(00:01):
When you need to know she's gotyou. It's three things with tip one.
Hi, good morning, it isTuesday. Temperatures are right before seven
o'clock. By the way, temperaturesare gonna bump up again. We hit
ninety yesterday, at least according tomy car. We were hot. I
loved it and that's gonna be thecase again for today with some cloud cover
(00:24):
before some storms move in towards theend of the week. I'll have more
on that later. All right.Last night, Miss Caitlyn Clark has officially
entered the w NBA Draft, beingselected number one with the first pick in
the twenty twenty four WNBA Draft. The Indiana Fever select Caitlin Clark University of
(00:49):
We knew that that was gonna happen, and so I'm not surprised. There
four years, three hundred and thirtyeight thousand dollars for her rookie contract.
Angel Reese was all so another bigplayer that was talked about over the last
couple of weeks. She was chosenseventh and will be on her way to
Chicago, so we're within driving distanceof seeing them both. In fact,
(01:10):
Kayln Clark is going to be atthe in Indiana guys like I've been dying
to go to a Pasterers game.I miss my boss in Celtics. I
just missed the NBA in general. So being able to go to not just
a Pacers game in the future, but now the WNBA and see her play
with the fever, I'm excited.I just love that I was able to
(01:30):
lead Tuesday, the sixteenth of twentytwenty four with the WNBA Draft. That's
just cool in itself. Fashion Wise, these ladies showed up to their red
carpet. Caitlyn Clark wearing all Prada, I mean just living love that for
her. I played the audio yesterdayof her on Saturday Night Live, and
(01:52):
she talked about how nervously she wasto do it, but a once in
a lifetime opportunity for her on multipleoccasions. We'll hear more from her later
on in the show. Second. In three Things You Need to Know this
morning, I feel like I havetalked about this every couple of months for
almost two three years now, andthat is the Rust shooting case from that
(02:13):
movie set years ago. The formerRust Armor Hannah goudieras Reid, who was
convicted of manslaughter for her role inHelena Hutchinson's death received a sentence of eighteen
months behind bars yesterday in front ofa New Mexico judge. She'll serve her
time at a woman's correctional facility inthe state. And let me tell you
(02:34):
this, eighteen months for involuntary manslaughterdoesn't seem like a lot, especially if
you stack it up against nonviolent drugcrimes. Right. Curious to see how
much time she actually spends behind bars. And by the way, Alec Baldwin's
trial starts later on this summer inJuly. All right, finally, in
three Things you Need to Know. This morning, almost a week out,
and I'm still talking about New Heightslive out at UC. I wasn't sure
(03:00):
if we were gonna see any backlashfrom it. In fact, I didn't
anticipate to see any backlash. However, there was some conversation on Twitter that
did include Jason Kelce, so Iwill read it here. Jason Kelce,
please question your brother for the graduationantics. Doing what you did at a
playoff game in Buffalo is one thing, but doing that at a college where
(03:21):
he got kicked off the team foracting like a jackass prob wasn't the best
idea. Now, if you're like, remind me what happened. They had
done that, not fake cute graduationceremony for them, right, And Travis
Kelce, there's video footage on ourpage if you haven't seen this video yet
at Kiss t one oh seven, essentially chugg de beer right after he had
(03:44):
quote graduated. Jason Kelce responded with, I know it looks like a graduation
from the video, but this wasactually at the end of the New Heights
Live podcast that we put on toraise money for the university's NIL program.
The university did this to poke funat my brother and I for never really
picking up our diplomas. If youwere in the building, wouldn't have thought
twice about it. If you wereon the outside looking in like this Twitter
(04:06):
user was, maybe it looked different, but like I said, I'd never
anticipated in any backlash. But Iwanted to read that for you because it
was trending this morning. All right, that is three things you need to
know for the sixteenth of April.Coming up in our seven o'clock hour,
we're commercial free and we're gonna talkabout weddings. Push yourself in the seat
(04:30):
of going to maybe two or threeweddings in a year for someone spending a
good amount of money on those experiencesand then getting this text message. We'll
talk about that. Like I said, coming up at seven twenty. Best
way to keep listening to Tip fromthe morning so on the free iHeartRadio app.
Lets you have it secured on yourphone, Apple CarPlay at your desk.
