Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Josh inn Is Show Sports.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Alright, let's see here, kiddos.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
What do we have.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Well, we have a Tiger's loss last night again, Oh surprise,
ten games out of first they are.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Now they're ten games in a row.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Two they've lost, or they've lost nine of ten. They
snuck one in there. Wow, you know, just to keep you,
keep you in it. Yes, they have to keep you vested.
They've speaking of vested, will vest I guess what we
could call what's been happening lately is getting vested. They
got vested last night. They gave up a grand slam
out that blew the game. I mean, it's really remarkable
(00:41):
the way they're losing these games. They are thirteen games
under five hundred. If they were in a better division,
they'd be about thirteen or fourteen games out. Just looking
around the rest of the AL, they'd be thirteen or
so games out of first in the East. Actually, they
damn near b winning the West. The West also sucks.
(01:02):
The Athletics lead the West. They're a game under five hundred.
Oh and they're on top of that division like the
Astros are eight games under five hundred. They're three and
a half games out of first, so that division's dreadful.
You go to the National League East, they'd be about
sixteen games out, the National League Central they'd be about
(01:23):
eleven games out. And in the NL West, where the
Dodgers have thirty five wins, the Tigers would be about
somewhere in the neighborhood of fourteen games out. They're ten
back in the American League Central and in the wild card.
They're actually dead last in the wild card race as well.
With the Angels. They're six games out of the wild card.
And that's only because they've added like fourteen wild cards
(01:46):
because they want to try to get everybody involved in
the playoff. They want to keep losers like the Tigers
in the race. They're like, guys, stay invested in this.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Everybody should make the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Might as well just skip half the regular season and
make it one long playoff. So they are six out
of the wild card. Man, magine being the Angels. The
Angels have won four in a row and they're also
six out of the wildcard. But they're they're dreadful, but
so were the Tigers. There's no other way to put that.
They stink. The Tigers are ten out of the division
and they're six out of the wild card and they
(02:16):
got encouraging news about Trek Scoogle's return, but really he
just needs to come back so they can trade him.
But it is amazing that this season has taken this route.
We had the t shirts with Tarrek and Justin Verlander
and Fromber. Fromber's been a nutcase who's been up and down.
I forgot that Verlander was on the team.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Have you seen it since the first game?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Coogles hurt? What a disaster. This season is good. See
the Tigers are back to being the Tigers, also the
Thunder and now up three games to two in that
Western Conference Finals series in the NBA. Whoever wins that
series gets to take on the Knicks, the stinky garbage
azz Ben Stiller fan based Knicks.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
So that series two in favor of the Thunder.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Now after they scored a lot of points last night
and beat the Spurs, and that friends this sports and
we have got more rock and roll on the way, like.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
It or not. This is the Josh Ennis Show. One
of six point seven WLZ Detroit Wheels one.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Of six forty seven Detroit's Wheels. Josh Ennis Show on
this day, let's see this would have been nineteen ninety five.
I think it would have been nineteen ninety five is
the day that Christopher Reeve was paralyzed because he fell
off a horse. Oh really okay, And that obviously was
a very significant thing that happened in the mid nineties,
and then Christopher Reevens up paralyzed. But here's why I
(03:42):
bring this up, right, So this is a totally random,
my dad type story. So one day I'm sitting at
home with my dad and my dad goes, you know,
they're filming some movie in New Orleans. Now, we lived
about forty miles, not forty miles, about forty miles. I
guess it was only like a forty minute drive to
New Orleans from where we look at I mean we
lived in Baton Rouge. It was an easy drive to
(04:04):
New Orleans. And they were filming a movie. Goes, Josh,
Christopher Reeve is filming a movie as a director, and
he's filming a movie about a girl that's paralyzed that
goes to like Stanford or something like that. We should
go and try to get in the movie. I'm like, no,
I don't want to do that at all. Yeah, I'm
like eighteen maybe at the time in high school. Like, Dad,
I don't want to do that at all, but he
(04:24):
like wrangles up me and my sister and my stepsister
and me, and we all get in the car and
we drive to New Orleans to try to be in
this Christopher Reeve directed movie that is a true story,
a made for television movie about a girl. And I
forgot her name, but like, Christopher Reeve directed a movie
about a paralyzed girl that like ended up paralyzed. Lacy
(04:46):
Shabbey was in the movie, So Lazy Shabbe Gretchen Wieners
for Mean Girls and now the star of all of
like the Christmas Hallmark movies. So Lacey Shabbe. Okay, she
played the paralyzed gap And I forgot it. Was it
Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio who might have played the mom. It
was a made for TV movie about a paralyzed girl.
