Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're waking up with fifth in the morning, I kiss
on good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I've been practicing this woman's voice for the last two songs. Hi,
this will ultimately end us having a conversation about things
you have spent money on that you couldn't afford. Somehow
you made it work and you didn't regret it. So
if you have something's coming to mind, good, good, good good.
I need you can either start calling me. It might
(00:27):
even be best to leave a talkback with Tiff on
the iHeartRadio app. You'll see the microphone next to the playbottom.
Can shoot me an Instagram message. Whatever works for you.
I've been perfecting this woman's voice because I ran into
her and I see her just I see her all
the time, coming up in the elevator the same time
I do.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
At the crack of dawn. She gets into her office early.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
She works on floor three of my building and we're
on a different one. And she says to me, looks
deep into my soul. This morning, she says, I got
one more day. I got one more day, and I'm
going on vacation. She like, I couldn't be more excited.
I said, heck, yes, I'm going on a girl's trip
to dale Haller or what's that? What's that town right
(01:06):
next to Cumberland?
Speaker 1 (01:07):
She said right.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
I said, I don't know where that is clearly, and
she's it's right next to Cumberland.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Beautiful. I said, okay, great.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
I said, what you guys doing in the airbnb hochel
She's like, I got an rvy. She's the other ladies
they got their cabins, but I got an rvy. We
got the cabins because we need to slip for the boat.
I mean, this is all in one elevator ride. Guys,
I'm borderline ready to pack my bags and join her
on this trip.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
I love Norris Lake. I was just there a week
or so ago, and I say, well girl, I said, girl,
you have a great time. She said, you know, I will.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Well.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
She made it sound like she was going on a
week's where the vacation the woman's taking a long weekend.
But that is how bad people want vacations. There is
a I'm gonna quite I sound choogie by saying new term,
but it's called the justy vacation. Seventy three percent of
(02:05):
people who are in this survey, and I don't know
that could have been three people or could have been
a million, said that they're in desperate need of a vacation.
I think that really just tracks for everyone right now.
There's just so much going on. One thing leads to another,
next thing. You know, we're at August one on Thursday.
We've got a lot, you know, to fit in before
school starts and such.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
So this justy vacation is really just either the millennial
or gen Z way of.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Saying, I'm gonna do something even though I can't afford it.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
It's short for.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Justified vacation, and of this survey, forty nine percent of
people who said they can't afford it are just going
to go off and do it anyways, which is I
think when it comes to certain things that you really
desperately want or need, that happens quite a bit. You
can insert whatever it might have been. A Taylor Swift ticket,
(02:56):
either here or abroad.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
I'm thinking of things.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
It's sales tax weekend or I'm sorry, sales tax free Week.
It's not even a weekend anymore. It starts today. By
the way, if you miss that in three things you
need to know, sales tax week pretty much hits everything
including food, close books. It just of what you obviously
can't use it for, you know, alcohol and tobacco, et cetera.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
But where's that going with this?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Oh yeah, there's so many things, vacation being one of
them that you just when you need it, you find
a way to make it happen. So I had just
mentioned earlier in the conversation, if you're just walking in
the door here, welcome to the party.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Is there something that you have justified doing or taking
or buying and you just didn't quite have the funds
for it, but you made it happen anyway, and you
didn't regret it.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
What is that thing?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
I'm curious to see what we get on the show
this morning. I'll put my number out there, although I
would love it if you saved it in your phone.
Five one three seven four nine one oh sepa one.
Good morning. In the meantime, we're still commercial free. And
if you are not blasting this song on two wheels
wherever it is that you're heading off to this morning.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
You're waking up with TIF in the morning on kissue
oh seven one. We're about an hour away at eight
forty from your chance to win Voices of America Music
festival passes for next weekend, four days worth of music.
Diplow's gonna be with us at Kissjue oh seven one,
Sam Hunt, and so many more.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
So don't go far. I don't want you to miss it.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
In the meantime, come on in and join us for
this conversation. We're in the midst of talking about just
ye vacations, which is a shorter term for justified vacations,
which essentially means I need a vacation very badly, and
I don't necessarily have the extra funds for it, but
I'm gonna find a way to make it work, which
is just life right. Apparently, almost one hundred percent of
(04:48):
people from this thing I read need a vacation so
bad this summer. Even though they don't have the funds,
they're gonna find ways to make it work. So five one, three, seven,
four nine one o seven one to joining them this
content and converse station this morning. Things that you've spent
money on that you didn't regret how you're on the air.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
You know, I mean, I do have a story I
could tell as far as that. For me, it was
more just I don't know. I've never found myself regretting
spending a lot of money to spend time with friends
like that.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Okay, good.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
You never really remember like I lost the brand.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
You just think I'm glad I did it. That's a
great point. What was your name, by the way, what
neighborhood call me from?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Greg? I'm from Chiviat.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Thanks for collin, Greg. We'll start with you line too.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Hi, good morning.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Next.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
I was just calling to tell you about a trip
that I took that cost way too much money. Okay,
long story short, I absolutely think you should go. The
money will always come back. But when I was in
my early twenties, I went to this fundraising event. There
was a live auction and I wanted to win this
red ticket package because my nephew loved the reds and
(05:55):
it was a game in Atlanta, like hotel, flight on
Ultimate and air all that like private stuff. So I
was bidding up against this guy, this older guy, and
he looked at me and he was like, are you
even married? And I was like, wow, what does that
have to do with anything? So at that point it
was personal and I ended up spending like I think,
(06:16):
like three thousand dollars on this tree.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Regrets No, yes, no regrets.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
I loved it, and I have a good story to say,
like through that guy and I had a good time.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Okay, good What was your name by the way with
neighborhod call me.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
From Barbara from Kodale.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Thank you for the call, Barbara. I really appreciate it
when you guys jump in and join the show. I
love that one five win, three seven four nine one
O seven one. She said, Oh yeah, you want to
go toe to toe with me.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
I might not have the money, but I've got an EMX.
In the meantime, we're still commercial free.
