WLZ Detroit one six point seven, Detroit's wheels and I
like radio station.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Guaranteed human. All right, Josh Innis show, Wake up kids,
Time to rock boo. We got sports coming up in
just a little bit. Here as the Tigers won again,
red God, they win one today. It's called a winning street.
See what happens, But first we must supply you with
the rock and roll. It's Metallica The Josh inn Show. Sports. Ah, alrighty,
(00:36):
let's see here. The Tigers were victorious yesterday. Oh nothing, wow,
eight nothing, shut out victory, shut them out, shut them out.
Take that Tampa your Putts's whoa yeah, Jack Flaherty, Now
this doesn't happen very often. I mean Brandon, he only
went five innings, but five innings have shut out baseball
(00:56):
for old Jack. Who Zra is now down to five
point three look at him. I'm getting better. But Flaherty
ends up victorious. That is his first victory of the season. Okay,
he is now one and seven, So you gotta struck somewhere. Yeah,
you can't get to two wins if you don't get
to one. Brick. So the Tigers were eight to nothing
(01:19):
winners over Tampa of course they're still toiling around near
the bottom. And by near the bottom, I mean in
the American League Central. They are now not in last place.
They're half a game ahead of the Royals. So shove
it up. You're a Foh you was, you were on
this level one win, But now how far we've gone?
(01:40):
Yeah so, and no longer dead last in the American League.
That distinction belongs to the Angels and the Royals, not
the Tigers. We're back. By the way, the Tigers run
differential on the years minus thirty. It's not the worst
baseball by any means, but still minus thirty. It's also
(02:03):
elevated by the fact that they outscored them, you know,
eight nothing. So going into that game, obviously it was
you know, minus thirty eight. One game could really swing
those things. But uh, they're gonna go for a sweep.
So get you some of that action this afternoon in
Tampa Bay and your brooms out. Get ready. This is
(02:23):
the first time they've won. This is this is pretty
wild And I'm just doing this on the fly because
I didn't even think to look at this. This is
the first time the Tigers have won back to back
baseball games since May second and third. Oh wow. So
in a month and back when they won those back
(02:46):
to back games, they were eighteen and seventeen. They are
now twenty four and thirty eight. Yeah. Oof, I'd say
that's a good way to put it. Oof. Speaking of oof,
the Carolina Hurricanes had a two nothing first period lead
in the Stanley Cup Finals Game one last night over Vegas.
(03:06):
They lost. They were up to nothing, they ended up losing.
That is the first time that a road team was
down multiple goals at any point in Game one of
the Stanley Cup Finals and came back to win in history.
They were zero in fifty five this night. We don't
really care about who wins the Stanley Cup. It ain't
the Red Wings, so what do we care, right, But
(03:27):
it is significant because it is the first time and
now I guess that would make it fifty six tries
that a road team in Stanley Cup Finals Game one
was down multiple goals at any point and actually won.
I think Vegas is just the team of destiny, the
teams they've motored through to do this, the games they've won.
They won some overtime games against the Mammoth early. They
(03:49):
took down the best team in hockey from the regular
season Colorado pretty easily, and now they're facing a very
good Carolina team and overcame a two nothing deficit on
the road. Vegas is just a team of death today
at this point. There's no way they lose that series.
There's no way at this point. And there you go
Game one of the NBA Finals tonight. Again, what do
we care? The Pistons aren't in it, and does anybody
(04:09):
really want to watch? No, it's the correct dance. Nope,
So there you go. Thank you. That is sports coming
up at eight o'clock. Your first opportunity to score twenty
five hundred dollars. It is the Josh inn Show. This
is the Josh Innish Show on one.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Who's six point seven dollz Detroit Wheels Figure eleven.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
We are Detroit's Wheels. I'm Josh, He's James. What's shake
and friends? Glad you guys are hanging out with us.
Here is a story. This story is one that may
make you laugh. A man who is thirty three years
of age is in the hospital. Why is this man
in the hospital, Well, he tried to do it yourself
at home, remedy for pain that he was suffering. From
(04:57):
in his lower back. So he was trying to alleviate
the pain. What was he trying? I have lots of
luwerback pain I need to alleviate. Well, he injected semen
into his arm as a remedy for pain. I don't
know why this would be something that would help alleviate pain.
I don't know if chat GPT said, hey, you're suffering
from some pain, maybe inject some semen into your arm,
(05:18):
Well that's probably I won't go. I would think not.
But there's no way this guy thought to do this
on his own. He had to have looked this up somewhere,
like some chat GPT or some AI, and some AI
told him to do that.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Maybe he's got like some sort of vampire chat GPT
or some sort of gaye hoorn chad GPT and everything
you put in the answer, Yeah, it's either bodily fluids
or some sort of sex act.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
So when asked about it, the man said that he'd
been injecting semen into his arm as a do it
yourself remedy for pain. I would imagine that the supply
was also there from a do it yourself approach too,
But he'd been doing that for a year and a half,
Presumably the fluid he was injecting was retrieved. Okay, walk
a way, I already made that joke story. The man
(06:02):
was admitted to the hospital and treated for bacterial infection
that it developed as a result. Although I would think that,
I mean, it's your semen, yeah, Like it's kind of
like I don't know, but I guess then again, like
if you like put your poop in your eye or something,
you're still gonna get a guy. Yeah, So I guess
your semen can cause a bacterial infection.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
I don't Yeah, I don't think the semen is supposed
to be swimming around in that area of your body.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
I mean, it still came from your body, It's true.
So I guess, like, look, I'm gonna judge the guy
obviously because this is dumb. But I wouldn't have thought
that you'd get a bacterial infection from putting your own
semen in your arm. Maybe I'm stupid, probably, but at
least I mean, if it's my semen, I would think
that that, like, it's not gonna help the pain, probably,
but I would imagine I wouldn't get sick from it.
(06:45):
Wonder what his DIY remedy is for a broken foot
Wonka walka. But anyway, so this guy, uh heuh, he
is now sick. He has got a bacterial infection, but
everything is fine. Other than that, it's a little bacterial
infection clear up in a few days. That's on it.
(07:06):
That said, Sean tes, Do you think that was a
good idea? No, thank you, sir. I wanted that the room.
But that's the thing is, we're guaranteed human around here.
So if a human, if you would have talked to
a human and would have said, hey, do you think
you should inject yourself you know, a semen, this human
would have said no.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
I bet you, I bet you nine out of ten
would have said no. But there's still that one person
like you know what, I think the sacts behind that
is solid you. I think you should give it a word.
So what's the worst thing that happened? I mean, honestly,
that's what I would have told you. If i'd take
your approach. You know, it's kind of your own body.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
I wouldn't do it, but I mean, look at your semen.
I would inject somebody else's semen into my arm to
alleviate pain. But what if that actually, what if that
one worked? What if you had to get the semen
from some young man, you know, younger viral man, and
inject that in you, and then you would become like
younger I'd do that. Do you feel better? I would say?
I think I would. I mean, if the if, the
(07:57):
if the science were there for it and the side
and said, hey, look here, if you inject this other
man's semen into your arm, you'll feel younger and more
v ryle and your pain will go away. Wouldn't you
like if your lower backwards and someone came to you
and said, hey, inject yourself with steve semen, I'd be like,
all right, I'm gonna burn all this calories getting that
(08:17):
semen out of Steve's The Josh Nis Show.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
On one OO six point seven double LLZ Detroit Wheels, No.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
One of six point seven Detroit's Wheels, Josh and James,
It's the Joshennis Show coming up. We have issues with
drag queens. Drag queen issues in Madison Heights. Not to
cast aspersions or anything, but you know who lives in
Madison Heights. I know Casey. Oh, you know who's not
at work to review Casey you're trying to say Casey's
(08:49):
a drag queen. I'm not saying he has risen. I'm
just saying, is this like a Batman situation?
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Here?
Speaker 2 (08:55):
He takes off his wig and he takes off his
glasses and he's a drag queen. Josh Ennish shows Brett
Michael said, Hey, kiss my ass, Trump, I'm not playing
your little rally. Oh wow he dropped out too, huh
oh yeah, they all did for the most other than
Vanilla Ice. I think what's the latest on that. I
don't know. Let's see who is actually playing last night?
(09:16):
Or Trump wanted to just cancel it. He just wanted
to cancel it into a speech like, oh boy, can't wait.
