Wulz Detroit one O six point seven Detroit's Wheels and
I Radio Station.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Guaranteed Human. Yeah, it is just what we are. Josh
Innis Show, Josh James this Morning, Welcome in, Got sports
coming up, got a chance to win twenty five hundred
dollars and two hundred dollars and we've got this, We've
got book, actually two hundred and fifty dollars, The Josh
(00:28):
Innis Show Sports. Alrighty, So Game one of the Finals
last night went to the Knicks and they were down big.
They were down I think fourteen in the third quarter,
but rallied to beat the Spurs. I hate both of
these teams. I really hate the Knicks, and I hate
the Knicks celebrity fans, and I hate the idea that
(00:50):
the Knicks are some sort of special organization. The Knicks
haven't won anything in the time that I've been alive
plus like fifteen. They've won anything since the early They've
always been like a big team that everybody always talks
about too, and they don't win anything. They don't win anything.
I remember what Patrick Ewing, yep, that's what I remember
from and they were good then, but they didn't win anything.
(01:12):
Then you know, but so I hate them, And then
I hate the Spurs because I needed the Spurs to
score one hundred points for a bet last night, and
those Dicks ended up with ninety five. Oh, and they
should have cruised. They had like fifty eight points at halftime.
They had a lousy, dreadful second half in a woeful
fourth quarter, and I hate them, and they're stupid town,
and they're stupid little creek that runs through their stupid
(01:34):
town and the Alamo Ozzie should have peed all over
it a thousand times until it wilted away. That's a
lot of pete Man. So that's one nothing in favor
of the Knicks, who were underdogs in that series, which
I didn't understand because I think, I know it's easy
to say now, but I think the Knicks are gonna
(01:55):
win that series. And they were underdogs to win the
series because they got uncursed by in See And that's
the thing.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Else.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I was talking with Jilly last night and she goes, well,
you had to count on the Spurs to score one hundred,
and Dan Housen has lifted the Knicks cursed and he's
cursed everybody that's playing. And then like damn this down,
hasn't Dan Housen, Yes, screwed him. Yeah, he's got you number,
he does. I shouldn't have bet against Basically, I bet
against Dan Housen. Don't do it. So when they were
(02:22):
up fourteen the Spurs were last night, I should have
bet on the Knicks to win. It would have been
good value. Tigers have won three in a row. They
played baseball tomorrow at home against the Mariners. Dave Roberts,
who's the manager of the Dodgers, says that the Dodgers
have the trade capital to make a move for Tarik's Schooble,
which I'm sure they do obviously. We're just sitting back
(02:45):
waiting to see who trades for schoobl when he gets healthy,
and then when they trade him, and what they get
for him, because he's going to be traded. There's no
way they don't trade him. If they don't trade him,
it's negligence at this point. So you should be coming
back sometimes soon, shouldn't he? Yeah? So, But the idea
is the trade deadline is August third, and the idea
(03:05):
is he's going to get moved obviously before then, and
they should trade anybody that has any value that they
don't view as a long term solution. Like I don't
know what they can do with Verlander because Verlander hasn't pitched,
So I don't know if anybody would trade anything for
Verlander or if you just keep him around and hope
he sells some tickets a couple of times, because we
haven't even had a chance to see him do that. Nope,
we haven't even had a chance to see him sell
(03:25):
tickets yet. So I don't think he'd have a ton
of value unless he comes back very soon, which he
did have a rehab outing down in Toledo, and I
think so if that's the case, if he gets out
there and deals a couple of times, maybe he'd have
some sort of value. But he ain't gonna get yell
Lot Schooble's the big piece, and that's going to be
the guy that you trade and set up your future.
(03:47):
So just to count down to win he gets traded,
it's not if it's win, he gets traded, and that
friends is sports. I mentioned earlier that we've got two
hundred and fifty dollars to give away. We will do
that in the nine o'clock hour. We've got twenty five
hundred dollars to give away. That is coming up in
the eight o'clock hour first time today. You'll get a
chance at twenty five hundred bucks. We are not above bribery.
(04:10):
Speaking of lots of money. The people in Birmingham are
not happy today. They're not They're not happy today about
something that's going down in Birmingham. It's going down in Birmingham. Yes,
there's a store opening in Birmingham. The fields are not
happy about headshops in front of a smoke shop. No,
those are all open in Hazel Park by my house.
What about like an adult sex toy shop? That'd be
(04:31):
fun though, But I don't think so, not that they wouldn't,
you will. I feel like they're beneath them. Yeah, the
Birmingham folks wouldn't want that in their neighborhood. But I
bet you're they going shopping there to buy all of this,
all the toys. I wouldn't down for their bucks. I wouldn't.
But we'll get to that story and a whole lot more.
It is the Josh Ennis Show.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Stay there, Josh Inness Show, pleasing on demand on our
free Iyard Radio.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Act one of six point seven WLD Detroit Twheels. You
is Tom Petty, We are Detroit's Wheels. I am Joz,
she is James.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
What is up?
