It’s a powerhouse Monday on Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell as beauty mogul and pastor Dr. Kym Lee King steps in as guest co-host, bringing her signature mix of humor, honesty, and heartfelt inspiration. In her Faith Walk, Kym shares a message called “Next Chapter Faith,” reminding listeners that God isn’t finished writing their story — even when life feels like it’s on pause. Drawing from Jeremiah 29:11, she urges believers to “keep walking even when you can’t see what’s next,” assuring that the same faith that carried them this far might not be the same faith needed for the next chapter.

Financial expert Jini Thornton joins for Money Mondays, breaking down how the government shutdown is impacting millions of Americans, including furloughed federal workers and veterans, while offering practical advice for managing bills and staying financially stable during crises. “Don’t run and hide—call your creditors,” she says, reminding listeners that communication is key during tough times.

Later, in her Love Talk, Kym gets deeply personal about “loving what God wants you to love,” reflecting on her journey from the beauty industry to ministry and how God transformed her first love—makeup—into a new mission of healing souls. Rounding out the episode are trending stories on Michael Jackson’s upcoming biopic and Outkast’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, giving listeners a perfect balance of faith, finances, and culture.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Up Mornings with Erica Campbell. I'm Kim Lee in for
Erica today and it's.

Speaker 8 (06:05):
Time for the Faith Walk and I'm gonna be sharing
today about next chapter Faith Now.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Listen.

Speaker 8 (06:10):
For those that don't know me completely, I am an
avid reader and I also love a good suspense film.
Like I come from those days of when we used
to watch the stories. You remember that we used to
love to hear the next chapter. But one thing I
love about a good book or a good suspense, thriller
or whatever, the next chapter always, that chapter always leaves
you anticipating what's next. And you know what, when you

(06:32):
finish one page or you finish one of the series,
you almost want to exhale, and you hear that whisper
to yourself, Okay, like, what's gonna happen next? And I
want to encourage somebody who is wondering what's gonna happen
next in your book, what's gonna happen next in your thriller,
your suspense, your life, because many times we feel like
God is done with us. And I heard a song

(06:54):
this morning that really blessed me by Chandler Moore, and
it says, He's not done with you yet. There's so
much more to your story. He's not done with you yet.
So between the commas and the question marks, there is
a definite story.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Now, even my own story.

Speaker 8 (07:08):
You guys, like I just am in this moment of
my life where I've made all these accomplishments in the
beauty industry. I've wrote a book and powm and speaking pastoring.
But God, what's next? What's next, what's after this period?
What comes next? And God really encouraged me as I
was sitting there thinking about it. He said, you know what, Kim,
I'm not done with you yet either. And sometimes I

(07:29):
find myself standing on the edge of every page of
my life right And one time I remember saying to myself, God,
I don't see any writing next. I don't see any cues.
I don't see any indicators. I don't see any characters.
I don't see anything that's going to cue me that
there is a next. And God said, I'm not finished
with your story. I don't know how many times we

(07:50):
thought that God was done with us, and he said,
I know the plans I have towards you. And so
a lot of times we think that there is no plan,
that there is no ending, but there is and expected
in and so on this faith walk today, I want
to just remind you of this particular scripture and as
he Brews eleven and eight, and it says by faith
Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to

(08:12):
a place that he would later receive his inheritance. He
went out not knowing where he was going.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
I want to just.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
Encourage somebody this morning, on this faith walk, to not
stop walking, to not stop believing, to not stop dreaming,
to not stop just reaching, not stop your goals, because
sometimes you.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
Don't see what's next.