Who is still playing at Freedom to fifty? I think
flow Rider maybe? Okay, right? And Vanilla Ice. Let's see
performers who are still listed as participating flow Rider, Vanilla Ice,
fab More Van Do you know who fab More Van is?
(09:40):
Have all their albums? That's actually a person and he
is half of Melly Vanilla. Oh okay, the half that's alive,
the breathing half of Melly Vanilli. So is he gonna
get out and lips in both parts? I think so wow,
and he's gonna dance doubly good for both woh. I
like that term doubly good. And See and See Music
Factory weekend. I saw that the dude from CNC Music Factory.
(10:02):
He's like, A, it really is show. Yeah, But he
was basically and I kind of agreed with him. He's
basically bitching at people complaining that he's still playing this show,
and he's like, I really don't care what any of
you people say, and he just kind of went off
and I kind of enjoyed it. It was refreshing that
you know, it came from the dude from C and
C Music Factory, but still it was a refreshing take
(10:25):
on things. He's like, you don't see Marky Mark with
a funky bunch getting offers from Play for the President?
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Do you No?
Speaker 2 (10:31):
You don't, but See and See Hey, do you see
Ace of Bass?
Speaker 4 (10:36):
No?
Speaker 2 (10:37):
I try to think of the other big artists around there,
all those like one hit wonders of the early ninety
He sees the one that says, hey about its okay?
The Quad City DJ say, oh yeah, the Quad City
DJ's are out, but you know who's still here? C
and C Music factory. The commodores were like, hey, you
can kiss my ass. But the dude ser old the
(11:01):
sixty nine boys are coming. What about the whoop? There
it is Tad Tag team back again. But no, so
far it's just flow right of Vanilla, Ice, fab More
Van of Milli Vanilli and See and See music factors.
Your question is actually very valid though. Does he go
out there and sing the actual like lip sing the
Milli Vanilli song? Or does he try to sing the
(11:23):
Milli Vanilli which is not gonna sound at all like
the actual version of Milli Vanilli. That's a great question.
See now you want to go to the show? Well,
I mean I wanted to anyway, but now I really
want to go. Now I'm gonna make it a special
request to get to this show or just watch it.
Maybe if you win the twenty five hundred dollars that
would given away, there you go take a trip to
(11:44):
the show. That's where my money's gonna go. I'm gonna
make a trip to see well somewhere across the country,
I'll go see fab More van of Milli Vanilly. Hell,
for twenty twenty five hundred bucks, you're probably getting the
VIP meet and greet with the Milli Vanilli guy, I
would assume. So do you also get to meet the
people who actually sang the song? No, that costs extra.
The other thing that's interesting about that is how angry
(12:04):
people were over that, and it's like, did you dig
the tunes? Yeah, they were good tunes? Then shut up?
Who cares who was singing? I'm one of some good
looking guys were dancing. I thought that was the controversy
with the fact that those guys won Grammys. Well they did,
but I mean someone sang the songs will get the
Grammys to the people who actually sang it. They weren't.
They weren't Ai, they were guaranteed human. I was around
back then, so deal with that. You know what also sucks?
(12:27):
And I know this was supposed to be sports, but
I'll be honest with you. Sports really bores me. When
all the teams stink. This time of year is not
a good time of year. If the baseball team's no good.
So they went last night, they did, they won nothing,
so rock on. But one thing that made me sad
is I saw that PBO Bryson died. Oh yeah, p
BO Bryson, who sang a whole New World and sang
(12:51):
Beauty at the Beast. But one of my favorite eighties
slow jams is a song called if ever You're in
My Arms again. Peebo died I had stroke the other day.
I'm like, well that's a bummer. But now he's dead soon,
I'm sad. Someone tell Miss Charon to have a special
show today for peebow Bryce and on mix. I'll listen
(13:13):
to it all seem so we see all the load
that you gave me, the feelings we should that's good stuff.
That's eighty slow jam goodness text. But he's dead now.
But he also did the actual studio versions of Beauty
and the Beast, which was that the one with Celine
(13:34):
Dion and then Regina something or another Regina Bell, does
that sound right? Did a whole New World? See from
Aladdin to the actual singers of the songs. So yeah,
I do think Selin Dion with people. Well, I saw Pemo,
rest in.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
Power came or whoever slam Lady, Yeah, Angela Lansbury. Also,
this is the dude that does the landsong him, Yeah,
he does the you know there's the.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Radio version of it. The other one is like Jafar,
whoever sings it. The guys were Aladdin is I guess
his name? The guy who's singing in the mirror is Aladdin, yes,
and Jasmine and ja'far that parrot. All right, But anyway,
Pebo Bryson died, so I know you guys are sad
(14:26):
about that. You guys listen to classic rock. You should
get used to death. It's coming for a lot of
these people. And granted this is not classic rock, of
course for a lot of it, but it is. But still, anyway,
I'm done with Pebo Bryce and now rest in power. King.
I love you speak enough, all right. So we have
(14:47):
got a story about drag queens in Madison Heights. Oh
we'll get into that, and a whole lot of other
stuff and twenty five hundred dollars. I'm tired of not
talking in case he's not here, So maybe we can
today one of those six point seven Detroit's wheels, Josh
innis show, let's hear a story about drag queens and
(15:08):
Madison Heights.
Speaker 6 (15:08):
Yeah, Rubert was a four to three vote Madison Highs
City Council voting to cancel this drag queen.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Her name is Jaden Black.
Speaker 6 (15:16):
We got a chance to sit down with her.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
All right, now, I'm gonna start here. First of all,
this is a story about like story time with drag queens,
like the drag queen's reading to kids or whatever. Okay, fine,
I'm gonna push back on something here. A drag queen
is someone who just dresses in women's clothing basically. Usually
that's how that works. Very rarely are there drag queens
who are like ladies that dress as guys. Right, Like,
(15:40):
generally speaking, ninety nine percent of the time, a drag
queen is a dude that dresses like a lady. So
that's a dude that's not a woman. Like if I
were a woman, I'd start to get annoyed by these things,
like that's not a woman, that's a man baby.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
Not that I care.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
I'm not like anti drag queen or something like that,
but I'm annoyed when it's like we're referring to a
dude in a dress as her. Maybe this would identifies
as a her. That's fine. You can identify as a
door knob if you want to, but I'm not going
to call you a doorknob if you're a person home knob. Okay,
take a look.
Speaker 6 (16:09):
At some video. She actually was reading a book to me,
just like she does to kids all the time.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
This is something that she's been doing for years.
Speaker 6 (16:17):
And she was, of course supposed to be reading to
the kids during the drag Queen storytime at the Pride.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Festival this weekend.
Speaker 6 (16:24):
So she's stressing that drag Queen Storytime focuses on kindness
and acceptance, and she says that she wants to be heard.
She does not want her voice to be silentced take
a listen, wonderful.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
I used to teach elementary seven hundred and fifty kids music,
Karen Niphilani. So did you teach these kids in drag
Like that would be kind of fun. You go into
music class and there's a drag queen. I would have
enjoyed music class. I think that would have made it
more fun. I think school may actually be more fun
if it was all taught by drag queens. Look, I'm
very pro drag queen. I'm not against the concept of
(16:59):
drag queens at all. So like, if you're bored at school,
but like the kids are more interested because a drag
queen is teaching. Look, I would have been I think
it'd be fun where's the hard questions? Lady? Follow up?
Did you teach music as a drag queen or did
you do it as a dude? I know what to
say around kids and what not to say around kids.
You know what I mean. They're dressed up, they're jovial.
Speaker 6 (17:22):
You know, they're encouraging kids to laugh.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
You just described a clown by the way, like they're trusted,
they're jovial, and they make the kids laugh. I was
raised Christian, and I feel like we should accept everyone.
Jus wants us to be loved and love thy neighbor
the joy of mine. See. Look, look, here's the reason
why these drag queen stories are a big deal, real talk.
