The dude come out of the hole and said, we
were gonna get more winner, right, that's.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
What he said.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Punk Satani Phil punks the punk rock, the punk rock Groundhog.
Punk Satani Phil comes out with a little mohawk, And.

Speaker 5 (00:48):
No, he didn't say that Tony is a city in Pennsylvania.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Why.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
He said, we're gonna get more winter and it's gonna
be cold this weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
So he was right.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
So kudos to you, mister punkstani Phil, coming off of
like the coldest weekend we've ever had in the history
of time.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
I went to Disney on Sunday, you.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Fool who Actually I love it when it's cold at Disney.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah, but that was like going to Disney if it
was all shoved into.

Speaker 6 (01:21):
A walk in and they were dealing with several issues
because of the cold.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
What what issues were they dealing with?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Mowana Journey Journey to Water closed.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Frozy's it turned actually turned into the Frozen Ride. No.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
No, they had a lot of pumbing issues because of
because of pipes.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Yeah, Like I I went walking by at one point
and there were two water fountains in between France and
Morocco that were just like a fountain.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Like just they shooting shooting water up.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
And then I saw a video or not a video,
a picture of the globe out in front of your
Universal Studios Orlando, mm hmm, and there were icicles hanging
from the globe sprinklers. Sure, yes, yes, because there's always
there's always myss.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
But remember it was twenty something degrees Sunday morning.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
That miss will freeze you, right, you're not wrong about that.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
When I was there on Friday, I mean I saw
all the plants wrapped. It took me a minute. I'm like,
what are all those silver things on the ground, And
I'm like, oh uh, they're covering it for the frost
it's coming tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
No, No, you were like, oh look, free blankets.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Was laying here. I was.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Actually I would have liked to have seen at pot
like on Monday to see how things survived, because they
did a great job of covering everything. I just don't
know if covering it was going to be enough for
this one. It was so cold.

Speaker 6 (02:56):
Well, my favorite thing is like I was there, I
saw like when I was there, I got to see
all like a bunch of the characters in their winter
versions of costumes. Okay, so it's a little bit warmer
of of a dress for Bell and Aurora.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Yeah, there's still freezing out there. The po them poor things.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yes, but it's a little it's a little easier for them.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Yeah, yeah, because it is. Boy, it was cold. It
was cold this weekend. Like I went on Friday. Actually,
Friday was perfect. Friday could not have been like it
might have been the best theme park weather available.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, so you went to a theme park on Friday.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I did.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
I did with my with my coworkers. It was a
a work thing. We were supposed to do in December,
but we had a very busy December, so we made
it January.

Speaker 6 (03:44):
And you correct me if I'm wrong, are a host
of a theme park podcast?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
I mean technically you are.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
You are the first live voice that the audience.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Hears, unfortunately for them. Yes that is true.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
You are also the last live voice the audience hears.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Again unfortunately for them, but yes true.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
And you recently suffered a head injury.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
I've suffered many head injury.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Were you the tour guide of said.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Group, no, I would just continually get lost. I'd be like,
I think it's this way. Nope, turn around, it's the
other way. Sorry, guys, I don't know where test Track is.
I'm not sure where sore it is. At least I
have the North Star, that is the giant ball in
the center of the park to at least find my
way to the exit at the end of the night.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Abcott is the easiest theme park in the history of
theme parks to navigate.

Speaker 6 (04:38):
It's a circle. Well yes, and also also the three
rides that you just named.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Have not moved.

Speaker 4 (04:52):
Well, I'll tell you this, babe, you get me, if
you get me to the countries, I know where things
are that area outside the Countries there very vexing to me.
It's all very confusing. Where's Test Track versus where is
swordin and the Nemo Rock?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
And is the guy that's in the tube that leads
the Power Rangers.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Yes, and the and the little dragon you like Figment,
all that Figment.

