Speaker 1 (00:00):
W LZ Detroit one O six point seven, Detroit's wheels
and an ark radio station guaranteed human. All right, Josh
had to show Josh and James. Hello, James Blue, all right,
we're gonna play some rock and roll for you, and
then we'll get the sports. Good Tiger's lost again, bitch.

(00:20):
We'll talk about no, maybe some baseball changes. Here we
go the Josh in his show sports all right, well,
command everybody, you dig it. Oh yeah, Casey does not
like my Vincent price drops. What I was talking with
Casey yesterday and he goes, what's with all the Vincent

(00:43):
price drops? I don't know. I thought they were funny,
like we uh, we laugh at them. He would have
been one hundred and fifte years old. We talked about
it and we found it. Yeah, I'm interest in audio.
We found a couple of little old nuggets within in
that audio. It didn't it wasn't plucked from the air.
I mean, was it a lazy way to get the
audio shirt It's like, hey, it's this guy's birthday to day.
But hey, it led to playing the audio from the

(01:06):
Thriller recording session and we ended up with that, and
I think it's a funny drop. I played the drop.
We laugh, right, But I just think Casey appreciates my
special brand of humor. But this is our Matthew McConaughey
is alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, alright, all right. We
also didn't appreciate. And I don't know if anybody else

(01:27):
knows this or not. You may not, but there is
a little sounder that will play sometimes between songs. It's
just a tire screech. So instead of like Detroit's wheels,
it's just tires, which cool. Okay, that's kind of a
different thing to do. It's kind of a subtle day.
I like it cool, right, So as a joke, I
started playing the uh of the Flipstones, like I find

(01:51):
that funny. Yeah, Casey doesn't find it funny. He goes, look,
I've heard the jets, so I'm going to have to
retire those today. I think that's the end of the
the end of the road for my Flintstones and my
jets and sound Efect. But the good news is you're
gonna get seventeen or eighteen songs in the seven o'clock hour,

(02:13):
so you're gonna stick around for that. But you can't
have the last Jets that said, the Tigers lost again, bitch,
because that's kind of what they do. It's kind of
their thing. You know. That's texting with Tony Travado yesterday
and he's like, what happened to the Tigers. I'm like, well,

(02:33):
here's what happened to the Tigers. They pulled the groins.
They did do a lot of groin pulling. But that's
not the most important factor here. But yes, it is
a factor, it's not the factor. What actually happened is
they weren't really that good when they started last season,
like you know, fifteen games up against everybody, that is,
they had a little run, everybody else stunk whatever, right

(02:56):
in the hype train. They fell off a cliff in
the second half. They weren't good to start this year.
I mean, it's just they had a moment like this
is more of who they actually are. They didn't go
out and improve their offense at all, and we talked
about that, they didn't add any bats. They paid a
lot of money for pitching, and oh, by the way,
the pitching that they paid a lot of money for
has been hurt. Jack Flerity got rocked again. He sucks.

(03:17):
I believe Jack Flaherty has zero wins on the year,
zero and his ZRA is over five. So Jack Flaherty stinks.
Casey myiz who was actually pitching well, growing issue, so
that's an issue. So he's out obviously, and he's been
out before that. He brought in Kenley Jansen, who's been abysmal,

(03:39):
like I get it like, and I was talking with
Tony about that. He's like, well, they spent a lot
of money. Well, it seemed like they spent a lot
of money because they spent a lot of money on pitching,
and pitching has just completely killed them this year, whether
it be by injury or just by suckage, pitching has
been dreadful for them. So that's what did them in.
That was there. That's been kind of their death baseball wise, though.

(04:05):
There could be a salary cap, at least that's what
the owners want. They propose a salary cap for the
first time since nineteen ninety four nineteen ninety five. The
last time they proposed a salary cap nineteen ninety four
to ninety five, there was a strike. I thought they
were on strike. They went on strike, So best of
luck the base You can't tell these baseball players and
teams that have all this money they can spend it,
spend it, spend it, and then be like, no, just kidding.

