Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Josh in his show sports. Alrighty, good morning friends.
Hello Josh and James. Hi James, Hello, good morning. That's up.
What's up? Everything good? Yeah, it's good, good good. God
can play some my end.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Well, then you're not the Pistons or their fan base
today as.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
They have flight complaints. They lose in overtime. Oh no,
the show I watched after the second half, one seventeen
one thirteen was the final score. There was another controversy
about a call that could have been made at the
end of the game that could have gotten the Pistons
to the free throw line with about a second to go.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Refs didn't call it. Game goes to overtime. Pistons losing overtime,
mean it doesn't matter. All these people are gonna do
a bitch about the refs anyway. Uh, they blew a
nine point lead with two and a half minutes to go,
They're up nine with two and a half minutes to go,
and find a way to lose the game.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
So they're up like nine or two for majority of
the game then, I mean, at least in the first half.
I mean it was pretty consistent.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I mean they would they would be kind of up
and down down, but for the most part they were
in control of the game.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
And then with two I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
It goes into the fourth quarter, game ends up tied
at one point. The Cavs made their little run at
one point in the third quarter, gets to the fourth
early on, Cavaliers aren't.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Really hitting shots.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
It's tied, and they only had I want to say,
ten points as a team with two and a half
minutes or so to go or three minutes to go,
whatever it was in the fourth quarter, So I mean
they had held them down. And then a nine to
zero run closes things out, ties it up, goes to overtime,
and that is where the Pistons end up losing. So
now they are down three games to two and they

(01:48):
have to go to Cleveland tomorrow to try to stave
off elimination and fight another day to get it back
here to LCA for Game seven winner. Yeah, so gotta
win tomorrow. The Tigers have not been doing a lot
of winning. They lost again last night. That was an overtime,
an overtime loss for them, and I say overtime, it's

(02:10):
an extra innings loss. I'm gonna say that considered extra Yeah,
but they're both I mean, they're both an overtime to
what you're saying, they're both in overtime. Get it, so
an overtime loss for the Pistons and an extra innings
loss for the Tigers. So as it stands out, here's
what's funny. Though, they're like five games under five hundred.
You yet they're like two games out of the playoffs

(02:30):
because the division stinks and the American League stinks. So
have you just kind of hold your ground a little
bit and see if guys get healthy and that helps
you turn things around? Then who knows what could happen
because the American like really baseball in general just blows.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Like nobody's good.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
So everybody's still other than the Dodgers, like the Dodgers
and the Yankees, but really the Dodgers are the team
that everybody would expect to stay good. You know, you
start to look around baseball and you're like, it's a
sad world when you can be I don't know. The
Houston Astros are ten games under five hundred and at
no point have played good baseball.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
They've allowed forty three more.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Runs than they've scored, and they're only four and a
half games out of a playoff spot.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Oh wow, like that's where anybody's games do.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Yep, so and that friends is sports. Coming up, you
will have an opportunity to win Motley Crue tickets at
nine to twenty five. You will have one thousand dollars
opportunity coming up just after nine oclock. It is the
Josh Innes Show. Like it or not, This is the
Josh ni Show.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
One of six point seven WLZ Detroit Wheels.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Detroit's Wheels.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
So maybe the reason why the Pistons lost last night
is because the mustachioed bandit wasn't there.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I saw.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Yeah, Yeah, he's dealing with a little.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Issue, so almost president.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, you lose the guy with the stash. You'd been
knocking down threes the whole damn series. Maybe that's why
they lost. You know, you can't just lose that kind
of mustache. It messes with the aerodynamics of the squad.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
It's a whole thing. It's like a wind resistance thing.
Gotta have the stash man exactly, And so that's what's screwdle.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, you don't just go through all that effort to
grow that mustache on Duncan Robinson only to see him
not play I mean, of course you're gonna lose when
that happens that way.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
I mean, that's sever underestimate a man with a mustache.
It's year's official hair growth there. Yes, being wasted totally.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
So get healthy soon and just keep that stash full,
keep it full, and we'll be ready to see you
again whenever you're back, hopefully next game.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Almost precedent. That's what it comes down to. Need more mustache,
all right?

