Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is t J Janet and j Rod's second date
update on kJ one O three got Grace and Okay
see on the second date update.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Hi Grace, Hi guys.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
So, okay, you had a first date with Colin. I
understand you've had your eyes on him for a while,
is that right?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Yeah, he was just kind of unavailable, okay. So we
used to be neighbors. He lived with his fiance, Okay,
and then so like a couple months ago, I ran
into him at pins Grimo and I asked him how
Amy and fiance is doing.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
And it turns out that they had a.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Really bad breakup last year. Oh don it was darning,
I know, and it was just before the wedding and
so yeah, so of course.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
I made all the right noises and I was like, oh,
I'm thirty to hear about that.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
And so anyway, he tells me that, oh, it was
the best thing that ever happened to him.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
So, I mean, basically what happens is that we exchanged
numbers and we went on a date last month. So
I've always had like a low key crush on.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Him, but you know, anyway, so we had our date,
like like I feel.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Like I'm like telling the secrets or something right now.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Sure.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
So anyway, we had our date, everything was good, and
we went our separate ways and that was it. So
then I started texting him and like occasionally I'll get
a reply, but then like if I'll ask him like
do you want to have dinner or do you want
to have drinks? Like I get nothing from him, Like
he doesn't reply at all.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Okay, Okay, So maybe this is a deal where he,
you know, had that neighbor fantasy and then when he
went out with you when it wasn't like forbidden, it
just wasn't as fun. I don't you know what, it
was not the same.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Maybe I didn't I didn't even think.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
About that, but hey, I got it.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
We can talk him back into it, you know, we'll
get calling on the phone and ask why he was
gung ho on going out with you and now he
doesn't want to go out again. Okay, yeah, please, all right,
we'll talk to him. Next Second date update kJ went
ol three, TJ Janet, Jay Rodd in the morning. It's
TJ Janet and Jay Rodd's second date update.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
On kJ one O three.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
We got Colin on the second date update. Hi, Colin,
Grace called us, said that you guys went on a date,
but now she's trying to get you to go out again,
and you're just like, you're just kind of standoff as
she did, just seem to be avoiding her. What's going
on here?

Speaker 5 (02:26):
I'm okay.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
So the reason I broke up with my finance is
because I found out.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
She had eighty thousand dollars in credit card debt.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
And yeah, luckily I found that out a week before
our wedding when she couldn't she couldn't even use her
credit cards because they were backed out.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
So anyways, I told all that to Grace.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
And then I said, so, you.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Know, if you have bad credit, you'd better tell me now.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
She said, I don't want to go down that bread again.
And she said that she has no idea how much
money she owes, no idea work credit score is. She
buys things on her credit card and figures out how
to pay them later. I've been there, I've done that,
so it again.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
So you're like, no, you're having PTSD from the last
person you want financial stability.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Are you comparing me to your fiance?

Speaker 5 (03:17):
What do you mean? I mean?

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Are you comparing me with someone who's careless with their
credit card has eighty thousand dollars in credit card debt.
I mean, I'm just like, I'm just having my phone
with my credit card. It's not the same as for
racking up eighty thousand dollars on credit card.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
Well, I mean, I'm definitely seeing the same pattern.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
And I mean, you have no idea how much you owe,
no idea what your.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Credit score is. I mean, there's a red flag.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
But I can look up my credit score if you want.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
God, well, if you were responsible with your.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Credit, you'd already know what it is, you know.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
I honestly, I don't care what it is.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I have one credit card. I'm sure I owe a
couple thousand dollars from a vacation I took last March.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
But I mean, right there, that's gateway debt, right there,
Gateway debt.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
What That's how it starts. You keep a balance of
two thousand dollars or so.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Pay the minimum, and then you.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Go on another vacation. Then it just snowballs from there
and someday.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
It turns into eighty thousand dollars the week before your wedding,
and you're like, ah, that's that's what you're thinking.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Okay, no, no, come on, you sound like my father, Colin.
I mean, why are you so big on my case
about this?