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Apparently there is a Shania Twain biopick in the works.
If you're into such things. I don't know anybody who's
ever been, like, you know, what we really need is
a Shania Twain movie. What is her background story? How
did she come to fame? Well? She you know, I
must know. She grew up in poverty in Canada, Oh Canadian, Yeah,
playing bars at the age of eight. But then she
(05:26):
went to Nashville and then she had her first album
come out, and it wasn't a success, But then she
became a success and became one of the all time
greatest selling artist ever. It's like every story we've ever seen. Ever,
When did she finally begin to feel like a woman?
We gotta find that out. Maybe that's gonna be what
we learned in the biopick here. Okay, maybe the biopick's
(05:46):
gonna teach us that moment she decided that, hey, I
feel like a woman now. And then she's got the
whole backstory with Mutt Lange, of course, who was married.
Can you imagine I imagine Muttlang could have any chicky ones.
Not that Mutt Lane was like in a band, but
Muttlang produced some of the biggest albums of all time.
He produced The The The the Black album for ac DC,
(06:08):
Back in Black for ac DC, I should say, and
he produced He produced Hysteria or Pyromania or both. I
mean he was he was all over the production of
of all the that stuff and Shania Twain and the
guy produced some of the most badass, biggest songs ever okay,
and albums ever. So the guy was a big star
in that way. But I don't know that you like,
(06:29):
go out to bars and you're like, hey, I'm Mutt
Laying and people know who you are. You're not like
Vince Neil or somebody that's the lead singer of a band.
So it's not like someone is I don't know that
the guy who writes the songs and produces the music
goes out and gets laid. But maybe I don't know.
But he was stepping out on old Shania Twain, it was,
and that I think that was when Shania Twain was
like really Shania Twain too, and she was Shanaiah Twain.
(06:52):
We're talking about come on, Over that giant album Come
On Over that had all those hits on it. I
saw Shanaia in concert about ten years ago. She rode
right behind me like on some little apparatus around the arena.
Still hot, still super hot, Shania Twayin And I used
to have it bad for Shania Twain, but she was
like the example of what we found sexy in the nineties,
(07:12):
which was really skinny white women. Like that was the look,
like there was no ass, there was nothing. It was
just super skinny, like boobs, white woman. That's what was
considered hot. Now things have obviously changed and we have
to pretend like people like Lizo or sexy. But back
in the day, he's like, this is what we thought
was hot, and like that's what it was.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I know.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
It was like like Double D's implants were like the
the like the most whiteable, like sable. Like you look back,
You're like, there's nothing hot about sample. Her face is gross.
She looks like just a bus station skank. No ass
over the top morgana the Kissing bandit rack, and you're like,
why did I find this person hot? But in the
(07:53):
nineties it was super Any big boobed white woman was
what was considered hot. I spent a lot of time
alone with Missable there. I'll tell you go watch an
episode of Friends, or don't because it's not really that good.
But turn on an episode of Friends and look at
the people that were the hot chicks. No asses anywhere,
super skinny, like dress pant wearing women of the nineties,
(08:15):
no ass at all. And that's what we found hot.
But Shania Twain was super hot and still is super hot.
But you go back and watch some of the videos
and you're like, oh, she was super skinny, and we
had a different taste in what was hot back in
the nineties. All that to tell you that there's a
Shania Twain biopic that's in development. So if you're into
the backstory of Shania Twain, that will be for you friends,
(08:38):
be ready for that. Josh in his show on six
point seven WLZ one of six point seven the Choice
Wheels Josh and a Show. It is Joshu James this morning.
All right, y'all have a chance to win twenty five
hundred dollars. That's coming up in the eight o'clock hour.
You can win two hundred and fifty dollars in the
nine o'clock hour and what's got the rich folks in
(08:59):
Burma and ham upset? Oh, we're gonna talk about that.
And we got sports coming up, lots to do. This
is Green Day, the Josh Inn Show. Sports O. Alrighty.
So Game one of the NBA Finals went to the
Knicks and come from behind fashion. They are now up
(09:21):
one nothing. If you can do the math on that,
they are up one nothing. I think they're destined to win.
I think Vegas is destined to win that series in hockey,
as they won Game one. I think we talked about
this yesterday. But so Game one of the Stanley Cup Finals.
Early in the game, it was too nothing, Carolina home team,
they're up to nothing. That was the first time in
(09:45):
the history of the NHL of the Stanley Cup that
a road team was down by multiple goals at any
point of a Game one of the Stanley Cup Finals
and still won. Wow. It was they were zero to
fifty five. I think before that. That's a significant number.
It's crazy that the NHL has been around that long
and this is the first time that's happened. I know,
you saw history. I mean, it's it's very specific history,
(10:08):
but it's history. Nonetheless, So that's what you ended up with,
and then I think the Knicks are going to win.
Congratulations to the Knicks though, and winning the NBA Finals
in like the worst era of basketball ever where the
world is uninterested in the NBA. There are no great teams.
