Speaker 1 (00:02):
This is high school baseball on ninety four Country WKKJA.
Now from behind home plate, here's Liu Postage.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, pleasant, good evening to you. Welcome to v A
Memorial Stadium for another high school baseball in the matchup,
and tonight we have the Chillicothe Cavaliers taking on the
Waverley Tigers in some non league action, both teams coming
in at three and three. Jacob Wise with you along
with Lou Postage and back in the studio Sydney Knewsome
producing the broadcast today. Glad to have you with us. Lou.

(00:36):
We have been very lucky so far. We had two
games last week, both of them were one run games.
We think this would be a pretty good game as well.
But even beyond that, you're taking credit for the excellent
weather we've had in all three of our broadcasts so far.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
I tell you what, when I looked at the schedule
and picked out some games, you know, you never know
about the weather, But soon as I put them on
the board, here we go. So hopefully the rest of
the way we have great weather like that on Thursdays
here here on out. So if you want good weather,
call up WKKJA and we'll we'll have a game put

(01:10):
on the schedule and we'll guarantee weather.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
We'll send loo to your house for the weekend and
they'll bring the sunshine. I think we were eighty one
and sunny last Thursday. We were about seventy seven and
sunny on Friday, and then they got cold all week.
And we come back here today and it's seventy seven
and plenty of blue sky and sunshine. A little overcast
here today, win blowing out toward right center field. That
should be for makings for another good one. Here you

(01:35):
look at these two teams. Waverley will run down their
starting lineups here as they finish their warm ups. Waverley
will be the home team. This is their home game.
They've moved here to the VA and that's how the
games here at the VA are the rest of the
season until they get to tournament time. So Waverley will
be the home team. Their lineup looks like this. Kh
Alexander will lead off and do the catching. Caleb coxelbat

(01:57):
second at shortstop, Braylan's spring so bat third in place
center field, first baseman Xander Toller in the cleanup spot.
Pitcher Landon Ramie bats fifth to third baseman, Cayden Thornsberry
bats sixth, batting seventh, it's the DH, cale Nisley Tyler
Balleen will bat eighth at second base, left fielder Hudson
Harris bats ninth and on the mound. For the Waverley Tigers,

(02:21):
we mentioned Landon Ramie. The DH is taking the place
of the right fielder Gavin Roberts, who we will see
once Waverley is in the field. So again for the Tigers,
who come in at three and three, kg Alexander does
the catching, Caleb Cox at short, Brayln Spriggs and Senator
Xander Toller at first, Landon Ramie the pitcher, Cayden Thornsberry

(02:42):
at third, kil Nisley the DH, Tyler Balleen at second,
Hudson Harrison left, and Landon Ramie does the pitching. Now
the opponent, the Chilicothee Cavaliers. We had them here on
Friday in a tough one run loss to Zane Trace,
and now they take on Waverley. They come in at
three and three. Both these teams very young coming in

(03:03):
and both coaches saying they've both been up and down.
Chillicothey will go Connor Bowling at third, Jayden Gallagher in
left field, batting second. Tay Harris will bat third to
do the pitching is Shaun Brown bats fourth at shortstop.
Rucker Daddy will play right field in bat fifth. First
baseman Aiden Scales bat sixth. The center fielder James wrinklebats seventh.
Landon Day will bat eighth and be the DH. Mason Jacobson,

(03:27):
the catcher, bats ninth and in the field. Jayden Johnson
will play second base and not bat again, bowling at third.
Gallagher and left Harris the pitcher, Brown at short deady
and right Scales at first, Wrinkle the center fielder, Day
the DH. Jacobson the catcher. Johnson will only play defense
out at second base. For the Chillicothee Cavaliers Waverley Tigers

(03:51):
in their orange uniform jerseys with the gray pants. They
have black caps, black numbers on the back with the
white outline. Chillicothie will wear their blue jerseys, the royal
blue jerseys with the gray numbers on the back with
the white outline. They wear gray pants with the blue
stripe down the side and it looks like they have
a white cap with a blue bill and the Chillicothy

(04:12):
seat on the front. All turf surface here at VA
Memorial Stadium, three to twenty five down the lines, about
three sixty to the alleys, in just shy of four
hundred to center field. It's in a twelve foot wall
all the way around except for the section in front
of the scoreboard and left center that is an eight
foot wall seventy seven degrees and sonny for this one,

(04:33):
as both these teams look to get back over the
five hundred mark on the season. You've got Jeff Noble,
who's a coaching legend in the Waverley dugout. Tom Barb
been doing this for a while coaching for the Cavaliers
as well, but he won't be here at the start
of the game with some family business to attend to. Today.
We'll pause for the national anthem first pitch between Chillicothy

(04:56):
and Waverley. After this on ninety four Country WKKJ.

Speaker 6 (05:57):
It's time from ninety four Country wkk the Scioto Valley's
home for today's country.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
And just about ready for baseball. Here at VA Memorial
Stadium again Chilicothee taking on the Waverley Tigers. Here at
the home of the Chillicothee Paints. Jacob Whi is with you,
along with Lou Postage Sydney Newsom back in studio. Game
number three so far on our high school baseball schedule
here on WKKJ. We've got the next two Thursdays on

(06:38):
the schedule as well, and then Lou will go from there.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Yeah, and you know, it's been great.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
I love getting out here to the VA Memorial Stadium,
A great place to watch baseball and call the game.
And here you got a nice colorful uniform. Wise, you've
got the two tone green and in the grass, and
we got a standoff here for the baselines as both
teams were standing there for the national anthem.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
It's automatic ejection in college baseball, not looked upon super
favorably here at the VA, considering the location. And now
the umpire is saying, go to your dugout so and
we'll clear that up. Left hander on the mound for
the Waverley Tigers, who unofficially have won the anthem standoff
here and again Waverley the home team, so they will

(07:26):
take the field first. Landon Raimie will get to start,
the left hander. I believe it's his first start of
the year. He has appeared in two games. He's thrown
three innings, an zero to one record. Coming in. Talking
to head coach Jeff Noble beforehand, he said, yeah, he's
still working to try to be in the in the
strike zone regularly, try to throw more strikes. But boy,
that's that's everybody this time here, isn't it.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Sure is.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
We've seen some great pitching though in our short while
here this year. But you know it's a non league game,
so you want to get some other guys out there
and give him a chance. So this is a great
opportunity for him, and both these teams really when you
look at him, haven't scored a lot of runs. Both
these teams right around five runs a game offensively, So
both these teams looking to find some offense.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
No better time than the present. Tell you what the
warm up pitches look good. I don't have heights and weights.
We're mostly on the rosters for baseball season. We get number, name,
and position. Sometimes we usually get the class that they are.
In Landon Raimius is senior left hander, so good size
out there on the mound as well, and as a hitter.

(08:33):
Sometimes those big left handers like that looks like they're
throwing the ball from the clouds and if they come
over the top, that ball comes down at such an angle.
It's hard to be on plane, as they say, with
the bat. And we'll see if he can be in
the zone. And a lot of times when you get
in the zone, more can Sometimes it feels counterintuitive. You

(08:55):
get in the zone more, you get more outs, not
because you're not walking guys, but it forces batters to
go up there and swing and not be on their
back foot.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
And it no pitch clock in high school baseball obviously,
but tell you what, it has done a good job
to where these high schoolers are not taking very long
in between pitches. They get the ball and they're ready
to go. And you know, we'd liked to see that.
We you know, want to see them come right at them.
And so far that's what we've seen here in this

(09:27):
warm up pitches. We'll see if that carries over to
the game.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
For a long time, you heard coaches all over say,
you know, you're you're in charge on the mound. Game,
moves at your pace, take your time. But that almost
got too exaggerating. You still have to have some rhythm
when you're on the mount of the Paint's philosophy has worked.
Fast throws strikes. First pitch on the way here from
the left hander is popped up over toward first base

(09:51):
intofoul territories. Andrew Toller, with the sunglasses on, makes the
grab over his head. One pitch, one out. We're underway
here at five oh nine seventy seven degrees at first
pitch and a partly cloudy, beautiful day, so one out
here to start it as Jaden Gallagher, the left fielder,
will step in.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
Yeah, that is very fishing pitches, right there, one pitch,
one out, and here we go.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
Can't start a game much better than that lefty lefty
match up here. First, one on the way swinging a
miss on a pitch up in the zone. Sometimes when
you're a left handed batter and that pitch comes in
from the lefty kind of up and in, it looks
like a beach ball. Yeah. Oh, one line back towards

(10:37):
center field. That'll drop for a bass hit in front
of Spriggs and center who was racing in had to
put on the brakes. So Jaden Gallagher with the bass
hit and one out base runner.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah, took that right back up the middle there. Nice
swing there, Like you said, he saw those two pitches
pretty well.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
So a runner at first. One out for the Chilicothee
pitcher Tay Harris batting the three hole, takes in on
the right side, hitting three point thirty three to start
the year. Couple of doubles, his square to bunt and
al pulls out of it as Ramy steps off the
rubber for Waverley.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
To make sure his defense was set there. He looked
at the third basement, made sure he was.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Ready squaring around again here and now back to his
normal stance. First pitch here fastball just missed. Four ball one.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
Yeah, that looked pretty good.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
A little high maybe, but again, uh, Harris just trying
to maybe get him off his rhythm here with the pitches.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
One, oh, missus upstairs, two ball snow strikes to Tay Harris.
Who he's going. He doesn't have his car, he doesn't
have his play card up there, So back in the
box here on the right side Harris with a red

(12:00):
protective shin guard over his front leg, covering the top
of the foot as well. Two oz pitch on the
way line toward the left and past the diving shortstop
into left field. Base hit for Tay Harris and Chilicothy
with back to back one out singles has him at
first and second with one out.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yeah, two really good solid contacts there by the number
two and three hitter for Chillicothe.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Get ahead in the count two and oh you can
sit fastball and Ty didn't miss it. So runners at
first and second is Sean Brown will step in fourth
batter of the ball game, shortstop hitting two to eighty six.
He's driven in three digs in on the right side,
slightly open stands that front leg farther toward third, and
then the back leg takes a strike on the outside

(12:48):
corner to start Cavaliers hitting two fifty seven as a team.
They've driven in twenty three runs through their first six games.
They've done some damage on the bases, though, twenty two
steals in six games. A four to sixteen on base
percentage oh one from the lefty swinging a bess at

(13:12):
a breaking ball gets by Alexander the catcher and both
runners they'll move up, so Gallagher to third, Harris to second.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
Think will that go down as a pass ball?

Speaker 2 (13:29):
That's hard to hard to say, depends on if the
score is pro pitcher or pro I would lean passball,
you'd have to reach for it.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Anyways, it's two runners in scoring position for Chilicoth.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
The year go to the county is Sean Brown. The
left handed Raimie fires and this one has swung on
and fouled back to the backstop, so stays nothing in two.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Like how chilicoth It's batters have been very aggressive. They're
not waiting, not sit back. They get a pitch a like,
they're going after it.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
I had to pop up on the first pitch to
start the ball game and then back to back well
hit singles from Gallagher and Harris. The pass ball moves
them to second and third with one out. Oh to
the count to the cleanup man e Sean Brown, the
pitch swinging a foul. Did he get a piece of it? No,
he's headed toward first base to throw down to put
him out at first for out number two. Both runners

(14:26):
stay put as Brown, who's out on the strikeout with
a two to three put out, and Rucker Daddy will
bat here with two on and two down. And how
much should we see in both games? We did? But
the Chilicothe game as well against seeing trace last Friday.
Able to get runners on base, but bringing them home
is another story.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Yeah, and that goes back to the first game we
did too. You Andniota, they left a lot of runners
on base too. You get those opportunities. You got to
get them in left handed hitting.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Rucker Daddy digs in hitting two fifty again, runners hit
second and third, two down here on the top of
the first no score yet first offerings swung on and
popped up and over the roof behind home plate. Land
and Raimi try to work around two base hits for

(15:17):
Chillicothe here in this first inning. I'm sure that'd give
Waverley a little bit of a lift going into the
dugout that they can strand both of those Now, the
one pitch breaking ball stays up, evens it up at
a ball and a strike.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Yeah, most of his misses have been high here early
in the game. That last one he got Eashaan Brown
on a low and away pitch.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Gallagher at third, Harris at second. Here's the one to one,
swinging a liner to arts center field. It's down for
a base hit in from third, Gallagher, Harris around from third.
He will score standing up as the throw goes to second,
and it's so two runs single for Rucker Deddy, who
has his first two RBIs of the year, and Chilcathy
will play from in front. It's two to nothing here

(16:07):
in the top of the.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
First nice single there found an opening just beyond the
second basement. And I was just getting ready to say Waverley,
especially the center fielder playing awfully shallow. If that ball
gets in the gap, it's gonna go aways.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
So third hit here in this first inning, and Aiden
scales the first basement. I'll get a chance to bat
with the man at first and two down two runs
on three hits so far for the Cavaliers. Man this
one in for a strike. You go back to the
pass ball right now, that's worth a run yep to Chilicothe.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
Yeah, that's a huge difference there.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Now the one from Raimi and therefore a called strike
down and on the inside part of the zone.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
And again Rucker Deddy just a freshman. So great job
their piece of hitting there by the young man.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
And the two from Land and Ramie, and time called
in the box reset things.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
I know these kids, a lot of kids, they play
a ton of summer ball and things like that, but
it's a big step to come from junior high up
to the high school level here at Di Varsity.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Absolutely two swinging a miss got them with the breaking ball,
second strike out of the inning for Land and Ramy.
But the Cavaliers score two runs, three hits. It was
a two run single from Rutger Daddy with two outs,
half the Cavaliers on top two to nothing after half
an inning here at the VA. This is high school
baseball on that eighty four country. WKKJ.

Speaker 7 (17:44):
Have you ever worked your butt off to make something
happen only get kicked in the gut and feel like
a failure. Hey, it's Jen Cony with Homelands by Jen.
That exact thing happened to Whitney and Adam. They listened
to their loan officer. They did everything he said to do,
only to be told no at closing day. Then he
heard me talking to y'all in the radio and decided
to take another chance. After working a quick plan for approval,

(18:05):
they were in contract and closed in fourteen days. Do
not waste your time getting kicked in the guts. Call
me first seven four zero eighty one for seven six
zero a ply online at eighty one for seven six
zero dot com. And then the less number three four
for six equal housing one.

Speaker 6 (18:20):
Ninety four Country w KKJ, the Scioto Valley's home for
today's country.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Bottom of the first inning here at VA Memorials Stadium,
already two to nothing, Chillicothee. They hit back to back
one out hits in the top of the first from
Jaden Gallagher and Tay Harris, and after a wild pitch
or a pass ball, whichever, the scoring decision was moved
him the second and third, and with two outs, Rucker
Detty knocked them both home with a line drive to
center field. And so Tay Harris, the starting pitcher for Chillicothe,

(18:52):
gets to go to the mound with the lead. There's
not too many things I can imagine better than that
as a starting pitcher. When you go to the mound
for your first inning of work, you've already got a
couple of runs. Tay one to oh. So far this
season on the mound, he's thrown nine in a thirty innings,
allowed fourteen hits, struck out seven, walk nine, comes in
with an ERA of six seventy five. I'll face this

(19:16):
Waverley Tigers lineup that comes in hitting two point fifty
nine with ten doubles through their first six games.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
Yeah, this is a team, as I said, still looking
for runs though they you know, hitting them all pretty well.
But again that's one thing. Getting on and getting him
in is another. So Alexander to lead him off here,
and I believe he leads a team in extra base hits.
I'd like to get him on if you're Waverley and

(19:49):
get something started here early.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Cage Alexander with three doubles in a triple so far
on the season, waiting Tay Harris finishing up his warm
up tosses always get more of that first time out.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
You're talking about Alexander Man. What a season he had
on the basketball court. Ye handles the ball the majority
of the time, was able to score.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
In various ways.

