The morning starts with joy and spiritual uplift as Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell delivers an episode full of encouragement, storytelling, and real-life inspiration. Guest co-host Kym Lee opens the show with a Faith Walk reminding listeners that God can “recalculate your route” even after wrong turns, offering grace and redirection when we need it most. The laughter rises quickly as Erica and GRIFF perform a hilarious E&G True Hollywood Bible Story reenacting Satan Tempts Jesus—complete with coaching-church ad-libs, scripture-clap backs, and Griff’s comedic timing that has the whole studio cracking up. Their retelling blends biblical truth with relatable humor, showing listeners how to fight temptation with the Word and a little holy attitude.

The inspiration continues with two standout interviews. First up, gospel songwriter and artist Jules Judah shares the testimony behind his new single Movement, revealing that he wrote it during a season of depression and sang it “until I wasn’t depressed anymore,” encouraging men especially to seek mental health support and trust God through dark moments.

Later, actor Kenric Green joins the show to discuss his role in the new film Sarah’s Oil, telling the real story of Sarah Rector—the 11-year-old Black girl who became America’s youngest female millionaire through faith, perseverance, and a historic oil deal with the Rockefellers.

Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
You're listening to Get Up with Erica Campbell. Faith walk
right now, Amen, Get.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Up Warnings with Erica Campbell.

Speaker 8 (06:09):
I'm Kimberlee King and for Erica today and I want
to just encourage somebody that might be going the wrong
way that the Holy Ghost GPS.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Is recalculating you. Now.

Speaker 8 (06:20):
I know some of you have been in the car
with people. I know my husband is famous for this.
You've been in the car with someone that swear didn't
know what they're going. They said, I know exactly where
I'm going, and then all of a sudden, you hear
that voice that says, recalculate on the GPS. And that
moment will definitely humble you with his humble my husband
many times, because what that's really saying is that you
went the wrong way. However, I still have to get

(06:43):
you there, and I know how to get you there.
And I love that God does it, that the Holy
spirit does that because some of us have made some
wrong terms this year. We've made some detoys in our relationships,
We've done some U turns in our career moves and
it didn't really pan out. We just basically went the
wrong way. Maybe we made an emotional decision out of
frustration instead of doing it in faith. But the good

(07:04):
news is, here's the good news. God never throws away
a route. He just re routes us on that route.
And I love that God does that for us, because
when you belong to Him, even when you make mistakes
and things happen, there's always a miracle that says you
are being rerouted. And I don't know how many people
have ever been in that position where you're like, you
know what, I did make a wrong choice, I did

(07:26):
go the wrong way, I did answer that incorrectly, and
God just simply he just reroutes you. And so for
those of you that are listening this morning, you're in
your cars and you're listening us to us this morning
on get up mornings, I want you to know that
God is recentering your signal. Right now as you speak.
You've been driving through some noise, You've been driving through
some fear. You've been driving through some distractions, some pride even,

(07:48):
and Heaven is trying to tell you that. Guess what,
you don't have to pull over. All you got to
do is just make a U turn and I'm going
to reroute you. Proverbs three reminds us. It says, lean
out into your own understanding in all your ways, acknowledge him.
So when he is telling you to reroute, when he
is telling you to make a U turn, is my
husband listening when he's telling you to make a U turn?

(08:09):
Just make that U turn because I don't want you
to RecA I don't want you to get panicked. Don't
you want you to be dismayed. But I want you
to know that was a tough twister that you are
being recalibrating.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
So it's not failure.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
It's just grace talking, and it's God's way of saying
I still know how to get you there. Just like
the kids say, take me through there, God gonna take
you right on through there and get you where you
need to be. So keep the faith, stay teachable, and
let the Holy Spirit guide you back on course. I'm
doctor Kim Lee King reminding you that grace doesn't cancel

(08:42):
the trip. It just updates all the directions. All right,
Now it's time for our birthday shout out. And if
you are celebrating a birthday today, I need you to
call eight seven seven two four two two four two six.
That's eight seven seven two four two two four to

the devil. Hey Jesus, Hey Satan, you have a good day. Yeah,

I'm not about to jump off this mountain.

