up with news. The weather caused a major glitch at
last night's Boston Pops Fireworks Extravaganza, but they got back

on track and the show went on. WBC's Logan Hall report.

There was a torrential downpour over Boston, but after about
half an hour, the Esplanade was reopened and people started
flooding back in, and although there was a short delay,
the show went on.

And State police say that they were prepared for any
contingency and the evacuation was successful. President Trump meanwhile celebrated
our nation's birthday with a late night speech in Washington,

President Trump celebrating America's two hundred and fiftieth birthday.

Tonight, we pledge allegiance to the flag they gave us,
and we say God bless the immortal patriots of seventeen
seventy six.

But also delivering a politically charged address on the National Mall.

We want to keep America great, and we will do
so by approving the Save America Act.

And repeatedly denouncing communism.

And the speech was delayed by roughly two hours because
of storms there in our nation's capital. All Right, with
the fourth now in the books, the attention turns to
the dozens of ships that are about to sail into
Boston Harbor.

The tall ships are coming to Boston next weekend. More
than sixty vessels from all around the world will tie
up on the city's waterfront. I'm traveling up the East
coast for weeks at this point. Yesterday, the seled up
the Hudson River and celebration of Independence Day. That's really
what this whole thing is all about. Another way to
celebrate the US is two hundred and fiftieth Birthday. The
programming surrounding their visit in Boston is entirely free and

We'll see some sun around this afternoon, especially in areas
north of Boston. It's not going to be as warm, though,
and we'll have lower humidity with a high right around daty.
Clouds fill back in with a low of sixty six tonight,
and then it's cloudy and cooler Tomorrow. There'll be some
rain around steady at south of Boston, only around seventy
well at periods of rain that continue for Tomorrow night

into Tuesday, and some that rain will be heavy with
reduced visibility and pinning of water on streets and highways.
Tuesday's high is only going to be sixty eight degrees,
and even on Wednesday, as it turns nicer, it's still
going to be cool hi just seventy two, as clouds

western Mass warmer and Holy Oaks, seventy nine, seventy six
