Speaker 7 (02:31):
Church? You know, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
Question answer, he's already asked. He's asking questions, you know,
the question second second place thing. It got to be
pretty close.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
It's oh yeah, it's tied.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
You You and Anthony, Anthony, you and new We are
tied fifty one and thirty eight.
Speaker 7 (02:52):
Yeah, that's good record. The montree for is seven and
forty two.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Don't worry about I told you I'm gonna make it
look good at then, man, you saying boat him come.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
He never had to come back from nothing like that.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
About what you're talking about, he said, he make it
look good, man, as good as you wanted to look.
Speaker 10 (03:10):
Hey, why you so quiet?
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Though?
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Man, while you're so quiet and I'm letting everybody talk. Hey,
I picked Philly. Ain't no probub with that right over there?
I picked Philly. I thought I thought it was over.
I thought it was a lot of people did. I
thought it was over. Who knew Ibra Flues would come
out here and save to day? Who knew I Flus
(03:33):
to say today and from ceedee lamb dropping more balls
that they would go come out here and say him
too and say shoddy bad decisions. There's a whole bunch
of dudes who was doing what they could to go
ahead and lose the game. But the defensive nat I
got got the.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Weakest part of this team that we've been talking about
all season has been able to show up. And that's
where it's like, it's not coming over here to just say, hey,
let's give Ibraflus his credit. But like if I'm Jerry Jones,
like the big man upstairs, Oh that Foxhole looking good
right now, like what I gave him as tools, and
(04:08):
we've seen it not just against the bad team, but
Super Bowl Contendedcy Like it was nice.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Man.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
Hey, this is a game that they definitely needed for
so many reasons, you know what I mean, Not just
to have some type of hope to possibly squeak into
the playoffs, but like, like we've been saying, like this,
this is a game of I guess you could say
culture change or or anything to say that we're gonna
start trending. Cowboys gonna start trending in a different direction.
(04:36):
And like everybody's been saying in here, for that defense
to show up the way that they did, all right,
And it was all three levels.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
It was all three levels, you know.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
So you want to call it hope, you want to
call it optimism, whatever you want to call it.
Speaker 10 (04:50):
Right now, the Cowboys got the.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Ism, you know what I'm saying, Yeah, they got that
right now.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
With this one, you know what.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
You know what, Like I told y'all a long time ago,
I'm just a fan of good football. It don't matter
who's playing it. I'm just a fan of good football.
And so finally we're at a place here where it's
not like the mediocre stuff and everybody is so just
caught up in the hype of it. There's actually some
plays being made now and it's some proof to go
along with everything.
Speaker 7 (05:24):
That's a fact, man.
Speaker 8 (05:25):
And when we talked about this team, we talked about
it earlier in the weeks when you first one Wilson
that Wilson, Yeah, Logan Wilson and Williamson they came over
in the trades, and we talked about it just being
middle of the road. You ain't got to be a
top tier two thousand Baltimore Ravens type defense. You got
the offensive firepower to where if you're in the middle
of the road and you forced teams to go eighty
(05:48):
yards and score, not just having these big explosive plays
and all that good stuff. If you forced teams to
go eighty yards and really try hard to go out
there and score, your office is going to have you back.
And that's what they were able to do that second hand,
if I got to give big shout out to eber
Flues on this one because the halftime adjustments, you know,
going and a half, I mean they scored on the
first three possessions in Philadelphia, Eagle. It was just like
(06:09):
bang bang bang. And so we're sitting there like, man,
I'm on new y on this one. I'm like, man,
you know what, I'm over here at the game like
I'm about to go ahead and get home early. I mean,
but they were able to make those adjustments, stifle out
Saquon Barkley out there and try to make these Eagles
go to the long rate.
Speaker 7 (06:24):
And they got some turnovers in the second half.
Speaker 8 (06:27):
So the adjustments made to shut down Philly shut them
out the entire second half was huge because we knew
that the Dallas Copples had the firepower to score on anybody.
And you saw what George Pickens and them boys was
able to do. But shout out to that defense man.
The tackling was amazing and they were able to take
the foot.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Stay right there. Saquon Barkley ten carries twenty two yards
two point two yard average. And now you look at
the two games that they faced against the Eagles, now
four quarters or second half football, they've allowed three points.
There's three points, and that three all three points came
in the first game. And so whatever they would adjustments,
and you guys know, because you played what halftime adjustments
(07:04):
are and you've gone through them. Matt Eberflus for two
straight games against the World Champions has been on point.