Speaker 3 (15:52):
Okay, okay, I don't want to jump, you know.

Speaker 10 (15:56):
Let's go a little higher up. Let me take you
to this higher mountain. Gonna like this when I got
something for you right there, and I look at this
right here, a.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Look at me, Jesus.

Speaker 10 (16:10):
Everything the light touches it is yours.

Speaker 8 (16:15):
Really, you go steal from the future. Move fossa, you
move Fossa. Now the movie hasn't even been made yet, Satan,
all right, none of this is yours.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
My father made all of this. My father made you. Okay, listen,

and only him, trying to serve yourself.

Speaker 3 (16:57):

Speaker 10 (16:58):
I got this through side at three o'clock, I get
this lamb bone stuck in.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
This dude, Jesus, have a good time up here, and
you're in. You're fastest, and all you do Jesus, and
all you do.

Speaker 8 (17:11):
JA, every niche shall bow and every tongue shall confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Judas. I love how I love how Jesus comes back.

Speaker 8 (17:25):
With the word right, little gangster on it too, Like
take that, yeah, Satan, Yeah, it's shopping two as sword.
And you played the voice of the adversary, right, so
we rebuke you and bind.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
You according to his word in the name.

Speaker 11 (17:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Because I'm sitting there going, man, we're just playing.

Speaker 10 (17:47):
Doctor him that she hit me with the whole coaching
morning Listen, I don't come to play with the devil.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Did you get up Good.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Mornings with Erica Campbell?

Speaker 8 (18:04):
I'm doctor Kimblee King and for Erica today and Erica
normally shares her ericasms, So today I'll be sharing my
chem thoughts. And I want you to know that it's
really not a ministry moment, but it kind of is.
I want to honor our forever first Lady Michelle Obama,
who reminded us last night with her new book release
called The Look. She was at a beautiful venue in

(18:25):
DC It's called six and I and watching the DC
discussing her new book, The Look, and she features some
of the voices from her glam squad, Meredith Coop, who.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Has been styling her for years.

Speaker 8 (18:36):
And then my dear friend Carl Ray who does her
makeup and her hairstylist your name, damn two. And I
love that they were teaching those that were listening, how
did you actually develop Your look is based upon how
you feel? Right, And she has been under scrutiny every
since she's been in office about how she looks, how
she presents herself. And now she's talking about not what

(18:57):
you think, not about contour lashes or anything like that.
But she's not talking even talking about the perfect outfit,
but she's talking about how her appearance evolved based upon
her life. And so I love that she has given
those women that were in the audience and all of
those abroad an opportunity to really be able to express
themselves freely with how they feel versus how they look,

(19:20):
because you know, we have all these stigmas attached to
you know, if you look a certain way, you're the
better candidate. If you have a certain look, you know
with your makeup that you're going to definitely get the job.
And she's really encouraged you to show up anyway. And
sometimes the look is polished and it might be put together,
but sometimes the look is tired, but it's determined, is
what she said. And sometimes the look is soft because

(19:41):
you finally learn how to give yourself some grace. And
sometimes the look, she said, it's bold because you finally
remembered who you are. So I want to just encourage
the listeners today that if your look has changed, it
just means If your look has not changed, it means
that maybe you have not changed.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
But I encourage you to act change.

Speaker 8 (20:00):
The way you feel, because it will change your look.
According to Forever First Lady, So we live in a
world that wants women to stay frozen at their best angle.
They want the world they want us to stay frozen
at our smallest size, our youngest era. But evolution is
not a flaw, it's evident. So the evidence is that
you made it through transitions. You made it through losses,

(20:22):
You made it through reinventions, babies, breakups, breakthroughs, and even
those quiet moments where you had to find yourself again.
I love the fact that Michelle Obama stood there last night, radiant, confident, settled,
and she reminded every woman in the room that you
don't need permission to become the newest version of yourself.

