prime scene tape surrounds an East OaklandStreet tonight, following reports from multiple witnesses
of a deadly shooting. Neighbors tellingKTV they heard multiple gun shots. This

all comes in the wake of adeadly weekend in Oakland, where three teenagers
were shot and killed in just thepast twenty four hours. Good evening.
I'm Julie Hayner and I'm Alex Savage. Police are still at that scene tonight
in East Oakland. This shooting happenedjust before six o'clock tonight near the intersection
of ninety eighth Avenue and Burr Street. Let's get straight out to KTV Zach

Sauce, who's joining us now livefrom that scene with the latest development.
Zach, what are we learning?Well, as you mentioned, an active
investigation still underway here. So farpolice have yet to release any information,
but from what witnesses tell us,this appears to possibly have been a home
robbery gone wrong. You can seepolice still have the street where this all

apparently happened taped off. According tothat witness, a homeowner apparently shooting and
killing a suspect involved in that robbery. Now, we did see the coroner's
office arrive here earlier this evening,the body of that apparent suspect shielded from
view. A witness telling me itwas around six this evening that he saw

three people pull up in a whiteinfinity, which you can see here in
the video. A man in thecar apparently hopping the homeowner's gate, and
that is when the witness tells mehe heard two gunshots ring out. He
says he called police, and thenmoments later he says he saw the same
man, the apparent suspect, fallto the ground in front of that home.
The homeowner standing nearby, armed aspectsin the Infinity apparently took off on

foot, police arriving just minutes later. I spoke with two neighbors who heard
those gunshots from the block. Theyasked for their faces not to appear on
camera. Heard it happen, andI was like, dang, yeah,
you don't want anything to happen toyou. So you've really kind of seen
your house and kind of wait tillit is over. Then I saw the
police and I was like, yeah, I do it just the other day.

So I stole a car, Ileft it right in front of our
driveways. Were so again, Soagain, one person apparently dead from gunshot
wounds and according to witness accounts,involved in an apparent home robbery. Again,
we had reached out to police,and we'll update you when we hear

I know that you spoke to thewoman who was inside and fired those
shots. Susan, I spoke witha woman who lives inside of this house
off camera. She told me thisman busted through this window and crawled into

her basement. She says she didn'thear the glass shatter, but she heard
him kind of rustling around in herbasement, and that's when she took action.
Around five am on Tenth Avenue inBeaver Falls, my friend had called
me and asked me what was goingon on my block? A woman shot

and killed a man who broke intoher home. She went down into the
basement to see what was going on, opened the door to her basement,
and there was an individual standing therewho she did not know. Beaver County
DA Made Bible says she legally ownedthe gun and had every right to protect
herself and her house. Thankfully shehad a firearm in the house. We

don't know what was going through theintruder's mind, whether he was there potentially
just to rob her or harm herin other ways. She shot the intruder
three times. I can't imagine,you know what she's going through right now.
I mean, she obviously she wasprotecting herself, but nonetheless, I'm
sure it weighs on you to haveto pull the trigger and, you know,

take someone else's life. Now atthis time, the man who broke
through this window and was shot andkilled. Name of this man has not
yet been released. Investigators say theydon't think he's from the beaver Falls area.

Mike Shirley says Tenant officers arrived outof business near East Lufkin Avenue and Rich
Street. After arriving at the scene, he says officers found the suspect,

who was still insane, was onthe ground. Lieutenant Shirley says the business
owner left his truck running as hestepped out to attach a trailer, leaving
his wife and four month old daughterinside the vehicle. Moments later, forty
seven year old Jarvis Houston was seenwalking down the street when he approached the
truck, attempting to drive away withit. The business owner. He confronted

the suspect even offered to let himtake a different vehicle since his wife and
child were in that vehicle and subjectpersisted and wanting to take that vehicle,
Officials discovered Houston was released just anhour before from the Angelina County Jail on
charges of assault and family violence.Shirley says both men got into a physical

