Speaker 10 (01:45):
The total initiative relative to what we're gonna do with
more border patrol and more wasn't Trump.
Speaker 8 (01:53):
I really don't know what he said at the end
of this, and I don't think he knows what he
said either.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
And your father was never considered smart. He was never
considered a good senator.
Speaker 7 (02:04):
He was only a good vice president because he understood.
Speaker 1 (02:09):

Speaker 10 (02:13):

Couldn't you mind? I would like for you to answer
the Okay, it's very simple to. That's why I asked her.
Speaker 7 (02:20):
It's very simple to.
Speaker 6 (02:21):
You're a nasty PERSONA I don't be rude.

Speaker 10 (02:30):
I mean, i'd look at right in that fat, ugly
face of hers. I'd say, Rosie, you fired.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
You call women you don't like fat pigs, dogs, slobs
and disgusting animals. Your Twitter account only Rosie O'donald.
Speaker 6 (02:45):
It's just awfully good that someone with the temperament of
Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in
our country, because you'd be in jail.
Speaker 10 (02:54):
She's shocked that I picked her.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
It's like, in a state of shock, I'm not thinking
about that's okay.
Speaker 10 (03:00):
You're not thanking you never do.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
She was big on defund the police in Minnesota.
Speaker 9 (03:05):

Speaker 1 (03:07):
If you don't mind, please say sound famid you this

to Let's see, I'm.
Speaker 7 (03:21):
At forty two and you're at three, So somar, I'm
doing better.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
So far, I'm doing better.
Speaker 7 (03:26):
You know you started off over here Jeb, you're moving.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Over further and further. Pretty soon, you're going to be
off the end.
Speaker 6 (03:32):
Is visceral response to attack people on their appearance, short, tall, fat, ugly.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
My goodness, that happened in junior high.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Are we not way above that?
Speaker 1 (03:42):
And would we not all be worried.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
To have someone like that in charge of the nuclear ars?
Mister Trump.
Speaker 7 (03:48):
I never attacked him on his look. And believe me,
this plenty of subject matter right there.
Speaker 9 (03:56):
Ryan schuling back with you, filling in for Michael Brown
on this Tuesday before thanks Giving. Lots to get to
over these last three hours to the talkback callers point,
that is the answer to rooting out the criminal, illegal
aliens in our country, in the state of Colorado, in Denver,
in Aurora, and the cavalry's coming, and it's led by
(04:18):
Tom Homan. And there's not much that Mike Johnston truly
can do about it. And I think there's not much
that he will do about it. I believe Mike Johnston
to be a coward. He's all hat, no cattle, he's
all talk, no action. As soon as Ice comes to Denver,
believe me, he will stand down. He is not going
(04:38):
to put himself in the jackpot. Not a chance. My
good friend Leland Conway had a chance to interview the
Vice President of the Border Patrol Council, Art del Quato,
and I just thought this was so interesting along the
lines of the topic that we're discussing today, including going
back to our number one.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I wanted you to hear it in its entirety.
Speaker 9 (04:58):
Leland also filling in for Joe Paggs tonight on this
radio station six thirty k HOW and tomorrow night as well.
Our del Cuato joining us now. He is the vice
president National Border Patrol Council. And first of all, welcome back, Art.
It's always good to talk to you, my friend. How
are you.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
I'm awesome man, Thank you for having me.
Speaker 7 (05:16):
It's it's a little different now, he since from the
last time you had me on.
Speaker 9 (05:20):
I know, right, we were both kind of worried that
some stuff might go sideways, and I remember asking you, hey,
if President Trump calls you up and says, hey, I
want you in charge of border patrol, and you had
a list of things you were ready to go. And
it seems like that's the alignment that Trump's going to
have when it comes to this, and you mentioned One
of the things you mentioned Art was was detention man,
(05:41):
and that was going to send a message, and that
seems to be something President Trump is pretty hell bent on.
Speaker 7 (05:46):
I shouldn't have told you what I would have done,
because now you know he told someone else and they're
just exactly what I said I would have done.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
They told your idea, like Kamala Harris told the no
tax on tips, I completely ruined.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
I ruined my future right there, no no where.
