(00:00):
You're waking up. Good morning. We're gonna talk everything that have beened inside
Fifth Third Arena last night for thelive recording of the New Heights podcast with
Jason and Travis Kelce. You mighthave seen my Instagram story and click the
link to listen right now. Andif that's the case, Hi, good
morning, Thank you for doing that. I'm really excited that you're here.
(00:23):
To keep myself from rambling. I'mjust gonna break down how we're gonna do
this. All right, we'll talkabout the pre the games, and then
the podcast. You might have comehere simply to find out whether or not
Taylor Swift is in the building, and I'm just gonna save you the time
right now. She did not comeout last night. Now there's a special
(00:44):
place in hell for those that startTaylor Swift rumors, and that is for
my best friend Sarah down Mahall atWEBN because we were there together and she
had gotten some text messages saying thatTaylor Swift was in the building. Of
course I was, so I stayeduntil the very end. And if you
listen to my show before, youknow that I typically try to dip before
traffic gets bad. I was lockedin until the entire time. It's the
(01:07):
Taylor Swift effect. I'll save youright now. Was not there, did
not come out. Now that's notto say that she wasn't in Cincinnati,
because I've seen some things circulating aroundthat she know she was here, she
was there, she was not.I don't have any evidence of that.
So if you have proof, youknow where to go, you know where
to find me right here, sothat we can get that out to the
people. But I, as ofright now, have no evidence that Taylor
(01:29):
Swift was anywhere near where I waslast night inside Fifth Third Arena. All
right, let's chit chat quickly aboutthe execution of this thing. I have
to just say shout out to UCmoving that from Nippert Stadium into Fifth Third.
From my point of view, seemedlike it was flawless execution. And
everyone in that building was so so, so so so nice. Everyone was
(01:52):
super helpful, even though they probablydidn't have a ton of information, but
everyone was really really nice, Sothank you to them. It was broken
down into like three or four parts. Right doors opened at five, there's
video footage of Donna Kelce passing outsubway sandwiches. Fast forward to seven o'clock
was the Limbaby Games, and guys, this thing was lengthy. Started at
seven, didn't end until almost eightforty five. There had to have been
(02:13):
at least like ten different races forthis nerds versus athletes. The one standout
moment, though, that everyone's goingto be talking about is this Skyline Chili
cheese cony race. Now, ifyou've listened before, you know that it
had been five years since I hadhad any Cincinnati chili, right, It
had taken me a while to committo doing this. Last night they did
(02:35):
a cheese cony race where there weretwo girls, one on each team,
that had to choke down three cheesecony's and relay in between. I'm not
kidding. It took them several minutesto get these dogs down. They couldn't
do it. They were visibly gaggingon the jumbo dron. You had to
eat one run, eat one run, eat one around. It was the
(02:58):
first cony. We were there forlike fifteen minutes watching these girls choke down
a dog. Come to find out, I wish I had this on video.
Jason and Kelsey had said, youknow what was the strategy on there?
Neither one of those girls had everhad skyline in their life. Now
as somebody that's never had it either, I was like, Wow, imagine
your first time being in a relaylace at the Lumbaby Games in front of
(03:21):
Jason and Travis Kelsey. That waspretty funny. If you fast forward a
little bit further into the show, the podcast happened and Desmond Ritter came out
for mer you see Bearcat. Thatwas cool. Talked for a little while.
They also brought out Orlando Brown Junior, who was a former Kansas City
player obviously now plays for the Bengals, and then the crowd went absolutely insane
(03:43):
when Jason Kelcey rattled off Joe Burrow'snames, which I also don't have an
audio, but I do have himright here talking about what it's like to
play under coach Taylor and just whatthe vibe is in the locker room.
I think, guess where it startsis, you know, our relationship just
within the locker room. I thinkthat's what makes what we do great.
(04:04):
And I don't think you can havethe kind of the success that we've had,
and you guys are kind of onthe field if you don't have those
relationships in the locker room. Laststands LEAs on the field. If you
have complete note of trust and yourcoaching staff and all the players that you're
playing with, you know you're gonnago out there and play free and trust.
Everybody's gonna do what they do andgo out and make plays plays.
(04:27):
You know what I noticed about guyswho play football, They love to use
first and last names. I meanthose formats that were there. They just
kept being like buck up first andlast, first and last, first and
last, like all these different shoutoutsand people that I didn't know, they're
most likely people that in the crowdthat knew them, maybe former players and
such. It had me giggling.Though they also, you know, of
(04:47):
course talked locker room talked Bengals stuff. They asked Joe Burrow about his time
at LSU and leaving Ohio State. Here he is talking about his first moments
down at LSU. I like Crawfish, and I like, I like crawfis
before I went down, And Imean I get to my visit and we
(05:08):
go to a restaurant that doesn't haveany prophets. I'm like coacho. I
got against the profits and the orderslike thirty pounds of profiss, they come
there, they boil it on thespot and he started. So the entire
podcast probably lasted a good hour inthirty five to forty minutes, and I
(05:28):
was like, all right, thisthing, I'm sorry, this thing goes
until about ten o'clock or eleven o'clock. Rather, what else is going to
happen here? That's the moments wherethe crowd is certain stir of whether or
not Taylor was going to pop outand show up. What it ended up
being was Jason and Travis walking thestage in a graduation ceremony, something I
(05:48):
didn't know that they had never walkedin either of their grad ceremonies. So
the athletic director came out, I'msure the Dina students came out, and
they did this entire graduation ceremony.I'm talking like cap and gowns. This
is what's posted on social media. In fact, if you were there,
last name, I want to openit up. Maybe this is something that
I've missed. If you want tocall your mother, welcome to five win
(06:10):
three seven four nine one oh sevenone, or or if it is easier
for you to leave me a talkbag, search kiss one oh seven one
on the iheard app. You'll seethe microphone next to the play butt and
you can hold that down for thirtyseconds of free rain on the radio on
this Friday. If you're more ofa visual person, I promise those are
going to start going up at Kissone oh seven. But radio had to
eat first this morning, all right, Tip in the morning was eating here
(06:31):
