Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're waking up in the mornings one o seven one, Hi,
good morning, Good morning. We're gonna check in with my mom,
hopefully around seven o'clock she's gonna call. And you might say, why,
why why are we checking in with your mom? She
lives in Tampa, So I want to get an update
(00:21):
on how Hurricane Milting is real Milting Milton is affecting
the Tampa area. It feels like she's going to be
one of only maybe a dozen people still left in
that city. If you're connected with me on social you
might have seen a little clip of the video yesterday
I posted with her trying to convince her, Hey, you
need to get out of that area, and she's not leaving.
(00:44):
I think at minimum, she at least needs to find
a shelter. At minimum, the hurricane itself has shifted just slightly,
but Tampa is still in the cone there, and the
cone is what they call it, or that that un
certainty area with the winds at sustained over almost two
(01:04):
hundred miles an hour. It's hard to believe. I know,
and I don't really know. I had to I talked
to my therapist a little bit about it yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
On you know what am I.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
I don't know what to do. I don't know what
to do here in Cincinnati. If my mom won't leave Tampa,
that's her choice, that's her decision. She seems to be
okay with it. We're going to check in a little
bit more with her later though. At seven, I'm going
to have her call.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
I hadn't been able to really get in touch with
her over the last couple of days. That's mostly because
she is a boomer and does it know how to
use her Android phone.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
But other than that, we'll see, we'll see.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Thank you for all of your concerns and dms, and
I got some text messages. John John hit me up
last night, was like, what's going on here?
Speaker 4 (01:50):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
We'll find out more later on. If you can stick
around seven o'clock, I'd love to have you. And while
we're at it, three things you need to know.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
At six point.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Fifty, I'll have where the storm has shifted. If you
all so have family and friends in Florida that you're
keeping an eye on. We'll dive into that next. The
best way to keep listening to TIF in the morning
is on iHeartRadio. Just download it and search kiss one
oh seven one, Good morning.
Speaker 5 (02:11):
When you need to know she's got you. It's three
things with tiff On.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
We're just before seven o'clock on this Wednesday. It's been
pretty rinse and repeat for us. As far as weather goes,
we start in the fifties, where you need a little
jacket and a seat heater, and then by the time
you're on your way home, it's beautiful. It's sunny, it's warm,
temperatures are in the seventies, and that's going to be
the case for today, and if it changes, I'll keep
you posted. Now weatherwise, if you go down south towards Florida.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Things do not look good.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
So Hurricane Milton has now strengthened back to a category five. However,
the eye of the storm has shifted ever so slightly
towards Sarasota.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
What does this mean.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
I've been following it closely because my mother has decided
not to evacuate Tampa. Story for our seven o'clock hour,
the storm surge south of Sarasota will be higher than
what was predicted earlier for them. When you go south
of the storm, that's where the storm surge goes. Now,
(03:16):
Tampa's still very much in that cone, so they will
sustain winds close to two hundred miles an hour.
Speaker 6 (03:22):
Large portions of the Tampa Bay area are going to
be uninhabitable.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
You're not going to have power, you may not have
other essentials. It is just wild to think about.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
You know, the last real intense hurricane that hit there
was Ivan back in two.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Thousand and four.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Not to say that they haven't had hurricane damage and
since Maria and Erma and Felix and all the other
ones back in the twenties and the teens. But this
one is different, and it grew fast, and it's going
to come in real hot, expected to make landfall a
little later than predicted as well. We're going to see
it more so tonight going into tomorrow morning around three am.
(03:59):
The other big concern with this is that the damage
left over from Hurricane.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Helene is not completely cleared.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
You'll see streets in some areas lined with debris, which
could very much become weapons as this progresses. So we're
going to touch base with my mom later on at
seven o'clock. If you're around, I'd.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Love to have you. Second, and three things you need
to know.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
You know.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
The ditty updates won't stop. But this one here hurts
a little bit. And the sense that I would never
think a woman or man would lie about being sexually assaulted.