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Anyway, just after nine o'clock, your first shout of one
thousand bucks, one of six point seven Detroit's wheels. Josh
and his show. What's going on? It's Josh and James.
Today we will hear from some of the people who
saw that doub on River black bear. Oh my witness
accounts of some eyewitness accounts from the jolly folks of

(05:06):
Flat Rock. Okay, we'll hear from some of those folks
here coming up in a little bit as they they
lived the bear experience, which was a big story obviously.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
For their lives. I don't even know that they fear
for their lives. I think they like the bear. So
we're gonna get into all that and be the new mayor.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah, probably so well, What's funny is I saw a
news story and like, in front of the news story,
the guy that was doing the shot was standing in
front of a bear statue there, so they obviously like
bears there.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
But it's town, USA. Anyway. We'll do that here in
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
But speaking of black bears, this is black, just not
about bears. So I really had nothing to do with
anything except the word black.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
So there you go. We call it coordinating. There you go.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
It's Pearl jam.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Well six point seven Detroit Wheels, Josh Innis show Josh
and James this morning. What is up? It's George Lucas's birthday,
so it's a big day for all you nerds that
are in the Star Wars and of her other stuff
George Lucas does. It's not really my bag, so I
don't really pay much attention to it. Not even Howard
the Duck.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I forgot that that was part of his world too.
But no, I just never got into Star Wars.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
We had this discussion, I guess a couple of weeks
ago on you know, like may the Fourth be with
you days ago. But just to reiterate, I don't judge
you if you do. I just it's never been my thing.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
So I've seen one Star Wars movie in full, and
it was Phantom Menace.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
So that's the or what was the wrong one? What
was the one with the little Ewoks? It's Return of
the Jedi. I watched that too, so I've literally seen
the sure possible. It was Return of the Jedi. It
wasn't one of the standalone Ewok movies. It could have
been too, I don't know. I just saw they were running,
they little ewalks and they were running away from things wicked.
And one of the Ewoks has his own I think
he has a couple of different spin offs. No, this

(06:46):
was this is like the og this is okay, this
is back when the original universe before like it was
a thousand different TV shows. Okay, Well, gotcha.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
All right, So coming up your shot of a thousand
bucks just after nine o'clock. You will also have my
crew tickets at nine to twenty five. Sports.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Hey, the refs screwed a Detroit team, at least according
to the Internet, So what's new, It's just another day.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Well, Josh in this show one of six point seven.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
WOV Detroit's Wheels, The Josh Innis Show Sports.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Whoa the Pistons are one loss away from it officially
being Tigers season wow or WNBA season that I.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
Haven't named yet, Lion, I love lit Man. So although
we don't have a WNBA team here as you know,
but we will. But last night it was a loss
in overtime. Pistons blew a nine point lead with two
and a half minutes to go.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Of course, there was a missed call in the last
second of the game that could have given the Pistons
free throws.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
It could have won in the game. And that's all
anybody will.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Talk about because it's easy to sit around and just
bitch about refs all day instead of saying, hey, we
blew a nine point lead with two minutes to go,
how did that happen? Instead, it's just refs, refs, refs,
and it's boring and tiring, and that's just what you
do with I was thinking about this, and I'll keep
this as you know, succinct as I can, because I
don't want to go on some sort of rant on
this about something that people may or may not care about.

(08:13):
It's just something that I think is annoying. Like so
everything I see on media, from whether it be real
media or like podcasts or whatever. I say, real media,
but like old school media, mainstream media, whatever.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Yeah, not stuff that's created in some of new debasement
correct which, by the way, totally fine if you do.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
There's some giant podcasts, So like, I'm not judging podcasts
or anything. What I'm saying is there was a time
when you felt like the opinions you got from people
were authentic opinions. I don't feel that way anymore. I
feel like everybody's an engagement farmer. That's just what you
have to be. So like you look at a Woodward
sports and you're like, oh, you're gonna get from these
toolboxes today? Is that the refs are out to get

(08:58):
the pistons that like, maybe that's why you're not Maybe
that's why no one cares, but.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Maybe they do.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Maybe that's what people want out of the World's just
some dudes to yell at and tell them what they
want to hear. That's why Fox News became so big
or CNN or whatever. Maybe so, but media is so
far gone when it comes to covering teams locally because
they just ball wash teams and then just echo what
the craziest of fans say. And there's no credibility in it.