So it's not like you went out there and beat
prime Lebron or Prime Jordan or any of these guys.
(10:29):
You went out there and you beat whoever you've beaten.
You beat prime Jalen Duran. Congratulations, and you don't even
have to play them. So I thinket to struggling by
the Knickerbockers again. Maybe so. Speaking of Jalen Durno, was
reading a story about how he still wants like two
hundred something million dollars despite the fact he was on
a milk carton in the playoff if you watch his
(10:49):
play in the playoffs. Well, the thing is he's also
entitled to a max deal because he was an All
NBA player, and that makes you entitled to that at least,
like you can max out at that amount of money
because you were an All NBA player. So congrats on
your great regular season, Jalen Duran. You are a total
no show in the playoffs, and now you're gonna get
super rich for being a guy that scores like six
(11:10):
points a game in the postseason and can't rebound the ball.
So Wolf, But yeah, I'll have to tell you that
I don't like the Knicks, and the Knicks are probably
going to win the whole thing, and I hate them
all right. Also, no baseball tonight. But the Tigers have
won three games in a row. Now they're only like
thirteen games under five hundred. So take that world. We're
(11:32):
climbing out of the cellar world at a time. Now,
if we can just get scoobl back, he can pitch
well well enough to get a big haul and rebuild
the team that way. Can we get to that place?
Can we? Can we?
Speaker 4 (11:45):
And that?
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Friends? Is sports coming up? What's going on? That's got
the locals in Birmingham upset? Oh they're mad. The elites
are angry. What can it be mad about? They have
all the luxuries? Alay, something about the un washed mask.
We will get into that, but right now it is Ozzy.
We live in to gather.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
All right.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Let's see here. So, as you know, Birmingham is a
very elite place. Yeah, I falutant, so among the elites
of the elites. Yes, it's the kind of place that
Mojo would go, so you know it's fancy. Yes, you
know where Mojo would never be caught dead. Hazel Park.
Hazel Park, there's not a chance. I bet, I bet
(12:31):
Mojo doesn't even know where Hazel Park is, that is
my guess. But it's like somewhere self, right, Yeah, where
where is that? I had Tony, Tony had to drop
me off once in hazel Park. He had no clue
where it was. He's like, where the hell's hazel Park? Well,
because Tony lives out in the like nowhere lands with
the cows and the goats his arm. But out in
(12:54):
hazel Park this isn't an issue. But over in Birmingham
it is an issue because what they want to do
is put in a discount store discount in the high
fallutin area of bo a TJ Max. No, no, not
a TJ Max. And that's the funny thing is all
those rich people out in Birmingham, you know where they
love to shop TJ Max and Ross and Home Goods
(13:15):
and Marshalls and all that stuff. But oh no, they
can't put in this store. Let's do this news story
about the discount store coming to town? Is it? Boss
Dave Kinchen his life tonight in Birmingham to tell us
why Dave Rick, good evening to you.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
It's a hot, hot debate here in Birmingham. This is
the building right here. It used to be a CBS.
You've seen it probably driving up and down Woodward. Well,
the storefront is empty right now. So there is a
move to make this a dollar tree, but not everybody
likes the idea.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
We'll go to some video here with a hot, hot,
hot issue. Well, ifverybody has got an issue with dollars
twenty five items for sale, we got a hot issue
in Birmingham. We cannot have the dollar tree. Guys. Don't
you get any ideas that we're gonna have a dollar
tree on the streets of Burman a dollar tree, not
in my backyard, Not gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
Name city meeting that took this issue up more on
the design side here, So here's the deal. We know
that this would be the first dollar tree location in Birmingham,
and city hall sources say this is really less of
an issue as far as zoning and more of a
matter of design.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
This is less of a zoning issue and more of
a minorities in our neighborhood issue. We don't want the
poor people shopping at a dollar Tree in our neighborhood.
What we're trying to tell you is we do not
want any persons of color, nor anyone who makes under
seven figures to be in our neighborhood. The zoning's fine,
it's more of an issue of whether or not we
(14:46):
want people that don't look like us. Small the client
tele you'll bring into our neighborhood. Wink wink. Yes.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
As we mentioned, a city design committee looked at window designs.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
They talked about how the windows should be set up.
They're really reaching here. They're trying their damn just to
make it seem like it's not just ay, we don't
want the riff rafted it goes to the dollar store
the windows And by the way, it's not a Dollar General,
it's a dollar tree, right like the dollar Tree is somewhere.
I think it's a mid level Do we consider it
the dollar tree the mid level dollar stores? Because Dollar
(15:20):
generals are all like out in Hooterville like that. If
you if you see a Dollar General, you're in a
very small dollar general out it's not like the goods
are cheaper, but it's like one dollar, three dollars, six dollars. Yeah.
Now the dollar Tree, every item in there is like
a buck or a buck fifty whatever. They raise the
price to you with inflation. Now what's the other one.
