Speaker 1 (00:00):
I hope you guys still do the taxpayer relief shots
when you move.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Despite the government shutdown, taxpayer relief Shots still continues on
the situation with Michael Brown, and it will still continue
on eight to fifty Kowa. Remember November tenth, the situation
with Michael Brown and Dragon Redbeard is heading over to
eight fifty Kowa November tenth, nine to noon, have a

(00:30):
great weekend.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Caution you are about to experience the taxpayer Relief Shots
segment on the situation with Michael Brown. Caution you are
about to experience the taxpayer relief Shots segment on the
situation with Michael Brown.

Speaker 5 (00:43):
Can you stop that for a second. Well, I think
that come no Monday, November ten, when we hit the
eleven o'clock hour on Friday that whatever the day, the
love drew thirty four, whatever dy that is, I'd rather
than do that. I think we better spend a little

(01:05):
time explaining to that koa audience exactly what we're doing, like.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
A band aid. Rip it off real quick now.

Speaker 5 (01:12):
I know, because I want them to fully in because
you know they'll be complaints, So I want I went
on the record exactly what the who, what, where, when
and why of taxpayer relief shots. So just make a
mental note of that. You may you may proceed now,
of course, but.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
We do celebrate our god given and constitutional right to
self defense in the event that the criminal becomes d RT.
The taxpayers spared the cost of public defenders, court costs, incarceration,
and continued parole supervision. As the sheriff of Santa Rossa County,
Florida says insert audio here, County says, bind me.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
To them until we explain to them what we're doing,
and we play them with that, they will they will
get what they will get the joke.

Speaker 6 (02:00):
We have already been on air for a week. If
they haven't figured out the joke by then.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
They're they're Kowa, They're they're you know, they're the cool kids.
They won't they won't get it.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
The toity toities with their.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
Yeah, yeah, we'll have monicles and yes, yes.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Yes, audio here, you have been warned. Listen at your
own risks.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
Mike. Yes, we call them taxpayer relief shots. Because somebody's
breaking in your house, you're more than welcome to shoot them.
In Santa Craise accounting, we prefer that you do.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Actually, hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Or a chef Grady down Florida says, he asked.

Speaker 7 (02:48):
To be shocked. He demanded to be shot, and then
he forced us to shoot him.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
So we obliged him, which means what you really should
not do is he asked to be shocked.

Speaker 7 (02:59):
He demanded the best, so we obliged the clips there
to get that double click problem.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Yeah, this isn't going to change over there, will they have?

Speaker 5 (03:13):
They have they have new mice over there. The new
mouses might work. I don't attack my deputies.

Speaker 7 (03:23):
Don't try to stab or shoot my deputies, because if
you do, we're gonna shoot you a lot.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
And he'll oblige you. One of my favorite PSAs about
home invasion.

Speaker 8 (03:38):
Hi, everyone, recently, lady called nine one one here in
Panell County because someone was breaking into her house. There's
some guy.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
He came to my door, but he went into my
neighbor's house.

Speaker 8 (03:49):
This dispatcher gave excellent advice. I'd like you to take
a moment and listen to it. He came into my garage.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
She's trying to give my back door.

Speaker 9 (03:56):
Okay, lock your doors, keep them all locked.

Speaker 10 (03:58):
Do you have a firearm with you?

Speaker 11 (04:00):
I do.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
He's in my garage.

Speaker 8 (04:02):
He's trying to get in.

Speaker 12 (04:03):
Go get that firearm.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I haven't gun off here here, Leah.

Speaker 8 (04:10):
While the incident was still going on, sergeant was monitoring
the radio traffic and this is his direction that he gave.

Speaker 13 (04:17):
If i's got our PF subjects trying to get in
the house down of the right to use force.

Speaker 8 (04:21):
I couldn't be more in agreement with what the direction
of my dispatcher gave and what the sergeant gave over
the radio. Remember, if you want personal protection, buy a gun,
learn how to use it, learn when you can use it.
I'm sure if Ross Teple and I approve of this message.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Very good. Absolutely. Now as to compare and contrast, we
do these because in some places, like Canada, Police Chief
Jim McSween has exactly the opposite point of view.