Speaker 8 (07:11):
Yes, and and tackling like I was saying earlier, was
it was. It was like an art form out there,
the way they were tackling one on one in the
open field. Because Sakuon Barkley, in my opinions, one probably
one of the hardest guys to bring down in the
open field.
Speaker 7 (07:22):
And you saw the Marion overshown.
Speaker 8 (07:24):
Not once, not twice, but on multiple occasions, be one
on one with that man in the open field and
be able to bring them down. I mean that saves
the difference between a two and three yard game and
a fifteen to twenty yard game. I mean, to me,
it was outstanding what those guys were able to do
as far as rallying to the football.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
Man was bugging me out and thinking about it is
like we got young guys in the secondary who were
not able to participate in training camp, but they don't
seem to have any communication errors, They don't seem to
have any of these other issues that was going on
with the best that was actually playing a little bit
more when the.
Speaker 10 (07:55):
Season started off all right, So to say.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
That, and just like you said, Wilson coming in here,
being here two weeks doing being able to get guys
lined up there. It seems like the communication and and
and and everything that was going on as far as
with the mishaps in the beginning the season, whether it
be communication, scheme or whatever, the past.
Speaker 10 (08:15):
Two weeks, it don't seem like that's been an issue.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
So let me ask this just based on what you're
talking about in the secondary? Is it what Warren Sapp
always says, the back doesn't work without the front.
Speaker 7 (08:26):
That's what I's And.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Then they're talking about, you know, because Jalen Hurts talked
about the five man front giving them some issues here
and talking about how that was that made a difference,
and the Eagles admitting it that. Okay, I mean they
went the five man front, so they were able to
get the three defensive tackles Osodiggizua, Kenny Clark, and Quinn
Williams all in action. Plus they didn't have Lane Johnson.
Can't tell me that that didn't affect They took advantage
(08:50):
of that as well. So I so good on good
at once again, good on ebra Flus and Aaron Whitecott
d line coach to put something out there that made
Philadelphia a question what they could do. But shutting down
the run game that was in the past, that's how
you beat the Cowboys. Run the football on them. Jalen
Hurts was their leading rushing yesterday. And then just overall
here just checking the numbers, eighteen carries for sixty three yards.
(09:14):
That was total for Philadelphia total eighteen carries, sixty three yards,
three point three three and a half yard average, two touchdowns.
Both those touchdowns came from Jailen her too led the
team in rushing with seven carries and thirty three yards.
So from a running back standpoint, it was just simply
Barkley ten and for twenty two and Tank Bigsby won for.
Speaker 7 (09:32):
Eight man that's eleven carries total.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
Yeah, man, hey, But the flip side of that is this,
and we talk about this as defense players, y'all know this.
If you can play defense and run the ball all right,
And what were the Cowboys able to do yesterday? They
didn't stick to in that in that first game with Philly,
you know what I mean? They we were able to
Williams was able to run the ball all right, and
they stayed to it. And that's one of the things
(09:58):
that we talked about, how are you going to down
that D line in any kind of way and just
you know, hey, you got.
Speaker 10 (10:04):
To get physical with him. It was gonna have to
be some type of bully ball.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
And from what I saw and watching some of the
game again today, just watching the stuff that was upfront,
the D line was winning up front, you know what
I'm saying. And the offense line was predominantly winning up front,
you know. So you know, for me, I'm old school
with football, and like just watching how you know people
build teams, and he either has to start with the
(10:28):
offensive line.
Speaker 10 (10:28):
You gotta have a good, solid tackle, you know.
Speaker 5 (10:30):
And on the defensive line, you got to have good
d tackle or good end when you're building these teams.
And so just looking at the structure of it, I mean,
what don't the Cowboys have right now?
Speaker 3 (10:40):
So Joonte Williams twenty carries in the football game for
eighty seven yards, so average four point four yards solid.
Blik Davis three carries for twenty four yards in the game.
Hundred yards overall. And we talked about this. They needed
one hundred yards. They had one hundred and twenty five
or thirty thirty one rushes versus six passes for Dak Prescott.
(11:01):
I think that's the perfect symmetry what you're looking for
there in a football game. And then you compare it
against Philadelphia where they had Hurts throwing thirty nine times
and they only ran the ball eighteen. So if you're
able to take Philadelphia out of what they want to do,
especially looking at last year where they were so good
to running football that they were ineffective running the football
making Hurts throw the ball. And Hurts had what one
(11:22):
sack one interception on the flip side of the Cowboys,
Dak would just with one interception in one sack in
the football game. So they kind of even themselves out there.