There's dollar tree, dollar General, there's a there's a couple
(15:41):
family dollars, another one like the dollar General. I think
we have the family dollar in Hazel Park. So that's ours,
is the family dollar. And look, there is riff raft
that hangs around there. But fun fact, riff raft hangs
around everywhere in hazel Park. They should just change the
name of the town to riff raffington Fieldville. It's just
all to see that inside welcome or Hazel Park the
(16:05):
home of riff raff and narcam and not the dollar
tree coming in.
Speaker 4 (16:09):
Now. Some we talked with say they don't care if
a dollar tree goes into the neighborhood. But others, including
a group behind a change dot org alos dot org.
Speaker 5 (16:20):
Change dot organst for something like this, rich people change
dot orgust a poor guy who got hit by a
car and needs a new brain, not for but a
discount story or in your neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Well, when you have a lot of money, these are
the things that you need to change dot org for
oh my god petition.
Speaker 4 (16:37):
They oppose it, saying a dollar Tree doesn't fit the
city's upscale, walkable, family friendly vibe and even could invite crime.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Oh boy, here comes, let's see who they talk. It's
more walkable than going to the dollar Tree and getting
a couple of cheap helium balloons and walking home with
your kid. Yeah, because I don't feel like they'll higher
riffraff there, Like I feel like you'd have to hire
based on the thing, so like in my and they
would just hire a bunch of like teenage kids or
something to work at the Birmingham Dollars what I would imagine,
(17:05):
I would think, But I mean, who knows dollar Tree.
We really would like.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
A small hometown coffee shop things like that.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
There's so many people that walk in the neighborhood and
that that would draw the neighbors together to like get together.
And you don't have a coffee or so had to sick.
Things like that. I think that would be a better fit.
That would be the biggest coffee shop ever in an
old CVS spy. They just look a coffee shop. We
all get together and we talk about things like how
our husbands are cheating on us with their assistance, and
(17:37):
how we're taking the kids to soccer practice on Saturday
and we're to get a great Brazilian and how many
Stanley's I have. Yeah, it's a very we have very
good deep conversation, hung pool boy, recommendations for when the
husband's off with his mistress, just that kind of stuff,
like we could do that at the local coffee shop,
because local coffee shops are very successful. They make a
(17:58):
lot of money. That's why they open a oh so often.
I don't know if you saw this with the graphics,
said Mojo of Mojo in the Morning. Oh that was
actually Mojo that you're disturbed the coffee shops. He's gott
amuch of different voice when he's on the radio. It's weird. Yeah,
he uses fects when he's on the rail. I don't
think I have a problem with it. I really don't.
(18:18):
I mean a lot of people go to the dollar store.
I go to the dollar store in the Southfield Road.
So I really want to be a problem. That's just me.
That's your dollar store, that's my dollar store. I shock
with the same place as a rich person does. Look
at you, you've made it. And I don't live in
the rich town. No, it's the middle class one. They
slum it in your town to go find disc yes, now,
but now the problem is they don't have to slum
(18:38):
it in your town. Now they can do it in
their own town. But they don't want to be seen
at the dollars at the dollar tree. Look the shame,
the shame of having a dollar tree in your in
your little Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (18:47):
Are you using a dollar tree specula and flipping Hamburger
on the grill?
Speaker 2 (18:51):
And like, like the thing about Birmingham is it's the
kind of town where like you just assume that the
people hunt lesser people for sports. Yes, it's like that
we can getaways. Yeah, So what they're gonna do is
they're just gonna go recruit at the dollar tree and
find people to hunt for sport.
Speaker 6 (19:07):
They can go to the Dodger and they can buy
cheap knives, cheap kitchen knives. They might be able to
fight back. Don't allow it. I brings it makes it
town less walkable.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
I keep bringing up Mojo because one of Mojo's favorite
things to bitch about is that he was promised valet
parking when they moved to this building, Like, Mojo, did
you really think that there'd be a valet parking system
at a radio station? Really did you think that? Like,
I don't think Mojo lives on like planet Earth, Like, hey,
(19:41):
we don't have money to buy stickers, We have nothing,
we can't buy stickers, But you think there's gonna be
a valet parking correct? But I think Mojo is that
level of wealthy that like the real world is not
like he doesn't live there, like he doesn't live on
planet Earth. I think is the thing about you're saying
is he only shops at five below. He doesn't shop
(20:02):
at the dollars correct. Oh yeah, like that's as low
as he'll go as five below. Neo always hangs out
in the five and up section of the store. Ferndale's
over here, like we'll take it. Yeah, yeah, we want it.
Yeah read it in this house. We believe the shoppers,
rich and poor. Well a six point seven Detroit's wheels
(20:24):
bring me to life. That is in essence, he said.
We got a tweet from just a tweet. Yeah, we
believe it. Somebody actually is engaging us in social media.
Why why?
Speaker 4 (20:37):
What?
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Yeah? Somebody the howell O two five says I grew
up in Hazel Park. You're cracking me up. We are
between Madison Heights and Ferndale in Birmingham crying about a
dollar store. Tell them shut the f up. They all
shop at our discount stores. They're for us poor people,
as they claim. Exactly said, he stops see the people
around the Uh the the dollar's not the dollar tree.
