Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Kirk Kirk's Dog shirt is the official stocking stuff for
two point twenty four.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I mean, can you imagine is that from Santa himself?

Speaker 4 (02:29):
That is from the big guy himself.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Saint Nick said it.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Saint Nick.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
The elves are going nuts up there when they saw
the Kirk's Dog shirt. The holy shit, oh yeah, shit okay.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
So are they Santa's dogs?

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Then where's that Santa's dogs?

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Is that technically the reindeer? I don't really know how
that works.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Santa's Deer's Santa's deers?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
They the Z on the end is what it is?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Deer plural, It's plural and singular. Okay, but I think
I think zeers is actually technically correct if you write
it that way too.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
This is one of the weird things where it's like
it's technically like a score of deer, like a is
that with the fathom of deer or something.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
I don't know if it's one of those weird animals.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Maybe we're gonna bring up one of these reviews that
I saw, because I every once in a while to
check him. Last time, I was like, I'd like to
see if there's any more reviews. Then I listened or
then I went and saw it and it was like,
oh wow, somebody really got into it. November seven, Listen
to every podcast five star review. By the way, listen
to every podcast. I was sent into depression when Drake
left saw the email on Patreon that he came back

(03:37):
instantly got hard WHOA I always listen while driving. I'm
gonna watch this one. Kluver can get annoying, but he's
still very intelligent. Shout out to the one guy who
thinks so and love listening to him. G Bone and
the Broncos Rock Broncos Nation.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Baby.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Kevin never shows up. Kevin never shows up, so he's
just eh. I don't care if he's there or not.
Need to bring top fives back?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Love this show. We'll always listen Hawks by million. We do.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Some Top five, maybe we could get a little Christmas
top five going as we as we roll into the
holiday season here. Oh yeah, I think we did not
last year, but maybe the year before that we did
Top five holiday movies or Christmas movies? Did we once
upon a time do that? I feel like we did.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
I believe you are correct. Yes, So.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Maybe we just go top five Christmas all of Christmas.
You could do a movie, you could do a food,
you could do a some aspect of Christmas season. That
too broad.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
It's our show. We can do whatever the fun we want.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah, right, your goddamn right, we can.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
When's the last time we even did the top five.
It's been years. It's been a long time.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
We did like a blended Top five for the NCAA
video game release. M like top five players you wish
you could have had, Yeah on an unofficial topuff.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
We gotta we need to do a legitimate one top
five presence that you you got as a kid.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
That could be a good one.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Mm hm, I remember when I got that PS two baby?

Speaker 4 (05:17):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yes, PS two is a good one. PS two is
a good one.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Man. I have to go back and think, because, uh, yeah,
I might have to pull out like Christmas pictures that
my mom has printed out.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
I don't remember all my gifts. Uh.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Anyway, appreciate you guys helping out the store.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Go check it out.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
It's still live again. We're gonna have Black Friday sales
as well. Might even do a little twelve Days of
walk on Christmas this year. Some giveaways around the holiday
season based around that whole thing. But uh, we'll see
what what that looks like as we get into it.
Big weekend of football. Did the Broncos play today?

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Grant, Oh, did the Broncos play today? We absolutely mopped
the floor with the Atlanta Falcons to stay, securing us
our victory a sweep over the NFC South. Undefeated against
the entire division. Absolute domination over there.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
That's just a shame that you're in the a f
C West.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
And it's a shame we're in the A C West.
But I'll take it in with BONICKX. Unbelievable today, Offensive
rookie of the Year for sure.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
He's he's looking like you could be the real deal.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Oh. I think he's he's our guy. I feel great
about it. I trust, I'm believing. I believe in bo
you believe.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
So you got your franchise, guy? What what what do
the Broncos need next? You're you're the GM. What what
do they need to get over that that's called the
chief's hump?

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Maybe Patrick mahomes a fucking well, we're gonna need some sage,
is what we're gonna need.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
First.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
We're gonna have to cast out some demons, the devil
magic that the Kansas City Chiefs have been doing recently.
That's the step one.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Two.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
I'd like to draft maybe some more offensive weapons. I
feel like we really need a good, solid tight end.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
You know, I think our titan room is thoroughly average
currently right now. That's no disrespect to mister Doulcic over there,
but you know, there's a couple solid dudes in the
draft this year that I think we could pick up
that would be nice.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
We got a guy over at Penn State that's like
the best in the country, right.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Yeah, Or this is a guy at Bowling Bowling Green
who's an absolute stunt.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I mean, the thing about needing a tight end is
like you can always get the best tight end on
the board. Yeah, you want to very rarely those guys
going top ten, So you can always get the best
tight end the board if you really wanted to.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Unless it was the year that TJ and Noah both
got drafted.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
What'd TJ go? With? TJ go ten? I think I
thought he went nine? Did he go or was he
like he was like eight through ten? I think? Okay?

Speaker 1 (07:52):
And then Noah was like seventeenth to the blanks.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
It is kind of funny. When I was having the
same discussion and I had some buddies text me like, Hey,
does Iowa any tight ends come to the draft this year?
They're not even like, oh, we need a specific guy.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Just first tight end Avidual whose I was tighted. We
will draft them.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
Yeah, just don't don't need to see any highlights, just
let's it work.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
It'll be interesting because Leche is such a good talent
when he's fully healthy. But you just we just haven't
had him like that in a while.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah, his his career took a real turn last year.
Like he he easily could have been top three round
draft pick at the beginning of last year, like had
he progressed as we expected him to. But you know,
just the injuries mopped up. And yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I mean, the legacy lives on as far as Iowa goes.
I mean Astrenga, who also has battled health this year,
and Ortworth. These two guys both look like they could
be top five college tight ends if they if they ascend,
but who knows, a lot of things have to fall
into place for that. Uh So, the Broncos did play
the Broncos one. That's good, Grant, I'm happy for you.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Thank youj went eighth. By the way, Casey, there you go.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
That's that's really high for a tight end.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Kyle pitts up the record when he went forth or
has any tight end never been like drafted higher than that?