Speaker 8 (08:31):
And what you have to do is you have to
walk into that next And the same faith that got
you to this chapter might not be the same faith
you need to get to the next one. So I
want you to increase your faith. I want you to
read your word, and I want you to remember what
God has promised you. God never ends a chapter without
already scripting a next one, So as long as your
book is open, as long as you're still breathing, there

(08:52):
is a next chapter. So you might not want, might
not see the full story yet. But He's already outlined
this plot. He already has the lessons in store, He
already has the victories ahead. And Jeremiah twenty nine eleven
reminds us he said, for I know the plans I
have for you, says the Lord plans to prosper you,
not to harm you, and to give you a hope

(09:14):
for a future. There is a future. There is a future.
And I hope that this faith walk blesses somebody today. Listen,
I don't want you to start walking. I don't want
you to stop dreaming. The book is still open and
there's so many chapters.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Left to be read. Oh that's so good, that's awesome.

Speaker 8 (09:30):
Yeah, somebody who think there's stuff, you know, keep working
out assignment, keep working out assignment until the next chapter open. Yeah. Yeah,
there's definitely more. There's definitely next. And I think people don't.
They stand in there now, but they don't see what next.
Eyes and so it's really difficult to do when you
don't see any indicators. But listen, just like those stories
I used to watch as the world turning. Oh, the

(09:52):
world is turning, it's turning, and something is getting ready
to happen. So I just wanted to be encouraged with
to somebody this morning or Get Up Mornings where Air Campbell.
But listen up next, we got birthday shouder. Yeah, birthday

want to hear all about Chryl and Caersel. Over the weekend.
I was at Florida Memorial University. That's an HBC you
in South Florida. I didn't even know it was close
to Miami. I was at the Legacy Gala or Gala
but never Jalla with New Jerusalem Impact Church and my

(16:10):
guy guy, doctor Kenneth Duke.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
He's such a blessing in my life.

Speaker 18 (16:14):
Man.

Speaker 7 (16:14):
It was a singer there named te Mehra who blew
the house down, and the band there was priceless. We
had a great time in Miami. We were actually in
Opa Laca and Miami Gardens, so that ain't really Miami.
Then came home Saturday, did nothing, and Sunday we went
Christmas shopping for everything. We got trees, Sheryl, I got

(16:36):
a nineteen foot grench. Wow, I'm putting in front of
the house. And the people was coming to do the
lights this week on the outside of the house. What
did you do in kirazal shir oh Man?

Speaker 8 (16:49):
Thank you first off for suggesting us to go and
Adrianna's house in Kirsau was our villa? Thirteen rooms was
I mean, we had thirteen people, but of course we
only came nine rooms because we had a lot of couples.
But grin from everything from start to finish. First off,
the food and cure us out is amazing. First night
we did a food truck. We went grocery shopping. Second

(17:11):
night we did massages at the villa. Okay, and when
I tell you, they were amazing. Adrianna suggested the massus
and she was awesome. I mean she didn't slack on
any of us and we had a great time doing that.
We ended up that day at a food truck that
was there, agetting.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
The food was good.

Speaker 8 (17:30):
Next day we did Mambo Beach, which is the biggest
beach or the most commercial beach they had there. We
spent the day at Mambo Beach. Some of my friends
went to went mountain climbing that day. We did ATVing,
went to the beginning where where they started carousel at
a volcanic eruption.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
That was good.

Speaker 8 (17:50):
Like all week long, we just had some amazing times.
I went snorkeling, I did some adventurous things. A lot
of people had first opportunities like earth climbing this mount
and a lot of people were you know who didn't swim,
did some snorkeling and really just we just kind of
went got outside our comfort zone and I rested, I

(18:10):
got up when I wanted to get up, ate when
I wanted to eat. I am so refreshed, as you
can tell. I'm on ten today. I so needed that
in my life, Thank you, real girl. Eight eighty nine
degrees with windy, so it was always a nice breeze,
so it wasn't it was never too much. That's why

(18:31):
I was great to lay out in the sun because
the breeze was just so good and the house grip.
I would just lay outside by the pool in the
evening time and just pray. It was just you know
when you get around the the you know outside like that,
you just you just connect to God.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
Kim, did you do something fabulous? Fabulous? What's your shi?