(04:26):
Now you have a cap you can put on it.
Good luck with that. They ain't gonna take that. And
the same five teams that can spend all the money,
you're gonna go out and spend all the money. And
baseball's gonna continue to be competitively imbalanced. And you can
tell me, but all these teams are in the race.
They're in the race because they they try to balance
this by putting more teams in the playoffs. Half the
teams that make the playoffs, if not more, don't even

(04:47):
have a shot to win it. So give me a
break on that and rest in power. Claude Lemieux, Yeah,
what happened with it? He killed himself. According to ESPN,
he died by suicide. Oh the cow this. I thought
he was just on two the night before, the two
nights before they were honoring him at some other game,
I thought, yep. And then at least according to the
story I read on ESPN, Claude Lemieux killed himself and

(05:10):
who knows why? Uh uh, you know that's a physical game,
and he played a physical game. And anytime you hear
about a dude who's only sixty years old, former athlete
kills himself, you start getting those football thoughts and you're
like a wonder if that was the case. But uh,
legendary battles with Darren McCarty, legendary battles Chris Draper, that
whole era in the midnight, this whole documentary about it.

(05:32):
That's a whole our side for the Red Wings for
a long time. And now everyone has a thorn in
their side when you haven't made the playoffs and til
you actually they don't even have thorns in their side.
And where they're not good enough to have a thorn
in their side, you can't even get to the pricker bush.
There you go. This is Detroit's wheel.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Josh in this show.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
One of six point seven w l E. Detroit's wheels.
All of six point seven Detroit's Wheels. Josh in a show.
If you want to get with us on the text,
text the word Josh and your message to five one
on eighty one. Give us a little check in this morning,
let us know who's out there. Uh, text the word
Josh in your message to five one eight eight one.
Just let us know what's on your mind. You love

(06:09):
the show, you hate the show, You just hanging out,
you going to work? Let me know that text number
is five one eight eight one, and I need to
make sure it works. Text the word Josh in your
message to five one eight eight one. The phone number
is eight seven seven nine eight eight one O six seven.
We mentioned the Claude Lemieux died. Apparently he killed himself.
We will revisit one of the all time great Detroit

(06:29):
sports moments, one of the most memorable Detroit sports moments,
whenever Claude Lemieux came back to town after they hit
on Chris Draper. Yeah, this would be like my version
of like my parents nineteen eighty four Tiger. Yeah, this
was yours, this, this was mine, all right. So we're
gonna get into that. And I have a whole list
of stuff I want to bitch about today. Oh God, okay,
I'm in a mood today. Great, but it's it's legit stuff. Okay,

(06:53):
I got things I want to bitch about today. Not
a driver's it may have something to do with that God.
Other things you believe the man alone play and other things,
God and other things. It's all coming out. Listen to
the Josh in his show Anywhere Zeck Doubleullz as a
pre set on our free yard radio app. All right,

(07:13):
for coming up in sports, Claude Lemieux is dead. And
I did not know that you were such a big
nineteen nineties Red Wings connoisseur. But that was like my
peak sports fanaticsism or whatever you want to call it
might have been your only sports fanatics, much as pro wrestling.
And then so we'll get into that here in sports.
And I got a whole list of stuff to get into.
Things I'm just pissed about today. We may get to them,

(07:36):
we may not, but we will get to sports. That's
coming up. Good Josh in his show sports. All right,
let's see here, friends. So Claude Lemieux died. He killed himself,
according to the story I read. And of course every
time you hear a story like that, you're thinking maybe
concussions played a part. And the guy played hockey in

(07:57):
an era where dudes did not give a damn. There
was like hockey guys still don't give a damn, but
in the nineteen eighties and nineties they really didn't zero
as zero. That's given, right, and you were a big
hockey guy in the nineties. I didn't know this. I
guess every kid in Detroit kind of had to be
Oh yeah, well it was like the peak of hockey town, man,

(08:18):
you know, like it was the back to back and
all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
But yeah, like this game where McCarty slaughters Lemieux, like
that was a legendary game.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
Like this is not the norm of the National Hockey
League for a team to have a police escort on
the way to the arena. They are the Colorado Avalanche.
The reason for the escort is Claude lemu He's in Detroit.
Everybody's here to watch hockey and to watch this man,
Claude Lemieux. It has been in a very emotional day
a police escort when they arrived at three o'clock this morning,
the team were coming downtown, the police escort for the