It's because of the people on the other side of
(17:47):
it to make it a big deal. That's the same
reason why parental advisory stickers made all these rap artists
a big deal in the early nineties, because you had
a bunch of people saying that they were dangerous. I
guarantee you that the vast majority of drag queens, and
I'm not talking about people who have like a a
gender dysmorphia or something and like don't they feel like
they're in a different body or whatever, those that's a
(18:07):
different animal, that's transgender whatever, that's a different world. When
we're talking about people that are just dudes dressed in dresses, right,
and the drag queens. I'm gonna guarantee you, this is
the Joshitnis guarantee that most of these people are just
harmless people. Yeah, Like, what's the difference between that and
missus doubtfire? If Robin Williams showed up at your kids'
school today, which would be amazing because he'd been dead
(18:28):
for like ten years. But if Robin Williams showed up
at your kids' school today dressed is missus doubtfire? If
d Snyder showed up as one of the Twisted Sisters,
he shows up there, you'd be like, Oh, that's fine.
That's the thing that I thought that interesting about this.
Usually the people who are outraged by drag queens are
the same people who were watching Motley Crue dressed as
(18:49):
chicks and Poison dressed as chicks, and Twisted Sister dressed
as chicks and didn't care they listen to upuhon Twisted
Sister right now, that's real rock and roll. But you
have a problem with somebody wearing a has to go
read some books to the kids. I mean, like, look,
I'm not some like like I don't have kids, I
have a dog. But if the drag queen wanted to
take my dog for a walk, I'd be like, okay,
(19:10):
I don't care.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
I would let my son go to a drag queen
book reading if that you know? To me, it's all
about the message that is being conveyed during the event. Correct,
She had said, what Kindness and acceptance, like dad, I
think are two great things that should be bestowed.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Upon my children. Yeah, I'm fine with it. And if
it if him going into this gives him more acceptance
to somebody who is a drag queen, and then I'm
I'm fine with it. I have less of an issue
with this than I will because I have no issue
as long as you're just reading books. It's wacky and
kind of weird and kind of like why do you
have to be in drag to read the kids? Why
is that the bit? But like, I don't care. It's
better than when you go to these schools and they
(19:47):
got teachers trying to indoctrinate kids and tell them what
to believe and what to think, which is happening at
younger and younger ages. Now, I'd be better with this
than a teacher, you know, telling you to not tell
your parents how you feel about your gender morphear or
something and just go get us such change or something,
you know, like I'd rather that. I mean, that's a
very extreme example, but I mean they're I'd rather that.
(20:08):
Like this this is just some dude in address reading
books to kids. Isn't kind of weird? Sure, but I
think the people who are outraged by it make it
exist even more and make it a bigger deal, thus
empowering people to do it more. And then that's when
you start to get the weirder people involved. Yes, if
you're like, oh now I'm gonna im prove a point,
I'm gonna go do it improve a point to the
(20:29):
biggest extreme I possibly can. Sure, that's what happens with
gay pride parades. There's no issue with a gay pride parade.
You want to go out and celebrate that you're gay. Fine.
The problem is you get the people that protest these things,
and that's when you start getting the extreme people out
that are like I'm just gonna whip my dog out
at the parade. Just pack on my week spin. Yes,
it's like, well, no, that's not how this is supposed
to work. But they're doing it just to throw double
(20:51):
birds at the people who are the loudest opposition. Yes,
like I don't believe that this person. Is it weird
to walk around on a dress, I guess, but like,
I don't think these kids are being warped because of this.
When your kids go home, teach your kids what you
want them to believe or what we're there right there.
Just teach them to be decent people. Answer their questions.
And I'm not saying being a drag queen is not
(21:11):
normal or is normal. What I'm saying is just be
a normal, upstanding citizen and be a good person and whatever. Like,
you can't come on school to be the ones teaching
your kids the right and wrong of things, because schools
are pretty eft up at this point, right there's a
lot of fed up stuff about what's going on at schools.
Different teachers have different points of view, so you know,
you know, you don't really know what they're gonna be getting, correct,
(21:32):
So at your house, guide them in whatever direction you want,
and they may go that way and they may not. Like,
you know, my dad was, you know. I mean, look,
we I wasn't in the most strict household ever, but
my dad told me not to embarrass him. That was
this big thing. Don't go out and embarrass me. And
I followed the rules for the most part when I
was a kid in high school and the middle school
and all that. I didn't want to disappoint my dad.
But I mean, my dad was a He went out
(21:53):
and had a lot of whoope with a lot of
different ladies, and weren't my mom. My dad made his
mistakes in life. I didn't, you know. But my point
is you just kind of go out and you guide
the kids and they go where they go. I don't
believe these kids in Madison Heights are going to be
wrecked because there's some dude in a dress reading them
I'm a little teapot or something like that, like who
cares that they're Berenstein Bears? Like I don't think that.
(22:13):
But what makes it stronger is when you get a
group of people that come out and they oppose this,
and then that's when you get the extreme on either
side out and that's where you get the ones who
are just gonna go out to try to make a
point and be more graphic and bad about things, and
then it hurts people like this person who I'm going
to assume isn't a dreadful human being because it's a
dude in a dress that's reading the kids. Is it
weird that that's the bit? Sure, like, why does that
(22:35):
have to be a drag queen that comes to read
the kids? But I don't think it's ruining these kids.
These kids are not wrecked by this. That's been something
that's been in kids' movies for a hundred years, the
dude wearing a dress and we all laugh at them.
We all like that be Schneier twist and sister Rah
missus doubtfire. Yeah, jawanna Man. Nobody watched Juwanna Man, but
jo Wanna Man. Like we all laughs at the TUTSI
(22:55):
we laugh at the concept of that. But when a
drag queen goes in and reads the the big bad Wolf,
all of a sudden, the world's ending. Like that's my
issue with that. But anyway, we have regularly scheduled music
to get back to. I appreciate you for attending our
ted talk. One of six point seven Detroit's we Josh
in the show Josh and James. Hello lovers. Today is
(23:18):
Susie Quatro's birthday. Who Susie Quatro? She's from Detroit, but
she was on Happy Days? Was she pinky or unless
she was leather Tuscadero. But she has one of the
great duets a song called Stumbling In, great yacht rock banger.
Who's this guy that's on this song with her? Something
(23:41):
Susie Quatro and that guy stumbling In? I think Doug
knows Susie Quatra, probably Chris Norman. Chris Norman and Susie
Quadro stumbling In. She's seventy six and she is from Detroit, Michigan.
Anybody who knows Susie Quadron of past level? I don't
(24:09):
know what part of town is Susie Quadros from. These
are the questions I'd like to find that out. Oh,
how about that she was born in Detroit but raising
Grosse porn. There you go, nep days or birthday? She's
(24:30):
seventy six, that she ever located words? Oh, well, you've
been launch string your national rock career. Why about that?
I love it is a line. So it began foolishly
Lana hats on the table stemma and it's yacht rock season,
(24:52):
by the way, which means it's time to play yachtzi
on Sundays and get hammered on bush lattes and roll
the dice. Not to tell me. If you made a
friend with a boat and everyone on the boat and
do some actual yacht rock, I should yat rocking. God,
that'd be a good time. God, that'd be a good
time beyond the actual boat. Play yacht rock on a
boat or you kidding me? I don't even like boats,
but I feel like I need to be on a
(25:13):
boat and listen to yacht rock. Here. Find me a
list of the top ten yacht rock songs of all time,
and I'll tell you if I agree with that or not.
I need a yacht rocket definitive yacht rock list because
it's yacht rock season. Baby, everybody talks about summertime. Summertime
is yacht rock time. This is on my list of
the top ten, though Susie Quatro and Chris Norman stambling
(25:36):
in when me start at the bottom. Go to number
two Google list. Yeah ten, This is it by Kenny Logs,
A good banger, Big Kenny Loggins, Guy here Number nine. Loggins,
Loggins and Messina all of them. Number nine, Ride Like
the Wind about Christopher Cross. A lot of people kind
of overvalue some of the Christopher Cross stuff. But Ride
Like the Wind, to me, is better than Sailing. A
(25:57):
Sailing's not a bad song, but everybody puts that out
the tip of the list because it's about sailing. It's
a slow, boring song for what it's worth, and Ride
Like the Wind is much better. Eight Rich Girl by
Hallan Oates. I disagree. I don't really put hall and Oates.
To me, hallan Oates isn't a yacht rock thing, but
they're a blue eyed soul which is kind of yacht rock.
But I don't know. I don't feel that Hallan Oates
(26:20):
is yacht rock. I think they've expanded the meaning and
the definition of yacht rock too much for my liking.
