forty one degrees in Boston. It's eleven o'clock on this
Sunday morning. Hello, thanks for being with us. I'm Sherry Small.
Here's what's happening. Friends of a thirteen year old who
was killed in an accident in Stoneham are devastated by

the boy's death. CBS News Boston's palmert has that record.

A lot? Man hugs, tears and broken hearts surround the
Stonehum community as a more in the death of a
thirteen year old boy who died after being hit by
a car while on an electric dirt bike.

I can't believe we've already gone.

He was only thirteen.

Nothings like that should ever happened to a thirteen year old.
Never in the world.

Please hear the crash happen on Oak Street around four
point thirty on Friday afternoon. A seventy three year old
man was driving a Toto Corolla and began to turn
left from Oak Street to Royal Street when the teen
on the e bike ran into the car. He was
rushed tomaight, but do not survive Elio Xavier was working nearby.
You heard the crash and came to the teens ad.

Everybody had a heart break, break hard over there because
it's very said.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
It's Judge thirteen years old. On Saturday. Dozens of his
friends came by, leaving flowers, signs and some of his
favorite drinks. The memorial just a few feet away from
the incident.

The victim identified as Parker Robles, who attended John Glenn
Middle School. Grief counselors will be available to students at
the middle school and at Lane Elementary School tomorrow. A
sixteen year old boy is arrested in Jamaica, plane charged
with a twenty twenty four murder. That deadly shooting happened
sixteen months ago in Mattapan at Gladeside Avenue and don

Wood Terrace. Police say they found two people shot in
a car. One victim, seventeen year old Christian Cousins of Stowton,
died from his injuries. Investigators have not yet said if
the sussect and Cousins knew each other, but they say
they do not believe the shooting was a random attack.
The juvenile will be arigned in Suffolk Superior Court. President

Trump now says his twenty eight point piece plan for
Ukraine is not his final offer. The proposal the topic
of conversation in Geneva between Ukrainian officials and European allies.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
It was officials plan to meet separately with Russian officials.
Vladimir Putin, for his power, is already praising the deal. Meanwhile,
President Zelenski posted on social media that the Ukrainians are
currently meeting with the Americans and the Europeans. He says
he hopes there will be a result and that quote,
we must ensure that the war is never reignited.

And that's ABC. Selina Wang reporting the UK, France and
Germany hoping to revise a plan they consider to favor Moscow.

the mid forties. There'll be a couple of showers around
later this afternoon into this evening, and there could be
some wet snowflakes mixed into the north of west of Boston.
Then we'll clear out later tonight out of thirty six,
closer to thirty of many suburbs, mostly sunny four Tomorrow,
not a bad day for this time of the year,
to forty eight. Then we'll turn out mostly cloudy Tuesday,

up to fifty. Then we'll have some rain and drizzle
Tuesday night into Wednesday, a high Wednesday up near sixty,
and then we'll dry out and turn chillier for Thanksgiving

Northampton getting clipped right now, Far western Mass in Pittsfield
as well. Temp wise, far Western Mass seeing low thirties,

importance of getting your flu shot. Pink and green scarves

Walking through downtown Loll and you see a scarf hanging
from a tree or a light post. It actually has
a voucher on it for a free flu shot and
it's all part of an effort to raise awareness this
flu season. Community members coming together to keep loll healthy
this flu season. It's a cause that's personal to Rebecca Buris,
who started Scarlet Scarves. The group advocates for awareness and vaccinations.

We are doing what's called Scarlets Scarves, and it's in
memory of my daughter, Scarlet, who passed away from the flu.
We're going to be putting the scarves out on telephone poles.
It's free for the community for their taking and it
has a cupeon for a free flu shot on each

of the scarves, so anybody that takes a scarf can
also get a free flu shot.

Now, the group has been doing this work for nearly
a decade and they say that they've given out thousands
of hats and scarves.
