Speaker 1 (00:01):
Medicine.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
You guys are in as rare territory as you were
with the with the first time.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Shout out just what was Sewn's message at halftime and
how did you guys as a unit as not collect yourself.
So yeah, I mean we had three plays in the
first quarter, you know, so that's obviously, uh, you know,
tough to catch a rhythm there, and then I think
the second drive was really nice. Obviously went forward and
fourth down, didn't get it, didn't come away with points,
which was tough, but really moved the ball well there.
So there were some positive things to do to look at,

(00:27):
you know, coming in at halftime knowing that we were
gonna need to play well in the second half, obviously
by you know, not pulling a not getting any points
there in the first. But I thought our guys up
front played really good in the run game all day,
you know, even coming back in, you know at halftime,
I think we had you know, twelve carries for almost
eighty yards whatever it was. I mean, they're they're handling
their business up front, so it was it was great

(00:48):
to see. So I just had to make a couple
of plays in the past game which we were able to
do in the second half, runs like he.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Does, the fullness of his personality as a runner in
the MM after over those types of things, was it
for the group as a whole, particularly and kind of start?

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Yeah, I mean I think anytime, you know, the guys
up front are moving him and he's making great reads
and great you know moves on the second level. I mean,
that's that's a fun feeling as an offense when you
h you can hand the ball off and get you know,
big creases, convert when we needed to and in short
yardage stuff. You know, I thought, Uh, I thought our
guys did a really good job up front. Then Kiren
ran a great and every time, you know, positive things

(01:26):
happened for him. Man, Uh, you know, he's a he's
a starter for us. He's got great energy, great play energy,
competes you know, both in the run game in the
past game. So it was awesome for him to have
a great day. And you know, I thought Blake ranted
great too. So it was everybody we handed the ball
to today did a nice job. Are you looking at

(01:47):
what you're gonna do? It? Like? That was great? You know,
we have you know, make up snap it one more time.
On defense. I say it all the time, you know,
and they did, and uh, you know, Verse obviously made
the great play on fourth down there. You know, we
did a nice job on third down two getting it there.
So some really really stout plays by our defense in

(02:08):
that game, which was awesome, you know, holding them the
field goals early in the first half and all that
kind of stuff. So but yeah, I mean, we're going
over what we're gonna have to do in two minute.
You know, we're gonna have a time out maybe two
you know, we burned the one right before fourth down,
I believe, so we're gonna have one time out whatever
the time was gonna be after that. But just trying
to talk to the guys on on what you know,
I had seen on tape, what we were looking for,

(02:30):
and what we might have to go do at that point.
You know, hopefully just go down and kick a field
goal to win it, but those guys on defense might
to play. I think he's meant, uh, you know, I'll
talk about our organization really, you know, I mean, he's
he's meant such a He's been such a big part
of this organization since I got here, and I know

(02:51):
even before I did you know, just the way he
goes about his business, the kind of teammate that he is,
the kind of football player, is the person that he is,
So you know, doesn't surprise me, you know, with the
effort and the attention to detail that he has, and
then obviously his ability as well. But proud of him,
happy for him. Those things are they're hard to come by.
You know, we'll we'll talk about it right now and

(03:11):
and then you forget about it for the rest of
the season. But he'll always have that, and that's a
that's a special thing, uh, you know, a place in
history and a sport that is an amazing sport to
be a part of. So I'm happy for him.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Two questions early in the second.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Quarter, Uh, you got up and were kind Yeah, I
just got rolled up a little bit. I need to
be faster to get away from those guys.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
And then what's it like, you know for you obvious
high in the first quarter when your way you guys,
you don't get another opportunity, So what's kind of going
through your mind?

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah, obviously, you know, it wasn't even the three plays,
just the way the game kind of started, the way
we were playing in the first half definitely frustrating. You know,
you're sitting there going, man, you know there's there's plays
out there. We got to go get them and make
them happen, just kind of and knowing at the same time, Man,
every time I'm handed it off, I feel like we're
getting good yards. So it's like, you know, we gotta
find a way to get some points for these drives.
These guys up front are playing well enough to get

(04:08):
these points done, and we're able to do that in
the second half. I think I've been a part of
all kinds of games, right return the opening kickoff for
a touchdown, seven nothing, it's fourteen nothing, twenty or nothing
before you blink, and then you know at the end
of the game you're in a nail bider. So you
gotta keep playing. You gotta keep playing football. This is
a you know, it's a game of ebbs and flows.
Very rarely do you, you know, go down, score fourteen
points and just run away with the football game, you know,

(04:30):
So your time's gonna come. You gotta find those opportunities
and when they come, you gotta capitalize on them. Were
able to do that in the red zone today, which
was which was big. Oh man, I hope I get it.
You know, that's usually it. Yeah, they work today, We'll
take it. I think I finished for the first time

(04:50):
this season in positive yards. I was trying to go
the whole season without that, but it was maybe it
was the second time, but it was. Uh, it was good.
We needed them, you know, however, we can get a
first down. I'll take it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
A couple of guys last week they.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Are you aware that they're also tracking stats? Oh yeah,
I mean we got numbers for everything in this world now,
so uh, I'm sure they uh they've got my top
speed and all that kind of stuff. That's nothing to
write home about. But yeah, today I got the first
sneak and Will Harris their safety, as an old teammate
of mine, was like, you're still doing those and uh
so yeah, I guess. I mean they work. So No,

(05:33):
it was great. I just leaned on the guys up
front and they moved the pile balance. What does that emotionally? Yeah,
I mean I think it's it's obviously you know, it's
great for me, it's great for everybody on the office.
I think it's great for Sean too, right when he
knows that we're handing the ball off and getting yards.

(05:53):
The whole playbook comes alive. The ability to move the pocket,
play actions, quick game, whatever we want. You know, it's
it's it's available when you can get six seven to carry,
you know, run the football. And then obviously had some
explosives today too. So yeah, I just can't can't say
enough about our our guys up front and how well
they played in our backs really tight ends. Everybody that's
involved in the blocking surface did a hell of the job.

(06:14):
Marcus Robinson, Yeah, I think you and I think he
played nice. Obviously had a big catch there, got us
down in scoring range, and then scored two plays later.
I think it was maybe it was one play, I
can't remember. We flipped the corder, but uh no, I
was happy for him. Man, he's uh he's a big
time part of our our team and an organization. So

(06:36):
I was happy that he came out and had some success.