They've kind of moved the needle a little bit, and
I disagree with some of it. So how about number
seven What You Won't Do for Love by Bobby Caldwell. Now,
Bobby Caldwell is an interesting one. I'm gonna play that
(26:41):
for you. I do they have his picture up there?
Are you looking at his picture? Don't look at his picture? Right?
I'm gonna play a song for you, okay, and what
You Won't Do for Love, which is the song that
was just mentioned. I'm gonna play this song, and I
want you to just tell me what you think Bobby
Caldwell looks like when you hear him sing. Just kind
(27:01):
of just just listen to the music and then tell
me what you assume Bobby Caldwell looks like. Gets you
on the just I feel like he's trying to throw
me for a loop.
Speaker 7 (27:19):
So he's not gonna sound probably looks because honestly, I
feel like it's probably an African American man. Okay, but
I'm gonna I'm gonna say he's probably a white guy
with like a bozo hair.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
You know, look him up, Look up at Bob Bobby Caldwell.
But Bobby Caldwell is one of the great upsets of
all time. What's what he actually looks like versus what
he sounds like. Oh, he's just a white guy. But
every time of these pictures looks like he's in the beaches. Well, dude,
what I'm saying is every human on the planet assumed
that Bobby Caldwell was a black guy and was no
(27:55):
white dude. Upset of the Century, Yeah, one of the
other yacht rockers in there. This is a banger. You
won't do. Number six reminiscing by a Little river Band.
They're much better little river band songs than reminiscing, like
the night Owl as a bang. You Got a Man
on Your Mind's a banger. Lonesome Loser is a banger.
(28:19):
Taken easy on me as a banger. I'm a big
little river band guy. I have a number five Baby
come Back by Player. That's fine. This is a better
Player song than that too, But that's a hipster opinion
on my part because everybody knows Baby come Back. Number
four I keep Forgetting by Michael McDonald. I don't like
that one as much. I'm not as big on Michael
McDonald as a lot of people are. And I really
(28:39):
don't like the Doobie Brothers. Number three Peg by Steely Dan.
Peg from Steely Dan. As a banger, I think they're
better Steely Dan songs as well, but PEG's a good jam.
I just love Steely Dan. I don't know what I've
become in my life, but I'm a guy that likes
Steely Dan. All of a sudden Cow is a good
(29:00):
Seely Dan to meet. The music doesn't matchup with the name.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
When I hear Steely Dan, I'm picturing like a big
Henmu metal hard rock group.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
No Steely Dans. These guys just yacked out of their
minds singing this bitch. It's good stuff though. Number two
The Old School is another good Steely Dan song. FM
is a good Steely Dan song. There's a lot of
good ones. Number two your favorite What a Fool Believes
by the Doobie Brothers. Yeah, I just don't like the
(29:29):
Dooley Brothers a good song. I just don't like the
Doobie Brothers. You guys, it's number one, Sailing you got it?
Ding ding ding ding. There are so many better songs
than sailing. It's a lazy move to say that sailing
is the best yacht rock song ever. Is a lazying
google lazy. That's a lazy opinion because it is not
the best. It's not even close to the best yacht
(29:50):
rock song ever. I wouldn't put it in my top twenty. Wow,
is this just a it's a boring slow song. Yacht
Rock is supposed to be fun, dude, you know, have
a yacht rock hipster man? I am. I don't like that.
I don't like the Doobie Brothers, so I like the
one off one hit wonder Dudes, you know, like the
Robbie Duprees and people like that, the Suzi Quatros. I'm
(30:11):
not here now. I love Kenny Loggins, but you want
your underground yacht rock. I'm here for the underground one
off yacht Is it technically underwater yacht rock? It's underwater
yacht rock. They're so underwater right now, we've not even
heard of them. That's what I'm here for. I'm not
here for all this. Like I actually I've grown to
hate the song Sailing. It's a it's an instant skip
(30:32):
for me. Whenever it's on the yacht rock playlist, it
has to be there. But it's just basically you took
it because it says sailing in the title, so it's
gotta be the number one yacht rock song of all time.
And that's not true. It's not even remotely true. If
you want to get in eight seven seven nine eight
eight one o six seven, how about you text text
the word Josh in your message to five one eight
eight one. Give me your top yacht rock song of
(30:54):
all time. Let's build that yacht rock playlist. It's getting
warm outside, it's that time. It's a yacht rock time. Now,
this song is not yacht rock. This is Jet. This
is just rock. This is just rock that does not
take place on a boat. You could listen to it
on a boat, yes, but a lot of people probably don't.
(31:14):
You'd probably be cooler if you did. This is not that.
This is just rock from Jet's Cold Hard Bitch is
the name of this song, and you know it's real rocks.
It says bitch in the title. Yeah, he's cold and hard.
Hard speak speaking of someone that was cold and hard.
But you do have a story about someone being dead
(31:35):
in a hotel room and Taylor, Oh, come on, a
local story. Yeah, a local story. But you can do
that too. So I have a hot take here. It's
it's more of a theory. It's a conspiracy theory. I
got a text here that says, get back to playing music.
Nobody cares about your opinion or what you think. I
have a theory. It's a conspiracy theory, if you will.
(31:57):
I think Casey has a burner account that he's sends
text messages to the station because the text says get
back to playing music. Nobody cares about what your opinion is.
I think Casey has a burner account that just sends
us text messages about not playing enough music. That is
my That is my theory. It's like it's a conspiracy
(32:18):
I get. But I think that this person is Casey.
Oh really I do. I just I get text messages
on the text which we don't get very many text mesters,
But get back to playing music. Nobody cares about your opinion.
Then I went back and looked at all the comments.
Everything this person sends is just about playing more music.
And what did we do a couple of weeks ago,
Casey came in and said, we're playing a whole lot
(32:39):
more music. Shut up. I think that this is Casey's
way of getting his message to us through. I think
there's a burner. I think Casey's got a burner, is
what I think. So that's all. So that's all. I
don't know, but interesting. You guys can be the judge.
If you want to text text the word Josh and
your message. If you think the show is better at
this point the way that Casey he has, that's fine.
(33:00):
I mean, you can let me know, text the word
Josh in your message to five eight one. But I
think I think that's Casey. Come on, Casey. I think
Casey has a burner account and he texts us via
the burner account about how we need to be playing
more music and sneaky little devil, it is all right,
so we'll play some more rock and roll now, because
obviously Casey's listening. So let's go.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
WLZ Detroit one O six point seven, Detroit's wheels and
radio station.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Guaranteed Human all right, that is Guns n' Roses live
and let die. Uh, this was not meant to be
this way, but let's hear a story about a mopical
person that was faud dead, no hotel, Let's get live.
The Fox choos Jessica dupe act. She's in the newsroom
with this story. Josh Oop Neck's never there for good news.
There's never like, hey, cat was rescued from a tree,
(33:51):
or like someone used a baboon heart to save a
human's life. So it's like, hey, there's a dead body
found in the motel. It is a diddler somewhere. There's
a diddlers and deads. That's what she's there for. When
dupe NAC's on the case, you got diddlers are dead.
Speaker 8 (34:06):
False And Rupert wasn't ultimately the boyfriend that told anyone
that his girlfriend Rebecca had died. It was actually an
employee at the Red roof In hotel in Taylor that
went to check on the room and found her dead inside.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Anytime you think that you're not going to get your
security deposit back at the hotel, just for the incidentals,
just remember that man. My man used his credit card
when he checked into the Red roof In. He's like,
I look forward to getting that one hundred dollars back
when we check out. That incidentals, you're not getting that
deposit back. I wouldn't leave a dead body.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
Not when you leave a dead body in the room,
image being that worker and you walk in, You're like,
please tell me it's a sex doll. Please tell me
it's a sex doll. No, it's not a sex it's
not a sex Now. I got a paperwork I got
to fill out, and I got some phone calls to make.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
Now I got to call someone else into work with me.
This is a two persons. I just wanted to come
in here, clean this this glorious room here at the
Taylor Red Wolf In Yeah, maybe go in the bathroom,
sniff some glue for a little bit to kill some time. Yeah,
feel a little bitter about my life. Yeah, vacuum the rug.
We tend to clean out the coffee maker, act like
we change the sheets. Yes, Now we got to get
(35:15):
the corner here. We got to call the police. The
whole day, My whole day is ruined. I got to
call someone in here so they can help me out
because we got to do a deep claim, like we're dexter.