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Hold on, hold on, hold on, the producer is producing pits.
That's incredible. Uh fourth, So Okay, the Hawks didn't play. Obviously,
we have nothing to recap tonight. It might be a
shorter podcast. Who knows, there's some things to talk about.
John Gruden got hired by Barstool.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Tell you what, man, Now, that guy's made a lot
of money. Is he just doing that for fun or what?
You know? He just blew it all gamb He seems
like a gamblin man.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Cocin hookers, Yeah, exactly, speaking of cocin hookers, Drake Kolik
one and oh.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
One and oh one congratulations.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Wanted to update the people wanted to start with that.
Actually it took me nine and a half minutes to
bring it in. I know a lot of people were interested.
We were getting tweets, I was getting dms, Hey can
you update me? Like I was in there.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
I was just as much in the dark as y'all were.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
The only updates that we got were basically Kevin and
I's group chat with him in the bet and chat like, hey, boys,
I got the flu. It's like Thursday or Friday, He
text us, I got the flu. I feel like ass,
I'm gonna have to battle to like through this thing,
like this is gonna be absolute war. Then like we
were texting him the morning of yesterday. He's like, the

(10:35):
waiting game is not good, but I feel better, got
some i v's got some fluids. And then uh, about
nine o'clock, Ike sent a chat something like, uh, let's
fucking go boys go to war something like that, and
at like ten forty five, Drake responded that he won
the fight and so there you go.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Uh said it wasn't pretty, but he got his hand right.
So yeah, I hope there's footage out there somewhere. I
would love to see it.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
keV. Here's the real travesty of this is these guys
train a lot. These they are doing something that is
just brutal, like combat sports. How do you get into
something like that, and like the promotion or anybody involved,
they all decide, let's just not film this.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Yeah, I don't know, and he says, because it's on
a reservation. That's why they don't. I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Drake's lightly informed theory on it was that the the
casino is an Indian owned casino, they then control everything
that goes on, and so the broadcasting rights or like
filming rights on the grounds working entirely up to them,

(11:50):
and they charge an absolute insane premium to like rent
those rights for an event or something like that, and
the and the WFC whatever the promotion is that he's
fighting under, just decided, yeah, we're not able to fork
up the cash for that. Like, I'll be honest, I
would have bought this. I would have bought this for
twenty bucks to watch Drake yes, and like I feel like,

(12:14):
and then they're not banking on a whole podcast listenership
like wanting to watch some guy fight, but was at
least at least a.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Couple of hundred washed up walk on stand that would
have paid twenty box.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Absolutely, And then you have all the other people that
are participating. They all have five or ten or twenty
friends who would have bought the fight. Like, I feel
like you could have made it at least could have
come out.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Even on that thing. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Then you have footage, you have clips, you can promote better.
I'm not you know, don't ask me, but sounds like
something you would want to do. So Drake one, Uh,
the guy he ended up fighting was not the original
guy that was on the promotion graphic that I that
we had posted to Instagram when it when it came
out the original guy had some some health complications called

(12:59):
Drake like a couple days or like maybe the day
after he came on the show, randomly last week or
two weeks ago, like hey man, I got to drop out,
and so they filled him in with a guy that
was like twenty pounds heavier on short notice. And so
Drake went in there won a three round fight with
the flu against a guy that he was not prepared

(13:21):
to fight.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Wait wise, got it done?

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Want to know? And when you're one to o keV
with guys like Drake, it means more fights are coming
because if they don't lose, nothing's going to stop them.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
That's good point. That's a good point.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
So the only thing, the only thing here. And I
think this is sort of what Drake's wanted to get
into a lot for a long time. I don't know
why it's takken him until we're thirty years old to
do it. His master plan here is that he wants
to fight. He wants to fight on some set like
semi big prom ocean. That is, eventually, you know something
that's big enough that it is stream to the internet

(14:03):
and you can buy or purchase or somehow view and
he wants it to be like on a on an
undercard for like a decently big fight in Brazil, in
uh In Abu Dhabi or the Saudi Arabia, like he
wants to.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
He's fighting in Dubai. We're going We're going to Dubai.
We're going to Dubai. Oh shit, that would be insane.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
If the whole boys took a trip, the boys trip
to Boy's trip to Dubai, that would be absurd.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Oh and he would be fighting someone legitimate too, Like
there's a decent chance we all fly across the across
the entire.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Base some Dagistani and he gets absolutely, he.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Just gets worked for like ten minutes, gets choked out.
We're all like, oh no, our friend just got choked
out halfway across the planet.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Well I'm glad. We yes, like, I'm glad we flew
sixteen hours to get here and watch him get choked
out in eight minutes.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Like what are we supposed to do now? We're supposed
to go out tonight and do Bai because and Drake's
still recovered, like he said, oxygen is still coming back
to his brain. That would be we'd really need him
to come through on that. Yeah, if it's in Brazil.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
I'm not going to Brazil.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
To do with Brazil.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
I just feel like it's not safe.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
It's it's not a very safe country to go visit.
I feel like it'd be really fun, really cool, though.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
I'll say what the Packers were just there. You can't
well have clover Kicker.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
The Packers also paid their security staff millions pounds millions
of dollars.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Yeah, yeah, the infrastructure of security.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
The NFL. I'm sure dropped at least five million security
for that game.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
You know, subscribe to the patreons.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
We'll work on him.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
I walk on might be able to put the bill
got up on the top left. No, but uh, I
don't even remember how he got there. Oh cocin hookers
John Gruden. Yeah, did you see any of the clips
of him walking around? I think he's going to be
at the maybe hanging out at the Chicago office because
he was with Big Cat. He's walking around. He's like,
this place is incredible.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Man, I don't even know what I'm doing here.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
Did you just he loves football, He love I.

