Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, I kiss
what I was seven one.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Hi, good morning. It almost feels like I can really
only talk about dreams with you at this time in
the day, because come seven o'clock, it's like come and
gone out of my brain now. Granted, anytime someone tries
to tell you about a dream that they had, you
can tell that they're trying to make sense of whatever

(00:27):
happened in their subconscious the night before, and they just
need you to listen. But I fully know that you
have absolutely no idea what's going on as I'm saying
what this dream was, and you're kind of like tiff, like,
what's whatever?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Okay, hope you're well.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I was dreaming about being late for work as my
alarm was going off this morning, and then all of
these random people, random people, probably people that I watched
on social media before I went to bed, came across
in the dream. And it's when you're in it, it
feels like it's hours, but it's so much like Inception,

(01:06):
the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, where it feels like an
hour but you've really been only you know, out for
like ten minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Crazy what the brain can do.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, I was dreaming that I was late for work
as my work alarm was going off.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Are you a snooze person or not?

Speaker 2 (01:24):
I am, but I can imagine because of the hour
in which I set my alarm to get up. If
I ever, you know, win, I have a partner again
in life. That's got to be annoying if you just
have an alarm that goes off over and over and
over again at like four o'clock in the morning. But me,
solo dolo in my apartment, I just let that thing snooze.
I plan for snooze time. I am getting a little

(01:46):
bit better about it, but I typically like to just
snooze for a little bit. That's how I do things.
How are you? How are you? I haven't opened up
your phone yet. There are a few big things on
social media last night and even yesterday afternoon, like okay,
Dave Grohl, I'll have that in three things you need
to Know at six fifty I say it quite a bit,

(02:07):
but I don't mind reminding you because it's early. You
can always listen to my show through the iHeartRadio apps.
Search Kiss one oh seven one and you're locked in.
Good morning.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
When you need to know she's got you.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
It's three things with tip on the.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
Paul Say eighty and eighty five and even ninety percent
that the Trump economy was great, that their economy was terrible.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
The majority of Americans believe in a woman's right to
make decisions about her own body.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Good morning. It is Wednesday, September eleventh, and what a
fiery debate last night. Honestly made me feel dumb. I
wish there was a debate team in high school. I mean,
I obviously know the general execution of how a debate works,
but man, a conflict like that makes me so uncomfortable,

(03:00):
just crint. Like when Kamala Harris walked out there with
their hands straight and said, Hi, I'm Kamala Harris, Nice
to meet you. I was like, whoa, here we go,
obviously covering the big things that we've all been talking
about in our inner circles as of late, like the economy, inflation, immigration, abortion, et.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Cetera, et cetera. I thought, overall, it was done well.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
I like you, have scrolled past a bunch of clips
on social media this morning. I watched a chunk of
it before bed last night, and it was a debate,
and you know, this show doesn't typically lean political. There's
one we can all agree, there's one giant political monster
of a radio station in our city here, and that,
of course is seven hundred WLW. But overall covered the

(03:43):
things that I wanted to hear. From registration to vote deadlines,
October seventh, it's nine to eleven. Okay, that is your
timeline if you have not registered to vote in the
state of Ohio. I'm sorry I didn't pull Kentucky this morning.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
That was my bad.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Just get your ec together. I'm gonna have to vote
early in person this year. I think that's what I'm
gonna go with because I'm gonna be on vacation the
day of the election. That's gonna be a story for
a different day, but just not. October seventh is your
last time to register to vote if you're not already.
There was a moment last night where Springfield, Ohio got

(04:19):
the shout out, and you're gonna see that trending all
over social today.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Here it is in Springfield. They're eating the dogs the
people that came in.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
They're eating the cats, they're eating they're eating the pets
of the people that live there.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
You know what, I don't have a dog. But I'm
assuming that anyone listening to my show right now is
not going to be eating their dog. I really or
the cat, the cat or the dog. Lead the cat
and the dog alone. Do not eat the cat or
the dog all right. Oh, lastly, because it is also
huge on social media, this morning, Taylor Swift has endorsed president,

(05:00):
sorry Vice president, Kamala Harris. And you know, I don't
know when it became such a big deal for celebrity
endorsers for the presidential candidates that they choose. I don't
know when that happened. It must have been sometime in
the last few elections. But you know, the news is
gonna blow it out like a Taylor Swift has chosen
her kind of day, Like, Okay, we all have the