Speaker 8 (18:51):
But definitely something meaningful, definitely next chapter for me. I
am officially a board member for by All This House,
based out of Dallas, Texas, one of the largest nonprofit
in Dallas, Texas as a faith based nonprofit organization that
is founded to serve young pregnant women and teen mothers
who are experiencing crises, homelesses, lack of support. So they're
bringing that here to the Baltimore area and so I

(19:13):
sit on the board.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
So we were actually moving into.

Speaker 8 (19:15):
The house and so we have some pretty incredible people
coming next Wednesday for our grant opening. I can't wait
to share more tomorrow. But yeah, it's pretty dope. It's
pretty dope. I got my photography hat. It's so I'm
excited about that.

Speaker 19 (19:27):
If you're listening to Get Up Camp, this is Jim
Drops with a Terra Star Wifield, brought to you by
the Dear Future WIFEI podcast on Jim Drops, I cut
relationship truths with precision and give you clarity in under
sixty seconds. Today's Jim. If they got you, don't resurrect them.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Listen.

Speaker 19 (19:49):
If they disappeared without explanation. Let them stay gone. You
don't need closure from confusion. You don't need to rekindle
what our lady learns you. Some people walk out because
God cleared the path, and here you go, texting the
pay road. He just delivered you from Stop reopening doors

(20:11):
that peace had already shut.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
If they go to you, that was the answer. You
just didn't like to deliver it. Now let me see
you shine. There you go.

Speaker 19 (20:21):
Don't stop on one gym, grab the whole treasure chests
on the Dear Future Wifey podcast available everywhere. Podcast Dreaming
Power by the Urban one podcast Network.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
If you're listening to get Up, Get Up one for
Erica Campbell.

Speaker 8 (20:35):
I'm Kim Lee and for Erica today and I am
going to give you my Kim thought for the day.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
And you know what, I want to free somebody. I
want to let somebody loose.

Speaker 8 (20:45):
I want them just to loose theyself real quick, shake
yourself loose and accept.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
What God allows. It's just that simple.

Speaker 8 (20:52):
It's one of them Kim moments that I want you
to just take it, put it in your hip pocket
and save it for a rainy day, because you know
what it's we have all been in those seasons, but
we've been trying to figure out. We prayed about it,
we believed it, we fasted, and still God let the
situation happen, and you got to learn how to let go.
So what the job didn't call you back? So what

(21:13):
the relationship did?

Speaker 9 (21:14):
Then?

Speaker 1 (21:14):
I know you like, what are you talking about, doctor Kemp?

Speaker 8 (21:16):
Because we have to sometimes just accept those doors that
God has closed and accept what God's allows. I have
counseled so many people in this last couple of months
who have held on to closed doors, held on to
finish relationships, held on to people that have no interest
in them.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
And you know what I tell them all the time,
caryln Griff, love them hard and wear them loose. You
hard and wear them real loose.

Speaker 8 (21:43):
And the reason why is because the Bible tells us
to wear this world as a loose garment. I don't
know why we hold onto people so tight, but I
do know because we're in past and we love.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
People, and we have hearts and we have feelings.

Speaker 8 (21:52):
But at the end of the day, you have to
remember that sometimes you're walking in a space where God
wants you to just let it go. I read this
really incredible book by Mel Robbins, and I absolutely love it.
Are you familiar with the book? It's called let Them.
She says that she said, if they don't call back,
let them. If they misunderstand me, just told me about

(22:15):
that book. Oh it's powerful. It is not scripture based,
but it is definitely a faith based if that makes sense.

Speaker 1 (22:24):
Like it really does.

Speaker 8 (22:25):
Try to kind of help the person that's reading it
and the person who is understanding this whole method that
she tells you, let them, let them do what they
do so you can make room for him God to
be again to heal you. Because the longer you hold
onto it, the longer you begin to rehearse it. The
longer you play it back, the longer you go back.

