The morning begins with Erica’s Faith Walk on discipline, patience, and commitment, where she reflects on getting back into the gym with her trainer and how spiritual and physical growth both require consistent work. She emphasizes that no quick fixes—whether in fitness or faith—replace the daily grind, urging listeners to honor the body God gave them by putting in the effort. Throughout the hour, she reinforces the message that taking responsibility for your growth is an act of gratitude to God.

The show also features a heartfelt interview with Bishop Bruce Parham, who shares the story behind his hit gospel single “Call on Jesus” and talks about preparing for his upcoming live recording in Trenton, NJ—where his daughter and godson will take part, making the moment especially meaningful. Later, Erica’s Love Talk dives into the power of hugs, explaining how intentional physical connection releases oxytocin and reduces stress, helping partners “reset” emotionally before heading into the day. Whether through spiritual discipline, renewed creativity, or simple affection, today’s episode centers on choosing actions that strengthen you and the people you love.

Biola Fletcher, one of the last known survivors of the
nineteen twenty one Tulsa race massacre, has died at the
age of one hundred and eleven. As a seven year old,
she witnessed white mobs firmed down her Greenwood community, later
known as Black Walls Read, killing up to three hundred
people and leaving thousands homeless. One century later, she testified

(02:05):
before Congress seeking reparations. Her passing leaves only one remaining survivor,
Lessie Evelyn Beddingfield, also one hundred and eleven, six months
younger than missus Viola Fletcher. A coalition of grassroots organizations
is calling for a national seven day economic blackout during
one of the busiest shopping weeks of the year, if

(02:26):
not the busiest, to protest the Trump administration and income inequality.
This action urges Americans to stop spending at major retailers
and even call out sick at work, with the exception
of supporting small businesses on November thirtieth, Small Business Saturday.
This follows several spending freezes earlier in twenty twenty five,

(02:47):
many of which were aimed at pushing corporations and the
federal government to restore DEI programs and address broader social
and economic issues. Black America two fifty and the Hotlight
is on John Henry Singhstack for November twenty fifth, nineteen
twelve in Savannah, Georgia. He was the prominent newspaper publisher

who once owned the largest chain of black publications in
the United States. Groom for journalism from a young age,
he trained under his father and his uncle, Robert Sengstack Babbott,
founder of The Chicago Defender, which later financed his education
at Hampton Institute. After mister Abbot's death in nineteen forty,
young Sinstack inherited the Chicago Defender and led the paper

(03:32):
as president and editor to his own passing in nineteen
ninety seven.

Shoutout to Pastor Kevin Matthews and my sister friend Ebony Blair.
And if it's your birthday, you know, Drill, you get
a chance to shout it out. Coming up in fifteen
minutes on the birthday shoutouts on Get Up Mornings with
Erica Campbell.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
If you're listening to Get Up with Erica Kimble. Faith
Walk right now a man New faith wal.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Yes, it is time for the faith Walk of the day,
and listen. We know that all throughout Scripture talks about
God wanting us to be free. You wanted to free
the children of visual, You wanted to free us from
our own bondage. And Jesus came and was trying to
get people free, to get their minds and hearts ready
for Heaven, to get them ready to be disciples. That's
why we shouldn't be bogged down with things and situations,

(05:58):
because we've got work to do. We've got a te
know this dying world about Jesus. But sometimes self doubt
comes in and you don't think that you are able
to or capable to. I want you to know that
freedom is for you first, and then you give it
to the other people. There are way too many believers
who love the Lord, but they're bound. They don't think

(06:18):
they're talented enough for spiritual enough, or too broken, or
they've made too many mistakes. But I want you to
know that voice of self doubt is a lie. It
is the enemy, an accuser of the brethren. But I
want you to not walk in condemnation and know that
you can be free in Jesus. Listen here it is,
here's the truth. Some people are in church and bound.

(06:38):
Some people stay in the faith. Then you go to
church every Sunday Sunday and you still not free. That's crazy.
I want you to be free, not crazy because you're crazy,
crazy because the enemy is very diligent and patient when
it comes to destroying the people of God. And all
he's trying to do is stop you from walking in
your calling. I've told you before, the enemy don't want
your marriage, what do you need there for? He wants

(06:59):
your mind. He wants you sanity. He don't need your car.
He wants your trust and faith in God. He wants
you to think God doesn't provide. He wants you to
doubt God. Well, if you doubt God, you're gonna tell
a different story about God. And so I want you
to get free and really know the Lord. So as
you walk in this freedom, you can tell somebody else
about it. If you know that God cares and loves you,

(07:20):
then it doesn't matter what other people say about you.
If you stop caring what other people say and stand
on what God said, you walk in a different authority.

Speaker 6 (07:29):
Even their life is life.

Speaker 4 (07:31):
Even though you may go through some things, you know
that God loves you. So therefore, when you know God
loves you, you can share that love with somebody else.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
Are you sharing His love with other people?