(09:26):
I used to work with a guy. Actually, hold on,
let me hold on, like, I have an anecdote about this.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Okay, I'll get to that.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
By the way, the Tigers and other extra innings loss,
so it was extra sports time losing last night is
what happened. So we had an overtime loss in the
playoffs and an extra innings loss. So things weren't very good.
So the Tigers aren't very good, but nobody is, so
they're right in the thick of things. I have an
anecdote for you though, about the way sports media people
do stuff.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I'll hang on to that.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
I'll also have to get to the Bears, well, the
Bear currently a Bear.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
The team we're playing on Thanksgiving Day.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
No, not those guys, and not the Patriots who, for
whatever reason, they're forcing you to play in Germany. But
I've got the thought on something I'll get to okay
in just a few Okay, but first I will give
you a cdc Alo six point seven Detroit's Wheels.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Josh had a show. It's Josh and James today. Glad
you guys are with us.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Uh, So we do have some audio from some folks
that saw the bear.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
What about your sports little sports anecdote you wanted to
wrap up with? Change your mind?

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Yeah, I don't think it's anything anybody would care about.
It's just just it's just me ranting about things that
are probably only important to me. So I think I'll
just I'll put a pin in the in the sports
anecdote because that's a sports media thought that. Let's be real,
no one cares what I have to say about some
anecdote about sports media. So I will I will pump

(10:53):
the brakes on that and just put up what if
they say, put a pin in that?

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Sure?

Speaker 2 (10:57):
So but anyway, see that's me using my better judgment.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Okay, See that's maturity.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Maturity is like, hey, Josh, no one gives a damn
what you have to say really about anything. But really
they don't care what you have to say about, you know,
ranting about sports media people and how sports is covered
in twenty twenty sixteen, Save that for a podcast.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Did You Mooke? Twenty twenty sixteen?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Well whatever, item twenty year. Yes it is. It's in
Star Trek twenty twenty sixteen. It's Space the Final Frontier
twenty twenty sixteen.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
It's like with the year twenty thousand hundred. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
But anyway, so here's what I'm gonna do. Then I'm
gonna hang on. I got some audio from some folks
who saw the bear, so we're gonna hear from some
people who saw the bear. All right downriver bear, Flat
Rock bear. So we're gonna hear some accounts of the bear. Yes,
and they're very jolly people about the bear. So we'll
have that for you and one thousand bucks just after

(11:54):
nine o'clock and nine to twenty five Motley Crew tickets.
Stay there, listen to the Josh Innis Show.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
A set Double Ullz as a pre set on our
free yard radio app well six.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
One Seventytroit's Wheels Josh at.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
The show that is Nirvana. Let's listen to the pleasant
folks Flat Rock explain and describe what it was like
when they saw a bear.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
I looked and I said, God, there's a big cat
over by my double gates gigs.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Alongside many of his neighbors. Miss took the animal captured
on a trail cam as a cat.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Now, perhaps I'm dumb, but I don't know how one
could mistake a black bear for a cat.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
I agree, with you, but thinking about this, we had
so we have a ring cam in our garage. Yeah,
and they started some new AI intelligent like identification thing
that they gave you for free to try to get
you to sign up for. And we've got a raccoon.
We have a groundhog that's been wandering around our property.
All right. Well, my wife got a notification that there

(12:53):
was a bear in the driveway and when in fact
it was just like the raccoon that was a big raccoon, yeah,
or a little bear or the smallest bear you could
ever see, tiny cub. I'll tell you right now, if
there's a bear cub walking around the yard, I'm in
trouble because my son is going to befriend.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
It got to be the Jungle Book like Mobili, Mogli
and Mogli and Colton and Ballue.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Yeah, Ballue and Colton.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Confirmed in now by the Michigan DNR as one of
two black bear sightings in the Carlton Rockwood Flat Rock
area since Sunday with this track to match.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
I guess it was actually a real bear.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
I mean it was probably that long and laying down.
It was here apparently was walking in our backyards. There's
so cash about a bear. But I guess when you
live in that area, you're used to bear stuff. Yeah,
so it's not new. I mean, I told you the
guy doing the stand up shot was in front of
a bear statue, So bears must be common in this area.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Bear country. It's bear country, he says. There's a beer.

