six to nine Eastern and great cities like Nashville, Tennessee
two below, Mississippi and Sacramento, California. We'd love to be
a part of your morning routine and take the drive
to work with you, but better late than never. We're
grateful you're here now. Enjoy the podcast two.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Three, starting your morning off right. A new way of talk,
a new way of understanding, because we're in this together.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
This is your Morning Show with Michael Bill John six
minutes after the hour, and welcome to Monday, the fifteenth
of July, Year of Our Lord, twenty twenty four. I
think we're all still kind of breathing and processing from
this weekend, and we'll do our best to take it
from there moving forward. As we press on the president,
(00:51):
former President Donald Trump is in Milwaukee for the convention.
Biden addressed America from the Oval Office yesterday. We have
that's a process. The US House Committee on Homeland Security
is going to investigate the assassination. We often talk about
what are the real issues that we're dealing with that
(01:12):
we never really discuss out loud. One is what is
the proper size and role of government by its intent?
What is the role and responsibility of the self governed?
That is so such a primary issue of importance, never
asked out loud, never discussed. Another thing that we never
(01:34):
really talk about out loud is this division in America,
and I believe it stems from well a two party
system that was never intended, added with social media, added
with America's obsession on the presidency and how that has
gotten out of control, and in a single shot that
(01:58):
seems to have come to the table. Now this can
go one of two ways. It can just be the
next narrative formed, or it could be a time of
reflection and a chance for real change. We certainly pray
for the latter. I have often said, and I don't
(02:21):
know if you agree or not. There, in my opinion,
are two presidents that are very significant and we're never
supposed to be. One is John F. Kennedy. When you
go back in real time or with great historic perspective
and you look at the eight years of peace prosperity
(02:48):
Americana under Eisenhower, it should have been a natural handoff
to his vice president Richard Nixon, but it wasn't will
point to Cook County, some will point to a first
television candidate. But John F. Kennedy was certainly a president
(03:09):
that was never supposed to happen, and a significant one.
And I've often said the second president that was never
supposed to happen was Donald Trump. So for me, it
was a pretty revealing perspective. And we've often said for
John F. Kennedy assassinated in daily plaza, for Donald Trump
(03:32):
politically and characterly assassinated daily, and I would always say
I fear for his life, and I often prayed for
his protection. Now there are moments in the past few months,
and certainly going back to his first news conference sixty
(03:55):
four days into his presidency, where I prayed for Joe
Biden's life because this was a guy who was supposed
to be used to get the White House and then
exit and refused, why do I bring that up? Because
I had come to that conclusion. And because of that conclusion,
(04:18):
all I did was pray for the protection God's protection
over Donald Trump. And I know I'm not alone, and
I know there are millions of Americans who have prayed
the same and so first and foremost, I want to
testify with you that our God was faithful. Now everybody,
(04:42):
including Donald Trump, hasn't missed that point. Now you can
say it's fate. If he hadn't turned to look, if
somebody hadn't planned to have a visual screen behind him,
donald Trump is likely dead today. If somebody doesn't decide
(05:03):
that we're going to do a graphic. If the flow
of his free wheeling speech doesn't take him to that
exact moment where he turns to look at the graphic
behind him, we don't have Donald Trump now. Coincidence, fate.
I believe God answered our prayers and protected the former president.
(05:26):
And I don't think anybody reasonably look at all of
this and come to any other conclusion. And I can
tell you Donald Trump has come with that conclusion. I
thought of all the times that we together have talked
about Donald Trump two point zero, and I don't know
if we were headed towards the Donald Trump two point oh.
(05:49):
I think all of the attempts of the left to
assassinate his character, to get him off a ballot before
the people could decide, either in a primary whether he
should be the nominee or in a general whether he
should be the next president. Again, the left wasn't going
to play that game. Now this is the same left,
(06:11):
And I think one of the great ironies waking up
this morning is Time magazine with the iconic picture of
the president with his fist in the air and blood
across his face. That's the same Time magazine that in
February after the twenty twenty election, shared with you the
manifesto of the left, the Shadow Campaign to save the Democracy.