Speaker 7 (06:00):
It's I mean, the results is fantastic, obviously, you know,
for the country.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
And I said it many times.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
I said, look, it's not a win for President Krump,
it's a win for America.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
That's what people needed to realize.
Speaker 7 (06:10):
But the problem is gonna be these next two you
know months, will less than two months now, where you're
gonna see, you know, the groups trying to make as
much movement north as possible because the drugs are a
big deal. They're gonna continue to bringing drugs in the country.
And that's what it comes down to. I mean, it's
going to be an uphill battle. So I can already
hear the radical left going, well, look it's not fixed yet.
(06:31):
It's not fixed yet. You know, it's gonna take some time.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
I mean, you can't.
Speaker 7 (06:35):
You can't do clean up on Aisle nine when the
past administration decided to pretty.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Much destroy the entire supermarket.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Speaker 9 (06:45):
What do you make of people like the mayor, say
of Denver, Colorado, who is saying, I and fifty thousand
other Denver rights will meet the border patrol at the
edge of Denver County and we will physically stop the
border patrol from coming into our city. Now, this was
on the same day that news broke that an illegal
(07:09):
immigrant from Venezuela was being charged with raping the teenage
daughter of the person who owned the house that he
was staying with.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
So it's like, wait a minute, are you going to
try it.
Speaker 9 (07:19):
We're not calling all immigrants criminals, but you're going to
stop the border patrol from deporting people that are committing
crimes like that?
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Does that make any sense? What do you make of that?
Speaker 7 (07:28):
I mean, it's crazy to hear this because what are
they actually saying. They're saying, we're not going to allow
law and order in our communities. That's the first thing
they're saying. Second of other admitting that they're going to
pretty much help those that are breaking the law. And third,
they're sending a message to the world that it's okay
to go and move to those communities if you you know,
(07:51):
want to be a criminal and not want to be
you know, brought to the hands of justice. So that's
just that's just insane that somebody would say that. Look,
I don't care if you're on the right side of
the isle or the left side of the island. Who
wants crime in their community? Right that that just makes
no sense. So I think it's just horrible that they're
saying that that's borderline treason not just to America, but
(08:15):
borderline treason to their communities as well.
Speaker 9 (08:18):
Yeah, and what's sad about that is are you know,
I'm pro immigration, and I mean this country was made
great by people coming from all over the world. It's
just that it almost seems like our friends on the
left can't seem to grasp that. Until you have an
orderly way of crossing and checking who's coming in, we
can't have the things that I think most Americans want,
(08:40):
and that is to be open to other people from
around the world. But we can't do that as long
as we're letting you know, three hundred and sixty four
people on the terrorist watch list into the country, sixteen
thousand perpetrators of sexual crime, thirteen thousand perpetrators of murder.
We can't have that type of immigration system when we're
doing that well.
Speaker 7 (08:59):
I mean it comes to I said it many times
before of the administration as a whole. Their hatred towards
President Trump has been greater than their love towards country,
and right now it continues to prove that they're so
upset with what President Trump wants to do to bring
law and order that it doesn't matter to them. It
just law and order doesn't matter. The problem is the messenger.
(09:23):
The problem is who wants law and order. And that's
what's sad. I mean, they're they're true. They truly hate
President Trump so much that that they rather have their
communities completely destroyed by crime than admit that what he's
doing is correct.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 9 (09:39):
We're talking with our Del Cuado National Border Patrol Council,
so walk us through what this actually might look like.
President Trump has said that he's going to focus first
on criminal legal immigrants, like the situation in I mentioned
Denver as an example, but also in San Antonio, Texas,
in cities in Tennessee and cities in California and other
places around the country, Venezuelan crime gangs have begun to
(10:02):
make their presence known. How will how will they go about?
What will this look like in stage one, stage two,
and stage three?
Speaker 7 (10:10):
Well, I think first and foremost, they know where a
lot of these criminals are, so some of them might
just self deport themselves, though I doubt it right, And
then you're just gonna have to go in those communities
where you realize that a lot of these individuals aren't hiding.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
I mean it's they've been very open about it. Look
at the you know what happened in Aurora, Colorado.
Speaker 7 (10:27):
They don't they're not they haven't been really hiding their actions.
So I think first and foremost you got to go
to those places, try to.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
Find these individuals deport them.
