Senator Mitch McConnell has been discharged from a rehabilitation center
after weeks of impatient care and will continue recovering at home.
McConnell said he will maintain intensive physical therapy during the
Senate's state work period while staying engaged with staff and
colleagues on Senate business. Now, did he say that in
video proving how well he's doing, No, it is a statement.

They didn't even do that. The Kentucky senator hasn't appeared
publicly since his June fourteenth hospitalization, hasn't been seen on
Capitol Hill since June eleventh, And this is having actual
consequences now. So the Senate, they are set to consider
Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche's nomination to permanently lead the

Justice Department, and with McConnell absent, Blanche can lose no
more than two Republican votes. And he's already lost too
because Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski, she announced this morning she
is not voting for Blanche, So you've got her you've
got Susan Collins, there are no votes. That leaves Blanche

no wig room here. If one more Republican senator says no,
and all eyes are on Bill Cassidy out of Louisiana.
If one more Republican senator says no, then he cannot
get confirmed because McConnell can't show up for the vote.
I mean, I honestly think we just have so much

going on, there's so much news and so much chaos
in our politics that something like this, it probably doesn't
get the attention it deserves. You have a member of
Congress who clearly, clearly can't do the job.

No, he hasn't been able to for a long time.
It's not like this is just some random accident. Other
than that, he's been fine. He's been struggling for years.

No, can't do the job and remains in it. And
we're just like, O, they whatever, it's it's nuts. It's nuts.
And then you add in all the other stuff that
we're seeing. You know, Max Miller, We're gonna have more
on on that issue. The Republican congressman from Ohio with
those abuse allegations, who refuse to get out of the

race We've got one after another after another with these scandals.
It's like it seems Congress in DC has been a
mess for a long time. Doesn't it seem a bit
more chaotic.

Yeah, it seems worse. And it's like, is it worse
because we hear about it and we have social media
and we're constantly, you know, getting the information or is
it really worse?