(05:09):
Is it the brook Ellison Brook Ellison story?
Speaker 1 (05:13):
All right?
Speaker 2 (05:13):
So the brook Ellison story. My dad's like, Josh, we
should go because I want to try to meet Christopher Reeve.
I'm like, Dad, the man is a quadriplegic. You're not
gonna meet Christopher Reeve. He's not just rolling around out
on the streets in New Orleans. The guy has to
breathe through it too. He can't move and just ye,
that's what he does. You're not gonna meet him, dad,
(05:35):
It doesn't work that way. But we drive to New Orleans.
If my dad, like for whatever reason, gives us all
headshots and stuff of my dad whatever. We show up
right and they start selecting people to be extras for
a graduation scene because the spoiler alert, Brooke Ellison graduates
from like Stanford, but it wasn't filmed at Stanford.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
It was filmed at TWU Lane.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
I think is where we're Loyola or one of the
schools in New Orleans. So anyway, we go and they're like,
dressed like you're going to a graduation. I'm like, Dad,
I'm not putting on clothes to make it look like
I'm at a graduation.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
So we show up. Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
They take my stepsister and they put her kind of
near like in an area where she might be seen.
The rest of us are just shoved into the very
back of this graduation outdoor graduation.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
We're watching them film this, this Brook Ellison story with
Lacey Shabbe as this quadriplegic girl, right, and my dad
starts getting rests. It's like, I want to go try
to meet Christopher Reeve. I'm like, Dad, you can't meet
Christopher Reeve. He's like, yeah, I'll just do the Scooby
Stuff firm.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
They'll let me in.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
I'm like, Dad, they're not gonna do that. So he goes,
come with me. I'm like, I whatever, what's he saying? Hey,
does Christopher Reeve want to meet the voice of Shaggy.
They're like, hey, hey, Christopher Reeve.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Why?
Speaker 2 (06:49):
So we go and he finds a trailer where it's
clear like this must be where Christopher Reeve is directing
this movie from because he's not outside doing it, I
think because he's in a wheelchair. So my dad goes
and he tries to bang on this trailer door. He's
like and like someone answers, like he just visited Oz,
like he said, you know, the Emerald City. Guy answers
the door like through the hole. He's like, you know,
like that's a horse of a different color. So my
(07:11):
dad goes, hey, man Scott in his voice of Scooby Doo,
I'm here to meet Christopher Reeves. I'm like, they're like, no,
you can't meet Christopher Reeve. And he starts doing the
voice and stuff. He's like like hey, school and all that.
I'm like, no, like stop Dad, and and he like
starts to try to try to peep through the door
like Christopher Reeve, it's the voice of Scooby Crazy. And
(07:31):
they basically tackled my dad outside of this this trailer
where Christopher Reeve was directing this movie about a girl
who graduated high school as a pair of aleegiic it's
probably like the biggest situation for pelegic.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
The biggest scary situation they've ever had it.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
And I know they're made for TV movie shoot, it's
like a lifetime movie about a quadriplegic girl. And and
we're watching them film these scenes over and over. My
dad gets restless, tries to meet Christopher Reeves. They're like, no,
you can't meet Christopher reed So my dad basically got
tackled by security. All that to tell you that if
you watch the graduation scene of the Brooke Ellison Story,
(08:08):
I don't know if it's online anywhere, you can see
my stepsister from behind.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
So it was all worth that I guess it was
all worse Josh's stepsister, everybody, and that all that to
tell you that Christopher Reeve was paralyzed on this day
in nineteen ninety five.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Thank you, Josh Innis Show, one of six point seven WLV.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Detroit's Wheels The Josh Innis Show sport. All right, So
the Tigers lost again, bitch, they are ten games out
of first, like thirteen games under five hundred. I saw
somebody post on social media, how do you lose to
the worst team in baseball? Well, friend, you found a
(08:52):
way you become them. Actually, ah, you have the same
record as the Angels, so you become the worst team
in baseball.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yet it's like face off. It's like looking in a mirror.