(08:50):
arena extra security here. There have been threats called in
and obviously hoping that that's all that it is, but
he will be here tonight for the first time twice since.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
That was gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
They're like, hopefully that's all it's gonna be. Like somebody
was gonna snipelm you, but you had to hype it
up and get that. But I mean people hated the guy.
They hated the guy because they hit Andraper and all that.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Maybe one of the most, if not the most mutually
hated people in the city of Detroit.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
And then, of course Darren McCarty got to play hero.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
When you thought about something for a long time and
you see this face in front of you, and the
face that just you want to take a shot at, right,
and then all of a sudden, that face pops up
in front of you and you don't miss a beat,
and you pull back and hit him with everything that

(09:45):
you got.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
Get him. That.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
My friends, look at somebody in the eyes and hitting
him is.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
A cold guy's I like the definition.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Now have to find cold cockying somebody. God, I guess
when sports mattered in that way. Now I think sports
mattered too much in the sense that people just want
to fight with you on Twitter more than they really
care about whether or not their team wins or loses.
They just want to fight with you on Twitter about it.
People are in the moment, there's no cell phone. This
is nineteen ninety six, ninety seven, there's no cell phone,

(10:19):
there's no Instagram, Twitter, It's just you and all you've
got is the TV news telling you what's happening. You
got sports radio in the newspaper telling you what's happening.
You know you hate the Avalanche. You know you've got
one of the most dominant franchises ever, and you know
that they were at your city, and you know, the
guys who were on your team take pride in the
fact that they were at your city. Eric Scoogle, who

(10:41):
wants to make a little road trip around town to
take pictures at the Pistons game when he's gonna be
pitching for the Dodgers making fifty million dollars a year.
These were guys who, when they played here, you knew
they loved it. The fans were into it. You had
the posters, you had at all, and you were a
kid and it was the most important thing in the world.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Due every single like Redman's High Game around that era,
I had to be in front of the TV to watch,
or I would have to record it on a VHS.
Old old school, I mean, I'd go to work at
the grocery store, I'd come home and hoop in the game.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
That was on I miss I miss as a sports
fan or as a young kid. Really, I miss caring
about just the outcome of the game. I had no
idea what the salary cap was. I didn't know who
was getting paid what. I didn't care. It was like
simpler it was. I didn't go into a season as
a thirteen year old kid knowing how much you know

(11:33):
Miggy was making, or how much Darren McCarty was making,
or any of the contract drama. I was a kid
and I just liked to watch sports. That's all it was.
I didn't know if my team was supposed to be
good or bad. I didn't know the Vegas spreads. I
didn't know the over underseason win totals. I didn't go
to social media and fight with people. All I knew
was as a kid, I loved the Saint Louis Cardinals.
That was my team. I wanted to watch them play,

(11:54):
and if I had the chance to watch them play,
that was a good day. And I didn't live in
a lot of places where I could. When I went
to visit my family in Missouri, I could, so we'd
sit in front of the TV and I'd watch Maguire
bopping all the home runs. And that's before they had
all those game paggages. Dude, correct, dude, I was so
addicted to sports as a kid. I lived in Louisiana.
My favorite team was the Cardinals. They played games on

(12:16):
a radio station called KMOX, fifty thousand watt AM station
News Talk eleven twenty KMOX, you big station. At night.
You can pick up AM stations across the country. Like,
I mean, it's tougher, but I mean depending on where
you are. If you're in the right spot, you can
pick up fifty thousand wat AM stations because there's a
little inside baseball for you inside radio. But uh, the

(12:38):
other stations have to power down to protect these big stations.
If you're a fifty thousand watt station in Saint Louis,
you're grandfathered in. So if you're on that same frequency
in Paduka, Kentucky, you have to turn your power down
to like one thousand watts at night so you don't
interfere with that station. If that makes sex. Yeah, so
eleven twenty you can pick that up in we're in

(13:00):
the country at night. Sometimes it comes in and out,
but you can. Now it doesn't matter because you can
listen on the Internet and all that. But back in
the radio two thousand and two, young Josh is sixteen,
sitting in his dad's car. My dad would let me
take his car up and down the neighborhood until I
found the right spot to listen to the cardinals in
the car. I was a nerd. Still am a nerd.
I had a three hour conversation in the lobby with