(06:35):
That was concerning enough for me on February fifteenth to
twenty twenty one. So that's kind of what the silent,
unasked question in the room is, what other magazines, what
other news networks, what other members of Congress, what other
(06:58):
posters and social media played a role in inciting what
took place Saturday? That only God. There's an Old Testament
scripture came immediately to my mind, when the enemy comes
in like a flood. I think it was Jesse Waters
who said the devil was in Pennsylvania Saturday, but God
(07:20):
showed up. Chad Rak and Meshak and a Bendigo were
in the furnace, but they weren't alone. But the Old
Testament scripture is when the enemy comes in like a flood,
God raises the standard against him whatever was intended, whether
it was a lone, twenty year old shooter, and people
have a lot of questions. There's just a lot of
(07:42):
things that don't add up about this guy. The kind
of obsession you would have to have to trade your
life and climb up on a white roof to take
a sniper shot at a former president, and not a
(08:03):
peep of politics really out of this guy anywhere on
social media. It just doesn't make sense. In the case
of Oswald made complete sense, but this guy not at all.
I want to get back to that first point I made.
The things we never say out loud. One of the
(08:26):
biggest problems in America is loss of trust. We don't
trust our government, we don't trust our media. You don't
hear people often say this, but the truth of the
matter is we don't trust each other. So whenever you
have an event like this, it becomes a moment that
can go either way. It can go further into mistrust,
(08:50):
or it can create a new beginning and a new tomorrow.
I can't get around a few questions. Three buildings with
a position to a stage, the way it was within
two hundred yards and that not being within the security
(09:13):
perimeter makes no sense. The amount of time that people
notified local authorities seeing the gunman climbing up, seeing him
on the roof, and nothing was done. The time between
the first shots and when the Secret Service nipers took
him out is a challenge to make sense. There's going
(09:39):
to be a lot of discussions about diversity, equity and
inclusion and hirings and have we gotten away from quality
of applicants for Secret Service? Was it a failure of planning?
Was it a failure of execution? Were their denials of
the upper staff size. I gotta tell you, looking at it,
(10:08):
it sure looks like everybody kind of gave the opportunity
it's best shot, and it didn't work. They didn't plan
for God, they didn't plan for the millions of Americans
who prayed for this individual's protection. And now moving forward
(10:28):
with no trust very I mean, because this is a reach.
I'm trying to play it right down the middle. I'm
trying to be, you know, as reasonable as I can be.
But the same FBI that raided his home is now
heading up this investigation, the same FBI that's been trying
to take them off the ballot and lock them up
(10:49):
is heading this investigation. Never mind the lack of trust
I just outlined for you it's beyond any reach of trust.
I couldn't help. But also at the risk of you
screaming at the radio, I can't believe I keep bringing
up nineteen sixty eight, and every time I bring it up,
(11:13):
we'd come back to this final thought, Well, all this
left is a riot at a convention and someone to
be assassinated, and that attempt was Saturday. You'd have to
go back and find it in the podcast. But when
we talked about the comparison to nineteen sixty eight, one
(11:34):
of my main points was, if you really dissect this accurately,
as ironic as it is, that in nineteen sixty eight
you had a president who decided he couldn't move forward,
he couldn't win, and he stepped aside. You have Joe
Biden who has yet to do that. When LBJ did,
he turned it over to the vice president. But there
was also a third party candidate McCarthy, who was anti war.
(11:57):
There was also George Wallace who was anti civil rights movement,
and then there was the entrance of RFK. I returned
to Camelot, and there's no question Robert Kennedy was going
to win, and he was assassinated as much as we
have RFK Junior in this race, which points to the
(12:19):
significance of the sixty eight to today correlation. If you
really dissect the lanes, see RFK was about the poor.