(20:43):
And so I thought that was really dope. So, if
you're critiquing yourself in the mirror too hard. I don't
want you to compare yourself like you did ten years ago,
like how you used to look. But I want you
to know that you're still becoming and that your look
right now is the look that God can use.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
So don't be so hard on yourselves.

Speaker 8 (20:58):
That's good that sixteen honey, it's all right.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Yes, dress it up and and show the world.

Speaker 8 (21:04):
You know, I've been doing this really free flowing style
because I'm free flowing.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
I'm not uptight anymore.

Speaker 11 (21:09):
You know.

Speaker 8 (21:09):
I like the oversized past because it's very forgiving, because
I may have a little bit too much to eat
that day.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
You know, I'm cool with that.

Speaker 8 (21:16):
I think that just look is making me feel like
the way I'm dressing now is that I'm confident where
I am being confident. This very thing he started to
work with me, He's going to complete it in it.
I has nothing to do with this makeup, that grift.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
Don't like this botox? I get on my face. Yes,
and you have to evolve.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
Y got it?

Speaker 8 (21:32):
If you do, you because we can see that you're
still in the eighties. We can still see that you
haven't moved from where you are. This works for me,
just what I'm gonna do, right, But life does isn't
like that, It's not, it's not. I think sometimes we
just kind of hide behind those things, you know, we
high behind perfection. So we never want to have any
you know, free flowing moments. We don't want to put
on the cheeta print. We don't want to put on
and you know, some of the things that kind of

(21:52):
make you say, you know what, I'm cool and I'm free,
you know. So I'm going to encourage the women today
that are listening just you you you free now, yeah,
to look like it.

Speaker 16 (22:00):
Good stuff them thoughts. All right, Joys and Concerns is
coming up next, griff. I can't wait to hear what
you gotta talk about today. All right, let me just
tell you I lit up the sky. That's all I'm
gonna say. Oh, okay, we'll see what that's about.

Speaker 8 (22:15):
Stick around, I'll get the Bardies and Rika Campbell.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
If you're listening to get Up Eric Campbell the church

Yeah, it was therapy, but you know, the best therapist
in the world is Jesus Christ. You know, I did
go to therapy, and that's when these words were given
to me. Driving from church, just realizing, you know that
it's my choice to see the glass half empty or

(29:25):
half full, and I chose to see the glass half full.
I may have regrets, but He's not finished yet, and
I'm grateful. I'm grateful I'm not in the place that
I was. It was worse, it has been worse, you know,
and sometimes you have to look at your accomplishments, celebrate yourself,

(29:46):
you know, sometimes you have to look at the things
that God did do for you. You have, Yeah, progress, Yeah,
you're somewhere. You somewhere and you're traveling. You're moving, so
you can't you may got to go to the bathroom,
but you on your way to win. Just keep driving,

Speaker 11 (30:18):
The first one that I've that I My first song
with Bishom Hezeky Walker was a song called on Time
or the Toronto Record. But the first big hit that
we've done was Calling My Name featuring Tommy Figure. Oh.
That was the first. And I wrote that when I
was sixteen years old.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Geez yeah.

Speaker 11 (30:39):
And you know I've also think God favored me and faithful.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
As our God.

Speaker 11 (30:43):
You know these songs and shout out to Bishop Henzki Walker.

Speaker 4 (30:48):

this very day, you know what I mean. And I
appreciate him so much in my life. You know, those
those doors have opened it and they've been open for
the past thirty years.

Speaker 8 (31:06):
Man.

Speaker 10 (31:06):
You did your fiftieth birthday bigger than anybody fifty at
a black tie gala in Times Square.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Honey. How huge was that?

Speaker 11 (31:16):
It was so crazy? I want to I want to
do it again. But I'm gonna be right. I want
to do I want to do it. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:26):

Speaker 17 (32:46):
This says doctor Willy Jolly in today's message is taking
from my book, A set back is a set up
for a comeback.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Look think about it all.

