On Thursday, President Biden revealed his 2024 budget proposal. The President called for various tax hikes in the plan, including a minimum tax rate for the wealthiest 0.1% of Americans, a corporate tax increase, and a higher income tax on Americans earning $400,000 or more. The Biden administration's budget proposal comes amid a debt ceiling stalemate, with Congressional Republicans calling for less spending and no new taxes. FOX News Sunday Host Shannon Bream joins the Rundown to discuss the impact the proposed budget could have on Americans, how the President could potentially negotiate with House Republicans, and some of the latest hearings from Capitol Hill.   One of the federal government’s strongest surveillance tools is on the chopping block. The Biden administration’s request to Congress to renew Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act before the end of the year has been met with support from Democrats and Republicans, but the move has its detractors as well. Section 702 of FISA gives intelligence agencies the authority to spy on foreigners abroad without a warrant, which many top government officials credit for stopping terrorism and saving American lives. Opponents of this tool say government intelligence agencies use it as a method to surveil US citizens without a warrant. Former FBI Investigator Bill Daly joins the podcast to explain why Section 702 is so important for counterterrorism, why it must be reinstated, and what changes must be made to it to protect the privacy rights of Americans.   Plus, commentary by Fox Nation host Tammy Bruce.
