atmosphere there as well, but the prices are actually pretty reasonable.

You gotta love the fact that I mean, I'm driving
around with my Spurs flag now, you know, truck in
the parking.

It's amazing what players will do to just play through
the pain. And I think Darren Fox understood that mission
after sitting out the first two games of this series.

And how key was that from Mitch Johnson.

And when you look at the sant Antonio Spurs in game one,
you didn't have Daron Fox, you had Dylan Harper. Yeah,
you had a rookie leading this group in OKC and
you gotta win.

Ironically, at the start of the season, we're wondering why
did y'all draft the point guard when we just signed
a point guard? And here we are saying, like, why
don't we just trade this point guard because we have
this point guard. We've talked about this all year. Deep
backcourts are starting to win championships. The Thunder last year
won a championship with the deep backcourt. The Celtics years
before that deep backcourt. You can't win in today's NBA

if you don't have depth at the one, two and
even stretch to the three. You need guys who were
fast that can control the ball to win, to win
this in today's NBA.

And last night, okay, so you only went nine deep,
which was odd to me because they were running ten
to twelve.

great season, or wow, we just won the Western Conference finals,

is why we're behind the mics and not a coaching staff.

I'll tell you what doing last last night was actually
the first game of the playoffs. I didn't go in
with a little bit anxiety. I was like, I guess
content because I knew, like, okay, if we lose, that sucks.
But I was more calm about this one than I
was through the rest of the series, which we don't.

Know, worry well could be because well, if you look
at it, Shane, you kind of had the mindset of, well,
if we lose. Okat, we had nothing to lose last night.
If we were to lose, they were like, oh see,
we're the better team.

as the head of the NBA. Maybe he shouldn't have
said that, but you know, what's gonna that's gonna lead
to Shane what's that over the next couple of years
in James you know, by the way, he's a great
follow on social media as well. But the thing is,
this is gonna lead to a lot of opportunities, and
I do want to kind of set it up for

you're gonna have certain players who are Vets that are
gonna be interested in playing with Wimby.

Now, the challenge for the Spurs over the next couple
of years is keeping everybody together, right, So Brian Wright's
gonna have to figure that out. And look, man, I'll
look at this draft that's coming up. We might not
even draft anybody. We might just trade the pick, you know,
because at this point, the Spurs are ahead of schedule.
Remember we said that about okay, see, but they're ahead

of schedule. Nobody picked them to go to the finals.
Nobody picked them to go to the Western Conference finals.
It was the Thunders to lose. It was this and that.
Remember the Thunder started twenty four and two. The reality
check hit them in the semi finals of the NBA Cup.

And then they went eight and four against the Spurs.

You know, and I will say this, you know, in
this NBA Finals, I know everybody's like, well, the New
York Knicks own the owned you know, Wimby in the Spurs.
If I go to that NBA Cup final, do we
remember what happened with Wimby's family. His grandmother had just died,
you know, and so his emotions there again, people don't

like an emotional player. Will get used to it. The
face of the NBA is emotional. It's okay to be emotional.
It's okay toe Lebron, James or Jordan cry before. Yes, sorry, Nick,
fan that you've never seen that before because Patrick Ewings
never had a chance to cry before. He cried when
we beat him in five games. You've never seen people
get emotional. That's not our fault, you know. And that's

the thing is we're winners here in San Antonio, New
York fans. Because I'm already starting it. I'm already starting
at Shane. I'm Steph castling it right now. I'm getting

I know man's it was excited. It was an emotional
night overall because again, like this Spurs team, like you said,
they're a young team. But also we don't always see
a ton of emotion outside of guys like kJ even
like Wenby sometimes is emotional in a good way at
the outbursts. I love seeing the get in your face
attitude from guys like Vasell, guys like Castle, Daron Fox
and Don't Harp. But they're not those guys, no, but
they definitely brought the energy to where like other guys

were act to even Luke Cornett shot to him he
was also getting hyped in this game. Julian Champenne. He
know he has that little slis that sly smile that
he kind of like like peeks out the side of
the mouth. He was wide eyed and I loved it.

For the last three games Game five, Game six, and
games seven for Julian Champagne defensive output too, it took
a step up and in my head I was like
if this man finds his shot. The Spurs have this
he found his shot in Game five, and I know
we came up shorthanded there, but in game the tail between,
like I know, a lot of Spurs fans say, well,
how come we didn't win Game five because we were

playing catch up the whole game. The difference between Game
five and Game seven is that we weren't playing. We
were saying, hey, come catch us, right, and they would
get close enough, close enough to where it was uncomfortable.
But in a game seven, it's going to be uncomfortable.
Now Here's the thing too. If the finals extend to

seven games, advantage Spurs, because the Knicks have been nowhere
near that in their playoff run.

And let's be honest, if.

Boston was still in it, we wouldn't be saying the Knicks,
you know, and I don't know.

About Detroit because that was just kind of weird.

Detroit's offense fell off since like midw through.

April, right, But if it wasn't for those top two teams,
the Knicks would not be here. The Knicks have struggled
against top two teams and they them and the Knicks
have always been the three seed for the past couple
of seasons, right, and they've gone through coaching staffs, you know,
faster than you can think. Yeah, Mike Brown's got him
going there. And Mike Brown has been in the finals.
He has coached in the finals, respect you.

I mean, yeah, we're the surprise.

But I don't think the Spurs are going to settle
for saying, oh, yeah, it's just a privilege to be
in the NBA Finals.