Speaker 7 (10:35):
At the same time, there's gonna I think they're gonna
have to bring back some of these uh jail cell visits.
You know, back in the day you used to be
able to have like jail visits. So you go through
the jails and you pretty much check and see if
there's anybody that has already been incarcerated that had you know,
no immigration status, and you'd put a detainer on.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Them and make sure that when those individuals were done
with the crime doing their time for the crime.
Speaker 7 (11:01):
They committed, that immigration would be called and then immigration
will go pick them up because they were already detained.
So I mean, that's that's some of the process that
you're going to go back and forth. And then you
have to go look and have cooperation from some of
these cities that that's where it's going.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
To get difficult.
Speaker 7 (11:18):
You're going to have to have the cooperation from these
cities that don't want to cooperate.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
When they do detain.
Speaker 7 (11:23):
Somebody and you know they have a question of immigration background,
they're going to be able to have to call immigration
and say, hey, look I got an individual here, he's
got zero ID and you know he's claiming that he's
you know, he came through here, he wasn't born.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
He was born in another country.
Speaker 7 (11:38):
They're going to have to be able to contact you know,
ICE and immigration officers near those cities to be able
to go to the stop and check and see what
immigration status they have. So that'll be the big step
on what they're doing. And then Obviously, you're going to
have to go and try to figure out a lot
of these individuals that came into the country asking for
asylum decided to not show up to court. And that's
(12:00):
where I don't.
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Understand people arguing, isn't that what they wanted? Right?
Speaker 7 (12:04):
Didn't they didn't they ask for asylum, They want their
day in court.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Well, you're gonna get your day in court now. You
don't have to wait five years. You're gonna get it
right away. There's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 8 (12:12):
And then also, you're going to have to stop start
detaining a lot of these groups that are coming across illegally.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
You're just gonna have to detain them right there on
the line and have them prove their case before you
release them. That's that's another big issue. But I think
the number is those numbers are going to drop. Those
numbers are going to drop just because of the rhetoric alone.
Speaker 9 (12:32):
For sure, And I'm trying to figure out who their
constituency is when these politicians in these big cities decide
not to cooperate. Because if you look at the demographics
of Trump's election, and you look at the border counties
in Texas and other states, which by the way, are
in many cases majority Hispanic Americans. They voted overwhelmingly for
(12:52):
Trump because they don't necessarily want this either. So who
is it that the Democrats who lead these cities are
actually trying to pander to? Because everybody in America has
decided that we want this wide open border situation to stop.
Like you said, left, right, middle of the road, it's
common sense. And they're they're they're bucking against common sense.
It makes you wonder what they're thinking.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Right, And that's what it is. They're bucket against common sense.
I talked to a lot of individuals.
Speaker 7 (13:17):
Look me, being Hispanic myself, during the campaign, I hit
as many areas where Hispanics were as I could, and
I spoke to them in the Spanish language and I
explained to them, look, this is the reality.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
They all agreed.
Speaker 7 (13:29):
One of the things that's that's crazy is people don't
understand a lot of these movie stars and musicians and
you know, politicians that have all this money, they don't
realize that the average individual in America, regardless of where
they're from, those that are here legally, they want to
feel safe in their homes right. They want to be
able to send their kids to school and not have
to worry about you know, some dang trying to bring
(13:52):
drugs into the school system or commit other crimes. They
want to feel safe. Uh, And that's what I think
these individuals don't understand. They have understood for a long time.
That's why the country spoke, and the country, the majority
of the country voted the way they voted. You know what,
I always kill their argument this way because I always
get attacked about, oh, you know, these poor people are
coming across. I get that we need immigrants to come.
(14:15):
We do, but there's a process. So all those poor
people that are constantly attacking and saying.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
You know, this is awful. I always shut them down
with this. I tell them on social.
Speaker 7 (14:24):
Media pasture address, pasture address, take your address public, right
and and anytime that people come across legally tell them, hey,
you can come stay at my home, right right. You
shut down the argument company pretty quick again.
Speaker 9 (14:39):
We're talking with our Del Cuado National Voter Patrol Council
President Biden. Today the government came out and said, hey,
we're going to streamline this app that we've got that's
allowing people to come in, and we're actually gonna let
people go ahead and skip those those court cases you
were talking about.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
We'll just let them check in by a phone.