Speaker 14 (04:51):
In the unlikely event that you find yourself the victim
of a home invasion, we are urging citizens not to
take matters into their own hands.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
We urge you to call nine one more.

Speaker 14 (05:00):
Want to do everything you can to keep yourself and
love one safe until police arrive.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
And be the best witness possible. This could mean locking
yourself in a room.

Speaker 14 (05:09):
Away from the perpetrators, hiding.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Fleeing the home.

Speaker 14 (05:12):
But don't engage unless absolutely necessary. As it stands, we
know the best defense for most people is to comply.
As you've just heard, a number of safety recommendations will
allow for those that are victimizing members in the community

(05:33):
to leave and not harm anyone. And my advice is
to rer on our place service called nine one one
immediately and let us take it from there. And we
see more often than not when people comply that you know,

(05:54):
the injuries are not happening and people are not victimized
in terms of injury or in this case, unfortunately, we've
seen the loss of life in some of these incidents.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
Guys delusional, absolutely delusional. So as I tell you, as
ill explained, I don't listen to these, I just hear
them for the first time like you do. So let's
get rolling these we have, we're trying to catch up.
We got so many, which is good. I'm glad we
have so many of them because it means that people
are beginning to defend themselves. So these are the number

(06:27):
we got. The number two's left over from g A.
Couple of weeks ago. We're way behind. Here we go.

Speaker 15 (06:33):
Ru's towed away. This wide suv riddled with bullets inside.
A woman was found dead after sugar Land police say
a man she was in a relationship with shot and
killed her around twelve thirty pm.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Upon arrival, officers located a female victim in a vehicle
with several gunshot wounds to her body.

Speaker 15 (06:53):
Two witnesses helped as officers try to save her, but
she died at the hospital about an hour later. Investgaters
say that same man open fire on two different men
at auto shops in Houston your Fondren in Main Street.

Speaker 16 (07:07):
There was a.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Report that a mail and a gray Ford Escape which
matched the description of the vehicle in the sugar Land shooting,
had been involved in an altercation with a mechanic there.
During that altercation, he shot the mechanic as he was fleeing. Apparently,
somebody came out of another warehouse here started filming.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
That suspect, leaving.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
The suspect then fired several shots, killing that witness.

Speaker 15 (07:30):
The shooter was later found near Fondrin and Creek being
drive dead insigned his suv. Investigators say he had a
self inflicted gunshot wound. Families of the two men rushed
to the seat, hugging and shutting tears as they hope
for more answers.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
All right, there you go, self inflicted taxpayer relief shot. Okay,
let's get to the award winners. We're going to catch up.
I think we may have done some of these when
Jesse was filling in and Jesse failed to delete. We'll
blame Jesse Ford. We won't blame.

Speaker 6 (08:01):
Can't blame Jesse because he's filling in and he's a
really good guy. I didn't delete any because I wasn't here.
So if there are summary plays, sorry, you.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Sound so convincing. Sorry, are you or are you not sorry?

Speaker 2 (08:17):
I'm sorry, I'm not sorry.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Okay, all right, we're gonna go to ten twenty four.
This is an award winner, a career criminal out on bond,
shot and killed by Oh you know, I think I've
seen this one on television. This is fascinating.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Here we go.

Speaker 5 (08:32):
H Well, thank you listening?

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Yes, Mary.

Speaker 17 (08:36):
Baltimore Police have not yet announced the identity of the
deceased suspect. Butt record show he has a history of
committing burglaries, and in fact just posted bond in another
case about two weeks ago. As for this case, the show.

Speaker 5 (08:48):
Wait, wait are you telling me that a guy has
a history of committing burglaries? So he commits another one,
so you let him out on bond, and then while
he's adam bond, he oh, well, he tries to commit
another one.