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Love guys who all love the same thing.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Yeah, missed by us. We should have contacted him.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Yeah, that's that's really big.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
I should have hired him. That's on me hand up
as the top guy in the company here is kind
of the guy who who heads things. Uh uh what
uh the largest shareholder? Yeah, yeah, numbers wise, I am,
and certainly, uh, visionary wise, I'm sort of the guy
who puts things into place. And I missed on that.

(16:49):
Didn't know Gruden was even available. Should have got him.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
He's been famously fired for a couple of years now,
But I didn't know he was looking fired him during
a Was it like a Monday night football game? At halftime?

Speaker 1 (17:04):
He got fired at halftime?

Speaker 2 (17:05):
Did he get fired at halftime?

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Well, he got fired for non football reasons.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Oh yeah, I know that, but I didn't know it
happened at a halftime.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
It was like during a primetime game that they weren't
playing in. And then I remember it was like, uh,
instead of like the whoever was in the booth or whatever.
I can now Adam Schefter breaking news from his.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Office, and that makes a lot more sense. I thought
you like he was coaching. Yeah, now, who's that one guy?
A couple of years back? Did he played somebody fired
in the middle one of the players retired at halftime.

Speaker 4 (17:38):
That was Antonio Brown. He ran across the ends.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
No, no, no, no, but yes he did. Someone who doesn't
have severe CTE retired at halftime a few years back.
I think you're right.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Also, in baseball, guys get traded in the middle of games.
That happened a couple of times this past season. What
a wild league, John Gruden?

Speaker 2 (18:02):
What else happened with.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
Vonte Davis retired at halftime? Who is it Vonte Davis?

Speaker 2 (18:07):
That's right? Ye? Who do you play for the Jets?

Speaker 4 (18:10):
He was on the Bills when he retired.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
All the time. Oh, I know I found this, Uh
saw this one over the weekend. Let me pull up this.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Uh maybe a new way that we can do the
coin toss at Iowa at Iowa games in Kinnico.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Yes, I mean this is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
And again you're gonna have to go to the YouTube
version because you just.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Don't get this. On a helicopter onto the over the field.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
And then keV you as the captain, you stand at
midfield and they drop a football.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
You know, they probably would send me out there because
if I get hurt doing this, it's the least impact
on the team. Compared to the other of the other
three captains. Yeah, apparently this is.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
The state championship too.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
They dropped the football and then they just go one
on one wrestling match until someone secures the thing.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
The This is just who wins the coin toss, not
not even like you get to receive the ball for like,
you just win the like.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Look at the goddamn mountain in the background.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
That was the most expensive coin toss ever was The
price before was twenty five cents and now it's whatever
helicopter cost.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Could you imagine we combo it. We already have flyovers, right,
could they time it where they drop the ball off
the out of the flyover and that thing comes all
the way down.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Football would be difficult, but I mean, you know, we
think it could be our defense budget, so they could
drop some objects at midfield without any trouble.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
I was gonna say, keV, you you talked about dropping
freedom bombs on this podcast before we just turned it.
We just turned that freedom bomb into a little.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
Football, all right, so they could be insanely dangerous to
try and catch a football coming.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Out moving so fast that out of a five hundred
miles an hour.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Yeah, right before the state championship game. But they used
to do that in the XFL, kind of similar like
they would have like a wrestle.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Yeah, they throw the ball and like basically say go
get it and yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
Really no no he apparently Yeah, but it was just
the similar concept they have that.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
I don't know if that was for a high There
was a high school, right Grant you said state Championshipyeah,
that was a high school stage. So does this high
school have a hookup with with the military or how
did it.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Have to be like the State Athletic Association.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
They've got some hook up with some pilot. Yeah, it's
like I can fly, I can fly the copter. You
tell me, you give me the word.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
It could just be some amateur. It's just like, well,
if we just don't tell anyone about it and fly
real low, I mean we can we can do it.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Like who's the first person that come up with that
that idea? And it's like, I gotta go sell this
to these coaches. Now we're gonna forego the coin toss
and we're just gonna drop the ball all from a helicopter.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Coach, Hey, coach, I got I got an idea.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
What do they do?

Speaker 4 (21:04):
What do they do for the games? They are like,
let's the NFL question.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
What happens overtime? Does the count.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
You gotta call him back? Oh shit, Hey, we're gonna
need you.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
It's a close one.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
This time they left. They have to jump out of
the helicopter.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
This time for the helicopter's got a park at uh
Dick Sporting Goods and pick up another football because they
only had one.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Now I have a hookup for this. Actually we could
we could get this done. I know a helicopter pilot.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
I was with him today. He's part of he's he
married Lawren's cousin.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
It's like, how is the state of Iowa was supposed
to do that? When the championship game is in a dome.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
Uh, that's gonna be tough at the UNI Dome. Yeah,
let me see. You might be able to.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
It might just have to be a little bit lower grade.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
And we could get a really cool drone to fly
in through the through the garage door at the one
side of the stadium and then it flies up to
the top. You know, there's plenty of there. I think
drones deliver packages. Now it could easily carry a football
drop it.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Fair tangent question, why is uh? Why is you? And
I always has you? And I always had the state championship?
Or like why because in Illinois it's it's it used
to always be the University of Illinois. Now it flips
between University of Illinois and Northern Illinois every other year.