Speaker 9 (14:57):
I guess there's there's one argument that if they do that,
we I know where they are based on the phone.
But well, could be the purpose behind making this even
easier knowing and it's not even going to take effect
until next month, so it's going to be less than
thirty days before Trump gets in there and basically puts
an executive order and ends that app all together.
Speaker 1 (15:14):
What's the purpose behind that? Do you think? Again?
Speaker 8 (15:17):
It's hatred towards the individual that's taking over.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
That's what it comes down to. And when he puts
the stuff to it, they're going to turn around and
they're going to say, look, she doesn't care about immigrants.
It's in humane.
Speaker 7 (15:28):
We had a system that would work, don't We know
it's not going to work, right, But they're going to
use that as an excuse and say, we came up
with something that will work and he shut it down.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
That's the only reason they're.
Speaker 8 (15:38):
So determined to hand over the biggest dumpster flier of
an administration to President Trump.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
That way, as I said.
Speaker 7 (15:45):
Earlier, it's going to take a lot more to clean
up than we originally planned.
Speaker 9 (15:49):
Yeah, it's pretty sad. You and I've talked before. My
dad lives on the border. He talks to a lot
of border patrol agents. He lives in the sector that
you actually work as well. What is the morale of
your guys and house that are so heroically they've over
the last four years been fighting a losing battle. But
what's them around now that it looks like some changes coming.
Speaker 7 (16:09):
Look, the Morels obviously gotten much better. They see light
at the end of the of the tunnel. There's some hope,
you know. I mean, you know, for four years we had,
you know, the issue with the Great administration, just everyone,
come one, come on, I sell.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Them, get released.
Speaker 7 (16:22):
And then the election cycle was coming through and people
were nervous.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
They were like, what's gonna happen? What's not going to happen.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
But now that the results have come out and we
have a commander in chief that's actually caring about America,
I think that's what it comes out. We know it's
still you know, over a month away, however, they're sitting
there going but.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
We have hope. We didn't have hope before.
Speaker 7 (16:43):
Now we do.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Makes sense. Listen, Thank you so much for what you do.
Speaker 9 (16:45):
Our del Cuato, vice President, National Border Patrol Council. You
guys are brave. You guys are courageous. You guys are
great humanitarians. I've seen what you do with people coming
across the border that are just on their last leg
when it comes to nutrition and health and hydration, and
you guys take care of those folks. And I know
that'll continue because you know, nobody wants to nobody wants
harm to come to anybody here. We just want secure borders.
(17:08):
Thanks so much for what you do and for your patriotism.
Speaker 7 (17:10):
Thank you so much for having me enjoy your listeners.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Stay safe and God bless.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
All right you too.
Speaker 9 (17:16):
Great stuff there from Leland Conway. You can hear him
later today on my program That's Ryan Schuling Live, airing
two to four pm weekdays, Mountain time Zone on six
point thirty k how you can catch the podcast as well,
and Leland's schedule to appear at the two thirty three
block talking about that conversation with Art del Quato, the
vice president of the National Border Patrol Council. You can
(17:38):
hear it in his voice, just the spring and his step,
the hope that he kept referring to there for our
border patrol agents who have been browbeaten into submission by
a Biden administration that's doing everything they can to stand
in the way of those that are border trying to
do their jobs, creating obstructions to that process intentionally the
(17:58):
likes of Alejandros, who is the biggest fraud in the
Biden administration, in the cabinet, and that is putting a
lot of unqualified people up against him. Still, may Orcus
has done so much damage to this country, and a
lot of it has to do with what Art del
Cuato just said, which is that their hatred for Trump
(18:20):
and the Biden administration, with J. D. Pritzker, Jared Polis,
Gavin Newsom, the Democrat governors who are vowing to obstruct
Mara Healey in Massachusetts being another one. That every idea
Donald Trump had because he is inherently evil in an
existential threat to democracy. In Orange Hitler, every idea Trump
had was wrong. Therefore they pulled a Seinfeldt. The opposite
(18:44):
must be correct, except they were exactly wrong about that.