Speaker 17 (09:06):
Owner defending himself aboarded up storefront and bullet holes. Remnants
of a commercial burglary that police say turned deadly inside
a jewelry studio here on Fleet Street in Kenton, ear
least Thursday morning, surveillance cameras captured the believed sound of

(09:27):
the suspect attempting to break through the glass of the
front door. Inside the shop was the longtime owner off camera.
He said he heard banging, then the sound of his
front glass door shatter. He says, the unknown suspect appeared
inside of his shop, and that's when he fired a
warning shot and told him to freeze the suspect, he says,
instead popping up from a display case, the owner firing.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
Thank you. Opposed to Tuesday, Fleet Street on those things.

Speaker 10 (09:55):
He sat a man breaking into his shop.

Speaker 17 (09:58):
The owner called nine one one to report the end incident.
Officers and medics responded, pronouncing the suspect dead at the scene.
Neighbors reacting, and I'm glad.

Speaker 16 (10:08):
You hear the business owners doing okay, because you know, he's
a staple in the neighborhood, and you know, there's just
no room for criminals to be patrolling the streets in
a nice neighborhood in my opinion.

Speaker 17 (10:17):
Sources identified the thirty nine year old suspect. As the
investigation into the shooting continues, a check into his criminal
record revealed a criminal history that spans nearly twenty years,
with recent convictions that include felony burglary. In fact, records
show back on October fourth, he posted bond after being
charged with felony burglary. The alleged crime occurred in North

(10:39):
Baltimore back in June, and the suspect was due in
court later this month. According to online records, if.

Speaker 16 (10:46):
The guy gets out of prison and is immediately going
to keepit the same crime, maybe there should be a
greater review of relecing people these small businesses, like you know,
they got to fight to keep their heads above water
and like you know, make a living as it is,
and then you got to worry about the krimline on it.

Speaker 17 (11:01):
No charges have been filed. The investigation continues. Alexa Ashwell
Fox forty five News.

Speaker 5 (11:07):
Wow, talk about a great example of how one recidiism
is getting worse and worse in the country. And number two,
don't you think some judges ought to be held accountable
for letting people out in bond when they have a
long rap sheet and shows that they have they're a
habitual criminal. I suppose that's asking for too much. Another

(11:31):
award winner, this one happens to be local and off
duty cop shoots and kills an intruder.

Speaker 18 (11:37):
Littleton turned into a crime scene this afternoon. We're hearing
a homeowner walk up to find an intruder in his
home and shot that intruder. Kelly Worth went live on
Spotswood Streetforce Sonny, Kelly, you're hearing that it was a
police officer involved in the shooting.

Speaker 10 (11:54):
Karen, Littleton Police officers here on scene just confirmed with
us said the officer involved or the home owner involved,
as an off duty Denver police officer. He was asleep
in his home when an intruder broke in earlier today.
This all began around four point thirty. That's when Littleton
police got a call for shots fired. When they arrived
to the house here on West Spotswood, they found a

(12:15):
man in his forties or fifties hurt and he was
taken to the hospital and he was pronounced dead just
a short time ago. The homeowner did tell police that
he was sleeping in the basement when he heard the intruder.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
He got up, he.

Speaker 10 (12:27):
Confronted that suspect and then shot him. Right now, that
homeowner is with investigators for questioning, and part of this
investigation will include if to make my day law applies.

Speaker 19 (12:39):
It depends on what the circumstances are. If somebody had
a mental disorder and they accidentally walked into somebody's house,
that would never give somebody the right to just shoot someone.
There has to be an active threat against their life.

Speaker 10 (12:54):
Now at this point, investigators are collecting evidence here at
the scene, so it remains an active investigation tonight, It's
not clear how long officers will be here, but they
want us to remind everyone that there is no threat
to the pub to the public. Reporting live in Littleton,
Kelly Worthman covering Colorado.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
First, Kelly, thank you, were you whispering that in my ear?

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah? That was just to you Okay, so let's go back.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
I think I've got the right spot.

Speaker 19 (13:18):
It depends on what the circumstances are. If somebody had,
you know, a mental disorder, and they accidentally walked into
somebody's house, that would never give somebody the right to
just shoot someone.