(05:21):
right to choose whoever it is that we want to
vote for. Just make sure you're registered to vote. And
I really don't care who celebrities vote for. I'm glad
that they're sticking up for their and they're for their
right to vote.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Like, go for it. I love that.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
But if you want to a little bit of a
clip she said, I will be casting my vote for
Kamala Harris and Tim walls in the twenty twenty four
presidential election. I'm voting because she fights for the right
and the causes.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
That I believe need a warrior to champion them.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I think she's steady handed, gifted, and I believe we
can accomplish so much more in this country if we
are led by camm and not chaos. The post goes on,
You'll see it a bunch, all right, we have to
move on. God, we are spending so much time on
this second and three things you need to know this morning,
of course, we're remembering the twenty third anniversary of nine
to eleven today.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
Eighty three years ago this nation was under attack. Well,
in just a couple of hours, families of these thousands
of victims will gather together for the reading of the names.
Throughout the ceremony, six moments of silence will be observed,
acknowledging when each of the World Trade Center towers was
struck and fell, and times corresponding to the attack on
the Pentagon and the crash of the United Airlines Flight

(06:32):
ninety three.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
You see also doing celebration and I'm sorry so I'm
not celebrations remembrance today as well with running the steps
there where the Bearcats play, and then all flags will
be flown at half mast. And then finally in three
things you need to know this morning. Okay, Dave grol
I saw you see the announcement about him having a

(06:56):
child outside of his marriage.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Let me read the quote for you.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
I've recently been come the father of a new baby daughter,
born outside of my marriage. I planned to be a
loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife
and my children, and I am doing everything I can
to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful
for your consideration toward all of our children and the
ones that are involved as we move forward together. He

(07:21):
also went on to say, is there one more piece here?
And now he went on to say that he's, you know,
fighting to earn the trust of his wife and children.
Once again, the way that that was phrased, and I
saw someone else say this on Twitter, it's like the
NFL announcing a new coach or one was fired, just

(07:41):
put out like a statement as if it was the NFL.
You know, Dave Grohl, I didn't do any slewthing as
to who he had the kid with. I didn't do
any of that I'm just like, oh God, you've got
enough problems on your own. He was just here right
the Foo fighters were here, what a month ago, and
he was talking about how much he loves Ohio, loves Cincinnati,

(08:02):
et cetera.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
I'll pull the clips for you later on in the show.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
Okay, that is the three things you need to know
for nine to eleven. Coming up next in our seven
o'clock hour, we're gonna talk about weird childhood memories that
just that that. Maybe they haunt you, maybe you're triggered
by them, maybe they're hilarious, maybe they're weird. I got

(08:26):
to talk back on one of them. So if you
want to jump in, of course, and get ahead on it,
search Kiss one oh seven to one on the iHeart
radio app. The microphone's right next to the play button.
We're gonna talk about your weird, bizarre childhood memories.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning time. Kiss
one O.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Seven one, Hi, We're talking about weird childhood memories. I
feel like nineties babies and two thousands babies have the
bizarrest funniest things that come to mind. So if one
comes to mind for you, feel free to talk back
with tiff on iHeart Radio. You'll see the microphone right
next to the play button when you search kiss one
or seven one, or you can call me. It's just

(09:02):
an alternative way to get involved. Whatever works for you, Ben, Okay,
Sarah Lease, good morning, Good morning. I just caught We
have this big glass window and against her in our doors,
and so I just see her walk by, and I
usually flag her to come in when I'm about to
talk about something. Do you have a bizarro one?

Speaker 7 (09:21):
Yeah, kind of yeah. I don't know if you remember
this place. The place was called bigs.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
No, I don't know what that is.

Speaker 7 (09:27):
Okay, if you grew up here and you're a millennial
like myself, then you know it. It's a bigger version
of Kroger. So think about Kroger on steroids.

Speaker 8 (09:37):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (09:37):
When I was about seven years old, I got lost
instead of a BIGS. I was shopping with my parents.
Wandered off and I was looking in like the clothing
department and didn't see him for quite some time. I
don't know how much time went by, but all of
a sudden, the microphone No, no, no, yep, no.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
They chimed in.

Speaker 7 (09:58):
They're like, Sarah, is there a Sarah, Habitank, your parents
are looking for you. Please come to the front, Sarah.
I thank God for that intercom. I'd probably still be there.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Do they still.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Intercom at Walmart and Meyer and Kroger. I haven't. I
haven't been in a store in years where I've heard
them call for a child.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
You know what.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
It has been a bit.