Just search Kiss one oh seven one. It's easy. This is how
(04:56):
we do it. You're waking upwith fifth in the morning. I will
give you a billion Tiff in themorning points if you can tell me what
movie that was from. Makes megiggle every time I hear that song,
I think of that quote. Shootme a DM or leave me a talk
back with Tiff on the I Heardapp, you'll see the microphone next to
(05:16):
the play bond. It was quick, so your brain has to be working
fast this morning to catch him.Now we're gonna talk about weddings, right
it feels like wedding season, especiallywith yesterday's weather. And am I here
to knock any bridezilla's or anything likethat, Although I do love a good
bachelor and a bachelorette tea from timeto time, but no, I'm curious
if anyone else has experienced this. You spend a good amount of money celebrating
(05:43):
someone's wedding and then two years lateryou get this phone call from them.
Let me set the scene for you. So, my best friend, Hannah
lives in LA. We went toschool together in Boston. When we were
together two weekends ago, she's like, hey, do you remember my friend?
Like, yeah, she had goneto They live in LA. They
(06:04):
did a bachelorette party in Miami, they did a wedding on the East Coast,
where she's originally from, and thenthey did a wedding in the South
of France. Okay, so threemajor celebrations for this wedding in the time.
(06:24):
Yeah, of course, it's atrip to the South of France,
et cetera. Two years later, she gets a phone call from her that
says, yeah, the relationship isn'tworking out. We're in the process of
getting a divorce twenty four months withinthe twenty four after the wedding in the
(06:45):
South of France, and listen, should this be your first reaction? No,
it shouldn't, but I'm gonna justcall it out like I know it
is. Your first inclination is tobe like, oh my god, I
spent so much money on that wedding, then followed by of course heartbreak for
your best friend, right, whois you know suffering obviously some really intense
(07:10):
emotions and divorces and separations and relationship. I know, not the divorce part.
I know that relationships are very delicateand breakups are really really hard.
Trust me, I'm familiar with thatscene. But that is so much money
to spend on a wedding immediately followedwithin two years by a divorce. And
(07:32):
so of course our same question,we have the same question what happened,
Like, how would you go throughwith not one, but two, but
three big, big, big celebrationsif you were unsure about the wedding?
And when Hannah had asked her,she had said, I don't know.
I kind of felt it in themoment that it wasn't right, but I
was just trying to force it tomake it feel right, which is sad
(07:55):
in general, because you got someonein your inner circle, it might even
be you that has felt that beforeand you just so desperately wanted to work
out and it doesn't. But onthe other side of the table, Hannason,
they're like, mmm, I'm herefor you, girl. But at
a wedding in the south of France, a bachelorette party in Miami, and
then a an additional wedding on theEast coast when you live in LA that's
(08:18):
at least at least eight thousand dollarsat least. So I'm just curious if
anyone has experienced something like this before. Granted, the bride is you know,
now moving on and will eventually feelyou know, happiness and joy.
Right of course, I know thatrelationships are delicate. So that's why I
said, I'm not out here, you know, talking about bridezillas or anything.
(08:39):
I'm just curious if that has happenedto anyone else but my friend Hannah.
So if you are in the sameboat five win three seven four nine,
one oh seven one, I'm curiousto hear from you commercial free.
In the meantime, if you wantto just hang out baby, good morning.
You're waking up with Tiff in themorning on Kiss one oh seven so
(09:00):
one commercial free. That clip wasfrom Step Brothers. This is Kaz from
Independence. This is how we doit, shot out to both Kaz and
Becky mcargu She DM me and youguys got it right. Yes, that
clip was from stepbrothers. If you'rejust walking into this, I played it
in our last hour and asked ifanyone else understood my sense of humor.
(09:22):
All right, you've got a billionpoints to using your tip in the morning
bank for whenever you need them.I'll just keep those safe for you.
We're in the midst of talking aboutweddings, and like I said, I'm
not out hunting for bridezillas, althoughI do love some tea from time to
time. Don't get me wrong onthat one. My best friend Hannah and
I were chit chatting when we wereboth in Boston. We went to college
together a couple of weekends ago. When we were you know, back there,
(09:45):
she had told me, Hey,you remember that friend. I went
to the wedding in the East Coast, the bachelorette party in Miami, and
then the wedding in the south ofFrance. She got a phone call from
the bride that two years later.Relationships not working out now. Granted,
you know, divorces are very delicate. Of course, of course you feel
for your friend. But I said, Hannah, like, you must have
(10:07):
spent ten thousand dollars on that weddingcelebration. What happened. Yeah, we're
not going to go into it becauseI already talked about it at length.
