Tips form Julie on The Job if Accidentally Go Live on Instagram

You're waking up in the morning.

In the morning, Uncle Shannon got in trouble at work.
And when something happens on the job, there's only one
person I go to ask Julie on the job, you
saw the video, you saw the statement, first of all,
do you have any input on this?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
So interesting? You know, when our public figures do something
that the rest of us probably do and we're all
we do is get embarrassed and our friends Jesus, it
becomes the national story and people start talking about it.
That's one of the downsides potentially of being in a
public eye, but also not knowing how to use your technology.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
It takes four There are like three to four steps
to go live on Instagram if you're just joining the show.
Shannon Sharp, a podcast or ESPN form of football player
accidentally went live on Instagram while in the midst of
intimacy with someone and there's no video but the audio.
Who was a little juicy to it. There are times, though,

where you do get in not even trouble, but your
job's like, hey, we got to talk about something. How
do you what would be your piece of advice for
someone that may be going through I don't know if
anyone would ever go through something similar to what Shannon did.
But if they did get in trouble at work, what
do you recommend for that.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yeah, so let's say you were arrested and maybe it
was for a fight or you know, maybe nothing huge
like you can see murdered somebody. That's entirely different. But
what I would do, because people are going to find out,
and so what I would do is just go and say, look,
this happened, here's the situation, Here's why it's going to
go away. Here's why you know I because sometimes it

brings it brings blowback onto the employer, depending on what
it is, and so the best thing you can do
is get out in front of it and come clean.
And Shammon Sharpe at first was saying his idea was hacked,
and then he's like, Okay, no, it wasn't hacked. It
was me.
