Two members of the West Virginia National Guard shot in
an ambush attack just blocks from the White House yesterday
in Washington, d c. There is a suspect in custody.
CBS News has learned from multiple law enforcement sources. He

is twenty nine year old Ramanna Luckemwall, Afghan national who
entered the United States four years ago as part of
the Operation Allies Welcome initiative. CBS News Homeland Security and
Justice reported to Cole Skanga.

Multiple sources familiar with the investigation TELLCBS he fired four
rounds from his handgun, then took the fallen Guard member's
weapon and continued to shoot. The two victims, both of
them from West Virginia's National Guard, were wist to the hospital.
They're among the more than twenty one hundred National Guard
members currently on duty in Washington as part of the

And both of those National guardsmen in critical condition. In
wake of the shooting, President Trump announced last night all
immigration applications from Afghan nationals are being paused and the
government will re examine those who are already in the
United States. Sean Van Diver is President and board chairman
of Afghan EVAC, speaking with CBS News.

ascribe intent from all Afghans because of this one person.

a police report, Hazard was furious with his parents because
his mother had difficulty walking and needed help getting around
the house. Officials said. Hazard allegedly confessed to beating his
parents inside their home and then setting the house on

from the dawn of the American Revolution.

He oversaw and trained more than four hundred militiaman and
minuteman here in North Andover.

He found at Bunker Hill and later died after scrambling
to intercept the British at Lexington and conquered. His house
still stands in North Andover without some intervention, maybe not
for long. The North Andover Historical Societies, as the current owner,
applied to have it demolished after it proved to be
a headache, but the town's Historical Commission has given the
house a year long reprieve.

Now the Historical Society is trying to find someone to
buy the property and restore it. Joanna Kur as the

Chicago native Pope Leo celebrated Thanksgiving early at Castle Grandolpho,
just outside of Rome, the Pope's summer residence. There's an
American chef on hand to whip up a classic American
Thanksgiving feast with an Italian twist. Leo will spend his
first official Thanksgiving as Pope in Turkey, on his first
foreign trip. In Leo's message to the world, he's urging
people to recognize the many gifts that we have received,