(22:30):
I like that. I like the Husky Stadium over there.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
That's a good that'd be a great place at stadium.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
They did that because Illinois is a large state geographically,
and sure the vast majority of the teams that go
to the state title are from the Chicagoland area. So right, yeah,
just to say one.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
From another tangent off your tangent, what what percentage would
you say is from Chicagoland area? Like how like what
are your odds really making it if you're like out
in the farmland of Illinois, Like, well, I.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Should say they do do like north and south brackets. Okay,
teams out of the suburbs when the vast majority of
the time, Okay, unless East St. Louis is usually pretty good.
They got a lot of athletes down there. There's there's
a handful of schools like further south, but I forget that.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
Saint Louis is somewhat part of Illinois.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
Yeah, on the other side of the river. It's a
little dangerous over there, but they got some good football players.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
You don't want to walk there at night alone. But
god damn it, they can run an option. They can
run an RPO. Uh so you and I Actually I
don't know, Grant. Can you search that search Iowa High
school football state Championship? And I know it's been there.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
It's been there at least for the two thousand, going
back to my memory.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
But I have to imagine at.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Some point the state championship was not played at the
UNI Dome.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
I think it's a great place to play it. I
would imagine the reason they do it, keV is because
of weather. Like you get to like they just played
the state Well, no, the state championship has not been
played yet.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
I think it's this week. Yeah, it's the subsequent week,
so you know, to.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Be fair, this year we've had incredible weather, like forty
to fifty three nights, which.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Is perfect football, But there was certain there was years there.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
That last week in October I played in like thirty
three degrees sleeping rain.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Well, sir, but I mean football is mentally played outside.
I mean, you look at like the Big Ten, we
all got outdoor stadiums now so and we play into
late November.

Speaker 4 (24:33):
I think it's Kurt Warner is very big on like
he thinks every game of football should be playing in the Dome.
I think he hates that weather is part of football
because he I think he also played the majority of
his professional games in the Dome. But regardless, he's like
a huge advocate of like every every NFL team.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
She also came from the Arena League, didn't.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
He Yeah, Barnstorms shut out. Yeah, but you the Dome
has been it looks like the host of the Iowa
State championships the seventies.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
So wow, holy smokes.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
So before that, I have to imagine the either just
played it at like Iowa State because it's central, or
they just played it potentially at the higher seeds field.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
I get what you're saying, keV. I think for if
you want to make more money though, like if you
want to commercialize it a little bit, And I know
you're now we're getting into the topic of like, oh,
you're ruining football comes high school football? Yeah, like trying
to make a little money off of it, Like, if
you're going to take the playoffs to an indoor place,
you're going to have people that are more willing to
go if it's forty two degrees outside in windy imull

(25:38):
also make.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
The argument, you know, if like say you flip flopped
it between Kinnick and Jack Strice every year, like, yeah,
closer to the state's major population.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Centers, yes, one hundred percent, Like.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
For des Moines School to go to Cedar Falls, like
that's it's a hike.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
Yeah, it's an hour and a half. I will say this,
which is nullified by the Jack Trice in Kinnick Point,
but taking it to one of those three stadiums also
makes it like a big thing. Like if it's very
it feels very cool to go play in a college,
you know, like the Division one stadium, right of course. Yeah,

(26:15):
but yeah, if you go play at Jack Trice or
or Kinnick, you're gonna get that as well.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
I would I would love if it was in the
Jerry Dome.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Oh ship, that would be so insane. That would be
so cool.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
I would actually love if they rotated it between the three.
That would be really cool. If like every third year
it was played in Kinnick, played in Jack Trice played
in the Unidome. Yeah, that would that would that would
be insane. Maybe we should talk to the I would
have athletic association.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Uh, they probably wouldn't listen to us. And had who
played two IOA city teams? I think yeah? And knows? Uh?
City High in Liberty? I think or is either West
in Liberty played a couple of years back.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Right, I think we City High in Liberty and they
called it no, no, no, it was oh what did
they call it?

Speaker 2 (27:07):
It had a cool name.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
Oh not get to.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Call it something. Yeah, and I think like a lot
of people went too.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
I want to say it was like twenty thousand people
showed up or so it.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Was like a spring game. Yeah, that would be insane.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
High school football game inside Kinnick Stadium.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
God, I would have been juiced. Uh.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Let's talk some let's talk some college football. What happened?

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (27:31):
What happened this weekend? Anything important? Should we recap some
wards winners? How'd you boys do?

Speaker 2 (27:36):
You could do?

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Awards winners?

Speaker 2 (27:38):
I went too and one, one and two.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
The one those awards winners joah.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
And moving on to the next thing.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Grant went forty six and forty two, So Illinois crushed
Michigan State.

Speaker 4 (27:54):
Oh hold on, this is the which.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Just makes me feel even worse about the Hawks loss
to Michigan State. You know, since that game, they've lost three.
They're zero and three and have lost byke up combined
sixty six points in their next three games.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
That's no I want anyone to know that.

Speaker 1 (28:11):
It's truly depressing.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Yeah, and we got our ask.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
I cannot, for the life of me, I think that's
going to be. You know, there's some there's some games
that stick out every year where you're just like huh
or or like our our senior year, keV when we
beat Ohio State, you're like huh mm hmm. And that's
gonna be one of those games that people remember, like
you remember that twenty twenty four Michigan State game, like
we couldn't tackle anybody. I don't I don't know what

(28:38):
was going on. I hope we can get a couple
of the guys on this year, some of the seniors
that are that are moving on to whatever they're moving
on to, to come on here and maybe shed a
little light on that. Specifically some some defensive guys, because
it it seemed like they were even at at a
bit of a loss. But yeah, Illinois crushes Michigan State.
I believe that was at Michigan State too.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
I think it was.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
I think was that Illinois?

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Oh was it?

Speaker 4 (29:02):
I believe it was the Champagne Okay, beautifulest time here.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Yeah, huge home field advantage, but shout out Bert Love
Burt Lsu straight up loses to Florida.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Unfortunate one for me.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
And Grant was on that.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Grant was on that.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
So I'm happy because Grant. Somebody won, right, somebody won.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
I didn't just lose.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Grant one on that and then jmu Never in Doubt
thirty five thirty two over Old Dominion minus two and
a half.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
We love it. We love the cover.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
So I don't know if you did you watch that game?