Speaker 8 (35:24):
Now that boyfriend needs some questioning. According to police, he's
on the run right now.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Oh you don't think you imagine that he does. The
guy was in the hotel, checks into the hotel with
this woman. She's dead now in the hotel and he's
nowhere to be found, and we're like, the police feel
like he needs to be questioned. The condition of the
room man, and where's Nancy Guthrie? Of itself? Was that
of a hoarder status?
Speaker 8 (35:46):
I will say, trash, two dogs and on the bed
the body of Rebecca Payton.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
Note also in that hotel room at the Red Roof
finn those dogs definitely never got walked. So I mean
they're like, hey, can you guys, let us. She's like taping, Hey,
can we go for a walk. No, we can't go
for a walk because one person's gone and the other
person's dead. Taylor police say, And it's sad that, like
someone's dead in a hotel room and the boyfriend's on
the run, And were like, no, I feel bad for
(36:13):
the dogs. I feel terrible for those Yes, friend living
with her corpse for days.
Speaker 9 (36:19):
Definitely bizarre concerning you know, makes you wonder his current
meental status and that and what would make someone want
to stay with someone to cease like that?
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Loyalty, we say. Christopher schoen Maker never reported her dead.
Speaker 8 (36:31):
Simplease skip down last month grabbing his late girlfriend's credit
cards to use before he went.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
I think she would have wanted me to have these.
She told me. It's in your will, she said. Listen,
if ever we had this conversation last night when we
were watching Ridiculousness, she said, listen, if I ever die
in a hotel room, I want you to take my
credit cards and leave me here. And in fact I
had her write it down on this takeout napping from
the Olive garden as well. This is her signature here
(36:59):
in cram here. Yes, we use the kids menu items
to wrake this will up. She told me to use
the little bag that comes in the ice bucket to
carry the credit cards. That's actually what you don't need
to do to.
Speaker 8 (37:13):
Say about a person who's gonna sleep in the same
room as a corpse morbid.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Uh, he's down to party. It's definitely the wild card
of the group. You know, you never predict what that
guy is gonna do. One day, he could be wiggling
as wien are out and you know, in public. Next
day he's living in a hotel room and Taylor with
a dead body for a week. You know, guys, we're
gonna speak with someone on the scene. Yeah, he seems
(37:39):
like the kind of guy that would inject himself with
his own semen. Yes, he's wild in that way. Obviously. See,
there's something not right. Rebecca's family is dumbfounded by it all.
It's just the way it happened that uh, that is devastating.
In autops he shows no obvious signs of foul play.
Speaker 8 (37:56):
She suffered from serious medical issues too, But regardless, investigators
want to talk to Shoemaker asap.
Speaker 4 (38:03):
Well.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Yes, obviously, why would this guy just not say, hey,
my girlfriend's dead. Why is he on the run? Why
does he ever credit cards? Obviously they should talk, There
should be a conversation that should be had.
Speaker 9 (38:17):
Yes, clearly, do you believe we do have some sort
of crime here and we're gonna present those facts that
Wayne conne Prosker's office.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
I too believe we have some sort of crime here,
and I have no official training or anything. I feel
like there's a crime that's been committed here. At worst,
you've I mean, here's best case scenario. Best case scenario
is this person died of natural causes and this guy
just took her credit cards and left. Worst case scenario
is he killed this person and took her credit cards
and left the dogs unattended. Well, who said she? They
(38:46):
said she has some medical issues. What if he took
her medication and sold it for drugs? If he took
for himself, I mean he mashed up some of it,
snorted it. Boy, strange things are afoot at the Red
roof In and Taylor, things were wild it is anyway,
I feel like the Red roof In like what here's
a morbid question. What mid level hotel chain do you
(39:11):
think has seen the most dead body? Hotel six they
leave the light on. That's why I want to say
that Jennie Lane of Warren died at a red roof
in Okay, I'm gonna ask chat the red roof.
Speaker 10 (39:24):
This is the blood of the red and the red
roof in the roof roof with the blood of virgins.
I don't know, but enjoy yourself. Okay, come on, do
you do this a purpose?
Speaker 4 (39:40):
Not?
Speaker 2 (39:41):
I swear I don't look at what songs are coming
up next. No, you gotta figure out when we're going
to do our morbid stories. Now I'm really realizing why
I never turn on the radio. So chat GPT does
not have any definitive answer of the hotel where the
most dead bodies have been discovered. I feel like the
lacint would probably have quite a few too. For some
no lodge. Oh I forgot, because you would think. Do
(40:04):
you think more dead bodies are found at hotels or motels?
Like motels, I feel like there's more cedy stuff going
on in the motel. Yeah, like like like a one
story place where all the doors lead outside. How do
you feel about staying in hotels where there's the doors
lead to the outside, like there's no inside dwelling. If
that makes sense. I think I would be fine with it.
I mean, I've done it, but it's like it's it
(40:25):
weirds me out. I don't like that people can just
walk even though they can walk by your door if
you're inside. It's just something about the outside world having
access to your door that bothers me. And we stayed
at like a CD motel in Vegas ones and it
was it was CD in the parking lot at night,
like I wouldn't let my girlfriend's sister take the dog
(40:45):
out to go potty by herself. Yeah, I understand that's
that's understandable. There might have been a couple of dead
bodies in that room before we got there. Let's see
why this person is calling wheels Hello, Hey, how's going good?
What's up? Yeah, just add to the story you're just
talking about with the dead body. Yep, there's the same
(41:05):
red roof end that caught on fire a couple of
months back. O boys, curse, I think what we have
here is the squatters there. I see it all together
now now I see what we've got going on here.
Thank you. So this is not a good red roof
(41:26):
in where was it? Taylor? Let's see what kind of
reviews the red roofin and Taylor gets Continental breakfast was lacking.
But uh, but that the dead body in the bed
actually kept me quite warm at night. Red roof in Taylor, Michigan.
When I checked in, I found a free bag of
cocaine on the counter in the bathroom. Het you know
(41:47):
that's two class even. No, it was I found a
bag of matched up terros. Somebody matched up altoids to sniff. Okay,
so this would be the red roof in Detroit and
Metro de Metro Air report one, it says, get Taylor's
kind of well, no, It'saley that. I don't know if
there are multiple red roof ins and Taylor look for
the one that burned the red WOOLVN Taylor, Michigan burned
(42:11):
by fires, Yeah, the cruise battle blaze it. Well, now
there's a motel six where there was a fire in Southgate?
Is that even here? Southgate's too too far south because
too colast to Ohio. Okay, so that's not it. Huh,
I don't see. Okay, so this was the the Taylor
red roof in? Is all this story says? I mean,
there's gotta be I mean there's gotta be one. Okay,
(42:34):
what do you do with that room? Now? I mean
obviously they still let those rooms out. So now what
you do is you charge double the rent and you
invite all of the ghost Encounters groups yeah, to come
in and hold fances in there at night, and you
tell them it's haunted. You know this crazy there's a
crazy bun stain on the carpet that up hears all
the time. Well, you know what's interesting is this has
(42:57):
decent reviews, three point four on Google's now terrible three
point four. Now trip Advisor's four point three out of five.
Well they rise line six point three out of ten.
They know how to work the reviews. I mean, look,
that's all I'm saying is like, there are far worse
reviews for hotels than the Red Roofen and Taylor. This is,
in fact that Red roof in, which is we should
stay there and see what it's like. I think we should, mister.
(43:19):
We'll do a show, We'll do a lot. Let's do
it's a live show. Can we do it live from
the death room? We want it from the death room. Please.
That's all we want here, That's all we're asking for.
I'm like, you know what, it doesn't smell as strongly
of the deceased as I thought it would. No, just
the just the typical air freshened, you know, urine in
the carpet smell Rosalita did a great job. And here.
Speaker 6 (43:41):
Call the Josh Innis Show now at eight seven seven,
nine eighty eight one O six seven one.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
O six point seven w ll Z Detroit Tweels. Here's
a list boomers, a list of things boomers love bragging about,
but gen Z couldn't care less about all right. Number
one on this list is staying at one company for decades.
I would actually have loved that. Like I often wonder this, like,
what is it like to work in the same place
(44:08):
for longer than twenty minutes? What is that like? Because
I don't know how long were you over at ed
Riff eleven twelve years? There's no way in hell I'm
ever gonna work it somewhere for twelve years, No way.