(13:22):
our engineer the other day. Me and Randy just talked
about that kind of stuff. Really, if you say, what
do you nerd out over, Josh, I nerd out over
like am radio stuff. And I nerd out over old
movie theaters and malls and dead malls. That's my thing,
old department stores. I went over to the old Michigan Theater.
I was walking around downtown and wanted to see the
where the theater used to be in is now the
parking garage, but it's all locked up, like that's the

(13:43):
kind of stuff that I'm into. All that said, back
in those days, as a kid, you didn't think about salary.
Even with the salary capitalis. I didn't know what Albert
Pooholtz was making. I know when Mark McGuire was making
all I cared about, and you didn't care, and you
didn't flip between the game. If the game was on,
you know what, you watched the game. We had the
radio synced up to the TV. At my grandpa's house.

(14:06):
He had a radio in every room. So if you
walked and I guarantee you there are people listening right
now who had a grandpa like that, Where you walk,
no matter what room you went into in the house,
you could hear Ernie Harwell. I guarantee it. Any room
in the house you could walk in and you'd go,
I know the score because there's a radio in this room.
There's a radio in this room, and it is on
for the entirety of the game. And before it was

(14:26):
an InVogue thing to do. My grandpa had his big
ass stereo synced up to the TV. That's awesome. So
we listened to the radio broadcast over the television, so
there'd be a radio broadcast over the TV screen. And
that's what we did, and that's why that's what I am.
If you say, Josh, what are you a nerd about?
I nerd out over that kind of stuff. And just

(14:46):
like you and you were a kid, you had the
McCarty posters and you had you recorded the games. It's
not like that anymore, and it will never be that
way again, and that sucks because of all the social
media and people fighting on social media. Kids today trying
to be old man yells at Cloud. Kids today will
never know what it's like to just love a baseball
team or a hockey team or a football team and

(15:08):
not care about anything else. Like seven year old kids
are now fighting with people on social media about their teams,
telling you to go f yourself if you root for
the Brewers. Dude, I was on social media yesterday fighting
with seven year old Actually, know me, let me play
some music here. I've gone too long here. I apologize.
There's music that needs to be played, and I'm enjoying
this conversation very much. But I understand that many of
you would prefer to hear nine inch nails. But they say,

(15:33):
there are these people coming after me on social media
over the dumbest thing, and it's vile, Like like when
I was a kid, there was some vile things going
on about sports. You just love sports. We'll get into it, though,
So you might be the wrong guy to ask about
this because you're not, you know, deep into the sports world, right,
but yes, would you say that Claude Lemieux was arguably

(15:54):
the most hated opponent in the history of Detroit sports.
I feel like it. I'm trying to think of other exits,
like far not. But I guess any quarterback from the
Packers you could put in there, Rogers, I mean Rogers
obviously would be but that's more of a bear's hate.
I guess. Obviously there's Hail Mary, and I get all that,
But like I'm trying to think of other guys, and
clearly there are people that are hated. Now, if you

(16:14):
guys want to weigh in on this, you can text
text the word Josh and your message to five one
eight eight one. So, Claude lem YOUU died apparently killed himself.
You go back thirty years to the Avs and the
Wings and how epic all that was. Help me out here,
because again, I'm not someone who grew up here. So
I can tell you who I hate as a sports
fan from the teams that I grew up watching. But

(16:34):
I can't tell you. I can't tell you how you
felt about uh Hay, I hated the Entell your Avalanche team.
You love, you love McCarty. You hate the Avalanche. Who
are the guys? If you want to go Mount Rushmore,
you can go Mount Rushmore. That's fine too, but help
me out here. You can call eight seven seven nine
eight eight one oh sixty seven, or you can text
the word Josh in your message to five one eight

(16:56):
eight one. Claude Lumux has to be me. He's got
to be up there actually, because in the last thirty years,
for a whole generation of people like you, you're in
your early forties, all you knew was the Red Wings
being good. And all you really knew is that the
Tigers had a couple of moments, but you didn't have
the eighty four Tigers. The Lions have stunk for most
of your life outside of a couple of outliers. And
the Pistons had their moment with the with the going