Specifically when it comes to the border and the end
of catch and release and the institution of the remain
in Mexico policy and the strong arming of the Mexican
leadership and government to say you're going to go along
and help us with your military enforce. Remain in Mexico
(19:05):
or else tariffs are coming your way. President Trump is
back and he's bringing all those policies back with him.
Speaker 11 (19:16):
Chicle doesn't always get it right on his show, but
he always gets it right when he hears you Ryan
for a guest host. And we all know that without Dragon,
Michael wouldn't have the successful show he does. So love
to you.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
Both, and I wish you and all my fellow Cooper's
a great happy Thanksgiving, make those special memories and hold
your loved ones clothes. God bless you and God bless America.
Speaker 9 (19:44):
What a very sweet talk back. Thank you so much
for that. You can send your own. That's the red
microphone icon the bottom of the iHeart app take it
about thirty seconds or shorter. Brevity is the soul of
Wit and Jesse Thomas Will those We do have the
B team in today, the not ready for primetime players
always happy to join you around these holidays and make
(20:07):
these holidays a little bit more festive. That's always my
goal We'll be doing a lot of that tomorrow. But
thank you very much to the talkbacker there. And yeah,
we have a lot of fun at Michael's expense. Dragon
does a lot to help him behind the scenes and
even on the scene that you hear over the air.
You know, four hours, that's a lot every single morning
(20:28):
for a solo host to handle.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
And Mick Brown has all kinds of stories he can
tap into.
Speaker 9 (20:33):
And of course you got the weekend with Michael Brown
as well. Just trying to work as a team here
and pull in the same direction again. Our thanks to
John Caldera for filling in yesterday. I'll be with you
today and tomorrow along with Jesse. Then we're going into
our Thanksgiving holiday. And finally, instead of apologizing to America,
to Colorado, to Denver for the Lions playing on Thanksgiving
(20:56):
Day for all those years when they were terrible, except
maybe with the Barry Sanders, you got some fun there, America.
You're welcome that you could to share in the Detroit
Lions experience on this Thanksgiving Day.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
It's kind of cool.
Speaker 9 (21:09):
It starts early here in the Mountain time zone, ites
that ten thirty am kickoff against the Chicago Bears. But
just real briefly, Jesse, your thoughts on my Detroit.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Lions and probably the most exciting team in football right now.
I mean they totally represent their city. I mean, they
were so bad for so long. They had the perfect
head coach and the most explosive, entertaining offense in the
entire NFL. So I'm looking forward to watching them as well,
and for years, for the last eight years or so,
(21:40):
I remember, I was kind of like you, they like,
I'm glad the Broncos don't play because they used to
ruin my holidays when they did.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Occasionally they're on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 9 (21:50):
Because what happened over the years, just to give a
brief history on it, the Lions founded the Thanksgiving Day game.
And this goes back to like the nineteen thirties, I
want to say, the nineteen thirty five, and then in
the early sixties, the Dallas Cowboys started copying them, so
the Cowboys would play the late game, the Lions the
early game. Well, the NFL realized, you know, there's money
to be made with this Thanksgiving Day game, and they
(22:12):
now flex in a night time game.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
There was a move there for a while.
Speaker 9 (22:15):
To take the Thanksgiving Day game away from the Lions
and the Cowboys, and of course both those franchises push
back very hard against that, and they ended up winning
with Roger Goodell and the NFL Commissioner's office there. But
now you know, all these other teams rotate in Broncos
are having a good season. Looks like they're in pretty
good shape to at least make the playoffs, and that
would be a big step in the right direction. A
(22:37):
lot of excitement about bo Nicks, you bet, And so
I'm looking forward to that. And I mean, the only
question I have left is are the Detroit Lions better
than the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (22:47):
They're gonna have to worry about the Eagles too. I
think Eagles, yep. But yeah, it looks like Chiefs and
the Lions could be on a collision course for the
Super Bowl down in Vegas.
Speaker 9 (22:56):
What I know about that scenario is every single here
in Denver and Colorado.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Would be rooting for the Lions against the Chiefs and
that year. You're not lying, you see what I did there? Also, Yeah, also.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
I'd be very curious just to see I want, I
need to see all those Lions fans down in Vegas.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
For the Super Bowl. It would be epic. They'll take
it over, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (23:17):
Yeah, you watch them at any venue, and so far
this year it's literally been like a traveling Salvation show
with Neil Diamond singing along. Whether it's an Arizona or
Indianapolis was a hop, skip and a jump. That place
turned into Detroit Southwest. Anywhere they go, the Lions fans
show up in droves.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
It happened.