RFK was about anti swamp. He didn't call it that then,
(12:45):
but his brother was trying to dismantle much of the
justice system as well as the military apparatus. That person's
really Trump today now. I also have concerns for RFK Junior,
who has been asking continuously for Secret Service protection. I
(13:05):
wonder if it'll be granted. Now there'll be a lot
of talk about the bullseye reference by Joe Biden. I'll
play with some clips here in a minute. Am I
the only one that is struck by two things? I
(13:29):
don't want to play anybody's lack of trust. But when
the Secret Service didn't show up to the news conference
Saturday night, that was a big problem for me, and
they haven't showed up since. And then there's this notion
of every time there's a shooting, the Left comes out
(13:51):
anti gun full force, and that hasn't happened. Yet doesn't
that strike anybody that's really strange, really suspicious? Where's the
good trouble gang? Why is there no anti gun messaging?
(14:16):
There wasn't from the president in the Oval office, There
hasn't been from the leftist media. Could a Republican ever
get away with us? Maybe it's because this time they
wanted the gun to work and it didn't. So here
(14:38):
we go, Monday, July fifteenth, moving forward. Can we trust
whoever investigates this? What will we ever know? Was this
a dereliction of duty and competence or worse that led
to this easy shot from one hundred and fifty yards away?
And does anybody trust the Justice Department to get to
(15:00):
the bottom of this? I can tell you your members
of Congress stone And now we press on with a
living former president heading to a convention where Nikki Haley
has agreed to speak Tuesday. We're seeing a remarkable uniting
of this party even before this attempt. I don't even
know to what level it goes. Now, Oh, we got
a lot to cover. This is your Morning Show with
(15:24):
Michael Deltrona. Following an attempt on his life over the weekend,
the President has arrived in Milwaukee. Believe it or not,
we have the RNC this week. Nicki Haley is announced
she will speak on Tuesday again, another sign of the
unifying of the party and the President. Joe Biden with
an Oval Office address saying it's time to lower the
temperature in politics. Aaron Real is joining us. You know,
(15:45):
all of their attempts to tie up Donald Trump in
court that failed, We got just the right amount of
Donald Trump in messaging and it was very unifying. One
can only imagine how an attempt on his life will
unify the party so much for the best place, best
laid plans of others. It's interesting how defining this assassination
attempt might be on his run for presidency.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
It's really incredible, and we can talk about this more
in the next hour. But you're really beginning to see
the markets crisis and now there's been some quick pulling overnight,
but many, many are believing that it's now President elect
Trump and the fiscal policy that he might enact based
upon that is basically being assumed a foregone conclusion. So
(16:29):
it will be interesting seeing today when the market's open
at nine thirty, how they're going to react to this,
but yes, this is shocking. It was one of those
like where were you when it happened?
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Type thing.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Yeah, Actually, I was in Saint Louis doing a Cubs
weekend with my son. We had a double header, so
I thought I'd take an hour nap, to which I
woke up to a frank to call for my wife.
I did not expect the news to be graised in
the year and fine, I can tell you that, so
I was very grateful in the coming moments. But yeah,
we will talk about uncertainty in the market and has
(17:03):
this created certainty? That's how much this seems to be
solidifying the road to the White House for Donald Trump.
Hey it's me Michael. Your morning show is heard live
from five to eight am Central, six to nine am Eastern,
three to six am Pacific on great radio stations like
News Radio eleven ninety k EX in Portland, News Talk
(17:24):
five point fifty k f YI, and Phoenix, Arizona Freedom
one oh four seven in Washington, d C. We'd love
to have you join us live in the morning, even
take us along on the drive to work, but better
late than never. Enjoyed the podcast. Welcome to Monday, July
the fifteenth Year of Our Lord, twenty twenty four on
the Aaron streaming live on your iHeartRadio app. I am
Michael del Jorno. You know, I think when news events
(17:44):
like this happen, it's unfair to do this when you
turn on your television, and it's unfair to do this
when you turn on your radio. Expect somebody to make
sense of it all, because that's impossible to do. Perhaps
Donald Trump has done the best job of processing it.
It was God and God alone. I mean, think about it.