I just it's just not what I'm cut out to do.
It's just not who I am. I'm a rolling stone,
is what I am. You know. But I've worked at
iHeart technically, if I do the math on this, if
(44:29):
you take all the times I've been at iHeart and
I've worked at iHeart slash Cleared Channel A combined four
different times because I worked there actually technically five souh.
My first full time job, I worked at Clear Channel
in Baton Rouge, which became iHeart, and I worked there
for about three years actually, if you take part time,
(44:51):
I worked there from like oh six oh five to
oh nine, so four years. I got laid off. They
brought me back about four months later after that layoff
because I needed someone to do the job, so I
got I came back to iHeart again and worked there
for about two months until I went to Houston. So
if you want to, I'll just count that as one
and not two. No, I'm gonna count because it's more
impressive that way. Yeah, So I worked bounce those numbers.
(45:12):
I worked about four years my first time at iHeart.
I left, went to CBS and I was there for
you know, X number of years in different places. Went
back to iHeart in twenty sixteen. Okay, so that's the
third time technically I was at iHeart and I worked
there for two and a half years. So four years
plus two and a half is six and a half years,
(45:33):
got whacked there. Then after a couple of years of
being out of work and then the Rona, I get
another job at iHeart doing the morning show in Nashville,
where I worked for two years. So that's eight and
a half years. I guess I would have worked at
iHeart then, Okay, and then let's see, then I got
I moved on and went to Saint Louis, from there
(45:53):
to a different company, got fired at that company, and
then ended up back here where I've been for almost
a year. So I guess on and off. I've worked
at iHeart in five different stints, technically four, but five
makes it sound funnier. For nine and a half years.
Just you two just can't quit each other. It is wild.
So I've worked at iHeart for I guess almost ten years.
(46:15):
Maybe I'm do, you know, like a nice little doorstop
or something. Well we talk about them coming up with
the josh, you know, it's a word. I don't think
that's gonna happen. No, But so they're the longest I've
ever worked in one place. If you count Baton Rouge,
I guess we would be Baton Rouge. But I worked
in Houston the first time I was there for four
plus a little over four years, and since then, I've
(46:35):
never worked anywhere longer than Do you know what you're
doing right now? What's that You are annoying the hell
out of the gen Z? Yeah, I am right now. Well, no,
I'm part of the gen Z. Because the gen Z
doesn't care that you stayed at one company for day,
I'm I'm they like me. Oh, I felt like you
were bragging about all these different places you've you've been working. Well,
that's what they like. That's the point. The boomers are
the ones that brag about That's the they brag about
(46:56):
being at one company for decades, and the gen Z
people are like, who cares. I'm about mobility is what
the gen Zers are about. So really, I'm they'd like me.
But I'd love to be in a place for a
long time. But I don't know that I'm cut out
for it. I just don't. I just I think I've
missed my window. There was a guy who worked with
in Saint Louis who's celebrating fifty years at the same
radio station. Wow, Wow, I don't spend I don't know
(47:17):
the last time I spent fifty months at a radio station.
This person has spent fifty years, it's pretty remarkable. Number two,
owning a home as a symbol of success. I don't
view that as a symbol of success. Like, here's the
way I look at it. Like Jilly wants to get
a house. I'm like, Jilly, have eleven dollars. We're not
getting a house. We're going to rent a house. So like, go,
I'd like to have a house. It'd be cool. I'm like,
you know what else was cool? When the dryer breaks,
(47:39):
someone else has to pay for it. That's why, like,
is there really a huge cool thing about owning the house? Yeah?
Because let's say you rented one thousand dollars a month. Yeah,
so that twelve thousand dollars you spent in a year,
it just winning somebody else's pocket. Understood. But that twelve
thousand dollars a month that you spend on a mortgage
that goes into equity in your home. Correct, that's true.
(48:00):
But what if one day you want to get another
house and the market crashes and you end up having
to sell your house for a lot less than you
wanted to and you don't make the money back you
thought you were gonna be there's a risk and everything,
but at least like for sure you just end up
house poor like me. But see, I would prefer to
just rent someone's house and then when things break down,
I call them and go, hey, this is broken, and
then they fix it and pay for it. Let's see
(48:23):
the gold watch career ladder that annoys gen z Ors.
I mean, whatever, if you worked there so long, you
get the gold that beeth the weapon was in like
a gold watch. Yeah, that working long hours is a
badge of honor. I think it's like when people brag
about that, like I'd brag about, like how much I'm
not working. That's what I would want to do. A
(48:44):
pension and define retirement plan. Boy, I had it set.
I had all sorts of retirement by accident. My buddy
set it all up for me. When I worked at CBS,
they gave us stock and I didn't really know what
that meant. So I had all these shares of CBS,
not just CBS radios, CBS doc So I sent it
to my buddy who's a CPA, and I ended up
with like a billion dollars that he turned this into
(49:06):
a lot of money. But I've since had to take
a lot of that out because I'm poor now, but
that was awesome. Like at the time, I'm like twenty five,
I have no idea what any of this means. I'm
just you know, He's like, you have a bunch of
money in your retirement now. I don't. But watching the
evening news every night, Anoise gen Zers and the boomers
like that, the four year college degree is an automatic ticket.
The four year college degree is a waste of time
(49:28):
for the most part. I think it depends on what
you're going to do with your life and voting as
the highest form of civic duty. Like I think voting
is also a waste of time because it's either rigged
or whoever gets in is even if they have the
best of intentions, they will be corrupted in some way
and nothing ever changes. So I voted one time in
a presidential election. I voted one time. I vote every
(49:51):
time now, and that was during the RONA. And I
was just pissed at the world during the RONA because
we're all locked in our houses and I'm like, you
know what, I'm going to vote for Trump. So I
did the one time I've ever voted. I've not voted since,
and I have not voted before then, and I never
will because I don't believe in politicians. I think they're
all scummy for the most part. But in that moment,
I was so pissed at the world, and the main
(50:11):
thing I was pissed about is you have these people
that were almost enjoying making us stay in our houses,
and like the people that supported them annoyed me, Like
these politicians were forcing you to stay inside. And because
these people hated this Trump so much, they celebrated being
trapped in their homes, because you know, getting out of
your house was somehow like showing that you supported this Trump.
So I'm like, no, I will support this guy, because
(50:32):
you people that seem content with staying in your homes
are the worst and I hate you. So I did
vote one time, and that was for Trump, and I've
not voted since, and I never voted before. And my
vote and my vote had nothing to do with anything
other than the Rona pissing me off. The whole situation
on the way the whole thing was handled by the
world pissed me off. As I was trapped in my
house every day, I was just angry at the world,
(50:54):
and you anger through your vote, yep, And I just
don't vote anymore because I think it's pointless because nothing
ever changes. Angry about something else and then you go.
But I was super angry and passionate about that one,
though very rarely does that happen for me, But because
I just don't believe anything's ever gonna change. Not to
be a pessimist at everything, but it won't. Nothing's gonna
change because even the people with the best of intentions
(51:15):
end up being you know, they get in there and
then they become different than you know, what you thought
you were voting, Like this Spencer Pratt in La. He's
gonna get in that office if he wins, and he's
gonna become different because that's how it works. Yeah, but
he's not gonna be a huge USh. Yeah, but he's
not gonna win anyway. So AnyWho, All right, Josh hadna
show and Jimmy almost six point seven detroits wheels, Josh
(51:37):
ni shall you'll have another opportunity to score cash, cold
hard American dollar dollar bills y'all coming up later twenty
five hundred dollars and your next crack at that is
coming up when eleven o'clock a little after eleven o'clock. Actually,
you'll have your next keyword that could score you twenty
five hundred big ones. So make sure you keep We
(52:00):
are not above bribery. We're all about bribery around these parts.
All right, it's the Josh Innes show. Like it or not,
this is the Josh in His show. One of six
point seven w LZ. I will tell you this, James,
what's that I really miss When McDonald's had dollar any
size drink? Oh my god, wasn't that the greatest? It
(52:21):
really was. We were doing, you know, our typical thing
where we talk about, you know, fat things, just talking
about food. The fat guys just talking about food. It's
basically what we do. That's our things. We just were
fat guys that talk about food a lot. Whenever we're
not you know, doing radio stuff. We just sitting here
and talk about food items and other things that we
missed sax candies. Actually this all started because you showed
(52:45):
me what appears to be an AI photo. McDonald's. It's
going to charge you a dollar or drive through surcharge,
which is not real. Obviously not real, but I mean
you could believe it. With the way the world operates now.