Speaker 6 (13:28):
I would argue with you there, my friend, no, because
if they're posing a threat to you and your family, see.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
You and how do you know someone's broken into your home? Well,
may I see your last cognitive testing, your last exactual examination.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
Yeah, I don't agree with I don't know. I wasn't
paying attention to who that was, whether it was a
law enforcement officer or a lawyer, or just an analyst
from in the news station.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
But no, And let's say.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
They do have a mind disorder and they and they're
walking in there, flighting in their arms and they're yelling obscenities,
and you well kind of like do better Denver shows
us going on all across Denver. But that one of
those people happens to break into your home doing that,
I'd shoot them. I would shoot them, But maybe in

(14:20):
wouldn't that was that one in Littleton, that was a local.
Maybe I wouldn't do that in Littleton. Okay, Yeah, I
happen to disagree with that statement. I'm with you on
that one, Dragon, all right.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (14:32):
Mother of three and an armed intruder, don't miss with
Mama Bear.

Speaker 20 (14:39):
The Marietta mother who shot and killed a home invader
says she grabbed her gun when the intruder threatened to
kill her and her children.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
She talked only to.

Speaker 20 (14:48):
Channel two's Ross Cavit, who is live and Marriotta and Ross,
she told you exactly what that intruder wanted.

Speaker 21 (14:55):
Well, she said he kept asking for her husband, where
he was when he would be home, but didn't ever
say why. Mary and the police left this house after
investigating about twelve hours today following that early morning shooting here,
The woman says the man forced them at gunpoint, her
and her three kids to the back of the house.
He seemed whacked out on drugs, though, giving her a
chance to go for her gun.

Speaker 22 (15:16):
It was either him or me, and I won't going.
My kids weren't gonna get hurt and they weren't gonna
see me get hurt.

Speaker 21 (15:22):
She Quitta Green came home after hours of interrogation by
Mary at the police, telling me she did not know
who barged into her home in the middle of the night,
but said he was armed and threatened to kill her
three kids.

Speaker 22 (15:33):
He'll take them all out. And then at that point, oh,
that's when I stepped in front of them and I said, no,
you don't have to do all of that.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Queen said.

Speaker 21 (15:41):
The band kept asking for her husband, who was not home.
After forcing the family a gunpoint to the back of
the house, she was able to get her gun and
opened fire.

Speaker 6 (15:50):
The female told nine one one that she had an
intruder that had broken into her house and she had
shot that intruder.

Speaker 21 (15:56):
Police took Green and her husband, who arrived minutes later,
for questioning.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Family took the three kids.

Speaker 21 (16:02):
Neighbor say Grigg Street, a one way street featuring a
mixture of old and renovated homes, rarely sees police activity.

Speaker 22 (16:09):
I've lived here at my entire life. It just makes
you think who's coming in and it's one way in,
one way out.

Speaker 21 (16:16):
Green's husband believes there's another suspect out there who brought
the home intruder into the neighborhood. While they may have
been waiting of a husband, his wife was not gonna
wait for him to get.

Speaker 22 (16:26):
Back, and he seemed like he was a junkie. So
when you get high off drugs and don't know how
to handle it, that's what.

Speaker 21 (16:32):
Happened, Mary to Police have not yet identified the man
who was killed here today, saying they're still trying to
find his family. They also won't say anything about the
search for a potential second suspect in this case. Coming
up in Channel two Action News at six four. Chequita Green,
this was not the first time she's been involved in
something like this. We'll also tell you why she was

(16:52):
upset with Mary at the police following her long hours
of interrogation. We're live in Marietta, Ross Cabot Channel two
Action News.

Speaker 5 (16:59):
Who I'd like that part of the story too. I'm
a dragon on this one too. I think that's pretty
close to one we might want to celebrate.

Speaker 6 (17:06):
Now, we only celebrate a couple of ones, so if
it involves kids or puppies or animals, that we celebrate
the death of the thug on this one.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Yeah, But with her and how she protected her.

Speaker 5 (17:16):
Family, absolutely, and I can't help but wonder, you know,
listen to the tale end of this because I think
that obviously there's more to the story.