Speaker 4 (07:41):
That is our job, not just your pastor not just me,
You too, share the gospel at your job, share with
your family, with your unsaved family members have you? Who
was the last person that you led to Christ? But
first you got to get to him first. You got
to make sure he has your heart. First, you got
to make sure you're free.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
First.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
You got to make sure that you.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Are a whole. My prayer for you this morning, the
freedom that we tell other people about is for you too.
It's for me too. I dare not sit here and
talk to you every weekday morning and be bound in
my mind and my spirit.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
Uh Uh.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
I'm glad I recognized when the enemy start whispering, so
I can tell him to shut it up.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Uh Uh. God promised me the victory, and I'm gonna
walk in it.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
And as I walk in it, I become a light
and I can share it with somebody else.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
And that is what we're supposed to be doing.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
So my prayer for freedom is for you, so that
you can lead somebody else to Jesus.

Speaker 6 (08:29):
How about that, y'all? That's the faith walk of the day.
All right? Now is birthday shout out time?

Good?

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Good?

Speaker 10 (14:23):
All right?

Speaker 6 (14:24):
What we need to know? Sybil?

Speaker 4 (14:25):
In your newsletter you share how mother Viola Fletcher, oldest
survivor of the Tulsa Race massacre, dies at one hundred
and eleven years old.

Speaker 6 (14:33):
Tell us about it.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Can you imagine the history that this woman has lived through?
Ye Old Fletcher, one of the last known survivors of
the nineteen twenty one Tulsa Race massacre, died this week
at the age of one hundred and eleven as a
seven year old child. Think about this she witnessed a
white mob burning down her Greenwood community later known as

(14:56):
Black Wall Street, killing up to three hundred people and
leaving thousands homeless, and a century later, she was called
to testify before Congress seeking reparations, which they still have
not won. For passing leaves only one remaining survivor, and
that's missus Leslie Emmelyn Benningfield, who's also at the very
healthy age of one hundred and eleven, and she is

(15:18):
just six months younger than Viola Fletcher.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
Wow wow, Okay, So Economic Blackout wants people to skip work,
Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping.

Speaker 6 (15:31):
Tell us more.

Speaker 5 (15:32):
Yeah, we need to know the e zach stores and
win because I'd be confused on dice.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Okay, okay, Well here, the big box stores are really
what they're concentrating on, and those that have really shunned
DEI proposals as the Trump administration has encouraged them to do.
This is a coalition of grassroots organizations. They're calling for
the national seven day economic blackout during one of the

(15:58):
busiest shopping shopping of the year, if not the biggest,
to protest the Trump administration and income equality. This is
asking people to stop spending and major retailers, those big
box sources I said, and even call out of work.
The calling out of work part is a little difficult
for some folks who are very happy to have a job.

(16:20):
And they are asking people to make the exception of
supporting small businesses on November thirty, if that's also known
as Small Business Saturday. This is following the spending freezes
earlier this year, many organizations got together and started this.
They're aimed at pushing corporations and the federal government to

(16:42):
restore DEI programs and address the social and economications that
have come about this year under this current administration. So, Griff,
what they're asking is all the businesses that we know
where they have stores all over the place. If there's
more than one, then please try not to buy with
them and stick with our small businesses. Give them the support,

(17:05):
and especially on Small Business Saturday, which is a normal thing.
But looking at Black Friday as well as Cyber Monday
and Cyber Tuesday, trying to stay off the internet for
that as well.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
I've never heard of Small Business Saturday. I'm glad you
told us about that. Yeah, I've never heard of it. Okay,
so let's get a good news story before you go.
Kevin Durant's mother wanted Durant spearhead thanksgiving effort for families
in need.

Speaker 6 (17:32):
Definitely tell us.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
About that, Mama Durant, Kevin's mom. He began this commitment
and service to his grandmother's kitchen where he learned to
helping others with a core part of his family's values,
and that continues through the Durant Family Turkey Meal Giveaway,
which provided hundreds of DMV families on the East Coast

(17:54):
holiday meals last week. At the Bishop Macnamara High School,
Missus Durant said, the tradition of giving is generational, looted
in her grandmother, Esther Durant's practice of feeding and caring
for neighbors in the needs. That's what a lot of
us have come up in and some of us have
forgotten that, but not Kevin Durant's mom, Missus Durant, and

(18:16):
his traditional charity. There, the Durant Family Turkey Meal Giveaway.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
Very nice, very nice, Sybil wilks, ladies and gentlemen telling
us what we need to know.

Speaker 6 (18:25):
Thank you so much for being with us today.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
I want for holiday.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Thank you and same to you all right, guys, make
sure you follow her on social media at Sibil Wilkes
and check out her YouTube show Monday through Friday, eight
seventh Central, and make sure you stay aware and informed.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
Thank you so much, Sybil, Thank you my friend.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Be well and very thankful for you.

Speaker 4 (18:47):
Same here, Same here, I guys, stick around. We got
more goodness and godness on the way.