But anyway, point being in all of this, well, I
guess we could do what's the name of our bit
fat and that nostalgic fat and nostalgia when the drums.
Speaker 4 (53:06):
Half bad fum go, it's'll make it back tonight.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
Miss the dollar any size drink because now the dude,
you go to McDonald's, now a large drink's like two bucks.
They've doubled the price of a large pop. And I
don't like that. I'm here for that life, man. So
now if you use the app, you can kind of
finagle things, like there's one feature on there where like, hey,
you get if you buy any size drink, you get
a free medium fry with this deal, which I do
(53:52):
a lot. But I miss just going through and knowing
that there was a certainty in life which was a
dollar drink at McDonald's any size. I really miss.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
When I first started using the app, they would have
one dollar ice coffees any size.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
Yeah. See, now you're lipping, get a nice caramel iced
coffee large. Yeah. Go grocery shopping with the kid, you know,
have enough energy to get them down for a n app.
There you go. Now it's and it's not like they
needed to double the price of soda, right, because if
you think about it, what do you think their cost
is in one large one large pop? I can tell you.
(54:25):
So maybe the cup is five ten cents Again, the
squirt of the syrup, you know you're talking pennies, I
would say a dime. So let's say, all told, they're
in about ten cents. Yeah. The only thing you're not
including is like whatever the labor is for your staff.
So and let's even ignoring that. Let's just say straight up,
just based on the cup and the syrup, you're talking
a penny a dime, sorry dime, So you've got to die.
(54:46):
You sell that for a dollar tax makes it like
a dollar nine. You're up like one thousand percent. Yeah,
so why do you need to double the price? And
this obviously if you're up a thousand it's better to
be up two thousand percent, I guess. But I mean,
that was the the best part about McDonald's. And of
course the chicken Selects, which they've decided that nobody wants anymore,
so they bring back a different kind of chicken that's
(55:07):
not as good as the Chicken select. We've had this
discussion before. You can't trick you, but still like, I
feel like, like that's the move to keep it a
dollar a pop. Like I have a buddy that works
in the movie theater. He runs movie theaters, and I'm like,
what is your biggest ROI your return on investment? He
goes popcorn, pop and popcorn, both of them like candy
and stuff whatever, but like soda and popcorn, the two pops,
(55:30):
pop and popcorn. Like, you buy a bucket of popcorn
for twelve bucks, that's like a billion a billion percent
return on investment. It does even cost a dollar to
fifty Oh, it's not even that well I would be
I imagine that whole giant thing of popcorn that they're
you know that they pop it on probably is fifty cents.
So every time somebody buys a large popcorn, they're making
(55:50):
like one billion times what it costs to produce that
thing a popcorn. That's where all the money comes from, right,
So I don't know, man, Like, if you're McDonald's, I
think that's the move. Well, I think it's mart go
back to a dollar, go back to a dollar pop
And he side, especially with me.
Speaker 3 (56:06):
In the time of the year that it is, I'm thirsty,
I want I need a quick beverage, and that would
mcdonald's'll always be my stop. I'd stop in, I'd get
a large pop and then go about my business.
Speaker 2 (56:15):
Yeah. Now I'm like, well, I'm gonna use my app
and I'm gonna go to seven eleven so I get
my pop's counted because every six or seven I get
a free one. Well, and what's gonna happen is if
you go to buy a pop, you're probably gonna buy
a burger. You probably gonta be a frive. Absolutely, just
so it's not just gonna be a dollar. You're gonna
spend ten bucks, fifteen bucks or something like that, and
you can get a pop and a McChicken and I
go about my business. And there you go, and you
weren't gonna get either one of them. Before there was
(56:37):
the option to have the dollar drink. But the dollar
drink got you in the drive through. Then you and
you were getting the drink, You're like, you know, it
sounds good to McChicken, And before you know, you've spent
four or five bucks Donalds when you aren't gonna spend anything.
My kids in the car. I gotta get a happy
meal and I gotta get an ice cream cone, or
I gotta get something else so that he's got a
treat as well. So you're spending at least ten bucks,
ten twelve, thirteen bucks. If you just decide to go
to purchase the one dollar pop, you gotta bring it back.
(57:00):
Like there are some things you just can't bring back,
Like you can't live in a world where there's going
to be sixty nine cent tacos at Taco Belly Moore.
I mean, the genies out of the bottle. You can't
put it back in. It's over. I get that a
dollar pop any size. You could bring back McDonald's and
Chicken Selects. Those are two things you could bring back
and change the game. I have two requests, that's all.
I have dollar pops and the Chicken Selects. But I
(57:23):
dare you bring back the Chicken Selects and see what
people do. People will go nuts for the Chicken Selects.
Nobody wants this new chicken that you have that's in
the snack wrapt because you didn't bring the snack wrap back,
because that's not the real snack wrap. The real snack
wrap has Chicken Selects in the snack rap. The sackrap
I had was pretty darn good though you have poor taste,
you have a you have an untrained palate, You have
an immature palate. Oh dare you in something like your
(57:45):
palate is? Palate is built on fast food snacks and
gas stasia roller grills. So don't tell me my palate
is whatever you said it. All I'm saying is, as
it relates to breaded chicken strips from fast food restaurants,
palate is lacking. I disagree if you think that the
current chicken that they put in the snack wrap is
(58:05):
anywhere close to the Chicken Selects. I never had the
Chicken select so I can't compare the two. Did you
never have the chicken selexy? For a long time? For many,
many years, I was strictly a Taco bell Man. That
was the only fast food I would get. It was
Taco Bell so I and that means you missed out
that on the premium chicken sandwich at McDonald's the best
(58:29):
fast food chicken sandwich ever, better than the Chick fil
a chicken sandwich, better than any fast food chicken sandwich
on the planet. You're right now. My favorite thing on
McDonald's menu is the mcdouble and the McChicken because that's
what I've lived off of, you know, for years. But
if you would have had the premium grilled chicken sandwich
on a honey wheat roll, it was the most delicious
chicken sandwich ever. You know what else you can do
that You can get a MC chicken and then put
(58:51):
some sweet and sour sauce on it and that's the
most delicious McChicken you want. That's it. It was like
four bucks total for everything you get there, Like, well,
how much the McChicken like two two dollars? Like now
I don't know they have two little under two. Yeah. Anyway,
they got rid of the buy one, get one for
a buck. Yeah, like I get it. The world pops please,
it's where this all starts. We want the dollar pops
(59:11):
and the chicken salat these two. These two fat guys
need need cheap pops. And maybe wouldn't it be something
of Taco Bell for like one month, like an anniversary month,
just did sixty nine cent tacos. They'd sell a billion them.
It would make it. They'd make up for it with
all the excitement people would have to go to Taco
Bell because they're big on the stoungs and they'll bring
back like, oh, the Mexican pizza is now there all
the time. But like when they bring back the Mexican pizza,
(59:32):
it was a huge deal. When they would bring back,
you know, something that was on the menu in nineteen
eighty nine and put it in the old packaging, people
eat that up in touredo. Imagine seventy nine cent tacos
one week only we're celebrating our twenty or fifty ninth
birthday or something. I'm on vacation that week. There you
go one hundred percent and they would quadruple their intake
from normal because they're gonna sell ten tacos when they
(59:55):
might have only sold five. Dude, you know what this
was like going to Taco Bell, give me grind it
and just getting a tray of tacos and just coming
back just get a grind a meal, two of us. Yes,
and then we have all Burrito's home. What if they
did like a white Castle type thing and did a
taco case, a taco case and sixty nine cents of pop,
(01:00:16):
you know, for for you know a week or whatever,
and they have the special taco case. I love it.
Ah boy, Yeah, we should have got into marketing fast
food items. That's what fat. I mean. Look, fat guys
are the ones that are good at that I imagine.
All right, but anyway, that is fat and nostalgia.
Speaker 4 (01:00:32):
When the.
Speaker 11 (01:00:35):
Half hit fun, it's Chase Dinners.
Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
Make it back tonight, all right, Josh and show your
next chance to win twenty five hundred dollars American. Come
up just after eleven o'clock with Laura. But right now
we have got blak. We are wheels, a right, we
are the motor City's wheels. It's Josh and James. It's
(01:01:17):
Pride month. Yeah. Hey, so if you're gay, this is
your month. Yeah, enjoy it. Big money for you. I
don't know what all the rules are, but I think
you're allowed to walk around naked. I don't think that's true.
If you're at a parade yard, I don't. I still
don't think that's true. I think Look, I don't know
the laws, all of them. I'm pretty sure you still
need to be closed. But it is Pride month, which
is big for bears like myself, because this is the
(01:01:38):
kind of month that the people who think I'm beautiful,
this is their month. This month, dude, if I ever
wanted to dabble if you're in Demandina, if you do,
you'd clean up, dude, I would clean up so hard
if I were gay, Like, I would be elite level
if I were gay. Now I'm not, but if I were,
Like I know this from experience, Like, but I do
wonder are gay guys just into everybody or do they
(01:02:00):
actually have taste? Because every gay guy I've I've been
friends with, you get a little alcohol in them and
they get super horny for you. And I know if
that's just how gay dudes are, if they just like
have like a a lesser standard for beauty, I mean,
or am I just beautiful? Like this is a question
that I have about myself. You're not legit beautiful, absolutely beautiful? Okay.
But also I feel like gay men probably operate the
(01:02:22):
same way as straight men. The drunk you get, the
later the night goes, the lower your standards. But they
don't even have to be drunk to think I'm hot. Like, no,
not every gay guy I've ever met thinks I'm hot,
But the ones that I've you know, spoken with and
know on a personal everyone that I've thought I was hot,
isn't that wild? I'm just I mean, but it is,
but I would imagine a good percentage of them do oh,
(01:02:42):
I do yeah, And that's what's wild, Like am I
actually beautiful? Or gay guys just do? They have really
crappy taste and dudes, I've gone to the gay bar before.
My wife was like, that guy was just staring at
your ass. I was like, good, absolutely, that's great. Try
to get them to buy me a drink. You should.
You should cash in on that, Like I want to
take a gain or that again, big boy, go give
(01:03:03):
me a mirror. Not the stereotype, but I feel pretty
comfortable that you know, they're not going to kick your
ass when they find out you're just using them for drinks. No,
I think there's something else I do want to do
to my ass. It's it's it rhymes with kick a
dish I don't usually put on the menu. But anyway,
(01:03:23):
all that set, all that set, Like gay guys find
me attractive. So like, I support the gay guys because
it's nice to be told that you're beautiful. I think
that's the greatest compliment you can get as a man.
They get a compliment from a Mask's what I'm asking,
especially if it's a gay man. Well see, And that's
where I debate that. I debate if it's more of
a compliment because they're gay, because I don't know if
gay guys just have lesser standards for beauty or not. Well,
(01:03:45):
even if they did, I don't care. I will take
it as a high compliment, high praise. Like I don't
think George Clooney would look at me and go, that's
a handsome guy, but some gay guy would. And is
it just because gay guys have lower standards? Or am
I legitimately beautiful? Or am I just beautiful through gay glasses?
You know what I'm saying. That's all about. And I
don't mean that to be like insulting or anything. It's
(01:04:07):
a legit question. I don't know if we have any
gay people that listen to the show, any straight guys
listening think Josh is hot? Hey? Let them know, Hey,
send me a text. I want to know. Text the
word Josh and your message to five one eight eight one.
Tell them what you want to do is hog What
do you think would happen if we change? Please do now?
Now I'm really into this. Now, Hey, what would hey?
What would you like to do to my hog pal? Please, Hey,
(01:04:28):
you want to win tickets? You know what you do?
Tell me about my hog rat it. No, but it's
better be a good number. Yeah, the higher the number,
the better, the better the tickets. Yeah, you know I'm
rendous Sounds pestival tickets. Well, then go go on the look. Hey, look,
if you're honest with me, you're probably just going to
(01:04:50):
get like Tom Petty tribute band tickets. But if you
lie to me and make me feel beautiful, somebody's traveling
across the country to see Guns n' Roses.
Speaker 11 (01:04:57):
Whoo.
Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
So I'm just gonna say no. But yeah, I don't know.
I'm intrigued by that, is all. It's just the idea
of whether or not you are beautiful, or if gay
guys have worse standards, because you think they'd have higher standards.
But then again, they also have a slimmer pickings because statistically,
there are far fewer gay men than there are straight people,
so you have a lesser pool to choose from. What
(01:05:22):
would happen if we took the Wheels logo and made
it rainbow and posted it on the Facebook page. I
don't think that would be a great idea. You think
it would go well? I do not think it would
go well. But then what's funny is the same people
that would get angry about that would listen to all
these dudes that were dressed as chicks that you know
we play like Twisted Sister or Motley Crue or dudes
(01:05:42):
who've probably dabbled in some hog like almost every guy
we play from the seventies on this radio station. Like
you think David Bowie didn't dabble, you know that Freddie
Mercury did you know that? I think she did more
than just dabbled. Oh absolutely, I think he dove right
in at first. So it's fine. We can listen to
the rock music of the people that have, you know, dabbled.
But if you say, hey, gay people aren't all that bad,
(01:06:03):
that Facebook page don't blow up. Everybody has a line,
and I think changing the Facebook page is crossing that line.
For some reason. We used to treat it like where
the ball team and just have like a Pride night
on the station. Is it's Pride morning, you know? So
all we're doing is playing Elton John and Freddie Mercury
all day. Those are the ones we know, are you know?
(01:06:24):
And what's his name from Iron Maiden? Yeah, Plaaron Maiden
and we'll just have a big day. Oh, Judas Priest,
Oh sorry, why did I say iron Maid? Judas Priest?
I apologize. I did not mean to accuse or assume anything.
Oh dare you say that about maya iron Maiden? Those
British guys are straight as an arrow. They would never
look at another maiden. It's sexual way, it's iron Maiden.
(01:06:45):
Did you say that? Eddie Mascot Zombie? Mommy god, you
can be homosexual? Hey, I don't know, screaming Scott would
have never made that mistake. You wouldn't know. He never
would have. Why is he screaming? Well, Josh in this
show one of six point seven w.
Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
LZ Detroit Wheels.
Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
How about our friends over at Arbor Longevity there Games.
Those are a great group of people, good folks over there,
Gandhi and everybody. They're wonderful, She's wonderful. They came in
and gave us the full on breakdown of everything they do. So,
if you're somebody that's maybe dealing with some testosterone issues
but you don't know that for a fact yet, but
you're kind of dragging ass, feeling lethargic, you know, maybe
(01:07:23):
you've got testosterone issues, and they can get you test
and get everything figured out, and then before you know it,
they'll optimize yes you're testosterone and get you back at it.
That's what you're gonna do it. You will be, You
will be. Yeah, especially if you talked to him about
the be shot. Oh yes, says you might say, Josh,
what is the pea shot. Well, it's a regenerative treatment
(01:07:45):
that helps support blood flow and function to your hug it.
It also will help with performance and confidence. I mean,
wouldn't you be confidence if if your hog was working again?
I imagine you were having hoggle issues. Yes, hey there
was hoggle issues, but then you get the p shott
and in the hog is back in business. I crank it. Yeah.
Oink oink baby, oink oink baby. Thank you eight c Slater.
(01:08:09):
I appreciate it. These are not the oint oint peas.
They don't care j is wow as. But I'll tell
you one thing. You know what low testosterone is pre
k It really is. But it's also heartbreaking for her
when you deal with that too. It's not just you,
but then she's not satisfied. But then she has to
lie to you and be like It's okay. I'm randy

don't want to speak on behalf of them, and at
least in that guard because I don't know full on
what all it does. It has a positive side effects,
it has some very positive side effects. You you're gonna
be super randy when it's all said and done, baby,
(01:09:14):
you're gonna be super ready to go. I think your
wife's gonna be saying that to you. And you're walking
around just uh sporting a woodie as it were, as
it were, but anyway, uh no, this will actually look
I cannot prove that this is you after getting the
pea shot, but I do not have you before then
(01:09:36):
maybe afterwards you I don't know that for a fact.
I can't make that promise. I will not make that
promise for Arbor Longevity. But see, let's say you're having