Speaker 1 (29:29):
No, but I knew I had a feeling it Never
in Doubt might be a stretch, but I had a.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Feeling one on the buzzer or something.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
And Grant was gonna come to this podcast and go, well,
I know Clover didn't watch this game, but this bed
was was was an unbelievable barn burner down to the wire.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
I just want to go back and see how many
of your twenty five wins are JMU.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
It's at least one fifth, it's twenty percent. JMU has
been crushing for me all year long. Maybe they're good
against the spread. I'm gonna I'm gonna sarch that QUI
while you go over yours cap. But I'm pretty sure
JAMU is very good against the spread this year.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Okay, yep. So I had Nebraska plus nine and a half,
that got that down all the way to plus seven
and a half by game time. I think. So if
you got seven and a half, that's tough because they
lost by eight points. But best case scenario for me,
Nebraska loses and they cover, so I get to win.
There had the under in the Michigan State Illinois game.

(30:27):
Illinois puts up garbage time touchdown with two minutes left
and that goes over. And then had Tennessee plus ten.
They're they're hanging in all game and just couldn't couldn't
get anything going in the second half and they end
up losing by fourteen I believe, or no, seventeen. They

(30:47):
lost by seventeen. I was gonna push I think what
was the score? I don't know. I think it was
seventeen thirty one to seventeen, lost by fourteen.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
Actually, I give you two and one on the weekend anyway,
I wouldn't be one.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Yeah, tough weekend, but I didn't. Honestly, I didn't like
any games that much this weekend.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
I didn't either Grant Center.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
I liked the Nebraska pick, I felt okay about the
Michigan State Illinois under and then I I was just
looking at the whole board, and it's nothing was really
sticking out to me. That's why I went with jam.
You just go with the old, old faithful.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
How about Nebraska just continuing to lose one score game though, doesn't.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
Matter it's across three different coaching states. Does it matter?

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Brother, Hey, if it's within one score, Nebraska's taking that out.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
I would love to know what bo Polini's record was
in one score games. Oh and Nebraska's records since they fired.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Him, Well, they found the November records. His November record,
he was like seventy five percent win rate one score games.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
I mean he was seventy five percent win rate regardless
of when the games were played or what the score was,
So it had to be close to that.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
They are.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
I'm starting to get a little in my for you
feed some some Nebraska fans questioning themselves, questioning the team,
a lot of questioning of rule. And I know it's
only it's it's year two, but the last and they
started out okay, but they are in a tough spot.
And I actually talked to Searles about this. Searles texted

(32:22):
us when we lost to U c L A kind
of given us ship me and Drake, and I sent
him back, Hey, buddy, y'all aren't in a in a
great spot either, and he goes, Oh, the mental, the
mental and physical health of Nebraska fans is in a
very bad spot right now.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
There's a yeah, they they're five and five, and they've
got Wisconsin, Wisconsin who just played Oregon really tough, damn
near beat them. Yep. And then they've got the Hawks
after Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Which is a one score ball game almost assuredly until eternity.
So uh, there's a there's a decent chance they don't
go bowling in your two. When it looked all but
locked up through about four or five weeks.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
And then Indiana came and hit them like a train
and the wheels just fell off yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
They they rearranged Nebraska's face and it and it really
it messed up their entire season, by the way, James Madison.
Not as good against the spread as I thought they
would They might have been. They're sixty percent, right, so
they're going three and two in five games against the spread,
but that's not nearly you know, they're sitting at space. Yeah,
six and four against the spread. Do you want to
take a guess at the two best teams? I will

(33:31):
say the five best teams all eighty percent or more
against the spread in the country in the coming.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Armies one of them?

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Okay, they're the They're number one at eighty seven point
five percent against the spread.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Getting Oregon's pretty good. They didn't cover this week obviously,
But actually, no, where is Oregon? I guess. I guess
they actually struggled earlier in the year, now that I
think about.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
It, in their first couple of games. They definitely I
might have looked over them, but I don't see organ.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
And yeah, no not. I think that they're probably not
up there. Whoever is number one? Indiana?

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Indiana is number six at seventy seven point eight percent.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
What about whoever? Florida State is playing Oh, actually, excuse.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Me, Indiana is actually slides in there at eight and
two against the spread eighty percent. Who'd you say, whoever
Florida State's playing?

Speaker 2 (34:19):
That might be a good guess. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Number two in the country is two lane at nine
and two against the spread eighty one eight percent. And
then state Penn State is not up there at least
in the very top.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Penn State is.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
I think they covered those like big spreads they had
earlier in there.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
This website, which is team rankings dot com, tells me
that Penn State. Jesus, I don't. I actually don't see them.
Are they not even on the front page?

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Dear god? They're not good against the spread? Co No, No,
I don't think so unless I missed them. The other
teams up at the very top were Colorado Marshall and
Arizona State.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
Arizona State.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Arizona State has we got it's a big twelve title.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
Things fall right here?

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Boys. That conference is a fucking mess.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Uh Colorado is looking good? B Why you loses to Kansas?

Speaker 4 (35:11):
Did you stay up for that one?

Speaker 2 (35:13):
No? But I saw you tweet about it.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
God damn it.

Speaker 4 (35:15):
I mean, I just it's it's a weekly I could
just schedule.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
It to be up. What is your tweet?

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Trust God?

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Never?

Speaker 4 (35:23):
It's yeah, it's the rules to live by in life.
It's number one, follow God. Number two, never fight a
man with nothing to lose. Number three it's never go
to sleep when there's college football on. Yeah, you'll miss something.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
And those are a great you know what? Actually are
those your three rules? Like?