fight after the owner grabbed a ninemillimeter handgun from his truck. Struggle continued
and the subject was eventually shot.Houston was taken to a nearby hospital and
was pronounced dead at nine to seventeen. Shirley explains the security surveillance matched the
owner's statement leading up to the shooting, and no charges are filed against him.
Police say it was self defense savedhis life and the lives of his

life and child possibly so. However, Shirley says the case remains under investigation
and must be presented to the AngelinaCounty District Attorney for review. To be
able to be justified in using deadlyforces, they have to be in fear

disturbing body camera video of this incidentat the end of last week, and
the corner is now saying that theteen that was killed is seventeen year old
Brandon Marriquin. According to police,just before the shooting, they approached Marriquin
to question him about the murder ofd Martinez, but when Merriquin pulled out
a gun, the same gun thatwas used to kill Martinez. In fact,

they tackled him to the ground.He then fired his weapon and LMPD
detective Benjamin Derby fired back, strikinghim once in the head. That was
on May fourteenth. Marriquin would diethree days later at the hospital. The
detective that shot him remains unpaid administrativeleave, penning the results of the ongoing

robbed at a gas station Tuesday morning, and that's what set off this chain
of events all over the east sideof Indiana. The woman tells me she
stopped at this gas station just northof I seventy on Post Road on the
way to work about eight thirty Tuesdaymorning. She's too scared and traumatized by
the carjacking to speak on camera.The victim tells me she had just finished

getting gas at this closest pop whena suspect from a car at another pup
pointed a gun at her and toldher give me everything before I shoot you.
She says. The man with thegun made her change the password on
her iPhone, then stole it andher white Dodge charger. The other suspects
followed in the gray sedan. Policesay an officer in a mark vehicle located

both cars in an apartment complex abouta mile away. Police say the officer
ordered a suspect to get on theground and drop the gun, but the
suspect ran toward the gray sedan.Police said the suspect dropped something and went
to grab it, and that's whenthe officer first fired his gun. Police
said. The sedan allegedly drove offwhile the suspect kept running away. Police

say the officer fired his gun twomore times before the suspect fell to the
ground. Police say they found twoguns near twenty year old Jarrett Gray Junior,
who died from gunshot wounds. Wedon't want things to end this way,
We really don't. We also don'twant people to carjacked. We don't
want people innocent, people who arejust going about their day with a gun

stuck in their face and their thingstaken. Police located the Gray Sadan near
this apartment complex on short Ridge Road. Investigator say more suspects in the carjacking
left in two vehicles. Police conductedtraffic stops not far away. A twenty
year old man was arrested on TenthStreet for armed robbery. On Shadlan Avenue,
a twenty year old was arrested forpossession of a machine gun, and

a seventeen year old form marijuana possession. Tuesday's incidents mapped out here across the
East Side in Indianapolis, Rich Nightthirteen News. Rich also asked the gas
station to see a copy of thevideo of the carjacking that they told us
that they could not help us withthat. Metro Police don't set a timetable
for the release of their body worncamera video for officer involves shootings. Good

boarded up windows show it was inthis area where gunfire injured five and killed
one, including twenty four year oldJakwan Robinson. Now The Westport Entertainment District
says at this time they are gratefulfor the measures that the public safety officers

they were as soon as it happened. The sound of gunshots, screams,
and sirens terrified Ellie Preston and herfriends as they were trying to enjoy a

killed, twenty four year old JakwanRobinson, was firing shots when Westport public
safety officers arrived, who fired shotsback, killing Robinson. That public safety
officer was taken into custody Sunday andis now out as police continue to investigate.
The Westport Entertainment District released a statementsaying, in part quote, the

active shooter was unresponsive at the sceneand later died. Unfortunately, shootings can
happen anywhere, yet we are fortunateto have officers trained to respond and address

some point now just down the street. The Westport Entertainment District says electronic security
measures were in place Saturday until itbegan to rain, but patrons were still

the moments leading up to police shootingand killing a man with a gun in
Perrysburg Township. Investigators released the bodycamvideo and explain what happened Thursday night.