(20:59):
It's so it's family dollar. We have a family dollar
in Hazel Park. Baby. Now, look, and I make fun
of Hazel Park a lot. But there's a nice little
coffee shop. There's a couple of little nice coffee shops
maybe on our maybe coffee shop that's the envy of
the Birmingham folks. Maybe so it's coffee and bark. So
you can bring your dog into the coffee shop over there.
So that's a nice little coffee shop that we take
ross too. His pictures on the walls? Is he really
(21:20):
he's one of the dogs that's got his little polaroid
there on the wall. How about that? I like seeing
more establishments that are dog friendly, and it's set up
where like half of the store is dog friendly. So
there's like a little room, like a decent sized room,
where there's a door that separates the coffee shop for
people that don't want to be around dogs, and then
there's the room for the people who are the most
wonderful people in the world that liked dog and want
(21:41):
to drink their coffee around puppies have a good time.
So I bust balls on Hazel Park because I mean,
it's largely dumb, but we do have some decent things there.
It's not all just broken glass and used vapes on
the ground. It is mostly broken glass and used vapes
on the ground, but it is not entirely that it's good.
There's also marijuana stores. Oh yeah, buy the boat loads.
(22:05):
There's so much marijuana there. Wait till Birmingham has one
of those going up. Oh now that's gonna be imparted.
Put it right next to the dollar trip. Man, buy
my weed in my own neighborhood. I have to go
to the poor people live to buy my weed. I
have to be I have to do it in shame.
But anyway, so thank you for the tweets, sir or
(22:27):
ma'am or whoever. Yeah, Detroit's wheels will have your opportunity
to score twenty five hundred dollars in just a few
minutes and two hundred and fifty bucks in the nine
o'clock hour. So stay right where you are, please.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
GOULLC Detroit one six point seven.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Detroit's Wheels and Art radio station guaranteed human well those
next point seven Detroits Wheels. Josh in the show, Glad
you guys are hanging out out with us today. Some
guy on Facebook is pissed you said. He's mad about
he doesn't listen to the show anymore because of what?
(23:08):
Because you were okay with drag queens reading books. To
be more specific, drag queens reading books to kids at
a school. You left on one part of it. I
don't think drag queens should be allowed to read. Don't
read at all, don't read anyone, don't read to yourselves,
don't listen to a book on tape. You have no
rights to read. Very upset with your opinion on drag
(23:28):
queen literacy. Yeah, so this person was upset because there
was a story we did yesterday about drag queens. I
guess it was in Madison Heights. It's fitting that Casey
wasn't here yesterday, and then there was a big story
about drag queens and Madison Heights, but that's where he lives.
But anyway, if you want to go looking for him,
he's the one that's dressed as a woman walking around
(23:48):
over at the park Madison Heights asking if he can
read green eggs and ham for your children. I enjoy
people like that because I can tell you where that
guy leans politically, and he's just as soft as any
of the other people. He probably calls a snowflake, because
anybody who's addicted to politics is a pussy. Let's be fair,
they're all soft. I don't care if you voted for
Trump or if you have brass balls that dangle from
(24:10):
your pickup truck, and I don't care if you live
in Ferndale and your little science says in this house,
we believe you're all chumps. You're all political chumps, and
that is fine. If you want to, you know, believe
what these people are selling you, then believe what you
want to believe. And I'm not going to change your mind.
That said, also, he thinks everything that we do is
a rant. Everything we do is a rant. Everything we
do is play freaking music. We played four hundred songs
(24:32):
a morning. I can rant about that if you like
this guy, but no, we need to play more music
obviously for that guy. That guy would love case Maybe
that's Casey's burner. But my point being in all of
this is just to be fair. Right. This guy says
that that in Madison Heights we should not have the
drag queens reading to the children. Okay, fine, I can
(24:55):
entertain that, and I would debate you on that, and
then the pros and the cons and whatever. Okay, that said,
what is more of a danger to your children or
what is worse for your children to hear some dude
in address reading some book or the old horn dogs
that we play on this radio station that sing songs
about trolling outside the high school looking for underage girls.
(25:15):
Oh what's more dangerous? What's more of a threat the
guy in a dress reading to your kid or Jene
Simmons looking for Christine sixteen? Oh boy, That's what I
love about the people that listen to classic rock but
are also indignant and angry and are yelling at clouds
about how this is terrible for the children. Literally every
(25:36):
classic rock song ever is about boning and doing drugs,
but I'm sure you're in your car in the morning,
like she's only seventeen seven. Hey, hey, hey Colton. Daddy
says she's too young, but she's all enough for me.
Am I right? All right? Enjoy your coke drinking out
of your mom's standing. So lose me. Lose me on
(26:00):
the stuff that defing you. Lose me on the stuff like,
oh my god, our children are being warmed. You listen
to Twisted Sister, they wear dresses and makeup. You listen
to Poison. They're basically women. So don't come to me.
