Speaker 1 (00:04):
Come see me.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Shane and Sam taken the biggest puma. But it will
be out at walk Ons. It's basically two eighty one.
And what's a cross street there? I know they had
their street, but it's too eighty one and I think
it's near I forget.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Just search walk Ons.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Yeah it's in the one.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Yeah, so search walk Ons and you'll find it. Come
out there and say hello to us.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
I'm excited, you know, might have some stuff throw at you.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
We might have some free giveaways speaking up two one zero, seven, three, six, nine,
seven sixty. Look, I want your Spurs takeaways. Want I
want to know what the key to victory is tonight
for the Spurs and for this series. How are you
feeling as a Spurs fan? Just give us your take
and how long and how many games will it be
in the first round?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
And is this a good opponent for the San Antonio.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Spurs to face as this is the young squad that
has never been into the playoffs. They're facing a young
squad as well, So I kind of think the experience
level you want to lean towards the Spurs. I think
the fan level, I think we're ready to go, you know,
because this is Fiesta, you know, and it's Fiesta Court
tonight too, the City Edition Court tonight. So how are
(01:17):
you feeling? Two one zero seven, three six nine seven sixty.
I promise Shane will answer the phone. I know a
couple of you guys have called in. Just just keep calling, man,
It's fine. We got a lot of people here on Sunday.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
I tell you, it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
We just have a phone alert that would pop up
that someone was calling, and they's got rid of that
for some reason.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Now I have to look look all of.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
His damn two one zero seven, three six nine seven sixty.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
So, uh, as we look into the.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
NBA playoffs as we kind of finish up this first hour,
obviously you've got the thunder and Suns. That one should
be relatively over in four games. I think I don't
know if Phoenix can really.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Do anything.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Now. They were physical the other night to get into
the playoffs against the Warriors. But but like I don't
like the one game show.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah, because here's the thing, Trailblazer state, he tribled he
just went down to Phoenix and won. You know, so
with the Phoenix suns, I don't see them doing anything
in that Game's tonight or this afternoon at two thirty.
Of course you have the Lakers Rockets. Of course, nobody
really cares. I mean at the end of the day.
I mean I care because, well, there's a second round exit.
I don't see the Thunder not stopping until the Western
(02:20):
Conference Final.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
I care only to see because I think, depending on
the health of those teams, could either one of them
potentially take down the Thunder or at least make a
series out of the Thunder. I don't know, especially just
because the Rockets without KD they didn't look as effective offensively. Now,
the Lakers looked good defensively yesterday, but they lost a
lot of offense with no Luca and no Austin Reeves.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
But that's what I was see.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
That's why I did not like what happened last week
to the San Antonio Spurs with the Denver Nuggets winning,
Denver Nuggets getting into our side of the bracket, because
that second round matchup between the Spurs and Nuggets, Look,
that's not gonna be a five game, six game series.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
That's gonna be a seven game series.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
I truly, truly, honestly believe that can the Spurs beat
the Nuggets, You know, but also at the same time,
it's like, hey, we got to get out of the
first round. You got the Nuggets facing the Tea Wolves.
Of course the Nuggets win yesterday, you know. And I'll
tell you this, Anthony Edwards, he talks a lot, but man,
does that guy not show up?
Speaker 1 (03:16):
He talks a lot. Shane Court dates just it's already
suits everything.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Because that's my thing is like, I don't think Minnesota
will ever get out of the five to six range
even with him, Like, I'm sorry, I just don't see that.
I know they've been to the Western Conference finals. I
think they were there. Yeah, yeah, you know, they've been there.
It's like they're quiet team. But to me, it's like, eh,
you know, because I don't think anybody in the West
could have handled the thunder last year.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
They feel like the early two thousands Phoenix Suns with
the Sea and Marbury and uh.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Uh now yeah, and of course uh the Spurs and
jail Blazers.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Have you seen that on Netflix?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
By the way, No, you gotta check it out the
Netflix jail Blazers.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
It's the untold. It's so good, man.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
I watched it yesterday because I had nothing to do
and I was like, oh, it goes back to the
ninety nine two thousand era for them when they had
Rashid Wallace and they had Sodommeyer, and how it just.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
It just didn't work for him, you.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Know, and how disappointed, you know, because there was times where,
you know, Rashid, they actually invited him back this season
and Rashid was like, Nope, y'all don't care about me.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
It's really good documentary. You gotta check it out.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
But of course you got the Spurs Trail Blazers, and
then taking a look at the road ahead for the
Santonio Spurs and Trailblazer series. You got Game one tonight,
April nineteenth, over at the Frost Bank. Game two will
be Tuesday, which, by the way, I'll be over at
Hill Country Honda on Tuesday doing the pregame, so come
out and say hello, because I'm gonna have some coozies,
some Fiesta metals, and some Spurs swag for you. And
(04:53):
then you got Friday, and I'll be over at the
Rock on Friday as the Spurs and trail Blazers go,
I'd say nine to thirty tip ladies and gentlemen, welcome
to a West Coast team, and then you got next
Sunday Spurs Trailblazers, and then Tuesday to be determined obviously,
and then Thursday to be determined as well, So it'll
(05:13):
be exciting. I'm glad the Spurs don't have to play
so late on their first two away games.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
You know. I like that afternoon game for them on
a Sunday.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Because I really truly feel Shane they're gonna take care
of this team relatively quick.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
What do you think I think they're gonna take care
of him at home?
Speaker 3 (05:32):
I The problem I have the Trailblazer is that offensively
they've gone toe to toe with teams like the Thunder
and like the Knicks and even the Spurs at times.
But the problem is defensively they get way too much,
They allow too much within the paint. Right now, their
only hope and the paint has been dominant Klinging, and
if you can get him out of the game, out
of the mix, they don't really have anyone else that
can crash boards down low even when Wimby's not out there.
(05:54):
With Luke, Cornette has been a better has been a
better rim defender this year than Clingon has. If there's
been times that you can even say, and I don't
know why they do this when they go small and
then you see someone like like Carter Bryant play the
de facto five, which we've seen, which I don't like
that they they've done that, but they have. He crashed
the boards as well, and there's been times that when
you're the Blaze. If you watch them play, they they
reluctantly rebound. They are a team that likes to control
(06:17):
pace offensively. They are not a defensive dominant team. That
is that's been there, that's not been their mo this year.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Do you think that there's gonna be any butterflies from
our team tonight?
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Sure there will.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
It's it's natural though, at least at least from the
younger players. I I this is Wimby's first playoff series.
It's because it's the Cells first places, it's Castle's first
playsteris it's understandablet least the first game coming in. I
would say like at the very least, it doesn't mean
I think it'll affect the outcome, but it's natural. If
if it's your first time doing something, there's gonna be
some nerves.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
I think it's the first bucket that needs to fall,
if that makes sense. Once they get that bucket in there,
and everybody's wearing the shirts tonight and they know they
are at home, the Spurs will just rocket.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
One hour down, one hour to go. More on the fanatics.
