Speaker 1 (00:02):
From the heart of the Space City to the heart
of gen Z. Welcome to Next Gen Conversation, not Dad's
Talk Radio. Ethan talks to you about the issues and
events that men are to our generation.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
This is the Next Gen Report put Ethan Uknan.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Hey, everybody, good Sunday evening. This episode is gonna be
a little bit different. It is actually right now as
I'm speaking to you. It is about six thirty in
the evening on Thursday night, the Thursday before.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
You listen to this.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
So today is gonna be a best of show because
as you're listening to this right now, I am in Arkansas.
I am taking a weekend trip.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
With my wife over to Arkansas.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Got a reenactment up there, Gonna go see some historical reenactors,
do some historical reenacting, hang out with some old friends,
and just have a good time basically. So I am
taking this weekend off, but I wanted to give you
a little bit of a heads up. So this first segment,
I'm gonna talk about some new stuff, and then the
second and the fourth segment is going to be some
(01:13):
stuff that you've heard before. It's gonna be a couple
of my favorite segments from past shows over the last
couple of weeks.
Speaker 4 (01:20):
In the third.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Segment, I'm gonna share with you in an interview that
I did earlier this week with Kyle Sinclair. He's running
for Congress. He's a very interesting guy, former vice chairman
of the Bahar County or Bear County GOPS. So we're
gonna be talking with him in the third segment. So, yeah,
I just wanted to share that with you. I didn't
want to give you just best of here's a little
(01:41):
bit of actually me. Although it has been recorded several
days earlier, I am going to assume that in the
day and a half since I'm recording this, the government
is still shut down. They didn't get anything done to
fix that on Thursday. I highly doubt they're gonna magically
come to a conclusion on Friday. And then it's Saturday
and they're off, and then it's Sunday and they're also off.
(02:03):
So I'm assuming right now that the government is still
shut down. If it's not whatever, But as of right now,
it's still shut down. So no big surprise there. We
don't really seem to be making any progress on negotiations there. Eventually,
one side or the other is just going to cave.
That's what it's starting to look like. But anyway, enough
(02:23):
of that, let's talk about real quick Trump's trip to Asia.
I think this was a very productive trip. It seems
like we've made some really good deals with China and
a lot of different things. We'll get into that in
a minute, but first, like everything he does, Trump had
to take some time to troll the left, which is hilarious.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
So here's the headline from the New York Post.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
South Koreans give Trump a golden crown and necklace before
feeding him beef patties with ketchup, which is funny. In
South Korea, President Trump received a massive gold crown from
his South Korean hosts Wednesday before being treated to a
dinner including beef patties with ca So they gave him burgers,
which is I'm sure fine because Trump is infamous for
(03:04):
loving burgers in and on to his long standing culinary preferences. Trump,
who has eagerly trolled Democrats who accuse him of harboring
monarchical ambitions, is known for his love of both precious
metal and slathering tomato based condiments on well done meat.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
And hey, that's true.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
It is you can see the pictures of the crown
that they gave him online. It's a replica of the
one worn by kings of the historic kingdom of Sila
shortly after he arrived in the country from a stopover
in Japan. I don't know anything about the historic country
of Sila. I have never heard of it before. I
have never seen this crown before. But it looks pretty
(03:43):
cool and it's pretty funny.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
I mean.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Trump has been very vocally trolling the left about the
whole no kings thing and just watching them explode over that.
Every time he posts an ai picture of himself with
a crown on, they lose their mind.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
So the fact that he went to South.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Korea for a diplomatic tree and the president of South
Korea gives him an actual crown is actually hilarious.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
I mean, that's just some good old fashioned fun.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
I mean, what's better than visiting your buddies across the
sea and they give you a shiny new crown and
a nice toasty burger. I want to be president. I
want a crown and a burger. What do I have
to do make me president? So I just thought that
was fun. So secondly, his trip to China looks like
we made a deal on soybeans and rare earth.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
And all sorts of other stuff.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
This is something that the Left was complaining about because
apparently it was gonna hurt farmers because China wasn't buying
our soybeans. And we have a lot of soy farmers
here in America and they sell their beans to China.