Speaker 6 (18:51):
Shit a bea.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
If you're listening to Get Up Erica Campbell, real God
of the Day on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Well, I started back with my trainer yesterday. I have
not seen don Strozer, who you've heard her voice for
healthy ever after a few times, I've not seen her
and worked out with her probably for uh six months
maybe seven. And you know, initially I was calling her
because Kristin was coming back and we're gonna work out together.

Speaker 6 (19:30):
But Krista pushed her flight back. So it's all on me.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
And you know, in my mind, I don't know what
it is about just getting up that can be a struggle.
In my mind, I was like, just Coller and Teller,
you're gonna push it back collar and tell her you're
gonna go to my own No but I got my
butt up and I went to the gym. And so
when I go to the gym, I do what I do,
but I don't do the hardest thing. She starts with

(19:53):
the hardest things. The arm raises, the front lifts, the
side lifts, the squats while holding the weights. The side
squats where you stand on a slightly elevated space of
this little thing that you stand on and you step
side to side with the weights in your hand.

Speaker 6 (20:10):
Just y'all. She had me doing everything. But guess what,
that's the only way I'm gonna get stronger.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
That's the only way I'm gonna get the muscles, that
the definition that I'm looking for. That's the only way
to maintain my body. So as much as I don't
like it, I know it is good for me. I
know it makes me responsible with my body. It makes
me a good steward over this one body I get.
It keeps me from saying, you know, I really I
just want to tone up a little bit. You know,
we say that, but then we don't go to the gym.
We don't do the thing. And listen, I've been healthy,

(20:40):
I've gotten in shape, I've had the tone that I wanted,
and I've lost it and gained the weight. And you know,
I even tried surgery one time. Then I got pregnant
and so I was you know, they sucked it out,
and the fact the baby put all the fat back
on me. So I've been all the versions of trying
to get it off. But I realized it never happens
without work. Not one of the gimmicks have ever worked. Now,

(21:01):
none of the quick stuff has ever worked. It has
to be a combination of discipline, patience, and commitment. Discipline,
patience and commitment, discipline to do it, patient enough with
your progress, because sometimes if you're not losing as fast,
you'll give up. Discipline, patient and commit it, stay committed.

(21:22):
A lot of times the things we try are not
working because you haven't tried it long enough. It was
one week or two weeks, and you didn't get fat
in two weeks. I love us all so much, but
we didn't get fat in two weeks, so it's not
coming off in two weeks. I don't care what the
ads say, I don't care how many posts you say.
All I got to do is put some lemon water
in a little apple side of being, and I'm gonna
lose all the way. No, you've got to do the work.

(21:46):
You've got to put the work in. So whether you
have a trainer or not, to get up and do
something for your body. That's the way of saying God,
I thank you for this one body that I have
treat it well. We know this is Thanksgiving week, so
we all gonna be eating everything, Yes we are, but
we've got to make sure we do the work. So
whether you're going walk in a day before, the day of,
of the day after, or all three, because that works
to discipline, patient commitment. That's what we need to get

(22:10):
where we want to be. All right, So y'all pray
for me as I'm on my journey again, and I'll
pray for you all you're on yours. That's the area
is with the day. I love you and I mean
it all right, y'all, the joys and concerns are up next. Uh.
Griff got a good one for us, so don't miss it.
Plus we got more great gospel music on the way.
Make sure you are following us on social media and

(22:31):
if you need to leave a message on the request line,

Speaker 6 (22:36):

that's the the request one.

Speaker 17 (22:42):

Speaker 1 (22:56):

Speaker 10 (23:03):

Speaker 4 (23:04):

whoa but first, giving honor to God who's ahead of
my life.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
I'd like to say.

Speaker 5 (23:41):
I'm the last to be in the House of the
Lord on one more time, elder girl, because he brought
me from a mighty mighty long way.

Speaker 6 (23:51):
Coach Mike Jacobs. I could have been dead, sleeping in
the grave. But God is good all the time and
all the time.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
Yeah, I'm gonna just get right into y'all. Know y'all
can't tell me nothing. I'm gonna tell me, right. So
a friend of mine said she got a cousin. They
got this procedure. Now, I know about the bbls and
the tucks and the lifts and all the other things, right,
but this is what I just never heard of it.

Speaker 10 (24:20):
I was trying. She said, you can't tell the wody grip.
I said, I might not.

Speaker 6 (24:25):
But her her family member got a forehead meat reduction.

Speaker 10 (24:31):
Now I looked it up.

Speaker 5 (24:33):
I promise you a forehead meat reduction, but your hairline.

Speaker 6 (24:38):
They pull your hairline back or something.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
But then, like, no one can.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
Tell you got a forehead meat reduction because it still
looked like the forehead.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Meat is so weird. Let me tell you something.

Speaker 5 (24:49):
You know, when you go to heaven, you have a
big forehead and the actually large halo. Right, it's gonna
come back when you get there, and then and then
away a bit, and then it might be a has
actual lawsuit commercial that say, did you have a forehead
meat reduction between twenty twenty four and twenty thirty.

Speaker 6 (25:05):
You are alive, But what's the money?

Speaker 16 (25:08):
Now?

