Hello is the PG version is the PG thirteen versions,

Speaker 2 (01:54):
You just sit over there and behavior yourself and don't
do anything that's gonna get us in trouble with the
very alphabet government, a federal government bodies that oversee this
fabulous program. Let's let's I mean, look, there's two major
issues we got to get to today. Let's start with
the first one, which is that numerous media outlets across
(02:17):
Central Indiana, State of Indiana our reporting abdul what we've
been saying for months now, which is that a grand
jury is looking at sixteenth Is that when we started
saying that.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Yeah, because that is when we had our interview with
Aaron Sheridan, the former special advisor the government to Lietend
the Governor m could Beck with on our program, and
we kind of talked about what was going on and
about possible go some ployments, some other things, and next
you know, then we were wrong. We're fake news. No
one listens to WBC aymar and blah blah blah blah.
(02:50):
The next thing, you know, imagine that our grand jury.
We were right. And here's a scary thing. We're both
right about the exact same thing. So know that's not
going to end well for people.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Well, yeah, like the okay, so headlines are that a
grand jury is indeed looking into the office of Lieutenant
Governor Micah beck With. According to the Indie Star other places,
it relates to ghost employment and artificial intelligence pornography.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, which are.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Basically the things that we said, because okay, Jim, almost
start with you and then I'll go over abduel. This
was always so ridiculous to me because it's not even
the issue of whether they're looking into it or not.
It's that everybody knew this is going on. I know
multiple people who have talked to the Marion County Prosecutor's office,
and the idea that the Mica beck With the Lieutenant
(03:34):
governor did the me so stupid routine. And not only that,
but then they were basically trying to be little anybody
who was like, this is going on. We're not saying
anyone's getting indicted. We're not saying anyone's getting convicted. We
simply said it is patently obvious this is taking place.
It's another example of him being deceptive and dishonest.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
And this just got serious. I think that there's gotta
be more eyeballs on this, more chatter about this.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Now.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
It's been very other than you two, it's been very,
very quiet, and the governor ought to be concerned, should
be concerned. Lieutenant governor has to be in that bucket.
And I think that Republicans around the state, and you know,
we talk about I talk about the Central Indiana bubble,
(04:28):
the fifteen to twenty two counties that we hit.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
That bubble just got a whole lot bigger.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
I think that bubble just burst. And I think this
is very, very serious. And I and I'm not I
don't know how to predict or or even have a
crystal ball, but indictments could be coming, who knows. But
it's just it's just a you know, you know, being
(04:58):
a being a deep red state. Uh that may just
uh we are doing we Republicans are. You're we've been
on easy streets.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
You're you're your own worst enemy.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Yes, and and this is how this is how you
topple yourself. And I'm very concerned as a as a Republican,
and I think many of you out there should be too.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
You know that that's again what's ridiculous to me, if duel,
But looking into this, it doesn't mean anybody did anything.
But when you can't even be honest with what everybody
knows is going on, you just say, what else are
you lying to me about?
Speaker 3 (05:36):
And instead of uh doing that approach if I Rebecca
always said, it was like, no, what we don't We
don't believe we did anything wrong. We never intentionally did
anything wrong. We welcome this investigation to clear our name.
We're fully willing to cooperate with whoever law enforcement, legal
authorities that we need to cooperate with. That's all you
got to say. And that's it. But that's not Maca.
Beck was saying. Maca has a combative personality. No, has
(05:57):
that sort of music man wants to show off and
all the with the pompa do and slick hair and
all the other fever fever promaswami look and all that
other crap. It's okay, fine, but but here's the thing.