(22:45):
As I talked about it, my faith walk, you go
back chapters. We passed that chapter. We're onto a new chapter.
Let them and accept what God has allowed. I'm telling
you it's not coming to break you, but it's coming
to build you. I can't stress this enough. I just
cannot stress it enough. I want people to let folks

(23:05):
and let things and let the past go.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
You can't change it.

Speaker 8 (23:09):
It's already happened. You've already apologized. I'm speaking to somebody today.
You've already tried to reconcile. You've already tried to put
out the peace sign. You've already put up the white flag.
You surrendered. Now you gotta let it go. You gotta
accept what God has allowed. Let God heal it, Let God.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Fix it, if it is to be fixed, if it
is to be here. Oh, this is a listen. You said,
love them, but where the Oh no, love them hard,
but way I'm loose. Ooh, that's it. That's all. You
can't hold on to what people do.

Speaker 8 (23:41):
You can only control your thoughts. You can only control
I'm in control of me. My self control is me
in control of it. So I have to let some
things go, and I have to allow God to do something.
I have to accept the things that he's This is
putting on your big girl panties, your big boy panties
and maturing.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
That's all it is. Fus big boy draws, put them on. Wow,
that's so good, except what God allows. Man, joys and
concerns are coming up next.

Speaker 8 (24:11):
I don't know what you're gonna talk about, but man,
after that work, you got something in your hip pocket.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
I'm sure grin, Joys and concerns are up next. Don't
get up mornings with Erica Campbell.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
If you're listening to Get Up Erica Campbell, that's the church.
Say Amen, the time for concerns, Well, think of the
Most High God.

Speaker 8 (24:50):
We're coming to your line from the get Up Church
of our Lord bapt to Costo, non denominational, denominational A
M E C M E E N G, element O
p app a Stolic Church. Oh God in Christ, Chris,
let the Lord use your bro. Thank you, substitute Pastor Suiryl.

(25:11):
That was awesome.

Speaker 9 (25:12):
You're happy birthday to my girl Sylvia Money in Italy,
Jeff Dollar and my gude father cousin Larry.

Speaker 7 (25:22):
That's my real cousin. Okay, let me explain it. We
say cousin Larry and our family. Then he went to seminary,
so we called him father cousin Larry. For first giving
honor to God who's ahead of my life. I'd like
to say I'm glad to be in the hour of
the Lord a one more time, elder girl, because he
brought me from.

Speaker 17 (25:42):
A mighty mighty long way, Father cousin Larry. I could
have been dead sleeping in the grain.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
But God is good all the time, all the time.

Speaker 7 (25:53):
God. Yes, yes, Seryl, wh you was in yourself, soaking
up sunrays, laying by the pool.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
I was asking.

Speaker 7 (26:03):
I had some decisions to make for joys and concerns,
and one of them was like, when do you put
up your Christmas stuff?

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Right now?

Speaker 7 (26:12):
My wife is about that life. I didn't tell you
how much about that life. Yesterday we went to this
place called at home. I don't know I got it
at home, okay, So we went to Low's home Depot
and Michael's and they just had trash trees and stuff.

Speaker 10 (26:29):
Right.

Speaker 7 (26:29):
We actually we got some black saners from Michaels, so
we're not mad at that. But where we normally get
our Christmas trees, they didn't have it. Oh but at
at at home, Oh my god, they are about that life.
Me and Lenika was in there. I got a twelve
foot Christmas tree. I got a nineteen foot missed a

(26:50):
grinch that's gonna go outside and blow up, and he
got a list all the naughty people. I'm so excited.
So Christmas is starting in my house. You come over
for Thanksgiving, you're gonna feel like you at the North Paul,
how about that. Now it's somebody in a car right
now saying, grip, you just gonna skip Thanksgiving. Absolutely, let's

(27:12):
go straight to Jesus birthday. You can say, all right,
somebody else saying grip, you.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
Ain't knowing about it at home?

