weekend forecast. And as we enter this Friday morning in Boston,
well at six oh one, tall ships are starting to
dock at Boston Harbor, the start of Sail Boston. We're
just a day away now with the tall ship's arrival.
Wbz's James Rojas is at the seaport with a look.

The tall ships are coming. The tall ships are coming,
and some have already arrived, including here in Boston's Spot
Point Channel.

I have never seen this many tall ships in one
place before.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Most of Boston hasn't seen this many tall ships in
this area before.

Nnah Hunter with the World Ocean School arrived on the
Dennis Elevant after making a stop in New York City
for the sales two to fifty events.

So we're really excited to celebrate tall ships and sale
training as.

A part of America two fifty. The Dennis C. Elevant's
home port is in Milwaukee, but it will be doctor
this week right by the Molkley Courthouse, along with its
neighboring tallship, the Pride of Baltimore two in the Seaport District.

Today should be another great beach day out there. We're
partly sunny both Saturday and Sunday, but it looks like
we're gonna win out temperature wise, highs into the upper
seventies around eighty. You're going to be into the eighties
head west out on the Pike Inland, as it'll certainly

feel warmer in that direction. But nevertheless, we've got some
great weather looks like, by the way, we're going to
start off next week with some really nice weather too,
so quite a nice sunny stretch, and we continue on
this Friday with sunshine at six oh five seventy three degrees.
West Nile virus has been detected in Boston.

The Boston Public Health Commission confirming that West Nile has
been detected in a recent mosquito sample in Jamaica, plane.
There has been no confirmed human cases yet, but it
does confirm a trend where West Nile is being discovered
earlier than usual as it is in other parts of
the country. People over the age of fifty are at
higher risk from developing severe illness if they contract West

Six six Now, nurses at Brigham and Women's Hospital are
expected to be locked out of the building until Monday.

Brigham leadership has temporary nurses working over a five day
period following the one day strike earlier this week from
unionized nurses and other healthcare workers within the hospital system.
They are demanding increased wages and health insurance benefits as
part of their new contract. Everybody, from Governor Heley to
Mayor Michelle Woo and Boston is calling for both sides