Speaker 1 (25:08):
Lady?

Speaker 3 (25:09):
Dam it?

Speaker 6 (25:10):
Y'all laughing, But okay, it's a forehead reduction.

Speaker 5 (25:13):
But I always said forehead meat, a forehead meat reduction.

Speaker 6 (25:19):
What did you think was gonna happen?

Speaker 8 (25:22):
What?

Speaker 3 (25:22):
What did?

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Are they pulled? Stay up?

Speaker 10 (25:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (25:27):
Is the airline down?

Speaker 5 (25:29):
Yeah? Listen, somebody in that car right now is saying
I'm gonna keep my forehead meat exactly.

Speaker 6 (25:34):
You can say all right, and you can wear a pain.
That's what I'm gonna say. Somebody else is saying, girl,
if you don't swoosh that hair on the left hands,
swoop it and stop playing.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
You can say any all right. But if you like me,
you know somebody who got a forehead meat reduction. Stare
right cause you look at that that faith going now?
Pretty sure there's something wrong your foot. No, it's called
a forehead reduction. I'm looking at I've been looking at.

(26:05):
I've been laying there on the morning. I ain't want
no meat.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
I say forehead meat, but also say iye, last meet
and shouldered me.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
And then you're talking about.

Speaker 6 (26:18):
Forehead meat production.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
You're gonna get to heaven, You're gonna have your halo
gonna be so big, Jesus is gonna have to.

Speaker 6 (26:25):
Hold it unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Wow, you're looking at it right, rock anything, Nah, I'm
a rock with a band. Listen, because I got an
abundant forehead too. My hairline, myrlet, my hairline don't cooperate with.

Speaker 6 (26:40):
Me, so shuck it up.

Speaker 12 (26:41):
But you know what.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
You're listening to, Peo Bullets, Get Up Mornings, America Camp
of Loving Jesus, in Loving you, hope you are saying
that today is a day of victory for me. Matter
of fact, the whole week, the week ahead is a
week of victory. Say that to yourself. Did you pull
up that uh beforehand?

Speaker 12 (27:10):
Me?

Speaker 6 (27:10):
Reduction?

Speaker 16 (27:11):
I did not.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
Let you live your life. I'm gonna believe you.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
I just don't believe you.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
Listen, guys, coming up this hour, we'll talk to Bishop
Bruce Parham. He's about to do a live recording in
Philly and also Wake Up and Went Doctor Willie Jolly.
His message is choose excellence. Music from Ada, Lison, ol
Smith and Josh Copeland. Here's Rudy Currence with God, don't cancer,
you don't get up Morning. Welcome. All the line with

(27:44):
us today is pastor and recording artist Bishop Bruce Parham.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
Bishop Parham, welcome back to Get Up Mornings.

Speaker 10 (27:50):
Yes, thank you so good to be with you today.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
Yes, so listen.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
You're known for the chart topping single that you did
with Tanisha Harris of The Voice.

Speaker 6 (28:00):
Briefly introduce it and we'll come back and talk more
about it.

Speaker 10 (28:03):
This song was done at the last minute, believe it
or not, ten years ago.

Speaker 5 (28:08):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (28:08):
And that's always call on Jesus.

Speaker 6 (28:11):
Here is call on Jesus. On get that morning.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
That Bishop Bruce Farnhand was called on Jesus and that
song became a major moment for gospel radio. So what
stands out to you most about how listeners embraced that song?

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Wow.

Speaker 18 (28:31):
I think the truth of the matter is sometimes we
had those moments when we want to talk to somebody,
you know, our humanity desires to share where we are,
and the reality is sometimes people just don't understand.

Speaker 10 (28:44):
Where you are and what you're going through. You can
always call on Jesus.

Speaker 18 (28:48):
You can always talk to him about anything and nothing
that you're going through surprises him.

Speaker 6 (28:54):
So listen.

Speaker 18 (28:56):
So he's always available, always listening. Yeah, and that's where
you get your break through being able to reach out
to him.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
Many people first connected with your ministry through your years
of singing with James Cleveland. What lessons did you learn
and what are those lessons still shaping how you create
in lead worship today?

Speaker 10 (29:17):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Wow?

Speaker 10 (29:19):
Well I was like twenty two when I first started
singing with her over yeah, and I'm fifty nine now,
so that will tell you that time train.

Speaker 18 (29:29):
I remember him saying that some of the greatest singers
have not been discovered yet, and it impacted me so
much because maybe six months before that he had never
heard me sing before. I just so happened to be
at a workshop in Saint Louis and he heard me
sing and asked me to be a Cleveland singer. And

(29:50):
I watched that experience traveling with him. I went from
singing at church to singing on major stages and it
was a big jump. But it's amazing that God can
prepare you for a season of your life that you
have no idea you're about to walk into, and was
able to see.

Speaker 10 (30:10):
You know, things happen, and be in the settings and.

Speaker 18 (30:13):
Meet so many amazing artists and people. I always treasure that,
and I always tell people that you know, you never
know when your day is going to be there, but
be prepared.