Speaker 17 (32:54):
The harder it hits the ground, the higher it bounces back,
and the same is true for you. The greater the setback,
the greater the opportunity for comeback. Don't curse the ground
you hit, use it to bounce higher. Adversity can become
your advantage.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
If you refuse to quit.

Speaker 17 (33:14):
Life may push you down, but you can use the
pressure to launch yourself into a higher level of living. Remember,
resilience is not about avoiding falls, but about bouncing back
each and every time you can. If you think you can,
you can. If you think you can and act on it.

(33:39):
This is doctor Willie Jolly. Look go to win with
Willi dot com. Win with Willi dot com for resources
to help you win more and make the most of
each and every minute.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
Because your best you still yet to come. Have a
great day.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Rich is good, Wealthy isbetter dot com.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
You've heard from us because I got through and.

Speaker 8 (34:27):
I can get a gool is all right, Griff, you've
been talking about it. Christmas is already at the Griffin's
house right It's in the airs. Stores can't wait either,
because right after Halloween you start seeing Christmas decorations.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
You said, at home is full of them right now
the whole problem with the store. Call at home is
a problem.

Speaker 8 (34:51):
Right And I've already started seeing people put up Christmas tree.
Pastor JJ Harrison says that Lady Trina Harriston pastor Trina loves, love,
love christ Smith's and they got multiple Christmas trees, I
mean seven eight feet tall, twelve in their home.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Here we do. We have four.

Speaker 10 (35:07):
See we got we got the new big twelve foot
one that I'm putting up when I get back from Charlotte.
But then Lenika got these little three four foot ones
that she put in all the rooms like so that
light up.

Speaker 8 (35:21):
I got like a whole Christmas tree. I have a
lot of them. I mean I have two that I
put out on my front. But we do one massive
tree in the family room. And and then I decorate
the four year really good so when people come in
the house they'll feel that Christmas thing. And of course
Griff left at my formal dining room because it's blocked off, right,
he was like, nobody going there.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
She's so beautiful, she does off the plates.

Speaker 8 (35:49):
It's like, is very very pristine. We have a dog,
so we don't let the dog go and let people
in there.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
The goals on the house, we have events. We opened
up that room, yeah, that day, but it's still can.

Speaker 8 (36:06):
We kept from we pulled this plastic off? Can we
sit in these chairs? Can we enjoy our meal on
this on these Griff, she has plastical still had runners
on her car.

Speaker 11 (36:20):
I do not.

Speaker 8 (36:23):
So anyway, the Ghettapo, because you know, like I said,
they skipped Thanksgiving, and I heard what you said, Griff
in the last hour.

Speaker 3 (36:29):
I never thought of it like that, but it is truth.

Speaker 10 (36:33):
In my and my family, probably fifteen years ago we
stopped celebrating Thanksgiving the traditional American way because it's really
recognizing the slaughter of Native Americans.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
From between eighteen hundred and nineteen hundred, the sellers here
in America did awful, horrendous things to the Native Americans
that they still haven't told us.

Speaker 10 (36:57):
And here we are the heavy things given in with
pilgrooms and all, you know. But if really we celebrated
as a time and love, I think it's the prequel
for Christmas, you know, And that's kind of how I've
been celebrating in the last fifteen years. But it brings
me no joy to know that people were hurt because
of this holiday.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
It's another way to think of it.

Speaker 8 (37:19):
But I love it because we bring family together, right,
and we and my grandmother traditionally would have us praying
like before for breakfast. Right before we would have breakfast,
we would pray, and then it would always be like
extended family. We would always pray again when it comes
before dinner. So it was always like a sacred time,
if you will. But it's not really and not celebrating

(37:39):
the Pilgrims, but using it as a day of thanks intentionally.
Griffin Pastor have the same mindset, so him and Pastor
King would get along perfect.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
I'm sure you cannot.