But I'm out here searching for otherstories because I'm just curious if anyone else
has done this, And you know, shout out to Emily, who is
pretty vulnerable with me on Instagram. She DM me and said this was me.
Actually, Uh, my ex andI had a gorgeous Destination wedding and
(10:28):
a beautiful tropical honeymoon. Almost twoyears later, he walked out, never
came back with no explanation. Oh. I felt so bad for what the
people went through and I felt soled on, But I have moved on
and my boyfriend is absolutely wonderful.Good Emily. I think most people know
these days that relationships don't always worktrue. I always have appreciated the support
(10:50):
I had when I got married, and I hope for that again someday.
Of course, like I said,it's delicate right when your friend says,
hey, my relationship's not working out. But on the flip side, I
just felt for Hannah, I meanten thousand in the hole after it didn't
work out, and the bride kindof knew going into it that she didn't
(11:13):
feel at one hundred percent. Shecan't be alone. So if you've got
more, you're more than welcome tojoin the show. Commercial free. Let's
get into some Mariah Care. Andby the way, we're not far off
from the three Things you need toknow coming up at eight fifty when you
need to know she's got you,it's three Things with tip. Sorry about
(11:33):
that running the hair behind. Iwanted to get this T Higgins audio for
you before we even get to himthough. I'm so thrilled that the WNBA
is the lead story on Three Thingsthis morning. How exciting is that?
Right? So no surprise that CaitlinClark was drafted. Is the number one
pick to the Indiana Fever last night? Of course I have the audio.
(11:56):
Four Yeah. With the first pickin the twenty twenty four WNBA draft,
the Indiana Fever select Caitlin Clark Universityfour years as a rookie deal three hundred
and thirty eight thousand, and Hereshe is talking about her excitement level of
playing. A lot of the peoplearound me have a lot of fun be
(12:18):
myself and that's why I got intobasketball, because it's fun at the age
of five. And how lucky amI? It could to be my job.
So I'm really thrilled for her.I guys, it's not far from
us. In fact, she gota shout out from the pacers as well
to the squads. So excited tohave you here. What's out, Kaitlin.
Welcome to Andy, Welcome to thesquad. So we've got a little
trip, a little road trip totake, So congratulations to her. Another
(12:41):
big name, you know, andI can't go through them all, but
Angel Rees from LSU was drafted seventhto Chicago. All right, second and
three things you need to know tHiggins. I wanted to pull this audio
free so you could hear it outof his mouth and not mine. My
brother texted me yesterday and said,oh my god, what is the tea
with Tea? So whoa. Ihad to do some research myself because I'm
(13:03):
not a huge stat person. Butafter four years in te Higgins's rookie contract,
he was supposed to hit his unrestrictedfree agency. The Bengals used the
franchise tag to keep him, andthen he went and requested a trade,
but then he ended up taking itback. Here he is yesterday. I
do anticipate it, you know, since he's If you couldn't hear it completely,
(13:28):
he said, I do anticipate stayingmy love for since he has grown.
I'm like, dude, same,it just sucks you in, So
I'm glad he's sticking around. Allright. Finally, and three things you
need to know this morning. ThisHannah Goutier is read case. Of course,
circling back to the Rust shooting trialhas come up in my show over
the last three years, like multiplemultiple times. Hannah Goutiera's Reid, who
(13:52):
is the armor erm convicted of manslaughterfor her role in Heylena Hutchinson's death,
will receive an eighteen month sentence behindbars, and she will serve her time
at a woman's correctional facility in thestate. No record, So eighteen months,
just to me doesn't seem like thata lot. I guess when you
(14:13):
stack it up against maybe a nonviolent drug crime, I don't think she'll
even end up doing the full eighteenBut when there's more on that one,
I'll have it for you because AlecBaldwin's trial is coming up in July.
All right. That is three thingsyou need to know for the sixteenth of
April, Happy Tuesday. Every Tuesdayat eight twenty. We do make a
date or break It's where you callin with whatever's going on in your relationships.