Speaker 6 (30:24):
Come on, I love that. Grips go ahead.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Yeah, speaking of preparing, you are preparing to record your
next project on Monday, the first featuring camer Real, Josh
Copeland at Grace Cathedral and Trent new Journey.

Speaker 6 (30:38):
Talk about that.

Speaker 10 (30:40):
Yeah, man, this is amazing for me.

Speaker 18 (30:42):
It's been about seven years since I've done a project,
and so I'm excited to have them with me, Josh Copeland,
some great choirs that are going to be with.

Speaker 10 (30:51):
Me as well.

Speaker 18 (30:53):
And this particular project is very, very exciting because my
youngest daughter is singing and my Hobes son is playing
the drums in this career, so this one is really.

Speaker 10 (31:03):
It's really touching.

Speaker 8 (31:04):
It.

Speaker 10 (31:04):
It really means a lot to me.

Speaker 6 (31:06):
Bishop. We know that you are the lead of this group,
but how do you prepare your singers for live recording?

Speaker 10 (31:12):
How do I prepare them?

Speaker 4 (31:14):
I think, are you more Maddie Moss Clark, are you
more Kirk Carr?

Speaker 6 (31:19):
How are you with the choirs? Because you know, some
of the wire maths don't polite.

Speaker 10 (31:23):
They didn't play no.

Speaker 18 (31:25):
I think I think to some degree, any artist is
going to be very particular and you know, kind of.

Speaker 10 (31:31):
Over the over the over the edge of stuff.

Speaker 18 (31:34):
But I think when you have the right group of people,
I took time to really pull these voices together, and
in our sessions they've been very creative. They've also kind
of helped me create the sound that I wanted. So
it made it easy. It really made it easy, very nice.
Gestures and ideas and all of that. It made it easy,
very nice.

Speaker 6 (31:54):
I love it. So how do we get tickets and
how do we stay connected to you?

Speaker 10 (31:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (31:59):
Tickets.

Speaker 10 (32:00):
See, we're doing them at the door, right there at
the door.

Speaker 18 (32:03):
It is gonna be in Trenton, New Jersey, twelve seventeen
Calvin Street.

Speaker 10 (32:08):
And it starts staying connected with me.

Speaker 18 (32:10):
I'm on TikTok, i am on Instagram, I'm on Facebook,
so all of the social outlets you can, you can
find me there.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Thank you so much for being with us today. I
pray that the recording is anointed and powerful and change
his lives.

Speaker 10 (32:24):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Thank you, hey man.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
Bishop Bruce Farhand with his latest recording will take place Monday,
December first at Grace Cathedral and Trenton, New Jersey.

Speaker 6 (32:33):
Make sure you are in the building. God bless you, sir,
God bless you.

Speaker 10 (32:37):
Thank you again.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
If you're listening to get up with Erica Kim it's
to wake up and win with doctor Willie Jolly.

Speaker 19 (33:01):
This is doctor Willi Joall, and this week I've been
sharing strategies to help you stay up and moving and
winning in the midst of this challenging time. Today's message
is that crisis times are also growth times, and every
crisis and every setback, you must make a critical decision
or whether you will just react or you will respond.
To react is when you take a victim position, but
respond is where you say, you know what, I've got

(33:23):
some choices here.

Speaker 6 (33:24):
So you must realize that you cannot control what happens
to you.

Speaker 19 (33:27):
You cannot control what happens around you, but you've got
complete control over what happens in you. And today I
want you to choose that you will thrive and be
better on the other side of this crisis than you
were in the beginning. You will look for lessons to
help you in the future, because one thing is for sure,
if you live long enough, you will see more crisis situations.
So learn to not just go through this, but to
grow through it and learn from it so the next

(33:49):
time you will be better than this time. This is
doctor Willi Jolly. Go to my website and win with
Willi dot com. Win with Willy dot com for more
resources to help you win more and your best is
yet to come. I am excited to announce the limited
release of my new book, rich Is Good, Wealthy is Better.
If you want to grow your wealth, to create real

(34:10):
generational wealth and teach your family how to maintain that wealth,
then you need this book. The book is going to
be officially launched globally later this year, but we have
a small number of copies exclusively available on my website.
Only go to riches Good, Wealthy Isbetter dot com to
order your autograph copies today rich is Good, Wealthy Isbetter

(34:31):
dot Com you've heard from us.

Speaker 11 (34:34):
I'm so excited really because I got through it.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
I can get a golf.

Speaker 6 (34:39):
All right, good people, Cheryl, what are we talking about today?
All right?

Speaker 4 (34:43):
So I did a little research and found out there
are several buying boycotts happening right now. Yes, one is
the Big Beautiful Boycott. The boycott this list several businesses
that has eliminated THEI initiatives and has financially supported the
Trump administration. So each week on the Big Beautiful Boycott,
they've been giving you different stores. You know, what I

(35:05):
mean that have been supportive of that that you could boycott,
and that's been going on for a few weeks right now, right.
But then there's the we ain't buying a campaign, and
that's the one I think that Sybil was talking about today.
Those are the few e commerce stores and a few
stores like Target, Home Depot and Amazon that you're supposed
to boycott until December fifth. And then finally there's this

(35:29):
initiative to buy black from now until December fifth as well,
only by black.