Speaker 16 (27:17):
I did not know.

Speaker 9 (27:18):
I know.

Speaker 17 (27:19):
Now you getna say eighty all right, but you like me,
and you know Christmas starting right now, you get to say, hey, hey,
listen about that life.

Speaker 20 (27:31):
Girl.

Speaker 8 (27:32):
I'm not mad at you because it takes some effort to.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
Put Christmas stuff up and then only have it up
for a few week. I'm giving my stuff up as
long as my husband won't. We take it down were doing.

Speaker 7 (27:42):
We told the light dude outside the house from this
week about January fifteen, twenty mark birthday.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Right, that's us.

Speaker 8 (27:50):
I usually I usually start literally the day after Thanksgiving,
but if at home got stuff right now, I might
need to go.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
At home it's cracking and I wasn't read.

Speaker 8 (28:00):
Come on Christmas at the Christmas I love it all right,
Guys coming up in the next hour, then I Thornton's
gonna be in the building on Get Up Mornings with
Erica Campbell.

Speaker 11 (28:14):
It's Kendo Mornings with Erica Campbell.

Speaker 1 (28:16):

Speaker 8 (28:17):
Good friend KIMBLEE King is ind for Erica today.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Erica's taking a much needed a few days off.

Speaker 8 (28:24):
All right, it's one minute after the hour and eleven
minutes after we're gonna be talking with our finance and
Legacy expert Janni Thornton.

Speaker 6 (28:33):
Uh huh.

Speaker 8 (28:33):
Also coming up this hours Wake Up and Win with
Doctor Willie Jolly. Today's messages don't quit in the middle.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
I know that's right. Kim Woop music. We got this hour.

Speaker 8 (28:41):
So coming up next we have Jonathan Nelson, Otis Kemp
and Lena Burr Miles. But now here's t I featuring
Kirk Franklin, Young Droe and Sunday Service Choir with Thank.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
God, Gonna get up Morning, Park.

Speaker 8 (28:56):
I shall remember the Lord I got it is he
that give a tea part to get well.

Speaker 7 (29:02):
Monday morning, it's Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell. And
tomorrow is Veterans Day, a moment to honor the many
men and women who served as sacrifice for this country. Unfortunately,
several military families and government employees have been negatively impacted
by the ongoing government shut down. Our money expert Jenni
Thworton is here the update that is on the impact

(29:22):
of the shutdown and how we can help those in need.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Good morning, Janni, Hey, good morning, Happy money Monday to you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 7 (29:32):
Hey, Jani, can you break down the government shut down
and it's impact on so many people, like for the
people who don't understand.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
I don't work for the military. That ain't my business.
What's going on?

Speaker 20 (29:42):
Well, you know, griff, this was the longest shutdown in
US history. It actually started on October first, And think
about it. You have millions of folks who are not
getting paid. Some folk required to work because they're considered
essential employees. But we have millions of people. So around

(30:03):
seven hundred and fifty thousand people have been furloughed, and
then we had another seven hundred and thirty to almost
two million people who were required to work because they're
essential employees. How about that, Grins, But not getting a paycheck?

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Geez? How are veterans affected by this government shut down? Well,
let's talk about the good news.

Speaker 20 (30:23):
The VA medical centers, outpatient clinics, most of those benefits
have remained in place for vets, so that's really good news.
They've been getting their ongoing compensation, housing benefits, all of
those things. Now the only thing that has been impacted
has been like the VA transportation program. Okay, other than that,

(30:44):
our vets have been able to get their money as normal.

Speaker 7 (30:48):
What about our listeners that rely on food stamps and
SNAP benefits, how well we already know how that's affected them.

Speaker 20 (30:54):
Okay, let's talk about these food SNAP or the SNAP
benefits that stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
So you're right, the last news that.