It's like looking at a mirror, only.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Not that's kind of what it was, because again, it's
like the Spider Man thing. It's like you you point
to each other, you're the you are the worst team.
You are collectively the two worst teams in baseball. Like
at some point you have to acknowledge it.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
You have to be kind of.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Like, oh, like, those aren't the worst teams in baseball.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
We are one of them. Yeah, we are.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
We are a couple of days ago when they lost
on that walk off home run, and I think it
was the first game of the doubleheader. A couple of
days ago they lost on a walk off home run
in Baltimore, and Dan Dickerson's disgust could be played for
basically any of these games over the last month.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
All the Orgles won. Right here is a single, Oh
Kenny Jansen wants is to end this thing right here.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
There's a lot of swing and miss in this back.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
How about a pop up? Now about a pop?
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Well, they popped it up.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
They o two five ball center deep. You've gotta be
kidding on two pitch. Bolton Kowser got another sinker and
did not miss. And there you go. I think you
could play that.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
You gotta be kidding me, just basically every day every day.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Last night a grand slam off of Will Venz.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
It just it's the one nice you got to be
kidding me moment is brought to you by Ballpark Franks.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
You've got to be kidding me.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
And there when you cook them exactly, it's exactly what
they do, all right. The Josh inn A Show. Welcome in, everybody.
We give you all the rock and nobody giving you more.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Rock an rowl this morning.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yeah, I enjoy this text regarding the Tigers, it says
you could have played that song every time the bullpen
comes in.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
He was referring to give it away. Now, you guess
you could also say it for this one. Good ridden
all right, So what we got coming up? Start there?
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yeah? Well, look, I'm doing what I could a coming up.
The good news is everything's fine at the zoo, is it?
There was some concern about the zoo, our zoo, our zoo, but.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
I'll fill you in on all the details, but.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
First we must rock it. God, we are at Detroit's wheel.
So apparently there was a threat at the zoo yesterday.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
I can't believe this.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Late in the afternoon, the authorities were made aware of
a threat directed at the Detroit Zoo. What are we
doing here at the zoo?
Speaker 1 (11:34):
You know, I kind of liked this.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Well, apparently Rocky was there, I guess right. Well, you
know he proposed to Adrian at the zoo. That's a
big deal. You know, I wonder if you wouldn't mind
married me too?
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Story right now, it's zoo.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
So but apparently there was a threat, but it was
not a credible threat.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Okay, and this is strange.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
But there have been similar reports across the country that
other zoos have been threatened. Why would people want to
threat Why do you hate the gorillas and the in
the in the.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Giraffes so much? Is like Peta is Peter like threatening?
They're like, no, I don't.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
I mean, that would be kind of a dumb move
on their part. Or maybe what they're trying to do,
maybe it's an inside job with this Pita because they're
what they're doing is they're letting that they're putting in
threats to show that it's not safe for the animals.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Like see there's threats o yeah, not only the public.
Yeah yeah yeah, because I was thinking to Mars, so
they're like release the lions or the zoo gets blown up,
you know, something like that could be very well, you're
not wrong. No zoo is closed, right, don't close the zoo.
They just put the dinosaur stuff in. They just open
up a brand new like hands on exhibit with like
(12:42):
steam rays and stuff. We got planes this weekend with
my son, So don't close the zoo.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Well, the safety and well being of our guest staff
and volunteers who call the zoo home as our highest priority.
So that's good.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
So so those monkies, thank you, the monkeys thank you.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
The giraffe says, fine, everything's good.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Look at the monkey's throwing this pooh right at you
as a sign of thanks.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
There you go, we are Detroit's wheels. This is don't
stop believing?
Speaker 1 (13:09):
Has some new times on that card?
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Does Troit's wheels? Today would have been Vincent Price's birthday.
He would have been like one hundred and fifteen years old.
Whoa the hell of a run for old Vincent.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
But I mean people have lived in that long these days,
not often, I don't are they? Are they really living?
The oldest person living I will probably like one hundred
and twelve. Who one hundred and eleven is the current
play some nice little old lady who lives in Georgia
or something.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
The world's oldest living person is Ethel Caterham in the UK.
She's one hundred and sixteen.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
There we go. See she's order nineteen oh nine, so
she's still alive. Could you imagine being born in nineteen
oh nine and still being a line right now?