So you remember the story I told you a couple
of weeks ago about Dahlia Graves. Is her name sound familiar, right,
(04:44):
And how she had this really deep emotional confession. Her
lawyer's name is Gloria, and Gloria has been a lawyer
to you know, many many stars, etc. And she had
claimed this is the woman that had claimed that Diddy
had sexually assaulted her and then filmed it. She was
dating somebody at Bad Boy Records at the time. Is
this ringing any bells? Well, TMZ has found some text
(05:06):
exchange or has exposed some text exchange with her messaging
someone saying listen, I'll give you a cut of the
money if you corroborate my story.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Essentially not gonna.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Look good of course if it's a lie. But her
lawyer is still saying very much true, not a lie.
They're still going to fight their case, etc. But here's
the thing about Didy. At this point, lawyers are just
filed docs to try to get him out on bail.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
This is the third time.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Now I believe saying you know, he's not going to
be a flight risk, will provide documents of everyone who
visits him.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
No women are going to be allowed.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
And I'm just wondering if the judge at this third
time would potentially buy into that and give him the bail.
We'll see, I mean, when there's more on that one,
I'll keep you posted. Right now, Diddy is still at
mcd Brooklyn, all right, And then and three things you
need to know. You know, I hate when I have
(06:04):
to redact statements that I put out on the show. Yesterday,
I had reported because TMZ, which I try.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
I TMZ is.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Usually my go to for news in the celebrity world,
reported that there had been some rumors and allegations that
Bianca sen Sori and Kanye West were on the outs.
They hadn't been spotted together since September twentieth, and they
just saying things you were taking a turn after being
married for a couple of years. Well as of yesterday afternoon,
(06:36):
the hew come, there's footage in them circulating Japan having
the best day of the lives. It really looks like
all they do together is shop. They just go shopping.
They love to shop and go out to dinner, which
you know, honestly, who doesn't. So IM not sure. I'm
not sure what their relationship update is, but they were
out shopping around yesterday. That is three things you need
to know for the ninth of October. If you and
(06:58):
I are connected on social then or maybe even you
even caught the second half of yesterday's show.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
I had talked about how my mom is gonna stay put.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
She's staying put in Tampa, you know, even though I
don't agree with that, but she is gonna call the
show and give us an update of.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
What's actually going on in Tampa right now.
Speaker 4 (07:17):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (07:18):
Because we have what's going on with the news, but
what's going on with the people. She's gonna call us,
give us a heads up. Maybe we can convince her
to find a shelter and evacuate. I would really love that.
Best way to keep listenings on iHeartRadio search Kiss one
O seven one, especially if you also have family down there,
you know, friends or people down there. I know that
the bear Cats are supposed to play this Saturday against Orlando.
Right now, Orlando Airport is closing, Disney's closing Tampa Airport
(07:41):
closed yesterday. The bear Cats are gonna base their decision
on what the damage is, essentially, so we'll check in
with her. At seven twenty I had mentioned it. The
best way to lock in is on iHeartRadio and search
kiss one O seven one.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Good morning.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, kiss on Hi.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Good morning. I've got my mom on the phone.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
Before we get to her, I just want to I'll
show you into this conversation. Maybe you're joining us because
you saw this post on social media. I appreciate a
lot of the calls and text messages that I got
yesterday about my mom, who is in mandatory evacuation Zone
A in Tampa, Florida because of Hurricane Milton.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
At this point yesterday in the show.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
We hadn't I hadn't been able to get a hold
of her, mostly because she's a boomer and doesn't know
how to operate her Android phone, but super concerned about
her well being and safety and what's going on there.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Good morning, Mom, So tell me what the what the
what's the latest? What are you seeing? What's going on
with the people around you? Good morning?
Speaker 7 (08:53):
Well, it appears that every hour things do change. And
it seems that from recent like ten minutes ago, that
it's like south south of Tampa.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Are you so are you not evacuating? I think that
that's the biggest question here that Cincinnatians want to know.
Speaker 7 (09:18):
We have an option, if necessary, to go to it's
east of Tampa. The town is called Riverview.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Okay, So what's your plan on going there? Are you
going to go now?
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Are you going to wait until the winds are really
high and you can't move, or what's your plan?
Speaker 7 (09:36):
I certainly wouldn't do that and expected that this landfall
won't be until like two a m. So if we
have to, we would probably leave around lunchot.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Okay, So talk about a little bit about what we
here in Sinci. The news that we're seeing is that
stations have run out of gas and that there's still
a ton of debris left over from Hurricane Helen. Since
you're in Tampa, what are you experiencing? Is there gas
that's gone?