(17:17):
to work Pistons, but outside of that you didn't live
good Pistons really and a brief moment. So really, the
one constant until the last decade it was the Wing
Remember a fraction of the bad boys, Yeah, you know,
but like as far as living the moment, you because
the last thirty years it's been a Red Wings town.
Up until the last decade where they've been a joke.
But like at that stretch a group of people who

(17:37):
are about your age, it was all like I've been
told this. Our eighty four Tigers are the nineties and
early two thousands wings Like that's for a whole generation.
So tell me this. Text the word Josh in your
message to five one eight eight one. I'd like to
know this right now, help me out. Claude Lemu rest
in power. Yes, Claude Lemieux. Is he the most hated rival,

(18:01):
most hated opponent for a Detroit sports team? You're a
sports fan in Detroit. Where does he rang? Is he
the most hated opponent ever? If not, who was somebody
that is born hated? There you go, let us know.
Text the word Josh in your message to five one
eight eight one. You can call eight seven seven nine
eight eight one oh six seven. Let's go. It's the

(18:23):
Josh Ennishell dig it Clado six point seven Detroit's wheels,
that is White Snake. Couple of texts here they were
asking if Claude Deru is the most hated opposing athlete
in the history of the city, the Claude Lamox, what
is it called Lemieux, claude, lemieux. What did I say?
I thought it didn't sound like the claude lemieux claude

(18:43):
lumm misheard. I'm sorry, but Claude lemieux, clode, clode, lemieux dude.
I like how we decide which guys are claude and
which guys are clothed in the hockey world. Like I
lived in Philadelphia, and at the time when I lived
in Philadelphia, Cloud Jeru was, you know, a guy who
was supposed to to be one of the best players
in the league. You know, it was a different way
to pronounce that name. It's kind of a try hard

(19:06):
way of doing it too, kind of like when you
get a white baseball announcer that tries to announce every
Hispanic name Hispanic like, so instead of saying, hey, that's
Eduardo Perez, it's like, that's EDWARDO Peyrez. Like I've never
met a guy who refers to himself as EDWARDO Peirez,
But on TV you'll get white announcer guy go, well,
that is EDWARDO pay Res. Like everybody sounds like Nacho

(19:28):
Leebre explaining to this guy is John Joe, bring me
some sway he's for fun, but Patrick Wah is a
close second. But yes, Claude was public enemy number one.
This just says, Josh, eat a bag of D's and
play more music. Thank you friend. Claude leapric is number
one hated. This one says ron our Test for the

(19:50):
malice at the Palace. But that was like a one
off thing, Like it wasn't like a long standing feud
with I mean, I get ron our Test and it
was to a degree, but it wasn't like meadow World peace,
thank you very much as his name. It wasn't like this,
you know what I'm saying, Like this was a different
level of hate. It was a long stand and then
you had that long wait to get the return and

(20:11):
then like it was look, hey, if you think ron
Our Test is the most hated guy, that's you. I mean,
I can't tell you how to feel, but I feel
like the vitrio all the people had for Lemieux was
worse than our test. I mean, hockey mattered more than
the Pistons, because yes, the Pistons had a moment again
in the mid two thousands, but the hockey was I
mean every year, it's like, hey, we think we're gonna

(20:31):
win the cop and it was. It was just a
different world. But all right, if you want to in
text the word Josh and your message to five one
eight eight one, you can call eight seven seven nine
eight eight one oh six seven. I saw the list
of like seven things I haven't even gotten to today. Wow,
will we get to them? Will? I don't know. We're
gonna see hy Detroit's wheels.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Hello, Good morning, Josh, morning James doing.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
Hey mister Dennis, good talking to you again. Yeah. I
grew up with uh listening to the Tigers on the radio. Also,
my grandfather always had it on the radio, and the
Hockey era with Claude Lemeux and everything.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
I used to just put the net out and put
my blades on and play street hockey. After the Red
Wings gained That's how I was the kid too. But
I couldn't skate, so I just Waane's world it and
I just ran around on foot. Hey, that's okay. That worked.
The car game on, Game on, that was my pulled
the net out of the way because there was a

