praise you for another day. This is the day the
Lord has made. Will rejoice and we will be glad
in it. Father, This day will not be easy for me,
but you got everything in control. I thank you, Lord
(01:01):
God for breath in my body. I thank you Lord
for the beautiful people that have loved and covered.
Speaker 6 (01:05):
And prayed for me.
Speaker 7 (01:06):
And so today Lord Jesus, I lay to rest a
beautiful woman that I love with all of my heart.
And I'm continuing to trust you Lord with how my
heart feels. But despite how my heart feels, you cover us,
You keep us. You love us, Lord, you feel us,
and you fuel us. You guide us every step of
the way. Your word says you'll never leave us nor
forsake us, and I believe that to be true, despite
(01:28):
how I feel, despite what's going on, So I put
my life in your hands, my heart in your hands,
my mind in your hands. Lord, along with everybody under
the sound of my voice. Lord covers with your blood today.
Keep us safe from my heart, harm and danger. Keep
your loving arms wrapped around us. Lord, help us to
keep our mind and our eyes stayed on you. We
know you'll keep us in perfect peace. I thank you
Lord that will operate in faith today, not in fear,

Speaker 10 (02:23):
Democrats scored major victories across the country in the twenty
twenty five off year elections this week, from high profile
governors races in Virginia and New Jersey to keep down
ballot contest in Pennsylvania and Georgia, Democrats outperformed expectations. The
results could shape upcoming battles over the government shutdown, the
twenty twenty six midterms, and even the twenty twenty eight

presidential race. Americans are growing more frustrated with the ongoing
government shutdown, now in a record season, fearing its impact
on the economy and their own finances. Lower income households
are feeling distrained the most as concern spreads about the
shutdowns ripple effects nationwide. Politically, blame is being shared across

Speaker 2 (05:52):
If you're listening to Get Up Erma Walking.
Speaker 7 (05:58):
Right now, Hey, yes, it is time for the faith
Walk of the day. And y'all, I'm still obsessed with
this book, The Power of a Prophetic Mindset by Apostle
Cynthia Thompson, still blessing my life. I have gone back
over chapters and read them over and over again and
highlighted everything in the whole book. But I think it's
really important for us to realize that how we think
(06:20):
about our faith is how we live out our faith.
Speaker 6 (06:23):
I know I talk about that a lot, but it
is so telling.
Speaker 7 (06:26):
The certain questions you ask will let you know whether
you believe and trust God or not. Right the questions
that you ask will let you know how you feel
about what you're going through. But when you become so
determined to speak the language of Heaven and not Hell,
you will change what you say. But that requires putting
on a prophetic mindset. Prophetic is not hooky, spooky, It's
not telling me how much change is in my pocket.
(06:47):
It is singing what Heaven has already said to us
for us about us. It is understanding our authority in Christ.
It is operating in a different realm. In order to
do that, you got to really be saved for real.
You can't be walking in foolishness and faith. You can't
be living halfway. And you know what I mean. By
living halfway, I'm kind of saved, kind of. Note I
say things like I'm saying, but I mean not like that.
(07:10):
You know what I mean. You're not gonna put on
a prophetic mindset because you're not walking in your full
divine authority, because you've made being holy and unacceptable and
living right this weird thing that seems unaccessible that's outside
of you. But when you really understand who you are
and who you are, you want to think like Christ.
And that is possible. The Bible tells us to put
(07:31):
on the mind of Christ. What does that mean?
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Right?
Speaker 7 (07:33):
Let me think the way God thinks. That takes time,
That takes a Bible study, It takes being renewed by
your mind. It takes learning how to recognize the voice
of God versus the voice of the enemy, but it
is possible.
Speaker 6 (07:46):
My prayers that we all grow in faith.
Speaker 7 (07:48):
Even as you listen to gospel music and listen to
us early in the morning, I pray that you are
encouraged to grow in faith and grow in grace. As
we say in Cali worship, there are endless possibilities with
trust in God and loving God. But you've got to believe.
All things are possible to them that believe. And what
do you believe? Is my question that I ask y'all frequently,
And so I believe that I can grow in faith.
(08:10):
I believe that I can know and understand scripture. I
believe that God can use me for his glory. I
believe that God is in control and that he's sovereign.
But he has also given me dominion to say what
God has said about me. And so that is my
faith walk for the day. Get this book if you can.
You can order it on Amazon, The Power of a
Prophetic Mindset, because I want us to all grow in
(08:31):
faith and grow in grace.
Speaker 6 (08:33):

