The Wellington-based Tokomanawa Queens have opened basketball's new Tauihi National League with a 73-68 win over the Hoiho in Porirua.
Among a star-filled Queens team this season is Australian forward Lou Brown, who brings two WNBL titles and an impressive American basketball resume to the team.
Brown opened with 25 points and 16 rebounds in the win.
She caught up with Adam Cooper about the opening victory and the season ahead.