Speaker 21 (17:27):
Parody police have not yet identified the man who was
killed here today, saying they're still trying to find his family.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
They also won't say so.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
They probably know who he is, but they're just trying
to notify. Next to Kim.

Speaker 21 (17:37):
First thing about these search for a potential second suspect
in this.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Case coming up a child. That's interesting actual news at
six four.

Speaker 21 (17:46):
So Quita Green, this was not the first time she's
been involved in something like this.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
We'll also tell you why.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
I wonder if this was somehow domestic too, and maybe
the guy they can't find was having somebody come in
to attack.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Her, like an ex boyfriend or something.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
Yeah, ex boyfriend who knows or she's had a home
invasion before. And you know, cops just asked. I make
an assumption this is Mary out to Georgia may or
may not be. That's where I assume it is, and
she's not getting trying to protect them she thinks she deserves.
That was, as I'd like to say, Gang, good text
player relief shot, which will continue after these messages. That's right,

(18:44):
Michael and Dragon.

Speaker 13 (18:45):
When you move over to Koa and get all those
hoity toys, you're not gonna be dealing with those white
trash rednecks anymore.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
Yeah, we are. Now we're gonna have to rope you
off so that you don't like rub a against the
hoity toityes.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
And some of you need medication in shots, right, and.

Speaker 5 (19:04):
We will provide the vaccinations and the shots and the
and the ointments everything that you need so that you
can be in the same area. But you will be
roped off. So but don't worry about it. We'll still
prefer you guys anyway, y'all better wash your earballs too. Yeah,
and wash your earballs. That's the only thing I would
really ask that you do on your own because we

(19:25):
don't want to touch your earballs. So get that done. But
it'll be fine. It'll be fine. And by the way,
the hoity toy they need to be brought down to
size a little bit. Anyway, which do you think they're
bringing me over there? They want to cut them down
the side. We have our own sheriff, sheriff reams up
in Willed County who finally, thank goodness, somebody, some local sheriff,

(19:46):
gave us a little bit.

Speaker 13 (19:49):
This is what county Sheriff Steve reems. And I want
to encourage the people of Colorado to remember, you still
have the right to defend yourself, no matter how much
of a mess this state has become. While the Democrats
and the legislature and the governor of the state, I've
created as many barriers as they can to make it
difficult for you to own and carry a gun for
your protection, you still have your Second Amendment rights. The
Democrat controlled legislature and Governor Polis also tell us that

(20:10):
crime isn't out of control, but we all know that's
not true. In Weld County, I encourage every citizen to
have an investment in their own safety. You should own
a gun and know how to use it. If someone
wants to break into your home and threaten your family,
they should meet the serious end of a firearm. The
best way to end the spread of crime is to
ensure the criminal is no longer part of the equation.
As the Sheriff of Weald County, remember this. We love

(20:31):
our guns in World County, and we don't like criminals.

Speaker 5 (20:34):
Yeah, we don't like criminals. All right, let's go back.
We got some We're doing these from the twenty fourth
Another award winner, a suspect in Popo custody at a hospital.
Oh well, this is a little twist.

Speaker 23 (20:52):
Bruzlo's police chief is providing new details tonight after the
death of a man in police custody. Chief Casso says
a thirty two year old man took an officer's gun
during a bathroom break at the hospital and then took
his own life.

Speaker 12 (21:04):
Police say the man was tasered multiple times during an
altercation with officers while he was in custody. He was
being questioned about his suspected involvement in retail theft and
reports of impersonating an officer, but then had to be
taken to the hospital.

Speaker 23 (21:19):
Actually, news reporter Vincy Borrow joins us now a line
from Community Regional Medical Center with an update on this investigation.

Speaker 11 (21:24):
Vince Margaret Warren that altercation that happened between officers and
the suspect happened at the Northwest Fresno Police station. That
was before they arrived here, where police say the suspect
attacked an officer.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
An arrest turned deadly.

Speaker 11 (21:40):
Fresne police say a thirty two year old man from
Fresno disarmed an officer while in custody and shot himself
at Community Regional Medical Center. Authority see It all began
at the Northwest Fresno Police station. Detectives told the man
they were getting ready to serve a search.