All they do is listen. They be on their headphones
now with a nice iPad. Now I ain't looked up once.
I hate it all right, guys, getting the word of
God and let it bless your life. Is Get up morning.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
If you're listening to Get Up Camp Real of the
Day or Get Up Mornings with Eric.
Speaker 7 (16:47):
Okay, yes it is time for the Erica of the Dangernay.
I just want to share lessons from my aunt Teresa.
My aunt Teresa was this beautiful woman who was fabulous
but did not play no games with the enemy. She
was fabulous, but she did not wear earrings or makeup.
She was fabulous because she was confident in who she was,
in being loved by her husband, and knowing how to
(17:10):
walk in a room and just be a light.
Speaker 6 (17:12):
She was fun and funny, not in a joking kind
of way.
Speaker 7 (17:16):
It was like more like a like a dry sarcastic humor,
which was great for me or bad, I'm not sure,
but I learned so much from her. I watched her
as the first lady endure some difficult things, losing our
church building, and you know, accusations against the church of
what we did and do not do.
Speaker 6 (17:35):
She was never frazzled, and I always thought that was beautiful.
Speaker 7 (17:38):
She never I never saw Aunt Theresa lose her control
like ever, not even at home. She was calm and
even when she had to correct somebody or fix somebody,
there was this drunk. She was a contralto, so she
had a heavy voice, kind of like me, and she
would always lead us to God. She would allow the
young people to be young people. We could come to
(17:58):
her house, we could eat, and we could watch movies.
But she wasn't playing about young people fooling around. But
she didn't want anybody messing with nobody, and she was
very clear on that. But she was very honest about
the facts that boys like girls and girls like boys.
So she didn't demonize us for liking one another. She
just set boundaries, healthy boundaries that allowed us to explore relationships,
(18:22):
which I thought was so wonderful. And so I remember
when Warren first said he wanted to start a church,
or God told him to start a church. He didn't
want to the Lord told him to the first thing
I said, is I can't be on Teresa. So of
course I went to her and she just shared so
much wisdom and knowledge, and she said, you prepared for this, baby,
you got this. She had been prepping me the whole time,
(18:44):
and I didn't realize it. She had been teaching me
the whole time, how to be fair with people, how
to be honest with people. She was teaching me the
whole time. I'm going to miss that woman tremendously, but
I have every lesson. I have laughter, I have relationship.
Speaker 6 (19:02):
I know she loved me.
Speaker 7 (19:03):
She knew that I loved her. I was her favorite.
Nobody can tell me different. Of course, all my sisters
and everybody, all the nieces and nephews, I think they
were a favorite, because that's just how she loved people.
But I will hold that in my heart. Today is
actually the day that will have her service. So y'all
pray for my heart today. Can follow me on social media.
Just send me some prayers and some love. I need
(19:24):
all of it today. It will not be easy, but
I'm going in the.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
Strength of God. He will give me the strength.
Speaker 7 (19:30):
I'm not gonna pretend to be stronger than I am,
so I allow myself to feel all the feelings that
I will feel today. Y'all pray for your girl. Okay,
I love you and I mean it. That is the
ria ism of the day. I love you on Teresa.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
If you're listening to get up the church, say amen,
good time for joys and concerns.
Speaker 6 (20:03):
Where say to the Most High God, we are coming

Speaker 15 (20:43):
The Lord one more time, elder girl, because He brought
me from a mighty, mighty long way, Susantanya Ward, I
could have been dead, sleeping in the grave.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
But God is.
Speaker 6 (20:57):
Good all the time, all the time. God is good. Yes, yes,
let me. Let me just tell you about me, y'all.
And I probably did this backwards, y'all know. I just
bought a house, and I did all the outside things first,
like I bought security, and we got five cameras, and
so I see my whole neighborhood all the time, right,
And I got signs to say no so listening.
Speaker 15 (21:18):
Woo woo.
Speaker 6 (21:19):
So some Jehovah witness people came up to the house,
but on all my cameras, I can talk on them, right.
So I'm catching them on the driveway. Hello, Hello, how
can I help you? Hello? And they just walking up
the sidewalk. So then I said, excuse me, how can
I help you? They said, Hi, we want to talk
to you. I said, talk to me about the what
(21:41):
the watch tower? The what the watchtower? The what?
Speaker 8 (21:45):
The rude?
Speaker 6 (21:47):
I said, Oh, we're good. We believe in Jesus Christ
in this house. She said, oh we do too. I said, yeah,
but we believe in Jesus with a bigger heaven than
one hundred and forty four thousand. So thank you so much.
And they just stood there and then I said again,
thank you. They were just standing there and I said,
(22:08):
I love you so much.
Speaker 11 (22:09):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (22:10):
I got my whole area. Now here's what's fun. So
one time I tried. I was sick of walking past
this Kingdom Hall over by Welcome Hall Park in Atlanta,
and on Wednesdays, I don't it's really off day. It's
not Sunday every Sniday. It's just a I got Tuesday
or Thursday to be all cars. And so one day
I go to go in, you know, just I'm dressed.
(22:33):
IM go to go in. The dudes come outside. He
stopped me at the door and he was like, hello,
how can I have you I said, yeah, I'm just
coming in the service. He's like, and you are with
I said, I am outsideer wanting to come inside to
get some service. He was not budget that man did
(22:56):
not let me in that door. And I was like, oh,
I promise you we didn't. But I tell you this,
Jehovah witnesses that be on the low sneak and listening
to get up mornings. Come on. I'm the only dude
that talked to the Jehovah witness people at the airport.
They know me. We don't talk about nothing. I say, hey, ladies,
how y'all doing.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Hey, griff on some.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
Day, listen, but don't just don't come to my house now.
People say, griff you kept asking to be with the
what the watch tower? The watch the watch tower? You
get to say, all right, somebody else saying, yeah, I
don't talk to them people, dear, But I know I
talked to him aout high. It is nice and that
is of the Lord. You just say, ain't y' all right?
(23:38):
But if you like me and you know, don't be
telling me your comic book at my house. Man gone
had the water, the watch, the watch out the watch