When you, when you spend your days making a living
point out the moral shortcomings of other people, do not
be surprised if that stick that you throwu people eventually
turns into a boomerang. And that's what this has done.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Well, no knowing that rob the the the idea of
having of Micah actually having a safety net. Uh, it's
like quicksand to mix metaphors there because uh, he's got
friends in the legislature, but they're they're it's not a
robust army. And and in politics you need your friends
(06:38):
to catch you, and I'm just not sure that they're there.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
I would say at this point he has his friend
in the legislature, not friends.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Well you make my point.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
Oh okay, so ed And it comes back to now
everything else you start questioning, right because he was just
just so aggressive, you know, when he would get asked
about this, and now it goes back to hey, things
like how did you end up at Game three of
the NBA Finals with a high profile known felon You
(07:09):
can't tell, you know, tele acoherent consistent story on that
the car. We caught him in numerous lives about the
taxpayer funded car. Like it's just it's it's all of
this stuff that you say, you know, you just can't
get a straight answer from this guy. And then it's
always the pattern to it. I saw this yesterday with
the grand jury stuff where the Micah Orbit people immediately
(07:31):
blocked to well, it's because of his faith. Well, they're
coming after him because he's outspoken. Well I didn't know
they're looking into this, and and they're looking into this
because they, being the Marion Kenny Prosecutor's office, at least
maybe on some level they have seen information related to
how that office was conducting itself that they want to
(07:52):
get more information on. That's it like that, You're not
a victim here. This is big boy, adult blood politics,
and in this case, it's related to how you're running
your office.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
And another part of this too is uh. And I
have to say we here at the WBC archives, we
can go back and find the interview that Michael did
with Hammer and Nigel that day that the week the
story broke, because I think it was like a Friday, Yeah,
and he went on and how we were wrong and
fake news and blah blah, no one reads the cheet
sheet and as all crap and blah blah, blah blah.
(08:24):
I would love to go back up, but I'll take
famous last words for one hundred, mister Trebek.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Well that you know the defense that you were talking
about and in resorting to faith, that's so weak and
and uh and Abdul's right to come across and said
you will co operate, and you know, uh, the the
Marion County Prosecutor we know is an incredibly powerful office,
(08:51):
and but we we and we also know that we
throw a lot of bricks at that office because of
crime and Marion County. But they would not be doing
what they're doing if they if there wasn't fire behind
that smoke.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Because when you I had to say, I don't know
like you, this term go after an elected official. But
when elected official is the subject of an investigation, a
whole nother different ball, different work works. Protocols take go
into effect to make sure and particularly when when he
got a Democratic prosecutor, but a Republican, a publican elected official,
and a state wide elected official at that So I
(09:25):
would I would guarantee you that Ryan Meres right now
is dying all his eyes and crossing all his tee's
and if they do come back with some type of
indictment is going to be air tight.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
But they kept up the bull crap even in this
Indie Star article. So his spokesperson, I mean, they just
never like this quote active grand juries are confidential. Therefore
the office has no knowledge of any of this. Stop
yes you do. Clearly the Indie Star had knowledge of it.
There's documents that they got. Here's the documents. Stop acting
(09:57):
like it's you, it's your office. I know people. Micah
has mentioned it too. That's the other thing. There's a
whole bunch of people that are just sick of his
crap and all they got to earn a living, and
they got to, you know, exist in the orbit of
politics down at the state House. They're not. They're sick
of it. And and yet you know, here's another example
(10:18):
that was great. I think it was with Hammer and Nigel,
or maybe it was with Woa. I can't remember. Maybe
it's both. He tries to deny that he knows who
Tom Labianco is, the guy who initially broke the AI
porn story, and Labyanco is like, no, I spent a
whole day with the guy, going around the state in
his car with him. And then he tried to claim, oh,
(10:40):
he being Micah, I found out about the I porn
story from Lobyancle. Lobianco's no, he told me he found
out for some guy in the Treasurer's office. It's just
like he can't keep his he being Micah, can't keep
his story straight because he told so much bull crap.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
If you are going and when I go so far
as I said that mister beckwith lied. I will say
that his statement is inconsistent with the facts. However, if
you are going to lie, it helps if you tell
the same lie consistently, right and over and over and
over again, because see, that's that's funny. Truth is kind
of a funny thing. You have to remember it. That's right, right, right,
And you know, in the coming days. And I don't
(11:15):
see much of this right now, but it'll be interesting
to see you if if the Republican Party comes forward
and and and and protects Micah or or is is
he on his own being a being a Republican and
somebody that was in a chairman of a county organization.
I'm stunned at my own behavior here that I'm not
(11:38):
saying that you know, he's innocent, he's innocent, or you know,
the office is innocent, because you know, you got to
look at the tea leaves and and that's what I did.
And and right now it's very difficult to defend him.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
All right, Well, let's move on to the next, uh,
the next part of the program. F W Yeah, okay,
So and don't read that proble cause affidavit. Well, look,
I think we would be remiss if we didn't mention this.