Speaker 2 (10:10):
What's going on there?
Speaker 7 (10:12):
They they're not. There is some stations that are out,
but according to government descend that there's plenty on the way.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
But the gas station right by your house near that ikea,
did they run out of gas.
Speaker 7 (10:29):
I don't know if that one.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Okay, what are the.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Grocery stores like, have you guys gone to the grocery
stores as Public's completely empty?
Speaker 8 (10:38):
No?
Speaker 7 (10:38):
No, there's those some major chains like Walmart and Public
are you know pretty well? They because of Helene. They
you know, they were up keeping up with the but
not expecting this to happen.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
So you guys are super close to the highway, can
you can you see? Is there a ton of traffic?
Speaker 7 (11:04):
Not today, there's pretty well gotten where they want to go.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Is your neighborhood kind of eerily quiet? Is it super
quiet in Tampa?
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (11:19):
Yes, those who decided to leave left two days ago,
and those that are here where you know, we're not
planning on having to go anywhere because we live on
a relatively high spot. Our home is up It's not
(11:41):
directly in line with the street. It's like five six
maybe higher up on us, not a hill.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
I just get worried about you because that that's you
have no idea how quickly this thing is going to
move and what the storm. They're saying that this is
the one of the most destructive storms to hit that
direct area in a really long time, and so I
know you're an expert, you've lived in Florida for two decades,
but this just seems really bad.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
I mean, I'm happy that you have a plan to
get out of there, but you just don't know.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
You're not very mobile, mom, so you can't get trapped
somewhere where there's going to be flooding, potentially, where there's
gonna be no power, there's no cell service.
Speaker 7 (12:23):
You know.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
We just I won't be able to sleep tonight or
tomorrow if I can't get a hold of you, knowing
that you just decided to hide in your bathroom.
Speaker 8 (12:34):
I know.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Okay, Well I feel a little bit better this morning.
Why don't you call us back tomorrow at seven so
that we have an update as to you know, what's
really going on in what area you're in.
Speaker 7 (12:45):
We will do that. And yeah, well, you know, well aware, you.
Speaker 8 (12:51):
Know, the the h the authorities that come by, and they,
you know, have warned us this is a you know,
mandatory you know, you just want you you can get
out and just basic questions and just checking on.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yeah, that's that's a good point.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
So the authorities have come by because you're in a
mandatory evacuation a zone. Have they because they've said, like,
you're if you stay there, you're going to be screwed.
There's no one coming for you if this gets as
bad as they plan. What did you say back to.
Speaker 7 (13:24):
Them, We're well aware that we have a tentative option
to options, so that we we could definitely take those
folks up on.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
So we'll be.
Speaker 7 (13:38):
We'll be, And our judgment is, you know, we're not handicap,
you know, to that extent, you know, like we're not
idiots that you know taking right?
Speaker 5 (13:52):
Are you sure?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Are you sure?
Speaker 9 (13:54):
Mom?
Speaker 7 (13:55):
We don't want to be heroes. We just want to
be sensible.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Well, when are we going to hear from you next?
Speaker 7 (14:02):
I can try and let you know tomorrow what the
status is around here, all right, because in between twelve
and two am, that's when this thing, wherever it lands,
it's going to make landfall.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Okay, Well, don't leave the rest of us here, you know,
worrying about you. We'll hear from you tomorrow. I mean
I'll hear from you personally later on today. Please answer
your damn text messages.
Speaker 7 (14:27):
Oh okay, got cha?
Speaker 5 (14:31):
Thank you, love you, We love you, school, We love
you tooe. Don't worry. We'll be all right when you
need to know, She's got you. It's three things. Hey,
good morning.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
We're just before eight o'clock on this Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
How's your going to be?
Speaker 1 (14:52):
In the seventies with lots of sunshine, pretty much a
repeat of yesterday, and then we'll see a little bit
of cloud cover kind of moving.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
For the back half of the week.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
We've got updates on that fatal helicopter crash in Owen County, Kentucky,
about ninety minutes from here. I talked about this yesterday.