Speaker 7 (10:24):
I feel like that's the last I remember of an
intercom situation.

Speaker 3 (10:29):
And when that happens to you, that just burns into
your brain.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Oh dude, and my parents were bawling at the front
of like how long was I?

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Sarah's looking at like whatever the clothing brand is in
that store that I've never heard of.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
Dude.

Speaker 7 (10:41):
I had a Barbie with me, a sweatshirt, a pack
of kit Kats.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
I was like, let's go, like I've been shopping.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
I think that happened to me once when I was
but it wasn't triggering enough for me to remember it,
maybe just vaguely, but I think it might have been at.

Speaker 7 (10:56):
A Walmart Okay, yeah, sort of a big situation like
Begs was. Yeah, so think of Walmart meets Kroger. Yeah,
it was this huge store and I remember going all
the time as a kid. And that's the one situation
that really stands out to me because I just remember
my parents were so they were so sad, but they
were so excited to see me.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
And then I got in trouble for wandering off.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I got in trouble one time growing up. And this
one's my memory. When I was I must have been
like six, seven years old. Yeah, my mom sent me
into Walgreens. So this is when parents would send in
children into stores to go get them things, which is
crazy to think about.

Speaker 8 (11:34):
Now.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, maybe I was a little bit older. Okay, that
sounds like child abuse. If my mom sent me into
a Walgreens at six years old by myself, maybe it
was more like ten, maybe like nine or something.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
But anyways, I was sub ten.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
My mom sent me into Walgreens to buy something, and
she gave me the cash because that's all we had
in the early thousands. And I remember at that era
being so obsessed with stickers. I loved stickers. I had
a sticker book. I just lick. Stickers were a vibe
for you at that ege. And so there was this
little like you know, the round about the spinny racks
like that are at the end.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
It was full of stickers, and.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
So I used my mom's money to buy stickers instead
of whatever. I don't even remember, Mom.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
You don't need that bread, dude, you need stickers instead.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
So I bought it, went out and she's like, where's
my change? And I lied, like just straight up lied
to her, and I said they didn't give it to me.
She's like what, and I was like, no, they just
didn't give it to me, And so she went back
into the store. While she's in the store, I took
the stickers and I buried them in the mulch outside.

(12:38):
Oh no, in the Woolgreens landscaping. I am taking little
shortcake stickers and burying them underneath the mulch. And she
comes running out and like after she tooks she's like,
they said that they gave you the change, and you
bought stickers. And we went back and forth a little
bit on that one, but the repercussions of that was

(12:59):
one she made me go in and apologize. Oh so
I learned apologizing what conflict looked like very early on
in age. And then she banned me from doing something
that like a recital of some sort that I had
been practicing for years and years or not years and
years for whatever the recital. I remember this recital I
was supposed to have and she said I couldn't go lesson,

(13:21):
learn hard, lesson.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Wow, Walgreen's calling you out for your ish.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Yeah, dude, I haven't walked into a Walgreen since.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
We're back talking about your funny, bizarre, weird a childhood memories.
You're well, we're gonna get right to our phone lines. Hi,
you're on TIF in the morning. Good morning. Good So.

Speaker 8 (13:42):
I don't know if you guys remember the old Tri
County Mall, but there used to be a little hit
steam park inside called Wonder Part Okay, and my mom
would drop me and my best friend off I think
we were like seven or eight years old, and she
would say that she would either do a lap around
them all or do whatever and then she would come
back and get us. Well, we decided that, after you know,

(14:03):
writing a few rides, that we wanted to walk around
the mall, and we unfortunately did not time it to
my mom's arrival, so we actually had the mall security
going through looking for us.

Speaker 9 (14:17):
Because I don't think that they have an intercom system there.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
No, no not at the dry County. I doubt it.
Look at you being a decision maker at seven or
eight years old, just being like, let's go troll the mall,
I know.

Speaker 9 (14:29):
And it turns out we went into a kid's shoe.

Speaker 8 (14:31):
Store and they were like, hey, I think.

Speaker 9 (14:34):
That there's somebody looking for you. There's a memo out
about two kids, and we're.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Like, oh, no, what time is it?

Speaker 8 (14:41):
It's me.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
What I loved that about that story, though, is that
your mom just dropped you off with the plaything and
went and did her thing.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
That never happens anymore.