I don't think the things are in any way connected,
but obviously I think it's a story of duel. You
did an interview yesterday with Tom Labianco about this that
(12:16):
Nathan Peter Now, who is the lead pastor at Life Church.
In full disclosure, I go to Life Church now that
it's a big it's a big church. There's campuses all
over central Indiana. I go to Eagle Creek. They're very
disconnected in terms of like Micah doesn't exist at the
Eagle Creek k Like all this stuff doesn't exist where
I go. So I want to kind of get people
(12:36):
a background on this, but I just wanted to put
that out there. But Nathan Peternell, who oversees all the
campuses at Life Church, his son was arrested. His adult son,
twenty four years old, was arrested related to pedophilia, child pornography,
various charges and the problem cause affidavit is horrible. It's
(13:01):
it's horrific, really bad about what this guy is alleged
to have done.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
I lived in Europe for four years. I'll see some
really weird stuff. This is like I can't look at
this anymore. Yeah, and so now I and this is
we get into this. I don't know if this is
fair or not, because look, I want to try. While
I have very strong feelings about Micah, I don't think
you get in any way not indict not in a
(13:27):
literal sense, but but hold a guy accountable for something
that So Nathan Peternell was a is a very close
friend of Micah beck With. He hired Mike at Life
Church where Mica is is a pastor, still a pastor,
even as he's serving his lieutenant governor and his advisor.
They're very close. People are trying to link this together.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
I don't think that's necessarily fair because you can't. You
can't always even hold people accountable for what their kids do,
much less the kid of a friend.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
Of yours, you see. And I agree with you with
that to a point. However, here's where I think the
beck With the Beckworth has a role in this. MICHAEH.
Beckworth has made a living when he was on the
Hamilton County Library Board about you know, these are interproperate books.
They're grooming people and lgbt P and all this, and
they're doing all this grooming and they want them lester
children and blah, blah bah blah, and do all this stuff. Okay,
(14:17):
that's fine, you can say that because you have a
right to your opinion. However, be careful what you throw
out there, because then when it comes back and it's
somebody who's tied to Michaeh Beckworth, although it's like two
degrees of separation has supposed to six degrees, I think
that's where you know Beckwith comes in.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Well, it's you know, it's sick and I haven't read
what you've read and don't Yeah, I don't plan on.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
It, Jim, but turn your hair white.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
Yeah, it's on its way. But the the whole idea
and the guilt by association, uh, I think that's pretty
I think it's weak. I understand what Abdul's saying about
about Micah raising the bar on on behavior and whatnot,
but this is so difficult to talk about because it's
(15:06):
just it offends me that people actually do this. I
know it is done, but it's just it's just hard
to talk about for me.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Okay, difficult.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
So one of the things that I do think Micah
has to do that he has not done, and he's
done this before, not to equate these two issues, but
He did this thing with the property tax issue too,
where he was all gun ho until Braun made his choice,
and then he just disappeared for days, right, and then
by the time he finally came out and made a statement,
(15:38):
then it was this mealy mouthed thing on Hammer and
Nigel that people were outraged over because it sounded like
he was supporting the bill. And then like two days
later he's like, no, no, no, you should be to the bill.
It's like it's been five or six days, dude, that
ship is sailed. That you missed your opportunity. I think
Micah has to come out and say something soon publicly
about all of this, because you look bad when you're
(16:02):
mister vocal on everything except the things that might make
you look bad. And unfortunately he's connected. That's not the
sense of I think he did anything wrong, was involved
in it, but he is connected because Nathan Peternell and
Micah are so close together, and you're right of duel.
They have made the the the lefts whether it's grooming
(16:22):
of children or whatever, they've made it a very vocal
part of the conversation. And you look bad when suddenly
you go silent when the times get.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Tough and also and also too are my people is
like I said, and no one and just to make
it perfect clear, no one is accusing Micah beck with
of anything of any legal wrongdoing whatsoever, nor Peter Burnell.
This is all on his son Jonathan for first and foremost. However, Uh,
it is in that micamp Beck with orbit because you
got you got the the the the grand jury self
(16:54):
over here. You've got you this over here, and it
doesn't it doesn't look good, and and and if and
if and by the way, if you're if you're regular
people who are reading this like hey, who's that kid?
The thing? Like, yeah, but they have someone connected with
the lieutenant governor because not because for most people outside
of our our bubble, that's what that's what the story
is going to be.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
Well, I I think I think Micah will write it out.