Speaker 5 (04:33):
It's like, oh, credit card, you're you're into dinal and
you want to know why I don't want to go
out again. This is why. Okay, I can't. I just
can't do it.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
I'm saying, good luck fighting a woman who doesn't have
a little fun with her credit card.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I mean, seriously, Yeah, what are you looking for, Colin,
Just someone that's like, nope, I take my credit seriously,
high credit score, no debt.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah, I mean, I just I can't do that again.
I mean that was traumatic for me.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
And I got to have somebody that's responsible with their
credit cards and their finance finances. I mean, I just
I hope you understand that.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
I mean it's just too much, Okay, I mean.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
I understand it. Yeah, I don't worry about me. I
don't grace, you understand it.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
I mean I don't have eighty thousand dollars for a
credit card. I mean credit card that I have like
a few thousands, Like it's not a big deal. No,
I don't get it, because I think I think Colin,
you're like just I don't know if it's PTSD or
what the hell, but you're yeah, you're never going to

(05:35):
find a woman that doesn't use a credit card.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
I mean, you're you're being ridiculous and pretty controlling. I
must say.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Wow, okay, okay, well Colin, thanks for coming on the
second date update.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
Well, thank you guys, Okay.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Bye, god grace, last last word.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Yes, ew I come on like he does have control
problems for certain like he's trying to We went on one
date and he doesn't want to go again because I
told him I have a credit card.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Sure, I mean credit card? Yeah, well, thanks for coming
on the second date. Off date. I mean, I think
you're fine not getting another date with Colin, but good luck.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Okay, I am all right, thanks, all right.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
We already got a message from Jonathan. Jonathan says, what
an idiot. Let me ask this question though, Okay, is
he controlling or is he like, no, next girl I
meet is going to have control over her credit and
for her just to be willy nilly thing. Is he's like, no,

(06:44):
that's how it started with my ex. Does that make
him controlling or does that make him you know, smart?
He just came out of a bad relationship that ended
because of credit and maybe he's a little I don't
know sensitive, I don't four or five four six one
o two seven. Uh, let's discuss this second date update
kJ well three, TJ Janet, J Rod in the Morning,
kJ wele three Oklama's number one hit music station, TJ

(07:06):
Janet and J Rod in the Morning and chapel roam there.
Let me grab this caller here kJ what three? Hello?
Who's this?

Speaker 6 (07:14):
I was just calling in response to that that date,
that dating update?

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yeah, what's your name? Where are you calling from?

Speaker 6 (07:23):
I'm Jen calling from Yukon?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Okay, Jen, you want to talk about this second date
update for people just joining us? He went on a date?
He said, Yeah, the reason I broke up with my
fiance was because I found out she had eighty thousand
dollars worth of credit card debt she didn't tell me about.
And when his date said, oh, yeah, well I probably
have a few thousand dollars with a credit card debt.

(07:45):
I don't even know my credit score, He's like, Nope,
not going there again. Hig out. He called it gateway debt.
Do you agree or disagree with this? Thinking?

Speaker 6 (07:55):
I absolutely agree with him because number one fine answers.
It is one of the deal breakers and relationships. It
does cause issues when you actually start getting out of
that honeymoon phase. Second of all, she keeps saying, I
have a credit card. Okay, you have one credit card,
and you have no idea how much your balance is.

(08:17):
And she's still paying off a vacation from back in March.
That versus two thousand dollars on the credit card. Now,
all of a sudden, she's got possibly a three thousand
dollars balance on the credit card. She has no idea
about the credit score, and yet financial security here. I'm
with him, Why start getting into relationship that's going to eventually,

(08:39):
you know, cause problems.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Sure, so, I guess my question for you is when
did you get in trouble with credit that you know
this lesson? I mean, seriously, we all know it once.

Speaker 6 (08:50):
A while, absolutely, and that is correct. I am now
seasoned di andraw finances. I've also been in relationships where okay,
you're dealing with your finances all that stuff. But then
as we got moved in together, then it became a
huge problem for us, to the point where I mean

(09:12):
there were I had one relationship where he actually was
going to court and I didn't even know he was
going to court because of debt.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Okay, all right, so you've been there and it can
be messy. And again you maybe he's overreacting to someone
who's like, I'm just this is my fun credit card.
I put a vacation on it. Get over it. But
as someone that almost married a woman with a secret
eighty thousand dollars worth of debt, I can see him
being a little gun shy.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
Right now, right well, and again, she's not financial responsible.
She has no idea how much she even has do
on that one credit card that she has. How can
you not even know on one credit card how much
you owe?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
So, Jgi, we are now we are. That's what we do.
On the second date, update it my thanks for calling.