Speaker 9 (23:37):
I went last year to visit my buddy Hutch in Tampa.
They played at the Buccaneers, and I'm telling you half
that stadium was Honolulu Blue and Silver Lions fans.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
There's a lot of them that lived down there.
Speaker 9 (23:48):
They went down ice seventy five the Snowbirds that stayed,
So that wasn't entirely unexpected, but a lot of excitement
this year, and I'm very much looking forward to that
Thanksgiving Day and matchup.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
You know what I'll miss tomorrow though, quick and he's
been about a long time, but remember when Madden used
to break out the six legged, the six drumstick turkey,
the turdah John.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
That was the best. I missed that.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
And he's just rip into it with his hands and
then he'd give the player of the game one of
those six drumsticks.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
Is so good. I love it when he would like
diagram it on the telestrape. Yeah, so you've got adu.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Here, a leg here, a leg here, a leg here,
you had another leg over here.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah, it's so good. They're going to continue that tradition.
Speaker 9 (24:26):
But you're right, it's not the same without John Madden
participating in that. So every year on this time we
think about him as well, and the football that brings
us together, you know, and just a great kind of
sampler platter before the main meal. Literally speaking for those
of us here in the Mountain time zone. I got
a text here from Alexa. High Alex, I hope you're
feeling better. I know she's in recovery from surgery after
(24:48):
a fall. We wish her the very best. All of
our prayers and our thoughts are with her. And she says, Ryan,
I still miss Leland. Three exclamation points. I do two, Alexa,
but I would add a fourth exclamation point. Also, you're
going to get a whole lot of Leland like you
just had in the previous segment that interview, and I
invite you to listen back to it if you're just
(25:09):
joining right now. I know a lot of you might
be in transit to work or even starting your vacation
a little bit early. But just a really interesting interview
with Art del Queto, the vice president of the National
Border Patrol Council, that Leland conducted and we gave that
a full listen in the previous segments, so you can
tap back into that in the podcast if you'd like.
And then coming up later today two thirty three pm,
(25:31):
back in his old stomping grounds, Leland Conway will join
me live to reflect on that conversation and to preview
his upcoming appearance filling in for Joe PAGs. So you'll
hear Leland right here on six point thirty k how
he was filling in last night. He'll do it again tonight,
and he'll be on a third night tomorrow filling in
for Joe PAGs and in this market that airs from
(25:53):
six pm to nine pm here in the Mountain time zone.
And I was just texting back and forth with him.
If you'd like more Leland Conway in your life, and
who doesn't. You can hear him on San Diego's six
hundred COGO News Radio as one of the co hosts
of Conway and Larsen, and that airs weeknights from seven
(26:14):
to nine pm. Here so you can listen to all
of our daytime programming on six thirty k how from
the early morning of Michael Brown to Tom Martino in
the mid days to yours truly in the early afternoon
hours on Ryan Schuling Live two to four pm. Always
a cheap plug when I can get one, and Dan
Kaplis from four to six pm, and then still have
(26:34):
time to fit in Leland Conway on Conway and Larson again.
That's from seven to nine pm weekdays in the Mountain
time zone. Just find six hundred cog kogo on the
iHeart app and you can listen to Leland and still
bring him along.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
He comes on from time to time.
Speaker 9 (26:49):
He has a cameo like Larry from Three's Company and
wants to go to Regal Bigel, who stops in on
the show from time to time between two and four
and it's always a neat treat when we get him
in there to do just that. Well, take this time out,
we'll come back. I want to revisit some of this
audio with Tom Holman. I just what a home run
higher this is going to be for President elect Donald
(27:12):
Trump in charge of the border, embracing the title of
borders Are. That was always the thing too. If Kamala
Harris had been a success in stemming the tide of
illegal immigrants flooding to the border from the Triangle countries
or wherever else, she would have cloaked herself in the
name and title Borders are and said look what I did,
(27:35):
Look at the great work we accomplished.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
No, she was a total failure.
