Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Ryan Gorman Show podcast presented by Verah and Farah
Accident Attorneys from Tampa.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Well, let's bring in our national correspondent, Natalie Migliori, coming
to us live from New York City. Natalie, it's great
to talk to you this morning. And of course I
met Natalie Dana in person when I was up there.
In fact, Natalie on the Instagram picture carousel that I
put together. Everyone can check it out at Ryan Gorman
(00:27):
Show on on Instagram.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
The picture with you is the very first picture.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
I am so honored that I was actually surprised, but
I think that it's because I just make everybody look
so tall.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
That is true.
Speaker 5 (00:41):
It's a great picture though.
Speaker 6 (00:42):
You guys look really happy like you were having a
great time.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah, we did. We did.
Speaker 7 (00:46):
It was so fun.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
We we actually had lunch after we met at the
iHeartRadio studios in New York City, and Natalie gave me
a place to meet at and I punched it in
on Apple Maps. I will tell you Apple Maps of
no help in the city. It just doesn't work very well.
It showed me one location for this establishment, so I
(01:09):
went to it. Well, there were a whole bunch of
them around the city and Natalie went to a different one.
Speaker 5 (01:13):
Oh all right, well there you go.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
You know what, the magical thing about New York City
is that you take the subway everywhere. So in fifteen,
like ten minutes even I got right down to Ryan
and it was awesome.
Speaker 7 (01:26):
We really got to talking about everything.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Yeah, it was a lot of fun, and you were
covering it was a busy week in New York City,
not because I was there, but because you had Taylor
Strips and Travis Kelsey, the wedding at Madison Square Garden.
We had the incident at the Empire State Building with
the couple that decided to go to the top and
do their thing, and then you had America two fifty.
It was just one and the World Cup is one
(01:51):
thing after an he was talking about, yeah, which was
like the biggest story of them all.
Speaker 7 (01:56):
You know what, Dana. They heard Ryan was coming and
they said, let's just throw.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
The book at you. Let's just get going.
Speaker 7 (02:02):
It was just a whole perfect story. You really had
the true New York experience.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I mean, we haven't had a story about people climbing
to the spire at the top of the Empires. I
don't think I don't remember one, and they chose that week. Yeah,
the love story, that's the true love story of the week.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Right.
Speaker 6 (02:19):
Well, I think they they didn't want Taylor Swift to
be the only viral wedding, you know, the only viral
love story.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
They wanted to kind of top that.
Speaker 7 (02:27):
I well, talk about topping it, you're fourteen.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
I thought it was a little.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Bit of overkill though.
Speaker 6 (02:34):
And I don't know what you guys think about this,
but literally everybody who had something to sell or promote
took that picture and made an AI generated flag with
their And yeah, I thought about it, and then I'm like, no,
I'm not gonna do that. I'm not jumping on that
bandwagon because literally everybody else did it.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
That's that's the trend.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
You mean you didn't make a Ryan Gorman show I
did it with the flag?
Speaker 5 (02:55):
No I didn't. I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Sometimes she jumps on those viral trends, and sometimes they
got a good feel for it.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
She's like, man, this one's a little well.
Speaker 6 (03:02):
Yeah it'll get lost, Yeah, I'll get lost.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
What was the vibe like after the wedding was over,
because really, people all across the city were talking about
everywhere I went people were talking about the Travis Kelsey
Taylor Swift wedding. When I was at a diner for
breakfast on Friday morning, they were all talking about it there,
and I said, you know, my big concern was my
New York Knicks just won the championship after fifty three years.
I didn't want her to put like some kind of
(03:27):
a bad spell on Madison Square Garden and all of
a sudden, they're gonna have injuries next season. They're gonna suck.
That was my big concern at the wedding. But what
was the vibe like after it was done?
Speaker 7 (03:36):
What a take on that?
Speaker 3 (03:37):
Ryan?
Speaker 4 (03:38):
I always have all of it that's gonna be People
said that they actually couldn't tell because we're kind of
hearing guests sort of come out and become sources right
as they talk, and they're saying they couldn't even tell
that they were in Madison Square Garden. Okay, apparently it
was transformed. The venue was transformed, and they walked through.
(03:59):
They through almost like a secret garden of sorts for
Travis Kelcey and Tyler Swift. So apparently they really turned
this whole thing into their own thing in a sense.
Speaker 7 (04:10):
And New York City was bustling.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
People were waiting outside Madison Square Garden later in the
day on Friday, and also they were waiting outside some
of the most ritzy hotels because they wanted to catch
a glimpse of the people they knew where they were staying,
like they're rich Carlton down on twenty third Street, so
they wanted to catch all the stars coming and going.
But to be honest with you, once it was done,
(04:32):
it was done in a sense of like we haven't
really seen any photos.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Everybody's waiting that's for sale.
Speaker 6 (04:39):
Yeah, well, yes, I think Natalie, what do you think
about these rumors that it's going to be like a
Disney Plus special or a Netflix special or something like that,
like she's done in the past.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
You know, someone told me I was having a conversation
with them offline on the weekend and somebody was saying,
there's got to be a way she's making money off
of this wedding. Yeah, and I I wouldn't be surprised.
I do think that she's been very open in the past.
From what we know about her, she has done documentary.