Speaker 20 (31:03):
We had is that people were going to receive half
of their normal amounts, so that it is zero. But
if we talk about food, we're not talking about people
trying to take their families to Disney World where.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
They're talking about food exactly.

Speaker 20 (31:18):
So, and just from perspective, we almost have about forty
two million people in the US, that's about twelve percent
of the population who take advantage of these benefits GRI.

Speaker 1 (31:29):
If that's one in eight people have SNAP benefits, it's.

Speaker 20 (31:34):
Certainly important, super important that we are checking on the
people who we know who have been impacted, whether it's
from the government shutdown, whether it's from the delay or
the decrease and the SNAP benefits.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
It is our job to be gap.

Speaker 7 (31:49):
Fillers for people right now, and that's great, Jani and
I love you going there as a gap filler. What
can we do to help because I want to help.
I want to sold. This ain't about just passing out
turkey these year stuff like. I want to help help.

Speaker 10 (32:02):
Well.

Speaker 20 (32:02):
I think if I see people doing different things, I
see people who individually have just really checked on checked
on the people that they know.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
I've also seen.

Speaker 20 (32:12):
Organizations be at different churches, different nonprofits who are really galvanizing,
who are really reaching out and really reaching, you know,
to reaching out to fill the.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Gap right now.

Speaker 20 (32:24):
Our job is to put forth the effort to do
either or or both. Thank God for those of us
who have not been impacted, it is certainly an opportunity
for us to step up because people need us to
help fill the gap right now.

Speaker 7 (32:37):
We're talking with our financial legacy expert and I Jordan,
anything else you want to share with our listeners were.

Speaker 20 (32:42):
Good last thing. Those people we know who are behind
on their bills, who don't have the money, please call
every single person you owe. This is not the time
to run and hide. Called your credit card company, your
mortgage company, your landlord, your power company, and let them
know that what you have going on.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Please do not run a hide.

Speaker 20 (33:01):
Right now, it's time to communicate.

Speaker 7 (33:02):
I love that hit her on all our socials, that
j I n I Thornton on everything Jny, we love you, says.

Speaker 20 (33:10):
All right, love you back, Happy money Monday.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
If you're listening to get up Erica Campbell, it's time
to wake up and win with doctor Willie Jolly.

from my book. A setback is a set up for comeback. Look,
too many people quit in the middle of this struggle.
They give up right before the breakthrough. Friends, don't quit
in the middle. The darkest hour is right before the dawn.
The toughest fight comes right before the victory. Hold on,

(34:00):
push through, and keep going. If you stop in the middle,
you'll never see the finish line. If you quit in
the storm, you'll never see the rainbow. Don't let frustration
rob you of your future. Stay on course because the
blessing is on the other side of the battle. You
can if you think you can. Hey, this is doctor

(34:20):

Speaker 8 (35:19):
You know, last week I took so much needed time
off and Griff gave us this recommendation to to go
to the Caribbean island of where the Dutch Caribbean island
of Curesu. He did a huge You did that huge
thing for Roz back in March, was it. I know
it was Memorial Day, Memorial Day, and you shared with

(35:42):
us the villa and Adrianna's home in here South. So
we got a group of friends and we went and
I purposely turned my phone off last week and waited
for to post pictures after the trip and all of that,
because I wanted to soak up every single moment.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
I woke up to more swims, y'all, cater dinner.

Speaker 8 (36:04):
We climbed mountains, some swim with the turtles, snorkeling ATVing,
hopping beaches.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Each day.

Speaker 8 (36:11):
It was just it was awesome. It was awesome in
spite of the flight delays. I wanted to talk about
that today, y'all, because I know that you know, in
a number of major hubs, and you're in Atlanta, Griff,
I'm here in DC, and all of our both of
our hubs Erica being in LA have had flight cancelations,
flight delays.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Which is now, I have no problems either.

Speaker 7 (36:35):
You walked up, it was nobody at DSA, it was
nobody in Gleare, and I was like, what are they
writing about?