But just what Shyty talks about wanting to be a
running football team, they established the run, so they up
front they did a good job. Now, Tyler Guidon's probably
going to miss the Kansas City game with a with
ankle right here. Just look at that. So but this
(11:46):
is football. You're going to have to figure it out.
Speaker 8 (11:48):
Yeah, and you know, thoughts and prayers hopefully he you know,
gets it, he gets able to heal up and he's
able to come back for.
Speaker 7 (11:53):
The last stress.
Speaker 8 (11:54):
But I'm gonna be real with you, man, that a
lot of those penalties in the red zone could have
been devastating, and they were all controllables. Leading with mister
d giton like I get number six, Come on, man,
you on the one yard line. You can't be false
starting bringing him back that The next thing you know
is an interception from blanket ship all right, because you
(12:15):
gotta throw the football.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
The tripping like there was no need.
Speaker 8 (12:18):
I understand, he got you off your rocky beat you man,
you can't stick.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
That's a fifteen year old penalty.
Speaker 8 (12:25):
Like these are red zone penalties that are all controllable
to where that would drive me crazy.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
After the season, it's going to be very interesting to
see what the Cowboys do In terms of looking at
the tackle position on the left and right side.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
It's not that interesting. I mean, you gotta get better,
like it's it's there. Like with the old you still
got some picks, you still got some wiggle room. And
with everybody upgrading right now in the middle of the season,
it's gonna I feel like it's gonna be an easier
task either, whether that's during free agency or going through
the draft and get somebody.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
In that first round.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
But y'all know me, I like to play devil's advocate
as much as we're going to talk about guiding in
those penalties.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Yes, a lot of those things are.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Controllable, but you gotta have that one, that one honey
badger on that old line that's going to do that.
Because in that same breath of saying he's gotten you
these penalties, he's also went out there and like has
some good reps against Max Crosby these other guys, like
and just bullying them and pushing them around to where
he is that physical, that physical specimen. Now that's where
(13:29):
I've been a victim of that where a coach has
to come and say, hey, man, I love the way
you play, I love you being nasty and I love
the violence, but you gotta control it a little bit.
And so I just think he needs that Vet, one
of the guys, Hoffman, one of the senters, a booker,
somebody to just say, hey, slow it down just.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
A little bit.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
But I'm not I'm not that mad. Like missing him
out there is going to be a blow to this
team regardless. Like, no matter how you want to say,
it because.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
We're getting down the road here though, Man, you're getting
down We're getting down the road here. So who's gonna
go second and third year? It's the second it's.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
His second year. He's still a young guy. That's what
I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
We're getting down the road here. Of Okay, I don't
care what year you are, man, you're the one why
we fall starting. That's this isn't This isn't hey man,
Jordan Davis locked me up and you beat me on
a on a move and he got me. Now, this
is something The pre snat penalties have been a big
issue for him. I mean, you look at this year
between Sam Williams and Tyler Guidon. These pre stamp penalties
(14:28):
have just been a problem. And here you are this
late in the year, now it's November and you're still
doing You're getting it the one okay, getting the balld you.
I mean, you know what's on the line with this.
You can't beat You can't do that.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
No, you can't.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
But that's why I'm saying, you can't do that. But
like you said, it's the end of the year. We'll
getting to that last final stretch. He's been here, he's
been productive. Yes, he's been the hindrance, but at this
point you gotta it's giving your limits. You gotta make lemonade.
So you got to have that vet that's not going
to come over there, and you know how it is
being in the locker om and there's a vet that
(15:01):
sits there and have the Barry Church approach where he says, bruh,
I'm tired of it, like when are you gonna stop
doing this? And maybe yell at you to where you
can't receive it. And then you also got that one
vet where it's like, bruh, you here right now. I'm
gonna tell you right now, this is like you said,
it's not about the game winning, trying to get to
the playoff regardless. The biggest thing is this end of
the year free agency.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
You need to build up your money and talk to
him in a different demeanor to try to get a
different approach where there's the vet a coach or.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
Something like that.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
But somebody has to grab him by the hands because
with him being out, I'm still nervous, like, who do
you really say that you're that comfortable with coming in
after him?