Speaker 3 (20:17):
And that's a team that has got a lot of
guys coming back after their district final loss to Circleville.
So there'll be a team that many teams will be
looking at next year as one of the favorites.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
So the left handed hitting catcher Cage Alexander will lead off,
getting three sixty eight to start the spring season for him,
seven hits in nineteen at bats. It's the first pitch,
just inside the ball, waitefully coming off of four to
two win over Southwestern. All right, excuse me, south Webster,

(20:57):
brain freeze there from all the pitch upstairs two and
zero four two last night before turning right back around here.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Yeah, this is week two, the basically baseball season. We
get league plays started this week.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Two oh pitch, missus three and oh Now to the
leadoff man, KG Alexander two nothing Chili Coffees Waverley bats
for the first time. Here in the bottom of the
first three to zero pitch, here's a strike called on
the outside edge. Three and one. I think both coaches
feel like they have very similar teams coming into this

(21:35):
one three to one swinging a miss and that'll fill
it up. Three balls and two strikes to Alexander, the
leadoff batter for Waverley here in the first.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
A lot of sophomores and freshmen on both these teams.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
Three two from Harris, the right hander fires, and this
one fought back off the front of the roof. You'd
ask either one of them and they'll tell you we're
up and down so far. Typical inexperienced fairly at the
varsity level. Another three to two from Tay Harris is
low ball four and Waverley has the leadoff bat or

(22:13):
on via the walk and Caleb Cox, the shortstop will
step in.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Don't have any stolen base numbers on Waverley, but you
gotta think Alexander has got the capability over there.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Now you know he can run. Caleb Cox sticks in
on the right side, partially closed stance. Don't see that
quite as much as the open stance. Writer takes offt
pitchway inside, thrown out. His second is not in time
and Alexander takes second base. So immediately after the walk

(22:50):
a runner into scoring position here for Waverley, trailing two
nothing in the first.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
Hey, you talk about that closed dance.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
He's really close with that front and foot to the plate.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
Here's the one. Oh look back to second. Now the
pitch and it's low for a ball two and zero.
Won't find too many players around the area more comfortable
in these confines than Caleb here. Basically grown up at
this ballpark. Love the shoes they match. I appreciate that

(23:25):
they match. Yes, there's Jordan's almost there's a nice bunt,
good hard butt down the third base line in the
third basement. Connor Bowland wasn't sure what to do with it.
He fields it about fifteen feet in front of third base.
Everybody's safe. It's a bunt single for Caleb Cox.

Speaker 3 (23:43):
I think about staying there because you thought the ball
may get to him in time to maybe make him
play on a guy coming to third. But great bunt
thereby a Cox and just no man's laying.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
And the speed really threw him off, didn't and he
and hesitation was enough to make it so they had
no shot at first base. And Braylan sprigs digs in
the center field. A runners on the corners nobody out.
He squares the bunt. First pitch here is buy the
catcher coming in from third, throw the plate not in

(24:15):
time and in with the head. First dive is cage.
Alexander cuts to CHILICOTHI lead in half. It's two to one.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Well, that's how you make the most of your opportunities,
make things happen.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
That one probably goes as a wild pitch. Caleb Cox
goes to second on the back end, so a runner
at second nobody out here in the bottom of the
first one oh pitch high and tight. Brailn Spriggs nine
for twenty two at the plate to start the year,
hitting four h nine and they're on the right side.

(24:53):
Harris fires way high, three and zero. Third batter the
inning for Waverley, third batter of the ballgame for them.
But already a lot has happened. Walk one single stolen base,
wild pitch. We'll run home from the stretch. Here's the

(25:19):
three to zero from Tay Harris, and that one in
for a strike on the outside corner makes it three
and one. Tay Harris threw it pretty well on the
football field this fall to step in a quarterback. When
Andrew Hammond was injured three one down the left field line.
It'll go toward the deck in foul as it bangs

(25:42):
off the wooden deck in the left field corner.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
It might be one of the longest ones we've seen
hit here this early season.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Jumped off the bat, didn't it? So full count here
to Braylen's Spriggs Rodert second, nobody out, sollakothe two. Waverley
won here in the bottom of the first, and I'll
have to chase that ball down. Break that big boss,

(26:15):
all you bet. Cox out at second gets his lead.
Tay Harris off the first base side of the rubber,
right handed, fires that one hit well toward the gap
and left center will drop for a base hit. They
will wave Caleb Cox around third, throw to the plate,
cut off by the third baseman, and Cox tumbles into
the plate for the run to tie to two. An

(26:37):
RBI base hit from Braylen Spriggs on a three to
two count.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
Yeah again, he tied that up perfect And that was
hit hard right there in uh left field, and uh
Cox made it kind of interesting coming into home plate there.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
I don't know if he got a cleak cot in
the turf or what happened there. Maybe he started to
slide and then tried to stay up when the throw
got cut off. Here's Xander Toller, the cleanup man, first
baseman betting in the four hole, takes inside a ball,
So Chilicothe scores two runs on three hits in the
top of the first. Waverley answers quickly. First three batters

(27:15):
have reached two runs are home to tie it. So
nobody out and the one to zero runs way upstairs
to and oh.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Yeah, both pitchers missing a lot upstairs here tonight.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Runner at first being held on by Scales. Here's the
ball swung out and skied into fairly deep left field.
Gallagher racing back, looking up and tried to make an
over the shoulder catch. It bangs off the warning track
onto second base, is Toller. Now they're going to send
the runner home. Throw to the plate not in time,
and the runner on the back end. We'll go to third.

(27:52):
So Waverley takes a three to two lead on an
RBI double from Xander Toller. I think sprigs intention was
to stop at third, but Gallagher and Wrinkle out there
and left center field, taking a bit of time to
get the ball in. They sent him home.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Yeah, what that ball went a long way. I didn't
think it was hit that well. I thought he got
underneath of it. The man did that go long. Wain
Galladic did a great job going after, but just couldn't
make the over his shoulder catch.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
The first pitch here to land In Ramie the Waverley pitcher.
He is in there for a strike. So the first
four batters have reached for Waverley. Here in the first
the first three have scored and the other one standing
at third base corners playing in for Chillicothee the old
one chopper towards second to get the run home. Three
bounce of off the turf. Johnson backhands throws the first

(28:45):
four the first out as Toller's scorers to make it
four to two. Waverlely rbi ground out for land and Ramie.

Speaker 5 (28:56):
Well.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
We talked about these teams needed to do a better
job of getting run runners that are in scoring position
in and so far both teams have done a pretty
good job of that early on.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
So Kayden Thornsberry steps in on the right side. Seventh
batter of this first inning for Waverley takes strike one.
Thornsberry three for ten out the plate to start the
year nobody on one. Out here at the bottom of
the first four to two Waverley, the pitch skied into
center field, not deep wrinkle with the sunglasses on, reaches

(29:31):
up with the right hand and hauls it in for
out number two and now nobody on two down for
Kale Nisley, sophomore. DH hasn't had a lot of opportunity
this year. He's one for two at the plate and
he goes up there and puts his toes all the

(29:52):
way across the white line of the batter's box. You
won't get any closer than that to the plate, and
he immediately takes the first pitch fastball, probably on the
inner third, but it was under the elbows.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
Basically tell you what that front elbows almost in the strikes.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
I think it's over the plate. Go one. This is
down loadown. When you're on the grass and the dirt,
you can go up there and rub that line out
of the way and kind of fudget a little bit.
But on the turf you can't do much about it.
Here's the one one and the pitch here in for

(30:27):
a strike one and two.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Yeah, that'd be tough to hit a inside pitcher unless
you really get a quick bat on it.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
One two strike three call got him on the inside corner,
looked way in because of the stance about a strikeout
into the ending, but not before Waverley scores four times
on three hits and after one here at the VA,
It's Waverley for Chillakothe two. This is high school baseball

about his little girl's musical talent.

Speaker 2 (31:01):
I let her teach me to play the ukulele.

Speaker 9 (31:03):
Now, so we sit down and we play together, and
it's amazing to me how she that's how she learned
going on and watching all those you like. She watching
for hours and she'll come back and just play songs.
And I love it. And so I'm letting her teach
me chords and stuff like that. I'm playing that.

Speaker 6 (31:25):
The Scioto Valley's home for ten day's Country ninety four
Country w KKJ.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
Well, we were talking last half inning when Tay Harris
went to the mountain to make his start and saying, hey,
great to go to the Mountain for the first time
of the day and have a two nothing lead. Well,
the other thing that might be nice is when you
give up a couple of runs your first time out
to start the ballgame, the next time you go out,
you're up two runs. So four to two Waverley after one.

(31:52):
As we start the second inning, bottom third duo up
for Chellcathy. James Wrinkle, Landon Day and Mason Jacobson built
teams with three hits in that first inning.

Speaker 5 (32:02):
It's a winter pitcher. You know your team.

Speaker 3 (32:04):
As you're back there, you say my bad and they
come and get your four runs.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
I'm not sure we had. We didn't. So we had
a three to two game and a four to two
game last week, and we've already basically hit the totals
of what we had in our first two broadcasts. So
here we knew we weren't going to get a bunch
of low scoring games. That's just not the way high
school baseball goes.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Yeah, we've only had one left on base too. You
have six runs and only one left on.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
That one that was left on drove in two, so
it's been pretty efficient both ways through an inning. James
Wrinkle will lead off the center fielder batting two eighty six.
We'll step in here on the left side. Landon Rainey,
the left hander back up on the rubber for the
Waverley Tigers. One of those orange uniforms Tigers US the

(33:00):
chest in script black with a white outline. Pitch outside.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Really, I like, really a lot of color contrast today
the royal blue of Chilicothy, the orange and black of Waverley,
the you know two tone green grass.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
One oh in for a strike, one and one. I
like the color on color versus you know, somebody wearing
gray and somebody wearing white.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
What did they call that in the NFL? Color blast
or color color rush or something?

Speaker 2 (33:30):
Color rush? There you go, which it? Let it happen
more teams that have different colors. Here's the one to
one Nope time called by the whole point umpire before
that pitch could be thrown.

Speaker 5 (33:46):
And the sun really helps with the color.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
The very sunny out there. One one pitch missed it
low and away. I always thought to be you know,
during football season, if you could get like Ohio State
and their red playing, you know, if they're playing UCLA,
let them where they're they're light blues.

Speaker 5 (34:04):
Yeah, that's really neat how U s la and us
he always done that?

Speaker 2 (34:09):
Pitchdown low here three and one, four to two Waverley
after one first batter here in the second inning of
three to one count to James Wrinkle, lefty lefty matchup
to three to one. Pitch is up high ball four
and a lead off walk, and Jolikafi has a man

(34:31):
on here to start it. First walk issued by the
left handed land and Raimie, and the Land and Day
will come to the plate for the Cavaliers.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
Yeah, he's the d H here tonight, correct.

Speaker 10 (34:48):
He is.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
Hasn't had a lot of opportunity, just one for three
at the plate this year. Drawing in is the DH
all popped up off the fists toward first and goes
off the tip of the glove. Xander Toler racing down
from first base right down the line try to reach
out for it, and wonder if he got hung up

(35:10):
there a little bit trying to hold on the runner
at first base.

Speaker 3 (35:14):
Fortunately that landed in fowl territory, not fair terry.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
So one here to Land and Day. The pitch strike
called on the outside corner. Nothing in two middle infield

(35:42):
here for Waverley playing for the double play ball, and
they step off and they bluff throw over the first
base by Raimi Forts's wrinkle backhead first. Now the runner
goes the early pitch high thirty second. It's a good
one and the tag not quite there, could slide to

(36:02):
the back of the bag by wrinkle to steal it.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
Yeah, if he slides in the front, I think he's
out there, so great slide there, but even better throw.
Got a catcher there, Alexander.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
He got a great jump and Cage still nearly got him.
Takes away the double play opportunity. Here's the one two
pitch fastball Waved that had missed for strike three, ran
it up and away from the right handed hitting landon day,
strike out number three for Land and Ramie and one
out here and the top of the second inning four

(36:34):
to two. Waverley leads. Mason Jacobson will bat for the
first time today. First at bat from what we can
tell here on the season, first offering from Land and
Ramie swinging a miss.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
Got a nice powder blue bat out there.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Now the O one fastball runs in ball and a strike.
It's a part of the order. Hopefully your dugouts letting
you know and keeping track of where you are in
the order. You want to just make sure you don't
get too fancy here throw a bunch of strikes. That's
when just misses outside two and one.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
Yeah, that looked like a good pitch there, and the
doug out thought maybe it was a strike.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
From the dugout, it probably looked real good. Here's the
two one runner going to third, pitch high and no
throw to third. So Wrinkle stole second. Now he's taken third,
this time without a throw.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
It was almost a delayed steal there. It took the
couple hops and then took off.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
And with the right handed batter, they're kind of blocking
the throwing path. You can do that. You can't move
and get in the way, but you're allowed to stay
where you're at. You don't have to get out of
the way as the batter. So now runner at third
with one out, three to one, pitch up and away,
ball four, and Mason Jacobson works the walk. Joelacothy with

(38:16):
runners on the corners and one out back to the
top of the order. Connor Bollen popped out to first
base and foul ground to start the ballgame on the
game's first pitch and now comes up in an RBI spot,
trailing four to two. Here to Waverley.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
Now we get the defensive signals being barked out there.
Everybody knows what play is on here. With the guy
on first and third.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
It can get real tricky. First and third with less
than two outs. Raimy from the stretch fires breaking ball
swung out, a missed good pitch there to start it out.
If the guy at first takes off, do you throw
it down? Do you cut it off and try to
catch the guy at third? You've got signs on the

(39:11):
offensive end as well. A one pitch swung on, ripped
to left field, that's down for a base hit down
the line, and from third is Wrinkle. It's an RBI
base hit for Connor Bolan, who picks up his fifth
RBI of the year bags at a one run ball
game at four to three.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Hey, he turned on that one. He was ready for
that and drove it right over the third base, right.

Speaker 5 (39:32):
Down the line.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
So Wrinkle scores Jacobsen his second Tell you what does
a good job by Hudson Harrod Harrison left field to
get to that ball quickly. I thought that was headed
for extra bases off the bat.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
Yeah, if that gets by him and goes to the wall,
we're looking at a triple at least.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
First pitch here swung on a miss by gallagheru at
a base hit in the first inning. RBI spot here
with runners at first and second and one out, top
of the second inning, four to three Waverley, But the
Cavaliers already won here in the inning. And now two
on and one out, lefty lefty matchup here Raymie check

(40:16):
second base. The left hander delivers, and that one waved
out of mist on a pitch up and in.