Speaker 2 (13:49):
She credits her longevity uh to it, says uh Cataram
has credited her long life to taking things in stride,
never arguing with anyone, and lots of cunt of lingus.
Oh wow, well no sorry analingus. Oh oh no, neither
one of those are true.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
That's a secret. Huh yeah, I think that's actually what
it is. I think those are true, but I'm not
keep on ticking. I guess I may have made those up.
I'm not positive on that one. These are just the
Josh packs. I might be distorting the facts.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
It's fake news.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Sorry about that anyways. This is Josh for licking bugs
that still live longer.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Yeah, according to Ethel, maybe it is.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
She may have said that. She may not have.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
James hard to say two hundred and sixteen Becameerson and
what he's telling us. She canna say whatever she wants
at this point.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Do you live that long?
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Anyway? She's a bad hands wap out here? Probably all right,
rock and roll? This is Ozzy? Who was it that
sang that song originally? Who was that? David boot what
(15:09):
is it?
Speaker 2 (15:12):
What is it? David Bowie's no, I know, gosh, it
is show sports alrighty, So let's see here, kiddos.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
If you want to text us.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
You can text the word Josh and your message to
five one eight eight one, just let us know you're
out there. We'd like to hear from you. And how
old is the oldest person you know? Text us and
let us know how old is the oldest person you know?
And is that person near one hundred and sixteen.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
Years of age? Like the world's oldest person? That one lady?
Is it Edna or ethel ethel? Let's see here.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
So the Tigers were losers again yesterday. Wait, wrong sound effect.
Hold on, it's a new wheel sound effect. Sorry, it's
my bad on that one. Hold on, there we go.
Hold on, you've got it, Thank you, Dan Dickerson. But
they lost again in really impressive fashion. A grand slam
(16:09):
beat them. They can just keep finding new ways because
they stink. The good news is Trek Scooble's nearing a return.
Oh and I guess the other good news is that
means he's closer to being traded. Yes, they finally got out.
They well, they evicted them a long time ago.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Now finally I got them removing correct Now it's uh.
They brought the guy with the samurai swort in and
got them, And now they're just remodeling. Okay, they got
rid of the foreign bodies in his elbow. Now they're
remodeling the place.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
But he seems to be almost good to go, which
means somebody like the Dodgers or someone that's a team
that's good at baseball might actually go get him.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
See I thought I saw an article that the Dodgers
might be interested. When soon Schooble comes back.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
You know who's going to really hate his life is
Verlander when he finally gets back. And by the time
he gets back, they will have traded Schooble and he's
not even like he's most horrible team that's thirty games
now and suddenly he's the ace.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Yeah, he's like here, I am, hey, the captain, the
ace again. This is my squad. Now, you gotta be kitty,
you gotta be kidding me. So and fromber he's about
to do for a meltdown at some point too. So
that's exciting. I feel bad for all the people that
got those shirts from us on Tiger's opening day. You
know they run soon. Basically they were a lie.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
I mean they weren't a lie in the sense that
there were you know, those guys are on the team.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
And those who still have one of those shirts that
they have not already, they're soon to get the sleeves
removed and becoming a the laune. Oh.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
I don't feel bad for those people. They got a
free shirt, so.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
These are not the oint piece.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
They don't kill wow, And I don't feel bad for
those people. All right, So there you go. They're playing
baseball again today, but honestly, who the hell cares? And
that is sport, so right. I did bring that Vincent
prize for a reason earlier.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yeah, this was his birthday, would have been his birthday.
But I really enjoying his part of Thriller. Do you
I do?
Speaker 2 (18:06):
Have you ever heard the audio Vincent Price in the
recording studio doing Thriller?
Speaker 1 (18:11):
No, it's very good. It's really fascinating.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
I love listening to audio of people recording, like the
the the isolated.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Vocals of things. Gotcha.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Maybe I'll play some of that too, I don't know,
but anyway, welcome in everybody. We're just playing rock and
roll for you today. Thank you, Vincent Price. I can
it was We are the Motor City's Wheels and one
on six point seven Detroit's wheels.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Josh in his show.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
All right, So I mentioned that today would have been
the birthday of Vincent Price.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Do you know Vincent Price's last movie?