We've learned that the men shout andkilled was one Bo Perdy, a
twenty three year old out of Toledowho had a previous record of firing a
weapon while intoxicated. Township Chief MattGazaraq says on Thursday night again he was
intoxicated and armed in dangerous now.His department first encountered Purty when he called

them on Thursday night in a nineto one one call. Chief Gazaraq showed
us the call and Party can beheard shouting that he thinks people are trying
to kill him and that he hasa weapon. Four officers arrived to the
site of the call on Tracy Road, and in their bodycam video they can
be seen taking covert from the soundsof gunshots as soon as they arrive on
scene. Party was dug in atthe bottom of a ditch, and Chief
Gazarax says it's unclear if he wasjust shooting at the officers are also at

passing traffic. The township officers workedto control the scene, trying to shut
off traffic so no more cars passedby Purty's location, and finally Party fires
at the officers again, and thistime one Sergeant Ross Wheatley returns fire with
his service rifle, killing Purty.Chief Gazarax says his small department doesn't normally
encounter situations like this one, buthis officer's owed no signs that they were

presented with at the time, atthe time of the evening, the situation
that they had, the lack oflighting, I think that they all,

Gazarack says at this time it's unclearparty was under the influence of alcohol or

in this situation. We start withsome breaking news out of the Austin neighborhood
this morning. One man is deadand another is in critical condition after a
shooting involved in Chicago police. Let'sget right to CBS two's Mugu Dguey,

who is live at Georgia Hospital whereone of the people's shot is being treated.
We'll go what have you learned aboutthis case? Oh? I told
police officers were on routine patrol justafter eleven last night when they came across
a man trying to stab another man. Take a look at this video on
your screen. This is moments afterthe shooting involved in Chicago police. You
can see the heavy police presence outthere. This is on Cicero Avenue in

the Austin neighborhood. Again, we'retold officers were in patrol when they noticed
a man trying to stab another manin the streets. They say the officers
first try to de escalate and askthe man to drop the weapon. But
the man continued the attack, andthat is when officers open. I can
just picture my head see the copscome upon, you know, a guy

stabbing another guy. Hey, couldyou stop? Hey, put that knife
down? Stab stab stab stab.Well, I guess we all get to
taser out. Let us do somethingelse. Binfire hitting the man. He
later died at the hospital. Butduring that shooting, the other man,
the man who was being stabbed,was also shot. We're told he's now
here at shrojur Hospital and critical condition. We're also told two officers were taken

to the hospital for observation and atthis time, the Civilian Office of Police
Accountability is now investigating the shooting andthe officers involved in the shooting. They'll
be placed on administrative duties for thirtydays, which is by the way,
customary during any shooting involving the ChicagoPolice. Rolin at Schrodior Hospital, the
Goodbay CBS students, I'm looking fora story where they announced at the end

that the officers have been placed onthe administrative leave. You never hear that.
If I could just hear that onetime, then I'd feel like my
life is complete. Let's see onceagain, you shoot at a cop only
BTV newsroom, we've earned the nameof the man shot and killed by police
during a dangerous shootout in Kataba County. All this unfolded late overnight at two

different locations. Map those that foryou here. The first happened outside of
the Kataba County Government Center. Policein Newton say a woman was in the
parking lot sometime after twelve thirty.That same woman was found just a few
minutes down the road at a PlanetFitness on Northwest Boulevard. Police and medics
eventually found the woman. They beganproviding medical care. While doing so,

the alleged gunman from the first incidentat the Government Center, thirty three year
old Jamar Franklin, drove into thePlanet Fitness parking lot and started shooting.
Officers quickly returned fire, hitting Franklin. Cruz took Franklin and the woman to
the hospital. Franklin died from hisinjuries. The woman is currently in stable
condition. Police save the pair knewone another, and in a statement,

Newton Police Chief Fidal Sipe says itis unfortunate that officers had to take a
life in order to save several lives, adding domestic violence continues to be a
serious matter and needs to be addressedimmediately. Now, the officers involved in
the shooting have been placed on administrativeleave pending an investigation by the North Carolina
SBI. That is standard procedure anytimean officer is involved in the shooting.