Speaker 9 (14:54):
No, I just feel like it was. I think we
were the last generation to be able to do that safely, to.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Be honest for real.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Remind me of art now ye wow, even then, I
feel like that's what you're what you were obviously you
were born in nineteen ninety nine, then, right, that's my math.

Speaker 8 (15:11):
Yeah, so I'm like, right at the millennial boer the era.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Well, what's your name, what neighborhood? Are you waking up
with me this morning?

Speaker 8 (15:19):
I'm Brittany from Kolay.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Hi, good morning.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
We're not far off from the three things you need
to know to get your day started. Here and since
of course I do that every day around seven point
fifty on Tiff in the morning. Well, let me usher
you into this conversation. If you're just turning on Kiss
one oh seven one, we're talking about bizarre, funny, weird,
wild childhood memories, the ones that are just burned into
your core.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
The reason why we even.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Got on this topic is because I got this talk
back with Tiff yesterday.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
And if you haven't heard it here it is.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
When I was a.

Speaker 6 (15:51):
Kid, my parents brought me to you in a movie
theaters to sea Monster Sank And there was this woman
who was talking on the phone during the beginning credits,
and my dad asked police be quiet, and she proceeded
to talk on the phone, and so he then took
his bottle of water and stumped it all over her,
and she started yelling at him. We ended up getting

(16:11):
kicked out of the theater and getting our tickets rebunded.
But yeah, that happened when I was a kid.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
When I was a kid, blank happened. Man, That'll stick
with you for forever.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
We got time for one more call. High you're on
the air.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
You so, Kristen, you had a problem at the Rainbows.
Tell me a little bit more about what happened at Rainbows.

Speaker 9 (16:31):
I unfortunately was guilty by association. Okay, but my friend
somehow managed to steal a pair of Leopard high heels
from this Rainbow store. And mind you, they were absolutely adorable.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
But we get home.

Speaker 9 (16:49):
I had no idea this even happened. We get home
and she pulled these high heels out of her jacket,
and by my knowing that we didn't buy any Leopard
high heel.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Yeah she knew, she was wearing them.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yeah, she was.

Speaker 9 (17:06):
Wearing them around the house, like right after.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
We got Oh no, oh, no oh, thank you for
the call.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
I appreciate you girl.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
The it's that it just lives deep inside you. You're
more than welcome to join our conversation. We got to
put a pin in it, though, But I go back
and check our talkbacks throughout the morning at least once
or twice. Coming up after Tommy Richmond, we're going to
dive into the three things you need to know to
get your day started in Sincy, including the latest celebrity

(17:33):
added to the Happy Gilmour.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Movie whnn you need to Know She's got you.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
It's three Hi, good morning.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
We're just before eight o'clock. I'm checking in on you.
It is obviously nine to eleven. Temperatures are going to
be in the eighties once again this afternoon, and then
over the weekend we'll see some remnants of the hurricane
with some scattered showers Friday through Saturday and Sunday. There
twenty three years ago, and you know, I'll play some
audio for you here in a second.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
But I'm a part of that era that was.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Young but old enough to somewhat know what was going on,
but have vague memories. I mean, anything that's twenty three
years old is going to have vague memories. But I
was in the sixth grade, and I remember standing in
the hallway of my middle school and my Spanish teacher
just kind of freaking out a little bit. And then
I get home and my stepmom said, I'm going to
wait until your father gets home. And I don't really

(18:30):
remember anything outside of that, and maybe just the effect
that it had on my parents, noticing some of the
ways that they act a little bit different ever since then.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
But here we are twenty three years later.

Speaker 5 (18:45):
Twenty three years ago, this nation was under a tackle
in just a couple of hours. Families of these thousands
of victims will gather together for the reading of the names.
Throughout the ceremonies, six moments of silence will be observed,
acknowledging when each of the world trade entered was struck
and fell, and times corresponding to the attack on the
Pentagon and the crash of the United Airlines Flight ninety three.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
I've read that UC is going to be running the
steps today where the Bearcats play and flags will fly
at half mass. There's been hundreds of things that have
come out in the twenty three years since, documentaries, stories, articles, etc.
One of my favorites is a story that former President
Barack Obama posted maybe last year or the year before

(19:28):
about the Boy with the Red Bandana, and it's a
wonderful documentary on YouTube. But essentially, this boy was working
at the Twin Towers. He always wanted to be a firefighter.
He went back in and kept helping people and helping people,
and he wore a red bandana around his face, and
his mother was devastated that he perished in the collapse.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
But years and years later, people.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
That were helped by the Boy with the red bandana
came eventually put the pieces of the puzzle together and
now we have this long standing story about the boy
with the red bandana, and there's a charity for him.
This all sorts of things, and so I highly recommend
that one on YouTube if you're looking for something to
troll on your phone at some point.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
Today, you know what, why don't we leave it here?