Speaker 3 (40:23):
Yeah, he's like those inside pitches, both of those he'd
just swung in.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
Nice little hole over there on.

Speaker 3 (40:33):
The right hand side of the infield.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
Two again from Raymie kicks fires swing, Nope, he's able
to hold off on the high pitch this time. Now
Waverley in double play depth here and the first and
third basemen playing close to the bag, so pretty big
holes on either side of the middle infielders on the infield.
I think that's basement with a lefty at the plate,

(41:01):
which shade a little bit more towards the normal spot.
One two pitch this is low and away, and the
coaching staff for Waverley out of the third base dugout.
They're waving guys around, trying to get them back to
a defensive position in case the ball he's put in play.

Speaker 5 (41:20):
I think he's got the second basement.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
Now back over to the normal position and not up
the middle.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
You know a shortstop will play more in behind the runner.

Speaker 5 (41:30):
Two.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Two. Now the breaking ball slipped out early runs up
and in in a full count. Now to Jaden Gallagher,
runners at first and second. One out here in the
top of the second and think it's four to three
Waverley the Chilicothian business three to two. Pitch waved that
and missed Strake three. Good pitch away from the lefty

(41:50):
and strike out number four for Land and Raimie big
out number two.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Yeah, he came inside on that previous pitch, high end
inside that time he went away from him and it
had them all balance.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
So here's Tay Harris had a base hit score the
second of the two runs in the first inning for
ChIL Coffee first offering. Here breaking ball popped up out
of play over the right side. The defensive Shenanigans continue
out there in the middle of the infield. There's so

(42:26):
much going on. As a runner out there, you're trying
to listen. You're trying to keep an eye on one
of those fielders. Someone else is probably hollering. You know
behind you you got room. Oh one bounces in skips
away toward the dugout on the third base side, and
that I'll send both runners up ninety feet. So Jacobsen

(42:46):
a third and Bowland a second.

Speaker 3 (42:48):
On the wild pitch, Well, now you got two in
scoring position again for Harris up.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
You go from a good chance at a two out hit,
tying you up, to a two out hit here, putting
you back in front.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
And Harris is a pitcher, so this could help himself
out here.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Thinks back in on the right side, Ramie fires the
one one and it's a strike called up in the
zone one and two.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
Yeah, I think he wanted that one, but couldn't pull
the trigger.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Roders said, second and third, two down, a run home
for the Cavaliers. They trailed four to three. Here's the
one two pitch and the breaking ball slipped out again,
this time up and away, and the count even at
two balls two strikes. Looks like Vinton County has arrived.
They play the late game here at the Va tonight

(43:50):
against Miami. Trace two to two here from Land and
Ramie wing toward right center field, it'll drop for a bay.
Two runs score here for the Cavaliers, and with two
outs in two strikes, Tay Harris comes through with a
two run single and it puts Chillicothie back in front

(44:11):
five to four here in the second.

Speaker 3 (44:12):
Yeah, great job and just going right with the pitch
right where you pissed it to the outside.

Speaker 5 (44:17):
He just took it right out.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
There to the right field and found an opening and
helped himself out with two runs.

Speaker 2 (44:24):
And again a wild pitch allows an extra run to score.
So a runner at first with two down five to four,
Chilicothie back in front here in the second inning. Seventh
patter of the inning is Isean Brown Dixon. First offering

(44:44):
is a strike on the outside edge. Cavaliers now five
runs on five hits here early on oh one Chopper

(45:05):
towards shortstop, two bounces. Cox hasse it'll step and throw
to first and there's the third out, but the Cavaliers
going to out two run single from Tay Harris. They
score three in the inning, taking advantage of two hits
and two walks and after an inning and a half
here at the VA it's Chillicothe five, Waverley four. This
is high school baseball in ninety four Country. WKKJ.

Speaker 6 (45:58):
Ninety four Country WKKA.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
Yeah. Well, back and forth we go through it inning
and a half, five to four. Chilicothi leads. They scored
two runs in the top of the first, Waverley answered
with four in the bottom of the first. Chilicothy answers
with three and the top of the second, and now
Waverley gets its second chance at bat here in this

(46:23):
non league game, Jacob wise with you along with Lou
postage of Sydney Newsome producing back in the studio today
kind of barnburner here Early.

Speaker 3 (46:32):
Yeah talked about both teams having trouble scoring, but I
really like the way they've come out and been aggressive offensively.
We've seen a lot of good pitching early in the season,
but I think the great thing about the offense tonight
is they've just been aggressive, not allowing the pitchers to
take advantage and to get them in the holes when

(46:53):
they have the opportunity and that balls there they go
and start swinging at it.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
Well, we mentioned has arrived. They are dressed head to
toe in maroon with white pin stripes including the cap,
which is that's quite the look. It reminds me all
the way earlier today was listening to the Reds game
and they were talking about they just released their new
City connect jerseys. They're going all red, well not maroon rets.

(47:23):
I would argue a little bit better of a color,
but what can you do. But those have some pin
stripes in them too. But I don't think on the
cap that's like nineties Reds action.

Speaker 12 (47:33):
Huh.

Speaker 5 (47:33):
That's exactly right. That's what I was thinking.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
The old what they called them, the good humor uniforms
of the Reds there with the cherry on top of
the hat. So yeah, you know, I'm more traditional I
just like traditional uniforms, but you know, does City connect
uniforms last year are kind of neat and you know

(47:57):
it is it is good to see some change. I
guess it's growing on me how that.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
I think there's obviously a lot of people who love them,
and because if they didn't make money on them, they
wouldn't they wouldn't do them. Nike wouldn't do them. But
not a I'm a fan of some of them. Some
of them, I think they could do a little better,
do a little remix of them. Players seem to like him,

(48:24):
Rutger Daddy or excuse me, let's put the scorecard over.
Tyler Tyler Balleen will lead off here for Waverley eight
nine to one for the Tigers. Here in the bottom
of two, down five four to chili coffee, Tay Harris
fires and this one popped up out of play on
the right side. You a kid, tell you what I think.

(48:49):
Those Bnton County jerseys are growing on me though it's.

Speaker 3 (48:54):
It's it is quite the sight and we can't do
justice here on the radio.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
But one hit right through the right side of the
infield for a base hit and Balin laid off single
for Waverley who has hit number four in the ball game,
and Hudson Harris will step in for the first time tonight.

Speaker 3 (49:13):
That's the old adage, hit him where they or not,
and that was a perfect job of going with the pitch.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
We Willie Keeler, Hall of Famer, We Willy Keeler hit
it where they ain't.

Speaker 3 (49:25):
There's a lot of simples with baseball. See the ball,
hit the ball, hit him where they ain't.

Speaker 2 (49:32):
Quick throwback to first base and I dive back by Baleen.

Speaker 3 (49:36):
But again those are hall of famers making those comments
and not the normal.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
To base Baseball's at its heart a very simple game,
but it is not at all simple in practice. There's
this swing going to pop up back toward the pitcher's mound,
called off by the third baseman Bowling, who comes over
to make the catch, and Harris pops out for out.
Number one has to stay at first base. Now back

(50:01):
at the top of the order to cage Alexander, who
started the first inning with a walk in a stolen base,
and he was the first of four straight Waverley Tigers
to reach and score in that first inning, five to four.
Here Chillicothe in front the runner at first, one out
for Waverley and the bottom of two pitch, ump and away.

(50:25):
You get into all the stuff that Yogi was talking
about over the years.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
And yeah, you I'll tell you what. The game is
still good and they have great players. But characters, I'll
tell you what, there's not not much of those anymore.

Speaker 2 (50:44):
One to oh, pitch in there for a strike one
and one. I think they just try to hide it
a little bit more. You know now these cameras everywhere,
that's exactly some players you see when they get older,
they loosen up a little bit. Pitch outside two and one.

Speaker 3 (51:02):
I guess Swore is for the Reds. He'd be one
of those that be a little bit of a character.

Speaker 2 (51:08):
It's a great great to get him back. Two to
one pitch here from Tay Harris, a long look to
first base over the front shoulder, and time requested by
the batter of KG. Alexander steps out of the box.
Five runs, five hits, four runs, four hits so far

(51:30):
in this one, so five for Chilicothy, four four Waverley.
Here's the two to one pitch from Harris. Maybe here
it comes here, it's upstairs the ball.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
It's almost like that guy on first is really you know,
he's really worried about that.

Speaker 5 (51:51):
I think he just has a pitcher.

Speaker 3 (51:52):
You just got to attack the plate here with the
guy on first.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
The cheer I'm been away and that is ball four.
So a second walk issued by Tay Harris says Cage
Alexander to first base, both walks to him, and Baleen
goes to second base. So first and second and one
out for Caleb Cox, who had a beautiful bunt base

(52:20):
hit in the first inning. Jack, I'm gonna move some
runners again here, Harris check second base, right hander is
set at the belt, fires another hard bunt up the
third base line that goes foul just before it got
to the bag as Bowling goes over to scoop it up.

Speaker 3 (52:39):
That would have been an interesting plague in there if
by third base. But would he have been able to
get back to the bag quick enough for just throw
that on the first.

Speaker 2 (52:48):
I have to imagine they talked about that in the
dugout after that first inning. So nothing in one here
to Caleb Cox. The pitch ground ball toward third, one
bounce knocked out by a balling he steps on third.
That's the only play he has sharply hit ball a
bouncer to third by Cox will go to first on
the fielder's choice cage. Alexander up to second and out

(53:14):
of third bases balin on a five unassisted put out
for out number two. So first and second, two down
for Braylan Spriggs, who drove in a run and then
later scored in the first inning RBI spot for him.
Here Waverley down five to four in the bottom of
two Harris fires and the off speed in for a

(53:35):
strike that started out. So Brayln Spriggs, who came in
among the hitters in the lineup with the highest batting
average at four oh nine nine hits in twenty two
at bats, well, now he's ten for twenty three. Look
at it. Add on even more. Here's the one from
the right hander Tay Harris, hit hard to third but

(53:58):
gloved on two bounces by Bawling, steps on the bag
and the inning is over. So Waverley gets a lead
off bait and a walk, but they strand a couple
of runners after two. Here at the VA it's Chilcothee
five Waverley four on ninety four Country WKKJ.

The Scioto Valley's home for toenday's Country ninety four Country WKKJI.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
Four baseball game. As we go to the third here
at VA Memorial Stadium, five to four, it's a chillicothee
one run lead, two of the first, three in the second.
Hopefully got all four in the first, but stranded a
couple of runners just a moment ago in the second inning,
left handed Land and Ramy back out on the mound
for the Tigers.

Speaker 3 (55:13):
Yeah, that last half any And I'll tell you what.
Connor Bolden did a great job defensively.

Speaker 5 (55:17):
Number one.

Speaker 3 (55:18):
He made a call early when that ball went straight
up there in the infield, took control and was able
to catch it and then had two putouts there in
that ending, so great job down third base.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
I think all the outs were made by the third baseman.
They weren't. They had to pop up catch and then
both of those bouncers, one hit harder than the other
over to third base, but able to handle them all.
It's funny how the ball finds you sometimes. So Land

(55:49):
and Ramy will come out with four strikeouts, two each
and each of the first two innings. But those who
have been kind of mixed in with a lot of
other base runners a couple of walks. It's given up
five hits so far, five six, seven do up here

(56:12):
for Chillicothie Rucker, Daddy, Aiden Scales, James Wrinkle. It was
Deddy who had the two out, two run single in
the first to start the scoring. Rucker Daddy, a freshman
who played a bit on the football team as well.

(56:32):
This fall was looking at him from afar. Doesn't physically
look like a freshman. First offering here, strike caught on
the outside corner. Third baseman Kaden Thornsberry playing in over
there just in case oh one in tight Deddy won

(56:58):
of three left handers in the line up for Chillicothe
today one up against the lefty Land and Raimie now
the one one get hard ball just inside the bag
at third down into the right field corner is Gavin
Roberts chases it down, Deddy into second base hole, go

(57:20):
in there standing up with the leadoff double.

Speaker 5 (57:24):
Yeah, I have a day.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
Rucker Deddy two for two with a couple of RBIs
and now a double, the first extra base hit of
the year for Rucker Deddy and so one in scoring
position here to start the third for chillicothee is Aiden
Scales will step in strikeout, swinging his first time through

(57:48):
one of four strikeouts for Land and Ramie, who now
again has to work with runners on at number six,
are ready for Chillicothe, and now Raimi steps off the
rubber and fakes the throw towards second base.

Speaker 3 (58:04):
See Miami Tray's heading in here, and they got their
bright yellow half UNI's on. So it is color rush
day here at the BA Memorial Stadium pitch outside.

Speaker 2 (58:14):
I think it's safe to throw, you know, not where
you're white, because we saw last week a couple of
times both teams were wearing white. When you're playing a
neutral site like this although one team is technically they
know they're the home team going in. Here's the one
to zero and that one in for a strike.

Speaker 3 (58:38):
Yeah. Normally baseball teams have two uniforms multiple some may
have three.

Speaker 2 (58:45):
Here's the one to one and the breaking ball swung
on a missed upstairs one ball two strikes now to
eight in scales. Yeah, the traditionally white at home gray
on the road. Most teams then have at least a
third jersey with a you know, a different color other
than that to a school.

Speaker 5 (59:00):
Color and the white. You know, the mothers hated those.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
Especially if you're not playing on turf. Right, Yes, one
two pitch popped up behind the plate and then all
land on the roof. You're behind home plate still one
and two to aiden scales.

Speaker 3 (59:17):
My wife would always say, you know, whoever decided these
uniforms was not a mother, So hats off to all
the mothers out there that take care of the laundry
during baseball.

Speaker 2 (59:28):
Season can be fun. One two pitch inside two and two.
It's like the Paints have a home white jersey and
then have a navy jersey and a red jersey. They
don't do it gray because that way they can wear
all three uniforms at home. Gray at home would be
frowned upon. I think here's the two to two is
swing animus for strike three, number five for the left

(59:51):
hander Land and Raimi. Second time he's got Aiden Scales,
so a runner at second, one out for James Wrinkle,
who walks, stole two backs and scored in the last inning.
Now on an RBI spot with Chilicotty leading five to
four here in the third.

Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Yeah, talking about Chillicotti paines, we're getting close, starting to
steak up here.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
What end of May May twenty sixth on the road
for two in Johnstown and then first home game May
twenty eighth on Thursday. I'd like to open up on Thursdays.
First offering here a butt back to the mound. Raymy
backhands flips over to first base for the second out,
and Daddy will go to third. I will be generous

(01:00:34):
and give a sacrifice bunt the change a Wrinkle, so
two down and a runner at third. It'll be here quick.
Always find it interesting. You know, you've got all these
players from all over the country and some international. At
times they meet each other about two days before the

(01:00:57):
season starts. Is this one's fouled off on the right side.
I'm thinking one to Land a day. You get here,
here's your uniform, here's your coaches, here's your teammates, here's
your host family. You're gonna live with them, and then
the next day you're on to bust five hours to Johnstown, Pennsylvania,
and you spend every day together for the next about
seventy days. Oh one popped up foul again on the

(01:01:19):
right side. This will get out of play.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
And eventually you get there and you get to tell them, Hey,
I'm Jacob Wise.

