I'm sorry, y'all, I haven't slept in three four days.
It was a lot of fun for me. It's also
a lot of work for me, and so I love BET.
There's nothing better in my opinion, and however, I need
to get there. I get there, and every year it

is just an amazing time and the show, like was incredible.

The radio room was fabulous, like the layout this year.

If you guys have seen our content from BT Awards
over the years, were always in this really nice room
that BT lays out for us. But this year it
just seemed so spacious. There was a damn DJ playing
on the elevator to get you up to the floor.
Every time an artists entered the building, the DJ would
start playing the artist music. So I'm over here setting

up cameras and stuff, and I hear B two K
start playing.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
In the elevator and I'm like, oh my god, they
in the building. So it was just super exciting.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
And you walk around and you see so many of
your media friends and podcasters and YouTubers.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
It was it was great.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yeah, yeah, exactly what you think. I had a good
time at BT.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
I was working the shade room, like Tone said, on
the second floor, without without y'all. But I kept coming
up there. I felt like that kid that was missing out. Yes,
I had to go with my mama house. Like your
cousins was up there playing, but you had to go
to your mama house that weekend. So I went to
my mama house. Yeah, and then I would go up
there and kick it a y'all. But it was It

was such a good time, man, an experience. One thing
I will say about about BT is you never gonna
get this many people in the industry all in one place,
all in one place.

TI and Ray Daniels had an issue on social media
where not like they be for anything, but you know,
Ray Daniels could say some stuff about TI chasing hits.

You know what I'm saying. Literally, I asked him about that.

The next person I got to interview was t I
you know what I'm saying, like back to back, just
to show you how much everybody is just everybody is there.

It's such a good time, man, I was. I had
a great time. It was a lot of work.

Oh yeah, it's our super Bowl. It is a super Bowl,
especially for media for real, I mean, and also for artists.
It's the only time you're gonna have that many black
outlets and one spot, one place where it's really like
you're doing a national tour in one house and you know,
and I shout out to the artists that took advantage
of that. Man. I think this year, like many years

at BT, a lot of artists look at it as
an opportunity to really get their you know, get their
stuff off, talk to everybody across the country. I think
BT did it amazing job. Mop They should have every
sponsor in the world, because you never gonna have that
much black talent in one room. I think BT can
easily say, hey, man, look the liquor brands that all
of It's just so many brands that should be involved

in this, in this special weekend because it's just all
of Literally, when they say it's Coach's biggest night, it
is nothing. There is nothing outside of the essence fest
that has it. And I think this year what they did,
I love what they did and not saying any other
other people weren't relevant, It's that they had relevant people
for the year. Right, So who's who's moving and shaking

that year? We got We got performances from we got
a host, Jewski who jew who's been popping all year?
You got everything fits. It just shows the power when
black people support black people and the stars come out.
It made the weekend great BT Awards is I love
it And you know how we all think how important
it is.

Yeah, At one point I looked around and I'm like,
we literally sitting in the room with Martin Lawrence, Queen Latifa,
Jamie Fox, Lauren Hill, Like you know what I'm saying.
All he like, we literally and where are we ever
going to get that type of black star power all
in the room together?

It's like everybody that man, I'm sitting right, I'm sitting
right across from y K Nice and it's just everybody
is in there. That Kevin Gates is right there right
by me, Like the actresses and actors are right in front,
from black from Black af Like I'm just looking everywhere
I look. There's stars common I'm every way you look.

It's Black star power. And I said, like this, this
is one to me again, I'm gonna keep I'm gonna
keep saying it. They should have and they got great
sponsors as well. But I just think everybody, any brand
in the world should want to be If you want
to be a part of Black People, you should be
a part of the BET Awards. Absolutely, man so so, so,

what was your favorite part? Who we think had the
best performance? Oh, best performance or just favorite part because
the whole show was good.

Favorite part where I lost my mind? Lauryn Hill Tribute.
I lost my mind.

I sang every word to the top of my lungs
because I love Lauryn Hill's music. I love that album,
the Stuff of Foujie's. They did Lauryn Hill's tribute to
Perfection and I like that. She even performed her own
records too, Like that turned me up like that. But
other notable ones is Cardi B of course, t I
I think that was the perfect way to start the show.

records that she was performing, but then they was just
coming back and I was thinking, like, damn them all,
off them all off.