Speaker 3 (13:54):
Caroline Ferrick is from the North, used to seeing what
the DNAR reports as twelve thousand bears in the Upper
and Lower Peninsula.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
I love the bear you've got, you don't, women like fur?
Welcome to wardref Road.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
I want to go find it.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
They're still talking about the wild animal bear right, Okay, yeah,
I don't think they have too many of the other
kind of bears. At least they say it sounds like
you and I would kill it up there. I think
we would kill it in flat Rock. But they just
walk around with the shirts off. Ladies like the fur
over there. They do.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Pleasant folks that got to see a bear, or they
didn't even see the bear.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Some of them did, some of them didn't. But man,
are you scared? Hold on to my tres care estate.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
She was not concerned at all. They had a good time.
I think that was all the people that live in
that town. Anyway, they're someone caught the bear though, alright,
it's Detroit's we Also, what is this story you have
about sneaking or not sneaking.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
You can bring food? Yeah, certain Major League ballparks, so
I guess there's some game the Milwaukee Ruers had a
game where some fans they knew, like the policy at
the ballpark you could bring in like so much food
and one gallance block so.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
As long as it fits into a one gallon zip
bloc bag, you can bring it in for free.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yes. And then now not all ballparks allow this, like Detroit,
we cannot do that. Okay, you cannot bring it in.
But since this has happened, the MLB, like food policy
has gone viral, okay because people are not looking into this.
So they found all the different ballparks where you theoretically
could bring in a whole ziplock gallon bag full of

(15:25):
spaghetti if you wanted to bring your own meal, and
I have to pay for concessions and save a meal.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
So did someone do this?

Speaker 1 (15:31):
Yes, you can see pictures of it posted one O
six seven wlz dot com or on the josh initial
Facebook page. Just a whole article about the stadiums that
allow it the stadiums that don't. But the question is,
like if you could sneak food into the ballpark, Like,
what would you sneak in your gamon?

Speaker 2 (15:48):
You can fit the Porterhouse steak if you wanted to
into a zip block bag, right, gallon zip block, So
just find some plastic utensils or no, you enjoy that.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Like a real man.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
You do it caveman stuff. That's what I would do.
If you want to get in text the words Josh
and your message to five one eight eight one five
one eight eight one or eight seven seven nine eight
eight one oh six seven what would you sneak into
a ball And it's even sneaking, you're bringing it in.
It's in a one gallon bag. It's certain ballparks it's allowed.
So what would you bring into the ballpark. We'll get

(16:21):
some of your thoughts on that, but first you will
hear Aerosmith one of six point seven Detroit's Wheels Josh
in a show. So you asked what people would bring
into a ballpark here in Detroit if they could. I
mean you can apparently in some ballparks you can bring
a gallon ziploc bag filled with food into ballparks. Somebody
brought in spaghetti, for instance. I think this one kind

(16:43):
of answers everything for everyone. It just says, f the food.
I'm bringing in a gallon of whiskey.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Okay. I don't know if that's gonna that's gonna fly,
but I don't know if you're allowed to. I'm sure
that there are rules, but I'd give it a shot.
You got to give it one shot. You might want
to get one of those freezer zipper you know, zipper
bags for that. Yeah, you know, I had a night leak. So,
but that's worth the shock though. Give it a whirl.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
I mean, one of the worst I can say is no,
and you turn around and go home.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Or you've got to go in the parking leven and
chug that bag because you poke a little hole in it.
That would be it. If you missed any of The
Josh Innis Show, listen on demand on our free I
yard Radio.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Act one of six point seven wld DE Truly two
Wheels The.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Josh Innis Show.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Sports all Right, So the Pistons loss last night and
they are now one game away, one loss away from elimination.
Game went to overtime, Tigers went to extra innings, Pistons
went to overtime. A lot of extra sports last night,
neither of which ended well, you know, late sports night
with all disappointing results it was.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
But the good news is it wasn't as late as
some of these had been. Like the other night, I
was up until like one thirty two o'clock watching a
basketball game, but.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
I was here. I showed up. Good. Appreciate it because
I'm a I'm a grind. I grind. You got that
Detroit GrITT.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
I'm gritty, and don't you forget it. So the NFL
will have a full release of the twenty twenty six
schedule tonight, so you can plan for all the games
that you won't have enough money for gas to attend
or just here in Detroit, games you can't afford to
go to anyway because the tickets are five hundred bugs apiece.