Speaker 5 (01:01:24):
I'm gonna be talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
You well sometimes a lot of fun.

Speaker 5 (01:01:32):
Oh, I'm sure it is.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
Of course, we've done a lot of winning. Last year,
missed the playoffs for the first time since twenty seventeen
championships in nineteen twenty two twenty three, oh to a
check swing missed up in a way? Did he go?

Speaker 12 (01:01:49):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
The home point umpire rings him up said he went around.
So two strikeouts in the inning for Land and Ramie
and Chillicothi's unable to cash you in on a leadoff
double by Rucker Daddy. He stranded at third two and
a half done here in Chilacathee the Cavaliers leading the
Waverley Tigers five to four. This is high school baseball
on ninety four Country WKKJ.

Speaker 14 (01:02:11):
I'm Mini Driver and in my new podcast, Mini Questions,
I explore our differences and our similarities by asking experts
and trailblazers the same seven questions, questions about what makes
us happy, what we're curious about, and what love means
to us. This season, I'll be speaking with the brilliantly
talented actor Viola Davis, Epic four Fighters frontman Dave grow

(01:02:34):
and investigative reporter Ronan Farrett. Listen to many questions on
the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcast.

Speaker 6 (01:02:41):
Ninety four Country WKKJ.

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
Five four baseball game. As we go to the bottom
of the third here at Va Memorial Stadium, Waverley Tigers
coming to the plate here at Downbay or run Chilla
Coathey looked like they were going to be able to
tack one on after a lead off double and then
Ruckerdeddy able to move to third, but stranded there a

(01:03:08):
couple more strikeouts for Land and Ramie, who now has
six through three innings of work, and we'll see if
Waverley can get this thing tied back up. It's the
middle third of the order, Xander toller Land and Ramie
and Caden Thornsbury. As Tay Harris goes back out to
the mound for his third inning of work. Jacob Wise

(01:03:30):
with you along with lou Postage, Sidney Newsome producing back
in studio, will be back next Thursday, and then the
Thursday after that. We'll try to figure it out from there.

Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
Yeah, we've this has been an exciting experiment.

Speaker 5 (01:03:50):
I guess you want to say.

Speaker 3 (01:03:52):
I don't think very many people have done early season
high school baseball, but what you guys do here at
the VA, putting it on high school games is made
this possible. So we appreciate the Paints having us out
and allowing us to do these games here early in
the year.

Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
For those who don't know, you got to have internet
to do this anymore. Used to you have to have
a phone line. That was even harder, and now everything's
done over the internet, connecting back to the studio or
even if you're generating you know, your broadcast on site,
you still have to have internet to send it to
your to your tower. And a lot of baseball fields

(01:04:35):
really at the high school level, that's hard to find.

Speaker 3 (01:04:41):
We have a substitution here, I'm sure.

Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
I hope an Umpire was talking with the Waverley dugout.

Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
Had I saw the Chillicothe coach go over there. I'm
looking around the same.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Picture, same catcher. Usually the fire would kind of wave
up here and then point to where the change was.
All right, we'll try to figure it out, but we'll
have to keep an eye on the batteries as they
come through here. CHILLICOTHI does not have numbers on the

(01:05:16):
front of their jersey, so hard to check them all.
Sander Toller digs in on the right side. Harris fires
and a swing and a mess here to start it.
Toller and RBI double in the first inning, came around
to score on the ground out by land In Raimi.

Speaker 3 (01:05:38):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
One is in there for a strike on the outside
corner quickly, Oh and two to Toller. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
He drove one deep in the uh first ending there
for his double.

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
Two from Harris, ground ball towards short, three bounces off
the turf, Brown up with it and a long stretch
of first base on the throw, and nice job by
Sean Brown and ate him Scales on either end there
for the six three he put out as Toller is
retired to start at the bottom of the third. Excuse me,

(01:06:13):
now it is the bottom of the third. I keep
wanting to think Chilicothy's home. I don't know why. So
landing Ramie digs in RBI ground out for him last time.
I'll try to get something started here. So I'm pretty
well on the mound. It's giving up some runs, but
he struck out six left tanded batter takes the first

(01:06:36):
one up and away goes off the glove of Jacobs
and the catcher. So five runs, six hits, no errors
for Chillicothe, four four and zero for Waverley. So far.
I've got nine combined runs, ten combined hits so far.

(01:06:56):
We're just passed halfway point.

Speaker 5 (01:07:01):
Harris looking at his card.

Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
Out there, one ozero from the right hander and a
check swing foul ball goes off the fencing in front
of the third base dugout. Well, excuse me, swing there
from RAMI might have been self preservation, and that pitch
came up and in.

Speaker 5 (01:07:22):
He put his bat up there to protect himself.

Speaker 2 (01:07:27):
The infield playing pretty deep all the way around here
except for the third basement. Here's the one one and
that one fouled off the catcher's mitt skips to the backstop.
One and two down to Ramy and you can play
a little deeper here than you can on you know,
most high school natural surfaces. The turf's not really gonna

(01:07:47):
slow it down. One two pitch from Harris, a swinging abyss.
Gotta to go after one down and away. Second strikeout
for hey, Harris and the first two batters for the
Waverley Tigers retired here at the bottom of the third.

Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
I think, actually the first baseman may be different. It
looks like that's sixteen.

Speaker 2 (01:08:15):
I was wondering too.

Speaker 3 (01:08:16):
So Deddy must be in playing first base for Scales,
who's not.

Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
Well, no, if that's the case, then there's other changes.

Speaker 5 (01:08:24):
We have other changes.

Speaker 3 (01:08:26):
But I'm pretty sure that's sixteen down here?

Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
Is that not? That is okay?

Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
So Deddy's come down from right field, So then we
go and check the right fielder. Want to pitch swinging
a bess good breaking ball down in a way.

Speaker 3 (01:08:47):
Yeah, that was a great job by Harris of coming
back and getting that last batter.

Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Kid one one inside, skips to the backstop. Yeah, it's
like a new second basement maybe here also.

Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
Well, the second baseman was for the d h SO
of scales up.

Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
Here's the two to one pitch up and in that
is that's still Jadon Johnson there.

Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
I was gonna say, he's the designated field here.

Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
Yeah, up three, one little flare towards second will be
taken on a bounce over there by Johnson flips to
first base, and the ending is over. We have a
one two three inning for the first time in the
ball game three in the book, it is chillicothee five

(01:09:55):
Waiverley for Lou has to play by play as we
go to the fourth on ninety four country double UKKJ.

Speaker 5 (01:10:02):
Over ninety two one eighty over one eleven.

Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
I had a heart attack and a cardiac arrest and
then a stroke.

Speaker 15 (01:10:09):
Your blood pressure numbers could change your life. Lowering your
high blood pressure could save you from a heart attacker stroke.
If you've stopped your treatment plan, restart it or talk
to your doctor about creating one that works better for you.
Start taking the right steps and manage your VP dot org.

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
Now I'm trying to get better short than ever brought.

Speaker 15 (01:10:27):
You by the American Heart Association, American Medical Association and
the ad Council.

Speaker 6 (01:10:31):
Ninety four Country WUKKJ, the Scioto Valley's home for today's country.

Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
Welcome back to the VA Memorial Stadium here at Chili Coffee.
And basically this is one of those days you call
the common what is that Chamber of Commerce of commerce game?
And speaking of Chamber of Commerce, we got the President
down there, Mike Throne. But wow, what a wonderful evening here,

(01:10:59):
and we've got some good baseball. Five to four the
Chillicoth the Cavaliers lead the Waverley Tigers as they come
to bat here in the top of the fourth inning,
and leading off for the Cavaliers will be number one.
And I got to flip my page over and that'll
be Mason Jacobson, the number nine hitter in the Cavaliers lineup,

(01:11:22):
who walked his first time up. And we still have
raym Me out there on the mound for Waverly, who's
done a pretty good job here. The first two innings
were kind of rough form, but he was able to
get him out here in the third inning.

Speaker 5 (01:11:38):
As we go to the top of.

Speaker 2 (01:11:40):
The fourth, the word from the Waverley coaches or that
they just want landing to be in the zone more,
throw more strikes, and he has done that. He's only
walked a couple. He's giving up some hits that he
has struck out six through three inchs of work. And
when you start getting in the zone more at first,
you might give up a few more hits, but those
will come. And Chilicothie, like you said, just done a

(01:12:02):
good job of hitting it where they ain't so to speak.

Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Yeah, and Rami has got two strikeouts in each of
the innings he's pitched so far. So Mason Jacobson up
for the Chilicothy Cavaliers. As he waits the first pitch
from Raimi, swears a bunt. He tries at it. That's
going to be a strike. Owen one on Mason Jacobson.

Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
You might think, you know, all these runs and hits
three innings in, it's not a good game. But it's
been played well. They haven't made any errors him thrown
the ball around. There haven't been a bunch of walks.

Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
Second pitch catches the inside corner. Owen two.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
The plays that have been there to be made have
been made for the most part both ways.

Speaker 3 (01:12:50):
Awaiting the two pitches, Jacobson and he delivers right back
to the mountain raymy fields. It runs over halfway to
first phase underhand it for the putout. Let's say one
to three put out for the first down here and
mal back to the top of the order for Connor Bohlin,

(01:13:12):
who flew out to the first basement in foul ground
in the first inning and had a RBI base hit
his last time out in the second inning, also had
a scored a run later in that inning as well.
So Land and Raimie here went out in the top
of the fourth facing Connor Boling. Now it catches the

(01:13:36):
high outside corner for a strike.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
We had eight straight batters retired when you put the
two sides together. Not what you expected after the way
this thing started. Baseball's funny like that sometimes.

Speaker 3 (01:13:53):
And the pitch while that's drilled down the left field line,
up to the party deck and back onto the field.
So he really turned on that one. But uh, that's
a long strike that it's oh and two now on
Connor Boling.

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):
So got him out in front of a pitch here,
and maybe you go with something off speed and try
to speed that bat up a little bit more and
pick up another strikeout. Doesn't have to be in the
zono and two.

Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
One out here in the top of the fourth inning.
Pitch again, turns on it early down the third baseline.

Speaker 5 (01:14:31):
But foul.

Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
Yeah, like you say, you might want to try to
go maybe low and away here, but who what do
we know. He's got six strikeouts on the night, and
he's done a really good job out there.

Speaker 2 (01:14:51):
That's the reason I'm here. Yes, they keep me away
from the dugouts.

Speaker 3 (01:14:58):
Oh and two on on her bowlin. Here's a pitch
back up going to shortstop. Third basement comes in front,
cuts him off, and that's going to be late. So
he actually knocked the glove off of Caleb Cox out
there at shortstop, and uh, you know, you like to
think that's that's third basement's play as he's coming towards,

(01:15:21):
but I'm not sure he was coming towards first base there.

Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
So it's a tough play. It wasn't hit hard enough
really for Caleb to have a chance to come in
and make a throw. He was playing so deep and
it wasn't hit hard. He had to come such a
long way to get it. He has the better angle
to field and throw it first coming from shortstop. But
the third baseman could get to it quicker. It was
just I think either way you're gonna have a hard
time getting that ball at first in time.

Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
I think they gave a hit there to Connor Bolin,
so he's down first. The ball gets by the catcher
high endside for that first pitch, and Bolan trots down
the second.

Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
That don't definitely go. It's a wild pitch. There got
a couple of those here in this game so far.

Speaker 3 (01:16:01):
So Chillicothe with the runner in the scoring position now
and they lead the game five to four. One out
here in the top of the fourth and Jayden Gallagher
at the plate.

Speaker 5 (01:16:14):
That first pitch was a ball.

Speaker 3 (01:16:17):
Jaden Gallagher has a base hit to his credit, and
he scored a run in the first ending struck out
in the second. God nice little shot out to the
second baseman. Thought it was going to go over him,
but it hung up there just enough for the second
place basement to make a nice play on that out
there by bulling.

Speaker 2 (01:16:40):
Nice chopped there by lean to go get it in
a shallow right. He was pinched up the middle with
the right handed batter kind of holding that runner on
at second base. He had to book it all the
way back to his normal second base spot in the
almost shallow right field and he's able to run it down.

Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
That ball just wasn't hit hard enough to get by him.
He was able to track it down. Now two outs,
runner at second ball, bullin's out at second base and
up the bat is Tay Harris for the Chillicothy Cavaliers.
First piss just outside one and zero. Tay Harris had
a base hit in the first inning RBI came around

(01:17:19):
and scored the second run of the night for the Cavaliers.
He's two for two actually at second or two RBIs
in the second ending, so he has three on the
night that swung and miss one and one. So he
has three of the five RBIs for Chillicothy tonight and
that helps him out since he's the pitcher out there

(01:17:40):
on the mount.

Speaker 2 (01:17:43):
Always good when you get the opportunity to help yourself
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:17:48):
And today's game we just don't see that, especially at
the professional level.

Speaker 2 (01:17:52):
One of the nice things still about the high school game.
A lot of times your pitchers are your your best athletes,
So you went the those guys to swing the bat
as well.

Speaker 3 (01:18:01):
Two in one the count on Tay Harris two outs
here in the top of the fourth, look back at
the runner. Pitch high and outside three and one.

Speaker 2 (01:18:15):
That's where I was fun to watch shoe Heeotani right,
that's right, unbelievable he is.

Speaker 3 (01:18:19):
He is a phenom. And his height, I mean, he's
just so big.

Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
Does everything so well.

Speaker 3 (01:18:31):
Re me pitch right down the third base line for
a base hit. Here comes Bowling to the plate and
Harris on his way to second base. So Harris with
another RBI here tonight, RBI double right down the third
base line.

Speaker 2 (01:18:49):
That's onto the CHILICOTHI leads six' four now here in
the top of the.

Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
Fourth nice. Hit he really turned on. That and it's
like where we possibly get a pitching. Change here Is
Coach noble goes out to the mountain For.

Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
Waverley all, right, now this is this is always interesting
at the high school. Level it's not like you have
a guy coming out of the. Bullpen it looks Like
ramy is going to come off the field and be
replaced by Aj eblin.

Speaker 5 (01:19:23):
And looks like he's going to going to be a
nice easy switch.

Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
For we had it so easy in the first two.
GAMES i think all four pitchers through complete games and
the first two games that we. Did So eplin is
going to come on and Replace land And. Raimie so
For ramie he goes three and two. Thirds, yeah still

(01:19:47):
responsible for that runner at.

Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
Second so Again eblin coming on for The Waverley. Tigers
And eblin has three appearances on this young. Season it's
gone three, innings giving up three earned, runs no base on,

(01:20:12):
balls and three strikeouts four. Strikeouts So edlin is young,
sophomore getting pretty good sized kid out there on the
mount of right. Hander almost a three quarter.

Speaker 5 (01:20:31):
Side arm.

Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
Pitcher so many guys at three quarters, slot they don't
really come all the way over. Top he kind of
keeps it there as he's bringing it back to could
make it, difficult especially if you're a lefty to see
the ball till it's too.

Speaker 3 (01:20:49):
Late and did we Get we got six strikeouts On
ramy right.