Speaker 4 (04:46):
So it looks like that issue has been solved. Here's
the truth social that.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Donald Trump put out after his meeting with Jijinping this week.
He said, I had a truly great meeting with President
z G of China. There's enormous respect between our two countries,
and that will only be enhanced with what just took place.
We agreed on many things, with others even of high importance,
being very close to resolved. I was extremely honored by
(05:11):
the fact that President z G is a z or g. Somebody,
let me know, authorized China to begin the purchase of
massive amounts of soybeans, sorghum, sorghum I've never heard of
that before, and other farm products. Our farmers will be
very happy. In fact, as I said once before during
my first administration, farmers should immediately go out and buy
more land and large tractors. I would like to thank
(05:34):
President g for this. Additionally, China has agreed to continue
the flow of rarer earth critical minerals, magnets, etc. Openly
and freely. That's very important. We need that stuff. I mean,
this is stuff like components for solar energy panels, which
I mean, we can argue all day and night over
whether or not that's worth having, but the fact of
(05:55):
the matter is the stuff we need for that does
come from China. Same with a lot of the battery
technology that we need.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
A lot of that comes from China as well.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
So having that flowing freely and openly, that's good for everybody.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
It is.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
It's good for us because we need it. It's good
for China because they can make money off of it.
And the soybean thing, I mean, I don't think anybody
should eat soybeans, because I think soy milk is gross
and disgusting in an affront to nature.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
But hey, if.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
There's people that make their living off it here in
the United States, good red blooded Americans who are just
soybean farmers, and they need China to buy soybeans to
stay afloat. By all means knock yourself out, go bananas.
I'm glad we're making progress on this. Additionally, China has
agreed to very significantly and diligently help with the flow
(06:43):
of fentanyl into our country. That is critically important. I mean,
fentanyl is killing way too many people. The correct number
of how.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Many Americans should be killed by fentanyl is zero.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
And a lot of both the fentyl itself and the
precursor chemicals are coming from China. This will kneecap not
all only criminals here, but also the cartels. We've had
all those videos coming out from Pete Hegseth about Trump
bombing cartels, and hey, if you hate that, best just
to put the cartels out of business. Cutting off the
(07:14):
flow fentanyl will definitely do that. So it looks like
this was a very productive meeting and I'm happy. So anyway,
from here, we're gonna go into some best of segments again.
Segment three, stick around. We're gonna be talking with Kyle
Sinclair that's never been heard before. You're not gonna want
to miss it. It's a great conversation. While we're at it,
go follow me on X at Underscore Ethan Buchanan. If
(07:34):
you want to see what I'm doing right now in
Arkansas at the dot Ethan Buchanan on Instagram.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
I'm sure I'll be posting a lot of pictures, so hey,
stay tuned. I'm gone, but.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
There's a lot more of the Next gener Report coming
right up on AM nine to fifty KPRC.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
We'll be right back. Hey, y'all, this is Ethan Buchanan.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
So this week I had the opportunity to sit down
and talk with Kyle Sinclair. He's running for Congress in
Texas's twenty first district. He's a former member of the
US Army National Guard. He's done a lot of work
in the healthcare system, and now he's running for Congress.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
So I talked with him.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
About the ongoing government shut down, and I wanted to
share that with you right now in this third segment
of the Best of the Next Gen Report.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Take a listen, hope you enjoy.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
The Democrats aren't going to be able to shift the
blame for this government shut down. It's very obviously their fault.
Anyone who knows how the government works can clearly see
Senate Democrats are using the filibuster rule to block any
sort of spending bill and they're doing it for their
own political purposes. And I think the Democrats were relying
(08:53):
on the American populace not understanding that, and the American
people were just marterer than the Democrats gave them credit for.