(18:23):
But some of the games that leaked yesterday, well I
think the leaked these were just the games that have
been made public that are going to be in other countries,
and there are far too many games in other countries.
You got the Rams and the Niners in Australia, Ravens,
Cowboys and Rio de Janeiro, Colts and Commanders in London,

(18:45):
Eagles and Jaguars and London, Texans and Jaguars in.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
London, Steelers and Saints in Paris.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Imagine all those wacky rednecks from New Orleans and Louisiana
mixed with all the yensers from Pittsburgh in Paris, Bengals
and Falcons in Madrid, Spain. And then of course you
have our game, the Lions and the Pats and Munich.
So the Lions lose a home game against the Patriots,

(19:12):
which would have been a fun home game against a
team that was in the Super Bowl, and they have
to travel to Munich to play that. So boy, thanks NFL.
I don't think anybody wants these games. I don't know
one human who's like boy. I love the fact that
my team is traveling to London for a game, or
Munich for a game, or Madrid, Spain for a game.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
But I hadn't talked to him.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
If there's someone who's interested in that, I have not
met that person. Someone who's super excited that they lose
a home game in Dallas. So you can see football
in Rio de Janeiro that you're not gonna go to
anyway that you gotta wake up at nine in the
morning to watch.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
But what do I know? And there you go. Real
may not be that early, No, but London Wall, London Way. Yeah,
so that's dope. I don't know nobody wants that, but
it happens anyway. And what are you gonna do. Maybe
you can fit three football games in and in a
Sunday instead of just it's but I don't know. It
hurts your team because they're traveling.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
All the it's stupid greed as what is greed from
the NFL. We rob our fans here locally, Ay, that
is sports. We like to give you a little Metallica
because Metallica rocks.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
So you shring this up loud and proud on your
way into work today, said, you know.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
What, crank it? I crank it? Yeah you do.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
We're in Detroit's wheels. I was watching some videos of
Gwinn Stefani and no doubt of the Spear I guess
they have. I don't know if they have a residency
there or one. I think they've been mussed. I don't
think anybody just does one off shows.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
They do a couple of weeks or so.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
So uh my god, Gwen Stefani looks good. I think
she's hotter now than she was in No doubt, Like,
she just looks spectacular. Good for this, Blake Shelton, good
for you, pal you getting. I would argue this is
prime Gwen Stefani. She's got the perfect look. She's got
the big, bright lips and the platinum blonde hair, and

(21:10):
she's just hot. I love Gwen Stefani. Did you like
No Doubt?

Speaker 1 (21:16):
I enjoyed them for a little bit.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Yeah, Yeah, it seems like they'd be sort of your jam,
but not quite your jam, like a little lighter than
your preferred jam, but something you tolerate.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Yeah, but then again, though you like ska stuff. Yeah,
it was before like I got into like heavier music
like this is when I was just kind of discovering
like alt. Like, yeah, Weezer was big around the time.
Put Weezer and No Doubt in the same category, Like
they're in the same universe musically sonically, I think they
sound Weezers onto the pilots, No Doubt. I'm trying to
think what else was like Green Day that those with

(21:46):
the intro to that would make sense to my music. Yeah,
you're high, but she.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Looks great, I mean fantastic, And I'd go see that show.
That'd be a good show, because sometimes you see these
shows at the Sphere and it's like, I don't know
enough about her Karen, about that band, or then I
wonder if that band would even be good like the Eagles. Right,
I'd go see the Eagles because you know every song
they're setlist is hit after hit after hit. But then
I'm like, I don't know that. I'd like, do I

(22:11):
really want to spend money on the Sphere to go sit?
I need this kind of band at this venue.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
You don't need that much of an immersive experience, like
imagine James Taylor the Sphere. In my mind, he would
literally just have a black screen behind him. The Sphere
up with something more original, but no doubt at least
like that seems like a fun show.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
I saw the videos of it.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
It look cool as hell, she looks hot, So rock on,
all right, we got more rock also one thousand dollars
coming up just after nine o'clock show six point seven
w L Detroit's Wheels. One of six point seven Detroit's Wheels.
Josh in a show.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
I got a text here from someone regarding the Lions
having to play the Germany game.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Yeah, all that, and I don't like it.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
I don't like that you lose a home game so
your fans miss out on seeing the Patriots come to
town so you can see a game in Germany that know,
none of us are gonna go to anyway, Like, who cares?
But this person says, well, hey, these these foreign games
or these you know, out of the country games, or
at least an opportunity to watch, you know, an extra
game of football, like at nine in the morning. I'm like,
that's cool, but do you really want to lose out