You can lose me with being offended for woods bird,
for the children. Please spare me. Your kid's watching porn. There,
(26:24):
he ain't watching Bluey. He's watching Blowy. That's what's happening. Okay,
somebody's getting blueied. They're not watching Bluey. You've ruined your
kids anyway, So don't come to me and tell me that,
oh my god, this guy's terrible and I'm never listening
because he doesn't care about drag queens. When like nine
out of ten classic rock songs drugs sex many times
(26:47):
with underage girls, lose me, please and thank you and yes,
I guess you could consider that a bit of a rant.
And I'm sorry that I stopped down the music to
do that. And I will get back to your regularly
scheduled music. I'll play that for you. Now. Here's your Bush,
Everything's in, Everything's fine, good news, A song that you
(27:10):
can hear anywhere in the world. You've got it right here.
Detroit's Wheels, I hope you're happy. What's the guy's named, Jim? Jim,
I hope you're happy, Jim Metallica, all right, Detroit's Wheels,
Josh in a show. It ends so abruptly. It's funny
because we were talking about that guy a little while
(27:31):
ago that was bitching about talking about the the the people,
the the the dragon queens. Yeah, that guy, And that's
one of those people. And you know how people operate
like they love political conversation as long as they agree
with the political conversation. That's how these people operate, right.
But it's just funny because that guy obviously thinks I'm
some sort of like Ferndale residing in this house. We
(27:53):
have believe sign having person, right, But it's funny because
I don't know that people know what I am, because
I don't I know what I am when it comes
to politics. Guy, I just look at things and I
view them as I view them, and I don't really
put my label on myself. But there was a time
that I was trying to get a job at iHeart
after I had been in sports, I'd gotten fired, the
Rona happened and everything, and I was trying to get
(28:14):
a job in Nashville. And I eventually got the job,
and a guy that was asked about me, someone who
worked for iHeart, told the people that were considering hiring me.
He said, yeah, he's fine, but he's a right wing lunatic. Oh,
like am I? Yes, I'm the right wing lunatic that
doesn't care if the drag queen reads to your kids. Yes.
(28:35):
I feel like if you're the guy that's like, hey,
I don't care if drag queens read to your kids,
I think that automatically absolves you, or like eliminates you
from right wing lunatic status. But see, Casey also thinks
like I think Casey when I talk with him, Like,
the only time Casey ever gets worked up about something
we talk about on air, honestly is when I make
fun of the people with the signs in Ferndale, Like
(28:57):
he gets all weird about that, and he's like, well, oh,
you know you're making fun of those people and so
they know where you stand politically. Oh, sure, yeah they do.
I'm clearly, you know the guy that says, hey, go
have the drag queens read to the kids. I'm clearly
you know the opposite. It just it makes no sense, right,
but what And I'll just be honest with you. If
you guys want to get in, I'd love to hear from.
You can call eight seven seven nine eight eight one
(29:19):
oh six seven, or you can text if that's easier,
text the word Josh and your message to five one
eight eight one. It's like, you look for stuff to
talk about, and you get these people that are management
people and in between telling you that hey, we need
you to play X number of songs or whatever, and
it's their sandbox. That's fine, but that's part of their job.
And you're like, all right, I'll play X number of
songs whatever. We'm gona do everything I can to get
that in. Also have conversations that get reaction from people. Okay,
(29:42):
let me try to have conversations and get reaction from people.
But have conversations and get reactions from people to don't
piss anybody off. Nice And it's like, so, what exactly
do you want me to do? You know, back when
I did sports, I knew what to do. If I
was doing a talk show, I would know what to do.
There are days that I'm like, all right, so I
talked about the drag queens over in Madison Heights. Yeah,
(30:02):
that's a little dicey because you're going to piss off
the construction worker types like Jim that are offended by
the idea of a dude in address reading to your kids,
but they have no problem with a dude in address singing.
We're not gonna take it. You know. It's a tough
it's a tough but the political landscape of the world
is done. I try not to go on deep political
(30:23):
risk because I don't have deep political thoughts because I'm
not a deep political person. I look at stories and
I give you my thoughts on them. Now, here's a
question that I have for the audience that's listening. You
can call or you can text text the word Josh
in your message to five one eight eight one. When
you listen to me, and I want complete honesty from
you here when you listen to me, what do you
(30:46):
think I am? Or who do you think I am?
I don't like to use the word politically, but like
when you hear me on the radio, what do you
think my beliefs? What are your what are some listeners
assumptions about you? Correct? Like when you listen to me.
I'm asking the listeners now because I want to know
what you think. Because Jim, the person that message does
and things, obviously thinks I'm I'm one way politically because
(31:08):
I don't care if the drag queens read to the
kids and he's never listening again. Because I go on
political rants. Of course, I've also gone on many political
rants quote unquote that I guarantee you this guy Jim
would agree with, because I am not a person that
believes in putting myself in one group where you have
to feel the same way as every group. And I
think that are the same group. And I think that's
most people. Most people have a thought on this subject
(31:31):
and a thought on this subject, and they exist in
their own little lane. Whereas there are people like Jim
who I guess probably fit very much into a category.