(18:11):
For those that you, those of you waking up who
really love Donald Trump, like me, you really prayed for
his protection for years. Your prayers were answered. You saw
a real God, a living God, a powerful God, protect
a man who shouldn't be here. Now Donald Trump gets that.
(18:33):
The real question of the day is how different is
Donald Trump going to be? Now? You think Donald Trump's
I don't think he was ever in this for trivial politics.
I think he always knew that this threat existed. Look,
if you and I can connect the dots. Look, they've
(18:55):
done everything to character assassinate me, to destroy me, to
destroy my family, invaded my home, drug me in court
in three different states, tried to throw me in jail.
I think he was able to think forward to the
next step, and if that doesn't work, they'll try to
(19:15):
kill me, which may be the look you saw on
his face front of mine, Texan. This guy gets shot, bleeding,
he gets up, Hey on, I'm gonna let me get
my shoes. I'm you kidding. I mean that is His
son said, Hey, maybe my dad is badass. That is.
(19:36):
I don't like to use the word ass, but that's badass.
This guy is like unbelievable. But think about it. If
Donald Trump doesn't turn his head, he is gone today.
I don't know what Secret Service failed at yet, but
(19:56):
I know what God succeeded at. I have no idea.
This twenty year old makes no sense with no social
media footprint, A registered Republican, I don't know if I
buy that making allowsy fifteen dollars donation to a progressive
group after the twenty twenty election. Not much makes sense
(20:17):
here with the shooter. This is no Lee Harvey Oswald's
that like he defected to Russia came back. Yeah. He
climbs up on a white roof. Everybody sees him, everybody
notifies the police, and he's still allowed to get into position.
(20:38):
He's still allowed to get eight shots up. Oh. I
got a lot of questions. Why was that considered outer
perimeter at one hundred and fifty yards with such a
perfect angle where the President was standing. Why weren't there
snipers on that roof to meet that sniper. Why wasn't
(20:59):
the Secret Service at that Saturday night news conference and
at the left didn't play a role in this. Why
are they scrambling to pull all their attack ads. I mean,
here's the problem. I had. Let me rephrase this so
it doesn't come across the way. Here's the dilemma for
(21:20):
Joe Biden. You have to address the nation for only
the third time from the Oval Office to say I've
come to the conclusion things have gotten too heated. I
have said from the beginning I hate using the word ey,
but I have to because nobody else has said it.
I think Joe Biden's greatest failure, next to his cognitive failures,
(21:42):
which he may not have control over, is he has
failed himself. Joe Biden was presented to you and hidden
in a basement as an alternative to the kind of
division in America, vitriol and America that led to the
shooting sat and in his inauguralar dress, it was all about,
(22:03):
we don't need to fight over every little thing or America.
We need to unite. We need to find common ground.
We need to have sensible disagreements and find consensus and solutions.
And then he walked right across the street and did
thirty nine executive order reversals in forty new executive orders.
He failed himself on day one, and that failing of
(22:29):
himself day one failed him last night in the Oval
office because the emperor had no rope, because the emperor
had no credibility, and the emperor failed to do. What
he needed to do was start with himself and confess
and repent and then lead by example. But he didn't.
(22:51):
In fact, his examples included more Democrat shootings than Republican shootings.
Over massaged was the speech, and nobody forgets what the
President was saying two three days earlier.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Donald Trump is a convicted criminal. I mean this from
the bottom of art. Trump is a threat to this nation.
And Trump is even more dangerous now.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
I'm serious. He's unhinged, he snapped.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
He says if he loses, there will be a blood
bat Trump said that he wins, there'll be a dictator
on day one. He needs it.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Folks, we're not gonna let that happen.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Over my dead body will happen.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
All right, So you know that kind that's very inciting. Now.