Speaker 6 (05:15):
Figment been in the same place since I think the
park opened for forty years.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
Yeah, yes, yeah, well that building has not changed. It's
been a glass pyramid for as long as s Guy's
has been alive.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
We found the stuff. I mean, we got on the Guardians,
got on the test track. We made it soaring, so
you know, things happened, went to France ate there, all
this happened.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
No thanks to you.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
You're giving the show like a bad reputation.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
I wore my theme park podcast shirt. It was just
under another shirt, so I didn't give us a bad
reputation because nobody knew it was me.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
Anytime that I have ever been around your coworkers, which
is like, you know, once or twice a.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Year, true, true, Yes, all I.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
Ever do is be like he knows so much about
theme parks, Like if you ever go to a theme
park with him, he's the perfect companion. He knows all
these facts, he knows where everything is, where all the
bathrooms are, best food recommendations.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah no, I did not for any of that stuff.
When I was there to my coworkers, they were all
out of luck with me. Did you at least take
them to get school bread? We didn't, but I did
tell them about school bread. I did tell them that
school bread was delicious.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Oh yeah, frozen Frozen currently closed right now.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Frozen was closed. I believe that that pavilion was still
available to get school bread at. And I don't know
if that same guy works there to yell at to
me to buy school bread instead of the Oloff rice
Krispy Tree, but I still credit him for that school bread.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
Which when I was there, I was like, Oh, I'll
go get a boozy coffee from there. You would think
that the line to get in there was this is
the frozen line.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
That's how long it was?

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Oh wow, wow?

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Well, do you guys want to know what I rode
when I was there? Because I did get there before
all of my co workers. I was there when the
park opened. Oh wow, how many you got there?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Did you get in before you got to your co workers? Well?

Speaker 4 (07:16):
Well, I have another co worker is a big Disney fan,
so she actually made it to me in my first line.
So the first place I went, obviously guardians got on line.
Said eighty minutes right at nine o'clock when the park opened.
I'm like, hey, if you get here in the next
thirty or forty minutes, let me know you can come
join me in line. That line was racing, like she
raced into the park. She did eventually meet me right

(07:38):
before we got on the ride. I had to wait
for a little while, but it took me about twenty
five thirty minutes to get on that ride. When it
said eighty it was about thirty minute wait. So we
got it, wrote it, got a good song. Let's talk
got the the September. No, I got September on the
second ride. The first one was like the it's not
a good chocolate cha whatever, the bambaout that thing, whatever

(08:02):
that thing is. We got that one, so it was great.
Then by the rest of my co workers finally arrive.
After we go and ride test Track, we get in
line it for test Treck, just me and her, and
then like two more co workers were able to cut
in the line and get to us. So we wrote
test Track, and then everybody else finally arrived and were like, hey,
let's go ride Guardians. So we wrote it a second time.
This is why we eliminated the stupid virtual cue. I

(08:22):
got to write it twice in one day, twice in
one morning. Wait, second time, you guys trying to say chumbawamba.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
No, no, it's I got I can't stop this feeling.
Yeah no, I mean that's how the song goes.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
No, it wasn't that one. It was a different one.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
It was.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
I don't know what it was. It was maybe like
a Spanish song. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Hang on, just keep going, I'll look it up.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Yeah, so talking about glorious stuff on the rhythm is
gonna get No, I don't think so. That wasn't that
one either. Scott will look it up. Don't worry.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
So the second time we did Ride Guardians, it probably
did take close to like whatever the eighty minutes was
or whatever. We had twenty something people in line, so
we definitely kept ourselves in our pain.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
Okay, okay, okay. Was it Disco Inferno no Iran no Conga?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
That's the one we said that that's Conga.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
Yes, the one by Miami Sound Machine, which used to
include glorious stuff on?

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Is it the rhythm is gonna get you? No?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Isn't it right?

Speaker 3 (09:30):
No, it's Conga.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
Okay, whatever, but but is that the line the rhythm
is gonna get you in Conga?

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Uh that I don't know.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
I don't know. I rode the ride though, so we
got to do it twice. It was fun. So my
coworkers had never ridden it before and didn't know what
to expect, and that's always fun to watch people like
then their reaction they actually we had two people right
in front of our car that had never ridden it
before to my coworkers, and they loved it. Nobody got sick.
So I consider it a win all the way around. So

(10:04):
there first first thing in the morning, guardians, test track Guardians.
That's a win of a day for me. That alone.
Beyond that, I think we we we got into like
the wandering zone after that and we're just like wandering around.
We eat in France, which was okay, No, no, some
of the some of the like the upper you know,
the upper guys and girls. They went and ate in

(10:25):
the fancy French restaurant. We went to the little the
little place where you get sandwiches and stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Did you eat the two ey wrap? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (10:33):
No, I got some sort of a breakfast thing because
they were sold out of stuff.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Did you eat at any of the stands?