The medical helicopter is believed to have struck a guy
wire and that's what caused it to crash and tragically
losing three lives. The NTSB is still investigating it. Second
(15:23):
in three things you need to know this morning, if
you were a fan of bratt Girls summer and you
saw that green album cover pretty much everywhere you went.
At one point they turned it into so many the
internet just took off with it. Where do you think
a really cool idea like that came from.
Speaker 10 (15:41):
Well, first idea of doing a text cover came from
was to save money, because I was like, this album
is not going to appeal to a lot of people.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
So three hundred thousand dollars. Photo shoots ain't on the books.
Speaker 10 (15:58):
Yeah, literally, That's why I was like, I think, like
I will do like a press shoot and then maybe
we just like save on the album cover.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Well, isn't that funny? For that was the voice of
Zane Loan, By the way. The it's always the ideas
that you spend no time on, no energy, no effort
that blow up like that. She wanted to save money,
so she's like, yeah, I'll make it a slime green
and write the word brat on it and look at
what it ended up turning into is massive. And then
(16:30):
the idea is that you spent a lot of time, money,
and energy and effort on, they'll nearly do as well.
A good example of that is you know the song
I Love It with Icona Pop. Charlie XCX, who sings
wrote that in thirty seconds, I.
Speaker 11 (16:43):
Got this feeling on the summer day when.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
You gone crush my car.
Speaker 12 (16:47):
Into the bridge.
Speaker 11 (16:50):
I thump into it, pushed it down this I crushed
my car into the bridge.
Speaker 12 (16:56):
I don't care.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Yeah, man, that's what Icona Pop.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
If you want to search that one later, it HiT's
funny story about that song at the former radio station
I worked for back in Boston. The summer concert that
we put on that year was probably twenty thirteen or
fourteen when that song came out. They brought Icona Pop
to the pre party that we had and they performed
that song. And I had had so many beverages. Once
(17:24):
they started performing it, I just lost it and went
up on stage and started singing it with them.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
And I'm sure they loved it.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
You know.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
I loved it.
Speaker 11 (17:35):
Into a bag and pushed it, brushed my car into
the bridge. I don't care.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
I'm going to use this from now on for the
rest of the show. Tiff, you're running a little late today.
You didn't answer that email that I'm circling back on CA.
Oh okay, great, where are we going with this? The
third and three things you need to know this morning?
(18:07):
Kelly Clarkson. We know, does Kelly oke before every episode? Okay,
she decided to do My Heart will go On from
the Titanic. Here's a little clip. I mean, no one
(18:36):
does it better than miss Selene, but Kelly Clarkson very
close second. In fact, Selene Dion did go on social
and leave her a little video.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
Oh I just saw you singing my heart will go
on and I'm crying again. You were.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
Absolutely incredible, fantastic. I love that so much. Me too, girl.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
I'm just thinking of her and that all white ouphant
up on the Eiffel Tower during opening ceremonies for the
Olympics this year. All right, coming up at eight twenty,
we are gonna do one of my favorite things on
this show, absolute favorite.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
We talk about your roommate stories. Could be your neighbor.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
Maybe it depends depends on what stage of life you're in.
If you're a roommate now that we're almost a full
you know, two months, three months into college.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
You see Xavier.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
If you've got a story about a roommate, I want
to hear from you. Maybe you've got a crazy neighbor
that's got a twelve foot skeleton up and you just
don't like it. Whatever the case may be, talk back
with Tiff on iHeart Radio. You'll see the microphone next
to the play button. To get in on it, early
early action, get your voice hurd on the radio. Okay,
the best way to listen to us is on iHeartRadio.
(19:51):
When you search kiss one oh seven one, and you'll
see the microphone next to the play button to talk
back and here we go, bag ooh, I love that song,
such a vibe. Has anyone done a wellness update on Drake?
Feel like as a team we should do a drive
(20:12):
by wellness update on him. I saw some video circulating
from this weekend. Looked a tad sad, a tad sad Kendrick.