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Did you did you hear that we did?

Speaker 4 (35:39):
What? What?

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Making a T shirt?

Speaker 1 (35:41):
I was gonna say, if granted is if that's original,
I think we found the next the next g Bone T.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
Shirt I did.

Speaker 4 (35:49):
I mean, I don't think I invented like people living
by following God, but.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Uh, adding their it's my tweet, Yeah, okay adding the
third rule.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Okay, so we just found it and we are gonna
find a way to make that into T shirt because
I will buy that T shirt. And I think a
lot of people there's been people asking about more g
Bone specific stuff and I was like, well, he just
hates it. He hates when we put his name on something.
And they're like, well, they're gonna he's gonna have to accept.
The direct quote was he's going to have to accept
that he's an equal part of the show at some

(36:19):
point and that we like things he does, so.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
The Big Twelve is an absolute shit show. Iowa State
at one point was a lock for the championship game
there they actually did find a way to win after
some struggle against Cincinnati yesterday, But they do not control
their own destiny quite yet. I believe right now it is.

Speaker 4 (36:40):
Colorado and it should be BYU.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Still I think it is still BYU.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
They would be the only teams with one loss in
the conference, and they would they would be in the championship.
Arizona State and Iowa State both still have a chance.
Arizona State beats Kansas State yesterday, who was one of
the other front runners this whole year, so smacked them.
Interesting stuff going on. Have you seen, Grant, have you

(37:05):
seen some of these Maybe this is the thing for
the for the Tuesday show, but have you seen some
of these scenarios where there's like eight SEC teams that
all have two losses and like most of them don't
get in.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
Yeah, you're delusional if you don't think the SEC champions getting.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
In at a bare minimum.

Speaker 4 (37:22):
But that's that's I mean. I don't love like Kirby
going and like complaining after he beats Tennessee in the
postgame interview. But it's a I just I even I
think the SEC champion could have six losses and get in,
if I'm just being totally honest, six losses, Like I
just I know how the committee works, like they just
there's no chance of that of that happening.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
I think, I think you have to acknowledge that they're
still an SEC bias. We did not literally quickly go
through your your awards winners recaptain.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
Yes, I went eight five and one nice up at
the top. I know I put the wrong line with Arizona.
I'm aware of it, all right. It says Arizona post
nine wasn't been close to plus nine. It was Arizona
minus one. And they covered either number you picked. They
covered this game by like fifty points, whatever number you
bet Arizona and you want. So if you're upset about it,
you can talk to my lawyer. His name is Drake Kolick,

(38:12):
and I'm sure he'd be happy to talk to you,
and and he's want to know Old Dominion I actually
pushed that game, so I got Old Dominion plus three
versus Jamu Crazy Sweat I'm gonna be totally. I like
the whole weekend. It might have been the most stressful
game that even happened.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
And I was literally I was watching it. I was
gonna like, couver is this zero idea? What's going on?

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Yeah, you're right, he's just enjoying his life right now
and he's gonna win this game with JMO, and I'm
just gonna have to I have to do it. But no,
it's like Old Dominion had to go for two at
the end to cover Oh wow. Well yeah, like they
went and got like a garbage time basically touchdown together.
They also had dudes wide open multiple times dropping passes.

(38:52):
It was oh no, but Louisvio lost outright to Stanford back.
I don't know what my I was thinking of Louis.
I'm gonna be totally. And they had a great little
social network joke they posted talking about dropping the sh
that saw the movie You'll get it had Kansas versus
BYU Cincinnati was the best bet for like thirty minutes.

(39:13):
Looked great. Then yeah, total disaster Colorado cruising. I think
Travis Hunter No. Two is the big front runner for
the Heisman as well, So that was good. Against Utah.
Wisconsin never even had to worry about it. Michigan State
over instantly. Florida look great out there against against LSU
BILLI Napier. And what's crazy too, is that, like, if

(39:36):
if you had asked me that, who would you be
feeling better about as a coach in week whatever it
is twelve? Brian Kelly or Billy Napier. I was like
reluctantly said, probably Brian Kelly. But I mean, I think
LSU fans hate Brian Kelly way more than Florida fans.
I hate Billy Napper right now.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
They want Brian Kelly fired immediately, don't they.

Speaker 4 (39:55):
I would I mean if I was a if I
was an LSU fan, would have won them fired before
he even got to LSU in the first place. Like,
I just don't understand why we keep trying to make
Brian Kelly work. I don't understand, Like we we've seen
a lot of the bet we've seen the best it's
going to be. I don't get it. West Virginia still
doesn't work. I don't understand why West Virginia every time
I bet on them. Yeah, they put in this quarterback

(40:18):
Green who he's not even the best quarterback on the team.
But when I don't bet on them, they bring in
the backup and he's great and he would just work.
He works perfectly. I don't understand it. Utsa was great.
Ucla not great on Friday night either. Arkansas just they
got down ten and then just never everyone decided they

(40:39):
were just gonna stop playing, stop scoring, like it was
twenty to ten. I want to say, for like forty.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
Five minutes and analysis, so you're analysis fucking it was.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
It was a good weekend though, Yeah, eight five and one.
I'll take it.

Speaker 1 (40:50):
That's good, I do.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
I This was the first time it hit me as
like a number's perspective of just sheer quantity that we're
at over here, Like in fact, you guys are you
guys are both similar numbers at least in terms.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
Of forty five games And Kevin's bet on what forty three?

Speaker 4 (41:09):
Yeah, and then I met sixty fifty you bet one hundred.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
And nineteen games. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:14):
Hey, it's football season.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
We have to Yeah, somebody has to.