Speaker 2 (18:51):
We do not, Edward Scissorhands, and they died while they
were making Edwards. That's a it's a I enjoy that movie,
but it's it's very Tim Burton, and I love eighties nine.
He's Tim Burton. But anyway, so Vincent Price, of course
was in Thriller. There's the whole dialogue in the middle
of it, like the breakdown in the middle of it.
So here's audio of them recording this. And I just
find this kind of stuff to be fascinating. And maybe
(19:12):
on an island here, but I find this fascinating.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Anytime you want, Hi, this is.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Michael Jackson, this is Vincent Price.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Talk about two totally different voices.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Yeah, Michael Jackson is the thriller?
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Do we vo say it?
Speaker 1 (19:33):
Say it together? I say, inviting you too? All right, Yeah,
it's great.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
And apparently this took two takes and it was done.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
That's a pro. Then, and there's a longer version, like
I've got.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
The audio that's just the short and condensed version that's
in like the short radio edit of the song.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Yeah, there's an even longer version where.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
He's got like a minute and a half breakdown in
the middle of this song, where he just goes.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Okay, Hi, this is Michael.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
Jackson and this is bencent Price inviting you to the Thriller.
Darkness falls across the land, the midnight hour is close
at hand. Creatures crawl in search of.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
Blood to terrorize your neighborhood. The foulst tenches in the air,
the funk of forty thousand years, and grizzly ghouls from
every tomb are closing in to seal your doom. And
though you fight to stay alive.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Your body starts to shiver, for.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
No mere mortal can.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
Resist the evil of the Thriller?
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Can you dig it a now?
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Imagine being able to just laugh on Q like but then, yeah,
that's people don't have voices like that.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
That voices like that's a legendary one.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
That's like a voice from a guy who probably smoked
from the time he came out of the womb.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
You know those kind of guys.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
They don't have voices like that anymore.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
The smoke on those unfiltered cigarettes.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
Oh god, yeah, okay, arad, that's it.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
It's like do you guys need me for anything else?
It's like, no, Vincent, I think we're good Palace, and
I just think that's so coold. Araight, alright, man, I
don't know. They just don't make dudes like that, you know.
They're just big balls voice dudes like that.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
They all smoke.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Sometimes I'll find myself watching videos on YouTube of legendary
voice over guys, you know, and all of them are
recording in the studio ash tray next to them. Everything's tall,
are stained on the walls, lit while they're doing. Announcers
used to be that way. All the great announcers for
the most part that you love that were the historic
great baseball broadcasters. Most of them probably smoked from the
(22:13):
time they were five years old, just how it was,
and that's why they sounded so great and raspy and
gravelly and amazing. Like No Officer Jason Bennetti. His are
manufactured pipes, you know what I'm saying, Like it's it
is what it is. But like guys like you know,
like an Ernie Harwell or a Jack Buck of these
legendary announcers that have these big ballsy, raspy voices, they
came from a place of that being like that was
(22:36):
it that was there. It came from smoking cigarettes and
being old newsboys that would stand out on the corner
and say extraction read all about weird.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Are you going to see that on the most posters
promoting smoking?
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Be the next voice of your local baseball team?
Speaker 5 (22:50):
I read.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Listened to the Josh in his show Anywhere, said doub
Lz as a pre set on our free yard radio
app one of six point seven Detroit's Wheels Josh Shnnis Show.
It's Josh and James, welcome in. Here's what we got
coming up. While we were out there was something that
went viral. I love when the criminals locally go viral,
involved in stuff with the judge and everything. A gentleman
(23:15):
went in viral here locally involves the script clubs.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
So we're gonna do that here in just a second.
But first viral strip club guy.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
Yes, that's after under pressure. It's one of six point
seven Detroit's Wheels Josh Hennis Show. All right, so let's
hear this story.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
This went viral over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
A gentleman wearing a who's been he's basically being arraigned.
I think is what's happening right, And this gentleman is
someone who is wearing a shirt that says strip club veteran. Oh,
he's the old veteran of this strip club, of the
strip in the booty bar.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
So let's see here, let's go with this audio.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Now, what's your name, sir? Ready a Scoop Club veteran.
I just judge. I want to think him for his service.
Speaker 5 (24:05):
Action.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm here towards the duty. Did
you do that is the personal bomb, mister Redmond?