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Typically I do three things, but let's honor nine to
eleven today. That is September eleventh, of course, coming up
in our eight o'clock hour. We're commercial free and you
can always access iHeartRadio by searching Kiss one oh seven one,
and that way you don't miss the thing. Good morning, well, ooh,
that was a good one. You're waking up a tiff
in the morning. I Kiss one oh seven one. I
say it every day. But if you love the if

(20:28):
you're if you base your life, what type of vibe
it is, I'm hoping to deliver that to you, right,
good music, some content, some conversation.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Everything you need.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Search Kiss one oh seven one on iHeartRadio. Okay, and
actually while you're there, you can leave me a talk back.
You'll see the microphone right next to the play button.
It's just an alternative way to get involved in our conversation.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
If you're forgetting.

Speaker 9 (20:52):
One thing about the dude with the red bandana from
nine to eleven.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
He went to Boston College.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
Boston College has.

Speaker 9 (20:58):
A bandana game that they play every year to honor him.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Thank you for the talk back with to have New Year,
So right, I didn't mention that part in three Things
you need to know. We're just chatting a little bit
about nine to eleven, et cetera. You're more than welcome
to share your store with me. Sometimes that's the best
feeling and the best thing you can do is to
just share with a friend.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
I really get that.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
That's why we have therapy, you know, So you're more
than welcome to jump in. But yes, I was talking
about in the twenty three years since nine to eleven,
there's been all sorts of footage that's come out, articles, documentary,
social all of it from conspiracy theories to facts, all
of in between. And my favorite thing was the story
about the red bandana, and I forgot to mention that

(21:40):
it was he was from Boston College. That's right. I
should have said that, And they do a red bandana
game every year. If you're like Tiff, I have no
idea what you're talking about. Search red Bandana on YouTube. Okay,
loved it, and I also think Barack Obama narrated it too.
The last time I watched it was last year. Maybe
we'll do that this afternoon, all right, coming up in
two songs. The iPhone sixteen announcements came out yesterday, so

(22:08):
you might have already beat me to some of these
new changes to the iPhone and the Android, et cetera.
If so, great, just stick around for the convo. If not,
let me update you. You also might not know a
famous celebrity shot their entire their entire music video coming
out this week from the iPhone sixteen, So if you're
a content creator, you're gonna want to stick around for

(22:30):
this as well. Like I said, we'll get to that
in two songs.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning.

Speaker 10 (22:37):
Kiss on U seven one, Android and iPhone users will
now live in harmony together.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Green Bubble doesn't bother us anymore. Good morning. Speaking of
Green Bubble, both of my parents are green Bubbles, and
my mom just tried to call me, not because there's
an emergency or anything. I know her. You guys know
her as well, a little unhinged, a little not all there.
She tried calling me, I said, Mom, I'm on the

(23:10):
air right now, like I'm hello, just about to go
live right over her head. Nonetheless, the iPhone sixteen.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
Is it the sixteen?

Speaker 6 (23:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:22):
The iPhone sixteen features were released yesterday, So you might
have already scrolled past a few of these, especially if
you're on social, etc. I'm gonna run through a few
of them because there's a chance you don't know which
artist filmed an entire music video on the new iPhone sixteen.
I guess great for content creators, so if you're one
of them. Biggest thing between Apple and Android is the

(23:42):
green bubble. Second, you can't ever see when Android is
typing like you can with the iPhone.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
And then the.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Other one is, oh, when someone with an Android phone
goes to react to something that you've said.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
And for anyone that's like Tiffany or speaking a.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Little jumbled language here, if someone tries to heart like
excite something that you've said, it sends as the second
text message.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Right, that's all kind of going away. So we'll be.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Able to see androids typing. Great, they'll have better integration
between one another, and they'll no longer be sending a
second text message for when they've reacted to something that
you've said. Love that love that we can live in
harmony together. Some other upgrades that are coming. The camera

(24:32):
will now have a button on the side, so you
don't lock your phone every time you try to take
a point five. You'll also be able to toggle between video
and camera. You can control the iPhone sixteen with your eyeballs.
I don't know that's giving a little bit of iRobot,
but there you go. There's one other major change. Oh,
some new emojis that's pretty typical for every iPhone and

(24:52):
even updates. And then there's one more battery life. I
think that was it. Oh no, I knew I was
missing something. The Apple intelligence is getting better. Good AI,
sure right, everyone's gonna get in on it. Why haven't
we fixed sirih?