Speaker 1 (36:43):
So I don't I am not adding problems, thank god.

Speaker 8 (36:47):
Well, looks and we were blessed because coming back our
flight was delayed right thirty minutes, and everybody was like, oh,
because our hub at DCA was one of those airports.
We was like, oh, they're gonna cancel. And I was like,
I'm not believing that. I was like, we got too
much faith here, y'all gonna we're gonna believe God. And
sure enough it was only a thirty minute delay and
that was fine. So but what I wanted people to

(37:08):
know that even going into the holiday, don't be afraid
to fly. Don't be I mean, take your patience, but
don't be afraid to go to places. And you've talked
about this over and over again, Griff, get you a passport.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
Please before and not get it now before they tell
you can't have one.

Speaker 7 (37:24):
That's right, Like we were just saying it to go
places now, but get it to get like seriously, put
two hundred dollars aside and get a passboard. Man.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
Yeah no, don't.

Speaker 8 (37:37):
Yeah you have to because I feel like when you
breathe some different air, it makes you think differently. Do
you just get a whole different view of advantage point
of yourself. I know you were telling me that you
know you being away made you feel like you wanted
to start working out again, and it just invigorates a
different side of you that could probably be dormant as
you're not gone out of the country and saw that
beautiful blue water and experience that clean air, like I

(37:59):
think it's I want to hear from the Get Up Church?
What was your best vacation experience? Let's encourage somebody to
get out here, get you a passport and go somewhere.

(39:27):

me started. Thank you for calling, my dear. Have an
amazing day and a great week.

and eat food and.

Speaker 14 (40:18):
Just just really you know, take the time to just
really smell the roses.

Speaker 15 (40:24):
You know, I would definitely encourage everyone to do a
solo travel. Don't be afraid, You'll be fine. I didn't
have to worry about, you know, anybody asking me where
I was, you know, somebody not wanting to do this.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
I was able to.

Speaker 14 (40:37):
Really explore the you know, the area it was.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
It was amazing.

granddaughter so that she can experience that.

You travel a lot both and beautiful as Yes.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
That's my favorite. Actually was my favorite. Oh, okay, all right,
thank you so much.

Speaker 17 (41:45):
Man.

Speaker 7 (41:46):
I'm about to have my fifth past part and I
don't think I've been on my best vacation yet.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
It's still come and you've been a lot of places.
What's your favorite so far?

Speaker 1 (41:57):
Favorite sound for the two, I'd love all Africa, South Africa,
he said, only South Africa. But that way, if you're listening.

Speaker 7 (42:08):
To Get Up Mornings with Ericant cam On is marvelous. Monday,
November tenth, doctor Kimberlee came sitting in with us.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
Sheryl, ladies, you guys good, We're good. It's been a
great taste so far. Yeah about that.

Speaker 7 (42:25):
What's happening in this last hours? Girl, welcome back, thank you.

Speaker 8 (42:29):
One minute after the hour eleven after of course, Doctor Kimblee.
King is going to do her love talk, and later
this hour we've got trending topics and you'll have a
quick sports minute. But we got great music too, Cam
tell us what we got. Yes, this is going to
be an exciting hour. We got the clock sisters Ada
and Tamala.

Speaker 6 (42:46):
Man.

Speaker 8 (42:46):
But right now here's Cec wineus with Come Jesus, Come.
I can't say that up what's.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
Let's talk about love for God, So love the world.
Love talk, Get up one. He's with Erica Campbell.

Speaker 8 (43:02):
I'm Kim Lee in this morning for my girl Erica,
and I'm here to give you my love talk for
the day. And the title is a little racy, and
I want you guys to follow me, but it's loving
what God wants me to love.

Speaker 5 (43:14):
Now.

Speaker 8 (43:14):
For those that don't know, you might not be aware,
but I've been in love with somebody else for a
long time or something else. I've been in love with
the beauty industry. It's been my first love. I love beauty,
I love fashion, I love the industry.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
I just love it. I absolutely love it.