Speaker 6 (24:03):
You can't go with you down? Jehovah, listen, I don't.
And then he was saying, I don't know, and I
mean literally, I'm by myself. I'm just you know, I
literally wanted to be nosy one day and they knew it,
and that's why they didn't let you tell in. All right, guys,

I wasn't. I wasn't aggressive.

Speaker 6 (25:30):
Hello.
Speaker 7 (25:33):
Joining us today is multi award winning artist, pastor, author,
entrepreneur and friend of the show is Marvin Sap.
Speaker 6 (25:40):
Hello, welcome back, sir, good morning, Good morning, how you
guys doing good good?
Speaker 7 (25:46):
I'm excited about this new song and excited to talk
about it. So why don't you introduce Created and then
we'll come back and talk more about it.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Oh man, it's just a simple song, and it's some
kind of created because teaching every one of us who
used to recognize but know that's the only reason why
we here. It's the worship, magnify and to live with
data by Salvation.
Speaker 7 (26:03):
Ay man, he is created by Marvin sapp On get
up on it. That was Marvin sapp What created his
latest single?
Speaker 6 (26:17):
All right?
Speaker 7 (26:17):
Tell us what inspired this new single in this message
of hope for the listeners today?
Speaker 4 (26:22):
Well, I mean what inspired the song is just simply,
you know, trying to get people to be focused. You know,
we we think that we're here for a multiplicity of reasons,
and the truth of the matter is that our real
purpose and function it's supposed to be to really just
to honor, to extol and to speak well of the
dollar by Salvation.
Speaker 7 (26:40):
So everything else that comes along with it is antilarry
one thousand percent. Well, listen, recently you returned to Grand
Rapids for an incredible special occasion. It was a street
naming in honor of your late wife, doctor Melinda Sapp.
How does that feel to see her legacy be so
honored in such a lasting way.
Speaker 4 (26:57):
It was amazing, And I think the reason it's so
amazing to me is because of simple fact that you know,
our city, you know, very much, still recognizes the impact
that my late wife, documentnd sat hand in the community
of Grandpa's Michigan. You know, I get celebrated everywhere, you know,
and I appreciate the fact that, you know, we get
the opportunity to be celebrated with awards and as far
(27:20):
as one walk to fans all that kind of stuff.
But the fact of the matter is that, you know,
I didn't do things by myself. You know, I had
a great partner. And what made it even more special
is the fact that you know, my children were there.
They got the opportunity to see it. And not only that,
but my grandchildren. You know, I got two grand days
twelve day and one is actually named after my late wives.
(27:45):
Well actually both of them are. Melinda Janney is named
after my late wife, and then Madick Prince. He took
my wife's maiden name and made it my grandmother's name.
So I mean, like it was really great to have
them to see that.
Speaker 6 (27:59):
So Bishop, you're on a Detroit Legends tour right now, man,
And how cool is that to be back at the
crib with all your fellows. We started right here. People.
Speaker 9 (28:13):
We let me say this.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
I appreciate the fact they've allowed me to be grafted
into the Detroit The reality is is Grand Rappids is
like three hours from Detroit, so you know, just to
be able to be on the stage with the individual,
the architect that that literally brought me to the game.
A lot of people you know, don't know. You know,
I'm especially out of college, and you know, I came
to Detroit, Michigan and became a member of the group
(28:38):
that a whole lot of people may not remember called Commissioned.
And the reason why I was remember of that group.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
Legends. You hear me, Legend brought me.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
It brought me into the fold. And we do like
a commission Winings mashup because Carl and my self, friend
Keith Stainton, my goodness teaching hat and oh my god,
Cargo Winings and a few others. So it's really cool.
So I've been loving it and then also giving the
(29:11):
opportunity to listen to everybody else who's been on it,
from the Cark Sisters to Vicki Winings to Vanessa bill Arnstrong.
Speaker 6 (29:19):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
So if they don't have tickets, they need to get
their tickets because it's crazy.

new song. You know you always have a room here
whenever you want to come and share. And you know,

To the importance of fortitude.
Speaker 14 (31:11):
Fortitude is defined as emotional strength or power in the
face of adversity and difficulty. Sir Francis Bacon said, while
prosperity best discovers vice, adversity best discovers virtue, and the
virtue that comes from adversity is fortitude. The good things
that come from prosperity are to be wished for, but
(31:32):
the good things.
Speaker 6 (31:32):
That come from adversity are to be admired.
Speaker 14 (31:35):
Therefore, a person does not know of their own strength
who has not met any adversity. I encourage you to
have faith and fortitude and keep fighting for your dreams.