Speaker 3 (15:37):
All right, let's get a break in here, Barry Church
de Matremor Anthony Door said on New Stresslayer, we good.

Speaker 7 (18:56):
Guess who was a part of that.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Yeah, boy, your boy, your team. You're a pac Man Joe.
Speaker 7 (19:03):
Yeah, you know what I mean? Pac Man Pack man,
he was on, he was on.
Speaker 8 (19:07):
We did all the Bruce Carter with the NC what.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
Saint Louis ring call that?
Speaker 7 (19:12):
Yeah, I'm the team.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Up there anymore.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
No, Yeah, they got a bout of there.
Speaker 4 (19:16):
Of course, Saint Louis the largest comeback.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Yeah, it was real.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
That solute to you, man, that to your resume.
Speaker 7 (19:22):
That's why mister who was the Yeah, Tony was right,
Tony was out there.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Romo. Yeah, speaking about that, Tony Romo record was broken. Oh,
Dak Prescott has thirty four thousand, three hundred and seventy
year career passing yards to passes Tony Romo for the
most passing yards in franchise history. The other one he's
I mean, I mean, I mean yards.
Speaker 7 (19:47):
Troy half like thirty two right, like thirty two thousand.
He was somewhere there.
Speaker 10 (19:52):
He got the champion, he got, he got rings.
Speaker 7 (19:56):
He got the rings for show. For show rules were different. Yeah,
he was able to hit hit the quarterback.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
You were able to hit receivers.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Seven on seven, seven on seven, now.
Speaker 7 (20:08):
Man, Yeah, yeah, so you're gonna get those numbers.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
They've done everything they can to help legislate defense out football.
What kills me?
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Man?
Speaker 8 (20:16):
I know y'all watch a lot of football I gotta do,
But on Sundays when the quarterbacks get hit the whole
looking up at the ref complaint like begging for that
that I.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Mean, like you just begging, like what what's going on?
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Man?
Speaker 5 (20:30):
Like that's just horrible doing that a little bit too often.
It just like it as a player, it makes you
kind of like, look at that dude, like, come.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Come on, what are we doing here? You're begging for him?
Speaker 7 (20:42):
And Josh Allen do that all.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
The time, so I'm like, come on, come on, let's
not In the last decade, it's common with every quarterback.
Like you got your young quarterbacks that come in and
they they feel it. They're like, oh, I could do this.
I can run through people's faces and stuff like that.
About year three, year four, after they have like a
major injury or that realization that hey, I'm gonna make
the system work for me. It's just like, as a
(21:04):
Lebron fan, I'm not mad at him for going out
there and using the system that but put in play.
If Tom Brady laid the foundation and quarterbacks to go
out there and look up and I.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
Earned that right.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
If I'm Patrick Mahomes and all the Super Bowls that
I won and somebody hit me and the team over
here ain't doing this good?
Speaker 4 (21:20):
Help me? Please?
Speaker 7 (21:21):
Hey, I'm ah, it's just crazy.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
It is crazy as a defensive player, but as an
offensive player, I'm be.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
Like, what do you say? You said it right, Lebron, Okay,
I'll take it to step.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
This is we all know New is a hater, but God,
as a I'm not.
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Agreeing with that.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
As a player, we know how it is when you
go into that training camp moment and you finally earned
your stripes to get somebody up off that table. Hey, no, dog,
don't get your ankles tape right now. Like I've been
waiting on this. It's been three or four years in
the making. Did you not go in there and get
them about the table?
Speaker 10 (22:00):
You know? I guess I know you did.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
I was about saying I know you did very so
I want to hear about ad You was in the
era where events really had that respect of like they
looked at somebody and you moved because they earned that right.
Are you really mad that they earned that right and
they're playing the system that was created for him?
Speaker 5 (22:19):
Hey man, you know, if that's the type of person
you are. That's that's how you move, you know what
I'm saying. Everybody, everybody don't move like that like that,
you know what I mean. So like I knew about,
you know, fortunately coming up the way that I grew
up my dad playing ball. I knew about the rookie
and thing and all that other kind of stuff and everything.
I say that, So it was just kind of like
their approach to it. But getting to what you're talking about, like, hey,
(22:42):
there goes to say something. Patrick Mahomes was not that
dude all his life, you know what I'm saying. And so,
like you said, once you get there and you feel
like you've afforded that in some kind of way, then yeah,
you know that's that's that's on you, just in particular.
