And you know outside today it was nice and sonny
and a little warm out there. That's the time of
basket or time of the year that the tournament happens
here in basketball, and it's just great to come inside
when it starts getting a little cooler in the evening.
And we got high school basketball here at the Dina
High School.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
This is the first tournament accent for both teams. A Dina.
They come in thirteen and eight overall eight and six
in the Siota Valley Conference.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
That was good for third place.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Sims Valley ten and ten overall six and four in
the Southern Ohio Conference Division two. That's good for third
place as well. Yeah, so we got.

Two third place teams from their respective leagues coming in
here tonight and you know, it's it's a game that
I think on paper, Adena is probably the better team,
But you got a Simms Valley team who likes to
shoot a lot of threes.

If they're on, they can be on fire, but if
they're off, they're gonna give you a lot of chances
to break away and get some easy layups. So this
Adena team tonight, they got to come out. They don't
worry about what Sims Valley's.

They got to come out and play good Adena basketball.
They're winners of their six of their last seven, so
they're picking at the right time.

When you look at both of these teams since the
new year, like you said, Adena's nine and three on
two of their losses were tos Ay and Trace and
you and you are the top teams in their conference.
And for Sims Valley, they're eight and four since January second,
and they had a six game losing streak going back
to December. So they're a team that's been kind of

inconsistent this year, but since the new year they've kind
of figured things out.

Yeah, and it's hard to play a team that likes
to shoot a lot of threes, because you know, they're
gonna make some and you know, when they're putting up
three and you're making two, that's sometimes hard to stay
up with. But I think Adina playing at a home here.
This is a long trip for Simms Valley to come
up here to Frankfurt, and you know it was nice outside,

so they were sitting on a bus. Sonny probably getting
a little tired. So we'll mark that up as a
plus for the Adena Warriors when we.

Look at aDNA offensively forty nine point five points per game,
defensively giving up forty four point seven. Their last game
was on a week ago Friday. It was a win
thirty eight to twenty eight against Miller. Colton Garrison was
sixteen points, Cooper dad with fourteen points. Joey Francis did

week in practice and coach day and the coach staff said,

had to step up and in that game, Cooper Day
with fourteen points. He's really come along as a sophomore.

For Sims Valley offensively fifty six point four points per game,
defensively giving up fifty four point six. Their last game
was on Saturday. It was a loss to South Gallia. Now,
this Simms Valley team is a team that's played some
better competition down there in the deep part of Southern Yes,

fifty seven points.

So you know, you can look at of a whole
different types of But this Adenas team can really play defense,