And now they can clearly see, Yeah, the Democrats are
shutting down the government and we don't like it.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
I mean, I would say even further than that, the
populace is not very educated on the process of how
bills are passed and whatnot. And so a lot of
people have to be reminded that in the Senate, you
need a Senate majority which has sixty votes.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
It is not the fifty three that the Republicans had.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
You need seven Democrats senators to come over and to vote,
and there are several that have, but they are not
at that sixty. So this is absolutely the Democrats.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Fault for shutting down the government and not.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
Passing a clean resolution, which they have done for years
and years and years. They've been given thirteen opportunities to
do it. And this is not adding port for either side.
That's what a clean resolution is. This is simply the
fun snap and veterans and WIG and all the programs
to keep the government functioning, and so this is not
(09:59):
adding other stuff which the Democrats are wanting to do.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
And I'll pause there.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
And they're using this as a negotiation tactic. I think
they want to try to peer pressure the Republicans into
giving them some sort of carve out in order to
reopen the government.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
But if the Republicans don't.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Seem particularly interested in that, which they aren't, and the
Democrats are taking the political hit for this, as they should,
where's the off ramp. Where does it reach the point
where Chuck Schumer says, fine, whatever, will vote to reopen.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Yeah, honestly, I don't think. I don't think it's going
to happen.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
And the reason being is because Chuck Schumers know that
his seat is vulnerable and he has AOC nipping at
her heels. She's the extreme left wing radical side of
the party. He's bowing down to that party, that side
of the party.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
He knows that.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
This is a losing issue, and he is voted in
the past on clean resolutions. And so this is about
health care. This is the first time an American government
history that we have shut down the American government for
health care for illegal immigrants, free health care for legal immigrants,
and a lot of people do not understand what's going on.
(11:20):
So the Democratic Party is trying to push subsidiaries paying
the government subsidizing the payment of Obamacare. It is broken.
It did not work. I'm a health care expert myself.
I've been in healthcare for twenty years. It is a
broken system. And the second the federal government has to
fund something, it's broken.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
And that's what happened with Obamacare. And so they want
to pay for Obamacare. They want to pay.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
For illegal immigrants to get Medicaid up to the tune
of one point five trillion dollars, and the Republicans are
saying absolutely not. Speaker Johnson has said I will not
do these deal behind closed doors, which I'm absolutely.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Proud of that he's done that.
Speaker 5 (12:02):
And I keep saying across the board that the Republican
Party needs to hold the line.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
The American people are behind them. Hold the line.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
So if both sides are dug in, how long do
you think this lasts? Do you think maybe we break
a new government shut down record? The record is thirty
five days. Do we get to thirty six? And if so,
you know what happens. How long can the federal government
remain shut down before you know, everything collapses. We're already
(12:33):
starting to see the effects Snap and whatnot is on
the chopping block. We've had issues with TSA, We've had
issues with air traffic controllers.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
That's only going to get worse. So where's the deadline?
Speaker 5 (12:48):
Yeah, I don't know if there is a deadline, honestly,
and you know President Trump and many people that have
been involved in of strategizing, they don't know the answer
to that question.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
I don't know if we'd do know.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
What we do know is there are eight hundred ish
thousand furloughed employees. You have veterans that are going without pay.
You have uh snap, which are the most vulnerable and
which most vulnerable population in our country that are now
starting to see the impacts of it. And the Democrats
need to do this. Look, I think what you're going
(13:21):
to see is the second Snap and Wick and and
some of these veterans paid.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
You're going to see them start to.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Quote unquote turn on the Democratic representative, particularly the Democratic senators.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
And you're seeing several.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
Already filling the pressure from the constituents, which they should
and I hope they crossed that line and to do
even what.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Fetterman said just just I.
Speaker 5 (13:45):
Just literally saw something from him talking about country over party,
and he's he understands the amount of people in his
district that he represents from the state need these benefits
and need these help systems. So I don't know the
answer to that. I don't know if anybody knows the
answer to that. What I will say is Americans don't
(14:05):
get free health care, and legal immigrants should absolutely not
get free health care. And for that, I would say,
hold the line, and if it takes forty fifty sixty days,
they've got to understand this is a.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
We will not cross that line.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
We will not fund free health care for illegal immigrants.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Now, you're going to be on the midterm ballot, what
do you think this does? Absolutely too you know their
chances in the midterms if you've got now basically every
Democrat up and down the ballot is going to have
to find some way to excuse this. They're going to
have to explain the fact that their party shut down
(14:44):
the government for you know, weeks and weeks and weeks
on end when Americans aren't happy about it, or alternatively,
are they going to have to do?