Speaker 2 (24:19):
Did you get a purple heart.
Speaker 6 (24:22):
All right with you?
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Date May twenty nine in front of Judge Robins. Besides sir,
for your service? Did she not realize the services is
a joke.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Well, they may collectively know it's a joke, because if
he references that earlier, I think the judge references the
thank you for your service too.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
What's your name, sir? Why you're a Scoop Club veteran.
I just judge. I want to think him for his service.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
The other guy that the prosecutor or something like another
guy on the zoom chimes in. It's like, I want
to thank you for your service, and I think it's funny.
He's asking if you got a purple heart? How do
you get a purple heart rip club?
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Something? Is that like a stripper of parts in your face? Oh?
Something's purple? I'm sorry, I'm sorry. The tours of duty?
Did you do? Look?
Speaker 2 (25:15):
I don't want to question how many tours one has
to do at the strip club to consider himself a
veteran and wear the hat and the shirt, but five
seems like a low count. Like if he's a strip
club veteran, imagine James Harden, he's got.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
To pump those numbers up, man. Oh god, yeah, Like
James Harden's laughing. This says, like what five in by night?
Speaker 2 (25:32):
I went to five different strip clubs and one night,
says the guys in Motley Crewe.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
I guess it depends on the strip club too, you know,
is it to stop like Mount Clemmons if it's still around,
or was it like what was the one not Bentley's,
There was another one that was named after like some
old boat, the Duchess or something like that. There you go.
You know, it depends maybe five tours of duty at
the Duchess. You know, maybe give the the veterans.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
I think you get veteran status. If you go to
worst strip clubs, I think that that might be where
the purple art comes in. So anybody, I guess, anybody
who's like a military could be you know, in the military.
You know, if you enlist or whatever. It takes someone real,
you know, the real big to go out there and
get the Purple Heart or the Congressional Medal. Off guys
making a rain on the strippers with the stretch marks
(26:16):
and the c sections car that's it.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
And the ones whose tatas looked like a tennis ball
and a gym sock. So what I did. I went
to New Orleans once.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
So it was after LSU won the national championship in
two thousand and seven, and me and my buddy are like,
we're going to Bourbon Street.
Speaker 1 (26:31):
Oh, there you go, this is about to go.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
And we went to uh like he was a place
called Fat Daddies. I don't know if that's the name
of Big Daddies. It's either Big Daddies or Fat Daddy Daddy.
It is a daddy and it's a strip club and
you go in you have to pay like seven bucks
for a beer to get in that type of deal.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Yeah, guarantee you had to buy some of he drinks.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
When I tell you that these women were about his
bus station skanky, I believe it. These women had more
dimplest than the dimples and a titleist. They look like
a golf ball.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
I got solicited by a stripper in New Orleans with
the voice of Vincent Price. Can dig it? No, ma'am,
I cannot dig it. I cannot dig it. Ray, that's
that's what you said. Address it. No, thank you, ma'am right,
And then she forced me to give her a tip.
(27:18):
That's usually. I had to put a five dollar bill
in her panties. I'm like, please go away. Then I
go to my friend, Look, we need to get the
f out of here now. That is where the funk
of forty thousand years dig.
Speaker 2 (27:28):

Speaker 1 (27:53):
We may not want to know.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
Text the work Josh and your message to five one
eight eight one.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
We got a big story from James about a dry
that he just purchased. You won't believe what we found
from the previous owners. Oh we're gonna find that out.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Thanks Point seven Detroit's Wheels Josh and A Show Josh
and James.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Hello, thank you. So you bought a new washer and dryer.
Well you used washer and dryer obviously, Well, no, it's
brand new. We had to get new appliance. Is our
our the equipment we had we moved in the house,
it was already like super old. I finally took a
crap UF gotch like a week ago. So we had
a new washer and dryer. Go buy it whatever.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
So just a brand new washer and brand new washert Like,
here's where I scored. The one time I had to
buy a washer and dryer is I went to one
of these you know, slightly dented and irregular stores and
I got like a brand new washer and dryer for
like half the price. Because there's a couple of dens
who cares. When I had my first apartment, we went
to just to use applying store. You can get a
whole set for like two hundred bucks. That's what I'm
(28:55):
talking about. Why do you even meet and like everybody's
got these fancy front loaders and stuff. Like I had
a fan see frontloader once said that in the rental.
