Let's start with Dundalk and CCBC.

Yeah, so the new key Bridge is being gonna be
built in the next few years and they don't have
enough people who know how to weld to build it.
So I think this is great because I think local
jobs and you know, people doing trades.

I think this is amazing. So yeah, the takeaway here
is if you would be a person who might be
interested in this type of work, go to CCBC and
Dundalk and inquire this new program they're starting. They're gonna
have you trained and ready to start building the key bridge.

So and I just think that's the coolest thing that
you could be involved with, is like building the new Keybridge.

It's so awesome. The other trending story if you go
to sam Club or Costco or all these stores, now
they're all carrying post Malone Oreo cookies and we wanted

So NASA has been keeping an eye on this asteroid
that they said could hit Earth in twenty thirty two,
and about a week ago there's a one percent chance.

Now it's a two percent chance. That's doubled. So they're like, oh,

But they're saying that even if it did hit the Earth,
the impact would only cause local damage.

say that GLP one drugs can actually reduce how much
people drink. I think do you think it's kind of
weird how they keep saying that this drug keeps doing
more and more things.

A miracle drug, all right, that's what they're trying to say. Well,
maybe they could do something with it for the flu cases.
Supposedly flu cases highest in years, right, the highest flu
cases in fifteen years? Great, wash your hands? Oh how
about this?

Reddit trends are saying that teens are falling in love
with Ai? So some recent searches include can I fall
in love with Ai?

And is it okay for me to love my computer?
Can you marry AI? I think this is really interesting?

Okay, So one of the teens that they interviewed said,
imagine having a partner that's available just by opening an app.
They're always ready to talk to you about anything, and
they never judge you. I'm like, my heart it breaks
a little for the teens.

You're a weird place, yeah, you know. And you know
we don't write anymore like with our hands like penmanship gone. Yeah,
you know. It just it just hits me how much
things are changing. Things are so different. AI is changing
the way we do everything.

I know. I just feel bad, Like I feel like
this might be a peek into the future. The psyche
of our teens, you know, like a yeah, are they lonely?
What do they need from us that they're trying to
get from AI? You know, I think it's sad okay,

like quote unquote healthy sodas that it was like, but
just be careful because, like you know, these sodas people

I told him that that's what it is, and he said, okay,

Well, there you go. Well that's awesome. So is this
going to be your best Valentine's ever? Or have you
had a you know, a memorable one in the past.

This might be best my best one.

You know, it's not my favorite restaurant, and I don't have.

So his name is Drew. We met back in twenty fourteen.
I had actually just the prior year, gotten out of
a ten year relationship and then met him through a
friend and no looking back from there and we have
been together ever since.

So you've been together eleven years. It sounds like you're
now Is that the longest ever?

Yes, it is, it'll be eleven years this June.

Servers like that just irritates. Why would that bother them?

So don't feed each other. Okay. Packing on the PDA,
they're saying, oh yeah, that's I agree. Agree with that.

table or under the table, okay, talking cute.

See uh this one server said, nobody wants to see
a couple fight at dinner. But we also don't want
to hear you have baby talk or pet names for
each other?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
What are you going to order? As long as your tip?
And I wouldn't care about that far.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
I'm playing paparazzi. Don't document your date night or ask
your server to.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Really, come on, you can't hold on for a second.
I'm going to draw the line there. Why why can
you not ask the server to take a picture? They
have a job to do and it's but it's a
quick I'm not saying a video anyway.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Okay, yeah, I think it's okay. When I was a
server Rice team, when you gladly do that, that's like.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
You're gonna because at the end of the night you
always come back with that, well did you have a
really good time? I hope you did, and you know
you try to put that last thing in for a tip.
What do you think about people who sit on the
same side of the booth? I don't see why that matters. Really,
would that bother you as a surfer?

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Maybe not as a server, but like it, I just
always I'm like, see one of those come I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
I mean I grew up like as a waiter and
I thought that you're in the experience business, and you're
just trying to make sure that they're having a good
time and you want them to be happy. Still, they'll
come back again, you know what I mean, wherever you are,
I wouldn't care as long as they weren't tearing the
place apart. I mean, I don't know, that's just me.

thought you were going to get into kids, you know,
if you've got kids at the restaurant. Oh, this was
just about like, you know, date night or whatever.