Speaker 3 (25:14):
Why have we fixed it? She's literally the worst, the most.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Unhelpful thing in the unit in the world is Siri.
She sets reminders and alarms for me, but I can't
ask her a single question.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
She doesn't get it. She just does not get it.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
I'm also operating with an iPhone twelve Mini, and that
thing's ancient. It's dusty, it has no storage left on it.
I really need to get into new phone, but I've
been avoiding it, you know. It's just one of those
things that's been on my list for quite a bit.
Speaking of newer phones yet older phones, I also read
somewhere that they're discontinuing the two iPhones that came out

(25:50):
before the sixteen. So it's almost like, if you're like
me with the twelve, you would have thought, Okay, the
cheaper version will be the fifteen. I'll just go there.
They're like, Nope, we're discontinuing that as well. So it's
almost as if you have to invest in the sixteen.
I gotta get on it. I gotta get on it.
Speaking of the camera and such, the Weekend filmed the

(26:11):
entire music video for his new song Dancing in the
Flames on the iPhone sixteen. I'll play a clip if
you might have missed this. We played this earlier in
the week. This song comes out at the end of
this week. I like, I'm gonna have that in full

(26:51):
fore you on Friday. It's off of his new album
Hurry Up Tomorrow, which will be the final piece of
the trilogy under the last couple that he's released and
I guess it's also the last time he's gonna go
as an artist under name the weekend, so we'll see.
We don't have a release date on Hurry Up Tomorrow,
all right? Coming up in two songs. There's only one

(27:13):
man that could deliver a baby in a thong sandal.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
We will talk about that next. And you know how
I feel about the thong.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
You're waking up with Fifth in the Morning podcast on
ven one.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Which artist delivered their own baby?

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Who do you think it would be?

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Give yourself maybe, I don't know six seconds to think
of which artist has enough grit and is badass enough
to deliver their own baby. It's a man, by the way,
it's a man I guess helped deliver it for his girlfriend.
I'm not quite sure if they're married or not. That's
post Malone. Post Malone delivered his own baby. He was

(27:59):
on the Von show You there when she was born.
I pulled her out, No, I did they let me
bring my kitan in? What kind of shoes did you wear?

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Close to obviously.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Anybody, anybody who wears open toe shoes to their child's birth,
because obviously, first of all, a Jimmy Buffett fan, Well that's.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
The one exception, I think Jimmy Buffet could wear thongs.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
The child's birth.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
I think, you know, the absolute only reason why I
brought that whole clip up is because you know my
stance on a thong sandal and at a birth.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
No, no, we're, we're, we're.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
I'm not putting your name on the birth certificate if
you wear a thong to the birth. Posty also released
the set list for his upcoming F one trillion tour.
I'm so bummed that he's not coming anywhere near us.
I'm not kidding, but he's going to weird cities for artists,
like bangor Maine. I feel like is a bizarre one

(29:01):
for an artist to choose for a show, but I
think he loves the Northeast. The closest one to us,
I think is a Nashville. But the set list is
not entirely country, despite what you would have thought of
maybe the F one trillion album.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
He's going to do Circles and.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Chemical and Sunflower, Congratulations, rock Star, all of the ones
that you love. So if you're a big Posty fan,
which I know, we have a ton here in Sincy.
From his last sold out show at Riverbend, the f
one trillion tour looks to be good. Actually I did this.
Is that you remember the last time he was at Riverbend.
This wasn't this past summer. It was the summer before

(29:36):
he got booed Cincinnati bowed him hard for this one thing,
and thank you for this beautiful, this beautiful God's team.