Speaker 5 (21:58):
Warrant at his.

Speaker 24 (21:59):
Home started back last week investigating organized retail theft crimes
and this individual was identified as being involved with that.
He was also identified as being involved with several impersonation
of a police officer.

Speaker 11 (22:12):
The man agreed to me officers at the Northwest Fresno station.
When the suspect arrived, he spoke with police, but they
say it quickly turned violent as he resisted arrest and
tried to reach for a gun. The man was then
tasted four times. After he was detained, Police say they
found that loaded gun inside a bag warned by the suspect.
As part of police protocol, the thirty two year old

(22:34):
was taken to Community Regional Medical Center to be checked.
Authority say the suspect was handcuffed while at the hospital
and when he asked to go to the bathroom, police
escorted him and that's when it turned deadly.

Speaker 24 (22:45):
The individual attacked the officer suddenly and was able to
disarm him and within split seconds was able to shoot
himself in the head with the firearm.

Speaker 11 (22:55):
Medical staff immediately stepped in and tried to help the suspect,
but he did not serve. Chief Mindy Castro says she's
grateful to the officer involved, as the incident could have
been much worse.

Speaker 24 (23:07):
I am internally thankful that nobody in that hospital was hurt.
The officer, I will tell you this, Pete, You could
tell he was committed. He was not gonna let somebody
else get hurt.

Speaker 11 (23:15):
Detectives believe the suspect has the background in law enforcement,
but did not share further details on where or when
he served. And guys, the officer who is involved in
this incident will be placed on administrative leave as this
investigation continues. Living downtown Fresno on Vincy Bora, ABC thirty Action.

Speaker 6 (23:34):
News, Oh, put a pin in your BNGO card for
officer on leave.

Speaker 5 (23:42):
Yeah, yeah, exactly. Another award winner woman shoots and kills
a man who was destroying destroying something.

Speaker 25 (23:52):
And we are following developing news of a deadly shooting
that happened inside of a beauty supply store right in
the middle of the day. We just it's got a
new word from the La County Sheriff's apartment. They tell
us that around three thirty today, a woman shot and
killed a man who officials say was causing a disturbance
and destroying things inside the store. It all happened at
Pink Beauty Supply right next to Compton High. Investigators say

(24:15):
the woman is now cooperating with investigators and has not
been arrested.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
Did you catch that.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
She's cooperating and has not been arrested.

Speaker 5 (24:25):
No, next to Compton High. He'll be classified as a
school shooting.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Oh that's true.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, let's see domestic violence. Suspect
brings a knife to a gunfight. That always works out well, folks.

Speaker 26 (24:42):
To follow up on last Friday evening's officer involves shooting.
The victim has now been identified as thirty four year
old Frankie Navarro of Saint Charles. Police were called to
the scene of a domestic disturbance in progress on Hickory
Dale Drive in Saint Charles just after six thirty Friday evening.
When the officer arrived, he found the victim armed with

(25:02):
a knife and a woman in a physical altercation on
the front porch. At one point, the victim advanced toward
the officer, still armed with the knife. When he refused
to comply with commands, the officer discharged his weapon, striking
the subject, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
All right, kiss, those domestic boce cases remain serious. This
next one is local. I remember seeing this one on
the TV, and what I found interesting about this one
was the cars that are still stuck at the gas station,
the people that are at the gas station, the convenience store,
and all of this begins. You probably you've probably heard

(25:43):
this one. Six cops all fire.

Speaker 9 (25:49):
Around ten twenty on Monday night, Parker Police say they
responded here after getting multiple nine to one one calls
reporting shots fired. When police arrived, they say this is
where they found casings and bullets on the ground. Once
they got in touch with an employee here, they say
the employee presented himself as a witness, but that quickly
changed as police say things got tense. Police say they

(26:11):
saw a weapon on this employee and then realized he
may be the suspect. Police then discussed with the employee
the situation, and that's when they say the suspect pointed
a weapon at them. Six officers then fired their weapon
and say they then performed life saving efforts on this suspect. However,
the suspect died at the hospital. Right now, the doors

(26:34):
here are locked and as people still come in and out,
it's closed as they continue this investigation. They're very limited
on the details that they have right now, but we
know that police responded just within minutes. I asked them
about that response.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
That's the kind of call that is going to be
all hands on deck. Quite a few of our officers
are going to respond to that area. And so then
once they were going through the investigation and they.