Speaker 8 (37:50):
He's already taking our Listen, you want to take our
Christmas treet say it's a pagan right, Listen. Pastor is
not playing those games Griff when y'all comeing to town.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
You ain't you?

Speaker 8 (37:59):
Only Nita coming to the King's house because I feel
like we're gonna have us a good time. Soestion today, y'all,
is is it too early to put up your Christmas decoration?
Give us a call? Eight seven seven two four two
two four two six. Are you with Griff? You put
it up already or you're putting it up now? Let's
talk about it. Eight seven seven two four two two
four two six?

Speaker 3 (38:18):
Is it too early?

Speaker 8 (38:19):
You want to hear from you? I get up morning
to Dereka Cambell. If you're listening to get Up Erica,
I've heard from us.

Speaker 7 (38:33):
I'm excited, really because I got.

Speaker 10 (38:35):
Through if eight seven seven two four two two four
two six, it's time for the get up pole. Let's
go to Charlotte and talk to Dell. Hey deal, I'm
gonna be in Charlotte this weekend. We gotta have lunch
on me.

Speaker 3 (38:49):
Bruh, all at your boy.

Speaker 11 (38:50):
Let's make it happen. Absolutely so we're gonna make that happen.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
So is it too early? Is it too early to
put up lights on me?

Speaker 11 (38:57):
Here? You know, if it brings you joy, if it
brings you joy. Go ahead, do it. There is never
a reason, especially when we know that we need to
put Jesus in the middle of it. Go ahead and
do it now. For me, it's too early because I
got it December birthday. So I'm feeling a certain way
about that. I get it.

Speaker 7 (39:17):
It's help want to put it up.

Speaker 11 (39:18):
I know folks that have this.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
Stuff up November fifth and said, I go ahead, put
it up now, but really, really just early, just go
skip over, and.

Speaker 7 (39:26):
I feel you about you know, Thanksgiving should be about
grace and the love of God because yeah, no, being
a third day.

Speaker 11 (39:32):
Of American myself, nah, not bring.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
Exactly.

Speaker 11 (39:39):
So let's enlighten, let's bring it up, and let's be
about the love. If you need to put your lights
up and feel your.

Speaker 7 (39:45):
Joy early, feel your joy early.

Speaker 11 (39:47):
There's so many things about feel your joy as often
and as long as you constant.

Speaker 3 (39:54):
But you and your house is after birthday, after birthday,
after the birthday.

Speaker 11 (39:59):

New Orleans is on the line. Linda, you got your
decoration up yet?

Speaker 3 (40:10):

Speaker 11 (40:12):
My daughter took the tree tree up since the second
week in October.

Speaker 3 (40:20):
Yes, yeah, she believes.

Speaker 4 (40:23):
They're putting her tree up early. So it's been up
since early October.

Speaker 8 (40:28):
All right, I'm not bad. I like what Dale said.
You know, he said, if it's your joy, put it up.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
All right? Thank you?

Speaker 14 (40:33):
Right, thank you?

Speaker 3 (40:35):

Oh thank you man, thank you. It was I mean,
there were several things that drew me to this movie.
First off, I hadn't heard anything about somebody there a Rector.
To me, I wouldn't have known. And so once I
read the script, I was like, wait a minute, this
is based on a true story. So then I had
to dive deeper and just find out like all right, well,
you know, like any script, right, it can't cover everything.

(45:29):
So I'm like, all right, what are the missing pieces?
How did this happen?

Speaker 11 (45:33):
You know?

Speaker 7 (45:33):
And that once I got the kind of bigger picture,
I was like, oh, man, I would give anything to
be a part of the story like these are you know,
it's faith based, it's it's real American history. And there
was an opportunity to work with my wife as we
you know, we get to play Sarah's mom and dad
and so those three things. I was like, oh, this

(45:55):
is I don't know if it gets better than this,
to find out there's more to the story than what
we're typically told about black people in America, especially at
those times.