I'm like, well, this is great. I'm really moving on
up in the world. Damn thing locked and I couldn't
get it open. It was like, these things seem to
break worse than a good old fashioned whirldpooled washer.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Don't tell me that, because that's what what we got. Well, look,
I'm not saying that all front loaders suck.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Yeah, but what I'm saying is like I think sometimes
we spend too much money on things that really aren't necessary.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
Oh you mean, like a smart washer and dryer that
can connect to your home to tell you when you
know stuff's done or needs to be redone or I'm like,
I don't, why do we need to connect it to
my house?
Speaker 2 (29:30):
And don't and don't get me started on the on
the smartness of these washers and dryers because it has
a special little thing that detects when it thinks it's
dry versus when you need to have it dry. So
like I'll go in there and it says it's dry
because the sensor said it was dry and it's still
soaked because it's saving electricity and I don't need you
to save electricity for me to get that sensor checked.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
Because we had the same FeAsS is why the wife
raised about it. My wife was like, I had it
set to this amount of time and it kept going
because the clothes were still wet. Now they're dry.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
Like, just buy a old school washer and dryer, top loaded,
put the stuff in and go like old school you go,
because that's so you bought this. So you bought a
brand new washer and dryer.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
So they come to deliver it and we have to
move obviously the old washing and dryer out of the basement.
So in that process of moving it around, I found
something the previous owner left behind and it's a pair
of So.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
What you're saying is you didn't find this in the washer?
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Correct? You found this behind in my washer? Yes, like
it has fallen behind and it was left there for
god knows how many years. Okay, leopard print boxer Shore,
this guy knows how to party. He does.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
But it's also not like that makes you timid it anyway?
I mean you wear thongs? Oh yeah, no, so I'm
Leppard print boxers. You're like, well, this is baby stuff.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
It was only slightly embarrassing when the guys that were
making delivery saw them on the ground and made the
comment like, you might want to pick up your leopard
print underwear. I'm like, not mine. Those aren't mine. That's
from that's from the previous owner. I have a American
flag thong, you dummy it. Yeah, and if you look
on the shelves over there, you might find a rubber
dong or that I hid in case we had another
(31:06):
repair done in that room, just.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
A surprise the repair man, Land Mines, I say, Land mind,
And I know it was.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
A surprised because I got caught by a surprise when
I found it looking for tools to take the gas
line down.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
And now I have to wear an eye patch, right,
But yes.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
I was one like, what's the weirdest thing you found
in your home now that the previous owner has left behind?
Because we've got two weird things, well, lubber print boxers
and a shirtless picture of the previous owner he left
doing work in the basement. So when we moved in
behind our bar. There's a drawer, So open up the
drawer and inside the drawers a bunch of pictures of
like the renovations he did to the house. Yeah, the
(31:44):
key picture there is him shirtless.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Well, my whole basement is loaded with with weird stuff
like old newspapers. Like the shelves are lined like you
would line a shelf with newspapers because you're putting you
like detergent or something. The newspapers are all from like
nineteen seventy two. It says like Elton John coming to
America on one whoah, Like what boy, you folks are
in for a root awakeneh twenty years.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
What happens after that?
Speaker 2 (32:09):
It wasted until you see, uh there was that. There's
old Uh there's like an old sewing machine. There's a
crock pot that's got to be thirty years old.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
There's tools that looks like like Freddy's Diddle Dungeon. It
looks like it looks like it really does though. It
looks like where Freddy takes the kid the boiler room.
It's like Freddy's boiler room. It's frightening down there, and
everything is like forty to fifty to sixty years old
down there. It's it's bizarre. They have a weird smell.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
And there's a singular toilet. There's no door. There's just
a toilet, like just a toilet just but it's plugged up.
I mean like could use it plumbed. But it's not
like in a room. Correct, It's just there's a there's
its base nook, one big bathroom. My basement is essentially soft.
Hello shown w LZ Wheels one O six point seven

Detroit's Wheels. Josh and his show. It is Josh and James.
Glad you guys are with us today.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
The Tigers play the Angels again as they blew that
one last night they gave up a grand slam. Lady Fifield.
