I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us to
go to God in prayer, and as always I invite
you to join along with me in prayer. There's so
much going on that I just want to make sure
that it's people of God that we have compassion.

For our brothers and our sisters. Y'all.

Is so easy to be focused internally on what's going
on in our lives and what's happening in our families,
or not to be compassionate or looking or sensitive to
what's going on with our brothers and our sisters that
we work alongside or that we worship alongside. Every single day,
I want to pray about having a heart of compassion.
(00:43):
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come
before you today asking for a heart that reflects your love,
a heart that sees the needs of others and responds
with kindness, with mercy, and with understanding. Lord, teach us
to feel what you feel, to care like you care,
and to love like you love. Father, Soften our hearts

to the hurting, to the lonely, to the overlooked and
the broken. Remove the heartness that sometimes beilds from pride,
from business or just indifference. God, help us out to
turn away when we see suffering, but to step in
with your spirit leading the way. Lord, give us eyes
to see beyond appearances, ears to hear unspoken cries in

hands God that are willing to serve. Teach us to
speak words that heal instead of hurt, to offer encouragement
instead of judgment, and to extend grace God, even.

Let our compassion be active and not passive, reaching out
to those who needed most. Father, we pray for patience
when others frustrate us, for gentleness when the world is harsh,
and for humility when we feel superior. Help us to
remember that every person we meet is created in your

image and worthy of dignity and love. God, we act
that our hearts would break for the things that break
your heart. Let our love flow in practical ways through
our time, our words, and our actions. May our compassion
become a light in a dark world, a reflection of
your mercy and a.

Lord, remind us that love and compassion are not signs
of weakness, but of strength.