(21:30):
car coming. That's exactly what it was like. All the
kids I lived around in Montana would get on skates
and everything, and I'd get out there on foot and
be like, guys, I can't skate. I'm a factor. They're
just making me play Goali. Then they let me run
around and then they kick my ass. Hockey good time boy,
The mid nineties Hockey, The Apex of Hockey, rest in Power,

(21:52):
Claude Drew Clode, Claude, Claude, Derux, Claude Lemue not said before.
That's what I did, not quad Deroux problem. All right,
So I'm going to give you the option to It's
going to be a choice for you. That's in your hands,
and maybe the listeners if they want to weigh in
on the text. One. I told you this big list
of things that I have written down to discuss. Yeah,

(22:13):
one of the three or one of the three men
in my life that always have a list of some
sort Jericho, Santa Claus and Josh. Yes, So I did
do that driver's test for Shelby Township. That's an option
for the conversation. Uh. I did get a response from
Southwest on my quest to get a voucher. Yes, we
have a local potential diddler who was thwarted. Oh boy,

(22:35):
we have got people dropping out of the American two
fifty celebration. What do they call it? Like the State Fair?
Freedom Fair? And then guy bulldozes or actually guy takes
excavator to house. Oh wow, when wife says she's leaving him.
Those are your options for the subject that we can
discuss here in a little bit. So, I mean, I

(22:56):
want to hear the two that I want to hear about. Okay,
driver's training okay and the Southwest Airlines. Those are the
two things that are going to make your life the
most miserable. Probably, That's what I want to hear and
laugh about. So if you want to text and text
the word Josh and your message to five one eight
eight one and let me know almost six point seven
Detroit's wheels, Josh in a show, all right, So if

(23:19):
you know, if you listen to the show at all.
A couple of days ago, I told you that I
didn't get here. I was supposed to be here Tuesday.
I didn't get here because Southwest Airlines told me that
my connection would not be able to be made because
of a delay. POD I let you leave the city
you were in. I was in Texas. I was in Houston.
They would not let me leave because they said, you

(23:40):
cannot make your connector in Nashville, and I said, I
can make my connector in Nashville. I'm like, look, I
get that we're delayed, but the weather is coming from
that part of the country. They're delayed too. I'm looking
at it on my phone. That flight that's supposed to
leave it whatever time it was, let's say five thirty,
it's not leaving until six. Now they're basically in lockstep
with us. Everybody's delayed the same. Correct I'm going to

(24:01):
make that and they're like, no, sir, we cannot let
you board that flight. You cannot do it. You cannot
you cannot leave Texas because you're gonna get to Tennessee,
and Tennessee is not gonna have a spot for you
because they would have already taken off. And then you're stock.
I'm like, well, then just just let me go. They're like, no,
we cannot let you board. So then I had to

(24:21):
find a new flight. Right So you're looking at them
pass going to Chicago. Oh yeah, I was like can
I Well, then, what's funny is they were willing to
let me fly somewhere where I'd have to get a
car to drive, like I'm trying to get to Detroit.
I'm like, is there anywhere I could fly to where
I could drive? So I'm talking Indeed in Chicago are
the two most realistic. But I'm like, I'm not gonna
do that. This is stupid. So they're like, all right, well,

(24:41):
we can rebook you for tomorrow. Fine. I'm like, can
I get a voucher because you're hosting me here, You're
hosing me because I can make that connection, and I
should have the right to determine whether or not I
can make that connection. Not you, not some lady behind
a desk at a computer. I should have the option
if I get stranded in Nashville. I get stranded in Nashville,
well that's my choice, that's my prerogative. So anyway, they.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
If they would have gave you a document to sign, like, hey,
if you get stranded in Nashville, you're not going to
come after us for any.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
Hotel or something, money or anything, that I would have
done it because I saw it on my phone that
I could have made it. I would have made the connection.
So ultimately, what happens is it cost me a day work,
costs you a day of work, and all this so
I get one of these vouchers. Apparently you don't call
people anymore or talk to somebody. You take a voucher
and you scan AQR code. Okay, so I scan the

