The family of celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton released another
statement yesterday afternoon, revealing more about what happened the other
night before he began cutting himself with a knife during
a TikTok live stream. He's been hospitalized for the last
couple of days. The statement said, just minutes before the
public live stream incident, Perez's children, niece, and sister.

Were inside the home.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
When it became clear that he was experiencing a severe
mental health crisis and harming himself. They immediately fled to
protect the children from witnessing any further trauma. Yeah, The
statement also said, our highest priority is helping the children
begin to heal from what they experienced. An important part
of that process is allowing them to safely return home
and begin rebuilding a sense of security and normalcy. And

then they requested that members of the media and paparazzi
leave the area surrounding the Famili's home so that the
kids could have some privacy. And I saw a lot
of backlash on social media to that statement. Considering Piz Hilton,
you know, made all the money that he's got by
you know, following other people around and kind of beating
the paparazzi.

Thank god his kids didn't see that, because just the
image I saw of him covered in blood, that would
have been so traumatizing.

Absolutely horrifying. We're also learning this morning a source says
the first words he said to staff at the hospital,
I need help, I think.

Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
They're also reporting that he is able to articulate and communicate,
but that he still doesn't seem fully aware of what
he did and what's happening, and that he's still obviously
really really struggling and.

What's with TikTok.

They said that the lime stream, you know, it stayed
up for a while because of moderator, Yeah, which he
screw that up. I mean, it was obvious what was happening, right.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, I don't know, that's just kind of their excuse.
But people started reporting it right away and it didn't
get taken down for like fifteen twenty minutes.