(14:35):
Newly married, that maybe just starteddating someone, you moved in with
them, maybe and you're like, this one thing is really really bothering me.
We will help you with that. Our licensed clinical counselor and a practicing
therapist, Lori sharp Page, comesin and here's you. I love getting
free help. Right if you've gota question, you're more than welcome to
shoot me at talkback a DM,or give me a call. That's coming
up at eight twenty, just oneor seven one. It's time to make
(14:58):
a date or break on TIF inthe morning, therapy and relationships come together
at eight twenty on Tuesdays on myshow. You'll decide whether or not you're
gonna make your next day or areyou gonna break it off? But we
don't ghost anymore, okay, SoI call it that and no question is
(15:18):
too weird or off the Richter scalefor a Lori's sharp Page. He's our
licensed clinical counselor and practicing therapists.Sometimes you want to go to your friends,
sometimes you want to stay as faraway from them as possible because you
feel you're gonna get judged, orit's too close to home, or maybe
you've repeated the same scenario over andover and over again, yet you're not
(15:39):
over it yet. Whether you're newlydating, you moved in a year ago,
you've been married for twenty five years, you come to us, you
can remain anonymous. I try tomake it easy as easy on you as
possible. Whatever you need so youcan shoot me a DM a talkback.
That's a great way to stay anonymous, or five win three seven, four,
nine, one oh seven one onLori Sharp is here and good morning.
(16:00):
We'll start with you. What opinionson the open relationship status like what
they do with themselves? Do theythink it would be toxic or do they
think that in not the longest run, it'll end up ruining the relationship and
total That is a really good question. Do you think that it leaves room
(16:22):
to ruin a relationship? I thinkit absolutely can. I think that it
really depends on the couple and thesituation at hand. I think if it
is entered into without a lot ofthought and reflection and communication, you are
not setting yourself up for success. But yeah, I have definitely seen this
successful for people they can grow theiremotional relationship while still allowing for a level
(16:45):
of openness. So I wouldn't sayit's automatically a toxic thing or automatically something
that's going to ruin your relationship. But I do think the level of care
that you take to really explore whetherit's for your relationship or not is essential
to determining that. Does that makesense, Yeah, Do you believe that
you can also have a very fulfillingrelationship with just two people? Yeah,
(17:08):
for sure, absolutely absolutely. AndI think for a lot of people that
open it up, they have chaptersin their relationship. You know, maybe
it was the two of them forten fifteen years they and then they open
something up to do something different,So I think that and then maybe close
it later on too. I meanthat's a possibility as well. I've seen
that with couples who have had opennessfor years and then have decided to close
(17:29):
it for whatever reason for their relationshipand the health and safety of their relationship.
So yeah, I am a believerthat it can go always in all
the different ways, but I alsothink that it really does come down to
the trust and communication piece. Doyou feel a certain way about any one
of these things that you're either lookingto try out or that you're like scared
(17:52):
to try out. Well, me, personally, I did it in the
past and it did it turn outgreat, run everything, So me personally,
I didn't have a great experience.I was just trying to see your
as output on that. Yeah,Lori's sharp page does a great job of
explaining how it could work. Buthonestly, Anonymous, if I'm putting if
he's you and I together right now, there's no way I would ever want
(18:15):
to open it up. But again, I'm not in a relationship right now.
But I think that's a really importantpoint because sometimes you have to kind
of experience something to know like, hey, this isn't for me. And
I also think that there's there's nothingwrong with monogamy. If you're a monogamous
person, lean into that love thatthat's amazing. So in your Anonymous,
(18:37):
would you make your next date orwould you break it off? I always
ask that at the end of theconversation on Tuesdays, I would definitely break
it all. All right, Well, thank you for opening up to us.
I really appreciate you, man,Thank you. I love I'm twenty
three years old, and I've beenlistening to y'all since I would like sick.
Do you feel like sharing your name? I called you anonymous because I
(18:57):
didn't want to give you away aboutit. I shout out to my name,
Connor Holbrook, Cincinnati. Conor, thank you for listening to the radio
every day. I appreciate you.I love you. Guys. You're waking
up with Tiff in the morning onKiss one O seven one. Hi,
you're on the air on ten.Do you have a key phrase for me?
