Speaker 4 (00:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:17):
For the second date update, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
It was so random. He asked me out at least
once a week for the past year.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Wait, did you know him when he was asking you out?
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Or?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Well? I work at them all and we met when
he was shopping at my store, and he'd stop by
my store all the time to stay hi, and then
he'd say we should go get some lunch, or what
are you doing after work?
Speaker 2 (00:40):
Okay? Laying the groundwork that makes.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Sense, right, you know, he's a good looking guy, seemed nice.
I wasn't interested in going out with a random guy
that comes into my store, okay. And finally, a couple
of months back, he came and say hi. This time
he didn't ask me out, and then he just said bye,
and I felt almost rejected, like, wait a.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Minute, this guy isn't chasing me anymore.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah. I was like, he's no longer interested? Or have
you found someone else? At this point I realized I'm
attracted to Jay.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Oh yes.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
So the next time we came in, I said, I
get my lunch break soon. You want to go out
to lunch with me? And he said, hell, yeah you do?
Speaker 2 (01:22):
So that was your first date?
Speaker 3 (01:24):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Okay, cool not to say yes, but the hell yeah
I do?
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Right, So he's obviously still to me.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
The lunch date was great. He's really an interesting guy.
We exchanged I was at lunch, but he hasn't texted
me since the date. He isn't returning my text and
the biggest thing is he hasn't been in my store
to say hi since our date. I'm you going to
get him on the phone, but I need to know
what I did make him chasing me.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Okay, well, Jay, Rod's real good at get him on
the phone oday. We are texting him already to make
this happen. Okay, Okay, Kristen, So okay, you know how
the drill works.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
You hanged.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
We'll talk to Jay find out what you did at
that lunch that made him no longer interested?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Okay, what did you do?
Speaker 1 (02:08):
We'll take a break, play a couple of songs and
see what Jay has to say about this. For the
second date update kJ one all three, TJ Janet, Jay
Rod in the morning.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
It's TJ Janet and Jay Rodd's second date update on
kJ one.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
O three, kristenph from Edmund called Us said this guy
Jay had been asking her out.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Like every week for a long time.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
He'd come at her store at the mall and say,
where should go to lunch sometime?
Speaker 2 (02:29):
What do you doing have to work?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
When they went to lunch, you know, I don't know
food court or something, but anyway, she thought it was
a great first date. He has not been in the store.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Since, has not a text her, nothing.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
And she wants to know why. So where you've got
Jay on the phone to ask him? Here for the
second date update, Hey j, thanks for coming on the show.
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Hey man. Okay, look, you know when you think you
know someone and then they kind of say one thing
that makes you see them in a different light.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Ooh what'd you say?
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Yeah, we're at lunch and we're talking about our lives
and our families. And then Christen said that she doesn't
have a relationship with her mother.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Okay, and yeah, and okay, I guess her mom.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
She lives here in Oklahoma City. But Kristen isn't on
speaking terms with her mom.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
So is that your issue? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:19):
Well yeah, I mean honestly, I kind of lost all
respect for her. I lost my mom when I was fourteen, okay,
you know, and I would do anything to talk to her.
But but Christen chooses to not have a relationship with
her mom, and that's I'm sorry, but that's just not
okay with me.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
You don't know even all this situation, and you're judging me.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
By the way Kristen's on the phone here.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
Yeah, god, okay, all right, Well I don't know this situation.
Do you want to explain the situation to me right now?
Speaker 3 (03:52):
That no, you own a son of your business or
anybody listening to the radio's business. That's between me and
my mom, and you should respect that.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Anyone who refuses to have a relationship with their mom,
I don't respect that.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Well, how do you know she's not the one refusing
to have a relationship with me.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Either way, you're her daughter, that's your mother, honored by mother.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
My situation was my mom is complicated and it's none
of your business.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Okay, yeah, it's a hard one.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
I mean, Jay, you you were chasing after her for
I mean you were asking her out for, like, you know,
over a year.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Yeah, I know, you were dedicated, and then you.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Go on this date with her and you're like, oh,
she has some complicated relationship with her mom and that's
keeping you from going on a second date with her,
Like you don't want to go.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
We'll pay for it. We'll send you guys out to
a dinner or whatever. What if we had to do?
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Oh man, look, I I just I can't. I can't
do it for obvious reasons. Okay, I did. I can't
do it.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Well, that's good, because I don't want to spend time
with someone who's so quick to judge.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Okay, well, Jay, we're I guess we're gonna let you.
Let you go. It's going nowhere. But thanks for calling.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Sorry that you lost your mom at such a young age,
and what do you do? You know, we appreciate you
coming on the second eight update, Buddy.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
All right, man, thanks all right, Buddy, Kristen.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
What I wish I had a relationship with my mom.
I've tried for years, and like I said, it's really
healthy and I don't need some stranger judging me for it.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Sure, I get it. You don't know the backstory, so
it's real.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
It's it's not really fair for somebody else to step
in and say, hey, I don't like the way the
six were.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
You're like, you don't even know. Do you want it?
Do you want to mention what's going on between you
and your mom? And you want to keep that private?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
I'll keep that private?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
All right? All right, Just there you go.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
I wonder if you called I mean, I wonder if
you called him and told him, hey, here's what's really
going on.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Maybe I don't think so, okay, all right, all right,
Well that's honest.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Well I appreciate you're honesty, and thanks for coming on
our show.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
By I just mentioned earlier this morning how great a
relationship I have with my parents.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
I was just talking about that earlier this morning.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
I like, we're best friends, and and how bad I
think it. It's got to suck to not have that,
and then she's being judged for it. We don't know this,
you don't know the story. Some people just don't get along,
and it's more painful to be with them than not
with them, absolutely.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Which sucks, but I don't.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
I don't you want to four or five, four, six,
one or two seven.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
If you want to chime in on this. God Man,
Franklin's already saying he's a clown. The guy's a clown.
They're already rolling in. Yeah,