Kendrick's probably got some real estate in Drake's head. We're
commercial free though, for the rest of the hour. You're
waking up with Tip in the morning on Kissuan oh
seven one. I was in tears starting to check your
(20:33):
talkbacks on your roommate stories. It's my favorite thing we
do on the show. We just kind of pick a
random time every once in a while and just do
really a wellness update on you and your roommates. Also
could be a neighbor story as well, just depends on
what stage of life you're in.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Here's what we're going to lead off with.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
Hello, My crazy roommate situation is my freshman roommate was
very afraid of gaining the freshman fifteen, so she would
weigh her breasts on a side gale that was at
the foot of my bed, so it'd wake up in
the morning, and she'd be weighing her breasts and then
she would deduct that from her overall total weight.
Speaker 2 (21:09):
YEP, great way to wake up.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
An tears.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
I loved and still to this day love my college roommate.
We were put together as freshmen at random. We were
both athletes. I played field hockey and she played soccer.
And I had to have been the biggest weirdo. I mean,
if you listen to the show, you could tell I'm
probably a.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Little bit of a weirdo. But we got along great.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
I never weighed my breasts though at the end of
her bed should add that to the list. All right,
get in on it. Thank you for the talk back
with Tiff. That's the first way you can get involved.
If you don't feel like calling, you'll see the microphone
next to the play. But when you search kiss on iHeartRadio,
it's a great way to listen to our music but
also engage in our content and conversation. Or you can
call went three seven four nine one O seven one.
(22:02):
We'll share more of yours.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Next two songs from them.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
In the morning, they did what It's Time to Move Out? Kiss?
What O seven to one?
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Who it is?
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Time to move out. We do this every once in
a while.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
So one of my favorite things we do is you'll
check in on your roommate stories or your neighbor stories.
It kind of just depends on what phase of life here.
And we're gonna lead off with our talkbacks. It's one
way to get involved. You search kiss on iHeartRadio. You'll
see the microphone next to the play button. You hold
that down and you have thirty seconds to leave me
a voice node or talk.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Back with Tiff on what's going on?
Speaker 5 (22:40):
Hey there?
Speaker 13 (22:41):
So I'm chiming in in the bad roommate. So my
freshman year in college, we were in a triple and
one of my roommates very cool. My other roommate was
sixteen and super young, and my dear lord had no clue.
First time away from home, like living on our own
(23:01):
was socially awkward and I used to sleep on the
weekends across the hall on the floor just to get.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
Away from her.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Okay, I have more questions.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Thank you for the talkback with Tiff, But why was
she sixteen going to college? I know it has a
lot to do with birthdays and my best friend Ashley
was It felt like the youngest in our class. She
didn't turn twenty one until almost second semester. Actually yeah,
it was second semester of our senior year. But sixteen
(23:32):
feels really really young. What's going on in that household?
What kind of ap classes was she taken?
Speaker 4 (23:39):
Hello, my crazy roommate situation is my freshman roommate was
very afraid of gaining the freshman fifteen.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
So she would weigh her breasts on a scale that
was at the foot of my bed, so I would
wake up in the morning and she'd be weighing her
breasts and then she would deduct that from her overall
total weight. Yep, way to wake up.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
I love that one so much I wanted to play
it again.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
It reminds me back to my freshman year roommate, and
actually we lived together for all four years.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
We're still best friends to this day.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
But my god, she probably was terrified when she found
out she was gonna live with me, so I was.
I played field hockey, she played soccer. We got to
school very early in preseason. I graduated from a school
called Lasell University just outside of Boston and the suburbs
there in Newton, mass and when you get the piece
of paper in the summer and you have.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
To let me know if this is still the way
it goes.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
It says you who your roommate is, where they're from,
in some sort of contact information, and their social media
if you so choose. At that point in my life,
I hadn't started any social media.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
I was wickedly to the social media game.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
So when she well, I got the piece of paper,
it said her name, Elizabeth McGoey, Doylestown, Pennsylvania, her social handle,
all the wa I could contact her, her email, et cetera.
And then underneath my name it just said Tiffany Potter
with like a phone number. I said, oh my god,
this girl is gonna think I'm some weirdo Central mass
(25:13):
horse girl.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
I need to call her. So I called her. I'm
like Elizabeth, She's like, oh god.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
So we eventually moved in together, but became became best
friends immediately. I mean, I was probably a real big weirdo,
but she, she and I we had the best experience.
I think college roommates end up being like some of
your best friends, even if they're not the ones that
you meet right away, and they're the ones that you
eventually come to live with the best.