Speaker 10 (22:56):
Everybody doesn't have to operate that way.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
Just because you have those graces don't mean that you
actually got to be like that, you know what I mean.
Speaker 10 (23:03):
And so it don't matter what y'all think, Like I.
Speaker 5 (23:06):
Disagree with the dude that six eight, two hundred and
sixty five pounds flopping you know in any of that,
No know what I'm saying. And the one thing about
it is this, like we have seen and like you know,
thank god we can't get fined for this, but we
have seen moments we're seeming like the officials were actually
helping the Kansas City Chiefs out or say, a team
(23:27):
like that. You has that type of quarterback, whether it
be the Tom Bradies or whoever. And you know you
wasn't with that when you was playing the game.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
No, right, so I wouldn't. And I'm not saying that
I'm with I'm just saying I understand it. I hate it.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
You co signed.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
If the system works, makes the system work for you. Man,
I'm not gonna be a dummy and work harder.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Sign you know you hear about.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
No, I'm not about that. I'm not about that. That's
different me as a competitor. I moved different. But also
I'm not gonna hustle harder when I could do this.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
You're there for the flopps.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
No, because I tell you like this.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
I'm not saying that I've done it in my career,
but we all know some defensive players that you're going
to get some hurry up offense and oh I got
a crap real quick to slow it down.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
So you was cool with gutting in Las Vegas last week,
falling down.
Speaker 4 (24:15):
You got, I think he got hit like that.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
For him to be so physical and get all these
rough these these personal files, I'm like, bro, I thought
he was gonna hit Buddy in the head or give
him one of those Deacon.
Speaker 7 (24:28):
Jones definitely flopped crazy.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
That was crazy.
Speaker 5 (24:30):
Wasn't nobody behind it? Because he damned could have hurt him,
He could have felt about it.
Speaker 3 (24:37):
That's not down with that, Okay, I'm not gonna have
a VET go talk to him about.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
I'm gonna have a yeah, because I want the team
to win. I'm gonna have a VET go talk to him.
But I'm also still gonna make my jokes about it too.
I was that guy, all right, get your jokes there,
no doubt, no doubt.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
Anybody want to talk about.
Speaker 8 (24:58):
Yes, Lamb and I would love to dive into the
whole Turpen situation. And to me, I think this is
more on the coaching staff than anything offensive. Like you
said earlier in the show, flues had to save the defense,
had to save this team. And offensively, you know they're
led by Shyna right him and Clayton Adams right o season,
(25:20):
they go out there and put these game plans together
and make sure everything's right. But they easily could have
thrown that game away in the first What are you
doing on the first drive and your territory?
Speaker 7 (25:29):
I don't care if you're on a fifty yard line
or your territory.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
It's fourth and couple three. What are we doing? Why
are we going for it? Getting no points?
Speaker 8 (25:37):
You pin them deep, forced the Eagles to drive eighty
some of yards and see if your defense can sand up.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
It's the first series of the game.
Speaker 8 (25:44):
I get being aggressive and believing in your offense and
all that. I get all that, But there's a time
and the place, man, not only on your side of
the football field. The very first drive of the game, boom,
you give up a quick seven just like that.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Secondly, what are we doing?
Speaker 8 (26:00):
You have a guy named Javonte Williams in the backfield,
all right, one of the leaders rushing in the National
Football League or in the NFC.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
You take him out the game.
Speaker 8 (26:10):
You said, you know a come here, let me come
sit by me on the sidelines, known for running downhill,
running between the tackles, punishing defenses. You take him out
the ball game and you put in a guy that's
with five to seven a buck sixty to run up
the B gap and see gap like that, to me
is just what are we doing? I can see a reverse,
I can see a screen, I can see some type
(26:32):
of pitch player to get him on the outside and
get him in the space.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
But you're gonna run that man in the middle of
the offensive line with Jalen Carter knows cats and what
does he proceed to do?
Speaker 8 (26:40):
Trips, nobody touches him, trips over his own feet, and
fumbles the football after you don't got after you donet
got the ball back.
Speaker 7 (26:48):
That to me was mind blowing, and it's just I'm
just what are we doing?
Speaker 8 (26:53):
That's not the only you know, male practice saw offensively
from from the from the coaches tack, That's what I saw.
I'm putting this on because it was their decision to
bring turping in the ball game and do that. It
just blew my man. We're not even gonna talk about
the fourth and goal. Game tied, last couple of minutes
of the ball game. You got a chance to take
the lead, but you want to go forward on fourth
like this could be This could have been one of
(27:15):
the ugliest mondays.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
It was foolish. It was so foolish.
