(00:00):
It's time to make a date orbreak on TIF in the morning. This
is where our therapy and relationships cometogether on my show with Lori sharp Page.
She's our licensed clinical counselor and answersyour questions and Lourie, I feel
like the person that I'm talking toright now has a wife and four kids.

(00:22):
You know that spidey sense that youget that's just something else is going
on. Has this come up inyour office? Am I alone in this
well? First of all? Fourkids? Is quite a specific sighty sense,
So I would be really paying attentionto that. I think anytime,
I mean, you got your intuitionsup, and I think your intuition's really
important to listen to in relationships.Unfortunately, most of the time, when

(00:45):
your intuition is kind of triggered likethat, usually there's something going on.
So I think it's really important topay attention to. But here's the thing.
If somebody can present themselves to youin one way and completely field off
another area of their life like that, that person's emotionally unavailable. Regardless of

(01:07):
if that's a good fit for youor not. They're emotionally unavailable because they're
able to completely close a part ofthemselves off to you, and you really
need to think about how that's goingto impact you and if that's a healthy
dynamic for you to be around.Well, we'd like to think that if
anyone realized that the person they weretalking to had a completely double life,
which you think is kind of crazy. In fact, I'm going to put

(01:30):
on our phone number five win threeseven four nine one oh seven one if
this has actually happened to you.I just have a little bit of a
spidy sense that the guy that Imet a couple of weeks ago who lives
in Indianapolis is weird when it comesto texting. I feel like he only
hits me up on certain times. Now, again, I could be reading
into this, but a spidey sensein me is like, wait a minute,
Wait a minute, does this manhave a completely separate life? Is

(01:52):
he living two lives right now?Which I'm not emotionally invested in enough to
call him out on it, LikeI'd rather just kind of like let it
fizzle out on feel like we oweeach other anything in that sense. I
don't think it's like a ghosting situation. But if somebody is sensing that right
now, would you recommend them tryingto get to the bottom of it,
or how would you navigate that?Well, I think you're doing it perfectly.

(02:15):
I think you need to assess howmuch of your own emotional availability is
wrapped up in this. If itisn't a big engagement to you, I
think that you don't need to diginto it, because ultimately this is about
them and what they're doing with theirlife, and it's not for you to
kind of do anybody else's work forthem. Also, there's no point in

(02:36):
really you getting involved if you arenot interested to do so. So I
think this is an important thing topay attention to your intuition. But no,
I would, I would I wouldskip out of that if if it
were if it were me, okay, and just for anyone that's listening in
their car right now or at homeand they're like, okay, but I
am kind of invested in this person, and it's just a suspicion that I

(02:59):
have. Should they get to thebottom of it, and if so,
what would you tell them? So? I would tell them to cautiously try
and get more information, some moredata in a way that feels good to
them to do. But I wouldbe leary about how much time and energy
I was investing into this, becauseagain, I'm not sure that the outcome

(03:21):
is what is what we had hoped. If someone is trying to hide a
big part of their lives like that, well you know what Megan Fox always
says on this situation. Just learna skill or develop a hobby, and
do not waste your energy on boys. LORI sharp page. Make a date