I don't think you're gonna hear a comment. Uh, he'll
He'll think that this is kind of the sixth minute
media cycle and it just all depends if there are
more coming out.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Watch I would say, here's here's the thing. I would say.
Friday at five o'clock, Michael Bevil goes on the Hammerhondizal show.
If passes prologue, it'll be Friday, It'll be five o'clock Hammerhdizer.
That's about this. Will they ask him the question, Yes,
they'll ask me a question. It will be about a
a the least hostile audience. He could possibly get this
outside of his own Jesus Sex and Politics podcast. By
(17:53):
the way, they want to change that name. By the way,
now that is a podcast that he does with Nathan Peter.
Now or dead, they're still doing it.

Right now, though, we just want to say thanks to
our friends at Freedom Foods Indiana for supporting State House Happenings.
(19:30):
Rob Kendall, Jim Merritt a bill give you ba's program.
State House Happenings a weekly look at what's going on
in Indiana politics and government. Didn't think that this wouldn't
be our lead story as of a couple of days ago.
But at Mike always finds a way to bad news
with Micah, finds a way to push other news off
the off the top of the fold. Yes, go ahead.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Actually it was a year ago, showed ubout Facebook memories
because you and I had had our little our lovers
lovers lovers fight over the whole thing about Micah and
the pros up and the dead stuff, Oh yeah going on,
and I was like, I was like, Rob, this is
the first Iceberg and you're like, no, it's not. Then
well hold a year later here we are, well it it.
(20:07):
I know I was right, No, yeah, we.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Call everything into question. I do want to get a
redistricting real quick though, because obviously now Braun has said
we're gonna have this special session. It's slated to begin Monday, Abdul,
the Senate is not moving off the fact that they
don't have the votes.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
The votes are not there.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
What is Braun doing.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
He's trying to pressure them like, Okay, they say they
don't have the votes, but if I call him in
here and they're sitting in the chair. Then they'll vote
for it.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Oh, it's like, okay, once we put your name on
the board and you gotta hit red or green, they're
gonna wimp out.
Speaker 3 (20:43):
Yeah, but the vote, the votes are not there. The
votes are barely there in the House Representatives. And I
want to say, by my last count it was a
double digit and like they are like five votes in
favor of redistrictain about ten or so, not crazy by
re districting. And the undecideds are you need? You need
(21:03):
like at least fifteen of the undecideds of the Republicans
to get it. And you in the Senate, in the Senate,
and you're you're a bet man, you're a poker player
or gambler. Yes, you gotta basically sports. Yeah, you got
to run the table. It's like, okay, I got this.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah it's Jim. It's like the Ryder Cup when you
got to get to fourteen and a half points and
then their sides up, you know, thirteen and a half
that it was like the Americans this year at the
Ryder Cup. We're gonna started winning all those matches, but
you're like, you lose one of them because you're so
far behind it's over. Okay, you're the perfect guy asked this,
Did you ever get bullied into a vote? Did anybody
(21:40):
ever say all right, merit, put up or shut up?
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Well, it wasn't bully, but it was anxiety and stressful.
When the riffer issue came along and we had to
have the trailer that really wasn't the trailer. And because
the initial riffer was not controversial, No, no, but when
when when when everybody was coming in saying, you know,
(22:03):
Charlotte lost their their All Star game, Atlanta at one
point lost their All Star game in baseball, and so
Indianapolis that was built on convention that was hospitable and
then we had to had to change it and make
a move to change it. That was the time that
if you want to call it bullied, fine, But when
(22:25):
you're talking about now and my former brethren right now,
if they don't have the votes now, they won't have
the votes when it comes into session. Just because you're
in session. Somebody is not going to change their vote.
They've been through the ringer for the last ninety days
or so, and everybody asking about it. Center Good from
(22:48):
Good from Tera Hate area is having a town hall
meeting about this. They're going about their process makes it
makes me think that if you were going to do this,
Braun should have called them in in August when no
one was paying attention and rip the band aid off.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Okay, so this is my this is my question about you,
and I'm due. I'll start with you because they don't
like Braun particularly, I mean the friendships. Yeah, it's it's
obvious this is and him didn't.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
They didn't like Ulm either.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Well, but they were afraid of Holcom. They're not afraid
of Braun. And it seems like if you're going to
if Rod Bray is telling you, it was basically his
way of saying, don't do this, and Holcomb says no,
we're gonna or hold them. If Braun says we're gonna
do it, now it becomes sort of a standoff between
Bray and Braun. And Bray's not just going to give
(23:41):
up his caucus to like Braun.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
The best way to get somebody to do something to
tell them not to do it. And this is just
the reverse. Because you've got Claire Sigmas from the Senate governor.