They've been playing Boogeyman from the beginning because that's all
they got. This is a dilemma they're in. You can't
sell Biden. You can't sell Biden's policies. They failed, So
all you can do is demonize Trump. So if you're
gonna have a speech from the Oval Office and you're
gonna say it's time to turn down the temperature, you
(24:07):
should be confessing your failures. You should be taking accountability
for the things you incited, including bullseye. Unless he's talking
about darts and the media reporting on this, how do
they do that with a straight face? How much would
we have to forget to ignore their role in all
(24:31):
of this? He is not only unfit, he is destructive
to our democracy and he has to be He has
to be eliminated. I'm dare he say the things he does.
Of course I want to punch him in a face.
Speaker 5 (24:47):
Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up
the White House, and.
Speaker 6 (24:54):
With this kind of inspiration, I will go and take
Trump out to night.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
And the donor.
Speaker 7 (25:02):
Class can't just sit back on the sidelines and say, oh, well,
don't worry, this will all work itself out.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
They're still going to have to go out and put
a bullet in Donald Trump. I mean, you can go
grab these clips forever. And of course the right would
have never been allowed to get away with this. That's
what we talked about. Look, the Shadow Campaign to Save
the Democracy one of the great ironies of the day,
the very Same Time magazine that shares with you the
manifesto of how the left, in their own words, stole
(25:30):
the election in twenty twenty, and not the way you think.
They controlled the narrative because they controlled the media. They
demonized Trump, they attached COVID to him, they weaponized COVID,
changed election laws, they silenced any opposition views because they
controlled social media. Problem is they don't control Twitter anymore.
(25:52):
Probably is social media is four years older and far
more trusted for good or bad than the mainstream. But
the left has controlled the narrative, and the narrative has
been very inciting to what happened Saturday. And while the
President said all the right things that he needed to say.
(26:15):
He's pulled all the ads that would have disproved everything
he was saying last night, America hasn't forgotten for me.
I would have needed Joe Biden. Look, I would have
started with me, and that would have been the way
(26:39):
to lead by example. But last night I was struck
and reminded by my own observations. He failed himself. On
Inauguration Day, he delivered a speech that said one thing,
but then his actions across the street were completely different.
And Saturday night last night or Sunday night last night,
from the Oval office, he said one thing. Words aren't
(27:01):
gonna do it. It's gonna take actions from here. And
the only one I see poised to really understand this
properly so far is Donald Trump, because he sees it
for what it is, God and God alone, Donald Trump
two point zero. We're gonna get Donald Trump like Shadrack
(27:21):
Mishak and a Bendigo coming out of the furnace. And
he's already in Milwaukee for the convention. Your top five
stories of the day are next. As your morning show
continues on this Monday, July fifteenth, Stay with.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
Us, Hi, This is Jenny Bourne. My Morning show is
your Morning Show with Michael Del Jorno.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
After a historic weekend, here are your top five stories
of today. The former president Donald Trump says it was
God and God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening
after an attempt on his life in Pennsylvania. Lisa Taylor reports.
Speaker 6 (28:04):
In a post on Truth's Social Trump said we will
not fear, but instead will remain resilient in our faith
and defiant in the face of wickedness. Trump said his
love goes out to the other victims and their families,
and he's praying for the recovery of those wounded. The
former president said it's important we stand united and show
our true characters as Americans. Trump said he loves our
country and looks forward to speaking at the Republican National
(28:25):
Convention in Wisconsin this coming week.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
I'm Lisa Taylor and alive and well. He is and
already in Milwaukee ahead of the RNC convention. Mark Mayfield
has Today in Politics.
Speaker 8 (28:35):
Former President Trump has landed in Milwaukee ahead of the
Republican National Convention Sunday morning. On Truth Social. Trump city
planned to arrive a couple days later, but then announce
he had changed his mind. Trump said he cannot allow
a shooter or potential assassin to force a change in
his schedule or anything else. The convention runs today through Thursday,
and President Biden says there was a need to lower
(28:55):
the temperature in politics following his primetime Address of the
Nation from the Overall Sunday, following the assassination attempt on
former President Trump, Senaday.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
Yes, today's shooting in Donald Trump's trawling Pennsylvania calls on
all of us to take a step back, takes talk
of where we are I would go forward from here.