My favorite part of the show was it was like

one right of like we're getting ready to start the show.
O Marion comes up and he's dancing. I look over
to Kiki and she's helping. She taking pictures with people
like she ain't even paying attention. I'm like, kick, she
ain't paying attention. Then she finally stopped and sees something.

She like Zach that on't my man. I can tell
you that. She can't tell me he was doing this.

over there Edmonds walking over, but I'm watching them. This

of wandering. All people are stopping them because they famous.
They stopping them. A Marion's like, come on, man, we
gotta do kekey station. Come on, come on, I'm watching him.
He pointed, like we gotta do kekey straight and walk
and walking over, walking them over. I'm like, damn, this
is crazy. They are. What's up, girl, what's up? I'm

this is this is literally crazy. How how much these

They actually I think that I had interviewed them years
years ago when they were in the in the Vibe
when they were younger. I ain't gonna lie. I was like, man,

And the world likes to this fake internet hate or
you know, all these men. It's really a lot of men.
The women understand their simon. I've never seen so many
men make videos and think pieces about a boy mand
It's so crazy. But that just shows you the impact
of what they bring to the culture. B two K
has managed to stay relevant in some way or capacity,

whether it's love and hip hop, baby Mama, Drama, Daddy this.
They have stayed on everybody's algorithms since the two thousands
and we and it's like, get these boys.

They respect.

At this point, when they walked into the radio room,
everybody wanted them and this is okay, y'all the versus
thing and they have it went but that that what
does it do? Just raise their profile. Now everybody wants
to talk to them about it. And so I'm just
I'm proud of my boys. I love to see them anytime.
And when they walked up, Omaron literally was like he

was confused because I was behind the camera and he
was like, what are you doing?

All right, and then he come yeah, and then he
goes and I got this and this is on video
and it will be posted at some point. I just
got to get my man right. He says to me
before we start the interview, you still you and your
dude still together, like just out of know where, out
of nowhere. And I go, I'm like, oh, Mario, I
don't need that kind of pressure, Like please.

It's crazy. I'm leaving a lot ours, I'm leaving a lot.
Why would he say that to you?

What I'm saying, like at this point, he trolls me,

Kiki also while doing everything whole she's recording anything that's

It's so fun. And then I like, when I get
a chance to impress Kiki, it's not many many times.

Ross came over, she was like, oh, you know.

I don't know everybody, you know everybody, so he really
knows the Dream, like the Dream really knew him and
was like happy to sit down and talk with him

I think y'all should just have this moment because I'm
looking at the chemistry and it's like this brotherhood, you

So my flight got delayed. But Zach was able to
attend the verses.

And honestly, Pretty Ricky was one of my favorite groups.
It was funny, like somebody who knew me in high
school they had DMM, was like, it's so funny that
you're actually there because they know how much I loved
Pretty Ricky and how much I played Pretty Ricky songs
in high school.

They breached out.

They was my soundtrack in high school. No, lie, we
listened to Pretty Ricky. You know what I'm saying, Chicken,
my car is Pretty Ricky on non stop, and so
I sang every song to the I lived my best
life on Thursday night, okay, and the battle.

The battle went like I thought.

Now, Kiki, I hate to tell you this because I
saw it. I know you saw it on TV. What
I B two K won one round in that versus
on not because as we know, B two K has

of Girlfriend. I said, oh, snap, it's going down, crowd
going crazy. I think Pretty Ricky saw that, and he said,
we gotta hit him with our best shot.

Pretty Ricky came back with grind on me.

First one out the gate, their biggest record, first one
out the gate. I said, whoa, we got a battle.
B two K said, okay, uh huh. Hit him with
ah huh, dance moves and everything, y'all. It was heated
in there. Then Okay said, okay, you got u huh.
They went your body, everybody turning up right back at them.

I got new shoes on my ride, yes, sir, running
down ninety five.

It was going crazy. Then they hit him with another one. Wow.

It wasn't why I Love You another I actually got
the gun up. It wasn't everything. It was one of
their big ones. Then Pretty Ricky came back with another one.
Started to get out of hand after round four. Okay,
they was running out and Pretty Ricky kept going boom
boom bo, and everybody knew it. We saw it. Pretty
Ricky felt it. B two K felt it. They was collaborating.

Tone do you remember Alan Iverson when the Lakers was
when the Lakers was sweeping because he gonna understand this analogy.
Do you remember when the Lakers were sweeping everybody in
the playoffs that one year they didn't lose but one

I got and they dropped it. The whole crowd was