Speaker 6 (35:35):
So there's a couple of initiatives that you know that's out.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
There, and I'm not sure, but I wanted to know
from the Get Up Church, are you guys following the
boycotts and are you actually going to participate?

Speaker 6 (35:47):
I think I am, Yes, I am. I definitely am.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
We buy a lot in my house and so first
of all, my wallet could use the palls, and I'm
just asking myself do I need it? Do I absolutely needed?
And if I don't, then you know, then I can chill,
you know. I just I know that economic power is
where it is. You know, we can post and talk
and sometimes even walk, but when you start withholding them dollars,

(36:13):
if you have.

Speaker 6 (36:14):
To change and change. Sure, sure, So what about you, Griff,
I am definitely about that life.

Speaker 5 (36:22):
I've been going black with probably I've been doing I've
been you know, I've been on that black app the
Black Black, and I've just been finding different things and
plumbers and electricians and all, you know what I'm saying.
And I feel good about it. It feels good to
see us helping us. And then they're like thanks, And

(36:43):
then I go extra and go on the Yelp and
the Google comments and best service use them five star,
you know. And I cannot do Amazon at home depot
for a minute now. Yeah, there's three quick candles.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
The whole Amazon thing is just convenience, so you don't
have to keep going in the stores.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
But for the next few days, I can do that.
I can do that. I can certainly stand.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
And you're right, Eric, I think that, you know, people
have to see the power of the dollar, you know,
and that the you know, the middle class and the
low income families are holding the country like we're the
ones being penalized and that's crazy.

Speaker 6 (37:21):
But they need to see the economic value. So yeah,
I can.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
We're important, we are important, and our dollars are important.

Speaker 6 (37:28):
What we need should have attention paid to it.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
Okay, So we want to know are you participating in
any of the buying boycotts this season? Eight seven seven
two for two two four two six? Are you participating
in any of the buying boycotts? Give us a call
eight seven seven two for two Yeah for six, Yeah,
no judgment because you know everybody is different, but you
know when we stand together, we are more powerful. Eight
seven seven two for two two four two six. Are

(37:53):
you participating in any of the buying boycotts in this season?

Speaker 6 (37:57):
It's get at mornings, y'all.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
If you're listening to get up, Eric Camp, have you
heard from us now?

Speaker 6 (38:19):
Because I get through all right, good people.

Speaker 4 (38:24):
Today we are asking if you are participating in the
buying boycott. We're gonna go to the phones and talk
to Dale and Charlotte. Hey, Dale and Charlotte, are you
participating in the boycott?

Speaker 7 (38:34):
I am participating in the boycott UH specifically targeting targeted
because yeah, we need to make sure they are understanding.

Speaker 10 (38:47):
How important we are.

Speaker 17 (38:48):
We're important, but we are one of the highest consumer
spenders as a populace in the country.

Speaker 6 (38:55):
At a point where if you really.

Speaker 17 (38:56):
Don't care about doing the right thing for us and
buy us. We're gonna behold that dollar. I just found
out that I didn't know Amazon owns whole food.

Speaker 10 (39:08):
That's hurt right now. I've hurt.

Speaker 1 (39:12):
Yeah, I'm hurt.

Speaker 10 (39:14):
I've heard. I'm really hurt.

Speaker 17 (39:15):
But I'm doing the thing. I'm not gonna I was
gonna go grab a turkey. No, I'm gonna have to
do this thing by hand. Now I'm gonna do it.

Speaker 10 (39:22):
By hand today. So here we go.

Speaker 6 (39:23):
All right, here we go. Dale. Thank you for calling.

Speaker 10 (39:27):
I love you guys. Keep doing what you do. Thank
you for being vigilous. Goodnight.

Speaker 5 (39:31):
Hey seven seven two six, it's time for the get
up poll. Let's go to New Jersey and talk to Sharon. Sharon,
are you participating in the boycott?

Speaker 11 (39:40):
Yes, I am. But the dilemma is we're trying to
get toys to the children of the church and the community,
and you know, Amazon, a target, has been the big
go to begetting to you know, the members, purchasing choice
for the motel.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
You can go directly, Ma tell Mattel has sent boxes
to my church for several years.

Speaker 6 (40:06):
Thank you so much. Yep, that's good to know.

Speaker 11 (40:10):
Thank you so much, thank you.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Thank you for calling. Bless you Jerome in North Carolina. Jerome,
are you participating in the buying boycott?

Speaker 16 (40:19):
Yes, I am participating in the buying boycott. And also
I just want to say that, you know, I have
all well most of my adult life, I have been
intentional about buying black just because as an entrepreneur myself,
I have a you know, a trucking business and I
also am a licensed insurance agent. I just see a

(40:43):
need that we need to stick together, We need to
pull our dollars together and you know, just do better
as a community, because you know, our money is really
our boys right now. Yes, you know, they don't take.