And those are people who wear red hats and have
balls dangling from the back of their trucks. That would
be my guess about somebody like Jim. But what I'd
like to know when you listen to this show, because
I think that Casey thinks that the audience thinks I'm
(31:51):
one way for being honest, We're having a full on conversation.
Casey thinks the audience thinks that I'm like some like
right wing zealot in some way right now, that guy
Jim must think I'm some sort of like in this
house we believe Ferndale Rainbow crosswalks. Guy. Okay, So all
I want to know is when you listen, what do
(32:14):
you think I am? Or how do you How would
you label me? Label me? That's all I'm asking you
to do. Text the word Josh in your message to
five one eight eight one. This is what I want
to know from you when you listen to me on
a daily basis. How would you label me? This is interesting,
It's kind of like it's a focus group type of
thing here. I'd like to know. Text the word Josh
and your message. What are your thoughts of me when
(32:36):
we talk about stories that aren't like you know, Goofy
stories or whatever. When we talk about like the Ferndale
drag Queen at the start of the Madison Heights drag
queen at the school, or we talk about something that
could be considered social or political, which I tried. We
don't go deep. We laugh at things very regrely. Are
we doing a serious discussion about anything? But when you
(32:57):
hear that, what are your thoughts? That's what I want
to know. I need your help on this. Text the
word Josh in your message to five one eight eight one.
That's what I'm looking for this morning. Text the word
Josh in your message to five one eight eight one.
You hear this, what do you think I am? How
would you label me? How would you define me? When
you hear these things, I'm genuinely curious because it's wild
that I get. You know, Casey thinks I'm one way.
(33:17):
Jim over here on the Facebook thinks I'm another way.
Maybe that's a good thing, you know. I have free
thoughts on various subjects that don't fall in line with
a group thing. Maybe that's good. I don't know. All right,
So Josh in a show, you got twenty five hundred
bucks come in your way? And when's the next time
eleven I think eleven o'clock is the next time you're
going to score twenty five hundred bucks. Two hundred and
fifty dollars come in your way in the nine o'clock hour.
(33:38):
Stay there. It's a Josh in his show on Winter

Speaker 4 (33:44):

pitcher is the raining Cy Young Award winner? I don't know?
Thanks for playing. You got to still the real brainbuster here,
don't we. I think the point of this is supposed
(36:00):
to be for easy quick like what is your name? Oh,
truck again, I've got two hundred and fifty dollars and
all you have to do is let me know who
is the reigning Cy Young Award winner? Detroit's wheels? Hello, Hi, Hi,
who's this darling?
Speaker 3 (36:22):
How are you good?
Speaker 2 (36:24):
How are you darling?
Speaker 3 (36:26):
I'm doing well?
Speaker 2 (36:28):
Do you know which Tiger's pitcher is the raining Cy
Young Award winner? No? Thanks for playing. NBC is gonna
be like, we're out. Ye Like Troy does their own
baseball team. NBC is like, no, well we're out, studay
that baseball is dead in Detroit. We're done. This is over.
(36:50):
They don't even know the name on the court raining
Thy Young Winner that plays on the team. I'm trying
to figure out what it is about the question that's difficult.
Is it the Cy Young Heart that people don't know
or the word raining? I don't know? Hmm, okay, well
let's try another one. I like, alrighty do you know
(37:16):
the answer to the question, which Tiger's picture is the
raining Cy Young Award Winner? I'm gonna say Danny McClain. Eh, wow,
we had a real brain buster. We got a real
brain buster here. I'm out. No, I'm out by myself.
(37:37):
I'm out. I can't I'm not trained on that board.
I don't know how to use the switch blade. I
can't do this. I'm not ready a certified I know
that I can do this anymore. Somebody please call and
give us a correct answer. Google Goog Who is this, Hey, Steve,
do you know which Tiger's picture is the raining Cy
(37:57):
Young Award Winner? It's a tough one. I'm gonna go
with Terry Scruble. Thank you for the love of press.
Thank you, dude. I think it's talk you say, Karn Scruble, Congratulations,
you just won two hundred and fifty dollars to get
your game on with Sunday Night Baseball on NBC This Sunday,
(38:18):
don't miss the San Francisco Giants visit Wrigley Field and
the Chicago Cobbs. It all begins Sunday at eight only
on NBC wv W. You know what now on now
I'm ruined. It all begins Sunday at eight only on NBC,
WDV Local four and streaming on Peacock. Congratulations, you want
(38:39):
two hundred and fifty bucks, buddy, awesome, Thank you, you bet.
I'll put you on hold. And literally all you needed
to know is who the best pitcher in baseball is two?
Cy Young's in a row. He plays in your own town.