(23:15):
on a big game, which, by the way, is a
losable game, which could be a big game, and you're
gonna be dealing with playing this big game against a
good Patriots team in Germany and you lose a home
game which would be a hot ticket for people here.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
That sucks. Ye, that's all I get it.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
As a fan that consumes the sport, I don't want
to see the team I root for lose home games
to have to go to play in Germany to amuse
people in Germany so the league can make a ton
of money and put my team in a competitive disadvantage.
And by the way, not only that, you start to
look at the other stuff that the Lions have to do.
We haven't seen their full schedule that comes out soon today.

(23:51):
But then a couple of weeks later, you're playing a
Thanksgiving game. Yeah you know what I'm saying, So like
it is. I'm not gonna say unfair, fair, whatever, but
there's an element of that where it's like, you have
to lose a home game to go to Germany, you
have to play the early Thanksgiving game like two weeks later.
It's just I don't know. And then from the fans standpoint,
it's not there. To the fans, there's spending hundreds of

(24:13):
dollars a ticket to see their team play, and you're
missing out on a chance to see a team that
was in the Super Bowl last year because they're gonna
be playing against your team in Germany.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
I don't like it. I get it. Yeah, it makes sense,
and that's all, thank you. All right, here's green Day.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
So the other day we were playing audio from Philadelphia
where there were fans who were really furious about their
team losing to the Knicks, and you had like little
eight year old kids saying fire everybody.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Yeah, So I mean they get angry there. I mean
they're an angrier bunch than the folks are here in Detroit.
The nick swept them right correct.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Well, they interviewed and by day, I mean the local
news wxyzah went out and interviewed people as they were
leaving Little Caesars last night.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
So let's see, actually, let me hold on to this.
Play this in the nine o'clock hour, Okay, so we
will see how it compares to those Philly people. Because
the Philly people were just like fire everybody.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
This guy sucks. The one girl cried, yeah, I feel
recalled you. We're just start players gonna leave the team.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah, So let's we'll see how it sounds when people
leave the Pistons game after a heart breaking over until they.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Got the kid from the Mojo Show, because I bet
you he was very heartbroken.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
So we'll get into all that and coming up in
just a few minutes, your chance to win one thousand dollars.
It's a Josh Innis show on one of six point
seven the w LZ Detroit's Wheels.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Detroit's Wheels.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
It's Josh and James what's up. So last night the
Pistons fell down three games to two in their series
with the Cavaliers, and fans were leaving LCA, you know
after overtime, very disappointed, very distraught, very disheartened. And WXYZ
went out and talked to these folks just to get it,
to kind of get a gauge by they feel. Because
we played the audio from Philly, you know earlier this

(25:57):
s I guess it would have been earlier this week,
and these people are an angrier people. Just to give
you kind of a little taste of it.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
Here you go inside Exfinity Mobile Arena tonight, Cheyenne. This
game was bootless human being.

Speaker 5 (26:15):
I'm in New York right now.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
It's day.

