Speaker 1 (00:01):
With the eighty fifth Lick, the Pittsburgh Steelers collect they
wanted to have Britain deep at the back in Georgia.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
First of all, welcome to Pittsburgh. What has this experience
been like from getting the phone call and getting a
chance to put on a Steelers sweatshirt to say this
is my team now?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Now it means everything, especially just starting off with the
phone call, like just just a moment to share with
my family and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
It was just a great feeling.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
I didn't think I was gonna cry, but I ended
up crying, So, I mean, it's nothing wrong with that,
but it just means it means a lot of this
organization to believe in me and pick me.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
So I'm forever grateful.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
What is it like to join this group of DB's
that are currently on this roster for the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yeah, no, it's I'm definitely excited. You know.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
It's a lot of familiar names like you know, Ramsey,
Joey Porter, inside the center Juns, like just a lot
of guys that I could learn from and take some
things that they have into my game and just try
to help me become better player in person.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
What's it been like getting to know some members of
your rookie class, guys that you're probably going to be
spending a very long a lot of time with.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I should say, now, it's been good, especially you know
Jeremy Bernard.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
We we played each other a few times, so already
I'm already familiar with him, so he's real cool. Then
uh old Lineman. So yeah, they with the mullet. Yeah yeah,
Dunker called. I was like, yes, got the mullet.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
So he's really cool too.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
So and what was your process, like, I know, Senior Bowl,
Combine visit like all those things. How did you feel
your relationship with the Steelers staff grow during that time?

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:35):
No, So it started with the Singer Bowl I met.
I met with him at the Syra Bowl. I felt
like it was a good interview. And then went back
to the Combine and they told me, was you know
you did so good to seeing bowl we wanted to
talk to you again. So that was the first time
I got to actually talk to the coach McCarthy and
the other guys in there. And then I felt like
that was real good too, like I had a nice
had a nice talk, and then then it carried over

(01:56):
to Pro Day and before the day before Prode came out,
we had dinner and it was just a great experience.
So I just continuing to keep learning them and having
them like learn a lot about me.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
So it was just it was a good experience.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
We've talked to Patrick Graham and just the energy bringer
that he is. Is that the same that you saw
from him in your discussions with him and getting to
know him and what kind of decordinator he is.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Yeah, I saw at the dinner I could tell like
he was juiced up and I.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Liked that a lot.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
So And in terms of some guys you might know
from Georgia, have they reached out, what have they told you?
And has anybody else spoke to you since?

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Well, they haven't reached out yet, but I'm looking forward
to seeing him again. Just I haven't seen this projerk
and Darnell. I haven't seen him since my freshman year,
so looking forward to seeing them again.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
All right, Well, thanks very much and welcome to Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