Will the Angels be in old team? Well, I mean
obviously I think it's been with the Angels some sort
of a That's what I've said.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Now I can think about it. Send me an angel now,
it's now it's like rab.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
And.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
That's what the Tigers need. They need to be sent
an angel. You're not wrong, send him an angel please?
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Right?
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Can you dig it?
Speaker 1 (33:42):
Thank you? I'm not an angel named Schooble.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
No, that angel when he gets sent back, he's gonna
be sent somewhere else, to the Dodger or somebody else.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
The Yankees.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
They're saying, please send me an angel named schoobl We's
got some money, yeah, because.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
He gonna be going, He's gonna be out of here. Boy,
what a wild time.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Though we brought this up earlier, but opening day we're
like scoobled lander from so high, like the jotted baby,
the best, the best peking.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Rotation in the league. According to one Josh Ennis, now
worst team in baseball.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Read perhaps you're starting to understand why I don't do
sports radio anymore. To be fair, everyone said that this
rotation on paper is super dominant.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Read yeah, bru Land and Edy, go blow it with
that hit a stupid hip, Well, corson William and we
can throw the hip out banging his wife.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
And I guess technically, this is not the worst team
in baseball. That is still the Colorado Rockies. Really, we
only have twenty wins. Tigers are just tied for the
worst in the American League. Okay, so well, Angels here
again tonight after their five run eighth inning. See will
Vest means an angel?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
You got an angel?
Speaker 2 (35:00):
With you right now, and he's gonna help kids.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
He's an angel, he must that's the signal. That's a signal.
So I guess we'll see. If you see somebody on
the DV standing up doing the Angels in the outfield arms,
it's probably Josh that's gonna beat Neil. I'll go to
the game that I just do the It could happen.
It could happen.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
That kid's dad is such a dick, Oh Rogers dad.
What an a hole, just a total jerk. Has a
sweet motorcycle though he did have a sweet motor man
and sweet facial hair.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
I mean everything, you know, I tell you, I think
I kind of like him. Everything's cool about the guy,
except howab he treats his son.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
Yeah, if he treated his son of the and even
that kind of made him cooler in a way. I mean,
then that's back when you treated your kids terribly. And
he actually helped the Angels win the pennant. That's true.
You know it wasn't for that cool dad. So you're welcome, Angels,
you know.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
So there right now, if you see Joseph Gordon Levit
in the crowd tonight, we're probably gonna lose man noted
right now.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
You know, it's the Joshnis Show and this is Metallica,
Rice Wheels Josh Show about to get out of here?
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Is Laura in here today? I haven't seen her walking around.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Laura, Are you out there? Yes, Laura is out there.
She's banging on the door right now. She said, I
got records to play.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Got a bottle of a while wine.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
Yeah, she's gonna crack like we're like one of the Stooges,
like a three Stooges, you know. So Laura is gonna
get in here. Next she's gonna play some rock and
roll music for you. And then Rob I almost said
Rob van Zand that's a different Rob. We haven't mean,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
He's like the fifth van Zant brother. He's not the
one that was. He's not the dead one that was
in Leonard Skinner.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
He's not the live one that's currently and like he's
like the bald one that was in Biodome. No that, No,
he'd be like like the slightly who's the he's William
Ball I guess is that William bald One. He's Rob
van zandt is like all he could do was get
gigs in like a thirty eight Special tribute band and
like he gets to fill in on occasion when everybody
(37:06):
else is out. So that's Rob van Zandt who's actually
coming up this afternoon. How many van z Amt brothers
were there? Three or two? She had the brother that died.
That's uh, Ronnie van zand he was the one in Skinnered.
Then there's Johnny and Donnie. So Donnie is in thirty
eight Special and Johnny, I believe, is the one that's well,
what is the singer for skinnerd now?
Speaker 1 (37:27):
Ronnie and Donnie?
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Ronnie, Donnie and Johnny. There's a Johnny and then there's
Rob Rob van Zandt as well, So he's the he
just he's someone that they just found out after doing
a DNA test.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
He got the twenty three and me back believe it. Yeah,
so my great cousin is and they all dismiss him.
He's like, oh, we don't even like him.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
That was your dad made one mistake and now we're
stuck with Rob van Zandt.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
But anyway, all that to tell you that Laura's coming
up next. We'll see him. It's a Josh in his
show on one of six point seve wllz.