Speaker 3 (26:17):
I'm Philadelphia.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Didn't know the way just as the evening I am
surrounding right now. I ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
This is a mother's name, masker.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
I left my mom, you know what I mean. It's
been something thinking.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
That I'm going down with the ship.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
But I'm going down with the ship.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
So I got making up to the marble.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Oh sell the team, farning nurse, everybody gone gone on.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
That kid was eight years old, nine years old. So
you get a vibe, you're selling the team. Then I
think you had the one girl that was crying, super
freaking it really is.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Now that's just an idea of how things are going
in Philadelphia. Let's see how things sound. When we talked
to the Pistons fans. Now, mind you, they had just
gotten eliminated. This is just falling down.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
Three game two, little seasons arena, knowing tomorrow is do
or die for the Pistons.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
We were doing really great the first half of this.
We should have won it. Disappointed, to put it nicely, disappointed,
very disappointing. But we're coming to Cleveland. We're gonna take
them to Cleveland. We went in the overtime, what's hurt?
The whole gym up? One three to one, no three.
Everybody was high boom with the three, all of that,
and then now everybody gonna.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
Sellouts harding got every single call that it's terrible, bro,
we blew that lead, bro keeping heart to beat at home,
But I think we'll beat them.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
I at least liked that last guy that was like,
hey we blew it. Everybody else like the rest cost
us or or we got cheated, or yeah we tried hard. Yeah,
we were. I like, the one lady who's like, you know,
we did good in the first is very It was
a great first half, you know, and we just didn't
do so great in the second.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
We'll get them tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
We'll have to try harder next time. And there you go.
That's the difference. I guess you got eight year old
kids in Philly. Fire everybody, fire the couch, fire everybody here.
It's like, we tried, we did good in the first half,
and then the Revs screwed up. So there you go.
So that Hardy got on the call.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
That's how things went.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
As folks were leaving the arena.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Last night, we are Detroit's wheels and this is Arrowsmith.
So the NFL schedule will be released today. That'll be
this evening, so you'll get to know the full schedule.
You get to plan your trips, if you're into such things,
You'll get to plan where you're gonna be going, how
things are gonna go, where you're gonna save the money,
which game's going to invest in, which ones you're not,

(28:48):
so you get to see the whole shebang. Everybody keeps
saying that the Lions schedule is supposed to be super
easy this year because of their bad record last year.
So what was the stuff that I saw posted yesterday?
It was just ai, I think there's some I think
that there are some leaks that get out, and then
there's also ones that are like the full schedule of right,

(29:08):
like they give you the full schedule of the What
am I looking for here?

Speaker 1 (29:12):
International? The international? I saw the international games and all that,
But then I thought I saw like the rundown of
who we were playing it to So.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Well, no, you already know who you're playing. It's just
a matter of when those games are going to be
all the time and stuff. They know we're playing certain teams.
You know we're playing certain teams at home and away. Correct,
But so the actual dates of when these home and
away games was coming out today?

Speaker 1 (29:34):
Gotcha? Okay, so that's what I saw. There wasn't any dates,
but they'd have certain teams highlighted his home in a way.
There you go, gotcha? So it makes much more sense
of me.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Yes, and then you'll everybody says, based on last year,
the schedule should be easier. That's the thing people are
hanging their hats on.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Well, we got the last place schedule now, Okay, but
that doesn't mean those teams are going to keep sucking,
and I mean you're going to get any better.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
But there you go, So tonight you get that. If
you want tickets to see Motley Crewe, tickets cats price piggies,
where are you? Piggies are not the oint oint pigs.
They don't care as wow and nasty. Well, if you
want tickets to see Motley Crue, we can make that

(30:16):
happen because we're true givers around these parts. So all
you have to do is call eight seven seven nine
eight eight one O six seven eight seven seven nine
eight one o six seven. That is the number, and
you could score yourself a pair of tickets to see
Motley Crewe.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Let me see here. Hello, Oh you can get your
marri itt Uh No we don't.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Yeah, all right, Yeah that a man.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Thanks for listening, brother, Yeah, men crying, men crying, But
Tony made you finally made again.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
Yes, sir, let me put you on hold. We'll get
all your information, but I feel like we already have it,
but we're gonna get it anyway. So congratulations, you will
be seeing Motley Crue and we have more rock and
roll on the way.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
All the Josh in is shown now at eight seven
seven eight one O six seven one six point seven
w LC Detroit t Wheels Detroit's Wheels.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Do you watch this documentary about the Chili Peppers came
out a couple months ago.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
No, I'm not a big documentary I love documentaries. It's
how I like to spend my time, would say about
the Chili Peppers. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
I didn't watch it.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Oh, there's a lot of heroin abuse. Well, here's what's happened,
and I forgot it's that. I guess it's not technically
about the Chili Peppers totally. It's about a guy that
was in the Chili Peppers or something. I forgot how
it worked.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
But I haven't watched it yet because every time I try,
I ended up flipping over at HBO Max and I
got caught up and watching Euphoria feeling like a real creep.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
He lemme. But some of the stuff to say about
Sidney Sweeney and these new episodes, and.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
It's funny watching these people get worked up over this,
like this season is any more disgusting than the other
two that were just nothing but banging and everything. But
people are appalled by this season of it. This show
is fine. I think it actually got kind of better
the first one. The first season of it, I went
really into it, but I'm like, I'm committed to it
because I really want to see where these characters go.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
Wait.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Wait, and now I'm in the middle of the third season,
which I guess will be the last season. Now I'm
caught up in real time. And by where they go,
you mean like where they're going to fornicate basically, Yes,
that's all it is and was so every time I
try to watch something else, I end up just going
back to Euphoria. But now I'm caught up on Euphoria.
Which exotic location?