Speaker 8 (27:18):
It could have been one of the ugliest Mondays in
Cowboys history because you had the defensive performance and you
want to throwd away by doing some of the most
egregious things that I've seen in football like that.
Speaker 7 (27:27):
That that made no sense to me.
Speaker 5 (27:28):
Thank god that, uh, the game turned out the way
it did exactly. You know, we had it was a
few drop balls out there again as well.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
CD lamps. He had about three for the second straight
game against phil.
Speaker 10 (27:41):
And these aren't these these And granted, I've never.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
Been a professional wide receiver, but I have played professional football,
and we was always brought up on this thing. If
it touched both of your hands.
Speaker 7 (27:51):
It's supposed to be yours.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
All right, it's supposed to be your catch now, granted,
you know. And there was a testdown that I remember,
you dropped came right through there basket just everything was
hitting his hands, you know. But then after every after
every drop, you know, like it's like some complaining or
something going on. And I don't know if he's upset
with himself and he's talking to himself or he's actually
like frustrated with the ball placement or whatever. But regardless,
(28:17):
you got two hands on that thing. And then we
talked about it like we if anything, we thought that
that man would be on his game for retribution from
the last game where he didn't perform the way that
he probably wanted to. So that being said, man, yeah,
like the defense, it showed up major yesterday in a
lot of different ways.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
This was a problem that they've got to look at.
Here is they get ready to face the Kansas City
Chiefs in terms of what's going on with Ceedee Lamb
catching footballs here? And Cavante Turpin? How do you use
him because the b gap?
Speaker 7 (28:51):
What are we doing?
Speaker 3 (28:52):
If these were some some critical, critical errors that they
were able to escape from because the defense finally came
around and helped them. So the Cowboys good opportunity to

I'm good.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
We're in the house. The Kansas City Chiefs coming to
at T Stadium, say three thirty pm kickoff. It will
be on CBS, which means Tony Romo is in the house.
Me old Tone players Barry Church, Demontray Moore and Andy Dorset.
All three of these gentlemen played the National Football League.
I'm new he Scruggs. Who has the conversation with Brian
(32:12):
SHOTTEI does that come from Steven and Jerry? I mean
who talks to him? Is it guys coaches? Stabby who
comes to him and just says, hey man, we won
the game. Some of what you call here is it
a player? I mean, what what what?
Speaker 4 (32:30):
What?
Speaker 3 (32:31):
What?
Speaker 4 (32:32):
This is?
Speaker 7 (32:32):
Where?
Speaker 2 (32:33):
This is where the player come in? Shoddy coming from
that Pete Carroll Tree. I'm gonna keep bringing it up.
He's a player coach like the players are going to
talk to him like I think it comes from a
better place, especially in this organizational Historically you always heard
from Steven or mister Jones and stuff like that, like
let your team win, let your coaches actually, coach, now
(32:53):
that you done finally got an offense that's rolling with
Dak him and that having that connection ebra Flus and
his tools, It's gonna take the players like that to say, hey, coach,
we won, but how can we be better? Remember the
first two people in the building are number four and
Quinton Williams. Those guys coming in saying, hey, we won,
but how can we be better? And I think the
coach is going to respect it more because it's like,
(33:13):
you're the guy that's actually out there in the fire.
Speaker 10 (33:16):
Yeah, I mean self scout.
Speaker 5 (33:18):
We talk about that, and that's one of the ways
that as an individual player and as a team that
you're actually going to get better, faster and improve. And
I'm sure them breaking down that film amongst themselves as coaches,
like they're probably sitting back like, yo, hey we got
lucky here, we dodged the bullet here, and everything else
like that. So I think that that's that accountability will
(33:38):
play on it itself. But then at the same time,
you know, like, yeah, there are going to be some
players to say like, Okay, in this situation, next time,
maybe we could try something like this, you know, instead
of doing that and that is that feedback that the
coaches need anyway from the players, and that's the same
thing that the coach that the players need from the coaches.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
So hopefully moving forward, yeah.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
That communication will get done, but I believe that that's
going to come from it side, and those coaches are
going to take accountability for that.