Speaker 9 (27:41):
So she ran and hid from that title far and fast,
and the media provided cover.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
Oh she wasn't actually the borders are? Well, why not?
She was appointed in that role. I can dig up
the audio.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
I have it.
Speaker 9 (27:53):
There was a press conference with Joe Biden announced all
of that, appointed her to that role, put her in charge,
and she was an un mitigated disaster because she didn't
do any of the work. This was a theme throughout
her entire Vice presidency and really her political career.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
She doesn't like doing the work.
Speaker 9 (28:08):
She doesn't like being burdened with homework or preparatory materials.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
She doesn't want to be burdened.
Speaker 9 (28:14):
She wants to be unburdened by what has been with
all the prep that her staff was offering her. That's
why her office had like ninety three percent turnover, because
they're like, this woman doesn't take her job seriously, and
why should she. She is a DEI hire Peter principal
example of failing upwards, starting at a point where come on,
(28:34):
let's call it what it is. The only reason she's
even a public figure and entered into public life and
political service is because she was the mistress of one
Willie Brown. That was her start into politics. She was
on the arm of Montel Williams at one point behind.
She was never a serious person, is my point. Not
(28:55):
even trying to be mean here, These are just the facts.
A time out, we're back more of your tech. I
want to get to a lot of those. You can
send those along thirty three one to oh three the
situation without Michael Brown, Ryan Sholing filling in.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
We're back to wrap up our number two.
Speaker 6 (29:22):
Tom, you heard this mayor out there in Colorado. I
want to get your reaction to it, and I want
you to be clear about who is jurisdiction, the federal
government or state and local governments. And if you're a
sanctuary state or city, are you breaking the law.
Speaker 10 (29:37):
Yeah, absolutely breaking law.
Speaker 1 (29:38):
Oh yes to do.
Speaker 10 (29:38):
Look at Arizona versus us USC's breaking the law. Well, look,
me and the Denver mayor, we agree on one thing.
He's willing to go to jail. I'm willing to put
him in jail because there's a statue. It's Title eight
in the United States called thirteen twenty four Triple I,
And what it says is is the felony if you're
knowingly harbor and concealed and from immigration authorities is also
(30:00):
family to impede federal enforcement officer. So if we don't
want to help, that's fine, he can get the hell
all the way. But we're going to go do the job.
President Trump has a mandate for American people. We got
to secure this country, we got to save American lives.
And I find a shocking any mayor of a city
would say the President trusts be clear, we want to
concentrate on public safety threats and national security threats. I
find it hard to be either any mayor or government
(30:21):
would say they don't want public safety thrusts remove from
their neighborhoods. I mean, I mean, I don't know what
the hell is going on in Denver, but we're gonna
go and we're gonna fix it. If we don't want
to fix it, if we don't want to protect his communities,
President Trump and Ice.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Will love Tom Holman. He's exactly right there.
Speaker 9 (30:36):
And even if you look at this strictly from a
left bring logical rational standpoint, what plays in Peoria, what
plays in Aurora? What plays in Colorado? Again a safely
blue state. In Denver certainly a safely blue city. However,
the American voters did just deliver a mandate, a popular
(30:56):
vote victory, an electoral vote landslide for Donald Trump, but
the Republicans largely on this issue. Gabe Evans won the
eighth Congressional district, which is a total toss up over
a sitting incumbent Democratic representative who tried to sprint toward
the middle, tried to flee from Joe Biden and the
(31:19):
border policies. There featured ads saying I sided with Republicans
on this issue. Was in a debate telling Kyle Clark,
Comrade Kyle that she's going to vote how the voters
wanted to vote, not how she really feels.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
What is that all about?
Speaker 11 (31:34):
Now?
Speaker 9 (31:35):
I'd rather vote for the guy gave Evans who actually
feels how I feel on this issue and therefore will
fight for how we feel on this issue. So that
should have been a harbinger, that should have been a
turning point, that should have been an indicator and a
red flag unintended for Mike Johnston, because not only did
(31:58):
CBS News do.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
Pulling, the shocked them.