Don't do this. The vote start there. The votes aren't
going to be there. They goes like, no, I want
to do this, Like Governor, don't do it, Like I'm
gonna make you guys come here. Okay, When then when
it falls on your face, not only is it not
going to lose a red districting fight, but also you're
(24:05):
you're already nice to begin with coming in, you know,
with property taxes, the whole thing, healthcare, you always you
didn't have the necessarily the best relationship with us to
begin with. You Now you're just basically putting the nail,
putting the final nail on the coffin. He calls them back.
It's gonna be a very very long three year.
Speaker 4 (24:21):
You know, let's start from the beginning when when Braun
ran for governor. Initially he was the only candidate that
had Trump's endorsement. That was along with money, but that
was really the epicenter of what grew his campaign. And
and and I've always maintained I think, I think, I
(24:44):
know that I've always thought that they're going to go
into special session, not because they had the votes, but
because Braun could call it. And and that there when
when uh Braun's on the phone with the president, Governor
Brown's on the phone with President rump UH and it's
it's constant. I didn't think there was any any any
(25:05):
thought that they weren't going to go into session UH
to to redistrict the state. Now what happens, you know,
Frank Murvan is not not going to be an easy
win for Jennifer Ruth Green. I told you both that
she was going to run for this because nobody pays
it in Northwest Indiana. Nobody pays attention what's going on
(25:26):
in Indnapolis, and and that her troubles at the state House,
being being in the Bronze cabinet is not going to
trouble her and her her attempt to beat Frank Murvan next.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
I just I disagree though, because while while you're a
you're right, the Northwest Indian of the Northwest region is
more Chicago media, Chicago's and were looking for an interesting
story to write about. And I know the political there's
been a whiles has been up there. I know the
political reports that there are just chopping off the bed
for some type of scandal, and Jeff Ruth Green is
here here you go here.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Well, part of this part of this too is I
don't think Bray and Houston are certain they can draw
a map that Mervan loses. I mean, you can make
the district a little more Republican, but can you make
up five or six points? Well?
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Also, you know, I'm sure, I'm sure Senator Bray is thinking,
am I going to lose three seats on this right?
And uh and and you know at these maps that
you're looking at, and and anybody that thinks you can
slice and dice Carson and and not have him pop
up as the mayor of Indianapolis and in a very
powerful position for the Democrat Party with bo By coming along.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Uh you know.
Speaker 4 (26:37):
You're you're silly and and you're right, and you look
at Northwest Indiana and uh and and you're squeezing Rudy
Akim a little bit as well next door. Uh and
bear it a little bit too. And it's it's a
very difficult redraw.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
It's like playing Tetris. Yeah, when you move a little
bit with scars wrong.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Those proposed those maps their foot out of there. So
that looks like a game of Tetris or Doctor Mario.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
And it's mercury as well. We've talked about it too.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
All right. Uh So let's get everybody on the table.
Here because I don't know how long the session is
gonna take. They may still be doing it by the
time we do the show next week. Will there be
a vote on redistricting and will it pass?
Speaker 3 (27:20):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Which which one?
Speaker 4 (27:22):
I think there? Well, there is two part question. Absolutely,
there will be a vote.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
So Bray will let it come up to a vote. Yes, Okay,
you will not stick it in rules because Adam ran
thinks like he might put it in rules or something
like that.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
I think at this point in time annoying Rod Bray
and Rod Bray is slow to anger and slow to
get ticked off. Like, Okay, governor, if this is what
you want, okay, be careful what you wish for. I
think they'll get a vote, and I think it'll I
think it'll fail. It'll fail, all right, I agree the
same thing. You guys are in agreement.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
I think I think it gets a vote, and it's
just the process. Because small special sessions should go twelve
days business, this will go three and there will be
a vote. Okay, noll fail in the Senate.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Rob Kendall, Jim Merrit, if you will give your boss,
thank you, my friends.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