Speaker 8 (34:02):
Yeah, you guys are both one hundred percent correct. I
mean when it comes to the self scouting as a group,
you know, and the coaches go down and watch film,
they're gonna definitely sit there and say, Okay, maybe you know,
I kind of overlook this one here, Maybe I shouldn't
did that adjustment there. And when you talk about Dak
Prescott going into there and having those conversations, I think
he's earned the right as far as being a player
and outstanding player these what past nine ten years that
(34:22):
he's been in the National Football League to where him
and coach are like, you know, basically he's an extension
of the coaching staff on the football field. So they're
gonna go, hey, what do you like about this? You know,
what do you like about that game plan? And they're
gonna be you know, all those meetings together breaking down
film to seeing how they can get better offensively and
take take advantage of what they have on the outside
as far as the offense.
Speaker 7 (34:40):
So I agree with both of you, gentlemen on that one.
Speaker 3 (34:42):
Big props to Elijah Clark.
Speaker 7 (34:45):
That was awesome, Yes, sir, that was awesome.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
Three phases of football.
Speaker 7 (34:49):
That was big time.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
It could take us through.
Speaker 8 (34:50):
And he played the gunner position, saying, as y'all all
know you, you played the gunners. So I'm gonna let
you break down the actual play and I'll just talk
about what I what I seen out there, But that
was an outstanding Play's that's what you talk about dog mentality.
That's the type of guy that you want to, like
you said, having your foxhole all right, and from what
I've seen right there, and I'll let you take it
away after this is those are the type of plays
(35:12):
where down the line that'll have your special teams coordinator
standing on the desk for you. Those are the type
of plays that, hey, man, you know, do we have
enough room on the roster for Clark? And that's when
that special team's codinator is gonna get on the table
and is like, you know, I don't care what y'all
talking about this is the guy I need all my
special teams. That's the guy I need as a core
special teamer, just having that dog mentality.
Speaker 7 (35:32):
That fight, that not wanting to give up.
Speaker 8 (35:34):
And he made the play after getting beat up the
entire way down the football field. Made the play one
of the biggest plays in the national or in that game.
So for me, it was outstanding. And like I said,
those are the type of plays that is special teams coordinator. Man,
he'll go to bat for you because you because you
showed that type of mentality.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
For him, big facts and just not even just showing
the mentality at the time, this was this was that
moment of youth saying playing complimentary football. You had offense
doing their thing over there thatk reviving the offense, you
had the defense doing what they're doing, and in with
a Philadelphia team that finds a way to win, you
have to play complete football. And for it to be
(36:11):
a play made by a rookie, that's where he earned
his stripes.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
Right there where the.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Vets are gonna say, Man, can we get him in
on defense because like you said, I played gunner. Now
playing that gunn and position on punt you have to
go down there, it's dangerous. Like I was fortunate enough
to be a big gunner, so when I went against
two DB's, I can be a little physical, but with
guys like yourself that are going down there and you
got two men hitting on you, and then after that
to get knocked down not once but twice and look
(36:37):
like you lost in the play. That is relentless dog
fact that you to go down there track the ball
and then have fundamental talcle and put your face on
the football right there in the fourth quarter, like that
revives everything that earns your respect. That's what takes guys
from being the undrafted and low pick guy to evolving
to being Barry Church and getting paid by somebody else.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
And so he in my opinion, he's the one that
won the game.
Speaker 2 (37:03):
Like when we talk about yetti, cool cup people or
people any cool customers, your cool customers and the X
factors in the game, Elijah made himself that X factor
by doing that, Like that was what the fumble happened
inside the twenty.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
And Trent Sieg this long snapper recovered. I tweeted out
at Newly Scruggs an w y S c R U
G g S. But you see how Clark is getting blocked.
He falls down, he gets back up, he keeps running,
He makes the hit, launches the ball free see recovers it.
It was outstanding and just looking at it. So you
look at the depth chart here he is Donovan Wilson's
(37:42):
backup that safety, and you start to think about inactives.
Everybody on the roster does not get a beautiful tober.
So it was a healthy scratch. And so when you
start thinking about we're keeping guys where they said, no,
we'll keep Jonathan Mingo and Mingo talked about how he
had to go play some special team. He got like
(38:02):
Clark is playing great special teams. We know C. J.
Goodwan is going to be out there for his special teams.
This is how you stay on the field. And this
is how you said you guy like Jayalen Tolbert man,
he sat there in that salute the service sweatshirt. Did
have to watch the.
Speaker 7 (38:14):
Game and I sweat. I've seen him lead the living room,
didn't have to take a shower, nothing.