Speaker 9 (32:00):
And I remember when Nora O'Donnell reported this, and she'll
be leaving CBS Evening News very shortly, thank goodness, but
I'm not sure that her replacement's gonna be any better.
It's gonna be Margaret Brennan. Oh no. But it showed
sixty two percent of Americans favored Trump's mass deportation plan,
which includes the abuela, the grandmothers that the Democrats were
(32:24):
cling deport grandmother. Why was she here illegally? I'm sorry,
but there was a right way to come here, and
if she didn't do it, them's the breaks. Nobody has
a right to be in this country who wasn't born
in this country. And yeah, that might seem unfair and
might sound unfair, but not everybody gets to be an American.
(32:45):
We have a whole world out there, and we were
lucky we won the lottery, as Dan Kapla says, in
being born in America, nobody knows that better than me.
I'm a first generation American on my mom's side. I'm
extremely proud of that. I'm humbled by that. And my
mom came here at the age of two, her parents
(33:05):
fleeing a communist dictatorship in Yugoslavia, granted asylum by President
Harry Truman.
Speaker 1 (33:10):
There was a process, they went through it.
Speaker 9 (33:12):
They learned English, they became American citizens, They embraced our culture,
they assimilated, they contributed to our economy, They worked very hard.
They did all the things that any immigrant should do.
Who comes here who doesn't take that privilege for granted,
and no one should come to this country with their
(33:34):
handout to say I came from a blank hole country.
Give me all the free stuff. I'm not going to
give you anything in return. Those are the people Mike
Johnston wants to protect. I don't If that makes me
an a hole, so be it. You come here with
a compact and a contract with the American government and
(33:54):
the American people to say I want to be an
American and I'm going to bust my ass and do
everything I can to hold up my end of the accord,
to hold up my end of the bargain. And yeah,
you owe us a debt when you come here. You
absolutely do to come here to work hard, to follow
our laws, beginning with our immigration policy and laws beginning
(34:15):
with our border laws. Because if they break those laws,
look what happens. Look what happened in jeff coo in
illegal Venezuelan comes to this country, disregards our laws at
the border and takes it upon himself to force himself
on a fourteen year old daughter of his employer while living.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
In the same hole. What maniac does that?
Speaker 9 (34:37):
Well, somebody that doesn't have any respect for our laws,
our culture, our customs. That's why this is happening. And
that's not an isolated incident, not remotely. Lacoln Riley, Rachel Morin,
Joscelyn Nungary, and now this fourteen year old in Jefferson
County and the fact that Mayor Mike Johnston wants to
(35:00):
protect such people should be an affront to everybody in Denver,
no matter where you lie politically. And I'm going to
tell you this, north of the sixty two percent number
that we saw from CBS News in that poll some
time ago. That was several months ago. Now with President
Trump having won convincingly and people are accepting that, people
even on the center left at least are accepting that.
(35:23):
It is upwards of seventy five percent now who favor
the Trump transition and the deportation plan for illegals in
this country.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
So Mike Johnson can chew on that. I don't know
that this.
Speaker 9 (35:36):
Is going to benefit him politically at all, even if
that is the calculation with our far left lunatic voters
in Denver and Colorado on the whole. Does this help
him get a leg up in the governor's race against
Phil Wiser? Yeah, I'm looking at it that cynically because
there's no other explanation for it. I think this tanks
his potential candidacy for Governor Phil Wiser. Though, like I
(35:59):
told Dan yesterday, he is singing of the same hymnal
We're gonna protect every single illegal endeavor. Why why would
you protect a gang member of Trendy Aragua in Aurora
who helped personally evict Cindy and ed Romero from their
residents and took over the apartment complex.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Why is that acceptable?
Speaker 9 (36:16):
Why won't you compromise any ground on that issue and
go along with the Trump administration Tom Holman ice and
deport criminal illegal aliens. Why are they fighting tooth and
nail even against that. The only explanation goes back to
something that Leland got in his interview there that we
heard with Art del Quato, which is, if Trump supports
(36:37):
it and must be bad, so we must oppose it. No,
that doesn't make you right, that makes you stupid. Take
this time out. We'll come back our three straight ahead.
Still a lot to get to, a lot of bases
to cover. We'll do our best to do just that.
With Jesse Thomas, I'm Ryan shuling on the situation.