Speaker 10 (46:04):
Well, speaking of your wife and I bras say her
name right, you and Snigua, Martin Green, you guys collaborated
on several projects, but right now you're building something new
together with Rock Fire Productions, and talk about that and
working with your wife dog because that could go one
or two ways.

Speaker 7 (46:24):
I know a lot of people say that, they're like, man,
I could be working with your wife.

Speaker 11 (46:27):
You guys could do that together and.

Speaker 7 (46:29):
It's like, man, this is this is this is always
what we've wanted to do, you know, and so this
has been even though we've collaborated on a number of projects,
this project, Sarah's Oil really gave us that opportunity to
kind of work deeper together. The Rock and Fire Productions
is that's something that we are. We're in the process
that we blaunched, we're getting off the ground, and our

(46:51):
mission with our production company is to you know, champion
champion safe but in real life action similar to Sarah's Oil.
Although you know, Rock and Fire was not a producer
on this project, but it very much aligns with what
our mission is, which is showing what faith looks like
in real life. You know, it's got a lot more

(47:12):
layers to it, and God can be involved in them all.
But so we want to champion projects. We want to
help bring stories to life that that really show the
nuances of that and what that looks like from person
to person.

Speaker 10 (47:24):
Of course, of course that's my guy, kim Ric Green,
one of the stars of the movie Sarah's Oil.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
The Sarah Rector Story. It's in theaters right now.

Speaker 10 (47:34):
Make sure you guys check that out, Like for reals, like,
take your family go see this movie. Is a is
a big big deal, ken Rick, thank you for stopping by. Man,
it's our pleasure.

Speaker 7 (47:44):
Oh Man, thank you for having me. It's my pleasure too.

Speaker 10 (47:47):
All good, Hey, you guys, stick around to get up
pos coming up in just a few moments on Get
Up Mornings with Eric and Campbell.

Speaker 2 (48:02):
If you're listening to Get Up with Erica camp Get
Up Mornings Erica.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
Find out what everybody's talking about right now? Take it
over the web. What is it?

Speaker 1 (48:13):
It's trending topics up to the minute.

Speaker 3 (48:15):
All right, y'all, is time for trending topics, Sueryl. What's trended?

Speaker 11 (48:19):
All right?

Speaker 8 (48:19):
The government shutdown is over, but hundreds of thousands of
federal workers are coming back after forty three days.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
To anything but normalcy.

Speaker 8 (48:27):
Employees from across the country told our news sources that,
you know, flight delays, cancelations, they'll linger as air traffic
controllers staffed back up right. Workers who haven't received a
paycheck in weeks will still have to wait for pay
for back pay, and research grants will be delayed.

Speaker 3 (48:43):
Economic reports are likely to be scrapped.

Speaker 8 (48:45):
Six weeks of email and voicemail would have to be
wadded through and in three months they may have to
contend with turbulence over and over again. Because this this
is just temporary. Because January thirty, if they got to
do this all over again, So happen if you weren't
in town? Yeah, they got to go back to where
I go back to work and you stopped. Yeah, because

(49:05):
the air traffic, so.

Speaker 10 (49:06):
Does everything start? So was traffic crazy in DC? I
know you're in d c ryl. What could you tell
something happened by just driving to work before you even.

Speaker 4 (49:15):
Heard the news.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
No, traffic is lighter. It's definitely is lighter.

Speaker 8 (49:19):
And then because they're back at work and they're requiring
them to be back in the office starting Monday, you're
gonna start seeing the influence was starting Monday.

Speaker 10 (49:25):
Okay, Yeah, because that that answers that question, Kim, the
people going and you know when he was coming back,
and then I guess the delay is back pay and
other stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (49:36):
I'm just happy I.

Speaker 10 (49:37):
Got a really cool message for my god James Massy,
who's just been holding on to Jesus this whole time.

Speaker 3 (49:42):
And I love how he walked through that faithfully.

