Welcome to the Upside with Jordan the dose of good
news because it's a big world out there. Happy New Year,
dear friends. And here's the story about a young lady
who finished off the year in grand style helping out.
She's a junior at Brookline High School. Her name is
Skyla Luzy Porko, and she decided to do something very
special for kids in foster care during the holiday season.
She raised more than forty two hundred dollars. And the

special connection here is that Skyla herself was in foster
care before being adopted by her forever family. She put
together quite a campaign raising money to buy holiday gifts
through Boston Kasa, which trains volunteers to serve as court
appointed special advocates for kids who have experienced abuse and neglect.
Boston Kasa accepts donations year round for birthdays, back to