Speaker 2 (01:20:58):
Six strikeouts to, walk gives up eight hits so far
he's given up six. Runs that could be seven If
harris comes around to score out there from second.

Speaker 5 (01:21:08):
Base so, again nice nice.

Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
Outing really got himself into trouble, early had a couple
of nice, innings but you, know when he needed, it
he was able to get a strikeoutk good to always
have depth on your pitchy and.

Speaker 5 (01:21:24):
Stuff you have to have options out. There it's.

Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
It's it's kind of like having a quarterback in THE.
Nfl if you, don't you don't have some good arms out,
there and you need several of, them and it's going
to be life is going to be very.

Speaker 5 (01:21:44):
Tough, yeah just ask What cleveland Or.

Speaker 2 (01:21:48):
Cleveland that's the only thing they have most of the.
Time they you're talking about quarter. Quarterback, yeah on the,
mound they're, Good, yes quarterback.

Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
Situation, Sorry i'm SORRY i switched on you THE nfl
as far as, quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (01:21:59):
But i'm one of these.

Speaker 3 (01:22:03):
Things maybe all, Right so here we, Go evelyn on the.
Mound now for The Waverley. Tigers FACE i believe is
that E Sean brown comes the. Plate brown has over
two on the. Night Shortstop eblin looks back at the

(01:22:31):
runner at second. Base runner takes Off, harris he's going
to third down throw down In, actually, yes he overslid the.
Bag he would have been, saved but overslid the. Bag
so nice throw there By alexander and nice tag by
the third. Baseman thornsbury kept that tag on and that'll

(01:22:52):
be the end of the top of the. Fourth then
he with your, Score chilika the Sixth waverley. Four you're
listener School baseball on ninety Four COUNTRY.

had some other substitutions there and that half inning For

(01:23:58):
waverley and you have those, There.

Speaker 2 (01:24:00):
Jacob, Yeah waverley Or Landon raimie went to center field
and Then Brayln spriggs moved over from center to. Right
Gavin roberts is. Out he was the designated. Fielder as
the new, Pitcher eblin came into the, lineup so.

Speaker 3 (01:24:17):
That should leave Kil nicely in still at the D.
H probably should. Be we'll check that out when we
come up here in the next. Inning but again still
on the mound For chilkati Is Tay.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
Harris though ACTUALLY i THINK i Means eblin would have
had to come in For nicely in the in the
seventh spot there for the D. H so it looks
like they burned THE. Dh, well, well we'll see for
sure when they get through the lineup. Here sometimes you
get pretty intricate on the high school lineup changes in, game.

Speaker 3 (01:24:50):
All, Right so that'll bring up Cal, nicely who struck
out his first time up tonight coming off of one
two three.

Speaker 5 (01:24:58):
Inning Is Tay.

Speaker 1 (01:24:59):
Harris did you want to hear KALE.

Speaker 2 (01:25:06):
I guess in that case is now the designated. Fielder,
yep that's WHAT i would write it down. As so
we'll we'll see you next time.

Speaker 3 (01:25:21):
Out but uh so we get ready here for the
first pitch of the bottom of the fourth, Inning harris
pitch first pitch is low for a. Ball, yeah nicely
is the D h here tonight For? Waverley what a?

(01:25:42):
Get the ball is right down the. Center first strike
one and one On kale, Nicely it was nicely the
one that was right up on the line his first time.
Up looks like he's backed off a little bit here

(01:26:04):
more towards the middle of the batter's box and that
adjustment second pitcher strike swinging By nisley one and two
and the pitch called strike three on the inside corner, again.

Speaker 2 (01:26:24):
Might back up some more next. Time AND i got
victimized by that inside pitch in his first stat back
because he was way in there on the on the
plate backs up a little bit here and that inside
corner still got him.

Speaker 5 (01:26:37):
Though and that is uh.

Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
Four straight now outs By Tate harris swinging a miss By.

Speaker 5 (01:26:48):
Tyler would you say that Is Baalen? Ballen what.

Speaker 3 (01:26:57):
Balean the second baseman? Tonight that pitch high outside goes
all the way to the. Backstop one in.

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
One we've got boleen For waverley and bowling For.

Speaker 3 (01:27:08):
Chilicothe speaking of, bowling he's right on the. Grass part
of the Turf service should say.

Speaker 5 (01:27:19):
Green part of the turf service at third, base AND i.

Speaker 2 (01:27:22):
Always try to describe, like you, know that's the cut
of the. Grass but you know what we.

Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
Mean one in two here On boleen inside they're called a.
Ball it looked like where the last one was for
Cal nisley.

Speaker 2 (01:27:43):
Two and.

Speaker 3 (01:27:44):
Two you're in the bottom of the fourth and six'
Four chilicothy oh almost hit. Him inside that's gonna bring
the count to three.

Speaker 5 (01:27:57):
And two full Count On.

Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
Tyler baleen spun him, around there almost got him.

Speaker 3 (01:28:08):
Whole count harris with the pitch hit the Third Base
connor boland up to. First base good Job. By Colin
connor boland's.

Speaker 2 (01:28:21):
Been a busy guy here recently over at, third base.

Speaker 3 (01:28:25):
And again he's played that position really well. Here tonight
that Brings Up hudson harris flew out to the third
baseman in the. Second Inning, hudson harris the left fielder here,
this evening swinging a miss. STRAIKE one i tell You

(01:28:51):
what harris is really started to throw. The ball well
here he's got a one two three inning last standing
and he's got a chance for that again.

Speaker 5 (01:29:04):
Inside that's foul down the.

Speaker 3 (01:29:06):
Third baseline seems like he has a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:29:10):
Better rhythm hear this in and he's kind of getting
it and going. Very decisive really liking that. Inside pitch
not afraid to. THROW it a lot of high school
kids are tentative trying to throw inside.

Speaker 3 (01:29:25):
On batters to strike pitch is going to be way
inside one. And, two now you can't be afraid to hit.

Speaker 2 (01:29:34):
A guy you gotta work that inside corner opens a
lot up. For you as. A picture.

Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
Harris, FACING harris I guess i just realized that foul
ball right back to. The Screen So hudson harris stays
Alive Against. Tay harris little breeze starting to blow a little. Bit,

(01:30:06):
harder now nice cool breeze coming. In here harris with
the one to two pitch hit down the third, base
line gets by bowling that's going into. Left field harris goes,
around first thanks. About it halfway there. Comes back good
Job thereby gallagher of getting quickly and getting the ball

(01:30:27):
back in. The infield so that'll be a, Base hit
i'm Sure By hudson harris right down the third.

Speaker 2 (01:30:33):
Base end hit number Five, for waverley their first hit
since the. Second inning they had three of those five
hits in the. First inning when they scored four runs
right out. The jump it's been a little TOUGHER since
i thought that ball was found to be honest, With
you but he's got a better look at it down
the line than up here in. The booth.

Speaker 5 (01:30:56):
That brings.

Speaker 3 (01:30:57):
Up cage alexander top of the Lineup. For waverley the
first pitches.

Speaker 5 (01:31:02):
A ball.

Speaker 3 (01:31:05):
He's been on two straight times by, the walk scored
one run out of.

Speaker 2 (01:31:12):
Stolen base it's funny how many times you see a.
Pitchers lying, you know they might have three walks in the,
whole game and how often two or all three of
them are to the same.

Speaker 3 (01:31:22):
Guy swinging at or swinging a foul ball back here to.
The backstop one, in one two outs here in the
bottom of the, Fourth enning waiverley leads Six, Four.

Speaker 5 (01:31:40):
Sorry chilicothy leads six to four.

Speaker 2 (01:31:45):
On a kid.

Speaker 3 (01:31:51):
One in one on The Batter alexander harris thought about
going by the wind up there and thought better.

Speaker 5 (01:31:59):
Of that with the, guy home first look over the.

Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
First base now the pitch right back up the middle
center fielders, got it and that's going to be the
third out of. The nning so, no runs one hit
and one runner left. On base after, four innings It's
The chilicothy cavaliers.

Speaker 5 (01:32:21):
Six And The waverley.

Speaker 3 (01:32:23):
Tigers four you're listening to high school baseball on Ninety FOUR.
Country wkkj whow's the basketball?

Speaker 10 (01:32:31):
Court away because the players kept dribbling?

Speaker 16 (01:32:35):
On it the dad, joke corny, grown worthy but also
one of the simplest ways to share a moment with.

Speaker 11 (01:32:41):
Your kids what did the buffalo say when he dropped
his start off?

Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
For?

Speaker 16 (01:32:45):
School, Bye son so take a moment to make your,
kid laugh because dad.

Speaker 2 (01:32:52):
Jokes rule make your Kid. Laugh today go to fatherhood.

Speaker 16 (01:32:55):
Dot gov brought to you BY The us Department of
Health And human services and The.

Speaker 6 (01:32:58):
Ad Council ydo valley's home for Ten day's country Ninety FOUR.
Country wkkj.

Speaker 5 (01:33:06):
He said that.

Speaker 2 (01:33:08):
Tom of the fifth inning HERE At Va, memorial stadium
it is six To. Four chillicothe they Lead The waverley tigers,
six runs, eight hits no errors For, the cavaliers, four runs,
five hits no errors For, the tigers And j eblin
back out for his first full inning. Of work he
came on with two outs and a runner at, second

(01:33:30):
base and they were able to get a runner trying to.
STEAL third i think one or two pitches In, for
EBLIN so.

Speaker 5 (01:33:37):
I think it was, just one maybe just the.

Speaker 2 (01:33:39):
First One So ishn brown will lead Off. For chillicothe
he was at the plate when, that happened and So
now eblin will end up trying to put together a
full inning.

Speaker 17 (01:33:50):
Of.

Speaker 2 (01:33:51):
Work Here, landon raimy the starter with three and, two
thirds gave up six runs on, eight hits struck, out
six and. Walked two he'll get a. NO decision i
believe we've in high, school baseball you have to go
four to qualify for. A win he did exit with,
the lead but was one out shy of getting that
four innings under. His Belt aj evelin finishing up his warm.

(01:34:12):
Up tosses this game started fast. And furious julaicoathi two
runs right off the jump in the top of. The
first waverley answered with four in the, bottom half and
Then the cavaliers answered right back with three in the
top of. The second and it's been zero's the last
five half innings since. That point so we got it
to was it six to four? Pretty quickly i'll take.

(01:34:36):
It Back the cavaliers got one in, the fourth but
we got it to five to four, pretty quickly and
then we've only had one, run since so the pitchers
have kind of settled it in here a little bit
and gotten this game moving. Right along as we start the,
fifth inning it'll be the middle third of the. Order
Again Is sean brown was at the Plate When tay
harris was thrown out trying to steal third. Last inning

(01:34:59):
i'll take back in here the. Right side you're trying
to double check one of the players around the Diamond,
for waverley who also does not have numbers on the
front of. Her jerseys that one's first. Offering here a
breaking ball popped up right side will go out of
play over the first base dug out and up on,
the Roof So E, Shaun, Brown, rucker Daddy And aiden

(01:35:23):
scales For the cavaliers here in the fifth looking to
add on to his six or, four lead and the
one breaking ball popped up toward First base toller in
front of the back called off by, the pitcher And
now toler calls him off and the. Ball drops it's

(01:35:43):
a fair ball and it's an infield Hit For.

Speaker 3 (01:35:45):
Sean, brown yeah that was a bad spots faceally before
the first baseman looking into the, sun there so that's
gotta be somebody, coming in maybe the, second BASEMAN but
i don't think he saw, It either so that was
really a bad spot for all.

Speaker 2 (01:36:01):
The fielders that's absolutely in a, perfect conditions the first,
baseman's ball you typically don't want the pitcher going after
one unless it's right at him on. The mound but,
THE sunglasses i think are on top of the hat
instead of on the eyeballs probably would have come in.
Handy there perhaps Beat off man On for Chillicothe And

(01:36:23):
rucker deddy at the plate two for two of a
couple of RBIs in a double, he swings hearshoots one
in the air to, center field not deep charging in
center and. Right fielders it's the, Right Fielder braylen spriggs
who makes a sliding grab for out number One and
brown back to. First.

Speaker 3 (01:36:39):
BASE yeah i, tell you when that ball, WAS hit
i thought for sure the center fielder was going to.
Get it but the right fielder went a long way
to get.

Speaker 5 (01:36:46):
That one.

Speaker 2 (01:36:48):
So, again sprigus who started the game, and centerfield went.
To Right when Land and raimie finished on, the mound
he went to Center pushed spriggs over. To right And,
then roberts who was the fielder but not in the,
batting lineup exited.

Speaker 3 (01:37:03):
THE game i think we've got a new batter Here at.
Walker throom so we knew there was.

Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
Some Substitutions so scales started at, first base And now
walker thrown in the game runner going from. First base
we'll have it without, a throw as the pitch had
to be Blocked, Down Low so, walker Thrown replacing scales
a couple of. Innings, Ago defensively walker's in.

Speaker 3 (01:37:29):
RIGHT field i believe We had debdy come in to
play first base in.

Speaker 5 (01:37:34):
That situation.

Speaker 2 (01:37:40):
So a runner at second, one out here's the one
to Zero from eblyn and that breaking ball stays down
And in. WALKER thrown i think, His dad mike told,
us that, You see walker was on paced to want
to get twelve varsity letters by his, junior year or.
Like that track and field and some. Other stuff busy,

(01:38:03):
young man here's the two zero pitch and that one
Missed down low.

Speaker 5 (01:38:10):
Told us what one of the events, he does his.

Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
Pole vault that's not too many people would even.

Speaker 5 (01:38:17):
Try to there were two.

Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
FIELD events i want to say one of them was.
Pole hooled that one's the one that caught. Our, ATTENTION
obviously i don't know how anyone. Does that it's fun
to watch three balls and no strikes. To him here
the pitcher, steps off.

Speaker 3 (01:38:33):
Especially when they get up to that world, class height,
you know into that seventeen Eighteen, foot wow that's a long,
way up and.

Speaker 2 (01:38:40):
You got a lot of faith in that pole to
not snap when it's been most of the, way around
and that happens quite. A bit thrown squares pulls it
back and he takes. HIS strike i thought maybe it
was outside was headed to, first base goes back into
the box with these stark white cleats on those new
balances there in. The bottle you can't wear metal spikes

(01:39:04):
on the, turf field so sometimes players end up with
either turf Shoes, or molden's or sometimes just. Tennis shoes
here's the three, to one missus low.

Speaker 3 (01:39:13):
And away.

Speaker 2 (01:39:13):
Ball four third goes off the Glove of thornsbury as
he tried to come down with. The, tag.

Speaker 3 (01:39:20):
Yeah interested in Their thrown that was, ball four and
he just sort of stood there for, a second didn't
want to move to cause.

Speaker 5 (01:39:29):
Any issues so.

Speaker 2 (01:39:31):
It is a Steel for brown. Taking third.

Speaker 3 (01:39:39):
Now we'll get the defensive call here with runners of
first and THIRD. Is kg alexander goes out in front of.

Speaker 5 (01:39:45):
The Plate.