Make it or break it? Congratulations? You are caller number ten and
(19:22):
you got the keyword. You're goingto COSI up in Columbus. I'm hearing
this Titanic exhibit is pretty cool.Oh, I'm so excited to go see
that. I cried yesterday, butI was only to call her one and
call her nine. Well, lookat you paying off. You've got good
luck. What is your name?By the way, what neighborhood you calling
me from? My name is JillLinda. I'm calling for Oxford. Well,
(19:44):
thank you for listening to Tiff inthe morning every day. I really
appreciate you, all right, Ilistened to every morning. Thank you,
Glynn. You need to know she'sgot you. It's three things with tiff
On. Let's take a second forChristina Aguilera on that one, how are
you or just before nine o'clock. And a reminder, because it's back as
(20:06):
of yesterday, pay your bills returnsat nine oh five year, chance at
that thousand bucks. And if warmweather equals credit card swipes for you,
I get it. I want youto be able to win. Let's start
off with Travis Scott Astro World twentytwenty one, November fifth. Ten people
had died due to that show.Remember that we've been talking about it for
(20:26):
years. Well, attorneys repping TravisScott were in court yesterday arguing he should
be dismissed from the case. QuoteTravis Scott remains devastated, heartbroken for the
tragedy that happened on November fifth, and they're saying his touring and production company
(20:49):
x EX Global Global should be dismissedfrom the case. They said that his
duties and responsibilities related to the festivalwere outlined as performing, curating talent for
the event, providing his own personalsecurity, and approving all creative matters involving
the festival, and that he hadnothing to do with security and potential safety
(21:11):
hazards. Curious on your take withthis. You know, Travis Scott's name
is on the festival, so hehas to be held accountable somewhere. Right.
Should he be charged criminally for thedeaths and inciting violence remember that was
a big thing back in twenty twentyone, rather where he just you know,
(21:32):
those those rages and ragers, ravesend up happening when he performs.
That's what he does. That's thetype of perform My mouth and teeth are
not making the connection here today.I'm so sorry because I know this is
a serious topic. I'm sorry.I think he should be held accountable somewhere,
maybe not criminally in the deaths, but somewhere. He's not the only
(21:53):
one that is up for this lawsuit. There are several promoters, security,
everyone is going to be involve this. But that just shows you the length
this is from twenty twenty one,we're now sitting in twenty twenty four.
That's how long these families have beenin these legal battles, and I really
feel for them. Anyone that's gonethrough a long legal battle knows how intense
this can be. And you justat one point, want to put it
(22:15):
to rest. What else was Igonna say? Oh yeah, that incident
went to change concerts for forever.Right, You now see Billie Eilish's a
good example of this. She likesto jump round have a good time,
but as soon as she sees someonethat needs help. I've seen this multiple
times where they will literally stop theshowdown and be like, this person needs
help. Second in three things youneed to know, Cincinnati pools, I
(22:38):
could have put my bathing suit onyesterday. Right, great news here.
I love this all. Twenty fourpools are set to reopen in Cincinnati,
most of them by Memorial Day weekend, some of them early June, and
the city has been recruiting lifeguards fora good solid year. This time last
year, we were one hundred lifeguardshort of opening pools, and I really
(23:02):
think we felt the side effects that. As somebody that uses Ziegler quite a
bit, I definitely noticed a difference. Now at this time, there are
only ten lifeguards short, which meansthere's room for a few more candidates.
But it looks like we're in goodshape. But I'm so glad. I
love our Cincinnati Parks Department and thepool system here. Ziegler is one of
(23:22):
my favorite places to go. Andby the way, I was a lifeguard
for the majority of my young adultlife. It's the best job ever.
So if you're like, oh mygod, what am I gonna do this
summer, I would highly highly recommendlooking into it all right? And finally,
three things you need to know thismorning A hard launch from Tate McCrae
and the Kid LAROI. When itcomes to their relationship, he's out on
(23:45):
tour right now. Ask is TateMcCrae, who, by the way,
is coming here in July. I'mwondering if she'll take and the Kid LaRoy
is coming here. I believe inJune both of them will be in Cincinnati.