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Am I going to see Sweeney's boobies?

Speaker 2 (32:41):
There's a lot of them. There's a lot of Sweeney
boobies to be seen. So if you're into such things,
this is a show for you. And I think the
new episodes come out on Sunday. So yeah, I'm caught up. Damn,
I miss it already. Wow, I just started to go
I am like all the characters in the show because
they're all rug addicts.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
It's a real fun, uplifting show. All right, here's American
High School.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
It's not mine, not my high school at all, but
apparently current high schools have supermodels.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
Banging and do an airwin all of that. All right,
it's a metallica.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
I don't know if you knew this, but the outfield
was originally called the Baseball Boys. The baseball boy that
was the name of their band. At one point, very
early on in the process, they were known as the
Baseball Boys.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
They did a good job of changing the name.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
I think so too, but yeah, so they were called
the Baseball Boys. And then at one point it's like,
you know what, maybe that's not the play and let's
go with the outfield. The outfield just sounds cooler, Like
baseball Boys sounds totally lame.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
There's nothing cool about that name, and you're like, well,
what does it even mean for music? Like I don't
even get it, you know what I'm saying. But then
you hear the outfield, it just sounds cool, yeah, way better.
So and there you go, that is the outfield with
their biggest hit, and you could argue, really their only
hit although they had I forgot what was the name
of that my they had like one or two, but
I forgot the name of the other one. Let me

(34:08):
look that up. Really quick. Your Love was the big one,
and then they had a couple, Let's see all the
Love in the world. That's the one I was thinking
of all the love in the world. That was like
the follow up to Your Love.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
So they still got a little momentum or feeling good,
and the outfield did make like, you know, I don't
know a handful of top fifteen, top twenty rock hits.

Speaker 1 (34:29):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
The problem is the eighties were a weird time for
rock hits because everything was a rock hit. Songs that
you listen to now and be like, I don't think
that's a rock song. That considered it rock bred, but they.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
Were rock back then.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
So like, if you listen to you belong to the city.
But actually, the Heat Is On is a good example.
So the Heat is On by Glenn Fry. The Heat
Is On is a pop song. There's nothing rocky about
the Heat is On. There's a pop song.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Yet in that era, there was a lot of crossover
that was pop and rock in the eighties because Glenn
Fry was in The Eagle, so he's got to be
a rock artist. So while that was like a number
one on a number two hit on pop radio, it
was also a huge hit on rock radio, but you
wouldn't like you would never turn this radio station on
today and be like like, oh wow, there's the heat
is on. Yeah, mostly because then we'd have to drop

(35:12):
some Lincoln Park and we can't do that. There's no
room for it. We got we got into the Lincoln
Parks gotta have their spot.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
No, that was a joke kind of But anyway, point
being in all of this is like, let's just say
it was a station that played like like it was
a true blue classic rock station. You would not hear
the Heat is On on a true blue classic rock
station because it.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
Is a pop song. But in the eighties it was
a rock hit because rock music was a very and
the out that's the outfield You're love? Is that a
rock song? That is a pop song? But it was
a number seven rock hit. So it's just it was
a weird time.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
So I bet Sunglasses at Night was a rock hit.
It's a pop song, yeah, but they were hits on
rock radio. If you were a band that was an
old school rock band, you know, like the Rolling Stones,
listen to some of the music they made the eighties,
you'd be like, well, those aren't really rock songs like
you know, the Harlem Shuffle isn't a rock song, but
I bet the Harlem Shuffle was a top ten, if
not higher, rock kick because it was the Rolling Stones.

(36:07):
So thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. Laura
is coming up next. We will see you tomorrow The