Speaker 2 (01:39:48):
James wrinkle sack bunt. For him last, time up he
walk stole two bags and scored back in the, Second
inning so no at bat's officially. For him yet he
has runners on. The corners one out here in, the
fifth six Or four cavaliers lead looking. To add it's
a pop up in the infield toward the. Pitchers mound eblin. Under,
it oh he'd missed, that one and now the runner

(01:40:09):
at first is on his wedding second the throw, down
there it pulled the shortstop off, the bag and. Everybody's
safe that'll be a. Throwing error and, you could if
you really were a stickler for, a scorer you could
charge two errors on one not catching the can of
corn pop up in front of the, picture's mound and
two on the throat a. Second base and that's what

(01:40:31):
they put up on. The scoreboard and all of, A
sudden chilicotie has the bases loaded with. One, OUT yeah
i think.

Speaker 3 (01:40:37):
They just gave him one there because they had one
earlier in the ending down there at first base with
a misplay.

Speaker 2 (01:40:44):
That gave him. One, THERE see i wasn't going to
give one there because it seemed like the sun and
some miscommunication played into the.

Speaker 3 (01:40:50):
Situation, there well THAT'S where, i think as, a coach
you've got to tell one of your infielders you got
to come, in there and you've got to make the
call and get the picture the, relief there because obviously
the first time, that happened that picture had a hard
time making. That play so someone has to take charge
out there in the infield and come in there and
try to. Get that, but again it's one of those

(01:41:12):
times in the evening where first base probably didn't, see
it second base probably couldn't.

Speaker 5 (01:41:17):
Get there so you.

Speaker 2 (01:41:19):
Don't often see in a varsity baseball game two pop
ups that are want less than sixty feet down either
line and, straight up, straight down they both end. Up
dropping no one got a glove on either one, of
them and so all of, A, sudden chillicothe looking add

(01:41:40):
on to his six' four lead here in, the fifth
inning has. The bases loaded one out the infield don't
have to come In. Here, for.

Speaker 3 (01:41:46):
WAVERLEY yeah exactly i think that's what that time out.
Was all about as coach went out there to talk
to him about defensively what they want to do in
it brings.

Speaker 5 (01:41:54):
Them all in.

Speaker 2 (01:41:55):
First, pitch here today a pop up to, the right.
Side foul ground toller, on the run runs out of
room as it ends up. In the seats.

Speaker 3 (01:42:06):
Tilakathy really having a hard time trying to time the
pitcher here with that little sidearm pitch that he has,
not overly fast but they're trying to wait on the
ball to get a good.

Speaker 2 (01:42:19):
Hack at it it's technically a Fielder's. Choice for wrinkle
and now the one, pitch to day he swings and
misses at the, pitch down low.

Speaker 3 (01:42:31):
Nothing, in two yeah this will be a big if
he can get. A strikeout here this would be a
Big play for waverley with.

Speaker 5 (01:42:38):
One out in the inning.

Speaker 2 (01:42:42):
And field in nothing in two to land in day
over two of a couple of, strikeouts so far choked up,
on the bat here's The two from evelyn and he
misses down low and a good block BY The catcher
kg alexander with a little slide. To, his right yeah
that was.

Speaker 5 (01:42:58):
A great stop. There saves run.

Speaker 2 (01:43:09):
Sometimes in this situation you'll see the middle still. Play
for two but they're all in all. The way around
here's the, one two pitch breaking ball and in the
air toward. Right center field gonna be. A tough play
it'll drop for a base it. One run in everyone
else will just move. Up ninety feet all they do
send the second runner is it's dropped out in second
base and two runs score to make it eight to

(01:43:32):
four on a two Run Single.

Speaker 3 (01:43:34):
By, landing day, yep make contact make. Something happen there
and the day he gets a single out of that
two RBIs.

Speaker 2 (01:43:48):
How about that HE doubles his rbi total, on The
year and jellicnthie. Keeps adding on so first and second
here with One Out and mason jacobson. Will dig in
catcher walked and scored in. The second inning he popped
up to the pitcher. In the fourth so zero for
one so far TODAY at. An rbi spot now eight

(01:44:10):
runs on Nine, hits for chillicothe and they lead. Eight
to four here, in the fifth Here's the pitch brown
bought a third to his left and reaching out And
snacking at thornsbury able, to get it goes back to
third base and steps on it for. Out, number two.

Speaker 3 (01:44:25):
Yeah, smart play there taking the taking out the lead
runner five.

Speaker 2 (01:44:30):
Un assisted over there at third for. Round number two
jacobson at first base on, The fielder's choice day. At
second base back to the top. Of the order the
seventh batter, Of The inning connor bollen, two for three
couple OF, singles in rbi a couple of runs scored

(01:44:50):
in A two out rbi spot here looking to add
to an eight. To four lead the pitch is in
for strike one Eight four ChIL CoFe here in the
top of. The, Fifth inning.

Speaker 3 (01:45:03):
Yeah bolan's had a great night both at plate and.
In the field.

Speaker 2 (01:45:12):
Oh one breaking ball got up and hit the batter
bowland on. That front elbow so he will go to
first base and they Are Reloaded, For chili cothee so
to day, Over to third jacobs. Into Second base jaden
gallagher will dig in, one for three a single and

(01:45:32):
a run back in, the first strikeout pop. Out the
second his other two at bats one for. Three so
far got a great opportunity here to try to blow
this thing open up eight four digs in on, The
left side ebblin out of the stretch on the first
base side of the rubber kicks, fires first pitch swinging
hit pretty well on, the right field sprigs turns runs

(01:45:54):
and he almost. Made the grab it pops out of
the glove on the over, the shoulder attempt two Runs
score for chilicothe and him with, a two out two
Run Double is jaden gallagher and it's.

Speaker 3 (01:46:05):
Ten, to four chilicothe, TELL you what i didn't think
he had a, chance at that and he had a
nice jump there and he got turned all, the WAY
around and i think that.

Speaker 2 (01:46:16):
MESSED him, up i mean almost. As spectacular grab. I'M
with you i didn't think he had a. Shot at
it he was playing in. And right field he, ran
it down got his glove on it for a moment
that ball disappeared, before popping out and it ends up as,
a two out two Run Double, for jaden gallagher who
has his second Hit today and chilicoty now up ten

(01:46:36):
to four as they pick up their tenth hit of. The,
ball game.

Speaker 3 (01:46:40):
Yeah this is probably one of their best offensive outputs of,
the season here and they've been very aggressive at the.
Plate here tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:46:50):
It's a four run fifth inning and the ninth batter,
Of The inning tay harris at the plate. Takes strike
one harris with three hits, in three, trips a, double
two singles three RBIs and a run scored ks in on.
The right side here's The one from eblyn and a

(01:47:13):
big swing and amiss and a breaking ball that disappeared down.
Below the zone. Nothing, in two.

Speaker 3 (01:47:20):
Yeah he was way out in front. OF that one
i think he had visions of that one going. To
the wall.

Speaker 2 (01:47:32):
Big pitch Here, from aj eblin the Right. Hander from waverley,
the two. Pitch breaking ball that one hit off the end,
of the bat flipped over, the first. Base dugout foul
so we'll do it again at. Nothing In two the
cavaliers have had a lot of innings where they've sent

(01:47:53):
seven or more batters. To the plate this is the
third time, in five innings but this is the first
time they've got to the ninth batter. Of the inning
two pitch and a, good spot there, zero to two
but it misses, low and away Trying to get harris.

Speaker 1 (01:48:17):
To.

Speaker 2 (01:48:17):
Go fishing there one two pitch from, The right hander
this one swung on sky. Toward the shortstop cocks on
the back edge, of the infield, calls everyone off makes
the grab and the, inning is over But not before
chilicothee scores. Four more runs the big blow, a two

(01:48:41):
out two Run Double, by jaden gallagher and after four,
and a half it Is chillicothee. Ten waiverley four this
is high school baseball In NINETY. Four, Country wkkj. Okay

Four Country Wkkj the scioto valley's home for. Today's country
prout up.

Speaker 2 (01:49:32):
The fifth INNING Here At. Va memorial stadium it is.
Ten to four chillicothe has picked up its biggest lead
of the night so far after four runs in. The
top half some Miscommunication by, the waverley defense a couple
of infield pop ups drop instead of becoming outs and
that allows a couple of extra runs to score. In

(01:49:55):
THE inning and i take advantage when other, teams make mistakes.
Give You Opportunities and chilli cooffe. Did just That and
now waverley is going to have to try to start.
Clawing back, here, down, six two three four Do. Up For,
Waverley Caleb, cox Braylan Sprix. And xander, toller ten, runs

(01:50:16):
ten hits No Errors for chilli coothie four to five And.
Two for Waverley.

Speaker 5 (01:50:23):
And really harris is really.

Speaker 3 (01:50:25):
Beared, down here yeah last two innings he's had, great
outs here but, that you know you look back that
first anywhere, he four runs first. Four batters scored but
he's really had himself a nice out.

Speaker 2 (01:50:39):
Of, the year yeah gave up four runs on three
hits after a, lead off walk and then three straight
hits in, the first inning got the, next three out
give up a, lead off hit walk the batter, in
the second but stranded him one two three with a strikeout,
in the third and then give up a, two out
hit got the, next guy out also picked up a strikeout.
In the fourth so he's gotten more confident a little

(01:51:01):
bit better as this game, has gone on and the
offense has continued to Roll. For The cavaliers caleb cox
steps in. ONE for two a bunch singles scored a
run back in, that First inning takes loan away. For
a ball cox hit into a fielder's choice in. The
second inning. One to oh this. Is down low caleb's

(01:51:27):
mom and dad own the maturity. Of the paints they run.
The ballpark here, two to oh and then. FOR a
strike i was there when They, Met. In, rockford illinois
wow Working For the frontier league team Out there that
brian was running two one had hard to throw off The.

(01:51:48):
Glove of boland it'll land on the infield and that'll
be an Infield Hit. For caleb cox he smoked it
nearly had it Taken, away By bolan and boland for
sure took away extra bases knocking that one out of.

Speaker 3 (01:52:01):
THE air Well i know bulan did not see that to,
hit his glove but it hit in the glove.

Speaker 5 (01:52:06):
And popped out because of how hard. It Was Hit.

Speaker 2 (01:52:12):
So brayln sprigs will STEP in and rbi hit for
him in the first one for two. In this one
that's the way you got to start it down six in,
the fifth inning just get base, runners Lead Off guy
on harris from the stretch fires and that, one skips
in goes, to The Backstop and caleb cox will go

(01:52:33):
to second on. THE wild pitch i think it's about
twenty fifteen or twenty sixteen when they moved Back. Here
to chillicothee.

Speaker 5 (01:52:47):
And so They, met.

Speaker 2 (01:52:49):
In Illinois met in illinois or Is she From, She's,
from illinois okay which? Miss us upstairs she brought her
delicious cupcakes, that SHE makes and i think the bunt cake.
Is even better but. Turning paints games You can see
aaron down at the beer trailer down the. Left field

(01:53:10):
line they. Keep her busy, two zero oh and then
the year pretty well. To center field wrinkle, on the
run has a, beat on it reaches up and makes
the grab on the run and left center. Tagging it
second cox, goes to third and so a productive first
Out Here is braylan spriggs flies out to center Field

(01:53:33):
and the tigers with a runner at third and One Out. For,
xander toler.

Speaker 3 (01:53:38):
Yeah that was A nice jump i wrinkle out there
in center field because that ball was.

Speaker 5 (01:53:41):
Pretty Well hit.

Speaker 2 (01:53:50):
So toller Digs in and rbi double back in the
first he grabbed it, out to shortstop and the third
one for two takes the. First one upstairs here a ball.
Ten to four chilicothee leads bottom of The fifth INNING
Here At, Va memorial stadium waverley with a, runner at
third nobody, out one oh, PITCH one out, i should

(01:54:12):
say ground. Ball a third that's a fair ball to
sneak in. The left field cox trots down the line from.
Third to SCORE it's an Rbi. Single for xander tollard
picks UP his second rbi of, the Ball game and
waverley gets one back at his. TEN to five.

Speaker 3 (01:54:31):
A really good job of turning, on that one taking
it right. Down, the line hey what bowl has been?
Busy over there he's got a lot of balls hit
to him there at.

Speaker 5 (01:54:39):
The third basement.

Speaker 2 (01:54:40):
He's done a pretty good. Job over there not much chance.
On that one waverley scores for the first time since
their four. Run first inning so now. Ten To five
landon rainey digs in. Oh for two he swings and
misses here to start at. The ground out the second

(01:55:01):
brought home a running, the first inning and then a
strikeout swinging. In the third so a runner at first
one out the bottom of the fifth And The, pitcher
tay harris steps, off the rubber, Rechecks the wristband daddy

(01:55:22):
holds the runner. At first base here's the one from
The right hander harris and is swinging Amiss there as
ramy was pulling off a pitch along the outside part.
Of the plate and now nothing in two.

Speaker 4 (01:55:40):
To.

Speaker 2 (01:55:40):
The starting pitcher now center, fielder swing here hit well
on the right field, toward the line thrown able to
get there and make the grab and back to First.
Base goes.

Speaker 5 (01:55:51):
Toller, Two down yeah throne was playing towards the.

Speaker 3 (01:55:54):
Right field line there's a good position for him to
be able to make that catch and.

Speaker 2 (01:56:00):
To Bring on caden thornsberry looking for his. First hit
tonight he has fled the center and grounded out. To second,
base so far a runner at, first two down bottom
of the Fifth inning And chillicothe leading waverley. Ten to
five only three more Hits for the Cavaliers than the tigers.

(01:56:20):
TO this point i know a ball out of the
bullpen and left field skips over toward. The shortstop area
we'll say that three of the runs that Have scored
for chillicothe reached, via the walk and then a couple
of errors. Allowed some others only one of the Five

(01:56:48):
runs for waverley that have scored reached. Via the walk
all the others had to hit. Their way On so
the cavaliers did a nice job Of making the. TIGERS
earn it a couple of checks over to first base
and a Dive. Back by toller thornsberry back in the
box awaiting the first offering of this At Bat, from

(01:57:11):
tay harris who steps off and right back on the
rubber works off the. First base side, here's the pitch
and that. One misses upstairs shadows starting to creep across
the field as the sun gets lower in the sky
off the left side. Of the ballpark, one to oh

(01:57:31):
and that one misses up in a way the roof
basically casting the whole plate area and the first, baseline
in shadow and then the trees starting to reach their
way across left to right from the left field line out.
Toward right field three To, zero from harris and that

(01:57:53):
in for A strike is thornsberry was taking all the
way looked like a. Statue in there i'll have the handcuffs.
Taken off here three and one the pitch swung on
fouled off with the right side out Of play.

Speaker 3 (01:58:14):
On it interesting to see How much longer harris will go.

Speaker 5 (01:58:20):
In this game he's thrown a. Lot of pitches now.

Speaker 2 (01:58:23):
There is a pitch limit in. High school baseball it's
it one hundred. AND twenty five i, want to SAY
higher than i would have.

Speaker 5 (01:58:33):
FOUND out about i don't think he's. Close to that but.

Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
There was some controversy in that unioda game we called
last week about what that pitch count Was for. The
margaretta pitcher three to Two, Here From harris lawrence berry
chops it to third, to his left bowling, up with
it throws to first and the. Inning is Over so
the tigers get one back of lead Off Hit from
caleb coxy comes home to score on the Base Hit

(01:58:59):
for xander. Toler after five HERE at The va It's chilicothee.
Ten waverley five this is. High school baseball On NINETY

Weekend it says nelly mastered her first year with a mastered.

Speaker 5 (02:01:23):
Logo type.

Speaker 2 (02:01:24):
Thing, well done yeah top of the sixth Thenning a
j eblin back to The. Mound for waverley first pitch
in for a Strike And is sean brown leads Off.
Here for chillicothe he started the last inning went off with.
An infield hit it was that pop up to first
base that landed between the first basement and the picture

(02:01:47):
after some miscommunication that started a four Run. Inning for
chillicothe and takes a pitch here outside the ball one
and One To, is sean brown one for three To
right facing emblin for the second time one to one
pitch is inside two balls and a strike and the

(02:02:20):
two to one from the right hander breaking ball swung,
out and missed and maybe not the one you want to,
jump on two, Two and one but it's floating up
there out. Over the plate hard to stay. Off of
it two two, another breaking ball this one fouled back. Out,
of play yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:02:42):
You got to try to in your mind stay back
on that and. Wait on it but uh.

Speaker 2 (02:02:48):
Antsy two balls Two, strikes to brown the leadoff batter
for chillicothee here. In the sixth, here's the pitch and.
That it's outside now a, Full count, Here Cavaliers ten.
Waverley tigers five running out, Of outs here waverley really

(02:03:09):
really needing to put, up a zero something they've only
been able to do once. In this game three, to
two pitch little liner back, to the mount gets, past
the pitcher taken by The Sliding shortstop caleb cox on
the first base side of second and has no chance.
At a play so an infield Hit Here for ishean
brown had hit Number Eleven. For Chilli Coffee.

Speaker 3 (02:03:33):
The chill coffee with, their ten runs they've done a
really good job of getting all. Those runners in but
last aning they left, the bases loaded but prior to
that they did a good job of getting runners in
when they were.

Speaker 5 (02:03:45):
In scoring position.

Speaker 2 (02:03:48):
So a runner At First, for rucker deddy who is
two for three and takes Outside. Of ball deddy the
two runs single with two outs in the first to
start the scoring doubled. In the third hit the ball hard,
last time up but it was a nice sliding Catch
Made by braylan spriggs. In right field now the one
zero runner. Goes from first this pitch, is a strike

(02:04:10):
throw down a second not in time and scoots into
center field and the runner will Stay Put is landon
raimi was there to. Back it Up So is sean
brown with his second stolen base of the ball game
AND now an rbi Spot Here. For Rucker daddy the
calves have scored in every inning, except the third and

(02:04:31):
they've scored more than one run in three of the
five trips to the plate so far. Before this inning two,
in the first three, in the second one, in the
fourth four. In the fifth ball and His Strike to
rucker deddy, runner at. Second nobody out eblin fires and

(02:04:53):
that one called a strike on. The outside edge one
and two one two pitch get off the end, of
the batter roller, To the shortstop, cox charging fields. Throws

(02:05:16):
to first it's why to first base around third and
Scoring Is e shann brown On his wed his Second
Base goes rutger deddy and it's. Eleven. To, five chillicothy well.

Speaker 3 (02:05:29):
We talked about them needing to score. Some more runs
they've definitely done. It HERE tonight and i go back
to the idea.

Speaker 5 (02:05:36):
Of being very aggressive. At the plate.

Speaker 2 (02:05:45):
Let's SAY probably no Rbi, there for deddy the run
scoring on. The throwing error. Runner at second still Nobody
out for walker thrown his second trip to, the plate
tonight squares the bunt and he, pulls it back takes
a strike. That's not Thrown that is scales back. Into

(02:06:07):
The ballgame so scales is zero for two with a couple.
Of strikeouts, thrown came in walked and scored in the
fifth after. Playing right Field and now scale's back in
the lineup here with a. Runner at. Second nobody out
oh one check swing and they say it did not.
Catch the zone so ball.

Speaker 3 (02:06:29):
ON a, strike i said home play umpire hasn't realized
where you're back up here doing a game. On the
radio he hasn't really given. Us any signals.

Speaker 2 (02:06:39):
It happens more. Than it should here's the. One one
outside even when you're doing a typical, high school game
you should still be reporting those things that there's a
scorekeeper somewhere that needs to. Know that information.

Speaker 3 (02:06:59):
Maybe they think it is just in the dugouts here
and they don't even know the guy over here.

Speaker 5 (02:07:05):
Doing the loudspeaker.

Speaker 2 (02:07:07):
Here's the two To. ONE from evelyn i went him
well down the. Left field line it'll hook foul a,
long strike there evens it up at. Two and two
we occasionally have That issue during, prospect league games but
both dugouts have a walkie, okay those games and So

(02:07:28):
we'll Send we'll stick jerry our official score on, him,
to say hey what's? Going on here tell us tell
us what, the subs are because you know who the
first ones are to come tell you somebody's, stats are
wrong the players and the coaches who didn't communicate with
you in. The first place here's the two to one
breaking wall in there for strike three called good Hook

(02:07:49):
there and scales strikes out for round number one here
in the top of.

Speaker 3 (02:07:55):
The, sixth inning yeah he just couldn't pull the trigger.
On that one he had just floated. Right In There
so james wrinkle will dig in oh for one with
a walk in a sacrifice bunt so far has, scored
a run stolen a couple backs runner at second one
out here. Eleven to five chilicothee top six that one

(02:08:17):
fires this one hit back up the middle and taking them.
A hot Bye balleen throws hi, to first base gets
by him and around third and scoring on the Throwing
Error is rutger daddy to make it. Twelve to five
that ended up going out of play there over on
the first base.

Speaker 5 (02:08:31):
Side as well.

Speaker 2 (02:08:33):
So They'll send a wrinkle to second on the ball,
out of play and that's the second throwing error by
a middle infield, er This inning so chilicothy adds on. Twelve,
to five.

Speaker 3 (02:08:49):
Yeah they've done a great job of just putting the
ball in, play here tonight making contact and.

Speaker 5 (02:08:54):
Letting things happen.

Speaker 2 (02:08:57):
So runner at second one out now for landon day
two run base hit for him last time. TAKES the ball.

Speaker 5 (02:09:04):
I know you had MENTIONED coach barr i wasn't here.

Speaker 3 (02:09:07):
AT the beginning i haven't, seen him yet but if he's,
listening to us You're tillkt the cavaliers have done a
good job of attacking the.

Speaker 2 (02:09:14):
Baseball here tonight here's the one to zero a strike
call on. The outside edge and, first of all just
huge things to the coaches we've dealt. With so far
and in this Game We've got jeff Noble and For
waverley And. Tombarr for chilicothy they've gotten us all the

(02:09:35):
information we've needed to. Do these broadcasts it takes a.
Lot of cooperation here's a turn to pick the second
runner goes to third and sliding, In Head. First james
wrinkle he made. The right decision he had a good lead.
At second base the pitchers spun and threw back and,
wrinkled no hesitation took, off toward third and he steals

(02:09:56):
it to pick up his third steal of, the ball
game and our runner at third with one out and
a one one count here to. Land, in day.

Speaker 3 (02:10:10):
Yeah it's tough to do games without stats and. Names and,
numbers so again it makes our job a lot, easier
up here and we're able to get that information out,
to you guys.

Speaker 2 (02:10:22):
Ball outside Two, and one now football coaches, and basketball
coaches they're all used to having to deal with us
bothering them, all the time and the baseball coaches not.
Always The case but i've done a good. Job so
far two to one popped up on the infield. Toward
first base, here we go, toller underneath it, doesn't see
it reaches up. And gets it at. The last moment

(02:10:42):
he put both hands palms to the sky there for
just a moment as that thing, was coming down but
he was able to reacquire and make the catch for.
OUT number two a.

Speaker 5 (02:10:51):
Good job of.

Speaker 2 (02:10:51):
Sticking with it it's a just a lonely feeling. When
that's happening you, start to panic and you're looking right
into the, sun right now if you're over at first
base or second, or right field that sun. Getting pretty
low here's the First Offering. To mason jacobsen he takes
low and away. For a ball. Two runs home here

(02:11:12):
in The, inning for chillicothy they elited. Twelve to five
in the top, of the sixth, runner at, third two
down one zero popped up, right side again right down the.
First base line the catcher with his back, To the
infield alexander makes the grab and the, inning is over

(02:11:35):
But not before chillicothy adds on two on one hit
and a, couple of errors and as we go to
the bottom of the Sixth that Is chillicothe. Twelve waverley
five this is high school baseball In NINETY. Four country

NINETY four Country Wkkj the scioto valley's Home For today's country.

Speaker 2 (02:12:27):
Waverley coming to bat in the bottom of the sixth
inning down twelve. Five to chilicothee it looks like we're
going to have some changes. For chili coffee that wrinkle
wing that looks like wrinkle is going to come in
from center field and go. To The Mouth so tay
harris is done. On The hill so harris, goes five

(02:12:50):
innings gifts up five runs. On seven hits he, struck out,
three walked one, two than anybody and he threw. Two
Wild pitches so harris exits in line, for the win

(02:13:11):
trying to go two to zero, on This Season and
james wrinkle takes over.

Speaker 3 (02:13:15):
On The mound so gallagher moves from left to center
and number one is. In left Field now That's. Meson
catcher jacobson so he goes from catcher to.

Speaker 5 (02:13:33):
Left FIELD catching is I Lead M.

Speaker 2 (02:13:39):
John parks parks he caught. In the game we Had,
them on friday so that. Would Make sense.

Speaker 3 (02:13:51):
And debdy back to Right field and scales. Back to
first So you said deddy Back, to right yep he
came into bat back, in the lineup so scales it
first and then looks like. Number Thirty three so harris

(02:14:16):
goes from the pitching round.

Speaker 5 (02:14:17):
To Third Base.

Speaker 2 (02:14:22):
So tay harris a third bear. With us here we
have a, lot going on.

Speaker 5 (02:14:28):
And That may be. BOLAN at Second.

Speaker 2 (02:14:37):
I had john parks written. Down for fifteen the Lineup Card,
Says ethan parks so we. Got, that Wrong.

Speaker 3 (02:14:49):
Yeah that's bolan. Out at second so The Infield. For
ChIL Coty now is, Harris at third, Brown at short,
boland At second and. Scales at first parks in a Catcher,
Outfield of Jacobsen gallagher and deddy from.

Speaker 5 (02:15:06):
Left to right.

Speaker 2 (02:15:07):
So they go the only player that is has not
moved the position out of the nine defensively is The Shortstop.
E sean brown got a couple that have made it
back to. Their Original position cal nicely Leads off for Waverley.
Twelve five chilicothies we start the bottom. Of the six
first pitch here in for a strike and That Is,

(02:15:27):
not cale nicely That. Is aj eblin.

Speaker 5 (02:15:35):
So the pitcher IS in. The dh spot.

Speaker 2 (02:15:37):
Then second went all the way. Missus Down low so
eblin hitting three point thirty three, on the year four
hits in. Twelve at bats, that's right handed one To One,
from james wrinkle the left hander with the breaking ball

(02:15:58):
Against the swinging avess now. One and two wrinkle one
to oh on the year three in the third innings
is not giving up, an earned run. Just one hit
he has. Struck out six here's a ground ball foul.
Toward first base, hasn't walked anybody that's. What you want

(02:16:28):
here's the one to oh from, the left hander breaking
ball foul back to the glove and Hanging on is
ethan parks for the album and there's number one here
in the bottom of the sixth.

Speaker 3 (02:16:40):
A pitch was made with the right field or. Not
in position the umpire still had. A back turned, uh
so whatever still retrieving that.

Speaker 5 (02:16:48):
Ball Out There.

Speaker 2 (02:16:52):
So tyler baleen will step in one for two single
back in the second and think grounded to third in
the fourth as a wrinkle kicks and fires and. The pitch,
Inside So again tay harris the starter went five in line,

(02:17:12):
for the win looking to go two to zero, on
The year and wrinkle out there just to preserve that
has plenty of cushion. Up twelve five here's a swing
of the miss on a good ball on the outside part,
of the plate. One, On one.

Speaker 3 (02:17:24):
Yeah harris really settled in after that first inning and
had a wonderful outing.

Speaker 2 (02:17:35):
A long Hold here as, wrinkle shakes off the sign
now has the, one he. Wants the one one pitch misses.
Down and in.

Speaker 3 (02:17:43):
You know when you look at you know the fact
that he's gave, up five runs but the first four
batters he faced all scored.

Speaker 5 (02:17:50):
In the game.

Speaker 2 (02:17:51):
That's pretty good able to shut it down. At that
point here's the two to one and that one hitting
the air to shallow right out goes. One from second
it'll drop for. A basic all it takes a funny
hop and a Good reaction by daddy and right to
track it down Quickly and hold baalin to a. One
out single definitely had some spin. ON that ball a

(02:18:16):
Little bit of english first offering here swung Out. Of

(02:18:36):
missus hudson Harris digs in harris. One for two basic.
Last time up still got one more. Inning to go
this league game. May get started yea. Awfu. Oh one
yeah the breaking ball here catches the outside part. Of

(02:18:57):
the zone. Nothing in two we are two hours and
nine minutes in, on this one so still not looking
at a. Real long game here's the two pitch swinging
the mass at, a breaking Ball got a harris. Out
in front two strikeouts in The Inning for james wrinkle

(02:19:21):
back to the top. Of The order cage alexander will
step in with the runner at first, and two down
bottom of The sixth and waverley trailing Twelve. Five to
chillicothe cage. Ho for one he flied to centerfield, In
the fourth he's walked twice and scored tixit on the
right side with the, runner at first a step in
a throat at first and to Dive. Back by, balleen cage,

(02:19:48):
walked stole second and then scored later on. A wild
pitch in. That first inning he was the first of
those first four batters. Of the game of the bottom,
OF the first i should say to. Reach and score
this went in. For a strike cay, just switch. Hitter
he is he started the game as a lefty against
The Right, hander tay harris now betting right handed Against The.

(02:20:10):
Lefty james. Wrinkle could catch.

Speaker 3 (02:20:14):
Just didn't LOOK right when i, looked up THERE and then,
i was like he definitely.

Speaker 5 (02:20:18):
Betted, left handed, oh.

Speaker 2 (02:20:19):
One, pitch missus upstairs.

Speaker 3 (02:20:21):
One and, one it's, funny my son way back when
t ball he could do, things BOTH handed and i
just he go up one time and. BAT right, left
i said how? DO you decide i Don't know when.
I'm walking up.

Speaker 2 (02:20:35):
Here's, The One one so i'm gonna foul back. Out
of play about a four and a half year old
that hasn't decided whether he's lefty. Or righting yet and
that's just the. Regular, everyday, thing yeah well you know
he's got time, runner at first, two down ball two Strikes,
to cage alexander and a time called. Out the plate

(02:21:00):
twelve runs on Eleven. Hits for chillcothy they lead it.
Twelve to five waverley has seen things kind of go.
Downhill on them, they five, runs eight hits, but four
errors want two pitch breaking balls swung, out and missed
and another strikeout three in The Inning. For james wrinkle nice,
strong breaking ball strands a, runner at first and we

(02:21:23):
go to the top. Of the Seventh It is, Chili coothe.
Twelve waverley five this is high school baseball in NINETY.
Four country wkkja and here's something go didn't come. From
you guys strangers, cough at me move. Away from me
someone spit.