Speaker 4 (10:41):
I did not because I was full. After eating that,
I was I was done. We did eat in Mexico.
Little later, I just got a Truro. We got a
Truro and then a Truro Sunday. So my boss wanted
a chure Ou and I'm like, well, you want to
the churro the turo Sunday. So I just bought them both.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
And that was fine. That was good. I mean, that
was Mexico.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
I'm not hearing any Figment talk.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
We didn't ride Fit. We passed by Figment, but instead
of Land.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
That's the end of the show.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
How do you then?

Speaker 2 (11:13):
We wrote what.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
There?

Speaker 4 (11:17):
Some people made fun of Figment when I was there.
They made fun of it as a dork ride.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
That happened? Did you push that person to the ground? No?

Speaker 4 (11:27):
I agreed with him, but I told her my friend
Scott likes it.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
When when I went when I went on it, it
broke down.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
I break that ride well.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
When I got to the park.

Speaker 6 (11:44):
When I got to the park, it was already down,
so I was already not in a good mood.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
It was already not in a good mood when I
went to the Park that day. But then once I
saw it was close, I was really not a good mood.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
And then it opened back up and I'm like, oh,
let me go ride it, James, what were you about
to say when it breaks down?

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Did it break down right in front of the skunk part?

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Yes? Ah? Literally literally that happened broke down.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
And I'm on the ride and there happened to be
a cheerleading competition going on at ESPN's Wide World of Sports.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Ah.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
Oh, so now it's going on inside the Journey to Imagination.

Speaker 6 (12:28):
So I'm like sitting alone in the front seat and
then there's like four cheerleaders in the back.

Speaker 3 (12:36):
And I'm just like and they start like.

Speaker 6 (12:39):
The part smell well that like, luckily like goes away
very quickly, but it's no, it's the why did we
do this?

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Like? Who likes? How could anyone like this ride? And
I'm like, oh, like, I'm just.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Like making fun of me.

Speaker 6 (12:53):
I'm just I'm.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Lowering myself further and further in the seat.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Coldplay put you on their camera.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
I just certainly texting a friend of mine leg I
just need to get out like a bunch of jump.
I'm just about to jump out of this ride.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
I gotta go, I gotta go. These teenage girls are
making fun of it. It's just it's given me an
issue right now. No, we didn't ride Figment.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
We rode.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
We rode Living with Land because it's always an exhilarating
thrill ride it is. Then we rode Soaring, and then
we rode Living with the Land again. And in between
that we went to various countries. We stopped in Mexico.
We took pictures in a number of places. It was
a good day. But I will tell you what, I
have not done a full day at a theme park
in a while.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
I was wiped out.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
It was six o'clock. I had gotten to the park
at nine, and by six o'clock I was toast.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Okay, but but for the audience to remember, you went
to Halloween Hornit's and you were there less time and
you said the exact same thing.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
Yeah, my god, my hip was killing me at Halloween
Hornet It's old man problems.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
You know.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
I was just walking around too much and did me in.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
You were there for like forty five minutes.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
Shut up.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
I was there much longer than that, much longer.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Wait, you didn't do Ratatue.

Speaker 6 (14:13):
No.

Speaker 4 (14:13):
We were in France and Ratatu is long, and actually
some of the people I was with don't like like
the motion the most sim So we rolled the dice
with guardians.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
So I wasn't gonna do it again with Ratatue.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Mission space.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Absolutely not finding one hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
No finding.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
Yes, oh I forgot. We did do in finding Emo.
That's right, we did do. They're trying to tell us
three people can fit in that car. My guys, there
was my theme park of device. Three of us ain't
fitting in that car. It's a two person ride.

Speaker 3 (14:41):
I've been no.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Two persons, No, maybe two adults in a very small child.
No two Dirickerman's he can't fit three people inny thing.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
I've done it before.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
Wow, it'd be inappropriate as a as a work event. Okay,
can't be sitting on laps. HR is gonna get involved.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
We still sit next to each other.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Two to a car, Tu to a car was good.
We were good tudo car. We saw Nemo, we saw
the fish, saw the manatees. I think the dolphins weren't home.
It was good, going all a good day though.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Jeb was perfect.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Chubby boy was that wasn't chubby boy. There were manatees, but.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
No chubby boy.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Do you show them thirst Breaker?

