This is WBZ, Boston's news radio, redefining local news.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Fifty eight degrees at eleven o'clock. Good morning, I'm Nicole Davis.
Here is what's happening millions of people. Maybe you are
heading out to Thanksgiving destinations today, and the good news
there's a lot of good food on the other side
of that trip. It's well. The bad news is that
the worst travel period is underway right now, expected to

(00:30):
run through eight o'clock. And to avoid some of that chaos,
a lot of people are taking the train.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
For these Thanksgiving bound travelers, there was no way they
were going to spend their time stuck in traffic or
in TSA checkpoints.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I mean, driving is kind of a mess. Getting through
New York City and then flying with security, it just
takes the same amount of time. It's easier used to
walk on the train and get down there. I would
not fly at all.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
The train has its perks like stretching your legs and
moving at your own pace.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
And I'll be able to watch my movies, so I'll
be able to sleep. So I'm gonna like work for
a few hours and then probably we'll sleep.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
But whether it's by plane, train or automobile. The goal
is to get to the dinner table safe and on time.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I'm a dessert person, so yeah, the apple pie is
a big one for me.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
I'm going to go on mac and cheese.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yep, it's my favorite side At South Station James Rojas

Delays at Logan as well. About forty five flights have
been delayed so far. Thankfully, knock on wood if you
can find it. No flight's canceled so far, and of
course throughout the holiday weekend, we've got traffic and weather
together every ten minutes on the threes. No matter where
you are, you can find us streaming on the iHeartRadio app.

Now.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
While Plymouth might be known as the site of the
First Thanksgiving, it's also where each year since nineteen seventy,
Native Americans come together to hold the National Day of Mourning. However,
the United American Indians of New England is suing Plymouth.
They say the town's new insurance stipulation is violating their
First Amendment right to free speech. Attorneys for the town
say they want the group to get insured before it

(02:00):
will give them a stage in permit, but the group
says this breach is an agreement that's been in place
since the late nineties, and the agreement exempts them from
permitting The town says that agreement says nothing about insurance
or a requirement for them to put up the stage.
United American Indians of New England says the court should
put a restraining order in place order the town to
put a stage up in the usual spot on Cole's

Russia closer to reaching a peace plan.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Envoy Steve Whitkoff will travel to the Kremlin after Ukraine
reportedly said it has reached a common understanding with the
Trump administration on the outline of a possible peace deal.
Intense negotiations have been underweighed this past week, as the
US says progress has been made to finally resolve the conflict.
Peace talks are happening even while both Russia and Ukraine

(02:50):
ramped up attacks using both drones and missiles.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I'm Rory O'Neil, and we've learned a woman with family
connections to White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt was detained
by Ice in revs. Brunot. Caroline Ferrera who's from Brazil,
is the mother of Levitt's nephew. She was taken into
custody earlier this month. Online Security says she overstayed a
tourist visa which expired back in nineteen ninety nine. Go

Levitt has reportedly not been in contact with Ferrera for years.
For the rest of the holiday week, we are looking
at very very quickly changing weather out there, namely for
the rest of the day. Today, it is gonna be
humid and warm, and we've got some showers and fog

of sun peeking through from time to time, and we've
got temperatures getting up towards sixty today. But then for tomorrow,
we've got a couple of brief showers. Tonight Tomorrow for Thanksgiving,

then set the house on fire. The bodies of seventy

Nor Would police say several people are under arrest after
two young people were robbed at gunpoint earlier this week.
They say they were called to Woodbine Road Monday night.
They were told in bike, shoes and a jacket had
been stolen from the two young people by a big
group of people wearing ski masks. Officers called in the
swat team and tracked down one of the suspects to
a home on Walpole Street. I say a woman in

(05:12):
the home, Alexia Porter, allegedly lied telling police only her
son was in the house, but seven other people were
in there. They were all detained. Two of those young
people are facing charges, including armed robbery. Police say they
found thirty two grams of crack cocaine in the home,
so Porter is also facing charges for that and gun
charges as well. A massive recalls underway for any and

(05:34):
all by Heart infant formula products. They've been connected to
dozens of infant botulism cases. Rhode Island is one of
the states where this is happening. The company says it's
making changes to its policies.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
Infant formula maker by Heart has updated its refund policy
after revealing that all of its formula may have been
contaminated with the bacteria that causes botulism. The company says
it reached the conclusion after tests showed that five out
of thirty six samples from three product lots tested positive
for the bacteria. The recalled formula has been linked to
more than thirty cases of infant batulism in fifteen states.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
