Heracles Almelo gaat op bezoek bij ploeg in vorm FC Utrecht en FC Twente wil een nederlaag van vorige week rechtzetten tegen Go Ahead Eagles. In een nieuwe aflevering van de podcast De Warming-up blikken clubwatchers Ralph Blijlevens en Leon ten Voorde samen met host Frank Bussink vooruit op de duels van beide ploegen.
Bij Heracles is het vooral de vraag in welke formatie de ploeg van Erwin van de Looi gaat spelen. Al moeten we daar volgens de trainer zelf niet zo snel een 4-3-3 of een 5-3-2 op plakken. Hoe de ploeg van Van de Looi ook voor de dag komt, een resultaat halen wordt een hels karwei voor Heracles. „Vooraf zou je in ieder geval tekenen voor een puntje in Utrecht", aldus de heren.
FC Twente wil tegen Go Ahead Eagles het eigen publiek weer trakteren op een overwinning. Dat gaan de Enschedeëers in ieder geval weer doen met Daan Rots in de ploeg. Hij ontbrak tegen FC Utrecht. „Ik denk dat heel veel mensen nu wel overtuigd zijn dat we nu toch met Rots moeten beginnen", vertelt Leon. Verder is er discussie over de prestaties van bijvoorbeeld Gijs Smal. Moet je niet een keer een andere linksback de kans geven?
Voorafgaand aan het duel met Go Ahead Eagles staat FC Twente stil bij het overlijden van Jan Sørensen. De oud-speler van de club overleed deze week op 68-jarige leeftijd. De vedette van weleer speelde slechts 2,5 jaar voor FC Twente, maar maakte een onvergetelijke indruk. Leon vertelt wat de Deen zo speciaal maakte en waarom hij voor een grote groep Twentesupporters een held is.