Speaker 2 (15:27):
I did not bring thirst Breaker. I went.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
I went my favorite way to a theme park with
absolutely nothing in my hands, no backpack, nothing in my hands,
theme park shorts, jeans, had to wear pants.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
It was cold.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
No, no, you didn't.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
You didn't buy a gift for a friend and then
just carried around with you for like eight hours.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
I sucked.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
When I was in.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
When I went to Universal Japan, the first thing that
I did was get the picture with Bruce the Shark,
because of course I am. And that's when I think
I've showed you guys this leg.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Yes, and I'm very jealous of this picture.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
Do you want to like, do you want to buy
the thing? And I'm like yeah, like I would love
to you. And then I'm like, wait, do I have
to carry this the rest of the day? And it's
like yes, And it's like the commitment that I have
just now made.

Speaker 4 (16:25):
Yeah, you guys can't hold it for me.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
Scott, I pulled a such a rocky move. I went
to House of Blues, went to go see Motion City soundtrack.
The first thing we do when we get there is
go look at the merch because you never know what's
going to sell out. And I buy a record and
then I'm standing on the floor trying to keep a
vinyl record from getting damaged. So it's like occasionally I'm

(16:50):
like holding it with one hand against my chest one
occasionally it's.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Down by my waist and then the other go away.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
I have to hold it clear over my head so
that nobody bumps into metal crowdsurfed on top of it. Well,
there was only like one crowdsurfer the entire night, but
a mosh pit did break out, and it was like
the first mosh pit I've seen with my own eye.
Is why I was why I was on the floor
in quite some time, probably since I.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
Was just singing the same thing.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
I'm like, God, it's still mash.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
I had no idea.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
Yeah, Steel panther In Uh may have been like the
last time I saw I was in front of a
mosh pit.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Yes, they had one. Those people are all old. If
they did, I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
It was every band I saw a warp tour like, yeah, Well,
the thing is I was wearing like a sling bag
kind of thing, so I just attached the bag to
that so I didn't have to carry it with my hands.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
But if we're done with my visit to Disney, which
I think we are, everything was accomplished here. Great day
all around.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Red alert.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Scott Harris, I sent you guys in what was it Wednesday? Tuesday?
The excitement coming.

Speaker 5 (18:06):
You didn't You didn't say anything about the Valentine's Day
beignets that they have at the Port Orleans at sku Scatcats.

Speaker 4 (18:17):
That's because I don't want to be fat.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
That is why. Well that shit is staled.

Speaker 4 (18:23):
Hey, zip it point exter, all right, save your beignet
talk for someone that's gonna eat Benetes, because I'm not
eating them. Forget all that this is. This is a
red alert. This is very important coming to Bush Gardens.
I freaked out when I saw this, Scott. I was like,
oh my god. I got a text, Scott, oh my god,

(18:43):
taking back Sunday is playing there whatever wine thing they
have wine.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Food, wine and garden festival concerts.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
Shut up like that was a surprise announcement for me,
Like I did. I was not when I would predict.
I mean, they were just out. You just tore a
coheat and cambria. I somehow missed it and now they're
gonna be at freaking Bush Gardens.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
Well, it's like I told you before we were recording,
they were scheduled to do this in twenty twenty, and
then twenty twenty happened.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
Yeah, I am beyond excited for this.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Don't hate me. But what what's a taking Back Sunday?

Speaker 3 (19:21):
It's like a pop punk bit?

Speaker 6 (19:22):
I would know cute without the e Makedamn Sure twenty

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Louder now taking Back Sunday Music. Jimmy Really you know
I heard it?

Speaker 5 (19:39):
Yeah, I'm sure because like the other day, I was like, oh,
this is a Jimmy World song. I didn't know a
Jimmy Eat World song until like three days ago. Like,
I know the band and I know their songs. I
just never made the correlation that they Oh, okay, you
didn't know it was them. Okay, so you know the
songs you used to know who it was?

Speaker 3 (19:54):
Should we quickly run through? This lineup.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Is pretty tight.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
Only one that matters is Taking Back Sunday?

Speaker 3 (20:01):
But yes, Walker Hayes Puddle of Mud.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
Oh boy, that's that'll be a scene.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Pod group Omnia Skill it skill it skill.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
It's a great one. Skill, It's awesome.

Speaker 6 (20:15):
You know that Robin Thick, that's the one guy Warler
Warren G Warren g yep what uh Dylan Scott Kansas, Kansas.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