I wonder if they'll support each otheranyway. She was sitting side stage
at his show and he made thisannnouncement during it in Doublint. Everybody in
here to sing this as loud asthey can because because my girlfriends is like
(24:07):
and I don't want to look onSo if you guys don't sing as loud
as you can, then wave thatis gonna embarrass me. I love that
for them. There's a lot ofnew budding Hollywood Romances. Right, we've
got Taylor and Travis. We've gotBarry Keyogan and Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McCrae
and the kid Larroy. So,by the way, if you want tickets
(24:29):
to either of those shows, they'reon our website right now. Just rut
in air. Just drop your namein the ring there. That is like
the secret hidden gem of our radiostation is our website. Go to the
contest page. All right is promisethat is three things you need to know
for the sixteenth of April. HappyTuesday, nine oh five ish is your
first chance of the day to winthat thousand bucks. Don't go anywhere.
(24:51):
It's time for Tuesday Tips on Tipin the morning. Yeah, every week
we get the inside track because Abbydoes all the research so we don't have
to. Nothing is better than whenyou want to get out of your house
but you don't feel like looking anythingup? Or am I the only one
that doesn't like to do the research? Hi? Abby? Hi? How
are you? I'm good? Youhave to promise me that everything we talk
(25:12):
about today at least has some sortof outdoor patio, because my brain has
gone there. Yes, yes,I've got something outdoors. I got something
spring related all the things. Sothis week is one of my favorite weeks
because I love to eat and Ilove a good deal, and it is
(25:33):
Cincinnati a Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week WHW. So what that means is there's all
kinds of participating restaurants where you canget meals for twenty six, thirty six,
or forty six dollars and these arethree course meals, and so it's
a really great opportunity to go andtry places that you've ever been, or
(25:56):
go and indulge in places that youlove. And this runs all week until
Sunday. I just love a deal. There's something about a deal that I'm
like, yes, sign me up. Okay, good. So you have
a couple of days. You haveat least a couple of days to get
at least one restaurant in Yeah, and there is like, I mean,
at least twenty of them, Ibelieve. So I was looking through the
list and I'm like, I wantto go there. I want to go
(26:18):
there. So definitely check that out. Love a great deal, love supporting
locals. Something else fun this weekis Cobblestone. They do this like for
Saint Patrick's Day, they do itfor Christmas. But this year they're doing
a brand new one for Springs andthey're doing a pop up, so they
literally will be transforming Cobblestone into whatI heard is just going to be like
(26:45):
flowers galore ooh I'm hearing TikTok andInstagram moments. Yeah, so that and
they have all these new Spring drinksand all that fun stuff. So that
actually is going to be launching thisweekend. And so I know when they
do the other one, it's evenhard to like get a reservation and get
(27:07):
in, So definitely check that out. They're also doing a free listening party
for the Tortured Poets Department by taylorsWith this Friday at eight pm. So,
I mean, listen to a littleTaylor have a little you know,
fun with your friends with some photosand all things. Dare I say,
Abby that I have completely forgotten TaylorSwift is announcing, I mean, is
(27:30):
releasing the album this week. Ifeel like that came up fast. Yeah.
Didn't she make the announcement at theGrammy? Was it the Grammy?
Yeah? Yeah, it was aram It was a Grammy. All I
see is Taylor and Travis all overmy social media it's kind of funny.
Wait, did you see by theway, you were front row? Real
(27:51):
quick? You were. I haven'thad a chance to talk to anyone about
this, you were front row.Like I was at the New Heights podcast
the other night. There was someoneon Twitter or that had said to them,
like, do you think it's appropriatefor Travis Kelce to drink at this
graduation? Do you see the tweet? Jason responded and was like, listen,
this was like a fun, kindof fake graduation thing, like it
(28:14):
did. I feel like he's gettinga lot of backlash for that because they
sprung that on them and Travis alreadyhad a beer in his hand, right,
So it's not like you went andlike opened a beer specifically for this.
And it was also like obviously nota formal graduation ceremony. It's supposed
to be like fun. So Ido think people are taking it out of
(28:37):
context for those that weren't there.I actually got to hang out with them
at Uncle Woodie's afterwards. Such asuch great guy. Still, so Jason
and Travis, I feel like neitherof them have changed. So yeah,
I support them all the way,and I definitely think that's been taken out
of context. Sure, and Travis. Travis is a grown man like he
(28:59):