Speaker 21 (26:57):
Were talking inside, the escalated, that's when more of our
officers did come inside.

Speaker 9 (27:02):
Parker police say this is their first officer involved shooting
since twenty seventeen. They say they're working with the DA's
office and those officers are on leave right now as
they continue the investigation. Reporting in Parker Sara Kobakowitz covering
Colorado first.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
So, mister Redbeard, I have a question for you, if
you're a reporter, would you be more interested in the
fact that six cops responded to multiple nine to one
one calls about shots fired or the fact that you
have what appears to be a robbery or something going
on and then you find out it's an employee of

(27:37):
the store. Wouldn't you be more interested in, like, what's
the story behind that? That's what I'm curious about. What's
that about? One more before we take a break, cops
shoot kill an armed car thief.

Speaker 27 (27:52):
We're going to start with some developing news out of
the West Valley where we're learning that Goodyear police shot
a man overnight. We're told that this happened just before
for about eleven AM near eleven PM near dice Art
and Van Buren. This is a live look from the
scene right now. You can see the intersection of dice
Art and Van Buren closed in both directions, so as
you head out the door this morning, you're going to
want to avoid this area. As for what happened, police

(28:14):
say it started as an investigation into a possible stolen
car in the area. On the iten they followed the
driver into a parking lot, when they say the driver
got out of the car and ran into the road
before pulling out a handgun, and that is when Goodyear
officers shot the driver. The suspect was detained, but that
person died at the scene.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
No officers were hurt.

Speaker 27 (28:36):
Here're at police now taking over this investigation and as
soon as we get an update, we of course will
pass that along to you here on Good Morning Arizona
and as always on our easy Family News up. You
can see investigators out there snapping photos right now.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
They've got a.

Speaker 27 (28:48):
Large scene blocked off as they work on this investigation.

Speaker 5 (28:52):
Yeah, we're out there snapping photos in Goodyear, Arizona. More
tex Player release shots.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
Next, you're changing stations.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
It's kind of like bar hopping, ain't it.

Speaker 5 (29:04):
Yeah, except we're going from the really kind of biker
bar to the really classy, you know, kind of Well,
let's just say the bourbon's a little better. Yeah, tequila
is a little you know, it's a episodo, not just
a bunk.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
We're gonna still turn it into a Hooters though, we will.

Speaker 5 (29:27):
It'll be a Hooters within a week, total Hooters. All right,
Back to the Taxplayer relief shots. Let's see a move
my cursor. Now I gotta figure out where I was.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Here we go and double click.

Speaker 5 (29:37):
Yeah, I just I just double clicked the popo shoot
and kill an arm shooting suspect.

Speaker 27 (29:42):
And the police officers were involved in a deadly shooting.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
Silver Barker just got to the scene not too long ago,
so we want to get her live with the latest
silver What's going on?

Speaker 28 (29:54):
Yeah, as you can see behind me, police have taped
off this section of the road here on Cherry Lane.
The yellow tape here and as you can see there
are officer cars here and there is also the BCI.
They're currently investigating this crime. According to Finley Police, just
before two this afternoon, officers were called to Cherry Lane
for a report of a shooting. Police say, once on scene,

(30:15):
officers trying to make contact with the caller, but no
one answered.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
That's when police.

Speaker 28 (30:20):
Say they went to the door of the home. A
man opened the door and took out a gun. Officers
fired several realms at the man, hitting him several times.
No officers were injured. The house was cleared and no
one else was found. The man was taken to a
nearby hospital and pronounced dead right now, the identity of
the man has not yet been released until the next

(30:42):
spin is being notified. We have reached out to police
for further comment, but no further comment is available at
this time. And as I mentioned earlier, BCI is currently
here on the scene investigating to find out exactly what
all took place here This is something we will make
sure to continue to keep you updated here on WTOL eleven.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
Alive and fit lead. Silver Barker w twell eleven.