Speaker 2 (14:53):
That?
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Is the kind of political memory we know here in
the United States, it's very short. We jump to the
next thing, very quil quickly. So is this going to
be an impact on the Democrats in the midterms, and
if so, is it ammunition that the Republicans can use
against them?
Speaker 5 (15:11):
Yeah, I mean that's a long answer or long term thing.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Right.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
So to your point, right, the news cycle is very short,
even with something like this that's in the thirty days.
I mean, the second listing ends when it ends. Are
they going to remember this a year from now? Probably
pretty unlikely. And I would say right now, you know,
I'm in the middle of a primary for the Republican side,
(15:36):
but you know, these are talking points. And I'll tell
you I just went to an event last night and
I shared that in my race, I'm the only candidate,
only candidate that has healthcare experience. And that is exactly
what this continuing resolution and the government shutdown is over.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
It's healthcare.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
And this is the first time in over a decade
that we have had serious conversations about the implications of
healthcare in this country and how to fix it. So,
you know, to answer your direct question, I don't know
if this is going to impact mid terms because it's
a year away. I don't know if it's even going
to impact primaries, which in the state of texts firm March.
(16:12):
I do think that you'll see Democrats fighting to make
this a national issue. The news is trying to carry this.
I think the American population is awake. I think the
Republican Party is doing a great job everybody from the
President to the Speaker to send up majority leader soon
to about educating the people about what's going on. So
(16:32):
I really don't see this having a huge impact a
year from now.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Personally, are you worried at all about the precedent that
this might set, because yeah, maybe this shutdown.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
We ignore this, We kind of move or not ignore,
but we move.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
On once it's over, and you know, next budget cycle
the Democrats want something that Lord willing. If things go
well in the midterms, they won't have the votes to
get Do they shut down the government again? Is this
just the maneuver They just close things down until they
get what they want.
Speaker 5 (17:07):
Yeah, I think I think. I think they're going to
use that as a strategy. There's no way around that.
I mean, they're willing to hold the American population hostage.
Right now to get their additives added for legal immigrants.
That's what it's That's what it was about during the
Biden administration. That's what this is about right now, is
to bring that population into American and to make the
American tax payers pay for them. And we all know
(17:29):
it's for the voting population for twenty six as well
as future elections. So yeah, I do see this as
a unfortunately a strategy. I don't like it. I don't
agree with it, and I think the American people are
pissed off on it. Look, the Democratic Party has been
on the losing end of the majority of the significant
issues in this country for.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Many, many years.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
That is why they lost the trifecta the President, the Senate,
and the House, and they're still pushing the far left extreme.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
I think the American people are away in.
Speaker 5 (18:00):
It, and I think they're going to have issues in
the midterm in presidential election in twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
All right, well, I think that is all I've got
for you. Is there anything else you want people to know,
anything you want to promote in this last couple of minutes.
Speaker 5 (18:12):
No, I would say, please check my website out. Kyle
for Texas. That's Kyl frt X dot com. I am,
like I said, a unapologetic America First Agenda Republican running
for US Congress in Texas twenty first district.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Appreciate you having me on Ethan.
Speaker 4 (18:28):
Absolutely, Hey, thank you very much. I appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
So there it is our conversation with Kyle Sinclair again.
He is running as a Republican in Texas's twenty first
congressional district. That's the sea currently held by Chip Roy,
who's now running for Attorney General. Kyle's a great guy.
Definitely check him out, check out his website, and if
you feel like supporting him.
Speaker 4 (18:49):
I think he's a great guy. Anyway, stay tuned.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
We got one more segment of the best of the
Next gener Report coming right up.
