Chris, a Trump International Beach Resort employee, was arrested on
accusations that she stole sixty five hundred dollars in cash
from a guest's hotel room on Friday while the guest
was out attending a soccer match. Sunny Isles Beach police
say thirty three year old Monica Peterson of Miami Gardens
arrested after detectives investigated the theft at the ocean front

resort located on Collins Avenue. So the victims old police
he left a black fanny pack containing the cash and
one hundred dollars bills on a dresser inside the hotel
room before leaving for the soccer game. That was the
game where Argentina defeated Cape Verdi in the World Cup
game in Miami Gardens. So the guest checks the bag,

cash is gone. Reports the theft and hotel surveillance and
employee key card logs during the event instigation help lead
them to the employee.

I think it's different for women because I like my

if I wear it around my waist or like you
have to wear it across your chest.

And here's the thing. Obviously you know the woman's at fault,
but if you've got sixty five hundred dollars, what are
you doing leaving it on the on.

The bus in a hotel?

Speaker 3 (01:42):
All those hotels have those little safe.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, put it in.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
There, very convenient. If it doesn't have the safe, at least,
like you bury it somewhere, you know, and like well
in your luggage or someplace where it's not just out
in the open where there's some fanny pack some dirt.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Outside that right out on the table.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, yeah that is. And wait a minute, what was
the cash for? I mean, didn't they just go to
the game. They didn't bring any money for that. I mean,
sixty five hundred dollars will buy you a lot of like,
you know, souvenir soccer balls.

But still, maybe the woman thought it was her tip uh,