Do you want to hear from you what really irritates you?

Speaker 8 (12:35):
You were sitting and Shauna Thompson, as far as I know,
that is Thompson Square throwback on Thursday here at ninety
three point one WPOC, Michael j and Bethany was just
talking about things that seemed to irritate restaurant servers.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Yeah, so for date nights, like what is irritating to Yeah,
you know, it would seem to me that the most
irritating would be if you really are busting your butt
to give, you know, diners the best service. You're running
back and forth to get them everything they want. You're mindful,
you're filling their water glasses, you're making sure you're right there.

(13:16):
You know. It's really it comes down to, uh, conserving steps.
You want to make sure when you're when you're serving
that you're like, oh, then you catch up anywhere you're
looking at, you know exactly. So if you're doing all
that and then they don't tip well or at least
proper because servers are making you know, restaurants have to pay.

(13:37):
It can get away with minimum wage. Yeah, so that's it.
The food business is such a tough business.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
I think everybody should do it at least once to
like see and have an appreciation.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Yeah, to see what it's like. Yeah. Uh.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Somebody on tech said, I don't think it matters what
people do. Let them do what makes them happy. If
it doesn't affect your tip, then who cares? Right, that's fair?

Uh.

Oh.

Somebody said, hey, I hate it when the man orders
for the woman. Does he not trust her to decide
for herself or does she think she's too good to
talk to the help? Like, what's going on with that?
That's interesting?

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Yeah, that is a whole old school U spent on it.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Somebody said, no, problem with taking pictures. That's a goofy complaint,
but nothing bothers me more. She's a female server, right then,
the female and the couple is annoyed that I'm speaking
to either of them. I promise, I'm just trying to
take your beverage order, not take your man.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Can you Can you imagine if you're a server and
it's a big party, say eight ten people, and people
are kind of talking amongst themselves and not paying attention,
and you're trying to get the order, and that's I
have annoying. I'd appreciation for that, And it's just a
matter of.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
It's a respect thing, like you have to respect your
server and your date and let's all just behave like humans.

Speaker 2 (14:51):

All right, Oh, somebody else said, we sit on this
stage just in the same side of my booth as
a partner all the time. He's spoke softly, and we
had problems hearing each other's Yeah, all right.

The outer loop between Rayster Stun Road and Baltimore National
Pike is slow right now, and between bel Air Road
and York Road eight ninety five South found between Ravy
Road and the Harbor Tunnel is slow and before O'Donnell's
Street emergency roadwork has.

you know what's trending and it is a story of
this town. That's kind of it's it's a twist of events.
We lost the key Bridge. It was a calamity, a tragedy,
we lost life. But now the community has gone full

circle as we get ready to rebuild. Did you see
we're CCBC announced they're establishing a new welder training program
at its Dundalk. I love this so much, just a
few miles from the Key Bridge, because I guess nationally
as well as locally, there really is a shortage of
people who know how to do important jobs trades. Yeah, yeah, yeah,

so yeah. They said they're looking for people who can
weld and they're going to be training them at CCBC
and Dundalk to do regular welding and underwater welding.

It was so cool, And then I just think I
can't think of anything more proud than being a part
of building the new key Bridge.

That's that's really cool. Well you are you also got
to be proud when you're the woman who got Dirk
Spentley to take his shirt off. I sure did, and
you've got the pictures to prove it. Now, I didn't
believe you, but you just posted that wpoc dot com
on the Michael J. And Bethany page. I think we're

And finally trending, there was a really bad accident a
couple of nights ago on German Hill and is it Dundalk. Yeah.
Utility vehicle lost control and went right into the side
of this man's house. He was watching TV. All of
a sudden a truck. Can you imagine a utility truck
just crashing into the end of the side of you.

You're just chilling and like he was watching a movie
and the truck comes through.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Well, fortunately everyone survived. At six cars involved in this
accident and a utility truck into the guy's house.