Well, there fully go it.After caser fails, five cops, five
cops give them boat. We nowknow that five officers shot at the man,
identified as thirty five year old NoelHernandez. Police say this all started
after multiple nine to one one callersreported a man with a weapon was stopping

traffic and knocking on car doors.NBC Forest and a Hoffman just spoke with
Columbus police. She is here nowto walk us through these videos. Anna,
jenn and Jared. I do wantto warn everyone this video could be
hard for some to watch. First, we listened to at least five nine
one one callers alert police of aSpanish speaking man threatening drivers. Then we

watched as it turned into a pursuit. In the body camera video, you
can see the suspect, Noel Hernandez, holding a weapon. Police called it
homemade. Columbus police officers first camein contact with Noel Hernandez on Georgesville Road
north of Climb Road around eleven twentyfive Monday night. Officers say they see

him holding what they call an edgedweapon. You can hear police tell him
to put his hands up in Englishand Spanish. Hernandez then gets in his
car and drives away. The dashcamera video shows police try to stop him.
He gets out of the car withthe weapon, then gets back in
and keeps driving. Police say thishappened several times. Hernandez gets out of

the car again at the intersection ofSullivan Avenue and Industrial Mile. Five officers
follow and surround him. Officers areyelling manas arriba, which again means hands
up in Spanish. Police say,Hernandez approaches them. You can see as
the officers try to deploy their tasertwice. It does not work. This

is when police say Hernandez advances atthem again. You can see him holding
his weapon in the air. Weare going to stop the video here.
All five officers shoot at Hernandez.We heard at least thirteen rounds. Officers
now run back to their cruisers toget a medical kit and render aid until
medics arrives. But when an officerresponds to a scene. An officer is

locked in on the imminent threat thatthey're dealing with, the threat to themselves
or a threat to anyone else.So what I can tell you is that
they responded based on what they sawat that time from their view. Police
Chief Lame Bryant told us after wewatched this video. Different officers have been
called to do a wellness check onHernandez hours before this shooting. She says

a neighbor had made this original calland at the tech Hernandez said he was
okay and just tired. We askedwhy this had not been handled as a

after this shooting. Our joy soGary live in Vancouver with the latest,
and there's still an active seen outhere. Vancouver Police are continuing to collect
evidence. They tell us that noneof the officers were hurt. We spoke
to witnesses who describe how the situationescalated. This other guy was walking the

office a way I was going,and I happened to look back. I
saw the dog nip the guy.Vancouver police were called about a man with
a gun who had an aggressive Germanshepherd. Police say the dog was running
loose and bid at least one personon Southeast Columbia Way this afternoon. Then
a short time later, police spottedthe man and saw the dog try to
bite another person. Police say,as two officers approach the man, they

say he pointed what appeared to bea firearm at one of the officers.
Then an officer shot the man.The cops came out of their car,
immediately pulled their guns and within secondsI heard pop, pop, pop,
three shots. Officers gave them manmedical attention, but he was pronounced dead
at the scene. We spoke towitnesses who saw the aftermath of the deadly
shooting. So I heard cop sirensand my wife and I were enjoying pride

and we came around the corner onColumbia and we saw a man down.
We saw three other people in frontof us, a man screaming, and
the guy was on the ground,completely down, and then a bunch of
other cars. The cop cars camein after that, and not a lot
of them. I mean, gosh, I don't know how they are,

like twenty cop cars. Investigators saythe German shepherds stayed aggressive. A witness
tells US police try to gain controlof the dog, and then there were
more pops, more shots towards thedog because they were trying to trying to
get the dog to not come.And then they finally got control of the
dog, pulled him aside. Policetied the dog to a dumpster. Then

the Humane Society took the dog away. One person is being treated for dog
bites. It's just quite disturbing.And two Vancouver Police officers were placed on