Speaker 4 (41:18):
Yeah, but no, I'd say overall, like a fun weekend,
a lot of good stuff going on, like even like
Washington State, New Mexico to a super fun game yesterday.
I feel like the like Tennessee and Georgia was a
top fifteen matchup, and I feel like it wasn't even that.
Like I don't know, I just feel like people weren't
even excited for it. I feel, you see anyone really
talking about I would agree with that. Maybe it was

(41:39):
just like my my circle of Twitter, but I was
I was sort of caught up in rural Nebraska yesterday.

Speaker 1 (41:48):
Sure so I spent sort of that evening slate around
seven ish listening to the final ten or fifteen minutes
of the Nebraska game and them losing, and then and
then I was at a we're at like a wedding
reception kind of thing, And did you see.

Speaker 4 (42:09):
The Nebraska twitter is back on what if we go
to the Big back to the Big twelve or to
the SEC.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Wow?

Speaker 4 (42:16):
I have not seen that there was discussions of the
Big ten of like we don't work with the Big
ten mindset, like we got to go either back to
the Big twelve or join the SEC.

Speaker 1 (42:27):
I don't think the SEC is the move from a
former long snapper of an Iowah Hawkeye football team. I
don't think Nebraska going to the SEC is going to
provide them with the results that they want. I do
think that they are a like when I think Nebraska
they are so classically big eight, like the the eight

(42:49):
man conference that they had or eighteen conference they had.
And I want to say, I don't know if I
could even name the eight teams. It was Iowa State,
Kansas State, It's probably Colorado.

Speaker 4 (43:00):
Corrado, Nebraska, Oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
I want to say it was Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Texas
and Oklahoma State. Yeah, it might have been those eight teams.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
I know. I'm probably it was probably like Taylor in there.
Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
I just think that they are just so classically big eight.
I think they would work really well in the Big
twelve conference. And to be honest, if Nebraska announces that
they're leaving the Big Ten tomorrow, is there a single
person or school that's like.

Speaker 2 (43:30):
Oh, no, come back.

Speaker 4 (43:34):
First of all, they're not going to do that. They
make way too much money the Big Ten to ever
do that. But correct, I don't really know if I'm
being told.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
I think I was gonna say, like, the brand is big,
like viewership number wise, they are big. So I could
see somebody at the Big Ten or other teams being like, hey,
they kind of add to our profit share here, like
a decent amount.

Speaker 2 (43:53):
Maybe, I don't know, Yeah, I'm not sure.

Speaker 4 (43:57):
I think it was just kind of funny that it
was like now we're on circle of Twitter now where
it's like we don't have any The answer is not
like development or anything.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
It'se we just got to leave the conference, go join
the go join that new PAC twelve. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
By the way, was Missouri was in the Big eight.
That's we're forgetting.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Yeah, hey, you know they're they're they're trying in the
SEC over there.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Uh, Hawk gys, stock Hawks, We got anything to talk Hawks?
They're playing Maryland this week. We'll preview that game later.

Speaker 2 (44:27):
What's uh, what's Brian's title over there? Can you find
that for? S Grant? He's an analyst analyst, senior analyst.

Speaker 1 (44:36):
Talked with limon on UH last Tuesday and he's like,
I'm surprised you guys didn't talk about, uh, talk about
Brian being on the opposite staff and everything.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
I was like, well, we have a previewed the game yet,
that's next week. He's like, oh, that's fair.

Speaker 4 (44:49):
He's he's an analyst analysts, offensive senior offensive analysts.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
Which we determine which Lima and I determined that analyst
is just a way for college programs to say, you're
just another coach, but we can't pay you an official
coaching title salary, So we're just gonna add to pay.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
Him whatever you want. You just can't give on field instruction. Sure,
wink wink not not? Yeah, I was, Yeah, I don't
know what that looks like. It would be interesting, Well,
who is our senior year Kevin? What's his last name?
Was the special teams analysts? Like he's spent his Yeah,
who's his last name? Kevin's Shoot, I don't remember. I

(45:29):
mean he was he was good. Ship like he like
he spent a lot of time in the league. Like
he's awesome ship man, He was awesome. I spent a
lot of time with him that that year, not on
the field, but like the guy knew special.

Speaker 1 (45:42):
Teams very well. He was great to have around. Yeah,
I think analysts play a big role. It'd be interesting
to see the emotional side of of this one for Brian,
Like what, you know, what kind of thoughts he's having
to go around in his brain.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
Hawks have two games left. We are at Maryland, which
when Kevin and I went to Maryland. It was twenty fourteen.
It was windier than a bitch. It was windy as hell.
We went up two touchdowns and then we lost, and
then we didn't and then the rest of the season
kind of went to ship from there. I think, yeah,
that was that was the start of the bad season.

(46:22):
I think we were six and one going into that game.
Did the Terrapins break us? They might have? Damn. We
finished the year seven to five. Not good.

Speaker 1 (46:32):
That and we almost brought it back and got an
onside kick and tried to win that game.

Speaker 2 (46:36):
We really tried. Yeah, yeah, I remember we went up
two touchdowns early just oh you know what, Rudok threw
a pick six. God damn it. I knew it was
Rudok's fault. Had to be Iowa versus Maryland football twenty fourteen.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
I'm curious to know. Oh god, thirty eight to thirty one.
Now it brings back memories. Yeah, I remember seeing that
on the scoreboard. That brings back a literal like flashback.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
N Diggs is good.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
I was gonna say I wanted to see what Stefan
Diggs did to us. Receiving was oh yeah, nine for one,
thirty in a touchdowns.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
Punt return too, didn't he?

Speaker 1 (47:22):
I think I can maybe find that.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
I think you score a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (47:24):
I think he got kick returns. He had one kick
return for twenty one yards. Punt returns he did not. Uh,
he did not punt return that game. But the guy
that they did have punt returning had.

Speaker 4 (47:38):
Not.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
We punted nine times, were so bad nine punts and
he returned on a thirty seven point eight yard average.