(25:31):
QR code. If they asked me a couple of generic questions,
what's your name, what's your phone number, tell us your
flight number or your your ticket number, and uh, and
we'll see if it meets the criteria of getting a voucher. Okay.
So I don't get to call and explain. I don't
get to lay out what happened. I don't get to
lay out the fact that I watched it as my

(25:51):
as I was picked up by my buddies and taken
back to their place, like an hour away from the airport.
I'm watching that flight because it's still showing up on
my phone. I watched that Nashville flight land with plenty
of time to make the connection, and let's say it
was cutting it close. They could have gotten on the
intercom and said, hey, anybody who needs a connection right now,
get off first and go yeah, it's happened a thousand times,

(26:14):
then let me do that. But I would have made
the connection. So they cost me a day of work.
That costs you a day of work, that cost everybody. Okay,
but all I'm allowed to do is keep it vague.
So I hope you're gonna tell the Southwest I want
a vouch your too. Well, they won't give it to you,
and I'll tell you why, because I got an email
this morning and they told me Southwest intends to operate
our flights as scheduled. However, circumstances within and outside of

(26:37):
our control may cause a flight to be delayed or canceled.
We have reviewed your submission, which is literally just my name,
and I want a voucher because they don't ask you
for the details. The details matter, the story matters. We've
determined that your request, associated with your confirmation number is
not eligible for a voucher as your flight irregularity was
either outside of our control or resulted in a delay

(26:59):
of life less than three hours. Wait wait wait, wait,
hold up, it resulted in a delay of less than
three hours. You got delay the whole entire day. I
got delay to day. I had to take a flight
the next day. I missed my job the next day.
But they don't let you explain that. So I called yesterday.
I'm like, hey, what's my status? And they're like, well,
you're in the queue right now. Well do I get
to explain to somebody in more detail what actually happened. Yeah,

(27:21):
And the lady she was very nice, but she goes, no,
you don't. It's all digital. It's all that. So you
mean to tell me I can't pick up the phone. Nope,
And I can't call someone at Southwest and go hey,
by the way, I would have made that connection, thank you.
And by the way, you cost me a day of work,
and you caused my buddy a day of work. Then
I had to spend more money to stay at another hotel. Friend,
I you cost me all of this, Yet all I'm

(27:43):
allowed to fill out on a form is, oh, you
know I missed the flight because it was canceled or delay.
You didn't get any details. You didn't ask for any
of the circumstances. You didn't ask how it impacted me.
Some sort of fine print on your ticket that says
this happens. You suck Southwest, real talk Southwest, and if
you see this Southwest, I want you to know that
you suck. But hey, at least you get to pick

(28:04):
your own seat in your section. They don't do that anymore.
What that's design first they have as signed seats. Oh wow, Yeah,
that was the one perk that I enjoyed his help.
But yeah, you still have to board in these groups,
so like you're still like in group eight, so it
still takes an hour to get on the plane. Yeah,
but if I if I get the window seat first
in my group, I get that window seat so I
can lean up against it with the window down and
go to sleep. Well, and now you know you get

(28:25):
stuck in the middle. It still sucks. But all that said,
you didn't ask me why the delay happened. You didn't
look into the details. You didn't ask how it impacted
my life today. In Southwest Court is what you're saying.
That's what I like. I'd like Southwest to give me
a voucher. That's what you owe me, Southwest. Because it
wasn't just as simple. Who was out of our control.
You made a decision to determine that you're you're somebody

(28:47):
at that desk determined that you didn't think I'd be
able to make my connection. When I watched it on
my phone and I saw that I would have made
that connection. I want a voucher and not only do
I want a voucher, I want stock in your crappy company.
Now you owe me. I I'm owed multiple vouchers. I
want lifetime disc cough cookies. Pissing me off like it's

(29:11):
a joke. And I know I could have made the
connection because the Nashville was delayed too. Everybody was delayed. Yeah,
because the weather, as they explained, it was coming in
from the east. That's why the plane got to Texas late. Well, obviously,
if it's gonna get to Texas late because weather in
the east, in the middle of the country, then obviously
they were impacted to So screw you Southwest. Up your

(29:35):
nose with a rubber hose. Southwest. I don't like you.
I'm done with you.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
He's only flying strictly Spirit Airlines out WALKA WALKA.