Speaker 5 (31:02):
Interesting names, Silver Barker. Next one suspect fires at the Popo,
whatever what happens.

Speaker 12 (31:09):
I had a new information on a story that we
have been following all morning.

Speaker 27 (31:13):
The man who was shot by police in Jersey City
was taken to the hospital and has died.

Speaker 7 (31:18):
I Witness Snows, reporter of Jash Battel, has been on
the scene since very early this morning. Jasha, what do
we know about the moments that just happened right before
that shooting?

Speaker 29 (31:29):
Michelle san Pedro, Good morning. We learned early this morning
that the man who was involved in that shootout has died.
That investigation was actually focused on the sidewalk behind behind
the outside of a home earlier. There were actually two
evidence markers outside of that home, and that shootout happened
here on Bergen Avenue just around one am. And while
the scene is clear now, in video from earlier you

(31:50):
can see just how heavy that police presence was here.
And the Mayor of Jersey City this morning actually shared
some more information. He said that members of the police
street crime unit saw man acting suspiciously and they noticed
a bulge in his clothing that looked like it could
have been a firearm. So when officers approached him, the
man started shooting at an officer, who then shot the

(32:12):
suspect back.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
The suspect was.

Speaker 29 (32:13):
Rushed to the hospital where he later died, and a
gun was recovered here at the scene, and the shooting
will be investigated by the State Attorney General's Office and
the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office. The shooting happened here on
the sidewalk, like I mentioned, across the street from a
senior center, and neighbors near the scene who go to
that senior center had quite the scare when they realized
what was going on.

Speaker 27 (32:36):
When this sceniors come, I'd sent a few texts tacking
on my phone now, so they want to know what's
going on.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
So I'm pretty sure we'll be that.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
I don't even know whether in the center would.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Be open tomorrow.

Speaker 22 (32:46):
You know, you don't know all your neighbors, and you
have to just lock the door, look both ways, pray
and be safe.

Speaker 29 (32:57):
Earlier these streets were blocked off. They have opened again.
That suspect has died this morning, and we do know
that no officers were harmed during that shootout Live in
Jersey City, Jaysha Patel, Channel seven Eyewitness News.

Speaker 13 (33:09):
That's a story we're gonna have to find out more
information on throughout the week.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
Thank you so much, Sasha, Yeah you do. Let's see.

Speaker 6 (33:16):
I don't know if we have enough time to get
to another one here, but the thanks to the text
line to our conversation earlier about the local shooting here
where the either was an officer the advisor saying that
he can't shoot mentally handicapped person. This Texter chimes in
and says, colors.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
Make my day.

Speaker 6 (33:32):
Law clearly states three condestions have to be met. Illegal entry,
reasonable doubt that they will commit an additional crime.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
I think he means I've read that. I think he
means reasonable.

Speaker 6 (33:41):
Belief and reasonable doubt that they would use force against
someone in the home.

Speaker 5 (33:47):
Right, So if someone comes in your home, so that's
that's a crime.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
One.

Speaker 5 (33:55):
Two they're now flating their arms, screaming and yelling at you.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Two.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
That gives me a reasonable belief.

Speaker 6 (34:01):
And what was the thirty said that they would use
force against someone in the home.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
Yes, well, if you've broken in your home and you're
flating and screaming and yelling at me and threatening me. Bingo.
I got all three, but by the way, I think
you mean reasonable belief, not reasonable doubt that. So for
next Friday, we'll start with an eighty four year old
Korean war that shoots and kills one of two thugs

(34:26):
invading his home. Yeah, don't mess with seventy one year
old guys like last year or last week, or eighty
four year old guys like. We'll deal with next week
and then don't forget a week from Monday, November ten,
eight point fifty AM, ninety four point one FM nine

(34:46):
to noon. It's down in Colorado City, the Koa Campground,