Speaker 10 (40:57):
Us seriously until we hit them in the pockets.

Speaker 16 (41:00):
And I just you know, I fell in ligned with
doctor Bryant's boycott of Target, and I just see the
power of you know, us sticking together and spending our
money with our own. And uh, I just want to
say good morning to you Aerica, to Cheryl, and to
Grit I mean Griff.

Speaker 5 (41:23):
I like.

Speaker 6 (41:26):
And pinos Venos hey man, looks.

Speaker 10 (41:29):
I'm still a fan.

Speaker 16 (41:30):
And I feel your pain, you know, because we we're
not doing good and and and but we're doing better
than the raiders.

Speaker 1 (41:37):
So appreciate.

Speaker 10 (41:46):
Great day and have a happy Thanksgiving.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
William from Maryland is on the line. Hey William, are
you participating in the buying boycott?

Speaker 8 (41:53):
No?

Speaker 18 (41:53):
I am not gonna tell you the reason why Barbe
tell you not to return evil for evil, and also
that our people got stocked.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
In that and I personally got stocking, and we shouldn't
be doing stuff with evil.

Speaker 6 (42:08):
Though there is a keeping my dollar? Is it evil
for me to keep my dollars where I want to
keep them?

Speaker 10 (42:13):
Is it evil? Supports me?

Speaker 5 (42:17):
Right?

Speaker 1 (42:18):
But we well know.

Speaker 14 (42:20):
This is it the thing?

Speaker 3 (42:21):
God got everything in your control.

Speaker 6 (42:23):
We can't play that game. He did tell us to
take domainion, so then we have some options in what
we do. But I understand you. I hope your stockings fine, yeah.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
But consider what I'm saying because the whole truth.

Speaker 6 (42:35):
Thank you sir, Ye bye? You will all right? There
It is there, there, it is there.

Speaker 4 (42:41):
Everybody got reasons and feelings, and it's okay to call
and share.

Speaker 6 (42:45):
But I do know that we have economic power.

Speaker 4 (42:48):
And then when we pull our dollars together and we
remove them from people who don't think much of us
and don't provide in ways that serve our community. Then
we change the whole dynamic. At Stick Around, we got
more on the way. It's Get Up Morning.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
If you're listening to Get Off America camp.

Speaker 4 (43:07):
Good morning and people is Get Up Morning's I'm America Campbell,
loving Jesus and loving you on a terrific Tuesday, November
the twenty fifth.

Speaker 10 (43:15):
Listen.

Speaker 4 (43:15):
I hope you are enjoying this great gospel music today.
But listen, review and compare all of your twenty twenty
six coverage options during Medicare open enrollment. Visit Medicare dot gov.
Open enrollment ends December seventh. It's paid for by the
US Department of Health and Human Services. All right, it's
coming up this hour. Let's see the love talk. Sure
will have the training topics and Griff will have the

(43:37):
quick sports ad minute music from Karen Fla Sheared, Todd Dulaney,
and Jordanne Armstrong. Here's Dante Bow with Grateful on Get
Up Morning. Let's talk about hold love for God, so
love the world, y'all.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
Love talk on.

Speaker 10 (43:50):
Get Up Morning.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
Yes, it is time for the love talk of the day.
And I got a question for you. How do you
leave when you leave your loved one. Do you give
it kids goodbye? Do you give a hug aby? Do
you just say all right, babe? Do you you know
if you're different parts of the house or do you
make it intentional to connect before you leave? Let me
tell you about the power of hugs. It's gonna sound

(44:12):
far fetched, but I'm telling you this is this is
what Google told me. Google said hugs are powerful because
they release hormones like oxytocin and oxytocin and serotonin and dopamine,
which reduce stress, improve mood, and build trust and social connection.
Beyond the psychological benefits, hugging can also strengthen the immune system,

(44:34):
lower blood pressure, and provide physical and emotional pain. Even
self hugging or other forms of touching can relate a
similar calming effect when you wrapping your arms around yourself.
And I know if you hear that, you'd be like, now,
they putting too much on it. But if you tried it,
do you intentionally hug like this morning? You know my

(44:55):
house is a different house. I get up in the
middle of the night where my husband is just coming
back to get in a bed for the studio, and
this morning's hug was just warm and good and started
my day right, you know. But sometimes he's sleep and
I'm getting up and I don't always get my hug,
but when I do, it definitely feels like a reconnect,

(45:15):
like a little baby reboot. Even if you know there's
been busyness and I've been gone and he been gone.
It maybe we got, you know, in disagreement about something
or the kids, we disagreed something or.

Speaker 6 (45:26):
Whatever it is. That hug is like a reboots. I
want you all to try that.

Speaker 4 (45:30):
I want you to try, you know, when those moments
get difficult, or maybe you get through the moments and
y'all just go to your separate corners because you was.

Speaker 6 (45:37):
Upset about whatever it is you upset about, which is normal.