Speaker 8 (43:28):
And what I realize is that God has me in
a different place right now where I need to be
loving the things He loves. And that doesn't mean I
don't love people and I don't love God and I don't.

Speaker 1 (43:37):
Love being saved. But sometimes you know.

Speaker 8 (43:40):
That first love can kind of take over and you
want to kind of just jump into that space or
that sphere where I'm doing beauty and fashion. But what
I'm realizing now is that the kind of love that
you I'm used to, the kind of love that you
see the kind of love that causes me to create,
the kind of love that allows me to change faces
and recreate life for over thirty years. Now I have

(44:02):
to do a little something a little different now that
I'm more entrenched into the industry and I've seen women
change in different ways. I'm seeing women change from the
inside out. I'm watching women that are insecure, who weren't
once shining now begin to shine and their soul and
in their spirit and not just on their face.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
And so the area that I fell so deeply in
love with, so.

Speaker 8 (44:23):
Madly in love with, with lakeup, I'm realizing that people
are changing from the inside out through a ministry that
God has made me to now fall in love with.
And lately, you know what, with me falling in love
with this thing, falling in love with beauty, with ministry,
falling in love with pastoring. Now I'm noticing that sparkle
that I used to see on people's face and those

(44:45):
applause that I was used to and those lights that
I'm used to going up. I realized that the ministry part,
the moments that ministries, the moments that I am serving
in ministry, are ones that are more substantial, and so
now I'm learning how to fall in love love with
those things that God wants me to fall in love with.
John twenty one and seventeen says, if you love me,

(45:06):
you'll feed my sheep. And that's what I'm learning to do,
you guys, I'm learning to feed God's sheep, and I'm
learning to not miss that mirror being in the public
eye in a whole different kind of way. You see,
loving what God wants me to love isn't always instant,
but sometimes it's a slow falling.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
I'm falling slowly in.

Speaker 17 (45:26):
Love with it.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
I know you like doctor Kemp, but you are faster.
You're a copastor, you're a first lady.

Speaker 8 (45:30):
And I still do love the things of God, but
sometimes I just needed that gentle reminder that it needs
to be my first love.

Speaker 1 (45:38):
It needs to be the.

Speaker 8 (45:39):
Things that God. This is the space where God has
me in it. So the same eyes that I used
to study faces, now God uses me to use those
same eyes to study souls. And now instead of me
looking at someone on the outwork, God is showing me
what's going on inside. And so I'm looking at people
with a different vantage point and I'm loving them in
a different way. I spent really, really an eye opening

(46:02):
moment for me with God.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
So here's the truth.

Speaker 8 (46:05):
God will never ask you to love something that you
won't eventually love back, and so that won't love you back.
And yes, God is loving me for loving what he
loves and I'm doing the things that he wants me
to do. So listen, that's my love talk for the day.
Fall in love with the things that God wants you
to love. Man, God will reroute you sometimes only has

(46:27):
definitely rerouted my heart space.

Speaker 1 (46:30):
And all it does is add to what you're already doing.

Speaker 8 (46:33):
Because when you, you know, do make up for whatever
celebrity or whoever you're working.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
With, it's always ministry for you.

Speaker 8 (46:39):
It always turned into ministry moments, so absolutely, And you know,
my makeup case was my pulpit for so many years
that I never had a yearney or desire to actually
be on a physical pulpit. But now that God has
me there, I'm just transitioning those moments into ministry moments
and complete ministry moments, and I'm falling in love with it.
And I'm just want to courage somebody else that is

(47:01):
running from their calling or been running from what God
wants you to do in ministry and fall in love
with the things He said, if you feed my people,
if you love my people, then I'll love you in return.
So I'm learning that and it's been a process, but
I'm enjoying it.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
I like it. That's the love talk.