Speaker 8 (29:14):
Biden said violence has never been the answer when it
comes to American politics. He spoke about resolving differences at
the ballot box and not with bullets, saying the power
to change America should rest in the hands of the
people and not in the hands of a deadly assassin.
Biden went on to add that he spoke with Trump
Saturday night and that he is grateful that he.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Is doing well.
Speaker 8 (29:32):
That's politics. Marknefield NBC News Radio, South Carolina senator and
potential vice presidential candidate Tim Scott said violence being pushed
by some Democrats is what led to this.
Speaker 7 (29:43):
The liberal media, the Democrat Party continues to filment violence
with an obsession against Donald Trump. We cannot be surprised
when people take that serious and say we must eliminate
that threat.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
As for moving forwards, God said, I.
Speaker 7 (30:00):
Do not have the confidence that this Department of Justice
will do the right thing.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Yeah. The US Secret Service is facing intense scrutiny following
the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. Lawmakers on
both sides of the aisle are asking how a sniper
was able to get up on a white rooftop about
four hundred feet away from the stage with a clear
shot at the former president. Florida Congressman Corey Mills said,
this is a major failure.
Speaker 9 (30:26):
This, in my opinion, looking at it before the investigation,
is a massive security failure. This is a breach in
security because the one thing that we know is that
when you're setting up in advance, you're looking at every
single area where a shooter could fire from, where they
could take a high ground.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
We've seen the president since the assassination attempt, but we
haven't heard from him yet. Donald Trump Junior has and
said his dad is doing great. He told WOAI radio
that he called his father after the assassination attempt on Saturday. Wait.
Speaker 8 (30:55):
Wait, we get on the phone, and I was just like, hey, man,
you are a serious badass.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
I love that well. I mean, you know, if you
don't turn your head at just the right mill a second,
you're gone. And he does, takes part of his ear off,
he's covered in blood, and what's he telling? Secret said,
let me get my shoes, let me get my view,
and then the defiant fist in the air. Yeah, I
think that would get your son to call you a
(31:22):
bad a. Trump Junior says he's not surprised someone tried
to assassinate his father. I mean, I don't know. It
seems like they've been calling for this for quite some time.
Speaker 8 (31:30):
I got a lot of hell I think a couple
of months ago, and I said, hey, it wouldn't surprise
me if they tried, Like of course, they get like,
what else is there?
Speaker 1 (31:36):
They've tried everything else, Joe, what else is There's it's
a rhetorical question. They failed in the document's case. They
failed in Georgia. They got their convictions, but then after
a Supreme Court ruling that's up in the air, the
(31:58):
sentencing didn't happen. I mean one of the great, great ironies.
They should have been announcing his sentencing heading into this weekend. Instead,
an execution was attempted. Off the top of my head,
(32:18):
I could list about five or six things that are
changed and changed immediately, and they're in a kind of
a checkmate. You know, we talked earlier about Biden's words
during his inaugural speech versus his actions. Right after the
speech was over, he crossed the street and did forty
nine executive order reversals and fifty new executive orders. So
(32:38):
last night he's telling us time to cool things down.
Well that's words. What are the actions going to be
in the coming days? Will he return to that kind
of divisive, insightful, inciting rhetoric. Time will tell. I know
that the buses that were going to be trolling around
(32:59):
in Milwaukee, those attack ads on buses have been pulled.
They pulled all their attack ads on television. Nobody's confessed
what they did was wrong, but they have certainly changed
their actions. But for how long? Add this to the list?
John Stewart wasn't born yesterday and The Daily Show has
canceled all of its tapings in Milwaukee. During the rn C,
(33:22):
What was the narrative going to be versus what can
it be now? That will all be playing out in
the next few days. We had three celebrity deaths in
one weekend, starting with famed TV sex therapist backed the
Roots West timer who passed away. Lisa Carden has that story.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
With her thick German accent and matronly demeanor, she was
known for being quite frank when advising couples on how
