got plenty of showers out there already, as we are
already water longed and shaking off that rain as it
continues to fall. Only in the upper sixties today, a
nice mild night Tonight, we're near perfect. Tomorrow we're looking

at upper seventies. The sunshine will return, then the heat
returns for Thursday. The American dream at the World Cup

thousand dollars to an organization helping local students in financial need,
the mass Teachers Association announcing the gift for the nonprofit
that's called the Massachusetts Child Mike Teven, who organized transportation
for the Tartan Army, saying, quote, some of the most
enduring memories from the World Cup will be Scotland fans
traveling to Foxborough on fleets of school buses. It seems

appropriate that local school kids should benefit. Amen to that.
Grants can be used for things like clothing, school supplies,
books and also k through twelve students in need. No
matter what happens at the end of this World Cup,
I think the Tartan Army in Boston and the impact
they left, we're going to be remembering that for years.
Meantime at summer program is back filling kids' bellies without

costing mom or dad of pennies.

School's out for summer, and that means Summer Eats is
back serving up free meals to kids.

When we say like, oh, there's a food truck outside
offering free lunch to kids, they're always just thrilled.

The program, supported by Project Bred, gives out free meals
to kids and teens under eighteen. There's hundreds of locations
like the one here in Salem outside Salem Public Library.

We used to serve it in the library, but now
they've started bringing a food truck around.

Simone Lorraine has the children's department, and.

It's just a really wonderful way to get honestly kids
into the library and get kids fed.

Graham Platner. She's denying a new allegation against him.

dated Graham Platner on and off for more than two years.
She tells Politico in late twenty twenty one, Platner entered
her home while drunk and forced himself on her. While
the Democrat challenging incumbent Senator Susan Collins as in a
video message that the allegation is.

False, regardless of the inaccuracy of the reporting, but mindful
the political reality it will inflect.

We are taking the time to reflect on the best
path forward under state law and main. Platae has a
week to decide whether to withdraw from the race in

of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warrens. She has now withdrawn that,
so has Senator Ed Markey and Congressman Seth Moulton, all
pulling their endorsements and asking Plattner to step away from
the race. Well. Some forty five hundred nurses and clinicians
getting ready to walk off the job tomorrow in Massachusetts

a one day workers strike at Brigham and Women's Hospital,
Mass General Brigham Home Care and they are set to
get underway at tomorrow at seven am. That's when the
picket lines will start now. The union said negotiations went
on last week, but the final bargaining sessions ended with
no deal. Mass General Brigham leadership has replacement nurses on
standby and they're prepared to lock the striking workers out

of the hospital for days if needed. Meantime, lawmakers on
Beacon Hill one step closer to returning emergency care south
of Boston.

State and leaders have spoken with initial approval from the
Senate during informal session to back a build that would
authorize the state to take land that currently occupies a
half builled structure that was to replace Norwood Hospital, which
closed six years ago due to extreme flooding. And so
have townfolk.

We need a hospital.

A lot of people I know work there. Yeah, we
definitely need it.

The legislation brought forth by State Rep. John Rodgers would
restore emergency room service in a que care to a