Speaker 4 (29:44):
If you missed any of the Josh in his show,
demand on our free Iyard Radio.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Act one of six point seven w LZ. I did
get a text from somebody. He's be honest with you.
This text says, it seems like they change the format
and cut down your show to play more music. Need
it back to what it was. Well, I'm just gonna
let you know that ain't gonna happen. So I'm just
being honest. I'm not mad about it or anything, but

(30:10):
that's how it is. Like that's their call, and I'm
not gonna fight. I'm done fighting with people about stuff.
If people that employ you don't think that you're good
at what you do and they want you to do mothers,
that's fine, Like I don't care. So if you just
person texted and notice this and yeah, I mean that's
the reality of it. But I'm not going to fight
people on I'm almost forty years old at this point,

(30:33):
which isn't really that old. But you're tired. But I'm tired.
I'm his wi Fi. Ten years ago, I would have
fought and made a stink and got myself fight. I
just you hit a point where you're like, if they
don't think you're good at what you're doing, and they
think that free fall and is bad, then good. That's
They're the people that are paid to do that and
their jobs are on the line too, So I'm not
going to fight them on it. So they said, I've

(30:55):
talked a little long there, oh, but and I got it.
So basically, in the nine a clock hour, do you
want to hear the driver's test story, the potential diddler
that was thwarted, people dropping out of the America Trump celebration,
or a guy that took an excavator to his own
home because his wife was leaving him. That's a good

(31:16):
question you're asking me. I'm asking again. I'm gonna pull
a couple off the table. Okay, the whatever, the Freedom Festival,
I don't care. Yeah, that's not worry about that. That's
gonna rattut. Too many cages, get too many people fired
up over God forbid we do that. Okay. We've done
a lot of diddlers. Okay, and the diddler can be
you know, that could be putt in the in the can.
We can put the diddler and put the diddler in

(31:37):
the can. Yeah he belongs, and leave the other ones
open for a Okay. So it's either guy uses excavator
on his own home or driver's test store, my driver's
test story. You know where I'm yesterday. So that's what
we're doing here. If you get your votes in text
the word Josh and your message to five one eight

(31:58):
eight one, and we will do one of those stories
in the nine o'clock hour and a chance to win
two hundred and fifty bucks. There you go, and more
rock and roll. One of the saddest things I've seen is,
for whatever reason, there were minions up here. Yeah, okay,
they got a new movie coming out July first. Okay,
I see so millions and roasters, and I see a

(32:19):
minion walk by the door. I'm like, I'm a minion.
So I go out. There's multiple menus like the movie.
You don't see every day, that's for sure, And one
of the promo people comes in. I'm not going to
out this person for whatever reason, but it comes in
and goes, hey, would you guys be willing to take
a picture with the minions? And we're like yeah, sure,
They're like they really want to take a picture with Mojo,

(32:40):
but you do it. And I'm like, I guess we're
the only people left in the building. Casey wasn't here yet,
or he would have been all over like yeah, I'm
gonna get a picture with the minions. I would Yeah,
I got it, but so did I. I mean, why
not been Mojo like refused. I'm like, Mojo, go take
a damn picture with the minions. Like no, Mojo's not
taking a picture with me, And then the thing that

(33:00):
made it sad is these poor minions are just standing
out there, just waiting to talk to someone who mattered somebody,
and the out comes up like Hey, you're like, oh
the great, there's this this is fast Slot morning show.
This guy's play all those songs. N Yeah, sure, good

been listening to a book on they say on tape,
but like an audiobook. Yeah, I've been listening to the
Motley Crue book Dirt, which I've seen the movie version

(35:35):
of the book. Is actually interesting, like I means obviously,
I mean it seems all fake because the stuff they've
been doing is ridiculous in their lives. But it's a
pretty good book. If you've never listened to or read
The Dirt worth it, perhaps you should. I would advise
you to do so. It's pretty good. Some of big
Motley Crue guys. You know, let's at you, you book worm,
you I do. I listened to a lot of books
and it just wakes you know you're gonna be hanging