Speaker 8 (38:19):
To just.
Speaker 4 (38:21):
Dirty Mac churchtrikes eight.
Speaker 7 (38:25):
Man.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
I'm just saying it's a dirty back player like that
man trying to beat that traffic.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Yeah, you got to Hey, what he said, what you
find that on that shower pill that you just took.
Speaker 4 (38:41):
If y'all don't know what a.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Shower pill is, lady and gentlemen, that's when you were inactive,
you didn't sweat and you say, hey, I'm going in.
Speaker 4 (38:48):
There and pop that pill on at the line.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
That ain't the only time they pop it.
Speaker 4 (38:51):
Yeah, it's some people that play in the game.
Speaker 5 (38:53):
And take that shower Pilly, I.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
Got my family and tell how I got company.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
I gotta get out of here, smell still smelling like
mouth piece and on the way home.
Speaker 10 (39:07):
Like now.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
Bill Parcells used to call them e r W What
was the e r W eat ride warm up?
Speaker 7 (39:15):
That's what they Just a bunch of e r ws.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
That's I think that might be worse than a jack bag.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
That might be worse than it is.
Speaker 3 (39:28):
Just the guy, you know, you need just guys, some guys,
just guys on t But he used to say, man,
got no use for the e r W man eat
ride war. More so so when when the enactors came out, Man,
that's what we in the me and the e r ws.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
That's like, oh dude, man, Bill was a bad man boy.
Speaker 14 (39:47):
R W that I know, but I'm just saying it's
a lot of the men in black over the the
E R W. That would be that's the world right there,
man now, but at least get him the sloop circuit.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
You got the fresh check, still cash, you got some.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Friend that your pride, your pride, whole.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
Family out there came family circles, you know, like so
for instance, I mean, it's a pretty interesting thing. So
if you got like toward you didn't dress this week
Thanksgiving week, you know, your family buys tickets and get
you got to book this stuff, you know when the
schedule comes out here, so you.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Know, but you better you better be a smart man
at y'all say that house, y'all get some of that turkey.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
I mean, so how did you guys do? I mean,
if thanks Giving games your family are what came? Whole family?
Speaker 7 (40:37):
Can right? You have people?
Speaker 4 (40:42):
It was it was it was immediate people.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
If if I knew I wasn't playing, I saved it
and told them he I'm goa make sure y'all got
some real nice food at that.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
Okay. So if you're like like Tobard, you just found out.
Speaker 2 (40:52):
Yeah, you handle something. Y'all sit at the house. I'm
gonna have a nice good chef over there. Y'all sit in,
you know, enjoy the amenities of my proper because why
would you spend thousands of dollars? Because those tickets are cheap,
especially if you want them in the family section. That's
what three hundred and fifty when I was playing, So
five people come.
Speaker 7 (41:12):
Over, can you sell them?
Speaker 3 (41:13):
Like if you already bought it?
Speaker 7 (41:14):
Like that you already bought I'm not sure.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
I think that rule up, So I'm slow to this.
Speaker 5 (41:21):
So y'all had to pay ticket price that the ticket
prices on the ticket price as well for your family.
Speaker 8 (41:28):
I want to say, yeah, you got two for the free.
After that, yeah, you're getting charged of the game.
Speaker 5 (41:33):
I don't know what you you they y'all pay everybody's
ticket price. Y'all don't get a discounted ticket price, discount.
Speaker 4 (41:41):
No discount, double checks, none of that. You're sitting over there.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
Now you go to secondary market, it's gonna be much higher.
So what gets Damn they don't get it?
Speaker 5 (41:50):
Play like you get you a player, you're gonna get
like fifty twenty percent off or anything.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
I'll tell you like this when because I was from Dallas,
and I had to go get it and a lot
of people was coming over.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
I got my free tickets.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
I asked the guys who didn't have family that came in,
can I please have your tickets? But I went to
that party pass right there? What fifteen ten dollars? Fifteen
twenty dollars? Hey, y'all stand up right there, and y'all
just rotating and out of the family section.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
Y'all had on you in in a standing section.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
If you wasn't my immediate family. Yes, yes, yes, bro.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
I want to what fifteen dollars and what.
Speaker 4 (42:24):
It was like?
Speaker 2 (42:24):
I think my mom said it was like twenty five
dollars for the part of the standard section. Yes, bro,
First of all, this is gonna tell me if you
love me and you truly and you truly support me, Like, yes,