Speaker 10 (02:21:36):
Forards my direction all the stereotypes that would work so
hard to break are just going.

Speaker 2 (02:21:40):
To be reversed and it won't.

Speaker 5 (02:21:42):
Let that happen we all have.

Speaker 2 (02:21:42):

masks we deserve respect as much. As everybody else, I'm

Scioto Valley's Home for toenday's Country NINETY four country wkkj.

Speaker 2 (02:22:11):
Onto the seventh INNING Here At. Va memorial stadium it
is twelve five in Favor Of, the chillicothie cavaliers and
a new pitcher on the Mound For the Waverly Tigers,
is hudson harris who started the game as. The left

(02:22:33):
fielder so we'll have to chase him around the field
again to see. Who is Where so j eblyn goes two.
And a third it's. A three hits he, struck out one,

(02:22:55):
he walked one, he hit one and he, gave, up, one,
two three four, five SIX runs but i, think only
four maybe only three of. Those were Earned And so

(02:23:20):
hudson harris takes over on The mound as chilicothee will
send the top of the lineup to the plate here In,
the seventh harris at least according to the Pitching, stats
from waverley has not pitched in a game this year

(02:23:41):
and Now catching For Waverley, is rock burdett and we've
got to figure out who's. Playing left field he's not

(02:24:01):
going to turn around for us to, see his numbers
so we'll figure it out when we. FIGURE It out
kg alexander is now. Playing Second base connor bolan will Lead.
Off for chillicothe he is, two for three TWO, singles

(02:24:22):
in rbi. Two runs scored he was hit by a pitch,
last time through so we'll continue to try to figure
out who is Where here for Waverley. Twelve five chillicothe
as we, start the seventh first pitch swinging popped up back.
Out of Play So again, Hudson Harris pitching brock. Burdette

(02:24:47):
now catching. THE Original catcher kg alexander is now. At
second base we have to find a. Left fielders somewhere
That might be balleen that. Went out there here's, the old,
one breaking ball hit the batter and bowling for his
second straight trip, to the plate is hit, by a
pitch and he'll go down to first base to. Start
the inning.

Speaker 5 (02:25:11):
Because event had a, very active night has balloon.

Speaker 2 (02:25:15):
Where he's been busy at third he's been all over
the scorecard on. The Offensive Side as chandon gallagher Steps. In,
for chillicothe gallagher now the center fielder started the game
and left bat's left handed had a two run double

(02:25:36):
last time up two for four, in this one also
single it all the way back in the first as
he takes. Outside a ball chillicothe with crooked numbers in
four of the six innings coming here into the seventh offensive.

(02:25:56):
Explosion for them here's. A pitch, upstairs twelve runs. E
leone hits they've done a great job of taking advantage
of extra opportunities that have been given to them As well.
By waverley's defense here's the two to zero pitch popped

(02:26:17):
up left side that will go out of play. As
a catcher burdette gives chase and lands on the back. Of,
the dugout.

Speaker 3 (02:26:30):
Yeah still can't figure out that left fielder out there hasn't.

Speaker 2 (02:26:34):
Turned around yet.

Speaker 5 (02:26:35):
Everyone else has. Been accounted for.

Speaker 2 (02:26:40):
Two balls and A strike To jaden and gallagher choked up.
On the bat the pitch swing pop up right past
the pitcher's mount out Towards, the shortstop cox and he
calls off the third baseman to. Make the grab so
there's out Number one as gallagher pops, Out to short bowland,
stays At First and tay harris. Will dig in he

(02:27:04):
started the game, as the pitcher he's now. THE third
baseman i don't envy high school baseball coaches when it
comes to the shuffling. Of the, players you know said.

(02:27:24):
FOR a strike i had TO laugh when i got
the first, couple Of rosters and waverley was one of
the first ones to send the roster before the season started,
with their positions and almost every single player is listed,
as a. Pitcher slash utility here's the one runner. Goes
from first they did is high. Throwed his second it

(02:27:45):
is not in time and nobody was. Covering Until late
so boland picks up A steel and I talked about
waverley had a whole. Bunch of steels he had twenty
two in six. Games coming In but the cothie's racked up. A,
whole bunch.

Speaker 5 (02:28:03):
Yeah. THEY sure have i don't have that number right.

Speaker 2 (02:28:06):
They had they had twenty two. In six games We
don't have waverley's. Stolen based numbers pitch outside here.

Speaker 3 (02:28:14):
Two And one tay harris was the leader coming in
with seven stolen bases.

Speaker 2 (02:28:21):
At the, plate right now trying to drive in another
run and add on to this twelve. To five lead
the pitch back out of play on, the right side
so bowling. Now the Steal We have isean. Brown with
two we Have Three, from james Wrinkle so the cavaliers

(02:28:48):
adding nicely. To that number here's the two to two
outside and a good pick there on the backhand By
The catcher brock burdette had to reach across the body
and catch. The short hop keep that runner, at second
base and a full Count Out of tay harris. Runner at,
second one out top, of the seventh it's Twelve. To
five chilicothe the pitch runner goes it is, low and,

(02:29:11):
away ball four so bowling down to third on. His
second steal now they're on the corners with one Out For.
Is Shan brown.

Speaker 3 (02:29:24):
Tay harri has been on base four out of five.
Times here tonight.

Speaker 2 (02:29:32):
On Base percentage for chillcothy coming, in four sixteen so they're.
Getting On Base is sean brown two for four. IN
this one a, couple of steals a couple. Of, runs
scored yeah the pitch here runs in high for A

(02:29:53):
ball and harris, takes second. Base no throw the officials
in me wants to call that. A, defensive indifference.

Speaker 5 (02:30:02):
YEAH that's what i would. Declare as well.

Speaker 2 (02:30:10):
One zero chopper out past the mound the Third basement
over thornsberry, behind the mound throws to first and makes the.
Play for out Number two is bowland scores to make this. Thirteen,
to five.

Speaker 5 (02:30:24):
Yeah that was a nice play there by The third
basement thornsbury.

Speaker 2 (02:30:31):
Over The Third, GOES tay harris Rbi Groundout for ishaun
brown picks UP his first rbi.

Speaker 3 (02:30:39):
Of the ninth so that's six out of seven innings that.
They've scored in there's.

Speaker 2 (02:30:45):
A pop up toward the left side of the infield.
The third basement thorntonsberry makes the grab and it was
more eventful than it probably, should have been but they.
Get it done chilicothi. Ads one on as we go
to the bottom, of the Seventh it's the Cavaliers Leading.
The waverley tiger there is. Thirteen to five this is.
High school baseball In, NINETY Four country wkkj.

Speaker 11 (02:31:06):

Speaker 6 (02:31:35):
NINETY Four country wkkj.

Speaker 2 (02:31:42):
Fottom of, The seventh inning waverley with a lot of.
Work to do is they come to the plate against
The Left hander james wrinkle out for his second. Inning
of work all he did was Strike Out three waverley
tigers in the sixth inning when he came on to
Relieve The, story tay harris, it'll, be two Three, Four For,

(02:32:04):
Waverley Caleb cox Braylan Spriggs. And xander Toller, and for
waverley they're hoping for a lot. More than that down.
Thirteen to five here as we go to the bottom of,
The Seventh inning Tay harris And. Land and ramie the
starters are the. Pitchers Of, record chel coffee three outs

(02:32:34):
away from getting back over five hundred at, Four and
three waverley in danger of falling to three and four
here in. This, young season.

Speaker 5 (02:32:43):
Hey you go back.

Speaker 3 (02:32:44):
TO the pitching I Don't think tay harris thought this
was going to end up how it is right now after,
that first inning but getting nice pitching, effort By him
and rink was coming here and done a good job
coming out.

Speaker 2 (02:32:56):
Of The bullpen caleb cox swings and fouls the First
offering from rinkle out of play on. The right side
that tells you a lot about the Mental Makeup. Of
tay harris couldn't have started much worse. Than it did
and then after that he. Was very, GOOD.

Speaker 3 (02:33:12):
After that i got what five runners left On, base
for waverley so not a lot of runners On base
for waverley after that first any.

Speaker 2 (02:33:24):
Ball knows no balls, in a strike Excuse Me. To
caleb cox here the Leadoff batter for waverley in the bottom,
of the seventh Well, one from wrinkle breaking ball chopped back,
up the middle gets over the head, of the pitcher
out towards short charging and under THE Glove Of. V
sean brown not sure there would have been a. Play
there Anyway We'll give caleb cox's third single of the
night and the leadoff Batter on for waverley here.

Speaker 3 (02:33:48):
In, the seventh yeah he's been able to get, some
singles here just hitting it to the right spot. Of
the field so, as you said three for three here
tonight or, three for.

Speaker 2 (02:33:59):
Four left hander fires and the breaking ball in for
a strike on the Outside Corner. TO braylin' spriggs rbi
hit back in the first one, for three tonight fly.
Out to centerfield last time, up the pitch ground ball
back up the middle. Could be too the second basement

(02:34:20):
bowling bobbles it tries to flip the second base, behind
the back and. Everybody. Is safe man that's got to go.
As an error it'll be a Fielder's Choice for braylan's spriggs.

Speaker 3 (02:34:40):
Bowling not at his normal. Third base position they're, playing
second base but.

Speaker 2 (02:34:45):
It was going to him. All the time over at
thirty moves to second base and the ball finds, Him
there too so, first and. Second nobody out First error
on chilicothee in this game is swinging a foul Straight
back from toller things.

Speaker 3 (02:34:58):
Off the backstop it's like the official scorer on the
scoreboard did not.

Speaker 2 (02:35:05):
Have A, TALK with john i was a tailor made.
Double play ball now the official Score technically is waverley's book,
in the dugout but somebody's got to put something. On
the scoreboard they also didn't give, him a hit so
runners at first and, second nobody out, wrinkle kicks fires

(02:35:27):
and the fastball catches. The outside edge Nothing in two
toller two for three. With two RBIs HE had, an
rbi hit a double back in the, first before scoring
then a groundout is SHORT and an rbi single in.
The fifth inning two breaking ball down low and a
good job to hold. Off of it he wanted to

(02:35:49):
go able to keep the bat, back one. Ball two
strikes that's. A tough hold, with two strikes the pitch
chop to Third. Glove by harris he, steps on third,
throws to first and a good arm gets him for

(02:36:11):
the double play and there. Are Two gone so toler
hits into the five to. Three double play.

Speaker 5 (02:36:20):
Where you talked about How that was taylor made.

Speaker 3 (02:36:23):
That last one there's a not, a tailor made but
a good job there by A Third Basement harris.

Speaker 2 (02:36:29):
Braylan spriggs winds up, at second base so a runner
at second Two down as waverley's down to, its final
out down thirteen To Five To chilicothy landon Randy will
step in started the game. As the pitcher now the
center fielder oh for THREE with an rbi ground out
back in the first first, pitch swinging here fouls it back.
To the net.

Speaker 5 (02:37:02):
Shadows almost over all the field now.

Speaker 2 (02:37:05):
Just a tiny sliver out. In right center ball up
and away here evens it up a ball. And a
strike the right field wall is, plastered in sunlight but
the whole surface pretty much has gone. Into the shadows
here's the one to one pitch. From the lefty wrinkle

(02:37:25):
fires swinging a mist and a. Breaking ball down but
he's got a pretty, nasty breaking ball. Nice and sharp
almost have to go up looking for. The breaking ball if, you're, a.

Speaker 3 (02:37:42):
Batter yeah tough, After you know harris has been throwing
some good stuff high and then you can get a
lot of low breaking Balls here with wrinkle.

Speaker 2 (02:37:51):
One two pitch outside. Two and two waverley down to its,
final strike here down thirteen To five to chillicothee runner
at second look back to second the two to two
from the left. Ee breaking ball this one wasted over.
The left side out of play back toward. The parking lot.

Speaker 3 (02:38:16):
You gotta be careful where you park HERE At The.
Va memorial stadium sometimes.

Speaker 2 (02:38:21):
Park as far away as you can with your rear window.
Facing the field in case one goes, through your window
at least it's the back window and out the front
and you can still. Drive it away spoke like. A
true veteran one of the first Things The great john
wind TOLD me when i. Started working here here's the
two to, two breaking ball strike three called stuck it right.
Over the plate and that. Is Your ballgame as chillicothe

(02:38:46):

waverley TIGERS Here At va memorial Stadium and the cavaliers.

Country Back Here.

Speaker 2 (02:40:10):
Va memorial stadium one final TIME tonight Is chilicothi beats
waverley thirteen to five. Here this, evening and oh if
you tuned in about ten minutes, into this ballgame you
probably would be surprised if that's, all You heard because
waverley in the bottom of the first scored four runs on,
four straight batters. Reaching and scoring it was a walk

(02:40:32):
and then three straight hits and then the groundout to
make it a four to two. Game after one but
chillicothe answered with three runs. In the second they added
a run. In the fourth they scored four more, in
the fifth two more, in the sixth one more. In
the seventh waverley was only able to get one more
run after the four run first that came in. The
fifth inning and your final score is. Thirteen to five

(02:40:54):
so final Totals for the, cavaliers thirteen, runs eleven, hits
one error seventh left on five of. Those Scoring, position for,
waverley five, runs nine, hits four errors they left six
in only, two of those including the very last one.
In Scoring position tay harris got The Start for chillicothee
he gets the win and goes to two to oh
after five, innings of work give, up five, runs seven,

(02:41:16):
hits three, strikeouts two walks, two wild pitches but they
gave up four of those five runs in the first
inning and he's settled down. Nicely after That, land and
ramie The, starter for waverley. Takes the loss he went three,
and two thirds give up six runs, on eight hits
struck out six walk two and through, Two wild pitches
ramy now oh to two no save, in this ballgame

(02:41:39):
and the time of the game two hours and twenty Nine.
Minutes against trillacotty with the win now, Four and three
waverley drops to.

Speaker 3 (02:41:47):
Three, AND four Yeah i think chillcothy tonight did a
great job of getting runners on base and then getting
those runners in once they, get them on and that's
something they've had some trouble with early here. In the
year but tonight did really do. A good job and,
AS you Said I thought tay harris did a wonderful
job of really settling down after that first end and

(02:42:09):
gave him a quality start because it didn't look that.
Way early, ON but again i think just a. Great
overall effort nice win Here. Tonight For, chillicothy for waverley it's.
Still a process there are a lot of young guys
on that team and. They're still learning, and you, know
you know you look at A Guy, like caleb cox
he went three for, four here tonight he struggled a little.

(02:42:31):
Bit early on so this is a team that's going
to get better as the. Year goes on but a
lot of youths still on both Of these teams.

Speaker 2 (02:42:38):
That should be fun to see how these two teams
end up by the time we get to the end,
of the season still a long way to. Go for
us we'll be Back, here next thursday BACK Here At
vam memorial stadium for a five o'clock First Pitch between Logan.

Kingdom of Fraud

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