Speaker 9 (29:47):
Shirt from.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Oh you want to hear a boo just say cowboys
and a stadium full of Bengals fans.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
But somebody have brought him a little Cowboys jersey.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Actually, the person that did shot me a DM and
said that they are the ones that did it. And
now I'm sure that little baby that he delivered not
in a thong sandal, is now wearing that jersey. But
you know, you know how we feel about how we
feel about.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
The Cowboys here and Cincy.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Okay, coming up at eight fifty, I've got the three
things you need to know to start your day in Cincy,
including which celebrity was added to the Happy Gilmore To cast.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
When you need to know She's got you, It's three
things with Tiff good.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Morning, We're just before nine o'clock and more celebrities have
been added to the Happy Gilmore Too movie coming out
on Netflix. Netflix hasn't given us a release date yet,
but just announced yesterday that Bad Bunny We'll be joining
the cast, which now makes this cast very diverse in
its talent. We had already heard from Adam Sandler and
the Jimmy Fallon Show that Travis Kelce.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
Was gonna be in it, what a big handsome guy.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
And Adam was on the New Heightslight podcast not long
after that, and so we already knew that that was coming.
Adam said on Jimmy that there'll be lots of golf cameos.
So I think this script is probably gonna be written
really well if you're gonna resurrect such a big movie,
but we'll also see lots of cameos.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
So hoping that goes in their favor.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
Second, in three things you need to know this morning
hasn't been confirmed all the way, and when I say
all the way, TMZ hasn't put it up on their site,
but I had seen it circulating on social and you
know the rules if I see it more than three times,
we talk about it. That Cardi B and Offset have
welcomed the third child together. Culture is six Wave that

(31:46):
just celebrated his third birthday, and I'm hearing it's a
baby girl, but again hasn't been confirmed. Of course, Carti
made the big Instagram announcement not long ago, and right
after that announced that she was getting divorced from offset.
Little on the seaside, you know, feels as if she
just she can't get away, but she can't stay. It's

(32:08):
a lot of in between. But I wish her well,
of course, on her new journey through him out of
their hood. And she's always seemed to have been a
good mom, not only to her own kids, but offsets
other kids, which I think I'm not kidding. He has
like six, all right. And then lastly, and the three
things you need to know this morning. The VMAs are tonight.
Of course I'll have clips and coverage and interviews and
winners for you tomorrow and three things you need to know.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
But Eminem is opening the show and he is.

Speaker 9 (32:35):
All right.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
I had to google.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
I said, well, when's last time Eminem was on the VMA's.
Actually wasn't that long ago. In twenty twenty two he
jumped on stage with Snoop Dogg and Doctor Dre and
Meghan the Stallion is hosting tonight, all right, That is
three things you need to know. For Wednesday, September eleventh,
we're honoring those that were lost and those who have
served in nine to eleven, twenty three years ago. Flags

(32:57):
will be flying at half mass today here in Cincion.
I believe you see if they're not already doing it,
they're running the steps where the bear Cats play. Coming
up in our nine o'clock hour. Got more music for you,
more conversation. If you want to keep listening, I'd love
to have you. Just search Kiss one oh seven one
on iHeartRadio. If you're getting out of your carcase you're waking.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Up with fifth in the morning, Kiss one o seven one.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
It's Community Corner time with Tiff in the morning. I
usually highlight something or someone or an event I think
would be beneficial to you in your community in the
Community Corner segment.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
And today I have a.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Keisha who is the founder of the Lace Up for
Life sneaker Ball, which is happening this weekend where.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
At Saban Hall. I'm in the Liberty Center. In the
Liberty Center. Okay, Kisha, welcome.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
To the show.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Thank you for having me.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
So sneaker Ball already says exactly what the event is.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
I have to know right out the gate what your
sneaker is going to be for this ball. Oh, I
am and Jordan retro.

Speaker 11 (34:02):
And so they're black and gold, black and gold, black
and gold to go with the dress. And so I
am ready to demonstrate all the style.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
That comes with the sneer bar.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Is it are they mids highs lows?

Speaker 3 (34:15):
What are they?

Speaker 2 (34:15):
They are highs? Nice? Is this something you've already kept
at home or is this something you had to buy.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
For the sneaker ball.

Speaker 11 (34:22):
I definitely had to buy it for the second ball.
And actually when they dropped, yeah, I was like on
the thing trying to be and there was like, oh,
you're in the queue and I was like, oh no.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Not the cue, no nothing. But I'm like, please don't
let me be in the cue.