Speaker 2 (25:39):
It's the best.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
Hello, my crazy room situation.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
No, we already heard about the breast. I love the
breast one. We got to move on from that one.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Here's this one.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
I lived with roommates from twenty sixteen until twenty twenty two, and.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Now I live alone and it's possibly the best thing ever.
And I can barely afford it. But I don't think
I could live with someone again.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Yeah, once you go to no roommate, man, it is
really hard to go back to having roommates. I can imagine.
You'll have to let me know if you're a part
of that. We haven't heard about any crazy neighbors yet
this morning. If you want to get involved in the conversation,
five win, three seven.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
Four nine, one oh seven one. I'd love to have you.
I'd love it so much.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
And she'd be weighing her breast and then she would
deduct that from her overall total weight.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Nellie was in Sincy twice this past summer.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
It's odd to say past summer, you know, but we're
at that point where we're just cruising in the fall.
You're waking up with tip in the morning on Kissuanos
to have a one commercial free for a little bit longer.
We're in the midst of talking about your bad roommate
and or neighbors stories. It's one of my favorite things
that we do, and we've got time for at least
one more talkback.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
My badroommate story.
Speaker 14 (26:56):
When I was in college, my friend and I decided
we were going to get an apartment together.
Speaker 7 (27:00):
So we found one.
Speaker 14 (27:02):
We were getting ready to move in. I was leaving
for the summer, but I knew i'd be back, so
she moved in first and I was gonna move in
when I got back. When I got back, it gave
her a call. She told me unfortunately I could not
move in because she found out she was pregnant, so
I was left without an apartment.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Have a great day, oh girl, Thank you for the
Talkbacklet's if it looks like it sounds like she enjoyed
her brat girl summer. It's a little too much, hipsies,
thank you for contributing. It's always great to hear your
voice too, so you're more than welcome to chime in.
Coming up two songs from now. Imagine we talk a
lot about cleaning out our parents' houses or grandparents' basements, etc.
(27:41):
Since I've kind of been on that trend since Labor
Day and cleaning out my dad's house. Imagine finding love
letters from a famous Cincinnati athlete that were written to
your grandmother.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
We're gonna talk about that two songs from now.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
You're waking up with Fifth in the morning. Kiss Hi,
good morning. Imagine finding letters written to your grandma from
a famous Cincinnati and world athlete. We've been talking a
little bit about this stuff kind of it since Labor Day. Honestly,
(28:22):
when I went and moved, not moved, but helped my
dad clean out the hoarder house. You remember seeing all
those videos on social media, So it's come up a bit.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Ever since then.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
I've gotten tidbits here and there of things that people
have found in their parents' houses or in their grandparents' basements,
et cetera. If you have anything, I don't know if
we'll get any more now, but definitely either message me
or talk back with Tim.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
The other day I had on a memorabilia expert.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
You remember this guy came on and talked about if
you find Pete Rose baseball cards, if you have them
where you find them. Later on when you're cleaning out
your family's house. How much is that worth?
Speaker 3 (28:58):
Right?
Speaker 2 (28:58):
What does all that stuff work?
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Signed memorabilia, baseball's game, used uniforms, all this stuff that
you might find of Pete Rose's how much is it worth?
Baseball cards if they're in top condition, can.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Go for a million for Pete Rose card.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
By the way, you can get caught up on the podcast,
it's like an eight minute interview at some point. Just
search Tiff in the morning if you want to know
more about that. While we were talking about it, I
got to talk back that this woman had found these
cool letters from Pete Rose to her grandmother.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
My badroommate story. No no no, no no no sorry
sorry sor sor sorry. So we just did roommates. It's
this one.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
My grandma dated Pete Rose back in the day, like
decades ago, and she has love letters from him with
his signature, and I've always wondered if those would be
worth anything. You know, it's kind of more like a
sentimental thing, but I still think.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
It's pretty cool, very cool, very very very cool.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
I wonder when you know, Pete Rose was like back
in the today, God Rest his soul. Scandalous letters are
a big thing back then. You know who loves to
talk about their letters is Jada Pinkett. She loves having
letters from Tuhawk.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Shikor when you need to know, she's got you.