She turned her tour into documentaries. In a sense I
(05:12):
wouldn't be surprised if we get a hole behind the scenes,
you know, thorough planning and.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yeah, likeway documentary, all the whole thing.
Speaker 6 (05:23):
And yeah, I did see a report somewhere that there
was a film crew on.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
Hand and all that.
Speaker 6 (05:28):
But there have been a lot of AI generated pictures
that have come out, like you'll see like people are
saying they've got the behind the scenes or there's a
picture of you know, the two of them and then
the family members and it's all.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
The Yes, somebody asked me.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
We're joined by our national correspondent Natalie Mgliori, coming to
us live from New York City. If Taylor Swift took
Travis Kelsey's last name, I'm like, hell now, if anything,
it's Travis Swift.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Yeah, he's taking her name, all right.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Nataliemgliori with us live from New York City this morning. Natalie,
thanks so much, appreciate it.
Speaker 7 (05:55):
Great to talk to you guys.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
The White House trolled Taylor Swift and Travis kell See
right after they got married on Friday. So the happy
couple had signs outside Madison Square Garden that lit up
and they said just married and and just it was
spelled tea and tea at the end like Taylor and Travis.
So these signs were all over Madison Square Garden. Well,
(06:18):
the official White House account dropped a post shortly after
with signs that looked just like that on Madison Square
Garden that said.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
Trump is your President and it's happened.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
So I'll share that on our exit, Ryan Gormich If
you didn't see it, but it was pretty.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
Funny everybody trying to get in on the Taylor Swift
Travis Kelsey wedding.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Oh absolutely, yeah.
Speaker 6 (06:39):
And I saw a whole bunch of other people putting
those signs up to you know, putting their own words
over it.
Speaker 3 (06:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Leading up to the wedding when I was there, because
I was staying only a few blocks away from Madison
Square Garden. If you walked by the garden, it didn't
look like there was anything big about to happen. But
then I went to the restaurant right next to the garden,
kind of connected to it, and the waitress has been
working there for like fifteen years, said, oh, no, what
(07:07):
we're seeing in terms of security and the activity and
all of that. She's like, some of the big is
about to happen here, And sure, enough, they actually and
it looks like they actually got married, because then there
was a question is it just going to be the party.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
They did a ceremony there, but I think they might
have already been legally married. I think they got legally
married in Tennessee, you know, within the last couple of weeks.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
But they did the ceremony and all that.
Speaker 6 (07:32):
Yeah, I mean, that's what page six has been saying,
is that they got married ahead of time. But they
did do a Sarah Store there, Yeah, with Adam Sandler officiating.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Ry. Now, let's bring in our national correspondent, Rory O'Neil,
whose report's brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate. So,
Rory America to fifty Taylor Swift Team USA, take it
on Belgium tonight.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Where do you want to start?
Speaker 8 (07:53):
Yeah, there's a lot to go through. We don't know
much about the Taylor Swift and Dana's probably been following it,
but we don't know many of the details. We've got
and some leaked information, but for the most part, everyone
must be following their nda and staying mom on the situation.
Although the entire cast of Good Warning America was apparently
invited and they didn't even give too many details.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
When they were on the air this weekend. I have
a clip here. This is a Ryan Gorman Show exclusive.
Don't ask me how I got a hold of this audio.
Just know that I was in New York City, you know,
leading up to the wedding, so you know, maybe I
met some people in Madison Square Garden and got some
(08:34):
microphones and stuff in there. There was an incident that
unfolded had to do with Adam Sandler, who officiated the wedding.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Take a listen to this, hey.
Speaker 8 (08:45):
Buddy, I'm not paying you to hear your thoughts on life.
I'm paying you to sing. Well, I have a microphone
and you don't, so you will lessen.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
You could see things got a little tense.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
Well, he appreciate the wedding, right right right. I write
a song for them and everything.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Yeah, and then they would go on to sing.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
So you're not gonna find that anywhere else and exclusive
here to the show.
Speaker 8 (09:10):
Apparently they got married before, but then they had the
ceremony with Sandler, and then they exchanged vows like twenty
minutes a pop.
Speaker 6 (09:17):
Right, Yes, yes, I just saw that this morning, that
they wrote their own vowels and that they each spoke
for twenty minutes.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
Can you even imagine sitting through that.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
It's a long time.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
And I got to tell you talk about Travis Kelsey
being a disadvantage.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
I mean Taylor Swift, she writes.
Speaker 5 (09:32):
Songs for a living.
Speaker 8 (09:33):
Yeah, yeah, but not Yeah, but they're normally not about
getting together.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
That's right. That is a good one.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
I did like Tom Brady, he didn't. Tom Brady didn't
Irish Goodbye. He dipped out of there early. Yeah, yep,
but I wouldn't. Would you want to have gone?
Speaker 8 (09:50):
I mean, it's everyone leaves New York in the summer
for a reason, and then it's the hottest day.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
So hot it was then, and it's black tie at
four o'clock the afternoon. Yeah. The picture in the main regrets.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
The picture of me in front of Madison Square Garden
was like at four in the afternoon and I was
in all black and I'm telling you you're.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
In a blazer.
Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. The homeless guy, who what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (10:13):
The homeless guy behind me had barely anything on and
he was hot.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
I mean it was that. It was that brutal in
the city.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