Speaker 11 (34:34):
And they second gratulations you got this snegirl was like, yes, but.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
You have when you line it.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
When you line up for sneakers, you have to put
your credit card in in advance. It's almost like trying
to buy a Taylor Swift ticket.

Speaker 11 (34:44):
Sometimes absolutely retrod if you're going to get the tickets blindly, yes, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
If you're a seven, you're like I'll take a seven
point five.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
I don't care what it is.

Speaker 11 (34:53):
It's like, I'll just stuff tissue paper in the shoe.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
And wear it.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Yeah, we'll get to what the sneaker balls for in
a hot second. But I all still have to know
do you keep your Jordan's in the box?

Speaker 3 (35:03):
I keep them in the box.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Thank you, sneakerheads unite, Here we go, Here we go.
All right. Keisha came to me and said, hey, we
have this lace Up for Life sneaker ball. I always
like to hear it out of your words as to
why you're putting on an event, because to be the
founder of the inaugural event in Butler County for this,
I mean it has to come from somewhere. So tell
me a little bit about it. What the expectation is

(35:26):
for this weekend.

Speaker 11 (35:27):
Yeah, So the story is really that we are as
a community taking a pledge that we are going to
lace up for life. I like to tell people when
the world is grief adjacent and your grief stricken, and
I have been grief stricken for this touch touches home
that I have to do something about it. And so

(35:47):
it's not one thing just to have a cause. But
you have to have a life to go with the cause,
and we want life life to continue to preserve. This
Saturday is about us being a beacon of hope. We
know that September is prevention suicide prevention month, and this
week is actually suicide Prevention week world wide, and so

(36:08):
it's a conversation, although a dark one, but a much
needed one during this time.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Kisha, this is my bad as the interviewer and the host.
I failed to mention that the Lace Up for Life
is for suicide prevention this weekend. And you know, it
is one of those things where if it's if you're
grief adjacent, you always feel for your community, but if
you're grief stricken, that grief is heavy and it shows up.
Grief shows up in weird places at weird times. And

(36:37):
this is the this place this weekend. You'll meet people,
I'm sure that are going through something similar. So that's
a great way to go and connect with others that
are maybe in a similar boat to you if you
feel lost or hopeless. And then also alternatively, it's a
way to just help out Butler, Butler County and help
out Cincinnati in general.

Speaker 11 (36:56):
Absolutely, we were going to do a Candlelight Digital for
those who've gone on, and we're just gonna honor the
generation that is here and of course come together as
the community and really supporting those who need it, because,
as you said, grief is grief adjacent. You have empathy,
and some people don't even know what to say during grief. Sure,

(37:17):
and so it's like sorry for your lost You didn't
think I'm sorry for my own loss. And so it's
really like understanding the importance of life, really understanding what
to look for if you could, even if there's not
no signs. Are you paying attention to the person in
front of you? That's the first part of communication. Do
you observe the person that you talk to?

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Yeah, you know what I was gonna ask, if you've
if something has happened in your life that you know,
if grief has happened you do you have advice for
someone like me who is maybe grief adjacent that would
want to help someone, And you kind of just answered
it there, open up your eyes, right, and we get
so lost in our soul phone or is that new
iPhone sixteen coming out? But pay attention to what's across

(38:01):
from you. Absolutely like the form of clear communication. As
Brenardi Brown says, is kind of communication, and the first
part of communication when I teach my students.

Speaker 11 (38:11):
Is what do you observe about the person in front
of you? If you're really paying attention and being very present,
you can notice the subtle changes that are happening when
they have started to check out with life. So you
want to be there for that person. Ask and then
have people like to be fueled by connection, and connection

(38:34):
is important where you were driven by connection and so
ask be connected, then follow up look for supports to help. Hey,
I know this is a conversation you may not want
to have, but I'm here for you because sometimes words
don't fuel the connection.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
Being there does.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Okay, we'll leave it there a Kisha, that's a good
place to leave it. The Lace Up for Life sneaker
Ball is this weekend. Details on where and how we
buy the.

Speaker 11 (38:58):
Tickeouts Yes, so details on wear save in haul September fourteenth,
from six to nine. You can go on betterworldlink dot
com and find it. Go to our Facebook page Ccecounsel
or Instagram CC Counsel and the link is there. We
need you there, help us lace up for life. Take

(39:18):
a step for.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Take the Jordans out of the box, wear them to
the event tonight.

Speaker 3 (39:23):
Thank you, Keisha, thank you