Speaker 8 (49:45):
Right and you know, Democrats was holding out because they
wanted to make sure they kept the Obamacare subsidies, right,
that will keep health care affordable. So let's hope, yeah,
because of the you know, because of them signing this,
that the healthcare race won't go away. I'm interested in
see and what that outcome will be because it's gonna
be very important. Yeah, very important for so many people
in our country. So it's still a lot to fight for.

(50:06):
But I'm glad that folk are going back to work.
So let's hope they in agreement.

Speaker 3 (50:10):
All right. I love this.

Speaker 8 (50:12):
So Spike Lee is debuting something new. A few months ago,
the Jordan brand revealed that they were working on a
new collaborative collection with Denham and the Levi Jeans Company,
and Spike Lee is a part of it.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
You know, he is a Jordan's head, like.

Speaker 10 (50:28):
Yeah, I mean go way back to like eight commercials.

Speaker 3 (50:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (50:33):
And while the initial air Jordan for collection in twenty
eighteen didn't exactly live up to the hype that Spike
Lee wanted it to, they believe that this one will
because again we know that he is the Spike Lee guy.
And I don't know though, because I don't like any
of Spike's current fashions.

Speaker 3 (50:48):
Have you seen him?

Speaker 8 (50:49):
Course, I like it is out of control, Like I'm
hoping this.

Speaker 18 (50:54):
A mascot of itself, right gives yeah, very mass But.

Speaker 8 (51:02):
You know what, that's what happens when you got like
a fashion trend in the house, right, like you got
a fashion expert.

Speaker 3 (51:10):
Thank you for the Thank you for that, Spike. But
we don't like you. We don't like what you wear.

Speaker 8 (51:16):
But I like the collaborative efforts, right, so pulling on celebrities,
especially people of color. So thank you Nike, thank you Levi,
because we're wearing it all right, all right? And finally,
this is another story everybody's been talking about Wendy Williams.
You can't you can't reverse Alzheimer's, you can't reverse dementia.

Speaker 3 (51:35):
But they said they misdiagnosed her.

Speaker 8 (51:37):
Because remember they said she had a frontal lobe dementia,
and so now they're saying she doesn't and that it
was So is.

Speaker 3 (51:43):
That Alzheimer's or is it dementia? Well, dementia is Alzheimer's.

Speaker 8 (51:48):
Is a form of must says, yeah, no, there there
is a form of this. So you have a lot
of My mother had vascular dementia, and so that's Alzheimer's
is a form of dementia. So you have all these
different things that.

Speaker 10 (52:01):
A hundred different kinds, but the ones we know the
most are like three or four the vascular and.

Speaker 8 (52:09):
You're having this memory loss and you're having your body
is actually reverting, and so that I think that ultimately
that's really and it's a race with your mind, your brain.
It's just a race to try to keep you healthy.
And it's just different ways that it happens, which is
why you have the different types of dementias. But they
just they're saying they misdiagnosed her because you can't say
she's cured of it because you're not, Like you can't

(52:31):
if something happens to your brain, like my mom had
vascular so if blood is on your brain, it calcifies
and that memory's gone forever, right, And so she had
frontal lobes, so something was happening where it was affecting
the frontal lobe, is what they were saying. But now
they're saying it was misdiagnosed, that she doesn't have dementia,
that's all fortunate.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
Yeah, So I don't know what's going on with her.

Speaker 8 (52:52):
Top neurologist says that she doesn't have it, so that's
a blessing and on her.

Speaker 3 (52:58):
So let's pray that she's doing well. All right, that's
what's trending. Griff.

Speaker 8 (53:01):

Scoball from the Detroit Tigers and Paul Schemes from the
Pittsburgh Pirates both won the Cy Young Award for.

Speaker 3 (53:49):
The American League and the National League.

Speaker 10 (53:52):
Notre Dame junior guard Hannah Hidalgo had a record sixteen
steals in the school record forty four putting number eighteen.