Speaker 4 (45:39):
It's not a bad thing. It's just a normal part
of the growth of relationship ending with a hug.

Speaker 6 (45:46):
Just try and see how that works.

Speaker 4 (45:48):
You know, we're always looking for things to make things better,
because you know how black women, you know, we don't
ask for a hug. We just say you're hunger, you
want something to eat, and that's supposed to mean everything
is okay. But before you say or ask, do you
want something to eat? To let them know I still
want to take care of you. Hug, give them hugs.

Speaker 6 (46:07):
Just try it. I'm telling it's really great. It'll change
the way you look at hugs. It really will.

Speaker 4 (46:12):
All right, guys, that's the love talk of the day.
Somebody in their car rolling their eyes like Erica hugs. Yes,
I'm telling you, and hold on to them for a minute.
Don't just quick pat pat hug. I mean like, hold
on to them.

Speaker 6 (46:24):
You know that, quick pat pat, you get on my nerves.
I don't feel like hug and.

Speaker 4 (46:26):
You, but no, like for real. Embrace them before you go,
before you go out into the day. Embrace the one
that you share your life with. Embrace the one that
you gave your name or took the name however you
handled it in your love relationships. But with a hug,
and hold on to each other. And then go out
into the world and watch how you feel. That's the
love talk of the day, all right, guys. Stick around.

(46:47):
Trending topics is up next time, get.

Speaker 6 (46:49):
Up on it.

Speaker 1 (46:59):
If you're listening to get up Eric Camp, get up
the morning. Find out what everybody's talking about right now.
Take it over the web.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (47:09):
It's trending topics up to the minute.

Speaker 6 (47:12):
All right, tell us what's trending?

Speaker 10 (47:14):
All right?

Speaker 4 (47:14):
This came across the news yesterday and had my head scratched.
The Department of Government Efficiency or DOGE is officially out
of business.

Speaker 6 (47:23):
With eight more with more than eight months left in
the charter.

Speaker 4 (47:27):
The director of OPM or you know, Office Personnel Management
says that that agency doesn't exist anymore.

Speaker 16 (47:35):
Now.

Speaker 4 (47:35):
The crazy part is that it was created right after,
of course, President Donald Trump went into office, and it
was supposed to be established to create efficiency in the
federal government. And so now it doesn't exist after you've
dissolved US eight after you've disbanded jobs and turned and

(47:57):
cut off agencies, and now it just doesn't exist anymore.

Speaker 1 (48:03):
Right, It's correct.

Speaker 6 (48:05):
What world are we living in right now? What world?

Speaker 4 (48:09):
So Elon Musk, of course, was one of the ones
who was spearheading it, and he you know, fell out
with Donald Trump, so he's no longer the head of it.
The other government the other guy went, you know, resigned
and he's now governor of his state, and so nobody's
manning it.

Speaker 6 (48:26):
And now o PM is saying it.

Speaker 4 (48:28):
Doesn't even exist anymore, y'all. Yesterday was the first day
they made that that public. And you know, I have
friends who worked in USAID and went to work and
then it was no more agency like one countries that
was getting funding from US and helping to feed is

(48:50):
no longer in place, y'all.

Speaker 6 (48:51):
Just disband. That's just one agency.

Speaker 4 (48:54):
And then all of the riffs and the letters in
the right and now now the agency don't even ext this.

Speaker 6 (49:00):
Anymore, y'all. This is in shame, man. All right, I'm
moving on. Twenty twenty five.

Speaker 4 (49:07):
Essence Holiday celebration is happening, and our girl, Kiara Sheard
is on the lineup.

Speaker 6 (49:13):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (49:14):

blood pressure up.

Speaker 6 (49:20):
But yeah, knock it out.

Speaker 4 (49:27):
Juffy it Yeah, Simony Tummy anyway, Comedian DC Young Flighters
hosting it. Actress and advocate Kat Graham is also going
to be a part of it. So it's a dynamic
lineup bridging gospel, R and B contemporary sounds and she's
gonna be on that with a chance to rapper along

(49:47):
with Amber Riley, Cee Lo Green. Celebrated vocalist Lena Burn
Miles is on this as well. So yeah, I love it.
So make sure you guys check it out. It's called
Essence Holiday Celebration and go ahead. It was actually produced
by one of the ministers at our church, George Young,

(50:09):
and they filmed some of it at our church. Chance Chants,
the Rappers and a few other people they filmed at
our church, so our church was over there looking like Christmas.

Speaker 6 (50:18):
Oh, I'm excited about watching it. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (50:20):
It's gonna premiere November twenty seventh on YouTube and Essence
dot com, so we'll definitely be watching that.

Speaker 6 (50:28):
I love that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all right.

Speaker 4 (50:32):
And speaking of Thanksgiving, Triple A is talking about, of
course record number of people who's jumping on the road
and traveling by air, and so the best times to
travel is before noon today, tomorrow Thanksgiving, I mean even
coming back. They're saying before noon is the best time.

they're saying. Don't say it, Chris to got a flight today, Lord, Jesus, truck, grace, Father,