Speaker 5 (30:21):
It's three things with tip on kiss when I was
seven one.
Speaker 6 (30:24):
Large portions of the Tampa Bay area are going to
be uninhabitable. You're not going to have power, you may
not have other essential all right.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
The update in the latest on Hurricane Milton. It has
restrengthened and went from five to four back up to five.
Some things have shifted though, the timeline being the first.
It's set to make landfall later tonight into tomorrow around
three am. So when you come into work tomorrow at
this time, I will have the updates for you. It's
(30:55):
also very it's moving very very quickly, and the eye
has shift did a little bit further south into Florida.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
We're talking more so.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Of Sarasota, which means the storm surge has also shifted south.
If you didn't know this, the storm surge typically is
south of the hurricane. Now Tampa is so very much
in the cone is what they call it of significant
damage due to winds and the fact that they're supposed
to see some significant rain from this. It's already raining now.
(31:24):
I talked to my mom earlier on the show. By
the way, an update on whether or not she's evacuating.
You'll see you can get caught up on the podcast
and such. But yes, she did make a plan, so
thank god. She was telling us a little bit about
the gas in the groceries, etc. So definitely worth getting
caught up on if you're nervous about family, friends, or
just in general what is actually happening in Tampa. The
(31:45):
other major concern is the damage in the debris from
Hurricane Helene and where that falls, and you know it
could be weaponized due to the high winds.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
So I will definitely keep you posting.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
Second in three things you need to know this morning,
jennif sure, who we know as Pam of course from
the office, posted an update this morning or this might
have been yesterday afternoon on a battle with breast cancer.
Let me read a quote for you since it is
Breast cancer Awareness month. Back in October of twenty twenty three,
(32:16):
I posted a photo of myself on Instagram peppering for
my routine mammogram with a joking reminder to take care
of your ticking time bags a La Michael Scott. After
inconclusive results on that mammogram due to dense breast tissue,
my doctor ordered a breast ultrasound.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
They found something in my left breast. A biopsy was ordered.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Then on December one, twenty twenty three, I learned I
had stage one triple positive breast cancer. She had reported
that she's breast cancer free after chemotherapy, etc. But it
is a great reminder to ladies, know your body and
advocate for yourself, all right.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
And then lastly, in.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Three things you need to know, This morning, a major
announcement out of our hometown, Guys nine degrees announced that
not only do they have a new single coming in
November a new album in January, but they're also going
out on tour. You know, I'm trying to give them
(33:27):
the benny of the doubt that there'll be more dates
added to this, but not one date it falls in Cincinnati.
I'm like, come on, come on, I'm like I said,
giving benny of the doubt.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Here.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
Their first date kicks off October sixteenth in Texas. Some
accolades for ninety eight degrees. If you're like, give it
to me. They were obviously Grammy nominated, Teen Choice nominated,
Billboard nominated. They have eight Top forty singles in the US,
ten Top Billboard Pop hits, including because of You and
Then and certified singles. They have ninety Because of You
(34:05):
is also certified platinum, and they have gold record status
on Invisible Man, which achieved that back in nineteen ninety seven.
Ninety eight Degrees has sold over fifteen million albums.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
All right, that is three things you need to know
for the ninth of October.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
Coming up at nine oh five, your first chance of
the day to score an extra thousand bucks. I'm sure
it'll come in handy as we enter the back half
of the year. And on top of that, it also
comes with a free trip to our iHeartRadio jingle Ball
in New York this December, starring Katy Perry.
Speaker 5 (34:36):
You're waking up with Fifth in the morning.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Just Hi, good morning, good morning.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
It's my goal to get you out the house, off
the apps, on off the couch. Netflix is still okay
as long as it's you know, nighttime or you need
a day to recover, but just in general, trying to
give you as many activities that I think that you
would enjoy for the fall season or even heading into
the tiffmus season towards the Hu holiday. So today we're
gonna chat with Jamie and Amy, who are co founders
(35:04):
at Charm at the Farm. Hi, good morning, Hi, good morning,
welcome to Tip in the morning. You guys are first
time or so far? How's the experience?