Speaker 2 (47:46):
Okay, so it wasn't him returning punts by Dumeris getting gashed.
God that is keV.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
We gave up thirty seven point eight to return that game.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
Our punt team was so obnoxiously bad that year. Jesus dude.

Speaker 1 (48:01):
Oh and you want to know what this is the
game that I had a free I had a free run.
Nobody was blocking me, and he cut it across the field.
He was outside the hash. I was coming from just
inside the hash, and I lunged and dove and missed.
I dove and missed, and he just ran like a
big loop around to the other side of the field
and gained like I think eighteen or twenty yards.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
I was so pissed.

Speaker 1 (48:22):
I had I had a really cool shot to try
and take my shot and swipe his legs and have
a cool tackle, and he jumped over my arms. That
was unfortunate. I can see that on film right now too. God,
that sucks. If somebody's listening in there in the complex,
send me that twenty fourteen.

Speaker 2 (48:37):
I think it was the fourth punt of nine. I'm
not joking either. Stefan Diggs. Yeah, it's so funny.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
You go to see a guy like that have a
crazy NFL career and then you go back and you're like, yeah,
you had nine for one, thirty touchdown, fifty three yard
long on the day, I had a guy run for CJ.
Brown one carriers for one hundred yards.

Speaker 2 (49:01):
I mean, we just gosh. Yeah, So we recovered the
on side kick. You know, we're down seventeen in the
fourth quarter, we go touchdown on side kick, field goal,
don't get the on side kick, but force the punt.
So like we're down a touchdown, we had a chance. Hey,
we scored thirty one points. What was up the defense? An'ty? Well?
You know again, pick six, give a pick six. They

(49:24):
also they were giving some trouble with a couple of
formations they were running and also Stefan Diggs is really
good a football.

Speaker 4 (49:29):
Oh yeah, yeah, they got another good receiver right now
as well.

Speaker 1 (49:34):
Yeah, there might be some parallels here because I heard
Scott Doctrment on Legends and listeners talk about how they've
got potentially one of the most.

Speaker 2 (49:42):
Underrated or maybe got pretty good size to him. I think,
right one of the.

Speaker 1 (49:46):
More like overlooked as far as media attention, like the
top five receivers in the country.

Speaker 4 (49:51):
Probably, I mean, yeah, it's just most overlooked. Sure, you
could make the argument it's just a top five receiver
I've overlooked or not.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
But I've only watched one Maryland game this year, is
the Maryland Northwestern game. But they're like, he was their
offense that game.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
Yeah, he's pretty he's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Let me check. I'm gonna pull up the stats right now.
Let's find receiving.

Speaker 4 (50:13):
Yards, seven touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
Oh wow, Jesus Christ, he's fourth. He's fourth in the country.
He's one of only four guys who have over a
thousand yards receiving seven receiving touchdowns, which which isn't crazy,
but it's definitely up there.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
He has.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
Eighty six receptions, which is second in the country. Receiving touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (50:36):
He is.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
Yeah, it's like top twenty. Wow, so he's really good.
He's like real real good. Yeah, okay, sweet, I love
that one six. They're gonna be fighting for a bowl. Yeah,
they're still fighting. Actually, looking at like the Big ten records,
like outside of Purdue, everyone's got a path to a
bowl game.

Speaker 1 (50:56):
Yeah, it's a complete cluster. There's just one big tier
of like, ah, you're kind of a okay sometimes and
sometimes you're kind of.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
Yet you have the four teams. You got Oregon, IU,
Ohio State, and Penn State that are you know, in
that first tier. Then you got one seven and three team.
Then everyone else is kind of like six and four
to four to six. Yeah, and then there's pretty.

Speaker 1 (51:14):
A lot of a lot of fighting for bowl games
still left in the line. And both of our opponents
protty is bad. Both of our opponents are going to
have that potential urgency. Who knows if they actually bring it,
but they will have that potential urgency when we when
we go to play them. I yeah, I got uh,
I got nothing else. We will preview this game on

(51:35):
Thursday a little bit more. But right now I just
want people to go buy merch, Join the army and
go buy merch. Rock the Kirk's Dogs.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
Boys and Girls, the Elves.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
The Elves consensus across all the elves, they said it
was the best stocking stuffer of twenty twenty four.

Speaker 4 (51:52):
The consensus amongs Santa's.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Dogs unbelievable, first time in history, Oh unanimous. Just gonna
bit ball this right now? Can we get a Christmas
version of Kirks Dogs? We might be able to do that.

Speaker 4 (52:06):
What does that entail?

Speaker 2 (52:07):
Like Kirk in a Santa hats?

Speaker 4 (52:11):
Light?

Speaker 1 (52:12):
So I toyed with the idea because we we you know,
we Kevin and I. You saw we got practice kaef Santa. Right,
he'd come out in the hat and he'd wear it
once a year, yep, and usually at the bull trip
because that's when the bulls happened. And uh, I really
toyed with the idea. There's a couple of pictures out
there of him in the in the Santa hat. I

(52:32):
was like, man, if we could silhouette this and like
make his face and because again, if we use his
actual face, we're.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
Going to have to run that. I would have to
run that by yeah him or his the yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:47):
But if we use the silhouette. And I tried to
grab the silhouette and like make it on my own,
and it was just like a blob. You couldn't even
tell what it was.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
I think. I think if you got Kaf's face and
you just put it on a T shirt with Santa
hat and you made like the.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
Kirks Dogs and like Iowa Christmas, fine, Like you know,
hot kikes.

Speaker 1 (53:06):
Sell like hotkicks, but there's always red tape.

Speaker 2 (53:13):
I just rocked that year round. Man, just I'd go
to the opening game in August. Everybody would, dude.

Speaker 1 (53:21):