He's in the news every day. Look, this is a
great sports town. Casey said, that's why he makes me
do I mean, I question this. I'm just gonna be
(39:07):
real with you. I question that. He's like, that's why
you gotta do sports eight times a morning. The people
love sports. Well, we're big on being sports fanatics, not
big on sports trivia. It's the best picture in baseball.
That's a trivia question. I don't know the answer. My
man brought up Dinny mcclan. He's dead, he was he
just jokings, he trolling us. I don't know. I think
(39:27):
it's dead. If Dinny McClain's not dead, I didn't mean
to kill Denny mcclan. I'm sorry. So maybe maybe the
trick was the raining part. I really what we gotta
tell NBC when they write these questions to not include
words like raining, like, hey, who's a good picture for
the tigers? Who's the best pick picture on the Tigers? Well,
I guess that's a matter of opinion. Yeah, and he's
(39:48):
not playing right now, that's true. I there you go.
It's the Josh in the.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Show the Josh in his show one oh six boy seven.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
W l zwels.
Speaker 6 (40:00):
Ah.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Right. That is bullets with butterfly wings. Smashing pumpkins Today
is a significant day in medical and maybe murder sort
of history. Is a two day. Yeah, now you've ever
known that? Well, on this day in nineteen ninety smashing pumpkins,
Jack Klevorkian assisted that lady in committing suicide for the
(40:23):
first time right here in Detroit. Yeah, you didn't realize
Covorkan was a I did, guys. I didn't realize that.
I mean, everybody focuses on you know, like Aretha Franklin
and Motown and everything. Is there a museum for doctor Kavorkian. No,
there's a band that kind of named themselves after it.
They started out as Jack of Orkin in the suicide
Machines that are shortened to just the suicide. We're like
(40:44):
we're not going to give Jack Cavorkian his run his
just due. But he, before it was all said and done,
assisted in the deaths of one hundred and thirty people.
Oh he was in involved. He was prolific, is what
he was. So but yeah, so that was on this
day back in nineteen ninety. The first time started quite
(41:04):
the controversy. Yeah, he was. The lady that he helped
or assisted in her death was a woman named Janet Adkins.
She was fifty four, had Alzheimer's. So, like, I don't know,
if someone says they want to die and somebody wants
to help them out with it, is it weird that
I don't care? Like, is it doesn't really impact my life?
And I'm kind of like, okay, Like I mean if
(41:26):
that's if, like, if you want to do that and
you'd rather do it that way than have somebody be
like or go into a room and hang yourself or something,
and you would prefer to do it this way, I mean,
you'd be basically being euthanized like a dog at that point. Like,
I don't know, but he wasn't just doing to anybody
who just wanted to die. He was doing it to
(41:46):
like terminally ill people. Well, that's what I'm saying. Well,
I think that was part of it. My point is
if you're like, if you have Alzheimer's and you don't
want to live anymore, I'm gonna say, like, if somebody
wants to die, let's try to, you know, change their outlook.
But if you feel like there's no other way to go, Bill,
you know, the doctor's like, you got you know, a
month to live. Now, you know you're in pain. Let
me see there's someone calling. What do you think they want? Tickets? Yeah,
(42:09):
Detroit's Whales.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
Hello, Hey, Josh, Darryl Heydarn Yeah, Josh, and James is
going on y'all. So I do want to follow up
with your questions because I've been trying to reach out
to you guys. You two guys, and this is for you. James.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
Y'all are realists, That's true.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
And the only reason why I say that is because
when you give an honest opinion about what you like
and what you don't like, people tend to avoid the situation.
So when you gotta do what you gotta do, just
continue keeping it real because it gets you a lot further.
And you see who's on your side, and you see
who's not on your side. So keep being a realist.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Well we keep it real Is this coming from the
discussion about the drag queens reading the kids? I think so,
I would imagine where that's coming from.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
Well, yeah, that and just in general, because in the
world that we're living in, a lot of people don't
like honesty, and honesty is the best policy. But when
you gotta be honest about certain things, it's like unmasking
the ugly truth. So you guys, just keep doing what
you're doing, being realist, and you're gonna get a lot
(43:21):
of people that's gonna avoid you, guys, and you're gonna
get people like me that's gonna love you guys.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
Well, thank you, buddy, We love you too. Dale. Thank
you appreciate what of what Dale's doing in school years over?
I guess I could have asked, I guess, well, we'll
have to find that out to continued done done there,
all right, Josh han shows just too realist. Josh and
James Tom Petty to keep it one hundred Petty that
(43:48):
is refugee. We got Detroit swinols. I am joy is
James about to get out of here? Laura's coming up next,
she's gonna have some more rock and roll for you.
I would imagine that's what she's got going on today,
rock and roll in OHIOAI, little rock and roll, Hoochie coop,
what she's got coming up for you? So she'll play
some rock and then what is today? Thursday? It's almost
(44:10):
the weekend. That's good, almost the weekend, so get ready
for that. I thought it was Friday, but then I
realized it wasn't, and I was sad. Almost there, all right,
So anyway, we're getting out of here. Laura is up next.