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Love it? Okay? Great? You know I'm not a first
time or at Charm.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
So I can't wait for you guys to kind of
give us like the essence and a couple of words
of what Charm is like.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
But it's happening next weekend in Sinsing.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
It's the final weekend to get in on the Charm
experience before it wraps up. If it's eight season, someone
listening right now, that's like, Actually, I would really love.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
A trip out of the city. I want to put
my feet in some grass.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
I could use an Applesider donut or pick up my
latest Christmas decoration to put in my house. How would
you describe Charm because I don't know if I am
capable of it.
Speaker 12 (35:48):
So I think it's in Lebanon, Ohio. So, like you said,
little a little bit of a jaunt, but just think
of an old horse farm. So it's like fifty six
acres of beautiful like the tree will be changing colors.
So it's like this ambiance of just being outside and
join the beautiful fall weather, and it's the perfect opportunity
to get your Christmas on.
Speaker 1 (36:09):
It's also the perfect opportunity to let your horse girl
dreams come true if you're on a fifty acre horse farm.
Speaker 12 (36:15):
Well, yeah, I mean we've got girls that dress to
the nines like it's it's actually awesome. You know, they've
got their boots, they've got their like their fall coats,
their hats.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
I mean they're ready to go. It's like it's yeah,
shackets galore. It's a time for you to obviously take pictures,
et cetera.
Speaker 1 (36:32):
But there's so many unique local Ohio and Tri State
people probably also come in from everywhere to help support
local businesses. Jamie, what is your like, what's one booth
that you should I'm looking forward to. Let's come next weekend.
Speaker 9 (36:48):
I mean we don't pick any bad vendors, so yeah,
you're gonna find lots that you like, like from clothing
to repurpose furniture or handmade what in items or what
I like deck uniuation, gifts, unique things, skincare, there's really everything.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
They're really you know that you bring it up. I
remember there was a perfume there when I went last time. Amy,
do you have one that it's your go to?
Speaker 3 (37:20):
Oh?
Speaker 12 (37:21):
I So my vintage heart loves all the vintage vendors
that we have. I like unique gifts too, like something
that nobody else will have. So whether it's a handmade
thing or whether it's just a cool vintage piece, a
furniture piece or whatever.
Speaker 2 (37:37):
That's where my heart goes first. But I also love
a good you know, jean jacket or jewelry or anything
like that. So you do a lot of buying for yourself,
not necessarily it's the one for you, one for me.
That's what I like to do when I Christmas shop.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Before I get your advice, just if you, just in
case you don't know. Charm at the Farm is a
three day event. There's vip to It's on sale now
for the Friday day and then you can go back
a couple of days at a time.
Speaker 2 (38:04):
I only went the one day and that was fine.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
Do you have any tips and advice on navigating this
fifty eight fifty acre horse farm or girl dreams.
Speaker 12 (38:13):
So Friday night we kind of created as like the
girls' night out right, So you get a drink and
what was it, Jamie, It was the Spikes. Yeah, so
you get that free all the deals and vendor discounts
come Friday night and then, like I said, it was
a three day pass, so you can come back with
(38:33):
the husband or the boyfriend to pick up the heavier
stuff your car insane.
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Yeah, And that's what we see all the time.
Speaker 12 (38:41):
Like they'll come Friday night and they'll just shop and
they'll it's more like their eye shopping, so they'll look
around at everything, and then they come back Saturday or
Sunday and buy all the bigger things with the truck
and fill it and then go home.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
How many guys are miserable at this farm? Well, you
do have beer standing around having their drink or sitting
on a bench wading a lot of.
Speaker 12 (39:08):
It's not as much for the guys, although we do
have really good food trucks and so like our husbands
are big fans of our food trucks.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
I'm glad you brought that up.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
Yeah, you know, listen, if you're like, if you're a
raid done, girly, I'm sure there's something there for you.
I am not a raid done girly and I did
find so many interesting things. And you know, my one
of my favorites was the girl that owns the plant
school bus.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
Oh yeah, that was cool. And so there's lots of
great things.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
And of course if you want to get out of
the house, off the apps, outside taking in the fresh air,
having yourself a dona, now this will be there'll be
some fall here. But also this is a great rate
way to start for prepping for the holiday season. So
charm at the farmers where we go to buy tickets.
If you're a visual person, you can also check out
their socialists well to get some more horse girl vibes.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Absolutely
